a) it's not quite a "body swap." the phrase i've used in past writings for it is "overwriting." i think "suppression" would also be appropriate. the 1ps are, if all goes to plan, "put to sleep". they essentially become a repressed memory. oliver set it up like this because he didn't want the 1p nations trying to constantly win back their body. even so, some nations put up a real fight as they're overwritten (and maybe even a little after if they're strong/stubborn enough... ahem ahem america) italy is not one of them though, partially because 2p italy got him in his sleep.

Hello, could i get a headcanon of how would 1p Germany , Prussia, France, Austria and maybe even Romano comfort their male s/o when they open up about being sa'd as a child? I'm having a really difficult time dealing with this myself...

1p S. Italy is, surprisingly, an excellent listener. He'd listen to whatever they had to say, never rushing them or digging deeper than they want to share. A lot of his affection is physical so he'd likely offer them a hug but completely understands if they don't want one.

1p Germany is horrible at comforting, he's never really sure what to say that could help them but he makes sure to ask them if there's anything they would need him to do (e.g. warning before touching them or avoiding specific triggers).

1p Frace immediately thanks them for feeling like they can trust him with this information and wants to know what he can do to try and make them feel better. He knows nothing he does will completely ease the pain but he tries his best to do whatever he can.

1p Prussia probably ends up immediately crying when he hears what's happened to them. He loves them so much and can't begin to say how devastating that is, he likely just ends up reinstating that it's not their fault and that he's sorry they had to go through that.

1p Austria likely suggests therapy for them if they aren't already going because he knows he can't offer help like a professional can. He has no idea what to say in response, it's never something he's even had pass his mind. He's a little frozen on what to do past that.

What They'd Do for a First Date (2p!Axis, 2p!Allies, & 2p!Nordics)

Here are my headcanons on where I think a large chunk of the 2p!Hetalia boys would do for a first date.

2p!Italy: I can see Luciano wanting to do something fancy to impress you. Probably a tour all around the city of Milan, ending with a gondola ride throughout the city, the two of you nestled in the boat, cuddled up together.

2p!Germany: Probably a bar or clubbing. He'd want to do a bunch of shots and then go dancing, partying the night away before taking you back home to his place. Or yours. Whoever has the most sturdy bed out of you two.

2p!Japan: I cannot see him wanting to do anything huge or fancy for a first date, so I feel like Kuro would be content with taking a long walk through the woods where the two of you talk about life, future plans, etc.

2p!Romano: Disney movie marathon with a bunch of fun, Disney-themed snacks. That's it. That's all I got. I headcanon Flavio as a hardcore Disney fan.

2p!Prussia: Gillen would like to take you to a Renaissance fair. He'd ask about the two of you wearing corresponding costumes, with him as a knight and you as a princess. But, you know, no pressure. Though there's a chance he's gonna try to buy you a tiara.

2p!America: I can see Allen taking you to a skatepark. He'd take out a skateboard and show you some cool tricks before offering to teach you. He loves teaching you how to skateboard, especially since it allows him to be so physically close to you, often with his arms around you in some way or another.

2p!England: Alright, a first date with Oliver would end up being one of two things. Either you guys are gonna be making cupcakes together at his place, or you're gonna binge-watch the Great British Baking show. Or both?

2p!France: François is such a homebody. So the first date you two would have would likely be somewhere very quiet, unpopulated, and lowkey. Either a bookstore or just hanging out at his place watching a movie together and making stupid, nonsensical commentary along the way.

2p!Russia: Curiously enough, a museum. I can see Viktor as a very intelligent person, and as such, he'd like to take you to a museum about world history. Not to mention he'd potentially correct an exhibit or two along the way.

2p!China: Zao would take you to his martial arts class, eager to show you some moves, and teach you some as well. Though be warned, he can be a little impulsive and may accidentally hurt himself. Better have that first-aid kit on hand.

2p!Canada: James would be down for either a nature walk or hiking, whichever you prefer. Just understand that if you were to choose hiking, you'd definitely be scoring some points with him here. As you go along he'd point out different birds and wildlife, dropping some pretty interesting trivia along the way.

2p!Denmark: Markell will take you to a bar. He's not one for big, crowded, noisy places. So a quiet bar that people seldom ever come to would be a good choice. He'd like to talk to you face-to-face over a couple of drinks.

2p!Sweden: Ikea. I know it's a joke at this point... But I just... Come on, it's gotta be going around an Ikea together! That or, Bernard will show you his knife collection.

2p!Norway: Loki would like to take you out ice skating, especially if you hardly know how to skate in the first place. He'd like to teach you, mainly because he gets to be very close to you, and while on the ice you'll have to hang onto him.

2p!Finland: Thurston would be literally the same as his 1p! counterpart in this regard. He'll either take you to a heavy metal concert or will take you out sharpshooting. He actually is more into sharpshooting, seeing as he's not the most social of the 2p!'s.

New Magica story next week. (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Im not sure what to think of this tbh. Cause this seems like its going to be a gag story. De Feo hasn’t even written a single 30 pager yet I believe. And like cool, sick. Shorter stories of Magica just goofing around like in the golden age of Sarda (golden age is probably too dramatic but it sounds nice) is great. But i also kind of wanted the big long Magica stories trend to continue too

If were only having 1 or 2 Magica comics each year i’d rather not have it be Amelia e l'in$olito depo$ito you know what i mean.

I hoped that with seven volcanic witches we would finally slowly see her character evolve past the dime.

In I TL 3451-1P and I TL 3454-6 the dime wasnt the main point of the story anymore. That was cool and the stories were good as well.

Then we got Gastone lo sfortunato

Which (while disappointing for poor Magicstone shippers) again was showing us that she might slowly be realizing what is actually important for her. That these lessons would be repeated until it finally hits and she gets to move on.

Btw on the Egmont side, writer Gaute Moe seems to really try this as well. He has made like 5 stories about Magica who gives up on the dime and often just gives it back. Not even out of solidarity like in older Italian stories but just because she feels bad. It’s a bit silly but i respect it. Gaute Moe is our hero for Magica characterization at Egmont okay? He tries his best to keep up with Italy.

Oh yeah Italy. The lampada bisestile had really great Magica use and had zero dime mention. Then the PK story was pretty bad. Now we have seemingly a gag story about a scheme for the dime so like ehhhhhh im not sure what to think of this.

Yeah i managed to write this much about a single title and one name. I needed to do something for all the not posting about Magica ive been doing lately.

Anyways this is just speculation maybe De Feo will blow us all away with his gag. I shouldnt assume anything. Thats bad. Im gonna assume that its gonna be good. Wait no i mean. Besides from Ireland, do you portray any other nation as female despite having a canon male version?

Actually, yes! I have female OCs for Northern Ireland, Finland, Iceland & Estonia. Iceland started out as a nyo, but I developed her so much she basically became an OC. The other three I set out with the intention of making an OC version instead. I might go back in develop male iceland more, bc I honestly love the idea of Finland being the only female (independent) Nordic.

I also prefer to use nyo north Italy in aus. I scarcely use aph Italy, also nyo. Nations like France, America & Spain, it’s a flip of a coin, sometimes I like to use their 1ps, but I also love their nyos.

I would’ve loved for the Philippines to be a girl too, and I much prefer Portugal original female design over his male design, but I don’t have girl versions developed for them, and don’t know enough about either country to develop female versions.

However, out of all these characters mentioned, the only two where I actively refuse to even acknowledge their male counterparts are Ireland & N. Ireland.

& in terms of OCs that aren’t canon in hetalia, the Faroe Islands, Åland, Cornwall & Northumbria (Northern England) are all also women in my mind.

“Use this.” You nudge a pen to Russia. He pauses, his dry pen uselessly clutched in his hand. His eyes flicker around, trying to see if anyone else was witnessing this. Not many people at the office spoke with him, but you had always been kind. Helped people with work, always there to carry things. You even rushed to his help when he dropped stuff all over the floor. He mutters a thanks, picking it up. It glides smoothly, as expected of something owned by you; nothing like the old cheap pen he was using. You smile at him, tucking a strang of hair behind you ear.

“No problem. You can keep it if yo--”

“Anything you would like to share with the rest of us, s/o?” Ludwig, the team leader, crosses his arms over his chest, a stern expression across his face. You laugh nervously.

“Ah, no. I’m good, thanks.” You duck your head down as Ludwig stares for a moment longer just to nail in the point of his disapproval. You then glance at Ivan, checking to see if you still had his attention, and giggle softly to see you still did. Ivans shoulders untense as you both share a sheepish expression. The break comes up soon after a intense hour, and you have about 15 minutes to grab a snack, a drink, and to relieve yourself in the bathroom. You do the last one first, rushing off before popping into the breakroom. Ivans sat at one the round tables by the vendors as everyone else loiters around, leaning on counters, standing by the door and hovering near the coffee pot. You give your deskmates a smile and a wave before heading to the vendor, right towards Ivan. You see him glance at you so you start a conversation.

“Ludwig is full on today.” You laugh, showing no ill will toward a coworker but gosh, it was a tsunami of information in there.

“Ah, yes it was.” He smiles pleasantly at you, his expression showing his surprise. You type in a code into the vendor, tweeking your lip up. Ivan turns slightly in his chair to see what you’re getting. A granola. Healthy. He looks to his snack he brought in himself. He sees you moving from the edge of his vision and goes to see what you’re doing. He didn’t expect to get a frontal of ass. You had bent over to pull it out the machine, brushing hair behind your ear. Your blouse untucks at the back, and he gets a peak at the red thong you’re wearing. Ivan instantly faces the front, spluttering. He didn’t expect that. What a thing to wear at work. So... kinky. He looks at his food before peaking back, but you had stood back up straight and head to the coffee pot on the side. Ivan grabs his water bottle with maybe a bit too much pressure and takes big gulp before rising. You had found your self in a conversation as the pot boils. He packs up his stuff, not feeling very hungry anymore. He pops it in the fridge, right beside you.

“—so will you join?” Your coworker, a bubbly Italian that had transferred maybe half a year ago, asks. You hum in thought, dishing out your phone.

“What time?” You ask, eyes flicking between him and your calendar app. Ivan could see today empty, as well as the rest of the week. Ah, maybe you were trying to get out of it. The Italian says at 7, and you look over your shoulder to Ivan with a bright smile. “You going?”

“Going out to eat?”Ivan asks, and the Italian nods.

“Yes, to the Red House.” The Italian seems rigid, forcing a smile. Why is he suddenly so nervous?

“Yes, I would like to join you all!” He grins, then sees you make a pleasant hum. “The Red Th—“ He jolts up straight, smile dropping as he feels heat at his ears. “Red House!” He corrects himself. Both you and the Italian share a quizzical look before continuing on with your conversation, you pulling out a thermos from the cupboard.

“I’ll see you both at 7 then.” You smile.

2p Italy and 1p England would be besties. I can see they shit talking people and being a general menace/chaotic evil together. You can see it as ship if you want to, but I like to see it as platonic/found family. Two chaotic evil creatures bonding over the fact that they’re both menaces to society.

You know, since 2P!Italy goes into the 1P world first, he and 1P!England actually have a LOT of time to interact!

As my mind turns, I consider the following:

Arthur is definitely amused at first by "Feliciano" suddenly acting kind of different. They've never been particularly close, because Feliciano's... (gestures) er, joviality doesn't really settle well with Arthur. He'd appreciate the change of pace with 2P!Italy. Misery loves company, and 2P!Italy is nothing if not miserable.

Of course, it couldn't be too obvious: a fun part of the 2P!Takeover to me is that (with some poor actor exceptions hem hem PRUSSIA hem hem) it's hard to tell who has been taken over and who hasn't. Really fuels into the paranoia later.

In the beginning, I could see them being pals for sure. But I also consider both of them too closed-off and distrusting to really get close to one another. For the following reasons:

2P!England is sure to let each and every nation know that the 1Ps are, like, totally evil** and whatnot. So 2P!Italy isn't interested in getting too attached to "England's Evil Twin." (you see, of course, the joke is that, actually, Oliver is evil or something?) 2P!Italy regards everything that the 1P's do with quiet scrutiny... (except for 1P!Romano, of course, but that's for later.)

2P!Italy also isn't really excited on getting attached to someone who is going to cease to exist soon, overwritten by his ACTUAL Good Friend England. (Yeah, I imagine 2P!Italy and 2P!England are friends. And as we've seen, 2P!England is kind of jealous of his counterpart, and 2P!Italy knows not to get too close for that reason.)

On the other hand, while England initially takes "Feliciano's" changes in stride, that's only because he's the first. When it happens again, and again, and again-- and it finally occurs to the 1Ps that hey maybe something weird is happening? -- it quits being endearing and starts being frightening. So. Friendship over. Not that it ever truly began. For reasons not even related to the 2P!Takeover, he's just a grumpy old man with trust issues and a lot of self loathing. He didn't trust "Feliciano" when he was too nice, why would he trust him when he's getting a sudden mean streak?

TLDR: They could definitely be chaotic friends. In another universe, that friendship might even have some truth to it. But with the circumstances being what they are (2P!Italy is possessing Feliciano's body to help with a plan that will result in Arthur's eventual "death," and on some level Arthur is aware that something is wrong with "Feliciano,") the fun doesn't last long. A very interesting thought nonetheless, and a little bittersweet. Thank you Anon!

An unlikely duo to most, but they do get along quite a bit (if you look past the rivalry that they’ve developed in more recent years)! Mainly caused by Feliciano’s persistence to get to know his counterpart more when they were younger, and Luciano having grown used to him after all the time spent with each other, unable to truly dislike him after all of that time. Even with the fact he felt as if Feliciano’s ever so present “happy-go-lucky” personality was odd, especially after all he had endured in his lifetime.

It was irritating, it kinda creeped him out too. Yeah, that was a better way to explain how he felt about it.

Expect to be stuck in a villa of some sorts; a nice, little villa with a garden that’s all covered up by the nature surrounding it, not too secluded from the outside world, for there is probably a nearby town, although finding a way over there will prove to be rather tricky. There is also a high chance that the people there are already friendly with Feliciano. So you can already guess that things won’t go well if you were to ask for help from them.

While one of them might offer you more freedom than the other, neither of them like having you leaving the place. Cameras are set up all around to keep this in check, and the doors have locks that only they can really open and close up. Hell, even the windows do. You aren’t allowed to step a single foot inside of the forest before one of them comes to stop you, scolding you.

Actually, I could imagine Feliciano planting false ideas of the forest in the head of a more naive s/o. Speaking of scary wolves roaming the area, more than ready to tear at anyone’s flesh as soon as they dared to enter their territory. Or would they just put long fences around the area that they own so you couldn’t leave at all? Thinking...

Luciano wasn’t such a big fan of the idea of living together with Feliciano at first, but also wouldn’t bring himself to leave you away from him for so long— especially with Feliciano of all people, knowing how touchy the guy can get.

Feliciano

The more innocent of the two! Or perhaps it’s just a cute little act he likes to keep up so you completely let your guard down around him, only for him to eventually reveal the true mastermind that he was.

...I was joking, but Feliciano does take the more positive image others have of him to his advantage when possible, especially with those keen eyes of his, able to notice small, juicy details about someone that would usually fall under the radar. Although he stays quiet, preferring to just giggle about it until he finds himself wanting, or needing to use it.

He’s also most likely the one that has your favor in this scenario. Being the more merciful one of the two, easily turning a blind eye to your lighter mistakes if you rewarded him for if. A kiss usually does the job.

Feliciano is rather selfish. Often hogging you all for himself— even if he wasn’t the best in admitting so. Which is why he sometimes tries getting Luciano on with whatever activities the two of you may do, just as a little apology. It also means he gets double the attention!

By now; it’s probably an unspoken rule that everything you do has to involve him completely, even if you refuse when he tried asking politely. Oh, you want to walk through the garden? Why not let him join you? A shower? He’s actually been thinking of getting one too! Why not let him join in?

A ‘give and take’ kind of guy, mainly leaning into the end that ‘gives’. He loves pampering you with all that he has, and doesn’t mind giving it all up for even the smallest of services you may give him. But it still has to be fair!

Lots of cuddling. Feliciano likes persuading you into napping with him whenever he has free time or just doesn’t feel like doing something; giving you the illusion of choice until you refuse and he’s basically begging you until you change your mind. He’ll be keeping you close in his arms so he won’t have any less of your warmth. But he’s holding too tightly. You can’t move. You’ll try asking Luciano for help once he comes by, only for him to join in. It becomes too warm. You won’t be able to move. You’re completely sandwiched. There’s no escape. They’re both happy though!

Isn’t one to physically punish his s/o, but it’s mainly because he likes to pass the job onto Luciano, who is much rougher with his methods. Feliciano adores it when you crawl back to him— begging him to help you, begging him to save you while you’re all shaky and bruised up. Too vulnerable to care that he was in on this as well.

He’ll patch you all up again, words of affection, words of concern spilling from his mouth while doing so. Scolding the other for his roughness under his breath, as if he wasn’t just as disgusting for finding you enticing in this state.

Luciano

Luciano is rather...overwhelming to deal with, especially with that fickle attitude of his, leaving you unable to read what exactly is going on in that mind of his at some point. He’s also very entitled, at that. Already feeling rather lonely, or simply upset when you don’t fully have your attention on him exactly when he wants you to. Just think of how Feliciano acts, but turned up a notch.

Isn’t fond of being bored, and will often go to you for even an ounce of entertainment. One of his favorite past times is definitely picking on you; poking at topics that are sensitive to you just so he can see a satisfactory reaction. He especially adores it when you cry because of him, getting to hold you afterwards and cooing in fabricated pity about how he didn’t mean it. How he was just joking, so forgive him, hm? Luciano doesn’t mind it if you’re angry at him either, but just a bit. Albeit ignoring him definitely isn’t a really smart option.

He especially likes doing so when you are more determined on escaping. Mainly in hopes of ridding you of the idea of doing so, or perhaps getting you riled up for it instead. It was fun, getting to see just how far he had to push until you fell to the temptation. He’d have fun crushing the hope you had and dragging you back himself. It also meant he got to be creative with the punishments he got to use. ^^

Physical punishments are his favorite, but he loves it when some psychological torture is mixed in, further rubbing salt on your wounds and basically spitting on your face. Figuratively so.

That was a heavy start, sorry. Let’s slow things back down a bit.

Most definitely means his gestures of affection towards you, even if it doesn’t seem that way. Although he heavily prefers to be on the receiving end. For example— Luciano doesn’t mention this a lot, but he adores it when you praise him. Although it should be clear with how happy he seems afterwards.

Likes kidnapping you from the house just so the two of you can walk outside for a bit, admiring the nature surrounding the area. It really is pretty, in his opinion, and shouldn’t be going to waste with the three of you always staying inside and being hermits!

But he won’t let his guard down, making sure to keep an eye on you. Or he’ll just use some handcuffs to completely seal the two of you together. That always works.

Oh, he’s the one getting spooned when you cuddle by the way. Just a nice little fact.

1p N. Italy:

• A ghost that knows he’s dead and doesn’t really care all that much

• Murder victim, can’t remember who did it and has long since stopped trying to figure it out or remember, a lot of his time when he first died was trying to piece together memories that he lost

• He’s pretty friendly to new people that move in, he really doesn’t mind as long as he has a little space of his own

• Talks to the new owners a lot, he forgets that most people don’t believe in ghosts or expect to see one randomly pop up, so most new owners get a large surprise when he pops through a wall or door to introduce himself

• Commonly found in the garden or taking a nap somewhere, he may just end up floating in the middle of a room while completely asleep, he technically doesn’t need to sleep but it makes him feel better

• He shows himself almost all of the time, he doesn’t see the point in hiding himself unless the new owners have friends or family over

• Especially friendly to ghost hunters that may come around from time to time, especially if they bring him something, but won’t show himself if they bring anything that can capture him on camera

• Will accept almost anything brought to him, he likes it when people bring him flowers but it’s a sure fire way to for them have a ghost following around everywhere

1p S. Italy:

• A poltergeist that knows he’s dead and can’t move on, no matter how much he wants to

• (Tw suicide mention) Went on a reckless bender: Drinking a much as he could, substance abuse, starting fights with strangers, reckless driving, sleeping around, etc. He eventually ended up killing himself via taking all his prescribed medication at once and died alone in his room

• His reaction to new owners is a roulette wheel, sometimes he’s happy to have company and other times, he wants them to leave and never come back

• He really only shows himself when he’s calm or in a good mood, but he can turn extremely vicious when he’s in a bad mood, it’s common to find him surrounded by damage he caused and crying after his outburst

• Will usually clean up any damage that he does make, though it’s common for him to immediately hide away in his room afterwards

• Spends most his time in his room, owners will literally be thrown against a wall if they try to touch anything in his room, they can do whatever they want to any other room but he refuses to have anyone touch his

• Will watch over any children in the house, even teenagers, he wants to make sure that they’re alright. He will spend days awake because he’s trying to keep them safe, he doesn’t want them ending up like him

• Any ghost hunters will be met with something thrown at them, especially if they bring along anything like a spirit box as it’s loud and hurts his ears

1p Germany:

• A ghost that doesn’t know he’s dead, but has a vague suspicion

• Accidentally electrocuted himself while trying to take a shower, thought that he was just really lucky surviving and didn’t question it further

• His suspicious arose when he realised that he couldn’t leave his house, he seemed to freeze up when trying to go out of the front door, but he dealt with agoraphobia as a child so he thinks it may be making a return

• He had two bathrooms in his house, one being an en-suite bathroom, and he physically can’t go in the one he died in, so he just uses the other one, this is another thing that made him suspicious

• As a human, he works a lot at home and got food delivered to him, so he didn’t go out unless it was to walk his dogs, but his garden is big enough for them to run around so they now do that

• Speaking of his dogs, they acted slightly different around him when he first died, they eventually returned to normal but they were very hesitant to be around him at first

• No one really tries to move in since no one realises he’s dead, people just think he’s become more introverted

• If anyone were to accuse him of being a ghost, he’d likely look at them weirdly, but it would make him more suspicious about it

1p Japan:

• A ghost that knows he’s dead and has made peace with that fact

• Sudden cardiac arrest, no one was around to help or call an ambulance so he ended up passing away

• If there’s ever new owners, he introduces himself and explains the situation, assuring them he would never do anything to invade their privacy, he is just unable to leave the house

• Tends to stay away from children in the house, he’s worried that he’ll scare them or upset them

• He’s fine having rooms that he’s not allowed in and he usually knocks before entering a room in case they’re doing something

• He’d help them clean up and even make meals in return for the trouble he causes, he understands having a ghost roaming around must not be very pleasant

• Ghost hunters are another story, he stays as far away as possible at all times, he refuses to greet them or introduce himself

• Likely hides himself a closet until the ghost hunters leave him alone, he really doesn’t like them at all

I already did platonic 1p axis and allies and I don’t see them changing all to much towards a gentle sister country. They would mostly just be a lot softer with her and over all more protecting of her in their own ways.

The 2ps are a whole other deal tho-

-2p Canada-

-Mark would feel the need to be the best brother he can to you, since you probably wouldn’t have any good parental figures in your life (Oliver barely was there and Mark refuses to mention Louis ) so he would try to fill in that spot himself.

-Your personality would only strengthen his thinking of needing to protect you from the cruel world. He knows how cruel the world can be from his personal experiences so he would try to preserve your innocence for as long as he can.

-Kuma and you would become very close too. Though he would always watch you interacting with Kuma since he knows they can be a bit unpredictable sometimes.

-He would mostly take you on long hikes in the woods and teach you basic wilderness knowledge and how to survive on your own out in the forest.

-He’s not all that bad but he can get frustrated with you sometimes to the point of him yelling but he would just separate from you if that does happen.

-You wouldn’t feel like Luciano would be caring towards you since he just uses you to help him with his work.

-And your probably the only person (besides a few close friends) who he tells that, no, he is not in fact part of the mafia, people just look at him and say he’s part of the mafia, which he is not.

-His job is basically running the business side of Flavios fashion line.

-He just uses you with having you stay in his office as he works and has you bring him coffee every now and again.

-He’s never admit that he doesn’t want you to leave his side because he’s afraid of you getting hurt or lost by yourself.

-His hard outer shell makes it hard for him to open his feeling to others and you would be the only person besides Flavio who he would openly concede with, seeing it as a way for y’all to get closer.

He honestly just wants the best for you but he doesn’t know how to tell that to your face.

-when I say he’s trying to be a big brother to you, I mean it.

-but he just wasn’t made for that role, especially with how he and Mark act towards one another.

-he’ll try to make somewhat of a functional sibling relationship with you but he just doesn’t know how.

-he tries to clean up his act around you and try to properly be an older sibling with you but his efforts really just fail miserably.

-he just ends up pushing you more towards Mark and have him deal with you since he knows he wouldn’t be able to properly give you an older brother that you deserve.

-it’s just not his strong suit.
