🌗 💕 🌍 🎤 for the ask <3 <3
THANK U SO MUCH FOR THE ASK!
🌗 fluff or angst?
why it is always fluff or angst but never hurt/comfort????? i want my hurt/comfort guys that's all i ask,
(angst)
💕 favorite ship to write?
iorhfui honestly i don't think I have a favorite ship to write?? like, in general i like writing ship and i find them all interesting to write odifh it depends how much i like this particular ship i guess????
🌍fave type of au to write?
uuuuuh... any au? no but really, they all can be interesting as long as i have the ideas to go with it odfih
BUT in general i like modern au/no capes au (depending on the fandom), i also like fantasy au veeery much. I recently discovered my love for some fairy tales au (wait, not so recently actually now that i think about that)... like all of that is so much fun to write. AND!!! the worldbuilding!!! i love the worldbuilding!!
so, yeah. i'm staying with these one!
... except if canon divergence works..... i do like writing about it....
🎤fave line in a fic you wrote?
oh seriously i had to go find a fic and a line odufhu
SINCE IT'S LIKE THAT HERE I'LL PUT MORE THAN ONE
“So,” said Ashley, swallowing hardly on her breath. “You have two moms, and a dad. It's nice.” Not what she expected, but not unheard of.
“Five,” corrected Lian.
“... Five?”
“Yes. Five dads.”
I just really like this one bc it's very funny to me. It's from one of my WIP called "titans' babies vs the world", and in this one you have Lian talking about her parents lmao. Talking about that, here's Bobby talking about their parents as well:
“Yeah. The one who was with dad before, the dad who's Mar'i's dad dad and kind of mom's twin – or, well, they tell everyone they are even if they aren't really, I don't know, it's complicated – and now mom is with mom and they love each other very much. Like dad love mom and mom but in another way, you know?”
If it's extra confusing, it's the point LMAO. I just love these kids so much.
Stephanie flourishes on the road, cheeks reds from the wind and smiling, hands calloused under the work, her bag still light on her hips. This curse is turning into a blessing, even if she doesn’t say it out loud, even if she barely allow herself the thought.
But, for the first time since her mother’s death and what she feels is forever, Stephanie is truly happy.
This one is from another WIP!! A Fairy Tale AU with Steph as the main character :D idk, i just really like the way it flows, maybe it's just me lmao
Dick led the way toward the gardens, keeping Kori’s hand in his. The moon reflected on Kori’s hair in a bright, eerie way. He loved it.
It wasn’t too warm outside despite the summer night; a light breeze was creeping around and chilling the air in a pleasant way. The stars were shining.
Dick still had a ring in his pocket.
listen i'm a romantic at heart... i just really like this part. AND YES it's also for another one of my WIP. Well technically not WIP since it's finished but on its way to be betaed lmao
The last time Tim had seen him was years ago, when Jason was still Robin and Tim a stalker following the Batman and his allies. In his death, he somehow managed to grow up to be tall and bulky, towering close to Bruce’s height - and weight. All in all, Jason was terrifying, extremely competent, and there was no way for Tim to beat him in a fight.
After all, Tim knew that fighting wasn’t his strong suit, despite - or in spite - of all the training he had been put through. But, well, everyone said he had one thing for himself, and it was his brain. Or making wonderful plans on the spot, just like Kon told him two hours ago during their tag game. (That they won, for the record.)
Now was the perfect time to discover if Tim Drake could outsmart Jason Todd.
i just love it because it screams that Tim is about to do something very stupid lmao. AND!! this one is actually from a published fic, aka Checkmate :fingerguns:
“Because you’re Robin.” [...] “And Robin was me. My family colors. My name. I created it to honor my family - and by putting on this costume, you became a part of my family. You became mine, Jase. Not Bruce’s. Not anyone else’s. And you still are, will always be. Robins are a family, and Bruce has no say in that.”
Jason - Jason’s heart was breaking and healing at the same time, full of tiny shards of glass and soft bandages.
[...]
Jason never realized the consequences of being Robin, but this - being part of Dick’s family - was probably the best of all. It was worth it - worth everything else.
listen i'm extremely emotional about Jason and Dick and especially this fic. Anyway, it's from A Nest of Love and Robins, this one is posted too!
Wally missed it, sometimes. Missed the thrill of being Kid Flash, of being a Titan, of fighting and having movie nights with his best friends. When he looked at Bart, at Conner, at Cassie, at Cissie, at Tim – Wally wondered whose legacy they're carrying on. Of course, people automatically thought it was the Justice League's ; but Wally watched them and remembered and thought, 'Maybe they got it from us, maybe they're our legacy'. And that was a weird thought – because the Titans had never been about having a legacy or being one, but always been about being a group of friends and becoming a family in between two punches and a slice of pizza.
this one make me emotional too. I honestly don't have anything better to say, i just... really love the whole things. It comes from Watch Your Past!
Okay now last one but i'm really in love with this whole fic and yes i know i'm the one who wrote it and????
But- It was nice, too, in it's own way. They grew up together, faced death and life together. They knew each other so much they couldn't really hide anything, and sometimes it felt like they were an extension of his own soul.
He had thought, once upon a time, that maybe he was a tiny bit in love with his best friends. He loved them more than anything, after all; that didn't really change, he just added more people to this category. Their children. His siblings.
It hadn't been true, though – not entirely. Because if his interest in them wasn't romantic, it didn't mean he couldn't be in love with them. There are a lot of ways to be in love with people. Maybe it was just another one.
It didn't really matter, in the end, as long as they could stay together – in this life and the next.
[...]
They laughed, loud and clear – like all those years ago in Titans Tower or in the middle of a fight or standing proud against their enemies, mentors, whoever would try to go against them. They laughed, freely and with not a care for the world around them, like they still owned it after all these years. They laughed like they were young and innocent, ancient and tired, alive and free.
They laughed, loud and clear, in the same heartbeat and soul.
[...]
(Maybe they were all a little tiny bit in love, in the end.)
idk it's kind of poetic and full of feelz for me, so, yeah. It's from the fic home is where the heart settle, about the Fab Five!
AND THAT'S IT. Thanks again for the ask, ask list here!

AU where Thomas is a struggling not-so-popular YouTuber, recently out of school and looking for a better job and, since he’s apparently pretty good with kids according to his friends Joan and Talyn, decides to set up a small business babysitting.
It’s all fun and games and the occasional diaper change, until… (long post ahead) (I got a little carried away lol)
Thomas is, obviously, pretty good and experienced with kids. He’s been in the babysitting business for a couple of months now, and he wouldn’t call himself a professional, but he’s making his way through it
One day a woman asks him to babysit her kids
Naturally, Thomas agrees. It’s just a couple of kids, how bad could it be?
Then he realizes that the woman never specified how many kids
Alright, no biggie. Most people have maybe two kids, four at most
Then the woman shows up at his doorstep with six kids, all different ages
Oh god. Oh god. Six kids?! I can’t handle this. Fuuuuu-
“You sure you can take care of these guys by yourself?”
“Oh, of course! No worries!”
He’s in trouble
The oldest is Janus, at fourteen years old. He’s sarcastic, snarky, clever, and hates Thomas. “I don’t need a babysitter, I can take care of myself!”
Next is Logan, twelve. Reserved, cold, and smart. Prefers to be alone with his books.
Then come the twins at ten years old, Roman and Remus. Apparently they aren’t actually the woman’s kids, she’s their adopted them from an ex-friend who never gave them enough attention
As a result, these kids will do anything to get noticed. Anything. Set a couple trash cans on fire, scream from the top of the roof sometimes, whatever.
Then Patton, nine. Sweet, naïve and almost annoyingly empathetic, he keeps the twins in line with compliments and a ton of hugs. He’s probably Thomas’ favourite.
And lastly, baby Virgil. Surprisingly quiet for a baby, his personality is mostly just spite and a fear of loud noises
Thomas is astounded that this woman can even keep track of their names, let alone take care of them
The first day with them is horrific
Logan is arguing with the twins. Patton is desperately trying to get them to stop. Janus is holding Virgil and trying to get him to sleep. The house is absolute anarchy.
Things are seriously getting out of hand when Remus accidentally sets the microwave on fire
(Remus claims it was an accident, but Thomas could easily see the matches in his hand)
He picks up his phone and hastily dials Joan
“Hey, hey Joan? Joan?! Is Talyn there with you? Oh my god, I need you to come over, quick! Remus set the microwave on fire- one of the kids that I’m babysitting! The baby is crying, the older one is yelling at everyone, I think there’s a feral cat loose in the garden- jANUS WHERE DID YOU GET THAT?! PUT THAT DOWN! Oh god, the fire–”
“Huh. Have you tried making s'mores?”
“jOAN PLEASE TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY–”
Eventually everything is under control. The fire is put out, the cat is back to its owner, Virgil has stopped crying and the twins are content to listen to Janus plan out exactly how he’s going to overthrow the government
Thomas is sure he should be more concerned about that, but as long as there’s no more fires
Joan and Talyn are there to support him too
It’s been a very long day, but eventually the kids go home to their mother
The trio flops onto the couch, absolutely exhausted
“Those kids were fun, but I never want to see them ever again.’
Surprise: it’s a weekly thing now
Haha… yeah
Their mom has a new job now, and with her shift requiring her to work for most of the day and their dad working every weekday, Thomas to look after the kids for five hours a week
Five
Hours
Thomas is sure he’s gonna die
The next time they meet goes just about as well as you’d think
There’s crude drawings on the wall, Logan has threatened to smack Janus with a book at least three times, and there’s a knife missing from the kitchen
Next week there’s a food fight
After that Patton shows up with a stray hedgehog
After that Virgil somehow manages to get stuck in the kitchen sink
After that Logan almost accidentally starts a pillow fight with Thomas’ couch cushions
Then suddenly, everything is chill
The twins are more energised than chaotic, Virgil is calm, the rest are content with simply chatting
Mostly they’re just bored and too tired to do anything
Thomas, Joan and Talyn get to talk more leisurely this time as the kids simply talk with one another
Well, until Patton pipes up
"I really like your eyebrows!” he whisper-shouts and points to Talyn, trying not to wake up Virgil
Talyn’s got bright scarlet and pink eyebrows to match their dyed red hair
They look at him for a second. “Oh- uh, thanks!”
“Can you do makeup?” Roman asks
Talyn shrugs. “Sure.”
“Can you do makeup on us?”
Talyn looks to Thomas. “Are we-?”
“Their mom said they can do just about anything as long as they don’t get hurt or break the law.”
The next two hours or so are full of just Talyn putting makeup on all the kids who want them. Full stage makeup for Roman, a moustache and purple eyeshadow for Remus, and a sheepish request for snake scales for Janus
“Hm, dunno what I can do for that one… oh! Thomas, do you have like, fishnets or something?”
“What? Why would I have those?”
Talyn raises a colourful eyebrow.
“…I’ll go get them.”
Half an hour later, Janus looks amazing
Patton can think of a million puns for his snake side
Virgil seems to find it cool
Logan is listing off snake facts for the whole half hour, pointing out mistakes in colouring or shape until Talyn has it perfect
The kids leave that week happier than last time and with bright faces of makeup
The weeks go on and on, and after a few months, Halloween comes up
Their mother is incredibly sorry that she has to work instead of being with her kids, but she has no choice and has to leave them with Thomas
She also leaves a giant bin bag full of costumes
“They like to go Trick-or-Treating,” she explains.
Thomas as actually kinda hyped this time
Outfits! Makeup! Candy! What’s there not to love?!
Apparently the kids share his enthusiasm
Janus asks Talyn if they can do his snake makeup again, to which they gladly agree. He’s going as a generic villain, with a black capelet and cane and everything
Remus is, to nobody’s surprise, Beetlejuice. He’s got temporary neon green hair dye and a cheap-looking striped tuxedo. Remus loves it
Roman is going as a prince. It looks crudely made and even a little tacky, but altogether the costume is pretty good
Logan is going as Dr. Frankenstein, and no he is not the monster, and no that isn’t accurate to the story, and nO GODDAMMNIT ROMAN I AM NOT GOING AS THE MONSTER
Patton is a werewolf, although he doesn’t really get the whole supernatural vibe of it
It’s okay though, his little floppy dog ears look very cute
Virgil is a pumpkin
That’s it
Nothing too special, just a pumpkin
He looks adorable though
The night starts off great, with all the kids chattering away and baby Virgil being the world’s cutest source of attention
The twins are loving all the compliments that come with their costumes
Logan is actually recognized as Dr. Frankenstein and isn’t able to shut up about it
Thomas doesn’t mind, though
After a couple months with the kids, it’s kind of endearing how chaotic they are
The night ends and the kids go back to Thomas’ place, waiting for their mom to come back
Thomas goes to get some DVDs to watch while they wait, and overhears their conversation
“I miss mom,” Patton sighs
“She’s at work. She’ll return soon,” Logan assures him.
“He doesn’t mean it like that.” Janus.
“Oh?”
“Our parents are never around anymore. Thomas has taken more care of us in a couple months than they have in years.”
“Because they’re always working to support us.”
“Well it wouldn’t kill them to stick around a little more,” Roman pipes up
“They’re not abandoning us.”
“I know that!” Roman snaps
Everyone knows the twins’ issues with negligence
There’s a pause, before Remus speaks. “She’s just never around. Dad, too. They don’t want us.”
“Remus, that’s not-”
“They don’t want us!”
There’s another silence as Virgil threatens to start crying again
Janus clears his throat. “We can take care of ourselves. We don’t need our parents any more than each other.”
Another silence.
“C'mon, let’s trade candy. I’ve got a KitKat bar–”
Thomas doesn’t listen to the rest of the conversation
He knows they have it hard
Their parents are always working, and they don’t always care enough to stick around for too long
So he’s determined to do the best he can with these kids
“Hey, guys! I’ve got Nightmare Before Christmas, yes Patton we can watch Elf afterwards if we’ve got time, and yes Roman you’re allowed to sing along. C'mon, let’s get on the couch-!”

It’s been a super busy week, but I finally got around to finishing the next picture in my character lineup for the FNAF Silent Hill AU described here. This one features Funtime Foxy--who Lia calls “Looksy” as a pun on “Foxy Loxy”--and Puppet. Who is just Puppet because she doesn’t see the point nicknames. Not for lack of trying on Lia’s part, though. I was really looking forward to doing up Looksy’s design because Funtime Foxy is a special boy and he knows it. Although, if you saw the previous picture, you might notice that I forgot his little whisker spots--I remembered them here.
The short summary, as usual, is that when Lia befriended Puppet in Simulator, she just went with it. When Funtime Freddy got ejected from Ennard later, Puppet went with that, too, and kept Funtime Foxy alive long enough to get him a body. Now they’re just kind of both along for the ride. The longer summary is under the cut.
Puppet remembers. She is the keeper, the seer of remnant and all the threads that remnant leads to.
She remembers being Charlie, decades ago. Back when her dad was happy. She remembers being friends with Cassidy and thinking that Michael was a jerk. She remembers Michael’s brother.
She remembers the other Charlie, too. (From Silver Eyes) Their remnant is connected, in spite of being from different realities. That Charlie was a robot. That Charlie knew a Michael who didn’t have a brother, and who became Golden Freddy instead of Cassidy, and who left Elizabeth behind to be jealous.
The remnant is torn, tangled, confused. Cassidy, her Cassidy, who died on the same night that this Charlie became Puppet--this Cassidy sees it, too. She was so angry when Michael’s brother, who no one remembers, died. When Michael and William killed him. Cassidy felt the boy die in fear, and took his fears and shoved them into Michael’s head--and then felt the other Michael, the one who was also Golden Freddy, and they were connected after that. Through the nightmares, through the scooping, through the ages. Puppet watched it happen, and watched as Michael’s connection to the other Michael, the brotherless Michael, the Golden Freddy Michael, made him forget what he did.
Puppet was angry about that at first, too, but the only way to fix it was to untangle Michael’s remnant. She worked for years to free her friends from William’s grasp, and she did the same for Michael’s memory. Subconsciously, he still seemed to remember, since he was so desperate to stop his father and make up for his own sins. But, he didn’t remember why he was so desperate. It made Puppet ache. Puppet remembered. She always remembered, when everyone else forgot.
Then Lia came along, and her remnant was tangled, too, tied to Funtime Freddy’s. She treated Puppet like a person, pulled her out of Lefty--which she understood was her dad trying to help her, but was still upsetting--and fixed her up with a new button and a new hat. Lia let her protect the kids who ate there during the day, and trusted her more than Michael, who couldn’t even remember why he didn’t trust her. Did he even remember her as Charlie, all those years ago?
Lia tried to come up with a nickname for her, but she didn’t see the point. “What about Mary for Marionette?”
“I’m a Puppet.”
“Okay, well, how about Poppet, or--”
“I’m a Puppet.”
“...Okay then.”
Puppet has this sort of attitude about most things. She is her, and she remembers it all, so who else should she be? It’s Michael who needs to remember, and Molten Freddy is just a tangled mess, and Baby doesn’t even know who she wants to be. Baby tries to mock her for how (in this reality) her dad built her and used her as the new Charlie, before William refurbished her as Circus Baby, before Baby became Elizabeth. But, Puppet remembers being Charlie, and she is her now, so why should she care? She is who she is, and who she needs to be.
It’s how it is in Silent Hill, too. The fire has passed, everyone else is trying to find their place in life, and Puppet is Puppet. Funtime Freddy (Funny, Lia keeps calling him) wants to save his friends by mixing their remnant with the others, which actually ends up untangling Lia a bit. Puppet holds onto Funtime Foxy’s (Lia calls him Looksy) remnant until they can get a suitable monster body for him. Once he’s awake, Puppet watches over him, to make sure he remembers how to be alive, and doesn’t become like the other children she wanted to help.
Looksy is... very enthusiastic. About everything. He acts like it’s all a musical and compares every action to a stage cue. Funny, Lia, and Honey love it, though, and it makes Puppet happy to see them happy. They get into a lot of trouble and Michael is tired of their pranks, but Puppet is pleased, because children pull pranks, and it is good that they have not completely forgotten their childhoods.
The others, the other children, the ones who now inhabit Silent Hill, are like animals. Not her. Puppet is Puppet. Puppet remembers.
She isn’t sure why telling Baby this is so monumental to her, but it ends up making Bay’s twin remnant threads finally intertwine into one, which is good. When the others are so focused on the Ennard escapade that they loose focus, she is the one who reminds them of William, of the one who cut and tangled all of their threads. Michael considers himself the leader, but Puppet is the watcher, the caretaker, she is the one who guides them to their goal. To Cassidy.
Cassidy has let her remnant rot, and Puppet would otherwise be the one to try to salvage it, but Michael is there. Michael does not remember. He talks with Cassidy, who eventually lets them into her pocket dimension to rescue William, and in there are the nightmares that Michael has forgotten. Then he remembers, and his remnant snaps taught, and his brother is out there, somewhere, but that must wait.
Puppet helps Cassidy tether William’s remnant to the Plushtrap doll before she fades away. Then Cassidy is free, and that’s good. But, so is Vanny, and that’s not. Puppet will not allow another William to be created. Puppet will not allow so many other children’s remnants to be snipped, tangled, and rotted. With William’s remnant in Plushtrap, they have a thread connected to his body, which is merged with Vanny. With this connection, Puppet will haunt her dreams.
Puppet remembers. Puppet sees all the remnant still lost and tangled in this city, and it must be addressed, and he is out there, the last Afton child, but he must wait. Puppet cannot allow more remnant to be trapped here on top of what already is. She is who she needs to be.

Here We Go Again chapter 5
I’ve decided to update this story every Tuesday to make my life marginally easier. Life Is Good will be updated every Friday as usual.
http://archiveofourown.org/works/11776227/chapters/27171306
A couple weeks later, Michael and Craig walked into the ob-gyn office for the regular checkup. They still hadn’t settled on a name, but they agreed to hold off any more discussion on that until they knew the child’s sex. They’d be looking for a heartbeat this time around since the baby hadn’t been cooperating the past couple weeks. Michael was nervous/excited. It was a bit disconcerting to have been to the doctor every other week for checkups. It was understandable, considering that he was “of advanced childbearing age.” There was greater risk than the average pregnancy, but his doctor assured him that he there was nothing to suggest that there was anything to be concerned about. Still, he’d be lying if he said it wasn’t a little stressful.
It also didn’t help that this pregnancy was a bit rougher than his last pregnancy with Amanda. He was more nauseous, more tired, more sensitive to nearly everything. His eating and sleeping habits had completely flipped. He fell asleep at work almost constantly. It would have been really bad if he hadn’t gone to human resources and let them know that he was pregnant.
They took the measurements, took the blood pressure, and all the other things. Eventually, it came time for Dr. Whittaker to check for the heart beats. Michael was grateful to have a doctor as experienced as her. He felt the device move around on his stomach, the doctor monitoring the screen as she had done the past two appointments. Suddenly she raised an eyebrow and removed the device from his abdomen. Michael had to suppress the sudden panic that rose at the sight.
“What? What is it?” he asked.
“Nothing to be concerned about,” she said putting the equipment away. “There is something that I would like to check, however, and I would like to do an ultrasound.”
Michael consented and they moved them to a room where they could perform the ultrasound and Michael lied down on the bed. He let them smear the gel on his abdomen and set up the ultrasound computer. He tried not to be nervous, but he hadn’t gotten an ultrasound this early in his last pregnancy. Hell the first time he’d even seen an ultrasound machine was when they found out that they were having a girl named Amanda rather than a boy named Adam (Alex liked A names). Craig squeezed his hand reassuringly, though he could tell that he was a bit nervous about what this all meant, too.
Finally the doctor was ready to perform the actual ultrasound. Michael found himself holding his breath as she moved the head over his abdomen and studied the screen.
“Michael,” she said without taking her eyes off the screen. “Remember to breathe.”
He breathed. “Does it affect the picture quality or something?”
“No, but breathing deeply will help you relax,” she replied. “Trust me. I’m the doctor.”
Michael took a few short breaths. It was a few minutes later that she seemed to find what she was looking for and she hit a few buttons. When she was done she left the room with the promise that she would be right back.
“She certainly likes to keep her patients in suspense,” Craig said. “How are you holding up, bro?”
“Oh, you know,” Michael said nervously. “This didn’t happen last time I was pregnant. I’m worried.”
“Don’t be,” Craig said. “She said nothing was wrong.”
“How can you be sure, though?” he asked.
“Because I’m here. I got you, bro.”
It was a ridiculous sentiment, but it made Michael smile nonetheless. He squeezed Craig’s hand in thanks and Craig returned it as he kissed his hand.
Dr. Whittaker returned a minute later with a couple copies of the ultrasound picture. She handed one to Craig and Michael.
“Michael, the reason why I had an ultrasound performed today was because I believed I detected two heartbeats,” she said. “I was right.”
Michael was stunned into silence. “You’re having twins, Michael,” she said, smiling. “Congratulations.”
Craig was the first to recover. “Twins? Again?”
Dr. Whittaker nodded. “Yes. People who become pregnant past the age of 35 are statistically more likely to have twins due to the body releasing to eggs during ovulation.”
“So they’re not identical?” Michael asked.
“It’s impossible to say at this point,” she said. “This ultrasound is earlier than usual since there was more than one heartbeat. We’ll be able to tell near the end of the first trimester.”
“Is there any additional risk?” Michael asked.
“Yes, but because your overall health is very good, I expect that your risk is still minimal,” she replied warmly.
Michael was still in shock as they left the office, but he had to admit that it was equally exciting, pleasing, and panic inducing to know that he was having twins. Craig, fortunately, interrupted his reverie before he could wander too far down the rabbit hole.
“So if we end up having twin boys,” Craig said. “Does that mean we can call one of them Forrest?”
Michael rolled his eyes and chuckled, in spite of himself. “No bro,” he said. “I’m still not naming one of my sons, if we have 2, Forrest.”
“Oh well, it was worth a shot,” he replied light heartedly. “You know what we should do, bro? We should get lunch to celebrate!”
“Bro, we have to go to work at some point,” Michael said.
“Do we?” Craig asked, spinning Michael around to face him and wrapping his arms around him, letting his hands rest on his waist. “I run my own business. I can always tell them I’m not coming in. You can call in and tell them you’re working from home today.”
“And do what, bro?” he replied. “Go home, have lunch, have sex until someone has to get up and get the girls from school?”
Craig smiled. “I was thinking we could go get lunch, see a movie, walk around town,” he mused. “You know, the kind of date we never seem to have time for. So what do you say, Mr. St Claire? Will you let me spoil you for a day?”
Michael smiled. “You know, Mr. Cahn, I like the way you think.”
Craig rubbed their noses together. “And maybe if we have time after that, we can go home and have sex.”
“I really like the way you think, bro.”
***************************************************************************
As it turned out, they didn’t have time for sex. Not just yet anyway. They were in Craig’s minivan outside their school waiting for them to be released. River was sleeping in her car seat. The twins knew, of course, that something was up with Michael, but he and Craig had decided to hold off on telling them for the moment. They also knew that it couldn’t be that bad because their dad was practically walking on air, something he hadn’t done since the two of them had started dating. Now, of course, it was even worse. Craig could hardly contain himself. It was actually an infectious kind of joy and Michael couldn’t help but feel his heart warm every time their eyes met and he saw the mix of excitement, love, and elation that danced in his bro’s eyes. Especially since Michael himself was a bit nervous, a bit terrified, and a bit ecstatic to be having twins.
“I should talk to Smashley sometime,” he mused out loud to himself.
 “Why’s that, bro?” Craig asked.
“She’s been through the whole twin pregnancy thing,” Michael said. “Maybe she can give me a heads up on what to expect.”
“You can always ask her when we drop the girls off at her place next weekend,” Craig suggested. “Speaking of which, do you think we should tell the girls?”
 “What now?” Michael asked.
“Sure, why not? We’ve told Amanda already.”
 “She’s 18, though. What if—”
“Bro, this isn’t the first time they’ve expected a new sibling,” Craig said. “They’ll be fine, I promise.” He took his hand.
Michael took a deep breath and tried to relax. Finding out that he was pregnant this late in life was scary enough. Finding out he was having twins was even scarier. If only there was a way to make himself calm down and destress. Dr. Whittaker insisted that he would be fine, that his risk was minimal. He needed something to distract himself.
“I don’t suppose you still have the twins’ cribs, do you?” he asked.
“Well, I have one of them,” he replied. “Don’t have their bassinets, though. Wasn’t really expecting to have another set of twins, honestly. Or any more kids, really.”
“I know what you mean,” he said. “We should probably try to get as much as we can before I reach my third trimester and all I’ll want to do is eat and sleep.”
Craig nodded. “Do you mind if I tell my family?”
“Of course you can,” he said immediately. “Your family is awesome. Are they coming for Thanksgiving?”
“You know it, bro,” he said grinning. “Mom told me that I was hosting as soon as I mentioned that we were together.”
“What, she just told you that everyone was going to come to our house for Thanksgiving?” he asked.
“Bro, this is my mom,” Craig laughed. “You remember her, right?”
Michael thought back to the times he had gone to Craig’s house for Thanksgiving when they were in college because they were closer and he couldn’t afford the plane tickets to Florida to see his folks and whenever he had visited them to escape his family. He remembered her chasing a preacher off her property with a broom in one hand and a fire poker in the other when he had “suggested” that she ought to discipline her oldest daughter for being a lesbian. She had then turned around and offered her daughter some lemonade and apple pie. “I remember,” he said fondly. “She threatened to kidnap me if my parents refused to call me Michael.”
Craig squeezed his hand. “Don’t worry,” he said. “She hasn’t changed a bit.”
They finally made it to the front of the line. Hazel and Briar ran out of the school and jumped into the car like they had just robbed a bank. They drove home, chatting about their days at school, Craig and Michael strategically leaving out the part about them going to the movies without them. Hazel complained that long division made no sense and that their teacher was just trying to make their lives difficult by not letting them use calculators. Briar bragged about how her team had won the dodgeball game during gym. As soon as they were in the house, Craig announced that they had news for them. He set River down on the floor and she ran off to find something to play with as he took Michael’s hand.
“Are you getting married?” Briar asked, her eyes lighting up. “Can I be the flower girl?”
“Why do you get to be the flower girl?” Hazel demanded. “That’s not fair!”
Craig put his hand to the back of his neck and chuckled. “So much for the big announcement,” he said.
Michael grinned. “I know, right? They totally stole our thunder.”
“Wait, if you’re getting married, where’s the ring?” Hazel asked. “Dad, you forgot the ring!”
“Kids, we’re not getting married,” Michael said.
“Yet,” Craig amended. Michael blushed a little.
“I’m pregnant,” he said. “We’re having twins.”
The twins were quiet for a while. “Aren’t you a guy, though?” Hazel asked. “Isn’t that… impossible?”
“I’ve told you that I have a female body before, right?” Michael asked. The twins’ eyes widened and they shook their heads. “No I know for sure that we’ve had this conversation.”
 “Nope,” they said in unison.
“Huh,” he said intelligently. “Well, the short version is that I was raised a girl because the doctor announced that I was a girl when I was born. But I always felt like I was a boy. So when I went off to college I started calling myself Michael and your dad became my roommate.”
“So you’re like Mr. Bloodmarch,” Briar said.
“How did you know about Damien?” he asked, a little shocked that they knew about their neighbor but him.
“He told us once when he was babysitting us,” she said.
“Besides,” Hazel said. “Everyone knows about him. Are you having boys or girls?”
“We don’t know yet,” Craig answered. “The doctor told us today that we’re having twins.”
“Can you ask the doctor to make at least one of them a boy?” Hazel asked.
Michael laughed in spite of himself. “I’m afraid it doesn’t work like that, Hazel.”
“But I want a brother,” she said. “When will you find out?”
“It won’t be for another few months, I’m afraid,” he replied. “You’ll just have to wait. You can get started on your homework in the meantime.”
Hazel groaned and dragged her backpack along the floor to the kitchen table dramatically. “Waiting sucks,” she declared.
“Dad?” Briar asked. “Will we have to share our room with the new babies?”
“No baby,” he said, ruffling her hair. “We’re converting the spare bedroom for them.”
She smiled. “Good!” she declared and ran off to get her homework done.
“Well that was interesting,” Craig said.
“Was that how they reacted when Smashley was having River?” Michael asked.
“Well, we were in the middle of a divorce at the time,” Craig said. “So, no not really. It was more stressful, really.”
“I can imagine,” he replied. Craig kissed his temple.
“Wanna help me with dinner?” he asked. Michael nodded and followed him to the kitchen, feeling legitimately excited to be pregnant again for the first time. I can’t wait to tell the rest of the family, he thought.

Hearts Don’t Break Around Here (Remus x Reader)
What can i say? Ed’s new album inspired this xx listen to the song here
Tumblr media
She is the sweetest thing that I know
You should see the way she holds me when the lights go low
Shakes my soul like a pot hole, every time
Took my heart upon a one-way trip
Guess she went wandering off with it
Unlike most women I know
This one will bring it back whole
Daisies, daisies perched upon your forehead
Oh my baby, lately I know
You had known Remus since you were a first year; he was best friends with your twin brother, Sirius. Everyone knew that you were both head over heels for each other since second year — it was now fifth year and everyone was pretty much tired of how oblivious the two of you were.
If anyone asked you if you had feelings for the tall marauder you would blush furiously and timidly say no. But you knew that you were lying, you had a crush on him since second year and you hoped to have the courage to profess your feelings to him one day, but were afraid to do so for the sake of your friendship.
If anyone asked him if he had feelings for the youngest Black sibling (youngest by twelve minutes but Sirius dubbed you as the baby of the family) he would nervously say no, that it would be wrong to have romantic feelings for his best friend’s younger sister; inside his mind it was different, he wish he could go on and on about how wonderful you were, how your laugh was his favorite sound and how he was definitely sure that you were sweeter than chocolate.
That every night I'll kiss you you'll say in my ear
Oh we're in love aren't we?
Hands in your hair, fingers and thumbs baby
I feel safe when you're holding me near
Love the way that you conquer your fear
You know hearts don't break around here
Oh yeah yeah yeah , yeah yeah yeah yeah
Study dates were a Friday night ritual for the two of you, even though neither one dared to say the word date out loud. This particular Friday you had come down with a terrible cold and could barely walk straight.
“Y/N, you really should rest, I’m sure your professors will understand if you miss class today, hell I’ll even make it sound that you’re dying so they don’t give you any problems.” Lily said as she put a hand up to your clammy forehead.
“I’m not upset about missing class…” you mumbled.
“I’m sure Remus will understand that you can’t make it to your weekly library date.”
“It’s not a date.”
“Then what do you call the love sick lingering gazes?” she teased.
“Sod off, Evans.” You muttered as you sank deeper into your blankets.
“Love you too! I’ll see you later, okay?” you simply nodded as she left.
A couple of hours past which were mostly spent sleeping on and off, by dinner time you were starting to feel a bit better and were about to fall asleep once again when a knock woke you up.
“Come in!” You hoarsely called back. You heard a faintly “Alohomora” and Remus came in with a tray of food.
“Hope you’re feeling better.” He said as he made his way to your bed, gently setting down the tray on your lap.
“Now I am.” You replied, smiling broadly. He had made you some chicken broth and tea.
“Just so you know, Pads and Prongs were very close to starting a vigil for you…” he said chuckling. You arched an eyebrow in response, prompting him to go on.
“Lily really did sell the story of you being on your deathbed, you would think that Sirius would know if his twin was truly dying but he claimed that the twin telepathy wasn’t working properly because it was raining today.”
You snorted, shaking your head as you picture the scene, but were thankful that Remus was the brains of the group and that he was kind enough to come and check on you.
“I figured you didn’t want a Sirius induced headache so I set up a few more spells so he wouldn’t be able to come into the girl’s dormitories.”
“Remus, have I ever told you how much I love you?” you said gratefully but quickly turned a deep red once you realized what you had said. He simply looked down and smiled, running his hand through his already messy light brown hair.
You finished your meal and asked Remus if he could bring you another blanket, he quickly went to get you one.
“Scoot over,” he said. You were confused but did as you were told.
“Remus, I don’t want to get you to get sick!” you protested, not because you didn’t want to cuddle with him, but because you really didn’t want to get him sick.
“Don’t worry Y/N, I’m a healthy wolf.” He said with a lopsided grin.
“That was one of the worst wolf jokes…What would the guys say? You can kiss your comedy club goodbye.”
“Well aren’t you the funny one tonight.” And so you spent the rest of the night bantering and laughing. He had his arm around you, protecting you from the world, your head on his chest. You fell asleep to the sound of his heartbeat.
She is the river flow in Orwell
And tin wind chimes used for doorbells
Fields and trees and her smell, fill my lungs
Spent my summer time beside her
And the rest of the year the same
She is the flint that sparks the lighter
And the fuel that will hold the flame
Oh roses roses laid upon your bed spread
Oh my, hold this, oh this, I know
Not that Remus needed any confirmation that he was in love with you, but the moment he took a whiff of his Amorentia potion, the smell of your shampoo, chocolate, and caramel coffee overwhelmed his senses and prompted a deep blush to cover his pale face.
“So does it smell like my sister’s fruity shampoo or no? perhaps like the sickly sweet coffee she drinks?” Sirius said as he smirked at Remus knowingly.
“Not now Sirius…”
“I’m just saying, I wouldn’t mind having you as a brother-in-law.”
Remus, Sirius and James left Potions class, both of them were teasing Remus but stopped once they sat down in the Great Hall next to you and Lily. You happily waved to the boys and after a few minutes someone tapped your shoulder. You saw Sirius glaring at whoever was behind you and how Remus had a confused looked on his face.
“Y/N Black.” Called the voice from behind you.
“Lucius Malfoy.” You said as you turned around, of course you would have recognized that snobbish voice anywhere. You had been introduced to the Malfoy family when you and Sirius started Hogwarts but since you three were sorted into rivaling houses, the pureblood friendship that your parents had hope for had vanished. Or so you had thought.
“Will you do me the honor of accompanying me for a short walk?” he said offering you his hand while throwing your brother a condescending smirk.
“What if I say no?”
“Trust me, this is not an offer you can refuse, darling.” The way he said darling made your skin crawl, you decided to go with him just so he would leave you alone. Your friends threw you worried glances and you saw how James had to place a hand on Sirius’s shoulder to stop him from attacking Malfoy, you also noticed how Remus was also glaring at Lucius. Yeah, it was better to humor the Malfoy snob than have Sirius expelled because of a fight.
After a few minutes of  walking in silence, Lucius spoke up.
“I don’t understand why you mingle with those sorts of people.”
“Well, one of them is my brother.” You said curtly.
“But the mudbloods, Lupin and the Evans girl?”
“What about them?”
“As if you don’t know what I mean, with such a pretty face, being a blood traitor is something I could easily ignored.”
“Excuse me?” you said, stopping in the middle of the hallway.
“All I’m saying is that out of you and your so called brother, the only one worth saving and keeping pure is you. What do you say if we got to know each better at the next Hogsmeade visit? “When hell freezes over, Malfoy.” And with that you spun around and went straight to the Gryffindor common room, no longer hungry.
Once your friends got back and saw you sitting by the fire with a scowl on your face they knew that whatever Malfoy wanted was nothing good, and they were right.
“So, what did that git want?” Sirius asked as soon as he spotted you.
“He basically told me that I should consider the Black family ‘motto’ and that by dating him I could atone for being a blood traitor.” The room went silenced as you said, good thing it was only the marauders, Lily and you in the common room because you didn’t want anyone else to witness Sirius’s reaction. In an instant he drew out his wand, James tackled him as Remus shouted expelliarmus.
“HOW DARE HE? JAMES GET OFF ME, I NEED TO GO AND KILL THAT WEASEL.” James was currently sitting on top of Sirius, Remus had his wand with a scowl on his face and Lily just looked apprehensively at the situation.
“Sirius, I said no, he’s a horrible human being. I mean he basically told me what mother is always telling us, to remain pure. I’m not stupid, I obviously turned him down.” You said, putting on a smile for your brother so he could calm down.
You all calmed Sirius down, and soon enough him and James were planning a prank on him while Remus watched you carefully. You were far too quiet and he was starting to worry.
You excused yourself and headed towards the astronomy tower. Lucius words did get to you, it hurt that he spoke of your brother and of your friends in such a way, especially of Remus. You didn’t even realize that hot tears were cascading down your cheeks, it wasn’t until someone placed a handkerchief on your lap that you looked up and were met with a familiar pair of green eyes.
“Thank you.”
“Always.” Remus murmured as he pulled you into a hug, your tears soaking his dark red sweater, as he rubbed soothing circles on your back.
In that moment you fell harder for him, if that was even possible.
A couple of weeks passed after the Lucius incident, and soon enough the whole school found out that you had turned down one of the most prominent pure blood heirs. Sure enough, Lucius would throw snide remarks your way whenever he would see you, usually you didn’t let that bother you, although Sirius hexed him at least five times over the past two weeks, whereas Remus didn’t like you being alone in fear that the spiteful Slytherin would hurt you in anyway.
Remus and you were making your way towards the library, it was a Wednesday night but the full moon fell on a Friday this month so you had to rearrange your weekly study date. You were laughing at something Remus said when you were harshly shoved aside by someone’s shoulder, your books flew out of your arms and next thing you know, Remus had Lucius pinned down against the wall, wand drawn out and pointed menacingly towards his neck.
It took you a good five minutes to coax Remus off of the now scared looking Lucius. As soon as Remus lowered his wand, he ran off.
“Are you okay? He didn’t hurt you did he?” Remus asked, scanning you over for any sign of injuries.
“You could’ve gotten expelled if you attacked him! What were you thinking?” you asked with a voice full of worry. Remus started laughing.
“Moony! This isn’t funny!”
“Love, I would get expelled in a heartbeat if it meant that no one would ever hurt you.” You didn’t know what to say, his eyes shone with sincerity and love. It was in that moment that you realized that the boy in front of you saw you the same way that you saw him. You hugged him tightly and he did the same, he looked down and asked you if you were really okay, instead of responding, you acted on instinct. Heart hammering wildly, you rose on your tiptoes and kissed his lips. You heard him gasp into the kiss but he started kissing you back in a heart beat, you were both smiling into the kiss once you realized that you both felt the same way.
“I guess we ought to thank that git for this, huh?” Remus said as he took your hand into his.
“I would say yes but he’s already too full of himself…”
Later on that night when you came back to the common room, hand in hand, the whole room did a double take from your faces to your intertwined hands.
“IT WAS ABOUT DAMN TIME!” Sirius shouted as he and James came sprinting down the stairs. Lily squealed as both you and Remus blushed furiously.
“Now Remus, I know that you could easily tear me apart with your furry little problem and all, but if you hurt my sister…” Sirius said, smiling at the both of you. Remus simply chuckled and shook his hand. The rest of the night was spent as usual, only this time around Remus didn’t let go of your hand at all.
Well I found love in the inside
The arms of a woman I know
She is the lighthouse in the night that will safely guide me home
And I'm not scared of passing over
Or the thought of growing old
Because from now until I go
Every night I'll kiss you you'll say in my ear
Oh we're in love aren't we?
Hands in your hair, fingers and thumbs baby
I feel safe when you're holding me near
Love the way that you conquer your fear
You know hearts don't break around here
Oh yeah yeah
Many full moons had passed as you and Remus began dating, the current one came and went, you still weren’t allowed to accompany the rest of the guys into the shrieking shack but you waited for them to return so you could tend to Remus’s injuries. It was around dawn when Remus came stumbling in, dark circles under his eyes, but overall it didn’t look as bad as other moons. You gently dabbed at the wounds on his face and tucked him in. As you were about to leave he grabbed your wrist.
“Stay with me, love? I missed you.” You nodded, a loving smile on your face.
A few minutes passed by, you thought he had fallen asleep but you were surprised when he nudged you.
“I love you.” He said as he kissed the top of your head with a smile.
“I love you too, now get some rest, I’ll be here when you wake up.” You answered back, snuggling closer to him as he wrapped his arm around you.
You both fell asleep intertwine in each other’s warmth and love.
I feel safe when you're holding me near
Love the way that you conquer your fear
You know hearts don't break around here
Oh yeah yeah
You know hearts don't break around here
Oh yeah yeah yeah yeah

Inspired by this post
AU where Thomas is a struggling not-so-popular YouTuber, recently out of school and looking for a better job and, since he's apparently pretty good with kids according to his friends Joan and Talyn, decides to set up a small business babysitting.
It's all fun and games and the occasional diaper change, until...
Thomas is, obviously, pretty good and experienced with kids. He's been in the babysitting business for a couple of months now, and he wouldn't call himself a professional, but he's making his way through it
One day a woman asks him to babysit her kids
Naturally, Thomas agrees. It's just a couple of kids, how bad could it be?
Then he realizes that the woman never specified how many kids
Alright, no biggie. Most people have maybe two kids, four at most
Then the woman shows up at his doorstep with six kids, all different ages
Oh god. Oh god. Six kids?! I can't handle this. Fuuuuu-
"You sure you can take care of these guys by yourself?"
"Oh, of course! No worries!"
He's in trouble
The oldest is Janus, at fourteen years old. He's sarcastic, snarky, clever, and hates Thomas. "I don't need a babysitter, I can take care of myself!"
Next is Logan, twelve. Reserved, cold, and smart. Prefers to be alone with his books.
Then come the twins at ten years old, Roman and Remus. Apparently they aren't actually the woman's kids, she's their adopted them from an ex-friend who never gave them enough attention
He's probably Thomas' favourite.
"Hey, hey Joan? Joan?! Is Talyn there with you? Oh my god, I need you to come over, quick! Remus set the microwave on fire- one of the kids that I'm babysitting! The baby is crying, the older one is yelling at everyone, I think there's a feral cat loose in the garden- jANUS WHERE DID YOU GET THAT?! PUT THAT DOWN! Oh god, the fire--"
"Huh. Have you tried making s'mores?"
"jOAN PLEASE TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY--"
Eventually everything is under control. The fire is put out, the cat is back to its owner, Virgil has stopped crying and the twins are content to listen to Janus plan out exactly how he's going to overthrow the government
Thomas is sure he should be more concerned about that, but as long as there's no more fires
Joan and Talyn are there too to support him too
It's been a very long day, but eventually the kids go home to their mother
The trio flops onto the couch, absolutely exhausted
"Those kids were fun, but I never want to see them ever again.'
Surprise: it's a weekly thing now
Haha... yeah
Their mom has a new job now, and with her shift requiring her to work for most of the day and their dad working every weekday, Thomas to look after the kids for five hours a week
Five
Hours
Thomas is sure he's gonna die
The next time they meet goes just about as well as you'd think
There's crude drawings on the wall, Logan has threatened to smack Janus with a book at least three times, and there's a knife missing from the kitchen
Next week there's a food fight
After that Patton shows up with a stray hedgehog
After that Virgil somehow manages to get stuck in the kitchen sink
After that Logan almost accidentally starts a pillow fight with Thomas' couch cushions
Then suddenly, everything is chill
The twins are more energised than chaotic, Virgil is calm, the rest are content with simply chatting
Mostly they're just bored and too tired to do anything
Thomas, Joan and Talyn get to talk more leisurely this time as the kids simply talk with one another
Well, until Patton pipes up
"I really like your eyebrows!" he whisper-shouts and points to Talyn, trying not to wake up Virgil
Talyn's got bright scarlet and pink eyebrows to match their dyed red hair
They look at him for a second. "Oh- uh, thanks!"
"Can you do makeup?" Roman asks
Talyn shrugs. "Sure."
"Can you do makeup on us?"
Talyn looks to Thomas. "Are we-?"
"Their mom said they can do just about anything as long as they don't get hurt or break the law."
The next two hours or so are full of just Talyn putting makeup on all the kids who want them. Full stage makeup for Roman, a moustache and purple eyeshadow for Remus, and a sheepish request for snake scales for Janus
"Hm, dunno what I can do for that one... oh! Thomas, do you have like, fishnets or something?"
"What? Why would I have those?"
Talyn raises a colourful eyebrow.
"...I'll go get them."
"They like to go Trick-or-Treating," she explains.
Thomas as actually kinda hyped this time
Outfits! Makeup! Candy! What's there not to love?!
Apparently the kids share his enthusiasm
Janus asks Talyn if they can do his snake makeup again, to which they gladly agree. He's going as a generic villain, with a black capelet and cane and everything
Remus is, to nobody's surprise, Beetlejuice. He's got temporary neon green hair dye and a cheap-looking striped tuxedo. Remus loves it
Roman is going as a prince. It looks crudely made and even a little tacky, but altogether the costume is pretty good
Logan is going as Dr. Frankenstein, and no he is not the monster, and no that isn't accurate to the story, and nO GODDAMMNIT ROMAN I AM NOT GOING AS THE MONSTER
Patton is a werewolf, although he doesn't really get the whole supernatural vibe of it
It's okay though, his little floppy dog ears look very cute
Virgil is a pumpkin
That's it
Nothing too special, just a pumpkin
He looks adorable though
The night starts off great, with all the kids chattering away and baby Virgil being the world's cutest source of attention
The twins are loving all the compliments that come with their costumes
Logan is actually recognized as Dr. Frankenstein and isn't able to shut up about it
Thomas doesn't mind, though
After a couple months with the kids, it's kind of endearing how chaotic they are
The night ends and the kids go back to Thomas' place, waiting for their mom to come back
Thomas goes to get some DVDs to watch while they wait, and overhears their conversation
"I miss mom," Patton sighs
"She's at work. She'll return soon," Logan assures him.
"He doesn't mean it like that." Janus.
"Oh?"
"Our parents are never around anymore. Thomas has taken more care of us in a couple months than they have in years."
"Because they're always working to support us."
"Well it wouldn't kill them to stick around a little more," Roman pipes up
"They're not abandoning us."
"I know that!" Roman snaps
Everyone knows the twins issues with negligence
There's a pause, before Remus speaks. "She's just never around. Dad, too. They don't want us."
"Remus, that's not-"
"They don't want us!"
There's another silence as Virgil threatens to start crying again
Janus clears his throat. "We can take care of ourselves. We don't need our parents any more than each other."
Another silence.
"C'mon, let's trade candy. I've got a KitKat bar--"
Thomas doesn't listen to the rest of the conversation
He knows they have it hard
Their parents are always working, and they don't always care enough to stick around for too long
So he's determined to do the best he can with these kids
"Hey, guys! I've got Nightmare Before Christmas, yes Patton we can watch Elf afterwards if we've got time, and yes Roman you're allowed to sing along. C'mon, let's get on the couch-!"
