I had covid going into the new year, which gave me a lot of time at home, so I've made a decent dent in my goals for this month - with still a long way to go, and realistically, I know I won't get ALL of those chapters written this month, but I can shift what I don't finish to next month!

My word count goal felt like it was going to be a struggle going into the new year, but I think I'm doing pretty good so far!! Almost halfway there, and we're not even halfway through the month.

Thank you, dear ❤️ it was a lot of work, but it paid off in the end. Now I'm about to start my classes again! My holidays were really short-lived.

I don't know if posting a word count can be considered a sneak peek, haha. The thing has almost doubled in length since then.

I honestly don't know when it'll be posted... You know when you've got too many ideas all at once and you've got to figure out how to make them fit in a coherent story? That's me right now, and most of the time.

I've said it before. I often feel like I don't choose which stories to write, they choose me and I'm just a vessel. And being a vessel can be exhausting, as fun as it is.

Also, what a perfect opportunity to share some news about it haha. So that I keep my own sanity (what's left of it) I've decided I'm splitting the final part of Love Blooms into two. So instead of part 9 and an epilogue there's going to be parts 9, 10 - and then an epilogue.

The word count was getting a little silly and I'm sure it'll make the story more digestable to have it in two parts - as I'm not sure who has the time to read a 22000 word chapter 😂

Anyway, I'm editing part 9 with haste, and I will aim to have it up before my birthday (the 25th, as I'm flying over to Amsterdam for a little birthday holiday!) - although as always, I'll try and give a drop date a few days in advance! You know what I'm like by now aha.

TL;DR: Love Blooms part 9 should be coming to you very soon, as I'm slicing the bloody thing in half - meaning there's going to be 10 chapters and an epilogue 🖤

And I'm glad you think so, because there will be another posted relatively soon!! The Power Couple series (and I'm using series lightly at this point because I'm debating just making it one long story) is my next superbat story, and it's about 2/3 complete already. (Again, depending on if it becomes a series or one long piece.)

Once it's time to work on it, I don't expect it'll take very long before it gets posted. And as of now, it's looking like one of my longer stories. It's been a wee bit since I've opened the document, but I believe the word count is about 22000???

I have never written more than 22k in a month before...

I also want to thank those of you who reached out after my little vent in the tags post. Feeling invisible isn't about the comments/kudos/reblogs, for me, it's about feeling like you belong to the community (which makes it fun), and it just has felt really...not there for me lately. I'm trying to just move on and enjoy it as best as I can - special shoutout to @lightqueer. You know why.

Alrogth we're nearing the end, I feel like I'm saying that's a lot but it's true kind of ish, but there's three more days at least, and after that I guess I'll look it over for some ground errors (T-T) and then I don't know, but that's a problem for future me.

OK, three chapters have now been posted and I'm writing the rest like a maniac. 22000 words / 50 pages and counting.

Today I finally mapped out the full story, and I can't wait to flesh it out and let you read it. There's gonna be mutual pining, danger, hurt/comfort, angst, and a happy ending...all the good stuff!

Confession time

I’m going through a mini-Spiderman obsession right now. 

Specifically, a TASM! Spiderman obsession, ever since watching Spiderman: No Way Home. 

Spoilers below (although if you don’t know by now, where the hell have you been?!)

Seeing a (presumably) late-20s live action Spiderman on screen for the first time sparked something in me. Previously, Spiderman had always been a geeky high schooler and I’m way too old for that demographic. 

But then Andrew Garfield’s older Spiderman came through that portal, whipped off his mask…and I was a goner. 

I’ve been devouring the tags on here and AO3, reading every morsel of fanfic possible…and now I’m writing my own. 

I’m 13000 words in after only 2 days - the words are just spilling out of me. 

Its more ambitious than the few pieces I’ve written before and I’m having tons of fun with it. 

Can’t wait to share it - maybe the first chapter this weekend, depending on how the plotting and editing goes.
