What time does school and work start since you eat dinner and go to bed really late?
School tends to start at 8:30 am. Primary school sometimes starts at 9 am. Even in college, the earliest class I ever had was 8:15 am and that was two days a week only.
Of course work depends but a regular job with regular work hours should be 8:30 to 10 am starting time.

quinn hughes style evolution
On my midnight scroll through Getty Images, I found myself so impressed by Quinn Hughes’ walk in pics, I thought I would do some style evolution! Because he has evolved! Stylistically! And he has great ties.
Tumblr media
October 15th, 2019: first one!! So presh. He loves this blue tie, but those shoes don’t remain for much longer. This was the day after his 20th birthday and the start of his rookie year.
Tumblr media
November 12th, 2019: New tie alert! I’m in awe of this guys ties back then. They were so fun! The shoes are a better match definitely, and notice how they’re actual dress shoes (“for now,” she said ominously.)
Tumblr media
December 19th, 2019: Hilarious gait, for unknown reasons. Also I just want to say I miss this wall, I don’t think it exists anymore, but it was great vibes. So is his tie. Reminds me of the one Luke wore to the awards show. The Canada Goose toque is a little silly but they were VERY big that year. I bet he got it at Holtz-Renfrew- the Vancouverites ate up all the Canada Goose
Tumblr media
July 29th, 2020: Their first playoffs! Very exciting. And so casual due to the bubble nature of it all. Backwards cap, chino shorts, high top Nikes, Petey has the dogs out, I bet they loved this.
Tumblr media
December 10th, 2021: his TIE. Bring back fun ties he never has fun ties anymore. Also this current season people were saying how Quinn bought a new coat- WRONG! His double-breasted coat has lived on for seasons! It looks great, he looks great, the pants are a bit ill-fitting, but he’s wearing a pink tie I refuse to complain.
Tumblr media
March 4th, 2021: This tie made tons of appearances. I hate it, but I like that he likes it and it actually goes really well with this suit. He looks amazing, would love to have him in my zoom class.
Tumblr media
February 19th, 2022: This is very good! Very red carpet-esque, and crispppp
Tumblr media
April 3rd, 2022: Not quite sure what’s going on with the suit tucking. But a lovely baby blue tie with matching socks?! Yes yes yes
Tumblr media
November 18th, 2022: GREAT tie. The socks do not match unfortunately. The shirt cuffs poking out is a really nice look tho.
Tumblr media
December 17th, 2022: The parking garage!! Welcome friend, you do wonders for the lighting and aura. The double-breasted coat looks SO good buttoned up. And I’m very thankful he ripped that toque off for the photo <3
Tumblr media
December 19th, 2022: Jeff he does not look like this what is wrong with you.
Tumblr media
October 11th, 2023: This is the first time he has not worn dress shoes for walk ins. He will not wear dress shoes for a very long time. The tie will disappear shortly after. There has been a shift in the force.
Tumblr media
November 20th, 2023: a grey suit! unfortunately this makes the phone in his pocket extremely visible and a little off-putting. why are his hands clenched
Tumblr media
December 9th, 2023: The tie!!! Nothing is really matching here. It’s very funny. But the plaid suit has potential.
Tumblr media
January 9th, 2024: WHY are you looking at me like that?? Is it because you were forced into dress shoes again?? You’re not wearing a tie isn’t that enough?
Tumblr media
April 23rd, 2024: Playoff form has returned! The shoes: dirty. The tie: in his dresser at home. The shirt: a nice light blue. The finger: suspiciously long. The eyes: haunted!
Tumblr media
May 20th, 2024: Game 7, Edmonton, you know the vibes. He wore this outfit every single game for that series and I looked forward to it every single day. Those airforces were the star of the season. But I miss my fun ties. But he has best accessory in the form of his Porsche keys!
Tumblr media
November 19th, 2024: The all black yesss!! He has this on his Insta and for good reason. The toque even looks good, but it would simply be top tier unforgivably hot if he had it off for this look. But he looks so good, I hope we see this more.
Tumblr media
March 18th, 2025: Bringing us to now. Holy moly. I mean you can just tell the difference from this to the past. His suits fit really amazingly, the colour coordinates so well, he has a matching tie and matched dress shoes (!!!). New haircut, waist on thinna, vibes unmatched, Captain Quinn has never looked better (and to do this when we’re in the trenches?? Thank you sir)

middle school
the morning was still young, and the sun had barely risen. the classroom remained dim, the fluorescent bulbs providing the only source of light while the first rays of sunlight had yet to seep in. the room was silent, occupied only by two students minding their own business-and a brunette boy sitting by the window, lost in thought.
"hey! kim leehan!"
a loud, enthusiastic voice called from the doorway, instantly breaking the quiet.
before leehan could even turn to see who it was, a familiar presence loomed over him. his friend was already there, grinning and scratching his head.
"stop it!" leehan chuckled, standing up to pull his friend in for a quick dap.
"it's the first day of your last year as a middle schooler. how does that feel, hyung?"
woonhak, ever the energetic one, nudged leehan's arm before plopping down in the seat beside him, a wide grin on his face.
leehan smirked, leaning back in his chair. "nothing out of the ordinary. school is still school," he said, voice hinting with indifference as he shifted slightly to face woonhak more comfortably.
woonhak let out an exaggerated sigh. "nothing to say about missing me? you'll leave again for high school next year." he rolled his eyes, sulking. "it's just like when i was in fifth grade, and you moved here for middle school."
leehan huffed out a small laugh at his friend's dramatic antics.
they had been best friends since their early years in elementary school. leehan, ten at the time, and woonhak, eight. being two years apart, but that never stood in the way of their friendship. if anything, their differences made them an even better match, with leehan's matured, and calm-extroverted appeal balancing out woonhak's childish and loud aura.
school didn't excite leehan much, not that it did for his friend either. but while kim why would i even need algebra in a performing arts university woonhak, treated school like a never-ending chore, leehan simply went through the flow, doing what was necessary without getting too caught up in it. outside of class, his world was split between two passions: music, and nature.
he spent hours in his room, practicing vocals and perfecting dance moves in front of his mirror, losing himself in the rhythm of the music. whether it was a slow ballad or an intense choreography, he found an escape in the way his body moved to the beat, in the way his voice carried emotion that words alone couldn't. performing gave him a sense of control, a rush of energy that school never did. but when he wasn't singing or dancing, he sought quiet comfort in his other hobbies, raising fish and tending to his plants.
his aquariums, filled with different species, were his personal oasis. he could watch them for hours, mesmerized by the way they glided through the water, unbothered by anything beyond their glass world. his room smelled of greenery, lined with potted plants he carefully nurtured. he liked the balance of it all. music filled him with energy, while his fish and plants gave him peace.
occasionally, he'd swing by woonhak's place to make music together, testing out harmonies or working on choreography late into the night. woonhak, ever the extrovert, always had something new planned, dragging leehan into whatever wild idea he had. not that leehan is the biggest introvert, nor minded, he loved performing just as much. he just didn't show it as openly as woonhak did.
despite his mixed feelings about school, his grades weren't bad. he was smart enough to keep up without trying too hard, unlike woonhak, who barely scraped by with last-minute cramming and a whole lot of luck.
"of course, i'll miss you." leehan sighed, shaking his head. "but the high school I'm going to is just near hongik. i'll visit you after classes. it's not like i'm moving overseas." he rolled his eyes before chuckling. "you're so dramatic."
woonhak let out a whine, slumping onto his desk. "well, can you blame me? this is my first year finally being in the same middle school as you, and it'll also be our last. i barely survived sixth grade without your help in elementary." he pressed his palms against his forehead, as if the weight of the world rested on his shoulders. "i have to lock in, hyung."
leehan chuckled "yeah, you should. you'll be on your own again next year." he leaned back, arms crossed. "let's just enjoy this one while it lasts, woon. save the worrying for later."
his friend peeked up from his hands, lips tugging into a small smile. "fine. but you better not forget about me when you're off being a cool high schooler."
leehan rolled his eyes again, but there was also brotherly warmth in his eyes. "as if i ever could. also, call me leehan-sunbaenim from now on," he said, completely straight-faced while pretending to look at his phone
woonhak just dramatically turned his head to leehan and let out an aish, throwing him an unimpressed look. leehan, however, burst into laughter, clearly enjoying his friend's reaction.
"that was cringe," woonhak muttered.
"how is calling your senior by a proper title cringe? hey, kim woonhak, where are your manners?" leehan teased in an exaggeratedly authoritative tone, crossing his arms like a disappointed teacher.
woonhak rolled his eyes but is chuckling. "you're still a year away from being a highschooler. i will not obey you."
leehan just rolled his eyes barely able to finish a sentence between chuckles.
they spent the rest of their free time chatting, catching up on summer, mostly woonhak complaining about how fast it ended and leehan roasting him for his questionable choices.
as time ticked on, leehan glanced at the clock and raised a brow. "woonhak, are you seriously still here? your class is in the other building."
his friend just waved off his concern like he was swatting away a fly. "oh, no, it's still early. it's not like the bell's gonna ring any sec-"
ring
the school bell blared through the hallways, as if it heard woonhak talking.
"you've got to be kidding me," he groaned, lazily scrambling to grab his bag.
leehan who's already gasping for air, tapped him on the back. "kim woonhak, good luck today," he teased.
woonhak shot him a glare as he rushed toward the door, waving over his shoulder. "catch you later, peace!"
the minute slipped away like a gust of wind, and before leehan knew it, their teacher was already standing at the front of the classroom.
"good morning, teacher," the students greeted in unison, rising briefly before settling back into their seats.
"good morning, everyone. settle down," the teacher instructed, adjusting his glasses as he placed a stack of papers on his desk. "now, before we begin, i'd like to introduce a new student who will be joining us for the school year."
then, the classroom stirred. students exchanged whispers, some craning their necks to get a better view of the doorway. the air buzzed with curiosity and the murmurs resembled a beehive.
with a subtle glance from the teacher, the new student, you, stepped in. you had a short hair that barely reached your neck, neatly parted to the side, wispy bangs, and pair of round glasses sat comfortably on your tall nose, framing your soft and slightly chubby cheeks. unlike most new students who fidgeted or hesitated, you walked in with an effortless calm.
"hello, everyone! my name is y/n. i'm 15 years old and just moved into the neighborhood down the street. i hope we can all be friends!" you bowed lightly with a voice that's bright and confident. you had a natural ease, as if introducing yourself to a room full of strangers was something you did every day.
a few students nodded approvingly, while others leaned in to whisper among themselves. you can see other students already smiling at you, while others just talked to each other.
meanwhile, the teacher scanned the room for a vacant seat. his eyes landed on leehan and the empty chair beside him. as if you're also following your teacher's vision, you see the quiet boy who seems lost in his own little world.
"you can sit there, next to that boy by the window," he said, gesturing toward leehan's row.
you nodded, and just as you're about to move, a student behind leehan raised a hand.
"sir, han taesan sits there. he's just absent today." and you're stopped to your track, standing there. though, you admit that it felt awkward, at least for yourself.
the teacher paused, nodding in acknowledgment, then began eyeing around the class again. after a brief scan, his gaze landed on a seat in the second row.
"alright, you can take that seat instead."
you nodded again, and made your way to your new spot, and within moments, you had already struck up a conversation with your seatmate, you always had this welcoming demeanor that contrasts the usual stiffness of first-day introductions. even as a kid, your parents would already describe you as a social charmer and a people person. extroverted, but balanced.
the first few periods blurred together in a haze of just few introductions for the start of the school year. the morning sun had crept higher, casting beams of light through the windows, and shining dust particles that swirled in the air. you sat comfortably listening to each hellos and my name is your classmates presented. even though the entire class you're new at already knew each other since the beginning of middle school, the new teachers are still yet to know them, and so do you.
when the bell finally rang for break, students wasted no time swarming out the door, dying to stretch their legs and escape the classroom, and you are no exception.
you had no trouble blending in. you'd already found a group to sit with, chatting easily as they made their way toward the school café.
and just as you're about to leave, your eyes caught sight of leehan, who unlike the rest of the class that had scattered in pairs or groups, remained at his desk. his left elbow rested against the desk supporting his chin, while his right hand moved lazily over a notebook, jotting something like it's straight out of an ancient manuscript with his illegible handwriting.
you admit. leehan's expression was unreadable. as a person who's good with people, scanning through people's thoughts or emotion by their body language is a piece of cake to you, but leehan? he's neither focused nor completely absent, as if his mind is hovered somewhere between a coherent thought or nothingness.
curious, and being the social butterfly ever, you adjusted your glasses and approached him.
"hello, i'm y/n. what's your name?" you said with a wave.
leehan didn't react immediately, and for a second, you thought he'll ignore you. instead, he finished the last stroke of his writing before slowly lifting his gaze. his eyes flickered towards you, scanning your face with little to no recognition, as if you're someone he sees daily.
"leehan. kim leehan," he replied flatly. his voice was low and unamused, giving the smallest head nod. his lips curved into an almost nonexistent smile, one that didn't quite reach his eyes.
the contrast between you and him was almost like seeing black and pastel colors from the point of view of a third person. you, with your bright, welcoming energy, stood opposite leehan, whose presence seemed more like muted, but not completely colorless either.
still, you were unfazed. but you'd be lying if you said you didn't feel a tinge of awkwardness, or maybe even concern.
not everyone you met responded positively to your friendly nature, and that was fine. but something about leehan felt strange. he didn't seem uncomfortable around you, nor did he try to avoid the conversation. yet, at the same time, there wasn't even a hint of enthusiasm in his words and actions. it was as if he existed in a space between acknowledgment and indifference.
"are you not going to grab a snack with a friend? you can sit with us!" you offered in a warm and inviting tone.
leehan barely hesitated before pressing his lips together. "no, i'll be out. thank you," he said in the same monotone, standing up, and nodding his head subtly as he slung his jacket over his shoulders.
without waiting for a response, he walked past you heading toward the door, most likely in search of woonhak.
you just tilted your head slightly looking back at the door watching him go. if you're bothered by his lack of interest, you didn't show it. instead, you just shrugged it off deciding that leehan was probably just the reserved, introverted type.
that thought lingered in your mind for a moment before you went off with a quiet sigh. whatever it was, you figured you'd understand him better with time. with that, you turned away and made your way toward the café, where your new friends were waiting.
𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟 𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟 𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝
"class dismissed."
and just like that, the first day of classes in your new school comes to an end. the ring of the bell echoes through the hallways, and the classroom instantly bursts into motion. students scrambling to shove books into their bags, some reapplying makeup, others fixing their hair, and chatting away about everything and nothing.
you stand from your seat, adjusting the strap of your bag as you turn to face minji, your newly made friend. "where are you headed after class?" you ask, casually stuffing your things inside your bag.
minji, in the middle of combing her sleek black hair, tilts her head in thought. "hmm, i don't know. ask moka. i'll just tag along wherever you guys go."
moka, seated beside you, stops fussing with her hair long enough to glance up. "it's only 4:40 pm. how about karaoke?" she suggests.
you nod in agreement, and minji hums in approval. "okay, well then, hurry your butts up," moka adds, snapping her compact mirror shut.
you lean toward the small mirror in her hand giving yourself a quick once-over. with just a simple tuck of your hair behind your ears, a few pats to settle your bangs into place, and a slight nudge to adjust your thick-framed glasses, you're good to go.
"alright, done. let's go?" moka asks, slinging her bag over her shoulder.
you and minji nod in sync, stepping out into the busy hallway. but just as you're about to walk away, your gaze drifts back into the classroom, landing on the seat across the room.
leehan is still there, quietly packing up. alone.
there's something about him that makes you hesitate. it's not pity, not exactly. you've always had this habit of noticing people who seem isolated, of wanting to make them feel included. but over time, you hated it. you've realized that not everyone who sits alone is lonely. and not everyone who is quiet is sad.
still, the thought didn't stop you as you take a step forward, considering approaching him-
"kim leehan, work your slowass up, we got a gig to waaaaatch!"
a voice booms through the doorway like a bomb being dropped, so loud it cuts through the noise of the corridor crowd. you nearly jump at the volume. turning your head, you see a boy bolting into the classroom, all energy and mischief.
leehan looks up at the source of the noise. he saw you standing on the doorframe, and woonhak approaching him. but his whole attention seemed to be only towards his friend. and that's when you see it— his entire demeanor shifts. his lips curve into a genuine smile, his eyes scrunching up with amusement as he watches woonhak walk towards his desk.
the sight catches you off guard.
that smile, it's real, and bright, almost like there's a light shining behind him.
you realize then that leehan isn't some tragic, brooding loner. he's not an outcast, not sad, not lost. he has a friend. a good one, by the looks of it.
a quiet chuckle escapes you as you shake your head, cringing at your own assumptions.
i misinterpreted people again, you think, making a mental note to quit assuming stories to strangers before actually knowing them.
with that, you turn back to moka and minji, linking arms with them as the three of you make your way down the hallway.
as leehan and woonhak followed towards the door and to the hallway, the latter nudged him with a mischievous grin. "so, how was your day?"
leehan exhaled through his nose. "it was fine. there's a new student."
"ooooh." woonhak's eyes lit up. "is it a girl?"
leehan gave him a look and chuckled. "why is your first instinct always to ask if it's a girl?"
"because that's the important part, duh," woonhak shot back. "so? spill."
leehan sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "yeah, it's a girl. she's... nice, but weird."
woonhak practically bounced in excitement. "weird how? like, quirky weird or talks-to-ghosts weird?"
leehan squinted in thought. "more like... i'm the weird one. i kind of left her hanging when she tried to talk to me. i felt bad but, i just can't."
"oh? that's not a classic kim leehan behavior. you're pretty friendly."
"and my hands went cold. it was like i was getting an illness." he flexed his fingers in mild concern.
woonhak stopped in his tracks. "hyung," he pointed an accusing finger. "are you sure you don't like her?"
leehan let out a dry laugh. "nonsense, that's ridiculous. i just don't wanna talk to her kinda."
"right, right," woonhak smirked, but his mischievous grin stayed.
"enough of that," leehan grumbled, picking up his pace. "let's just go."
woonhak, of course, didn't let it go. he kept teasing, making dramatic heart gestures and batting his eyelashes.
"shut up before i leave you behind."
"say it with feeling, hyung. your voice is shaking~"
leehan rolled his eyes but couldn't hide the amused grin tugging at his lips. woonhak was insufferable, but at least he made the day less dull.

now walking down the busy streets of hongdae, just a few minutes from your school, the scent of street food and the buzz of students unwinding after classes fill the air. the neon lights flicker even though the sun hasn't fully set yet, giving the streets that signature youthful energy.
as you walk, you turn to moka, who's sandwiched between you and minji, and ask, "moka, is leehan really that introverted?"
both of your friends glance at you at the same time, puzzled.
"kim leehan? the leehan from our class?" moka asks, raising an eyebrow.
you nod. "yeah, he barely spoke. he just seemed cold."
moka and minji exchange a knowing look before minji giggles. "cold? leehan? are we talking about the same guy? he's pretty social, y'know."
moka nods in agreement. "yeah, i mean, he's not the most talkative person ever, but he interacts well. he's fairly outgoing. everyone likes and knows him."
"not to mention he's good-looking and talented too," minji adds with a cheeky grin.
moka gasps dramatically, shoving minji's shoulder. "oh? not as handsome as taesan though, right?" she said with a teasing smirk on her face.
minji's ears turn bright red, and she immediately hissed in annoyance "ah, this is about leehan! can you stop?"
the two of them burst into laughter, teasing each other while you zone out, lost in thought.
good-looking? you never really thought about it. leehan just seemed strange. but what's even stranger is hearing that he's supposedly social.
"but he barely interacted with anyone," you point out. "aside from his friend earlier."
"oh yeah, that loud guy. what was his name again?" moka snaps her fingers, trying to recall.
"woonhak, seventh grader." minji supplies. "they're close, huh?"
"how do you even know that? well, anyways" moka shrugs. "i noticed that too. maybe leehan just wasn't in the mood today. it happens. you know, some days you just wanna shut the world out and listen to sad music while staring dramatically out the window."
you scoff. "that's... oddly specific."
minji laughs. "she's speaking from experience."
"ya!" moka glares playfully. "i'm just saying, don't take it personally. give him time. he's nice."
their words settle in your mind, giving you a bit more confidence. they knew leehan longer than you do. maybe he didn't dislike you for no reason. maybe it really was just a bad day.
as you reach the karaoke bar, the bright led lights reflect off your glasses, and moka swings open the door. the entire evening had been fun with your new friends. although, you miss your old friends back in busan, you're still keeping in touch with them all while establishing new relationships.

as soon as you got back to your brother's apartment where you're living. the familiar aroma of spicy ramyeon fills the air, instantly making your stomach grumble. your brother, wooyoung, is at the stove, stirring the noodles in the bubbling pot.
"you're finally home," he says, not even turning around. "it's already 7 pm. how was the first day?"
tossing your bag onto the sofa across the room, you plop down onto a dining chair and immediately reach for the cookie jar, popping one into your mouth. "it was great me and my friends went to karaoke after classes, so i got home a bit late."
wooyoung lets out an amused "ohh," lifting the pot to pour the steaming noodles into a large bowl at the center of the table. "karaoke, huh? and you didn't bother to tell me you'd be late?"
you roll your eyes, still munching. "i messaged you. you didn't answer."
wooyoung pauses, then shrugs. "oh, yeah. i was at the studio all day. just got home like, thirty minutes before you." he grabs his phone from the counter, flips it over, and sees the unread notification. "ah, whoops. my bad. haven't checked my phone."
"figured," you say, watching as he sets the table, placing down the kimchi and chopsticks before settling into the chair across from you.
then, suddenly, his face shifts into amusement. "wait, friends?"
you sigh, already regretting bringing it up. "mhm, friends from my new school," you say, trying to sound as casual as possible.
wooyoung leans forward, resting his chin on his hand like he's about to hear the most exciting gossip of his life. "and here i thought you'd spend the first month brooding in the corner."
you groan. "why do you act like i'm some kind of hermit? i do talk to people, you know."
"mhm, am i surprised, though? you've always been good at making friends. mom used to brag about how easygoing you are," wooyoung says, setting his bowl of ramyeon in front of you.
you smirk at the mention of your mom. "you're louder than me. why would she even brag about that?"
"mhm, and not just louder. i'm also cooler," he says, smoldering.
you rolled your eyes, and scoffed "right. 'cooler.'"
"glad we agree." he grins, then leans forward slightly, sneering "so... any special friends?"
you swerved a chopstick at him. "stop."
he laughs, dodging it. you sigh, knowing full well he won't let it go. "alright, alright," he says, finally getting serious. "so, what's the deal? someone already giving you a hard time?"
you hesitate. if you tell him, he's not going to leave you alone for the next thirty minutes straight. but the thought is already out in the open, and now he's just waiting for a word, watching you expectantly.
you twirl your noodles around your chopsticks, avoiding eye contact. "not really. it's just, there's this guy in my class. i tried talking to him today, and he was just, i don't know. cold? kinda distant."
wooyoung pauses mid-bite, then slowly sets his chopsticks down, his grin creeping back. "oh, he likes you."
you nearly choke on your food hearing that. "that's stupid."
"classic," he says, shaking his head. "a guy being cold to you? that's just a poorly disguised crush."
you scrunched your nose and cringed, squinting at him. "that's the worst logic i've ever heard. is that how you're supposed to act around the person you like? sounds pretty dumb to me."
wooyoung waggles his finger. "ah, you still have much to learn. sometimes, guys get all awkward when they like someone. you know, trying to play it cool and mysterious."
you make a face, just proceeding to slurp on the ramen. "right, and that's why you're single."
wooyoung gasps dramatically, clutching his pearls. "wow, that hurts."
you roll your eyes, and he finally drops the teasing, getting serious. "but honestly, maybe he's just not in the mood. or maybe he's not a super social guy. it's literally the first day. give it at least a week. or a month, even."
you think back to what moka and minji said, and now your brother too. maybe you really were just overthinking it.
"yeah... you're probably right," you admit, taking another bite.
"of course i am," he says, smug. "older sibling wisdom."
"you literally just told me some fake dating psychology."
"hey, it works for some people," he says, laughing.
you shake your head, but you're smiling now, too.
as you finish up dinner, the conversation drifts to other things— his work at the studio, how living in seoul is going so far, and what ridiculous thing he plans to waste money on next. (apparently, it's a limited-edition plushie he claims is an investment.)
you're now in your bed, freshly showered, hair still slightly damp against your pillow. staring at the ceiling, you replay the day in your head- you having fun with your new friends, the laughter at karaoke, and the small, nagging thought of leehan's. you just don't know why you wanted to be friends with him so bad. the day had felt both so long and short. sighing, you turn onto your side, reaching for the lamp beside you, and clicking it off.
Tumblr media
the next few weeks and months follow the same routine. you've settled into your new school, growing comfortable with your routine. minji and moka have become your closest friends, the kind you can joke around with, text random topics to in ungodly hours, and count on to save you a seat during lunch. you've even managed to branch out a bit, making casual friends in other classes, effortlessly slipping into conversations and forming easy connections.
but the case with leehan? still the same. frozen.
you're still stuck in the same frustrating loop of forced interactions, half-hearted conversations, and long silences. you've been paired up with him for projects multiple times, and each time, it's a painfully dull experience. he never speaks unless spoken to, and even then, his responses are as dry as toast-short, flat, and uninteresting. if he ever does talk, it's out of necessity, like asking how to blend a color for an art project (since, unlike you, he's not exactly gifted in that league). and that's it. no banter, no effort to make things less awkward. it's not like you expect him to be a chatterbox, but come on, a little effort wouldn't kill him.
"hey, what do you think about adding some shadows here?" you ask during one of your art projects, pointing at a part of the sketch.
he shrugs. "looks fine."
you stare at him, waiting for more. anything more. but he just keeps painting, completely unbothered.
"okay, well... do you think we should use blue or purple for the background?"
"blue," he says simply, not even looking up.
he isn't rude, but not nice either. you sigh, dragging your brush across the palette. working with leehan is like texting someone who only replies with k. It's frustrating, and more than that, awkward.
it's not just during projects, either. whenever it's just the two of you left in the classroom, the silence is so heavy it feels like an actual thing, pressing against you, urging you to break it. and when you do, when you attempt small talk, ask about his hobbies, his music taste, just anything to spark a conversation, you always get the same dead responses.
"you know, i have a brother, and we liked watching basketball together. do you like any sports?"
"no."
"mhm, i see. well, do you have any pets? i have a pet goldfish in our house."
"yes."
"really? what is it?"
"the same. fish."
"what type of fish?"
"corydoras,"
at least he's honest, you cope.
that's how every conversation goes. it's like he's allergic to words longer than three syllables. and at first, you think, okay, maybe he's just like this with everyone. maybe he's one of those people who just doesn't like talking.
but you see stuffs, like how he laughs when he's with other people. how he's actually talking, laughing, contributing more than just a robotic "okay." he's not this indifferent with them. just with you.
and that's when it really starts to sink in.
it's not that leehan is quiet, or shy, or socially awkward.
he just does NOT want to talk to you.
that realization hits harder than you'd like to admit. you try to brush it off, tell yourself that not everyone has to like you, that it's fine, really. but the more you see him laughing with others, joking around, talking normally, the harder it becomes to ignore.
it's not that he struggles to make friends. he's just choosing not to be friends with you. and that affected you. not because it's leehan. it's because you had thing about being left hanging.
still, over time, you learn to accept it. some people just don't click, and leehan is clearly one of them. it's not like you need his approval. you have minji, moka, and a handful of other friends.
so you stop trying. stop initiating conversations. stop going out of your way to talk to him. and for a while, that worked.
then, something shifts
it's subtle at first, so subtle that you don't even notice it. but then minji nudges you during lunch, her voice dropping to a whisper
"hey," she says, leaning in. "i think leehan's staring at you."
you snort, not even bothering to look up. "yeah, right."
"no, really. he's been looking over here for, like, a solid minute."
you roll your eyes, but curiosity gets the better of you. when you glance up, leehan's gaze flicks away so fast it's almost unnoticeable.
you think about it for a second but ultimately shrug it off. it's not like it changes anything. he still doesn't talk to you. ye still keeps his distance. and you certainly aren't going to waste energy trying to break through his icy exterior again.
but you start to notice things, like how he stiffens whenever you walk past, his posture going unnaturally rigid. how he deliberately avoids eye contact, like meeting seeing your eyes might physically kill him. how, no matter what, he always seems aware of where you are in the room, never too close, but never completely out of reach.
it's weird. and, honestly, you're starting to think that maybe he just really hates you that much.
minji and moka notice it too.
"i swear, leehan is straight-up ignoring you," moka mutters one afternoon, barely paying attention to the notes she's supposed to be copying. "it's like you don't even exist to him."
you sigh, tapping your pen against your notebook. "whatever. it's not like it matters. as long as he cooperates when we have to work together, i couldn't care less."
minji hums thoughtfully. "or maybe... he likes you?"
you blink. "what?"
minji nods, looking more convinced by the second. "think about it, he's only like this with you. everyone else gets normal responses, but with you, it's like he forgets that he's a human being."
you stare at her, then at moka, waiting for her to back you up. but instead, she tilts her head, considering.
"actually... i don't think so." she suddenly snaps her fingers. "ah! remember park minju? that pretty girl from the next class?"
you frown. "what about her?"
"well, leehan had the biggest crush on her back in eighth grade. and when I say biggest, i mean biggest. he was, like, ridiculously obvious about it. everyone knew."
minji's eyes widen. "oh my god, you're right. he was so dramatic about it."
the two of them burst into laughter while you sit there, entirely unimpressed.
"wow," you deadpan. "so, basically, leehan just really, really doesn't like me."
moka smirks. "yeah, to the point where it's almost impressive. like, what did you do to him in a past life? he avoids you like a virus."
minji swats her playfully, but you just shake your head. "but yeah, if he likes you he'll be obvious about it."
confirmed. leehan hates your guts, for god knows what reason.
and with that, you decide you're done thinking about him. if he wants to pretend you don't exist, then fine.
Tumblr media
the next few months, you ignored leehan completely. and, of course, he noticed.
at first, he didn't seem to mind, or at least, he pretended not to. but it didn't take long for moka and minji to catch on. from across the room, they could see it, the way leehan would glance at you when he thought no one was looking, his expression unreadable.
and then there were the times when you two ended up in the same group for another never-ending project. you would talk to everyone except him. it wasn't that you were mean about it, you were perfectly civil, but you just didn't acknowledge his presence. no eye contact. no small talk. nothing.
but leehan wasn't stupid. he could tell the difference between indifference and avoidance.
at some point, it must've started bothering him too, because moka and minji began whispering to each other every time they caught him hesitating, fidgeting like he was debating whether or not to approach you.
and, he almost did.
it was homeroom, and the teacher hadn't shown up. the class was in full chaos-desks rearranged, chairs turned backwards, students perched on tables, chatting and laughing. you sat comfortably in your usual spot with moka, sipping on jelly, while minji sat comfortably on moka's desk, the three of you bantering about something completely ridiculous.
you felt a presence behind you.
moka stopped mid-sentence, her eyes flickering up. minji did the same. then, she discreetly nudged your knee under the desk, her silent way of saying look behind you.
you turned your head slightly, just enough to catch a glimpse of leehan standing there.
your posture straightened instinctively, but you kept your expression neutral as you turned fully to face him.
his hands fidgeted at his sides, his lips parted slightly like he was rehearsing his words in his head. swallowing hard before speaking
"y/n, i just wanted to say tha-"
"HELLO, Y/N!"
a voice suddenly interrupted, cutting straight through the moment.
you blinked, turning your attention to the source, ham jinsik.
jinsik was, by all definitions, the classic popular guy. tall for his age, charming, effortlessly good-looking. he was the type of guy who never seemed to take anything too seriously, which was probably why he was grinning at you like he'd just won the lottery.
as leehan shifted, glancing over his shoulder, your eyes flicked from jinsik back to him, just in time to catch the way his expression dropped, just for a split second before he quickly looked away. retreating before he could even finish his sentence.
but before you could say anything, jinsik was already speaking.
"jinsik, hi! what's up?" you smiled, brushing aside the awkwardness of the moment.
behind you, moka and minji were losing their minds. they weren't even trying to be subtle, nudging each other aggressively while failing to hold back their giggles.
jinsik flashed you a sheepish grin. "i was wondering if you're free later? i mean..." he rubbed the back of his neck. "we're in the same group, right? and, uh, i could really use some help with the topic we're working on."
moka and minji's snickering worsened "sure, help".
you shot them a quick glare, swatting their knees in warning before nodding at the boy in front of you "of course, i'm down."
jinsik visibly relaxed, a small little yes slipping past his lips before he cleared his throat and tried to play it cool. "great! we can walk together after class. don't worry, i won't keep you out too late."
you laughed lightly. "alright."
as jinsik walked back to his group, who immediately started hyping him up, you finally turned back toward your own friends, rolling your eyes at moka and minji's exaggerated expressions.
but then you remembered.
leehan
you glanced back at him, half-expecting him to be looking in your direction, but he wasn't. he was sitting at his desk, chatting with the student in front of him like nothing had happened.
you exhaled, excused yourself, and walked toward his desk. "hey." you stopped beside him. "sorry about earlier. you were saying?"
leehan turned to you, blankly
whatever light that had been on his face while talking to his classmate disappeared, replaced by something colder. his lips pressed into a thin line, his shoulders tensing slightly.
"i forgot," he said flatly.
you blinked. "oh, okay then."
you didn't want to waste energy overthinking it, so you just hummed, nodded, and walked back to your seat.
what you didn't see, however, was leehan's gaze following you. nor did you notice the way his eyes flickered toward jinsik, his jaw tightening slightly, fingers clenching into a fist on his desk.
just like that, the days blurred together, and everything fell back into the usual routine.
Tumblr media
middle school came to an end faster than you expected.
one moment, you were stressing over exams, avoiding unnecessary drama, and pretending not to notice the way leehan had stopped trying to talk to you. and the next? you were standing in a packed auditorium, surrounded by classmates who were buzzing with excitement and nerves.
the school hall was chaotic, students darting between friends, taking photos, and exchanging yearbooks filled with scribbled messages they'd probably cringe at in a few years. the air smelled like fresh paper, perfume, and faint traces of cafeteria food.
you were standing with moka and minji near the entrance, your neat uniform geeling slightly too tight but strangely comforting.
"so... where are you guys going for high school?" minji suddenly asked, fiddling with the hem of her blazer that she only wore properly today.
"seoul high school," you answered, adjusting your ribbon. "it's nearer to my place."
moka gasped dramatically, clutching your arm. "no way! that's where i'm going too!"
minji's eyes widened before she broke into a grin. "me too! do you think we'll end up in the same classes again?"
"i don't know,"you chuckled, feeling lighter than you had in months. "but at least we'll be at the same school. that's what matters."
moka sighed in relief. "good. i don't think i can handle high school alone."
"you? alone?" minji snorted. "you'd make friends in five minutes."
"that's not the point! you guys are my friends."
your heart warmed at that. as much as you teased each other, you knew moka meant it. and truthfully, so did you.
before you could respond, the speakers crackled to on, signaling the start of the ceremony. the noise in the hall gradually died down as students shuffled toward their assigned seats.
you exhaled, turning back to moka and minji with a smile. "i'll catch you guys around there."
and as you took your seat, listening to the opening speech, everything suddenly felt light. you glanced around the room, taking it all in.
you caught glimpses of familiar faces, some you'd just known this year, and some you barely spoke to but still felt a sense of connection with.
and then there was leehan.
he was a few rows ahead, sitting with his group of friends. he laughed at something one of them said, his usual easygoing smile in place. you preferred him like that, a human.
he didn't look in your direction.
you weren't sure if that was a good thing or not. but you pushed the thought aside. today wasn't about old tensions or unanswered what-ifs. it was about new beginnings. and, you'll leave hongik to a new school, a fresh start, and the comfort of knowing moka and minji would be there with you without leehan's heavy and contagious aura creeping around the corner.
because really, what were the odds that he would end up at the same high school as you?
at least, that's what you thought when 10th grade began.
Tumblr media
seoul high school
you arrived at your new classroom earlier than most students, enjoying the quiet hum of the morning. the sun and streamed through the windows, reflecting soft lights against the wooden desks. the wind gusted from the open pane and slightly blew your now slightly longer hair that reached your shoulder. everything felt light and promising. as usual, you struck up conversations with a few early classmates, effortlessly easing into small talk. it was a good day. nothing could ruin it.
or so you thought.
because then, out of the corner of your eye, you caught a glimpse of someone standing at the doorway. and with how the room temperature suddenly dropped, you already knew.
kim leehan.
no way.
yes, kim leehan.
his hair was a lighter shade of brown now, and he'd grown taller, noticeably so. a lot can change in a year, but somehow, he hadn't. you found yourself staring at him, completely unaware that your gaze was practically burning a hole through his forehead already.
and yet, leehan barely reacted.
he met your eyes in a blink, nodding slightly before walking past you. bot a single change in expression. no surprise. no recognition beyond what seemed like just common courtesy.
and, of course, he settled into a seat at the very back of the classroom. a mile away from you. predictable.
your shoulders tensed as you quickly looked away, patting your hair into place as if that would somehow steady your thoughts.
"what the hell is he doing here?" you hissed under your breath.
a million possibilities ran through your mind. had he always planned to come to seoul high? did he know you'd be here? or was this some dumb fate?
it didn't matter.
you hesitated for a second. maybe this time would be different? maybe he'd actually talk to you? but the way he acted, or rather, his complete lack of one was all too familiar. it's still the same stern leehan from middle school, at least when it came to you.
you swallowed back whatever words had formed in your throat, pushing away the disappointment, and turned back to your desk.
you don't know what it is with you desperately wanting to figure leehan out, maybe because you're still left hanging without knowing why.
the classroom had started filling up, students pouring in with laughter and chatter, and you forced yourself to join in.
the girl sitting next to you introduced herself, and you made an effort to be friendly, though it didn't come as naturally as it did with moka and minji. speaking of them, they were five classrooms away down the hall, which meant you'd be sitting through long, exhausting classes alone, at least for now.
𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟  𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟 𓆝 𓆟 𓆞
"WHAT?!"
moka's shriek echoed through the cafeteria, loud enough to make half the students turn in your direction.
panicked, you lunged forward, clamping a hand over her mouth. "shut up," you hissed, glancing around as a few nosy students tried to eavesdrop.
moka peeled your hand off, her eyes still wide with pure disbelief. she leaned in, this time whispering harshly. "what?!"
you sighed, rubbing your temple. "yeah, he's in my class."
moka blinked at you, then at the ceiling, as if trying to process some kind of divine punishment. "no freaking way. out of all the high schools in seoul, and out of all the students... kim leehan?!" she shook her head. "that's terrifying."
"i know." you exhaled dramatically, slumping onto the table. "i didn't expect him to be here either."
moka crossed her arms. "and you're telling me we got separated, but you got stuck with him? this is the worst trade deal in history."
before you could respond, minji arrived, setting her tray of food down. "what are you guys talking about?"
moka wasted no time. "leehan is in y/n's class."
minji blinked. then-
"WHAT?!"
you and moka immediately reached over, swatting at her arms. "hey, shut up!" you whispered aggressively.
minji lowered her voice, but her eyes were just as wide. "wait, deadass? is this real?"
you sighed and nodded.
she hummed in thought. "ah, that explains it. i thought i saw a familiar back earlier, but i figured i was just hallucinating." she stabbed her food with a fork. "turns out, my nightmares are real."
moka shook her head in disbelief. "i mean, him being in the same high school? fine. but in the same class as y/n? that's like a match made in hell."
"a horror movie in the making," minji added.
"that time severus snape reincarnated as my classmate." moka laughed, as minji was enjoying it too. you rolled your eyes, reaching over to steal a chip from your friend's tray. "ha ha funny. let's not talk about it." but you admit, that was actually funny.
"we are talking about it," minji said, smacking your hand away from her chips. "how is he?"
you made a face. "what do you mean, how is he? he's the same leehan. acts like i carry the plague."
minji let out a long, unimpressed sigh. "figures."
"ugh, boooring." moka leaned back in her chair.
they both waved off the topic like it was a failed drama plot twist, swiftly moving on to minji's latest tragic news: taesan transferring to another school. minji whined about it for ten minutes straight while moka wordlessly devoured half her tray of food.
for a moment, you let yourself relax. laughing at their gossips, listening to minji's endless whining, watching moka inhale her meal like it was her last. everything felt normal.
then the bell rang, and just like that, it was back to reality.
𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟 𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟 𓆝 𓆟 𓆞
the days blurred into a familiar cycle: class, break time, dismissal, repeat. you sat through lectures, quietly counting the minutes until you could meet up with minji and moka.
and leehan still existed like some kind of background npc with an unskippable quest. he sat at the farthest corner of the room, never spoke to you, never looked at you, never acknowledged you unless absolutely necessary. his coldness was almost unreal at this point. good ol' days
it was still bothering you at first. the way he moved through the world like you were invisible. the way he nodded politely to everyone else but barely glanced in your direction.
then, you just stopped caring, like, for real this time.
you weren't enemies. you weren't friends. just civil. yet, you made little to no efforts to ask leehan what's wrong. maybe that was your mistake.
somewhere along the way, the irritation faded into indifference. the tension between you two solidified into an invisible wall neither of you had any intention of breaking.
this went on until the end of 12th grade.

Exercising in Accordance to the Moon Signs & Houses

Ok so before we get started here I do want to note that this post covers working out with the moon signs and phases. I in particular have a Cancer Mars- Mars the planet of action and movement in accordance with Cancer which is ruled by the moon. That being said- there are individuals whom may find this helpful and there are others who may not. As a Cancer Mars which is a Mars sign in detriment- I have to find certain ways to motivate myself and get in shape that may not ring true for some people. This happens to Mars in 4th, Libra Mars and Mars in 7th as well. I think that a lot of these particular placements may think “Oh well, I will never be in the best shape of my life because my mars is in detriment” -This simply isn’t true. It just means we have to play to our strengths and weaknesses when building up a routine, motivating ourselves, etc. For Libra Mars or Mars in 7th- they may need to workout with their partner, in classes or have a gym buddy. Regardless whatever your Mars sign is- try giving it a shot. In particular I have a Cancer Mars so this works for me 100%!
Moon Signs:
In Astrology, each zodiac sign rules over different body parts. That being said, which ever sign/house the moon is in can be an indicator of which body part you can work out that day.
Aries- Cardio, High Interval Training, Kickboxing
Taurus- Shoulders, Neck/Throat stretches
Gemini- Arms
Cancer- Chest
Leo- Back
Virgo- Abs
Libra- Glutes
Scorpio- Hips, Pilates
Sagittarius- Thighs
Capricorn- Climbing, Stairs, Knee Mobility
Aquarius- Calves
Pisces- Yoga, Swimming, Feet Stretches and Flexibility
Houses:
1st House- Cardio, High Intensity Training, Kickboxing
2nd House- Shoulders, Neck/Throat Stretches
3rd House- Arms
4th House- Chest
5th House- Back
6th House- Abs
7th House- Glutes
8th House- Hips, Pilates
9th House- Thighs
10th House- Climbing, Stairs, Knee Mobility
11th House- Calves
12th House- Yoga, Swimming, Feet Stretching and Flexibility
So say the moon is in the Sign of Taurus- in my sixth house, because the moon stays in that sign for roughly 2 & 1/2 days, I’ll workout my Shoulders the First Day and the next day my Abs. Than by the 3rd day- if you’re consistently working out at the same time- the moon should have moved to Gemini. Because when the moon transitions to a new sign first before it moves into a new house (according to Placidus-not whole sign), I work out the moon sign body first, than the house body part second. You want to make sure you’re not just doing the same body part over and over again, so you don’t stress out and over work your body.
Anyways- I hope this was helpful, especially for the Cancer Mars/Mars in 4th house people. I hope this information serves y’all well and helps out with staying motivated and organized! I know it’s a very untraditional way to work out- but as a Cancer Mars I’ve tried it all and this is the only thing that works for me!
Thanks so much y’all! Have a good one :)

neurosurgeon!hongjoong × reader
buy me coffee ?
where love and peace is held, i never expected for this to happen. i planned and i planned, i expected, and i hoped, but it was never you. you held what i wanted hostage to make room for you, the thing that i needed but has no means of acceptance. deny me, live your best life.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hongjoong is not one to be surprised easily. Well, by events or situations. He's a scaredy cat who had fallen victim to his son's pranks at least 20 times. In the past month.
But the sight of Kijoong's teacher, Mr Kang, lighting up as you produced a bag of sandwiches from your bag and handed it over to him almost made him choke on his own spit. Honestly, he didn't know why he was so surprised as he had seen (peeked) into your (private) conversation with Mr Kang the other day. Maybe he had been in denial (for some darn reason) about the exact identity of the Yeosang you talked with, thinking that it could be someone else with a similar name. That's possible, right? But seeing the way you adjusted the sleeve of his rolled-up shirt, Hongjoong was hesitant.
When you took Kijoong inside to settle in his cubby and spend some time before the classes started, Hongjoong found himself walking towards the guy he was eyeing.
"Ah, good morning! Mr Kim, right? Kim Kijoong's dad?" Yeosang asked politely with a warm smile. Even Hongjoong had to admit that his heart fluttered slightly so his "baseless" annoyance curiosity has decreased slightly. "Y-yes," clearing his throat, Hongjoong slipped his hands into his pants pockets, "How are you? How's your dad? I heard he was at the hospital?" "Yeah, yeah, he's fine! We went to the other KQ branch hospital so he was taken care of well. His recovery was even better when (y/n) sent him soup," he chuckled.
At the mention of the teacher's dad knowing you, Hongjoong couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at that. "Oh, I didn't realize that you two were so close," he nodded casually. Yeosang shrugged, "I guess in a sense we are, but (y/n) just cares about people and she takes it upon herself to take care of those who know her from her roots. Another hint, you two had known each other for a long while. "(y/n) didn't mention that she knew you to me and she often tells me about the people she knows from her youth." Hongjoong cringed slightly, realizing how easy it could be for Yeosang to twist his words and make it seem like he was jealous. Which he kinda was but it's not like it's obvious. Thankfully, if he did realize, Yeosang didn't let it show. "That could be because I haven't seen her in a long while and it didn't even occurred to us that we knew each other until the second day I came back," well that made Hongjoong more curious and Yeosang could sense it based on the way Hongjoong nodded along and putting all of his focus on him which made him rather nervous. So this time, it was Yeosang who cleared his throat and mended his posture, "S-see, (y/n) and I knew each other from way back in high school. We met because we had entered the same debate competition and we were in opposition. She was formidable with her arguments and it actually made me fear her in a major way. I didn't even think I'd get to talk to her but as you can guess, I did," "How so?" Hongjoong asked, engaged in the story, "Well, she made my teammate cry and she just wanted to make sure that the know-it-all 12th grader had his mommy to wipe his snot. We were in 10th grade at the time." The revelation made Hongjoong let out a snort which caused some parents and their children nearby to jump in surprise, looking at him who had to turn around in shame.
"So, is that how you and (y/n) started dating?" Hongjoong asked after calming down, not really realizing the words that he used. Yeosang furrowed his eyebrows momentarily before chuckling, "Oh, no. We are not dating! We became close again after the realization of our connection and became even closer because I found out that my spotter at the gym is actually Kijoong's instructor so we just shared and bonded and got even closer because of that!" he explained.
Though he was not even supposed to feel that way, Hongjoong felt a sense of relief and his posture even relaxed considerably. Though, he tensed up again when Yeosang continued, "Although, between you and me, (y/n) seems to be interested in this other guy." "What other guy? Is it someone she's close with? How'd you know?" At that point, Hongjoong didn't even care that he was acting rather ridiculously, asking random, personal stuff to his son's homeroom teacher. How professional. "I think you'd know him too," Yeosang stated and for one moment, Mingi came to mind but considering how you still deny him ice cubes, that seemed irrational, impossible, and positively stupid. Yeosang turned around slightly and pointed to where you were inside. "There."
Slowly, almost dramatically, Hongjoong turned his head, following Yeosang's finger to see you talking to the guy he recognized as the other homeroom teacher in Kijoong's class, Choi Soobin. While you were kind and affectionate towards Yeosang, you were more... Flirty with Soobin. That was the only word that seemed suitable because your stance was more passive yet open while still maintaining some boundaries with Soobin. Very different from the way you were with Yeosang whom you treated in a more motherly manner, like how you would Kijoong. With Yeosang, it was tidying him and giving him what he needed but with Soobin, it was more playful what with the gentle pushes and allowing him to guide you so your head won't hit the shelve nearby. You both looked very comfortable with each other, being as close as you both could and remaining respectful at a kindergarten while Kijoong tried to climb up Soobin's legs. His eyes glazed over the way you gently chastised the boy and tried to pry him off but Soobin grabbed your hands away from Kijoong and made gestures that suggested he was telling you to just let Kijoong be.
It was then that Hongjoong realized that his gut feeling was correct but he had jumped to a conclusion.
A lot of thoughts ran through Hongjoong's head, trying to make sense of things as if correcting an assignment, marking parts that were wrong and putting notes on certain parts as if pointing out which information needed elaboration. Above all, one thought seemed more prominent compared to the other. The thought that questioned whether or not he was supposed to feel bitter, jealous, and, well, hurt. Knowing that he was questioning his action did nothing, however. He just kept staring at the two of you in the corner while he was there, at a distance. Because that's what he had made his persona towards you to be since the beginning, right?
Distant, unapproachable.
Like he always was.
Alone.

my academic journey (warning: i ranted) -
so ever since i started school till about the end of 8th grade i was always a 90%+/straight A student. the kind of child my classmates & cousins would be compared too. not trying to glamorize comparison btw, i personally think that's really toxic & pressurizing. so yeah, i was a "good" quiet kid. i listened attentively in class and submitted all my homework on time. the only complain teachers had about me was that i was "too quiet" but that wasn't a real issue. i was just shy but talkative with my few friends yano. i spent the entirety of 7th grade & most of 8th grade in online classes so my habits of studying went to shit. still somehow managed 91% in my 8th grade finals. and then 9th began and it all went downhill. teachers kept saying 'next year is ur board exams, u need to study a lot, etc, etc.' so if u're not from india we basically have these major 'board exams' at the end of 10th & 12th grade. but 10th boards don't really matter all that much, teachers just make a big fuss about it. 12th boards matter, but that's also the time we give college entrance exams and that sorta matters more according to most ppl. n yeah, idk what happened but i got overwhelmed. i could no longer just do well in class and study before exams and get good marks. i felt dumb. my grades didn't see a single improvement. i honestly gave up in the middle of it all and got sick of school. and at one point, it became less burn out & more clinging to the familiarity of not doing anything. i became lazy. and i became a hypocrite. i'd always tell myself, this time i'm gonna study, this time i'm gonna score well. well that 'this time' never came. 10th grade got even worse and i scored 73% in my board exams because i barely studied at all. at the same time, my relationship with my parents has constantly been unraveling. and i saw just how much of their 'pride' was dependent on me being the kid they could show off and smile widely when others replied 'wow she's going places'. my father can't hold a single conversation with me now that doesn't go back to me being a disappointment. and now i'm the kid who has to listen to her parents compare her to others. 'be like her, your friend', they say. halfway though 11th rn and i guess what?? still no fucking improvement. but the thing is i know this is the last straw. i can feel it. i got around 64% in my first tests (pa-1) of 11th. haven't gotten mid term results yet but i'm estimating just above 50%. and the thing is it's not that i can't score well. i know my potential all too well. i know i can score such high marks. but the problem is i don't study. if i just studied a couple hours every day, i can easily manage above 80%. with constant improvement i can manage above 90% again. but i don't. and that's ending right this instant. i'm not gonna turn into an academic weapon overnight or smth ik that. but i'm gonna start slowly but surely working hard. i have big dreams, i know i can achieve them if i just put in the effort. plans have been made, all i need to do is execute them. execute my laziness. i'm gonna get better. i'm gonna prove everyone who thinks i'm never gonna do it wrong, and i'm gonna prove myself right. this comeback will be for me, my inner child. the little kid in me deserves to not wind up a washed-out failure.
academic goals! -
pa-2 - 75-80%
11th finals - 80-85%
12th pa-1 - above 90%
uni - iiser (college for pure science research, bs + ms integrated)

"Bye dad" The small brown haird boy yelled back to him. He gave his son a smile while he waved. He turned around to his car, eye contact. The only thing you were able to read off of his face was the small smile he tried to give you. "Hey, I saw you herea few days ago, are you new here?" His words caught your attention immediately.
The way he was speaking so lightly while he turned to face you and walked towards you slowly, still keeping a bit of distance.
"Yeah, I just moved here." You started fidgeting around with your fingers.
The fluffy brown hair which covered most of his forehead and the brown eyes, cheekbones and then broad shoulders also caught your attention.
"I'm Gavi, maybe you'd be interested in grabbing a drink sometime? My son said him and your daughter get along pretty well- if it's okay with your husband of course." The not nameless guy anymore, suggested. However after he mentioned the word husband, your lips parted into a thin line.
"I'm a single parent, but I'd love to grab a drink. Just tell me when you're free and I'll adapt." You gave him a friendly smile.
"Oh I'm free right now." His lips curled up into a small smile as soon as he saw you raise your brows.
"Drive up front, I'll follow you." You laughed and then sat into your car.
1st of May
"Bye, love you" You kissed your daughter goodbye. You looked up at him, eye contact.
"Bye mommy, bye Gavi." Your daughter waved at you two before she ran off with Gavi's son.
"They're so gonna fail that german test." Gavi mumbled while you sat into his car and he walked to the drivers side.
"They will, but whatever they're only children." You shrugged your shoulders and laughed a bit. Gavi nodded his head before he started the car.
"So same place?" He asked to which you gave him a quick "yes"
1st of july
"Bye" You kissed your daughter goodbye. "Have a nice day." Gavi also waved at his son and you watched the two run off together.
"Ladies first." Gavi opened the car door for you as you turned to open it for yourself. You couldn't help but smile at his sweet gesture.
So you sat inside and after Gavi drove back to his house you two walked inside. You loved his house the second you stepped foot into it.
It was very bright, everything was white and modern. Also you still didn't know how he managed to keep the house so clean with a boy.
The first time you and Gavi went to a cafe together you realized how many things you had in common. However, you were both single parents who hadn't been on a date for way too long.
It was meant to happen, you and him knew ever since Gavi talked to you.
So after you two went to the café, you ended yoir little meetup on his bed, your clothes on the floor and him between your legs. Ever since then you two have been hanging out and Gavi confessed his feelings towards you 3 weeks later.
You then started dating, but the kids still didn't know.
"We should tell them sometime." You mumbled while you walked into his kitchen and grabbed a glass of water before you also sat down next to Gavi on the couch.
While you interlocked your leg with his, he turned off his phone and looked at you put down the glass.
"How come?" Gavi pushed his hair back slightly and then waited for you to go on.
"Cause then we didn't have to hide it anymore. We could go out, us four, what do you think?" The excitement was felt by Gavi after you asked him.
"Yeah, let's do it." Gavi smiled after he saw the corner of your lips immediately curve up into a smile.
"I love you" You told him abd then pulled him into a deep kiss. Gavi laughed after he pulled away but your hands were still on his face.
"I love how excited you get over this." he admitted, the huge grin on his face never faded.
"I love you-" You started kissing his face. "-so much"
"I love you too Cariño."
29th of August
"Mom, mom, mom" Your daughter ran back to you just before you and Gavi sat into the car.
"Yeah?" You turned around immediately.
"I forgot to say I love you." You couldn't help but smile at what she said. You leaned down and kissed her forehead.
After that she went over to Gavi and stretched out her arms towards him.
He lifted her up and then she wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him.
You just stood there in awe, as you watched your daughter hugging your boyfriend.

There’s a saying about how everyone is fighting internal demons. Your demons? Chronic pain. An absolute bitch in your life. It has prevented you from being able to do a hell of a lot. For those who live a chronic pain free life and don’t know what it is, feel blessed. Chronic pain is a pain that can happen anywhere on your body and it’s on going. Usually it will last for more than six months at a time. Even if the original cause of the injury is gone, the pain can be left behind. It’s essentially a pain that never fully leaves you. Some days are more manageable; while others it’s hard to even get out of bed.
You were experiencing one of those days. It was more in your upper body where you felt it, from your back to your arms; and because it reached your arms you were in so much pain that you didn’t even bother reaching for your phone. You had wanted to text your girlfriends, but you couldn’t bring yourself to move further than the next pillow.
So you also didn’t go to school that day. The school was well aware of how bad your chronic pain could get, and on the days you couldn’t make it you would usually borrow notes from either Gretchen or Cady. If you didn’t have a class with Gretchen, which was really only a single class, then you had Cady to help you out. Karen and Regina were in some of your classes as well, but they weren’t exactly the most reliable note takers. One time you made the mistake of asking Regina to do it and the note she gave you at the end of the day wasn’t exactly PG. And Karen… well, she actually (literally speaking) took someone else's notes. Since that’s what she’d thought you meant. She tried, you appreciated it. Gretchen and Cady were the only ones who actually did it for you.
Meanwhile, your girls were all in the one class the four of you usually shared together. By now it was fourth period, lunch had passed with no word from you or sighting of you in the halls. Gretchen had even asked around just to double check, but everyone told her they hadn't seen you today. The three were starting to worry as they shared a quiet conversation amongst themselves at the back of the class. Away from Mr Rapp's earshot.
"He's probably at home. No one's seen them today." Gretchen whispered, looking between Karen and Regina. Mostly Karen. Who seemed to be trying to fan herself with her pencil. Gretchen sighed," Baby, no. Get a scrap paper and make a fan, here hang on. Like this." She then proceeded to show Karen how to make a foldable paper fan, which Karen watched with intense interest. Regina just rolled her eyes.
"Come on, we're leaving." Regina stood, the other two shared a confused look and Gretchen grabbed her things without question. She had a pretty good idea what Regina was talking about and was more than happy to skip classes for you.
Karen, on the other hand, was confused as she stood and followed along through the desk rows; "Where are we going?"
"Yes, I would like to know that too." Mr. Rapp raised as eyebrow as the plastics headed for the door.
Gretchen glanced back at him to say something, but Regina grabbed her wrist and pulled her along
"Ignore him." The blonde demanded, a look of fierce determination on her face.
Mr. Rapp tried to ask them more questions, but the girls listened to Regina and ignored him completely.
Regina lead them to her jeep, digging around for her keys. Pulling them out, she unlocked her jeep and got in.
"Hurry up!" Regina honked at them.
Gretchen sighed, understanding Regina was just frustrated and worried about you. All three of them were. So she just listened, not wanting to cause her anymore stress as she took Karen's hand and gave a gentle pull. "Let's go, mama."
The two got in the back, keeping their hands together and fingers interlocked.
In no time at all (Regina may have been speeding just a little bit) they arrived at your place and pulled in the driveway.
Regina lead three into your house, not bothering to knock since they've been there countless times before. Besides, your parents weren't home because they had work and if you were in a chronic pain state like they assumed... you wouldn't be able to answer the door anyway.
They walked up the familiar stairs and into the hall with your room, Gretchen ran ahead at a light jog; throwing your door open. Her eyes immediately found your form, laying in a ball curled up in bed. She frowned and joined you, gently pulling you into her arms so your back pressed against her chest. "I've got you, baby boy." She murmured against your neck, right below your ear lobe. You shivered as you felt the vibrations from her words against you and instinctively leaned into her. Making a small sound.
"A message would have been nice." Regina's voice came from the other side of the bed. You felt it lower, then felt her arms wrap around you as she joined the cuddles.
"Sorry. Couldn't." You explained in a mumble, albeit a poor explanation. Regina sighed and you felt her nails scratch along your back in a soothing motion. It was one of your favourite feelings.
That's when you noticed Karen hadn't joined you yet. You then glanced up from where your head had been buried in Gretchen's shoulder; scanning your room for her.
Karen was over by your desk, getting your laptop started up with a small smile on your face. You thought it was adorable.
"Karen?" You murmured, getting her attention. She immediately looked at you.
"Y/N?"
"What're you doing?"
"Getting a movie ready!" Her small smile became a grin as she pulled out some cd cases, flipping through them. You noticed that each one was one of your comfort movies and your heart melted just a little bit. The gesture was appreciated.
You picked the third one she mentioned, which happened to be Narnia; the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. One of your childhood favourites. She put it into the laptop disk holder then picked up the laptop and joined the three of you in bed, curling up with Gretchen.
You gave a soft smile as she set the laptop in Gretchen's lap so it was closer to you. She didn't want to put it in your lap because she wasn't sure how much pain you were in; and she didn't want to risk adding to it.
As the movie played, you felt Regina get up and turned to look at her with a pout.
"I'm going to the bathroom. Relax." She told you before leaving, Gretchen rested a reassuring hand on your shoulder, giving your cheek a kiss.
You huffed a little and went back to watching the movie with your girls.
It was just about the scene where Lucy enters the wardrobe for the first time when Regina returned. Holding a tray of snacks.
"I thought you went to the bathroom?" Gretchen questioned.
Karen gasped," Did you find them in the bathtub?! Sometimes that happens to me."
Gretchen gave her a look of confusion and concern but didn't say anything. Figuring it wasn't a big deal.
Regina narrowed her eyes at Karen," No. I lied. Surprise." She muttered, holding the tray out to you. You could just tell she was at least a bit embarrassed by what she did.
You took a closer look at the tray and noticed a lot of the things there were snacks with clearly you in mind. She had all your favourites. There was some stuff for Gretchen and Karen, as well as herself too but mainly it was a tray made for you. She set it down in front of you when you didn't grab it and curled back in next to you.
"Thank you." You whispered to her, and if you weren't mistaken... you saw Regina George blush.
"Whatever." She muttered.
The three of you sat and watched the movie, enjoying your snacks; about half way through Gretchen offered to give you a massage. Asking where it hurt. You pointed it out to her and she happily helped you out, wondering if she was doing okay as her hands worked on the spot. You nodded, looking rather relieved as you began to relax.
She worked your muscles so well that you eventually fell asleep.
Last thing you remember feeling was Regina's kisses on your neck, Gretchen's hands on your shoulders and the voice of the White Witch yelling something in the movie.

♪ Pairings: Ellie x Fem reader
♪ Summary: You're a 12th grade cheerleader closeted lesbian hard core crushing on Ellie who's into ceramics, you finally work up the courage to talk to her.
Warnings: 12th grade AU, fem cheerleader reader, Ceramics Ellie, masterbation, heated make out, swearing
___________________________________
Her soft hair, in contrast with her cold, bright green eyes, her freckles that you counted like stars, her long finger tips, her tattoos.. It's all you ever thought about. Ellie Williams is the only person you thought about.
Walking out of your second period class, just to see her stroll past you in the hallway, it always shattered your will to live. The way she stared dead into your eyes, as you watched her walk by, watching her turn her head back twice to look at you, the way she walked with her hands resting in her pockets, your heart was collapsing in on itself.
Every single sound you'd managed to tune out, to focus on her steady, cool footsteps in comparison to your clumsy, uncoordinated ones. Her eye lashes that fluttered, you were bewitched by her existence, and admitingly, it was ruining you.
"Y/n?!" One of your girls called, snapping you out of your daydream who'd just walked by you "huh?" You gasped. "What was that?!" She asked, furrowing her brows at you. "What? What was what?" You said. "Don't play dumb, that!" The shorter girl frowned. "You were walking so slow everyone gave us shit for it. Were you not listening?"
"oh" you replied, "whatever" she rolled her eyes. "Let's just go before we're late to class again."
"Seriously, what am I? Your mother?" she mumbled under her breath, grabbing your arm to pull you along at her speed. You knew she didn't mean it in any condescending way, in all honesty you knew she was just worried about you. You'd been coming across the same fantasy in the same hallway since nearing the end of 10th grade, and every time you'd gotten so deeply lost in it. You would have forgotten your own name if your bestfriend wasn't always snapping you out of it.
The walk to your class was short and uneventful, the hallways clearing before the bells even rang. You entered the classroom, deprived of most students, you greeted the teacher before taking your seat nearly by the desks in the center of the classroom. Eager for the time to go by so you'd finally get to your cheer practice. You sat playing with your pen, bored, the girl who'd once been annoyed by you now talking your ear off. And for then you thought your ears would've started bleeding. Until she walked in.
The same girl you stalked on Instagram constantly, who you'd known her life in and out; yet still couldn't talk to her; Ellie Williams. Your head followed as you watched her sit diagonally behind from you. Your gaze shifting as soon as she sat to face the front, at this point you hadn't heard anything the talkative girl had said within the last 15 minutes, all you knew, and saw was Ellie's eyes focusing on her sketches, the veins on her hands changing forms ever so gently as she scratched at the sheet of paper with her pencil. It was like you were put under a spell whenever she was around, so enchanted by her demeanor when she sat there, unaware of your existence, or aware and just didn't give two shits, none of them much better than the other. But you couldn't help but stare longingly. The Bell finally rang and the last few people entered the classroom, and your bestfriend scoffing, causing you to look away.
The rest of the class, you and the girl you spent most of your days with talked, ‘completing’ work and laughing absentmindedly as if nothing had happened the previous hour ago.
But every 5 minutes you'd shoot short and hidden glances, just to find her glances returned every single time, the butterflies in the pit of your stomach began pick up, to swarm, like a hurricane, at this point, your work hadn't been... nearly as neat or as complete as you would've wanted it to, or atleast what would've been if Ellie wasn't constantly catching your glances in the palm of her hand just like that. You'd noticed your bestfriend tuning out, intensely looking out the window; Football practice. When it came down to it, none of you could really complain about the unfinished work, clearly you were both pining over two people who didn't give two shits about either of you. And in your book, you both agreed to let it go.
When class came to an end, you along with your bestfriend quickly made your way to the field, every girl dressed in bright pink attire and poofy nice bows, short-skirts, if you were being completely honest, it might've been one of the only reasons you ever started cheerleading.
"Y/n!" The members of your team called, swarming you so fast you'd hadn't even seen half their faces. "Hiyya!" You smiled, exchanging hugs that were quick and sweet with eachother. As the time went by, joking around, the coach had arrived, speaker in hand. "Places!" She shouted. You hurriedly took your spot at the front of the team, your bestfriend closely to the side of you and the other girls placed at random.
The upbeat song started playing, your hips swayed, the girls danced, your pom-poms merely just an extension of your body. This was your happy place, the music, your friends, the girls, the dancing. Your feet were coordinated, you knew what you were doing for once, you didn't need to worry. The short song came to an end, your coach giving constructive criticism to the girls who'd needed, and all listened, and you went again, the people on the bleachers in their world, and you in your own. You continued to follow the consistent beats, your 4th try coming to and end.
"Alright girls, again!" The blonde shouted once more. "God, you'd think we were the ones going up against the opposing foot ball team" your bestfriend whispered to you. "Yeah" you said uneasily, watching a girl walk onto the bleachers, her short hair blowing, and her eyes squinting at the sun. You hadn't realized it was Ellie until she had turned to look down at you, you jumping out of your skin when you made eye contact. Her hooded eyes and sweet looking lips had you melting, losing your sanity, you backed up, missing the beat of the song, you bumped into one of the girls, lost in her eyes, her constellation cheeks.
You were dizzy, watching her laugh at your fail, her smile pure gold, your cheeks went red, not having heard anything your coach said. The girl you'd bumped into grabbed onto your arms from behind you, giving you a gentle and reassuring shake. "You okay?" She whispered. Ellie was still watching you, the small smile still plastered across her face still not having left. "Uh, no yeah— sorry, zoned out" you apologized, her gaze not leaving yours. You watched as her eyes followed your every move.
You needed to calm down. You apologized again, asking for permission to leave for the bathroom, in which, you did. You rapidly walked to the girls room, frantically trying to get her smile out of your mind. The restroom was empty, you sat down on the floor, your pom-poms on the left side of you. You felt the beads of sweat forming at your skin, every inch of your body at the point where if you could; you'd have dislocated everyone single one of them.
The cold floor had cooled you down, no matter how gross and disgusting it was, you needed it. You listened as the bell rang for the next period.
"Hey" called a blunt voice, you looked over to see the smile of the girl you were having a melt down over. Your heart caught in your throat. Not knowing what to say. You averted your gaze, forcing the stuck saliva to go down your throat. "Uhm.. Hi" You blurted out. "That was funny" she grinned, "out there" she chuckled again, the butterflies that never really left returning to haunt you. "Uh yeah— you caught me off gaurd" you gently smiled at her, finally getting a good look at her face, all the different things, your favorite things about her, you could've written a list on everything you liked about her, but that would've been everything. "How so?" She laughed. You felt like your life had just fallen apart. Knowing you were talking to the girl who you'd never spoken too, who you were so madly in love with. She squatted down to your current eye level patiently waiting on your long awaited response. "Uh, I... Don't know." You laughed nervously, her eyes never leaving yours. "If you say so" she smiled, standing back up. "Did you follow me here?" You raised a brow, curiously. "What makes you think that?" She remarked. "It just so happens that after I embarrass myself infront of you, you follow me here" you mumble. "Nah" she smiled, "just had to take a piss" she chuckled, walking towards one of the stalls. "You good though?" She turned back around briefly, concern laced within her tone. "No, Yeah, I'm good" you smiled. Apart of you sad she hadn't come for you. "Good to hear" she flashed you another one of her kiss worthy smiles before officially entering and locking her stall. You stood up, leaving the bathroom in unease. Your heart pounding and your head a mess. Every one of her actions on repeat. Her voice playing over and over. She was so flawlessly careless, and yet you could barely find words to communicate to her.
School ended not long after. You drove home with your bestfriend, you thanked her as you exited the car, giving her a quick kiss to the cheek and a "love you!!" Waving her goodbye, you walked to your door, you took out your keys hearing her honk the horn as a final goodbye, and you unlocked your door.
The house was empty, like always, you tossed your back to the side, groaning at the rollercoaster ride of a day. You rushed to your room, changing out of your pink cheer uniform, into a lazy silk house coat.
You layed down on your unmade bed, sighing, the stress leaving your body as you could finally relax. You scrolled through instagram, all the girls you'd followed popping up, all so pretty, full lips, strong arms, and toned stomachs. You scrolled for a bit longer before coming across a page.
Ellies page. You bit your lip, tapping on the side profile in her profile picture. Her following well over a thousand, and the amount of videos of just her filling the screen, you pressed on the most recent one, where she sat in the ceramics room you'd recognized from school, her sweat pants messy and fingers so skilled. She looked at the camera every few minutes, the piece she was making taking form every time she moved her slender hands. Your heart stopped, thinking of what'd it'd be like if it was you instead of the piece. The butterflies swarming once more in your lower abdomen, and the space between your thighs heating up, your hands slid down between your legs. Rubbing ever so gently at your throbbing clit, your mind replacing your fingers with Ellie's. Your breaths uneven and irregular, your legs began to shake, until you felt the buzz come from your phone. The red heart bright on the screen; you'd liked Ellie's posts. Your heart dropped, shock washing over the pleasure. You quickly unliked, getting off her page, your breath still rapid, you pressed on your notifications. Her account requesting to follow you, you gasped. "Shit" you closed your eyes, you accepted the follow request, following her back, soon after her name popping up on your screen. She'd sent you a message.
"Hey" reading with the same voice she'd used today. You responded a simple hi. The conversation began, a smile across your face when she responded, when she reacted to your messages, she'd had you hooked. Every text she sent, every photo she liked, you were obsessed, you were obsessed with her smile, her eyes, her tattoos, her laugh, her raspy concerned voice. You'd completely lost your mind by now, the photos she sent of her hands after her ceramics session, the close ups of her eye, and the pictures she'd taken when she thought something was beautiful. In three hours you'd learnt about her friends, her plans for college, her future, you'd saved every photo of herself she sent to you. And night had fallen far quicker than you thought.
11:30 rolled around when you texted her goodnight, "goodnight" a heart emoji beside she texted, and your own skipping a beat, you closed your phone, forcing the thoughts out of your mind and prayed you'd fall asleep fast.
The next to weeks had flown by, the conversations going from 7:30 to 12:00, it was never ending and you felt yourself falling more and more deeply in love with her. For everytime she texted, was another thought across your mind wanting to ask her to hang out, you were stuck, you didn't want to seem crazy. And yet you were yearning for the adrenaline rush, to see if this was your chance. In your last period of the day, you'd texted her, almost absent mindidly, asking her to go for a walk with you, maybe get some food. To which she agreed, you watched the time tick away slowly, taunting you every minute, yet saving you, your heart beat increased with the seconds. You were counting the minutes away from when you'd walk into the room filled with works and ceramics. You thought back on what to say, what you would do when you saw her. Thinking about it drawing you away from the time you'd been counting; the end of class upon you. The bell rang and the room she was always in at the end of the day was calling you.
"You need a ride home?" Your best friend followed you to your locker as you pulled out your thin cardigan in your favourite color. "I think I'll be okay" you smiled as you watched her walk away. You now on your way to the Ceramics room Ellie was in, each step heavier and more hesitant. The door way half open, you heard faint music from the very room she was in, you followed the sound to the door, peaking in through the crack. There she sat, her breaths steady and her face irregular, calm, her fingers still as skilled from when you'd first saw the video she posted, you watched as a loose strand of hair fell from behind her ear. Her tattoo was stained, her bracelets tangled, you had taken in every detail, the distant sun illuminating the room enough to make her seem like just another angel like shadow, her hair bright.
"Are you spying on me?" She joked, smirking at how long you'd been standing in the door way admiring her. "No, I'm just.. really into ceramics" you lied, flashing her a cheeky smile. "Really? You've thrown before?" Her voice was soft, you turned to look at the pieces at the corner of the room "no" you shifted your stance. "C'mere, I'll teach you" she opened her legs signalling you to come sit between them. Your heart skipped a beat as you sat, her arm just above your hip and the other ones hand guiding yours, showing you how you'd shape everything, "so here, you'd just..." she spoke, her fingers above yours demonstrating, soon you getting the hang of it. Her arms now only resting on your waist and her breath tickling your neck. The sounds of satisfaction coming from her mouth when you did as asked.
You felt her smile against your skin, soon the silence was the only thing filling the room. Your heart pounded begging for a way out of your chest, the way she'd left her arms around you watching you take interest in her hobbies, it was too much. If it were up to you, you would've been calling her yours already, instead of hopelessly letting her ruin your ability to think.
You turned your head to look at her, glancing down at her chapped lips who'd already been smiling at you, sending you over the edge, you cupped her face, dirtying her with the wetness from the clay, you pulled away just as quickly. "Fuck, I'm sorry" you apologized, staring at the paintings on the wall. Her hands suddenly gripped your hips harder, pulling you in for another soft kiss, passionately licking your lips for entrance, you hummed into the kiss, "why didn't you tell me?" She whispered kissing the area around your lips, "scared" you croaked out, her smile against your lips when you wrapped your arms around her neck, her dried clay hands grabbed onto your ass cheek from under your skirt, lifting you up to pin you to the nearest wall ever, squeezing it as she did, you moaned into the lip to lip contact, her warm breath intoxicating you, you found her knee between your legs rubbing at your hot and throbbing pussy, having you struggling to kiss her back, you felt your legs giving out under you, the only thing keeping you up being her knee and the hand caressing your plush and soft ass cheek that she adored all too much. You whimpered quietly between every soft kiss she left across your skin, the wetness being traced down your neck like due drops. Her hand played with your inner thigh, whispering how warm you were down there for her.
"Fuck" you breathed, "do you know how long I've been in love with you?" You whispered, playing with her hair as she focused on mole on your neck. "Do you know how long I've been waiting for you to finally make a move?" She smirked into your skin going back up to your face to kiss the light freckles across your cheeks. "Really?" You smiled softly as she kissed your forehead next. "Yes really. First day of school" she pulled away, looking you in the eyes, her eyes filled with honesty and desire. "I've been so obsessed with you everyday since the end of 10th grade" your cheeks glowed red up until your ears, "Soo... wha'now?" The green eyed girl looked at you adoringly, her arms still holding strongly onto your hips. "Would You maybe wanna go out?" You asked shyly, her lips just inches away from yours.
"Id like to make that work" she smiled, placing a last kiss on your lips.

Bradley Bradshaw (10th grade)
Rating: Teen (language) Summary: Erica Barnett (world history and advanced placement US history) noticed one of her students was repeatedly missing her last class on Thursdays. She just didn't know why. But his parents would be at the spring recital. Erica just doesn't know which man is the student's dad Tags: POV outsider, misunderstandings, fluff
The spring recital went off without a hitch. Four different bands (6th grade, 7th/8th grade, high school, and jazz), the high school choir, plus a handful of other acts. Nobody forgot their sheet music; nobody got sick. Erica considered that a win.
She wasn't the music teacher. Oh no. Erica couldn't carry a tune; she was just a history teacher. She drew the metaphorical short straw and helped the music teachers set up. Not that she minded. Plus, some of the choir girls had practically begged Erica to attend.
Erica had a secret third motive too. Bradley Bradshaw. He had a piano solo, and he'd been skipping her class. Not every single class; every Thursday class. For the whole semester. He was still passing the class, despite missing the latest project and half of his homework. Nobody in the office had any idea why. He had only started skipping his last class on Thursdays in November.
Erica's prevailing theory was that the teen just wanted to go home early. His world history class was the last one of the day. A lot of kids cut their last class. Bradley wasn't special. He'd been sent home with reprimands for his parents to sign. They never came back. The phone usually went unanswered at the house. Which was weird because last year, Mrs. Bradshaw had been to every single parent-teacher conference.
"You know," Brian Davis (algebra and geometry) hummed one morning in the teachers' lounge, "I've never even met Bradshaw's dad. And I had him in homeroom last year too. It's always his mom at conference time."
"A man has definitely answered the phone at the house a few times," Lauren Jacobs (office) pointed out.
"I've seen him get on a motorcycle with a man," Tina Lewis (10th & 12th grade English) said.
"The brunette who doesn't wear a helmet? I think I've seen the same guy pick him up in a car too."
"He doesn't wear a helmet? What an idiot," Brian rolled his eyes, "Enjoy the brain damage."
"Well, I hope his son wears one," Erica huffed.
"I've seen him pick Bradley up a few times," Jack Hartman (advanced placement literature) chimed in, "Bradley always has a helmet."
"I haven't seen the missus all year," Michelle Smit (biology and chemistry) said, "She was super involved with the PTA last year."
There were a few tired but agreeable murmurs from the teachers in the lounge.
"You think they'd know what's going on?" Erica wondered.
"No fucking way the PTA would tell us though," Barbara Gries (middle school social studies) laughed.
"None of his office notices have come back signed. But I think his dad is Navy," Lauren added.
"Makes sense," Michelle shrugged, sipping her coffee, "Bunch of parents are around here."
"Bradshaw got into it with the Knapp twins didn't he?" Brian asked.
"Mhmm, yeah," Lauren nodded, "But they hit first. Doug kicked them all off the basketball team."
Doug Rogers was the junior varsity basketball couch and one of the PE teachers.
"He has a piano solo at the recital," Rory Kellum (high school band director) said, "His mom never misses a concert."
"Is Bradley in band?" Erica asked.
"No, he must take private lessons. He's good though! And I always need help setting up the stage."
"Okay, sign me up. I was gonna go anyway."
Erica was just concerned. She had a big heart. That was part of why she wanted to be a teacher.
She spotted Bradley in the crowd of people leaving. He was with two men. Both brunettes.
"Mr. Bradshaw!" Erica called out.
The teen stopped first, then the adults. He turned around. The taller of the two adults had a camera.
"Hey, Ms. Barnett! Did you like the show?" Bradley grinned.
The taller of the two men with Bradley elbowed the other and mumbled something in his ear. The shorter rolled his eyes and smacked the other man in the chest.
"Your solo was great, Bradley," Erica told him.
"He's been practicing for months," the taller one said.
Bradley flushed and mumbled, "Shut up."
"Well, Mr. Bradshaw, we've been trying to contact you and your wife," Erica informed them.
The two men looked at each other, back to Erica, then back to each other. Erica frowned. Were neither of them Mr. Bradshaw? She glanced at their hands; neither of them had a ring. Idly, Erica wondered if they were together. It was extremely unconventional, but she had heard of that sort of thing. A gay man hooking up with a female friend to make a baby. Then the men raise the child or sometimes all three of the adults.
"You wanna be Mr. Bradshaw, Wood?" The shorter one asked, "You live there."
"I'm not his legal guardian, Mav," the other one, Wood, said, "This sounds like a legal guardian thing."
"Well, we don't know that," Mav scoffed.
Bradley didn't say anything.
Wood addressed Erica, "What'd he do?"
"Hollywood," Bradley groaned and rubbed his face.
"Well, he's had a ton of abscenes," Erica began.
"No I haven't!" Bradley protested.
It was an embellishment on her part. The adults narrowed their eyes at the teen. Erica felt bad. Students and parents started paying attention to the small group.
"Okay, not a ton," she corrected, "I'm sorry."
"I think we should talk about this somewhere else," Mav said, looking around at everyone else.
Erica nodded and led them to her classroom. She gestured for the men to sit. With a huff, Bradley flopped into a desk. The shorter man sat next to him. The taller one stood behind them, arms folded.
"I know your son has missed over half of his world history classes so far this semester," Erica began.
"And that's your class?" Wood clarified.
She blinked, a bit taken aback. Her room was covered in maps, flags, and the latest sophomore projects (World War II propaganda posters). But Erica nodded.
She continued, "The office has sent home notices with Bradley. Ones that need to be sighed and returned."
"And they never come home," Mav finished.
Erica nodded again. Bradley groaned and rested his head on the desk. She thumbed through her attendance records and listed off a few of the dates Bradley had missed. The men looked at each other. Bradley continued groaning.
"Those are all the days you've taken him to the hospital," Mav said.
It was Erica's turn to blush. Was Bradley sick? He didn't look sick. The office didn't have any doctor notes on record (that she knew of). Erica probably should have gotten some more information before she confronted the parents.
Wood leaned over and squeezed Bradley's shoulder. He crouched down on the boy's other side.
"Brad, you said it was fine," Wood mumbled.
"I'm not failing," Bradley huffed, still face first on the desk.
"Yeah, but the school needs to know where you are," Mav told him. He took the teenager's hand. "What if another one of those um…"
He fell silent. Erica shifted uncomfortably. A few weeks ago, there was a school shooting in Colorado. But Mav was right. The school needed to know where the students were in case there was an emergency.
"But I'm with Mom, so I'm fine," Bradley argued.
"The school clearly doesn't know that," Wood snorted.
"Wait, so are the notices from the office about his abscenes?" Mav asked.
"Um, some," Erica blinked.
Again, she wished she had more information.
"One of them was for a fight," Bradley mumbled.
"What was that?" Wood asked.
"Lift your head up, buddy," Mav instructed.
Bradley sighed, loudly, but lifted his head up. He repeated himself.
"A fight?!" the two men shouted.
"They started it!" Bradley snapped.
"When was this?" Mav demanded.
"Last year. Um in November."
"Is this why you got kicked off the basketball team?" Wood asked.
"You got kicked off the basketball team?!" Mav gasped, "You told Carole you quit!"
"Well, I couldn't tell Mom I got kicked off for fighting," Bradley rolled his eyes.
To be honest, Erica was starting to think neither of these men were Bradley's dad. They certainly acted like some type of parent. But the longer she looked at the three men, the more she noticed differences in their features. He could take after his mom. Erica couldn't really remember what she looked like though. Wood had called Mav the "legal guardian," but Wood seemed to know about the basketball team. Erica didn't want to keep speculating on the boy's home life.
"Excuse me," she cleared her throat.
The trio stopped arguing and looked at her.
"I think I should keep having this conversation just with Mr. Bradshaw," Erica said.
The adults looked at each other. Hopefully, she would figure out what happened from the man who remained. Except both of them stood up.
"Bud, you wanna stay here and keep talking to your teacher?" Wood asked.
Erica was even more confused. Bradley looked at her. His mouth opened into an "oh" shape.
"These guys aren't my dad," the teenager said, "There's no uh I'm the only Mr. Bradshaw."
"Oh," Erica blinked.
"Oh! No, uh, fuck. Sorry! Pete Mitchell," Mav Pete stood up and came over to shake Erica's hand.
"Rick Neven," Wood Rick said. He didn't move away from Bradley.
"Legal guardian," Pete pointed to himself.
"Boyfriend," Rick pointed to himself.
Oh. Oh. Well, Erica wasn't terribly far off. They were a couple and they had adopted Bradley! At least one of them had.
"Okay, well," Rick stood up again, "I guess I need to inform the office when I'm pulling him from class then?"
Erica reeled herself back in and nodded, "Yes. We have a new policy. The kids need to be checked out by an approved adult. You can list up to four."
"That's good," Pete said.
"All this was sent home with your uh Bradley."
Both the men looked at Bradley. He set his head back down and groaned.
"I'll come in Monday," Pete said, "Will that work? To fill out whatever for the policy?"
"Yeah, of course," Erica nodded.
"We're probably gonna keep pulling him from your class," Rick said, "So is he missing any work?"
Erica pointed to the wall behind them, "The only thing I'm missing is our latest project. It was just due today."
"I started it," Bradley mumbled.
"Are those World War II posters?" Pete asked with a grin.
"Did you finish it?" Rick asked the teenager.
"Yes," Erica said with a nod.
"No," Bradley grumbled.
"Okay, buddy. Head up," Pete squeezed his shoulder.
Bradley sat up properly.
"I won't even count it late if you can get it to me by Wednesday," Erica told Bradley.
"Okay," he sighed, "Thanks, Ms. Barnett."
"May I ask why you're signing him out of my class every day?" Erica asked the men.
"You didn't tell the school?" Rick frowned.
Erica wasn't sure who he was talking to. Pete or Bradley. Both of them shrank in the desks under Rick's glare. He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Carole, his mom, has cancer. All those missed classes are chemo or doctor appointments," Pete explained, "We uh… I sent him with a note. Which I now see didn't make it."
"Oh," Erica said quietly, "I'm sorry to hear that."
"We will talk about the missing notes at home," Pete sighed, "Thank you, Ms. Barnett."
"Yeah, of course."
"So is the poster the only thing he's missing?" Rick asked.
It wasn't. Erica looked at Bradley's sad doe eyes. She was such a sucker, but worksheets could be filled out at any time.
She nodded, "So far. He's otherwise pretty dilligent about his work. I'll get everything we'll do on Thursdays together for him to take home on Wednesdays. That is if neither of you mind helping him?"
Bradley's eyes widened, and he mouthed "thank you." Erica smiled back.
"No of course we'll help him," Rick said.
"I uh I can come in during lunch sometimes," Bradley offered.
Erica felt like a bobblehead with how much she was nodding, "We can get together Monday after class and talk about that, okay?"
"Okay."
"Do you need anything else from us, Ms. Barnett?" Pete asked.
"Um, no. That was everything. Thank you for your time," Erica said.
"C'mon, buddy," Rick tapped Bradley's shoulder.
The other two followed Bradley out into the hall. Erica waited at her desk for a few minutes. There was a knock on her door. Erica expected it to be one of Bradley's… adult men. It was Lauren and Tina. Erica waved them in; they closed the door.
"So?" Tina raised her eyebrow, drawing out the sound.
Erica exhaled, "So there is no Mr. Bradshaw. There's a Pete Mitchell, legal guardian, Rick Neven, boyfriend, and Carole Bradshaw, mother."
Both women made a surprised noise.
"Pete Mitchell, legal guardian, is coming in Monday to fill out some stuff in the office."
"Like what?" Lauren asked, hopping up on Erica's desk to sit.
Tina followed suit.
"The student check-out forms at least. I think he's gonna drop off some stuff to excuse Bradley on Thursdays."
"Oooh, why?" Tina asked.
Erica glanced at her closed door and leaned in to whisper, "His mom has cancer. Bradley's been going to her appointments with her on Thursdays."
Both women cooed, "Aw."
"She's such a sweet lady," Lauren sighed.
"He's such a good kid too," Tina said.
They sat there in silence for a minute.
"Did you hear about Michelle's husband?" Lauren whispered, "She caught him with their babysitter."
"Oh my God," Erica exclaimed.
"No fucking way! Doesn't Beth Williams babysit for them? She's in my second period senior English," Tina gasped.
"She just turned 18," Lauren shook her head.
"Oh my fucking God!"
"What's Michelle gonna do?" Erica asked.
Lauren shrugged, "I have no fucking idea."
"I'd divorce his ass," Tina shook her head.
"She can't get divorced," Erica said, "She's Catholic."
"Well, she could!"
"She won't then," Lauren sighed bitterly.
"Fucking sick."
"Horrible!"
"Oh, guess what else I heard," Lauren said, wiggling her eyebrows.
