i keep forgetting this short exists (and i'm sure, being a late McKimson effort, there is a reason for that), but i just remembered this line delivery and i can’t stop listening to it

"If they had been hungry, she would’ve fed them. If they had needed money, she would’ve given them her last dime. Because that’s the kind of person Sharon was. But they didn’t come for that." — Doris Tate.
Remembering Sharon Tate, who was killed 54 years ago today.

Does anyone have any Homestuck OCs whose stories, SBURB related specifically, aren't taking place in the modern/current time?
Maybe someone has a bunch of fankids from the 1950s, whose version of SBURB is a board game like Jumanji.
Or maybe some fantrolls in the distant future after an apocalypse has rendered Alternia a dying planet, and all the SGRUB players are scavengers who somehow pieced together the SGRUB code and started the game

Kwame Brathwaite (1 January 1938 – 1 April 2023)
Throughout his six-decade career, Brathwaite harnessed the power of photography to recalibrate the public understanding of Blackness.
Brathwaite, who was largely inspired by the teachings and writings of Marcus Garvey and Carlos Cooks, held a 60-year photography career that popularized the “Black is Beautiful” movement in the 1960s and continued to empower African and African-American cultural expression and achievements throughout his lifetime.

"For he was and is, first and last, a rebel. He minces no words over it. He stands for what he believes. At Princeton much of the time he stood alone."

《When We Two Parted 當我們兩個分開》
我們秘密會面—— 我默默地哀傷 才讓你心忘卻 你的性靈誆騙 若我該遇見你 漫長歲月之後 我該怎麼問候?—— 和我無聲淚水
In secret we met— In silence I grieve, That thy heart could forget, Thy spirit deceive. If I should meet thee After long years, How should I greet thee?— With silence and tears.
─ Lord Byron (British, 1788-1824 拜倫勳爵 George Gordon)

Bernie Sanders could turn out to be the socialist Barry Goldwater.
In the long term, the left may win out, because people want healthcare and affordable housing. That or we could all be living in Amazon pods in 20 years.
