Another chapter is all I want this month. 🍃 Outlines - I have two fic outlines I want completely finished before the end of the month. Hooray new stories! 🍃 Literally so much editing to do it's not even funny.

April has been a little hard for me to get beyond most of the goals I've set, but that's okay! I'm FINALLY moving!! We're actually in the thick of it as I post this - so hopefully that will calm down soon, and I'll be back to writing and posting regularly again!

It's going to take me a few weeks to get caught up, I feel, but thank you for all the tag games, messages, asks, etc! I'll do my best to get back to you guys soon, and post some more wonderful fic updates!

Morceau Oleander and Cal's (Horrible) "Parents", please

OH BOY ! (<so normal)

Honestly I can't go talking about Oleander without bringing up his part of the Li-Po Backstory Document, but can you really blame me? As much as that doc is so old and should be taken with a grain of salt considering the amount of contradicting information to PN2 it has, it's pretty much all we have in terms of more development for poor Morceau, so I'll take it. It provides loads of much-needed insight into Morry's character. Li-Po Doc truthers where you at!!! Rise up!!!

I think it's so so fucked up that the meatgrinder incident happened before Morry could prove himself to his parents. I think hearing that information while being a camp counselor at Whispering Rock, I think that was the straw that broke the camel's back, what caused him to become more cold and to start brewing his master plan. If he can't show his family, he'll show them all.

Which brings him to Cal... Caligosto & Morceau's relationship is so so interesting to me, at least from what little we've seen of it in memory vaults. The doctor *hated* psychics, that much was true, but Morry was (assumedly) a paying client. I believe for that reason Cal is able to set that difference aside, especially after hearing the plans for their project. On the other side, I think Morceau saw Cal as one of the only people who saw him as capable, someone who thought he could do great things. And maybe they could do great things together. [looks at the camera knowing the events of the game] That went well didn't it

After the cruel stunt that he pulls, I think Morry has to regain a lot of trust that the Psychonauts had in him(something he didn't know the organization had to begin with), and that includes Milla & Sasha. Morceau always thought that those two talked down so condescendingly toward him.. but I think only after the fact is when he realizes that they were both always genuine, always believed in him. That truth probably eats him alive night after night. He already had it hard before he stole those kids' brains, now he's just dug himself into a deeper trench, lost more than he had.

I don't think the Psychonauts will let him be a camp counselor again for a while. At least not until Sasha & Milla perform a few mental checkups on him, make sure he's alright. Despite everything, those two still care about him, the time they've spent together still matters to them, and I'm sure it matters to Morceau as well.

(-also as a side-hc I think All Paul was his gay awakening. I think we all know that right?)

Cali's parents are a very interesting case, to say the least. There's so little we know about them it's hard to make assumptions. Nonetheless;

Having such a negative response to their son being psychic, there's some part of me that thinks this isn't the first time this has happened in their family's bloodline. A family with "Loboto" as their last names, after all, might not be just a coincidence. And especially considering the father IS a doctor himself, I wonder what could've set him down that career path. It's food for thought, you know?

We can't really know much about what the mother's profession was, but what I think is that she was an artist of some kind. The tiny replica of the house & the flowers painted on it, the little stitched dolls representing the family? If we're to believe that Cal's entire memory vault in RoR is based on her work that he remembers, he must've had a strong relationship with her before she deemed him an unnatural monster. This could also explain why Cal decides to wear a floral pattern shower cap too. It'd be a little sad to know he might still hold love for his parents who treated him like a monster & lobotomized him because of powers he didn't ask for.

(honestly if anyone could add onto this part that'd be great, I have so much trouble coming up with anything for these guys + I HATE them very much, fuck these "parents")

ok. so. this contains spoilers for the movie gladiator 2 (2024). i will probs add more bc im sure im forgetting smth. tldr - theres not a single historical fact in sight god bless ❤️

- they were so confused abt the message of the movie. they tried to say so much while instantly forgetting everything the moment they said it. oh, u thot this was going to b a movie talking rome as a brutal imperialist force from the pov of colonized ppl? well, it is, for like 10 minutes. n then they forget abt it. rome is good. u thot this was going to b abt slavery n how deeply ingrained it was in roman society? it talks abt that for 5 minutes. marcus aurelius had slaves, they say, then forget abt it after 10 minutes. marcus aurelius was a good man. rome is bad bc its an empire built on slavery n imperialism, we should fix it, n make it a REPUBLIC built on slavery n imperialism.

- ok so hanno is a pheonician name. n he was given that name in numidia. which was an amazigh kingdom. n everyone else around him were aesthetically amazigh??? except for when they were aesthetically west african. im p sure ridley scott still doesnt know where numidia is. (also in the hebrew subtitles they translated hanno into האנו when it should b חנו??? its a semitic name. its חנו like the word חן. whatever. least of my worries.)

- there was a jumble of accents which made immersion in the setting so hard. why did denzel washington n pedro pascal keep american accents while most other ppl had british accents. why did lior raz keep his accent. where is he even supposed to b from.

- ok. i dont like using the word woke in a way that doesnt align w its original meaning. HOWEVER. this movie felt like republicans making fun of progressives n making a movie that was 'gladiator but woke'. they tried so hard to put poc in the story n they talked abt imperialism from the pov of the colonized n characters who were canonly lgbt but also this was all so surface level bc. even the character that was supposed to b the pov of the colonized turned out to b a roman prince n turn around to support rome n the roman army. they still had characters (namely caracalla n geta) b gnc as a way to signal that theyre morally corrupt.

- why were all the rich romans so pale, powdered n sickly looking

- speaking of caracalla n geta. this remains the funniest whitewashing in history. i had to stop myself from bursting out laughing every time they were on screen. look at what theyve done to our beautiful brunettes

if you have any crumbs to share... about aac raz/lili/bobby dynamic pleeeez ramble to me i want info i'm so into this concept T_T

oh my guy I have so many crumbs for you. These guys have resided in the back of my brain forever but I was usually too embarrassed to say anything about it outside of a couple joke posts. But this is my house so I’m choosing to thrive and frolic.

Also a doodle of the aforementioned three before I enter my tangent :) rambling under the cut

the initial dynamic of these three goes something like

-Lili & Bobby - can’t stand his fake ass. She remembers having to deal with him at whispering rock and clearly is not very good at letting go of grudges from when she was ten. This is, in fact, Bobby’s worst nightmare. He was terrified of working for the psychonauts partially because he didn’t want to run into people he used to know. Surprise! They don’t like each other.

-Raz & Bobby. Raz has the complete opposite problem he literally barely remembers this guy. They interacted for maybe a collective hour one day when he was 10 years old, he only recalls him because Lili clocks him and reminds Raz. Bobby mostly hadn’t thought about him since camp, but did build a little (lot) bit of a resentment after seeing that weird little freak from camp pop up on different True Psychic Tales covers. That on top of Bobby now having to intern under this guy makes their relationship kind of spotty to start, for sure.

-Raz & Lili. Theyre having fun :) After having fun “dating” as real young kids they fall out of touch during their teen years when Raz goes to travel with then circus again to try and reconnect with his family (whole other can of worms for him.) They meet back up during the late teen years and sort of pick up right where they left off, dating off and on for a bit and “officially” dating long term for a little over a year now.

Both their relationships with Bobby evolve over time, naturally. Bobby and Raz have a whooole fucking thing that isn’t fully conceptualized and Is way too long a concept for me to share but their intern/mentor relationship does help them learn to get along with each other. And of course them getting along means Lili having to deal with being around Bobby more often and so it begins.

The whole ~ feelings ~ aspect mostly starts with her and Bobby I think, funnily enough. They hate each other, they want each other dead so bad, but eventually they have to learn to get along for Raz’s sake if nothing else. So they learn! Try to, at least. They’re both really bad at it.

but the “i hate you i want you dead” manages to evolve into that more friendly insulting banter some people have. “I hate you i want you dead” (complimentary.) It gives Raz a headache because it takes him a while to process that they’re usually joking when they’re arguing with each other now.

Lili doesn’t like when she starts to have Feelings about that shitty little freak (tm.) I think she’s somewhere on the Aro spectrum and when Raz wasn’t around she really never. Felt any sort of desire for romance with anyone else. Girl just kind of forgot about it for a bit until he showed up again. Which caused a lot of emotions. And then got used to that until Bobby is introduced into the equation and slowly she starts to feel things toward him that aren’t Rage and Disgust. Which causes a lot of emotions.

Raz I think is entirely oblivious of having any feelings toward him for the longest time. While Lili is a slow “oh god oh fuck” buildup, he’s just really happy he and Bobby are getting along at all that any sort of progress in affection toward him just feels like another big win for friendship. I think it hits him all at once late at night on a random Tuesday and he just sits up in bed and stares at a wall about it.

The whole Raz and Lili communicating abt the concept of polyamory would make this insane post already twice as long and it’s not a part of it all I’ve thought about anyways so we’re going to shelve it for now. But once they do reach the conclusion that they saw this guy from across the bar and they liked his vibe, they both proceed to trip over their own feet for the next however many weeks.

You see, “woman who does not process her emotions” and “guy who needs a twelve step plan for everything” is a prime combination for two people who are pulling some mad scientist shit to try and talk to this guy rather than just inviting him out to eat sometimes. And Bobby is convinced for a little bit that they’re planning to dissect his brain or something because they keep doing that ^

On Bobby’s side of this whole equation the evolution is just his own little torment nexus for a few months.

he initially discovers he’s got a thing for Lili after they start getting along more and it sucks for him. He enjoys their flirty little threats of violence but he’s also close with Raz at this point so I think it just kind of makes him feel . Gross . Like man am I flirting with my friend’s girlfriend I think I am. Oh he’s probably going to hate me. Help.

and that concern for Raz is also a guy in the back of his brain knocking on a door very loudly trying to tell him he’s bisexual but he’s not quite arrived at that conclusion. Give him a few more missions where Raz grabs him while he’s falling to his death and he’ll get there probably.

there’s so many words. These are so many words. I’ll be honest the wacky schenanigans of the “before relationship” era are so funny to me that I’ve not really had any conceptual ideas for them getting into + Being In a Relationship yet. But I hope that you like this at least! This insanely long ass post goes out to you and the one other guy who’s a fan of these three (hi)

These past few weeks have been insanely weird for me socially/emotionally, so I apologize for my absence, and lack of fic updates yet. I have a lot of editing to do, and will work on that very soon! I'm also in the process of moving, so it's been A Time™️.

Raz knows two things, computers - and that people can't be trusted. However on the run, and with the head of the Russian mob seeking to put her back in a cage Raz must quickly decide if Emet Shultz of the FBI can be trusted, and if he can help her unlock the treacherous secrets of her past. As the past reveals itself, one thing becomes clear- nothing is as it seems, and sometimes lies are easier to stomach than the truth.

Ethereal Mischief: Book one of the EM Trilogy (complete)

Summary: Okay, really. Who expects to be murdered on their birthday? Definitely not Althea; and especially not by a god straight out of mythology. Hades however, is real and hell bent on using Althea as a tool to fulfill his own desires. From her own identity to her mother’s death, Hades reveals that her entire life has been a carefully constructed lie. In a world where a broken promise can lead to a lifetime of debt, Althea must fight against those who seek to control her.

Divine Intervention: Book two of the EM Trilogy (also complete but first draft)

Summary: Dealing with the reality that mythology is NOT in fact myth was one thing. Dealing with the fact that her dead mother was NOT in fact dead- but a goddess, and very much alive was another. Now Althea has new problem. As real as the Greek God of pantheons has become, she is suddenly dragged into a deep feud between the Greek and Norse pantheon, when twin girls show up on her doorstep half dead and desperate to get home. Will Althea be able to help them? Or will helping them only push her further down the path to madness?

Uhhh Honestly I do not. The archive app was very buggy. It's been a while so others can correct me if I'm wrong, but if you had too many characters then it didn't record any of your account's progress.

The images never showed and if you tried to watch the transformation video, it just gave you Tsuruno's. Needless to say, I was pretty disgusted by how useless it was and deleted it pretty quickly.

Thinking back on it, I'm thinking that the archive app at the end for NA was made by maybe one or two people who were probably overworked/underpaid trying to deliver a product that ultimately didn't work. I'm thankful that the development of the archive app gave us another month before NA's EOS though, because it gave me more time to record things.

However, for the upcoming JP Archive, we do have some select information. And it looks like it's going to be different than the one for NA.

There was a big livestream earlier this month that combined Magia Record news with Exedra news. I made a post that just copy+pasted Raz's thorough summary from discord: you can check out the link here.

It looks like you'll be able to see what girls you had along with progress on them (how many slots, magia, doppel). It doesn't look like you can look at card art, but you can see their sprites?

NA looked like a modified version of the archive, while this looks like you can see the girls in the character screen.

From the earlier Exedra stream summary, we also know that we'll be able to see:

Your Magical Girl info screen, from which you can view all of your Magical Girls and their levels/Memo Slots/Magia Levels/Transformations, etc.

Your info archive, which shows off the information of all the Magical Girls, Memoria, Doppels, Witches, and Uwasa that you have encountered during you Magia Record career.

So it combines the Archive with the Magical Girl Info screen?

The last thing I want to say is that the NA Archive sucked, but that's because I think we weren't going to get one in the first place-- it's been a while so my memory might be wrong on that. It was sort of thrown together at the end to placate angry players.

I don't think that JP is going to be as buggy and messed up as NA was. It still sucks that we won't be able to view events in the archive but it appears that the version we're getting is more comprehensive. Additionally, just based on the way the game is going out at the end, I feel like the devs do care about the player experience. Some things are very slow at getting fixed-- for example, the issue with Kimochi capped numbers-- but they were eventually fixed. This is for a game that is going to EOS in less than ten days. They didn't have to jam a bunch of cool events for two-ish months (THAT BRING THEM NO MONEY) but they did, and I think it's because-- despite all the flaws and the predatory nature of gacha games-- the devs do care about its players.

Maybe. I dunno. Probably?

My point being, I am tentatively hopeful that the upcoming EOS archive app will be far more useful than the NA one and much less buggy.

Mystery Gems: Backgrounds

They all started out as off-colors. Either discontinued, rejected, or rebel gems who defied the Gem Empire.

Dipper and Mabel were rejected for being too small and weak compared to other authoritarian agates (With Mabel deemed as too "senseless and absurd"). They managed to escape from being scraped (broken then harvested) and traveled to Earth by working together and over time grew as siblings, having the freedom to be themselves do what they want to do (and act how they want to act in Mabel's case).

Raz was part of an elite squad of gem soldiers who were the most qualified to fight opposing threats to the empire because of his vast physical and special abilities. He used to be quite sheltered and had such great admiration for the empire's power and influence across the galaxy until when he arrived on a few planets vibrant with life that he realized how much ruin and destruction they brought upon them and their creatures. This leads him to revolt against his superiors and regrettably his fellow soldiers like the Crystal Gems and eventually find a new squad (and family) to fight alongside with.

Lili is from a line of gems responsible for the clearing of wooded areas and dense forestation to make way for new temples and colonies. She was among the few hesitant Dragon's Bloods because she had qualms about using her power of flame to clear out brush the overall plant life. She would revolt if she could if she didn't have the looming threat of being shattered for doing so. This regret grew with each new planet to colonize. It wasn't until she came face to face with Raz who like her also doesn't wish to exterminate all life on the planet. This finally got Lili to stand up and go against her superiors. Now all she wants is to protect and nurture the the flora and vegetation of Earth and other planets with the gem that can make that reality possible.

A Sodalite's job was finding either water for Lapis Lazuli's to use for terraforming or minerals and resources for constructing temples or gem reproduction using their special dowsing ability. But Coraline wanted more than to be a walking and flying detector and explore her surroundings without being on an upper gem's watch. Unfortunately, with the rise of gem technology's progress in finding resources that surpassed that of Sodalites, they were deemed no longer necessary and were to be discontinued by shattering and harvesting. Coraline narrowly escaped and managed to catch a ride on a warp pad alongside another gem she recused from almost being discontinued. Now she's finally free to live her own life and has a whole team to explore the galaxy with.

Lodestones were also one of the discontinued gem lines along with sodalites. They were used to attract and collect various metals for the empire's "genius" machines and technology, only for said technology to attract and collect metals more efficiently. Just as Wybie was about to be finished, he was grabbed by a lone runaway sodalite. Thanks to her water wings and his magnetism, they barely managed to take warp pad light years away from the colony. He's stuck by the sodalite's side ever since then. Through the years they ventured out into the galaxy, exploring planets one by one. Though he's gained an interest in hunting for various insects and other small creatures, he still feels like these planets lack something, but he wasn't sure until they settled on Earth. This planet was a treasure trove of metals and discarded machines and it was then he finally found what he'd been searching for: Collecting human scrap to make his own inventions. There's just something about human machines, transportation, and devices that draws him to them, they're unique and different from gem technology and now he has the freedom to make his own.

Norman was from a canceled line of Era 2 prehnite gems that didn't meet Homeworld's expectations for innovative colonization. The golems he animates with his electricity didn't match up to gems more efficient in heavy physical labor, not to mention they just looked crude and ugly. To see their faces go from fascinated to disappointed really did a number on Norman's sense of purpose and he became anxious about the possibility of being scraped. A certain amber guard would secretly come into the testing lab to provide security (and company) for Norman. When his cancellation became official, the amber convinced him to make their escape and leave homeworld. They both luckily find a ship and sneak aboard using Norman's invisibility. Once he settled on Earth, he took a lost interest in human horror movies (especially classic zombie flicks).

Ambers take the position of security guards thanks to their malleable, hardening bodies. They also probably the most chummy kinds of gem due to their sociable nature. One amber, Neil takes an interest in one gem being evaluated for the next Era 2 production. He just couldn't leave him in that lab, lamenting his existence. His many visits eventually got the prehnite to warm up to him and even accept his help in escaping the lab to avoid being discarded. To this day Neil is still determined to always be by his side, believing he's special and "awesome" with his powers and himself as a gem.

Who is your favorite NPC in the whole game? 👀

As much as I suck at picking favorites, I'd probably say Raz. I'm a sucker for deeply flawed characters with a heart of gold (no shit, y'all've seen the work I've put into Cassian), and for all the issues I have with the game's writing and use of the characters, Raz is one who always seems to give us something new and interesting whenever he shows up.

There's a lot of background given to him bit by bit to imply why he is the person he is, and I like that he's one of the few characters whose underlying issues play into, but don't necessarily revolve around any of the game's overarching plot points beyond the role he plays in the setting, which allows him to meld so well into as many questlines as he has.

Even with the game's quests being laid out so that they can be completed in any order, Raz actually gives a sense of overarching progression from the beginning of the Dominion storyline through the various DLCs in which he's been featured (and even further before then via the Merryvale questline), which doesn't feel shoehorned or diluted by the relative disconnect from one zone to the other.

He winds up providing one of the game's most distinct impressions of a person who has a life and motivations outside serving as a set piece for the player character's objectives, which is one of my biggest disconnects from a lot of the NPCs in the game.

There are absolutely other characters who have similar senses of character growth across arcs and zones (Naryu, the entire world's beloved), but Raz has the benefit of being a prominent figure throughout the entirety of a faction storyline and multiple DLCs.

I've had the most time to get attached to him, and the fact that the Dominion storyline was my introduction to the game itself simply adds a nostalgia factor that the others don't. When I think "ESO character," the first character that comes to my mind, nine times out of ten, is Razum-dar.

He's the character I get most psyched to dive into every time he pops up on screen, he's the character I get most upset at the lack of overt focus the game usually allots individual NPCs, and he's the character I get most desperate to shake around in a terrarium to see what happens.

Honorable mentions go to Naryu Virian, Veya Releth, Queen Ayrenn, Verandis Ravenwatch, and Sai Sahan.

Sashamilla HCs on becoming Parents

Been playing Psychonauts and I love this little dynamic, also these two I could see marrying and becoming parents post-canon and oh boy it would be a roller coaster at first but the two would love their kid(s).

This is set post canon but won’t have many spoilers since I still haven’t gotten very far in 2 yet (Plus I’m planning to restart my save there)

Even though the two had planned and tried for months, not even that could dampen the shock for both of them when Milla uttered those two simple words.

Sasha was the one who took the longest to process just what was going on until Milla pulled him into a tight hug. “We’re going to be parents, querido! Our very own little one like back at camp. Oh, I’m so happy!” (I have this headcannon that Milla would give Sasha pet names in her native tongue when they started dating)

Both of them still hold trauma relating to kids/childhood that while is mostly under their control, does somewhat start to come out more as Milla’s pregnancy progresses.

Milla, while the less nervous of the two, is mostly worried about the rare off-chance that the two might lose their child like all those years back when she worked at the orphanage leading to one or two Nightmares to escape containment. Though they are quickly put down.

Sasha on the other hand is the most worried despite how hard he tries to hide it from anyone. Losing his mother at such as young age and his father’s subsequent depression from it makes him worry about his fear of losing Milla or if he’ll be a good father to his soon to be son or daughter.

I’m not sure if it has been stated but I think it would make for an interesting idea that mothers who are psychics develop a sort of mental link to their children during development. It’s not as strong as one per se that two adults might have as the baby’s brain hasn’t fully developed yet, but just enough to convey simple emotions or to tell if something is wrong. Milla would use this link frequently to check up on their little one. Thankfully there didn’t seem to be any problems.

It happened suddenly one summer day at camp when Milla had to cut a Levitation class short. Sasha had to be the one to drive but at least that was the benefit of always carpooling.

Sasha’s not one for squick being a germaphobe and all. Piled on top of that with nervousness that he was not able to suppress, he really just wanted to leave the room until it was all over. But he stayed by Milla’s side until it was all over.

The first cries of their daughter was enough to bring them back to reality. Milla was more than joyful to get to hold her while Sasha could help but feel both perplexed yet amazed as he held the child. This small human wasn’t just some random kid like back at Whispering Rock, this something that both of them has created together. In a way, it was oddly beautiful.

Their little girl got mostly Mila’s looks with slightly lighter skin due to her father’s genetics, though she did get Sasha’s eyes as Milla put it.

The kid would grow up mostly in both the Motherlobe as well as at Whispering Rock during the summer as her parents were often busy. Though that didn’t stop them from spending time with her.

In terms of personality, she’d turn out to be a mix of both her parents. Very smart and also a little shy, but also very kind at heart and willing to stand up for others.

She was an early bloomer with her powers. Both Milla and Sasha made sure to teach her some of the basics ahead of time as she got older.

She looks up to Raz as a sort of older brother figure. Milla introduced the two when she was still a baby and the little one was quick to take a liking to the Junior Psychonaut. I could also see Raz using a combination of both his background as a circus kid and his own psychic powers to show off some neat tricks to her.

Dragons Rising: Season 2

I'm a little bit more nervous to watch season 2; I like watching things that make me feel happy, and from the brief spoilers I've gotten about this season, this is probably gonna be more sad than anything... But I'll try.

Episode 1: The Blood Moon

New Jordana look, huh? I don't really like it right now, but I can grow to get used to it.

So are the lines on her face just... permanent?

Good to know Raz has night vision.

Jordana is clearly scared about all of this... I wonder how long it will take for her to switch sides.

The bad guys always seem too distracted, intentionally taking their time to get to their targets. I kinda understand why it was that way for the little phone video in the beginning of the episode, since it's such a cramped space to work with and the movements might cause motion sickness. But with every other fight? No.

Wow, Ryu grew up quite fast.

Fugidove? In 2024?

Holy fuck, the news reporter remembered Pixal? Most of the ninja didn't even remember her. Actually, practically nobody in Ninjago city. He's either a super fan, or the writers completely forgot that fact for this season.

Is Intelligent George a parody on someone? I can't tell.

Did Sora really have to spell that out? Did they just... not think that that people watching the second season had already watched the first? I feel like spelling it out like that will make people not want to go back and rewatch the first season to see what they missed.

Also, with how much bigger Ryu is, I would've thought more time had passed. The way Sora had said that line makes it sound like she just unlocked her true potential instead of it being like... a few months ago or something.

Okay, so now we're on the "Arin really wants elemental powers" thing. He seemed mostly fine with that last season. What changed?

Arin, if you're looking for someone to be talking about those still lost in the merge, why the hell would you watch a Youtuber who only wants to talk about the ninja to sell merch? There are plenty of people that you could talk to; the people you're currently around would be far better to talk to about this. I know that they don't have the solution right now, but they are far more likely to come up with one before a fucking Youtuber.

Sora and Arin are such good friends. Even if their interests are completely different, they still partake in the other's activities, especially when the other is looking blue.

Zane would have already heard and figured out these figures of speech back in like... season 1 or 2. But he's still cute. I like that Kai and Zane are playing the video game together.

The layout of this game makes me think of the TMNT arcade game. Nice touch.

Hm... so Lloyd's getting more visions... or he's having a nightmare... or both?

So... Zane and Sora are gonna get taken down. Is Arin going to rebel, betray them? Beatrix is clearly coming back, which I figured would happen after she disappeared into that merge-quake at the end of last season.

Wu watching over his nephew is nice, but... where's Garmadon? Sure, Wu is probably more iconic and a better teacher, but Garmadon is Lloyd's father. I want to see him again... would he have the same golden glow that Wu's ghost does, or would he have a purple glow or be a purple void?

Also, where's Nya? I don't think I've seen her at all this episode.

Why is Arin's voice so soft now? It's like he's constantly whispering into the mic?

Wait, the writers of destiny are still a thing? I would've thought that they would have disbanded after it was proven that writing the future didn't actually mean anything.

I really enjoy Percival's character now. He's learning, he's helping out, and he seems to be kinder than when he was under Beatrix's rule. I think the rebellion was good for him.

The Master Writer was so scared, he didn't even try to run. Wow. Anyone will let the bad guys overthrow them, huh.

Euphrasia should seriously train with the other ninja; she's far too weak to be looking after a kingdom alone. (Yes, I know that they're making all the ninja really bad at fighting to make it look like the smoke ninja is way stronger than them, but still.)

Why did Euphrasia have to say that? She could have looked relieved instead of saying that terribly said "Thank goodness your okay!"

Bigger groups are hard to be stealthy with, and most of them aren't really being useful. They should've picked three to go in while everyone else stays behind as back up.

So Raz was the reason the worms turned evil last season. Hm...

I'm still not over it. Why is Ryu here? It should've been Lloyd, Arin, and Zane; Lloyd because he needs to confirm his visions, Arin because he's really foreshadowing something, and Zane to confirm the stupid language thing. Euphrasia would've been a good choice to bring if she wasn't using a crutch. Everyone else is just... here for no fucking reason except to just listen to the Master Writer. They're not really hiding, so any of the wolf-masked characters could easily find them. They didn't bother animating anyone except Lloyd and Arin going up the wall; they all just kinda teleported. This is bothering me so bad. (Not everyone has to be here to listen. The three that would've gone could've spread the information off screen so it didn't become too repetitive.)

Why did the gong only affect the wolf-masks? Is the detail I missed that they have to be wearing the wolf mask to be affected by the gong? That seems dumb.

Episode 4: Force From The East

Ooh, finally! Back to Cole.

God, Geo and Cole are so fruity.

That was a mouthful of exposition. They could've had a mini flashback of that moment from last season when Cole left and followed Wu. Sure, Geo didn't see that, but this show has never shied away from showing other character's perspectives during flashback sequences told by another character.

Geo being worried about Cole.

They're such an artistic family.

Bonzle is gonna make Geo panic.

Kai and Nya working together is sweet.

So that's why I thought the Glacier reunion was so... weird and terrible. They're in the middle of a chase scene.

I like how Zane tries to decipher what the problem is by examining his face... I'm so normal about this pairing, I swear.

I like how this episode is split into the stuff that Lloyd and crew were doing and Cole and family were doing, but I focus on just the Cole and family stuff. Mostly just Cole and Geo. They're family is really sweet and care about one another so deeply. Fritz and Spitz need more to do, though; they're kinda just... kids in the middle of everything, but they seem to be as strong and fast as the rest of their family, so... idk

Episode 5: The Spell at the Waterfall

Ah, the Zane and Frohicky side of the plot.

I understand what Frohicky is trying to accomplish, but Zane has already gone to him if he has a problem with the things he's doing. That's just the kind of guy Zane is. This tactic might have worked better with Kai or Lloyd.

Oh, so that kinda makes sense... kinda. For Bonzle to know when the could leave. But she would've sensed that opening a long time ago, and probably would have looked more worried throughout the beginning of last episode.

Of course, there are some critics I have. But I'm liking this so far, even with how often Lloyd was getting panicked and the amount of foreshadowing to future episodes I was getting. Still a little nervous about what's coming, though...
