Quick question: if I hypothetically wanted to organize a historical hetalia event, would I be encroaching on somebody else’s territory? that is, is there someone out there who’s already doing that or plans to do that (I don’t mean historical hetalia as part of an event but an event entirely dedicated to that)

even more importantly: do you guys even think it’s a good idea? I know historical hetalia is where the most can go wrong in this fandom but I also see that there are many passionate creators here

Cuddling headcanons for 2p!Prussia, 2p!Germany, 2p!England, and 2p!Romano, please?

2p!Prussia: Klaus Beilschmidt

Never does the boy just cuddle. He has to always have his mind preoccupied at all times. Having it wonder can often lead to him disassocating or overthinking.

Giving or recieving a massage? He will be putty in your hands. Movie marathon? You can criticise it after. Gaming? Please place your minecraft bed next to his!

But it will always end up with you as the baby spoon, even though he soooo loves that position. It's just that he has a habit of chicken winging every situation. His elbows will he out, moving about constantly. He's a fidgetter and gets self-conscious and worried that if he's being cuddled, you'll get annoyed with his fidgeting. If he's big spoon he barely disturbs you!

2p!Germany: Lutz Beilschmidt

it's always naptime.

You got a break between class? Get in his arms. Just eaten lunch? Arms now. Watching television? You better be snuggling!

This boy doesn't get cold, but also never gets warm. He's always neutral with his warmth and just loves how toasty you get in his arms. He wants to wrap his arms around you, use his bicep as a pillow, and use his free hand to grab your thigh or belly.

He wants as much surface area touching at all times. I hope you don’t mind clingy, because that's what he's like the moment you’re home, waiting for you to sit or lie down anywhere just so he can pull you in.

But it will always lead to one of two things: an actual satisfying nap, or sexy times.

2p!England: Oliver Kirkland

Surprisingly, cuddling while lying down isn't that common with this guy.

Oliver is touchy-feely, loves to express himself through acts of love, but cuddlingdoesn’t happen on the sofa, and very rarely in bed. He's not touch starved, unlike many personification.

He can give long intimate hugs, pulling you in tight and burying his face. It feels like being away from someone for so long and thinking you’d never see them again. Oddly heart reaching.

The occasions he does cuddle, it's when initiated by his partner. He's not exactly a prude, but couple-y act aren't generally initiated by him in private. He wants to do all the tropes for dates and such, but he doesn't feel the need for it at home. Which is odd. He doesn't have a high sex drive, so he's not normally even trying to push things in that direction like many Second Players do. Or even the First Players for that matter...

At bedtime, Oliver gets very warm. He's the type of person that needs the window open, and after sharing the bed with Allen or James when they came knocking from a nightmare when they were younger, he always dislikes warm sticky bodies on him. The boys would have wound themselves up over their nightmares and be extra sweaty for him... Poor guys.

So he likes to hug, and sometimes cuddle, but he never iniatates them. Very odd...

2p!South Italy: Flavio Vargas

Yes, why not? It gives him time to pamper you. You can sit in his lap and he’ll paint your nails for you. It also helps him to stop you from ruining them. Can't go and waste his efforts when he can easily grab your hand and restrict you.

Surprisingly touch starved.

He likes being ear you. He is connected at the hip. He can go days without you by his side, yes, he can do work and focus down on it, but the moment the doors are closed or you’re in the comfort of his or your house, he wants to be near you, breathing in your scent.

It probably has something to do with how shitty his Grandpa Rome treated him and how he's starved for affection and someone's - anyones - love.

He doesn’t want to sleep though. He has a very specific amount he sleeps and any more than that and he feel exhausted the next day. And when sleeping in bed, he likes to sleep just like a vampire with his eye mask on before waking up like Princess Anna from Frozen.

He just wants to chat with you, discuss things, making plans out loud even if he's just talking to himself. And sometimes, just sitting in your presence in silence with the television as background noise is the most comforting thing for him. It's reassuring.

It takes Flavio the longest time to get comfortable with someone, let alone date them, so this behaviour is reserved for just his partner. And remembering the fact it's all a very vigorous and high standerd process, Flvaio vey rarely ends up with someone in his arms.

"Hey, babe, I just got th--" His sentances is cut short when he sees you curled up on the sofa. Crying. You were trying to be quiet, shoulders shaking and deep intakes. But the red rims around your eyes gave you away. You should have gone into the bathroom where you could lock the door, or hide under your covers in the bedroom. But no. And now you were caught, and you didn't know how to feel about it. How to explain it.

You met the guy online. Would America understand? Would he get jealous? Think you're over reacting for crying over someone you had never met? You feel like an even bigger wuss over the whole thing, feeling another chocked sob leave you as he braces his hands on your shoulders, try to gather all of your attention.

"Hey, hey, s/o, it's okay." He sits down beside you, pulling your body into his. He shushes you, rubbing his hand up and down your arm soothingly. "Calm down, it's all right. You're fine." He didn't even know what was happening and he was so caring about it. So you told him. Explained. And he stayed beside you, rubbing your arm the entire time and placing his chin on your head.

"I've just been... So on and off about it. I feel so... I don't know." Your voice gets quiet, cracking awkwardly. You don't even try to clear your throat at this point.

"Were you looking through the messages before I came in?"

"Yes." You admit, guilty. You know it wouldn't make you feel better. But it felt therapeutic at the time. Scrolling up as far as you could, and going through it all. It was like you were reliving the conversation, clicking links and finding them as funny as they were the first time. But it was all short lived when you went back and looked. And when you reached the end of the conversation, you realised you'd never chat with him ever again. He wasn't some person that would ghost you for the rest of time, nor just really shitty at replies. He was gone. You'd never have a conversation with him again. And that's how you became this blubbering mess for the fifth time this week.

"It's... Gonna be hard for a while." He sounds really unsure. But then again, you don't a expect him to do well with consoling people. America knows he can be brash, a bit insensitive. You send him a soft look, curling up closer to him. It hurts, and having America beside you maybe didn't lessen the pain like you thought it would, but you could go through the motions by his side.

“It’s down here.” James was leading them by the hand, giving a reassuring squeeze. “You’ll be safe. They can’t get you here.” And he is right. Your parents would never find you all the way out here, past the private property and into the deep wilderness. You spent the last twenty minutes on foot, parking the truck on the side of the road. He felt the need to cover his tracks, even though he knew your parents wouldn't come looking for you. He glances down at you, his flannel jacket covering your arms - covering those marks. He grunts, now glaring ahead. He didn’t want you to see his expression directed towards yourself and panic. Didn't want you to panic and think you were just like them. He would kill them. He would rip those fuckers to shreds. 

He can’t wait. He will invite his brother and Kuma down for the ride, grab him stick, and just go to work on them. Oh, he can’t wait to throw it into action. He’d make your mother--no. No, no, no. That isn’t right. She’s no longer your mother. She doesn’t have the right. She doesn’t get to call herself that after what she did. No, if you needed a female figure in your life James himself would go look for a suitable mummy for you. 

He’d do anything for you. He didn’t want you to end up like his found-family. He wanted you to get the support before it was too late. That’s what he’d do. He’d build you up after your parents tore you down. Anytime you’d leave, he or Allen would be by your side. If you wanted to be pampered, he’d invite Oliver over. Yes. He knew what he would do. 

You continue to shuffle along beside him, quiet as always. But he could tell. He was very much the same as you when he was young. Traumatised into this shell of a lamb forced to follow orders and never get to grow up. He would buy you new bed cover, you’d get to browse through catalogues and pick out what you wanted for your birthday and Christmas. Damn, he’d even spoil you and let you pick out a magazine every time you went to the store, tearing out a poster and put it up in your new room in this house. No. This home. You were home now. This would forever be your home.

Didn't know if you wanted this with someone, or France on his own. You can take this as you will. I personally headcanons that nations get dilerious when dying, and they need to focus in order to heal themselves. If anyone wants to know more about it they can send in an ask for it. I took liberation with the ask as it implied dying for the first time but it seems you want him re-expericing death. Thanks for the ask!

France: "Dying is a lot more painful than I remember."

France didn't remember dying to be this painful. But when he dies, it does become hard to remember. He's on his back, a stunned release of breath. His body feels hot, and there's a ringing in his ears. He winces, but pain throbs harder over his face. Was he in a fire? Did something explode? He can't remember. Was he at home? No, he can smell the burning of his suit. He went out, he went to--

"Hey, are you okay?" someone's grabbing him, cradling his head. He groans, the movement hurting more. It just keeps getting worse. Like a piercing. The shock numbs the pain but then everything throbs. "say something, an ambulance is coming. It's okay you're going to be okay!" the person sounds hysterical now, fingers running through his hair out of his face. He can feel the hairs brush over his face, through some sticky residue. Was it sludge? Why was there sludge on his face?

"Hey, hey, hey! Stay awake! They're coming! Can you tell me your name? Do you remember your name?" for some reason there was barely any ringing in his ears, that being the first to heal. But everything still sounded warped. His body wasn't like the sudden chaos it was thrown into.

"Fra--" he trys to cough, there's something itching his throat. What's happening to his body? Then he feels it. His brain. His brain is throbbing more and more intensly, a rythmatic pulse. He knows what's going to happen. Sometimes, when the body is in shock, it shuts down. He finally coughs, and then he feels something on his face. Was it raining? He wants to laugh, because that's just his luck. "Dying is a lot more painful," a shuddered breath, "than I remember." what can he remeber though? He can feel his body, and it's telling him he's hurt. Severely. And then those soft fingers in his hair, and the intense smelling of burning. He still feels like he's stood in the middle of the desert, the sun beaming down on him.

"you're not dying, the ambulance will come and fix you up." the person continues to ramble. Does France know them? Who are they? Are they one of his, or someone else's? Do they not realise he'll be fine?

He smiles, it hurts but he holds it. He'll be fine. His body just needs to sleep. Sleep. That's what he needs. His eyes are already closed, his body is down, that's all he needs. He can hear the human speak. Can feel them holding him. Yes, he can sleep fine with someone watching over him.

France doesn't remember dying.

I know it's kind of silly, but that post about Germany and the long hair and how he'd just stare off into the abyss had me thinking about it all day and breaking out randomly smiling at work so thank you for that :D

I made an ungodly noise after reading that. I'm so happy it made you smile. But seriously, Germany tries so hard to clean his house and then you brush your long ass hair all over the place and it kills him inside. He knows you're looking after yourself by brushing, and things are garenteed to get dirty eventually, but right after he vacuumed? Honey, Schatz, why do you do this?????
