I was looking through my folder of paintings, thinking if one of them could be turned into fanart. I found this one and thought it would fit Crowley very well. Well, turns out the name makes it even more fitting! The Incident in Good Omens That Broke All of Our Hearts, happened after a dance/ball (the painting is also known as "After the Ball"), which is just incredibly serendipitous.
Also of course everything about the pose, the dark clothes and the red hair just screamed Crowley to me.

man i remember when my time at sandrock was still in development and there was some dev update introducing the town doctor character, fang, with his pretty delicate facial features and long shampoo-commercial hair, looking like every cliche of a "cold, reserved anime pretty boy" distilled
and then the update where they said they would make him romanceable/expand his backstory due to popular demand, and i rolled my eyes in utter disinterest at what looked like the same cardboard cutout love interest we've all seen a million times, cuz that is just not my bag, personally
and then i played the game and well fuck, so he's actually disabled due to deep childhood trauma, and you help him through his struggles to a place where it's less debilitating, learn he's extremely, passionately motivated to help others not suffer the way he did, and is in fact kind and awkward and a little bit of a dork
and oh no, whoops, i've tripped and fallen and married him
#my time at sandrock#mtas fang#babygirl has been fighting through something like 2 decades of aphasia#constantly being misunderstood and disliked and treated as weird because he can hardly speak#and mostly communicates through his support animal (talking crow)#been abused and abandoned and lost a loved one far too young in a slow and terrible way#spent years on the streets starving#i swear i would absolutely believe if the devs came out and said he was autistic#and you get to help him tentatively begin to relate to others again and work on his aphasia#(his OWN choice based on his OWN motivations and desire rather than you trying to fix him)#and see him blossom and warm and relax into his life and achieve his goals#and he's always always shaped by his trauma and always will live within certain limitations#but it's never all that he is and it feels like a privilege to learn that as you play#oh man i was so pissed the game didn't give me an option to punch his dad in the throat though#and my god the EXHILARATION when they didn't force fang to forgive#a+ character writing sandrock dev team well done

Thinking every character would be into older men is a weird ass assumption to make actually,especially when the characters in question aren't even adults

the biggest problem i have with the psychonauts timeline is that you can not tell me this man is like 27

And the deluge happened#‘’20 years ago’’… ok so augustus was a child then bc he doesn’t remember anything weird happening with his mom being replaced#and the astralathe wasnt used on him#ergo he had to be between the ages of like baby to 7 years old… at the most generous… to not remember that#so going off that timeline the absolute oldest augustus can currently be is like… 27????#i refuse he’s literally in his late 30’s early 40’s.#psychonauts takes place in the 2000’s in my heart bc the psychic 6 could not have existed any other decade but the 60’s here#40ish years. that is reasonable. that is a reasonable amoint of time to have the deluge forgotten#ir atleast greatly diminished#rhe ONLY thing that doesnt work in its favor is gristol#BUT!!! #mfw a movie has irish slang in it and i am familiar with it instead of usamerican stuff#i have Some Thoughts on the setting of inisherin + the time period given the givens abt the aran islands#but nothing concrete. might meditate on it#like ok im no scholar on the aran islands ive been there a couple times ive read a couple articles thats it#but like. the tourism leaning into their image of Old Irish Villagín With Sheeps And Stone Walls basically overruns its reputation#and the islands have leaned hard into the tourism and portraying themselves as True Irish Old Villages or whatever#and thus settles the situation where like. everything about the islands pander to the tourists#the islands themselves are not doing well as places to live iirc#aging population people moving away lack of amenities and funding and resources that arent Tourism#its a gaeltacht but the tourism business mandates knowing english etc etc etc lotsa shit#like i had a school friend from an island and she was always unreachable on breaks bcos the island didnt have wifi#SO! the islands around ireland suffer from lack of facilities while bending to tourism bcos they gotta#BACK 2 BANSHEES to be clear inisherin isnt an actual island but it was filmed on inish mór and very clearly based on the arans#i like the island setting bcos of the sense of isolation it gives i think it was a good choice for the movie#HOWEVER its like. you know the thing where all irish media needs to be set in the old times#when we were all wearing aran wool jumpers and playing our little instruments and being cute historical dotes#yeah. that. compounded with the aran islands wicked having to play into that in the present day#like banshees itself isnt that bad an offender. the island setting just makes it more obvious and you could tick lines off on a bingo sheet#(shoutout to the obligatory civil war reference)#where was i going with this. im tired of weird 'back when ireland was ireland' shit being Thee thing to make art abt#this is why young offenders is the best piece of irish cinema this decade. i need to rewatch the young offenders

I hate panic attacks
#rant#which is to say i hate the whirlwind of specifically bad times in my life that brought them on and kept them#i hate that they trigger when i feel strong Anything#ive been trying to Dissassociate less and feel more. because feeling stuff does HELP me notice whats helping or hurting me#but like. i WISH it was about feeling joy and pleasure and excitement. maybe ill feel those eventually#but right now Any strong emotion is still ridiculously close to triggering panic attacks#im still terrified to go watch a play. because i LOVE plays and the last times ive gone for the past decade#ive had awful panic attacks because my brain clicked Love them with Intense Feeling into Panic dont breathe chest hurts Hate Urself#turns out my brain didnt just attach the trigger to fear of loud noises or fear of asking for#trigger from self hating thiught loops#it alsp clicked the trigger into: particularly notiveable romantic feelings of any kind (lile someome? have a panic attack! thatll keep u#physically incapable of getting near them! like plays! lets have you unable to breathe sobbimg hysterical so ur terrified to be trapped in#the audiience for hours! fucking hate hate hate it)#neurofeedback and emdr certainly lowered the panic attack rate per day or week to a Lesser per month situation#but im still lucky if i get thru a pa without illogivally trying to Fix it the irrational way i did when young which is hit myself#in the illogical hope if im injured enough ill be able to think again (which doesnt work its dangerous and makes the panic attack last#longer a pa just does Not let u think rationally untol its over u CANNOT try and fix it while in it and dping that makes it much worse)#if i get thru a pa without a concussion ive done much better than usual :/ i dont want any more#im so tired man. i want to go see a play!#i dont want to Try and then end up hyperventilating and crying with my brain imsisting i Need To be Dead for 2 hours#im the parking lot because it triggers when i park. or worse it triggers when i drive and i have to pull over and im trapped x place for#hours. either way i miss the play i wanted to fucking see!#i hate how panic attacks feel like a trap. not even a trap i can fight. its my own limitation. goddamn ive been fatigued ive been dying#in a hospital a few times. panic attacks feel worse to me. at least dying i can do something (eventually) to stop#altho i guess dying for hours in hospital until i got helped was similar. but ill hopefully only go thru that 1-2 more times in life#and i had like 5 panic attacks during that hospital visit since a heart rate so high like 200 cant calm down anyway

Why do some people STILL think Taylor fans are just teenagers?? Why do they still have that assumption in 2024?? Like did they just forgot that Taylor has been around for almost 20 years at this point and alot of her fanbase like myself have grew up with her music?? thinking about how amanita is pretty young for a drow & basically speedran the beginning stages of her life. i think she looked promising on the surface but was also reckless enough that when it was time to step back, she chose not to & had to face the consequences for that.

Are they rivals? Were they active at the same time? Did one inspire the other? xD

I think it’s perfect#their music styles are also very similar haha#given Fairy Ran’s timeline though (weird as it is) Winter Tri Angels were likely active decades earlier#so I would like to think their universal popularity inspired Dadacha to model the VEPPer after them#or maybe the twins themselves were fans#(though they were probably too young so… maybe their dad was a fan and had tapes/cds)#(so since they were in a different galaxy and space music is very different)#(Winter Tri Angels was their only real example of popular Earth Music)#(and something something kids grow up listening to the things their parents like)#(something something they wanted their dad to notice them)#(something something I made it sad)#(but I do wonder what the Beppus relationship with their dad is like in the present day)#(given that they don’t mention him were very quick to stay on earth and were generally very screwed up psychologically in season 2)#(I would say it’s probably abysmal :))
