how do you take commissions. i would honestly love to do little 10 buck drawings but a) people barely touch my posts i just dont think i have the audience. and b) um like i literally dont know how to do it or where to find the info i need.

COMMISSIONS INFO

How do I work: Message me here, note the kind of drawing you want, explain what exactly you want me to draw, provide with references if possible. If I agree to work on your commission, I'll give you a link to my Boosty page, where you can use a donation pool (PayPal\bank card payment), to pay for a commission.

What will you get: A small sketch preview of your commission with an option of One free fix - if something is not quite right or bothering you - I’ll fix it. (Next three fixes will cost 5$ for each fix. Over three fixes the price will get raised on 5$ for each subsequent fix.). When picture is done completely I’ll send you a PNG file, full size.

How to pay: For now the only way for me to get payments is through Boosty (it's like an alternative to Patreon). You can pay full price or half of it at the beginning, and other half - after looking at the small preview.

Notes:

All the prices are listed without backgounds. For head shots backgrounds are free. For pictures of a half body backgrounds will cost from 15 to 20$. For a full body pictures backgrounds will cost from 20 to 30$. The more details - the more the price.

The prices are listed for a single character. For every additional character the price will grow by this formula - original price minus five bucks. (for example: a half body with a flat colour (35$) + additional character (30$).

What I WILL draw: Fan characters, OC’s, game\movie\book\cartoon characters, animals, etc. What I WON’T draw: Gore, porn, mecha, etc. I have the right to reject your commission if it’s out of my comfort zone, has questionable themes, or something I do not like\can’t really draw. Why Boosty and not PayPal?: due to PayPal blocking all of russian accounts, I can no longer work through it. Unfortunately it means there's no invoices and a different website I can process payments through. All payments go through my page on Boosty, through a donation pool. The payments can be made through your PayPal account or a bank card! (If an instruction or any help will be needed - I'll provide an instruction with screenshots. The platform is safe and is used by many artists, who has been dropped and left out by PayPal or Patreon). At the moment Boosty has some issues with PayPal and probably the only method of payment avaliable is by a bank card. Boosty is trying to resolve the issue. Modern Genderbend AU but they're twitch streamers

Inspired by Kat's Post I suggested that modern Femrinder should be a Twitch streamer XD But she'd be one of those who'd be one of those toxic gamers in multiplayer shooting games and shit. She'd call you homophobic slurs while kissing her girlfriend :'D

Lamb on the other hand would be an absolute sunshine, having this whole lo-fi chill aesthetic going and streaming relaxing games or just chatting while doing arts and crafts :')

Some other random ideas I did not draw:

They should have a minecraft world together. Not more to say to that really.

They should do this thing where they make their partner play one of their games, like one of these the partner usually never plays. Like Narinder trying to teach Bella how to play Counter Strike or Fortnite :'D Meanwhile Lamb sits her down with Stardew Valley and gets distraught that Narinder tries to kill the chicken.

On the other hand, Narinder will make Bella play a Horror game expecting her to be terrified and cling to Narinder but instead Bella is not even phased by the gore and scares at all. Like, scary monster appears on screen and Bella just goes "Oh hello there friend!" while Narinder thinks back how she shit her pants the first time she saw this monster :')

They should play Cult of the Lamb. Lambception.

Narinder gets cancelled online at least three times a week and doesn't even make any apologies anymore because she cannot keep up with whatever it is this week.

Narinder's streams are usually her insulting others and her followers, like, that's what you come here for. Bella on the other hand speaks so kindly and sweet to her followers as if they're her friends.

Narinder will tell people to subscribe to her onlyfans but if you go there it's just a picture of her judging you. 20 bucks well spent.

OK it's been 2 seconds since the last one I'm still going, writing isn't working drawing is unreliable so here are my thoughts/headcanons/ideas about Generation Loss Episode 2!

PART TWO: AD BREAKS

So it's not a character I want to talk about but it's related to a character we all know and love: Squiggles. You know through the episodes where he just pops up and gives little comments about what's going on? I was watching Episode 2 yesterday, and one of Squiggle's little things made me go "oh this is certainly an Idea".

"If you're on mobile, buy a computer! Ha ha."

So I was thinking, what if some of the other comments led into little sponsored ad breaks, or TSE merch? For The World watching, I understand it's not us (because we live in a world where Ranboo is aLive and well *sobs*), but the world of Genloss, what if they got ads? They're all sitting down together watching TV with their dinners on their laps, and then Squiggles comes dancing across the screen just before the puzzle is completed (for context, this was when the audience was solving a puzzle to get GL!Niki and GL!Sneeg through the pipe maze). And everyone's enthralled, they're like oh wow they've almost made it, and Squiggles comes and goes "If you're on mobile, buy a computer! *brand name* laptops available now for 10% off if you call today, at 1800-RANBOO, I repeat, 1800-RANBOO! Now right back to Generation Loss, the Social Experiments!"

(I tried to get the 1800 number to be GENLOSS but it has too many letters)

If I could animate, and I really would like to learn just so I can do this, I would make Squiggles do his little thing, and advertise his products. Like when GL!Ranboo is cutting open GL!Slime, he goes "so that's why he's called Slimecicle!" And then, what if he launches into a toy ad targeted at kids for the Operation set of Slimecicle, as pictured in Generation Loss, for only $49.99! Like they have all these little ads, and they're so annoying for the viewer except all of them are so enthralling, so you have houses of Genloss merchandise and sponsored materials, little figurines of all the characters (Slimecicle's comes in an operating bed, and you can get the merry-go-round for an additional 20 bucks). And all of the boxes have Squiggles there in the corner, smiling and saying something either directly related to the product, or a very generic Showfall Media merch tagline.

It's sick and twisted, because you can buy all these things that are so messed up. I'm only thinking about Episode 2 right now, so I won't even go into Episode 3. But like, you can get Frank, and the figurine of Sneeg has a removable hat, and for the clothes room set you get all these customisable options with wigs and shoes and everything. You can get the revolving door that killed GL!Ethan, and it comes with fake blood! Slime kits that turn red if you download a certain mobile app, for an additional cost.

Once again, this post has evolved from "sponsorship and merch" to "fucked up action figures", but there .you go. I just really like the idea of having brightly coloured lumps of plastic designed for kids and megafans with too much money, but it's about the most fucked up things aspects of the show. But it's all haha funny and haha children, and it's a plague. It's everywhere. Target, Toyworld, supermarkets. Like Barbie or Hotwheels, it's one of the big brands. You can get Lego sets where you get two versions of Ranboo's mask. Screaming face Charlie, and happy normal "duude" Slimecicle. It's all plastic, it's all fake as fuck, but the kids love it, the adults love it, it's so marketable and they have Christmas editions, Halloween editions, and maybe ONE edition for some other holiday that doesn't have strictly Christian roots, for the media's sake. "Showfall Media Displays Diversity In Popular New Doll". Just so no one can say they're not inclusive.

Who am I, and why I'll always show where Nuala is mentioned?

So hello guys.

I came to the realization that a lot of people on Tumblr do not know me, and I came kind of suddenly to you guys. So, allow me to tell you who I am and why I hope to become a big part of your "Sandman" experience. I will attach some pictures for references 🩷🪷

My name is Li. My main platform is Twitter. Most of my friends are there too. I hope I can make a lot of mutuals here, too. I came across "The Sandman" one year ago. Now, the Sandman is a wonderful piece of media for people to explore a plethora of dynamics they enjoy. For me, it was a bit of an adjustment.

Before reading the comic, I tried to stan Dreamling. However, for me personally, I very rarely enjoy dynamics with no women in them. That is, of course, me personally. I am not the one who should tell people what they should enjoy. Bi/Pan WLM and WLW, those are dynamics I truly enjoy. However, at the time, I was trying to fit in with what was popular. Truly, it didn't make me very happy because I just don't see it the way Dreamling shippers see it.

So I tried changing my angle. I tried to get into Calliope and Morpheus (I apologise, I do not know if they have their own little ship name). This one fitter me a bit better. However, I have personal issues with the concept of divorce, and I could never quite brush aside the fact that at the end... they were divorced. I even made a Calliope cosplay at the time and met Tom (loveliest person on Earth).

(I envisioned this ballerina Calliope cosplay, and for the most part, I made it work. This was my VERY first attempt at anything.)

He kind of convinced me to just read through the comics. And I did. And it all really fell into place. And Nuala of the Faerie became my spark. I want to make it clear that I love Nuala so much more and so BEYOND Sandflower. She is just so exceptional, so complex. I became SO excited to explore what the Internet could offer on her only to get...nothing. Absolutely nothing. Whatever little official art there was (three-five drawings and it was usually not even Nuala centered, she was just there) and two three pen drawings on DivienArt made in 2010.

Now, one thing about me is that I am persistent as all hell. And it is completely out of line that Thessaly is a "main character," but Nuala isn't. So, in January, I had a very "If no one is going to do it, I will" moment. I began talking about her every day. Analysing, sharing panels, commissioning artists (uni student making commissions, I was kinda of crazy for that one. I made one commission once and then had 20 bucks left for the week to buy food) and every minute since January until today, I do it all for her. Because she deserves to be recognized. Nuala is no less than Lucien/ne or the Corinthian. I have an ask sitting in my inbox that I simply don't know how to answer:

"Why do you think "x" is more popular than Nuala?"

I do not know, to be honest. Frankly, I also try not to care. Because my love for Nuala is not based on bringing other characters of the Sandman down. I do this to uplift her to a status where one day, I won't be the only person on the Nuala tag (I was SO happy the other day when like five new people had made art, SO happy) and not the only one on the Sandflower tag (that is ONLY me for now). And until then, I will be the only one. It's okay. And when I no longer have to be, I will sit back and enjoy the fruits of my hard work.

This may appear very self-centered to those who do not know me, but those who do will tell you I work day and night for her. I have a 70k Sandflower fic, 50k of which is only its first arc, just sitting in my google Docs. I have sketches upon sketches. I talk with artists about more commissions and how to make it so she gets a new outreach. I have conversations and try to introduce her to as many people as possible until they notice her and care for her at least a fraction of how much I do. She inspired me to try sewing and really get to cosplay a SOLID version of her (still working on that).

(I sewed most of the outfit and and it was my second attempt to do anything from scratch. I'll get better at it 🪷🌿🩷)

I like to think she would love it. She only ever longed to be loved. And I love my girl.

So much. We help each other every day. We exist together. And when her actress joins our little triangle, we will make the perfect fairy. The perfect personification of womanhood the way I see it.

My Nuala (Lala, Lali, Lalita, flower, the pearl, sun, if I missed any of my moots nicknames for her, hit me up).

So that's it, dear Tumblr. I am afraid you won't be able to mention Nuala of the Faerie without me because somewhere in May, we started co-existing.

one thing that this article doesn’t mention is their asinine policy on copyright, like you guys think youtube and tumblr are bad with that. i couldn’t tell you how many times i got an email from them telling me they took down one of my drawings because “we received complaints” without… you know, specifying from whom or how many people sent them in or what even the problem was. just a condescending email and a hole left in the shop.

also, if you’re not selling anything, redbubble will basically push you out of the picture. i tried logging onto my shop back in 2021 to see how things were going and they wouldn’t let me. still had the same password, did the whole runaround and everything. nope: they locked me out of my own account and now it’s laying dormant on their site all because i hadn’t sold anything in 3 years (now 5 years).

apparently, their prints suck, too? i just read something on Reddit saying they sent their dad a print of something they made for $17 and it was on cheap printer paper and the quality was like… you know when the printer’s running low on ink and it’s all choppy looking? it was like that.

print shops are basically chump change, too: when you do your research, you begin to wonder why any serious artist would even bother with them in the first place, and you’re pretty much better off strictly doing commissions when you think about it: if you sell a print for 20 bucks, you might get like 3 or 4 in return because they do all the legwork and the irs doesn’t even bat a lash (i thought about that a couple of years ago before i tried to log into my shop like, “i have a little money in here, wonder if it’s taxable” and the answer is no: i only sold a few things from 2015 to 2018 in my account’s heyday if you can call it that, and last i checked before it went belly up, my paypal had 100 dollars in it and it was more like scraps than genuine income. making a bunch of commissions in 6 months is more worthy of filing). plus, they put their brand on your art (and i’ve noticed this firsthand, too), something that you made, and people who visit your shop are faceless to you but not to them. it’s highway robbery.

i see ads for zazzle on tv sometimes and i just shrug because they’re kind of the same thing with a different coat of paint. society6 is the same story, but it also gave me a bad vibe at first glimpse. i soon found out why.

it’s like you’re almost better off making your own prints.

I’m finally back with some Buddie art and this one is dedicated to all the magic, fireworks going off, world stopping, world changing first kisses in fanfic. AMO // Ace x Nemo - Anniversary

According to google One Piece manga was released in 1997. I’m pretty sure it was 2000 or maybe 2001 when I started it. Loving two things with a passion, space and pirates, I remember well when I found it, getting five bucks of pocket money from my parents every week, spending it all on One Piece mangas - And Pokemon cards XD ... and Beyblades (dun ask, I had weird times) ☠

I don’t even know what year precisely I saw Ace for the first time. But I know this fictional crush started with the Manga :3 If I could insert a meme here, it’d be the “it’s been 84 years” meme. But it sure ain’t that long LOL 😂😂😂 PLS IG! I need the option to put MEMES into my texts!

And in all those years, Nemo changed a LOT. Like a lot, lot, lot. But the concept kept being the same: Space Pirate! Now I’m a “grandma”, old in dem bones, grouchy and cranky, but I’m still shippin’ this and I’m still hooked and NO, MOM IT’S NOT JUST A PHASE, OKAY?!?!! 😂😨😅🙄

These two helped me through the worst times, so here’s a smoochy picture on their honeymoon, having the best day ever!!! I swear, I seriously need to draw a wedding pic one day. But I like cuddles and adventures way more! Ace and Nemo are just the comfort I needed in my worst times, and I hope they’ll be with me for another 20-or-so years ❤🤍🖤

Smuggle and Struggle

Chapter 4 of Easter Head Hunt

INT-SMUGGLE & STRUGGLE DEPT.-DAY

BUCK is sitting cross legged on the floor of the Smuggle & Struggle Department, which has its sign above him. This room is filled with various rabbits receiving and sending messages on old fashioned machines. Other rabbits are putting pins on a map of the world. It is very much like a war room.

The rabbit who brought BUCK his hangover drink brings him a steaming mug of hot chocolate which he gladly receives. BUCK takes a sip and almost moans at the delicious taste. He turns to give a nod of thanks to the rabbit and he realises a plate with a hot cross bun is now next to him. He picks this up.

BUCK: Freshly baked? Oh, Mopsy, you are too good to me.

BUCK takes a bite and his whole demeanour relaxes. He gives a nod of thanks to MOPSY who just nods and hops off. BUCK’S little moment of joy is interrupted by FLOPSY giving a squeak to gain his attention.

BUCK: Alright, what new intel have you got for me?

A rabbit hops up onto a dais. It signals to another rabbit who turns off the lights. Then another rabbit turns on a projector. An image appears on the screen, but it is upside down. The rabbit on the dais gives a squeak of annoyance to the projector rabbit who squeaks an apology. The projector goes blank for a few seconds and the image returns right way up. BUCK rolls his eyes like this is a normal occurrence. The rabbit on the dais gives a few informative squeaks.

BUCK: A sugar shipment? What’s sus about that?

The rabbit on the dais squeaks and the projector slides to the next image. This one shows a photo of a dockyard where several heavily armed people acting as security are standing around.

BUCK: You’re right, it is a lot of security for a regular sugar shipment.

The rabbit on the dais gives a few more squeaks when the next picture slides into view.

BUCK: Just reconnaissance? Easy enough.

The rabbit on the dais gives a few more squeaks. BUCK looks a little confused and shocked at this news.

BUCK: And a sample? How am I supposed to get that close without drawing attention?

The rabbit on the dais squeaks as the next slide shows a diagram with arrows indicating a security round.

BUCK: Can I get a lookout for this one?

The rabbit at the projector raises its paw to volunteer but the rabbit on the dais squeaks a negative squeak. The rabbit at the projector looks sad that its not allowed out on this mission. BUCK looks at the dejected rabbit.

BUCK: Maybe next time

EXT-DOCKYARD-NIGHT

Night shows a quiet dockyard where people are unloading crates of what appears to be sugar. Security is pacing back and forth keeping guard over the newly arrived cargo. The head of BUCK appears from one of the crates. He slowly makes his way to an undercover area where the crates are being left waiting to be loaded somewhere else. A voice over is heard while this happens.

BUCK: (V.O.) Sugar cane is the third most valuable crop in the world. People used to just chew on them until they realised they could extract its saccharine secrets. It’s had an interesting journey: New Guinea, China, Polynesia, India, Persia. Crusaders brought it back from the Holy Land to fill the mouths and rot the teeth of the rich. Colonialists spread it to South America and the Caribbean and by the 1700s, it became 20% of all European imports. But all this required a lot of people, and they were stolen, not bought. That’s right, the slave trade. The price of sugar came at the cost of human lives treated as property. Thankfully abolition happened but the industrial epidemic had already spread. Sugar is now responsible for about 20% of the average caloric content.

BUCK moves between the stacks of crates. He hears footsteps moving towards him, so he moves to hide. He stays until the footsteps fade away. He moves towards the back where he’s sure no one will approach. He runs his hand along the plastic covering; the labelling of paper bags can be seen through it. BUCK pulls out a knife and stabs at the plastic. He makes a big enough hole to reach the contents. He takes a plastic bag out of one pocket and manages to fill it with the sugar looking substance. He puts this bag back into the pocket and gets some tape out of another pocket. He covers up the hole he made, hiding the evidence.

BUCK makes his way out of the undercover area, mission complete. Suddenly he hears the click of a gun.

VOICE: (off camera) Stay where you are!

BUCK sighs and raises his hands. The SECURITY GUARD appears and moves behind BUCK, keeping his gun on BUCK.

GUARD: Are you with those green peace people?

BUCK: Does it look like I do?

Before the GUARD can answer, BUCK whips his head back, hitting the GUARD in the face. BUCK jumps out of view. The GUARD is momentarily shocked and gets on his radio to alert the other guards that there is an intruder.

EXT-EDGE OF DOCKYARD-NIGHT

BUCK is hoping to get away from the dockyard to the open field close by. He is running and almost gets out of the light from the dockyard when he is surrounded by guards. BUCK gives an annoyed sigh.

GUARD: Stay where you are!

BUCK: Sorry, I’m not good at standing still. I tend to get a bit jumpy.

The GUARDS start shooting at his feet, but he easily hops around and avoids every shot. He makes his way towards some recently unloaded crates. A few gunshots hit the plastic, making white powder spray out. BUCK accidentally inhales some of this, making him cough.

BUCK: What the fuck? That’s not sugar.

BUCK jumps up on top of one of the crates. He’s still avoiding gunfire but he’s far enough away. He reaches into a pocket and pulls out a small golden egg. He gives it a little kiss.

BUCK: Hope this work here.

He puts it down in from of him. Voices can be heard. BUCK turns to see the GUARDS climbing up the stack of crates, trying to reach him. He turns his attention back to the small golden egg. He gives it a spin. It starts to spin a lot faster than it would have and the ground seems to sink in on itself. A black hole opens up which BUCK then jumps into.

The GUARDS finally reach the top of the stacks to where the assailant is but find that it’s empty, the plastic slightly ripped and blowing in the wind.

Pride commissions

Happy Pride month, folks!

In lieu of the gayest month of the year, I'm opening up Pride commissions, cause I'm a broke queer who needs to pay for his pet rabbit! Yeah, ya heard me right! I'm opening up event commissions before my actual commissions! Isn't that great?

So, this is how this'll look:

If anyone wants a short story or fanfic with a theme of queerness (anything gay, bi, ace, trans, even polyam, literally anything queer) hit me up. All of them are a flat rate of £5 (not DOLLARS, pounds, do the math, don't skimp out) & all of them will be between 1k & 2k words.

If you want a short story, this is how it will work: Send me a private message through tumblr, with a screenshot proving you've tipped me 5 bucks through tumblr (I am not comfortable sharing my paypal account at this moment in time), as well as a synopsis of what you want me to write about. You can ask me for a number of fandoms, & I will let you know if it's something I can write for. And if you want a story featuring your characters, please link me to a few posts talking about said characters so that I can get a feel for their voice & how they act. You can also commission me for multiple stories, although be realistic please, I still have my own life to lead.

This is a piece I made for a friend. For poetry of this style, I will be taking a flat rate of £15, & you can choose the type of flower you want the poem to be about, & I will expect pre-payment as with the fics. If you want a different font, do let me know & I will adjust it accordingly, but for more complex fonts I will be taking an additional £10 for a £25 total. (For transparency's sake, the flower drawing is a tracing of a picture, I didn't draw it. I traced over a digital real life picture of a flower, but I do know how to draw flowers in real life)

To preface this: I am yet to watch Our Flag Means Death, but I have read the original Good Omens novel.

And, quite frankly: I am pissed at people who are comparing the two (for good reason) & then saying that OFMD is better than Good Omens because it isn't 'queerbaiting'. That because it has explicit gay rep, it is somehow better (but, quite frankly, I've only seen that being said on twitter, luckily.)

&, sure, you can be happy about explicit gay rep & funny pirates, I'm happy about it too! But to tear down Good Omens just to uplift OFMD is a horrid, acephobic thing to do.

Yes, you've heard that right, calling Good Omens queerbaiting is ace & arophobic. Because Good Omens isn't a tale of two gay men in gay love. It is a tale of two genderless & sexless beings being in love. It is a tale that is FULL of love, without the sex or the kissing. It is a tale that I, & many others who are ace &/or aro can recognise! It is love without the romance, love without the sex, but still so explicitly LOVE, even without the markers of what the heteronormative society deems as love.

All you allos are entitled pissy brats if you think Good Omens is queerbaiting. You are so stuck up each other's asses that you can't fathom a love story not have sex or even fucking kissing! Isn't this what we used to fucking fight for? To desexualise gay sex so that stuck up, self-righteous Christian bigots stopped seeing our love as something inherently sexual? & now you dare turn around & dishonour a queer love story because it is not 'explicit' enough for you. So good news! I'm heading to Florida for a vacation October 23-30!

Bad news! I'm broke and I need to prepare for the trip.

alright so now i’m subjecting you all to my opinions on the new film red casual outfits because what am i if not the occasional one piece design critic so in order of worst to best we have

zoro: again my man is wearing joots and yes it’s entirely possible it’s the same situation as his year one outfit where they just don’t draw the line clear and concise between pants and boots but paired with the shirt that looks less like a shirt and more like a wayward drifting bag he lifted his arms up and let fall onto his body i am not putting it past him. all their attempts from recent movies to make him look ‘cool and effortless’ are translating more into ‘no one on the crew can get him into more clothes than necessary much like a baby and/or toddler and they just put on as few articles of clothing as they can get him into in order to be considered legally decent enough to appear in public’ but everyone owes me ten bucks if that shirt becomes a tearaway because she’s holding on by a thread she’s struggling she is clinging

sanji: i am yet again denied ‘sanji in a cardigan’ for the upteemth time in a row and as the hate crimes continue so does the god awful combo of SALMON BOAT SHORTS and a blazer in a true testament to my-parents-own-a-boat-and-it’s-my-personality fashion in a nausea-inducing pastel ketchup and mustard a la carte a la fart look. i have seen this man, i have encountered this man, i can name a time/date/name and place and my friends will know exactly who i am talking about. there is a crate and barrel with this man’s name on it, there is a california pizza kitchen he should be vaping near. and yes i am not ignoring the scarf he appears to have tucked into his hane’s t-shirt like he’s trying to appropriate the ascot. you are not peter facinelli’s carlise, you will never be peter facinelli’s carlisle, and peter facinelli’s carlisle i am so sorry an ugly bitch would ever do this to you.

nami: boring! sorry but we’ve seen this combination of bikini top/indistinguishable short bottom either skirt or shorts/heels so many times on nami since post time-skip that it seems like that’s actually just her skin and she’s some kind of eldritch sex horror alien who can’t make interesting fashion choices because the design team is legally obligated to draw her with her cooter and pooter on full fucking display. with the music festival/concert theme, we could have seen a myriad of interesting fashion choices for her but instead we get the same shit, different color of an outfit that oddly has schoolgirl vibes between a plaid skirt and a button-up shirt tied around her waist that i’m 90% sure is an accessory recycled from the previous movie. it’s also in a starfish orange or kroger brand salmon that feels like the most disingenuous choice because it’s just her usual color scheme but watered down. disappointed, but not surprised. also her boots look like watering cans i hate when they give them those fucking shoes.

luffy: if anybody has a same-outfit syndrome it’s luffy and that has been the case for the past 20+ years of one piece if there’s a way luffy can wear jean shorts and shirts he will wear jean shorts and shirts if there is a way he can manage to wear jeans shorts and shirts at his own wedding, funeral, sojourn past the pearly gates i have it on good authority he will do exactly that THAT BEING SAID it’s light, it’s airy, it’s giving me fun, it’s giving me day out and while i am sure the vest has some other purpose and may be a different accessory i am picturing it as his equivalent of a fanny pack or old man fishing vest like he’s got juice boxes in that thing or he’s got adderal he’s got whatever is going to get him through this concert/festival and god bless him honestly we love a consistent king

chopper: i can never be mad at any of the choices for chopper because he seems to fit a very specific niche for the design team because he’s a fucking reindeer but it’s not uncommon for his outfit in his brain point form to be completely indiscernible as anything other than jacket and shorts until he happens to switch to heavy point or another form and then we can see the crimes. i’m not mad i’m just unimpressed with yet another modified theme hat, accessories out the wazoo he’s definitely not going to be able to hold onto (or the animators won’t bother to make him hold onto as the movie goes), and what appears to just be a thematic mess that speaks to nothing about chopper as a character. she’s a bit bland is all i’m saying, your honor, she can do better!

usopp: another theme case where usopp’s outfits are either completely unique or (still unique) but ruled entirely by the theme of the movie. we don’t hate that for him we love to see it actually, but the kiss party city costume is exactly that- a clear and deliberate reference, nothing that really gives his character anything extra, and a fucking eyesore amidst the rest of the team and that’s definitely on purpose. usopp will either lose pieces of this outfit as the movie plays or the change into their end-game outfits will be super quick because i really don’t see him holding onto this one outside of the visual gimmick/gag it’s supposed to provide. but you know what it’s camp and he even technically has a cod piece so yes this is higher up on the list than the others fuck you.

robin: another boring one sorry about it! i like the leather jacket and i like the attempt at asymmetry with the two different boots and the leg accessory but it’s very much a casual concert goer look and too grounded in realism for a one piece movie outfit when paired with the rest of her crewmates in this batch. i have no problems with this outfit on its own, i would make no changes, but if she could have had any other outfit she wouldn’t be the same missed opportunity as nami. like it’s a fucking concert and the design team just went frozen and made our two female crew members pretty and practical. robin could have had any number of face paint designs or hair accessories or spikes or leather or anything and we got like. a sundress to cover her absolute lack of existing ass or pelvic bones.

franky: i can’t fault franky for being what is probably the one character the design team has fun with every time without fail but the beatbox is the same gimmicky, won’t last very long or won’t feature super prominently because it’s too hard to draw look that we’ll probably see with usopp. as an unfortunate side effect this is giving me less music festival and more optimus prime but like a shitty cardboard optimus prime someone made in the 1980s in their basement because transformers was cool but their mom didn’t want to get the store bought costume and if they showed up to trick or treating without it they would be mocked endlessly at the 4th grade water cantina. and his expression in most of the promo art is not not giving me that? so i dunno man

brook & jinbe: perfection as usual. glad to see jinbe is joining brook in impeccable design for the movies club. i have no notes.
