For the last hoorah of summer, Lunar Cove is transforming into a kaleidoscope of color, music, and magic for a weekend as the town transforms into an all-out music festival! From DJ sets to some Supernatural star-studded talent, by the end of the weekend, you're bound to be dancing. Sponsored by a new and up-incoming tech startup, Promethex, that has been founded right here in Lunar Cove, Covechella is a celebration of community, creativity, and coastal living. From futuristic tech demos, free public VR experiences, concerts, and influencer pop-ups, Covechella is a music and innovation festival to show off both human and supernatural inventions. So, whether you're here for the music, the art, or just the sunset views, Town Hall is encouraging all residents this weekend to branch out and remember how important it is for Lunar Cove to come together as a diverse community, now more than ever.

REMINDERS

This is a plot-driven event that will start today on 8/15, taking place over the weekend of the 15th IC as well.

Please keep your eyes out for multiple plot drops that will be happening throughout the week, which your character can continually react to.

The tag for the event is lunarcoveevent17. Everything from pictures, outfits, gifts & threads etc. should be under this tag. Starters should have both the starter and event tag.

This event as a whole is mandatory, so please post starters/have private threads about the below activities.

For anyone looking to bring in new characters, we will continue to have regular acceptance throughout the event and, last, but not least, we hope you have fun!

EVENT ACTIVITIES

ALL WEEKEND LONG

Photo Booths: There will be tons of photo booths set out around Shadow Lake for those to take photos as much as they would like.

Hookup Huts: These are official hookup spots that are open 24/7. They will be located by the trailer park and have privacy doors. Sheets will be changed after each encounter. 

Tent Grounds: Feel free to bring your own tent to set up to sleep, as this is a sleepover weekend in Shadow Lake. You can sleep in your own tent or invite whoever to room with you.

Ferris Wheel: Take your turn checking out the festival grounds from high heights.

Tech Demos: Swing by the Innovation Tents to see what new tech might be soon breaching the market, courtesy of human innovation. With the help of volunteers, fae can try out the Dreamsync headset prototype at the K Labs tent, which will allow others to see what a fae sees as they dream walk on a TV screen. Customize your own drone at the Promethex booth and have fun flying them around over the festival grounds or you can meet Tia, also brought to you by Promethex being a protype of a ward-integrated smart system. Like Alexa, tech witches and humans hope that Tia, in the next five years, wil be able to be integrated into homes all over Lunar Cove to be able to detect hostile magic, protect residents from intruders and have a feature to allow you to invite a vampire into your home while you're out if you might, for instance, want to ask a vampire to stop by while you're on vacation to water your plants. If you'd be interested in installing a protype of Tia in your characters' homes, please send a message via a ticket or the main for future plot drops.

Hydration Station: It's a hot day out, so make sure you're staying hydrated! There will be misters set up all over town controlled by our resident tech witch, Margo Howard, as well as hydration packs being handed out to all festival-goers. B Positive Blood Bank will even have a tent for liquid IVs to ensure that no resident gets too parched.

Candidate Nominations for Re-Elections: With the end of both the Mayorial term and the Coalition Leader's term ending at the top of next year, it is time to start considering candidates for re-election. So, if you'd like to run or nominate someone for Mayor or for Coalition Leader, swing by Town Hall and the Historical Society's booths to submit your recommendations and/or forms. (MORE INFO TO COME ABOUT HOW TO SUBMIT NOMINEES IN THE LC DISCORD).

FRIDAY

Hot Air Balloon Rides: There will be one hot air balloon going up and down throughout the day to kick off the event. Please note there is one hot air balloon, so you will have to wait in line for your turn.

Bubble Up: Are you starving after all the partying? Well come down to the exclusive food truck Bubbl is throwing with an exclusive menu just for the festival.

Whiskey & Beer Tasting: Want a little more than just water for the concert? Come to Bad Moon Brewery's pop up booth where they will have beer and whiskey tastings going on throughout the day.

Flower Crown Making: Just in Bloom will be hosting multiple classes throughout the day where you can make flower crowns to give out or to wear.

Chill Zones: Need to relax from all the fun? Come to the chill zones that are set up all around the concert space. They will have light up swings that you can sit on and swing until your heart is content. Also there will be picnic tables for you to take a load off and eat at.

Silent Disco: Take some headphones from our lovely sponsors Promethex, and put on whatever station your heart desires. Dance like nobody is watching while in your own world.

Fairy Looting: Fake trees will be placed all throughout the concert and have hidden holes in them that you can unlocked. Once unlocked you can hide trinkets or maybe even find a trinket yourself.

Friendship Bracelet Making: Come to Wore-Drobe's booth where there will be friendship bracelet making from all up-cycled and donated items. You can also trade these bracelets once they're made.

The Burning Man Pumpkin: Courtesy of Ralph Middlemas, the vampire got a few Lunar Covians together to pull off a massive prank. They stole the pumpkin that had been growing at Holloway Farm to be used as the great Jack-O-Lantern for this year's Halloween festivities and carried it to the Festival Grounds, where they ignited a giant Bonfire. Now, any passerbys can burn whatever they please and help the Burning Man bonfire grow.

SATURDAY

Goat Yoga: After the first day there will be a goat yoga taking place to fresh you for the upcoming day. So get ready to do a downward dog with a goat on your back.

VIP Oasis: The LC Country Club is hosting a VIP pool party for influencers, talent, Clan and Club members. It is complete with striped cabanas, golf-green accents, and a sparkling wooden pool built for the occasion, framed by lounge chairs and umbrella-topped tables, where champagne flows as DJs spin under the sun. Think resort-chic meets festival energy, with just enough preppy flair to feel exclusive.

Highlighter Party: After the sunsets there will be a highlighter party so show up in a full white outfit that you're ready to get dirty. There will be strobe lights all throughout the event for you to sine your brightest. Paint will be provided from Luke's Hardware and Eclipse will be hosting the party (though please note the drinks will be upcharged).

Tie Dye Booth: Ralph Middlemass will be hosting a tie dye booth where you can tie dye anything from your clothes to your shoes. Get inspired and stop by to make a creation of your own.

Heads or Tails Glam Booth: The glam booth will help you get ready for the day by adding tinsel to your hair, doing festival makeup, or even adding face gems to your already done up look. If you really can't help yourself feel free to get your face painted as well.

Cuddle Puddles: Dealers from Eclipse's black market will be handing out drugs tw and unlabeled potions for people to play potion roulette with. After you are hyped up, you can head over to the assigned tents and cuddle in a pile of bean bag chairs.

Shots & Giggles: Starlight Bar will be in charge of the alcohol for Saturday, offering everything from shots to beers. For every shot, you'll get an extra dollar off.

Howling For Hunger: Today's special food guests will be Moonlight Grill, who are offering burgers, fries, hot dogs, and more to help refuel you for the day.

SUNDAY

Free Breakfast: As a thank you for all the money raised at the last event, End of the Line is putting on free breakfast for all those who are attending Covechella. Breakfast will be at the entrance.

Daily Drip Express-o Shots: Swing by the Daily Drip Coffee Cart for morning coffee and have one of the colorful express-o mood elixir shots that can give you a temporary dose of emotions.

Tipsy Sand Bar: For the last day Shipface will be hosting all alcoholic purchases offering a variety of different shots (including jello ones), beers, whiskey etc.

Best Outfit Awards: Come to stage B where there will be a outfit awards for the best outfit of the day. The winner will receive a $500 visa gift card and the rights to best dressed.

Heavenly Massages: Come over to the Heavenly Healing Spa booth, where there will be massages to help loosen up your muscles for the final day of Covechella. Bring your bathing suits since there will also be outdoor saunas you can try out, and cryo freeze chambers you can step into that will be monitored by professionals. She will also be handing out free samples.

Dance Competition: Do you think you have the best moves? Covechella will be hosting a Dance Competition that all who want to bust a move. The winner will be awarded a $500 gift card.

Water Slides: With the heat at an all-time high you'll want to take a break on the inflatable water slides. They will be stationed by the entrance and open to all.

Fireworks: After the final artist performs, there will be a fireworks show for all of those who were tough enough to hand out the whole event. - This is also when our next chaos plot drop will occur so stay tune for that.

J.C. Carvalho- You feel torn about the Alpha. In another life, the two of you would've likely been good friends. You're both straightforward individuals who tend to tell it how it is and often are described as taking things seriously. But watching Meena move on and find happiness with him while you're still cursed to be this thing you despise puts a sour taste in your mouth.
