Spirit and Mind
14 For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful.
15 What is the outcome then? I will pray with the spirit and I will pray with the mind also; I will sing with the spirit and I will sing with the mind also. — 1 Corinthians 14:15 | New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (NASB95) New American Standard Bible: 1995 Updated Version Copyright © 1995 by The Lockman Foundation. "THERE'S DANGER IN TWISTING SCRIPTURE!"
Deuteronomy 4:2, “Now listen, Israel, listen carefully to the rules and regulations that I am teaching you to follow so that you may live and enter and take possession of the land that God, the God-of-Your-Fathers, is giving to you. DON’T ADD A WORD TO WHAT I COMMAND YOU, AND DON’T REMOVE A WORD FROM IT. Keep the commands of God, your God, that I am commanding you.” (MSG) Ecclesiastes 3:14-15,…

Harmony
“He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the LORD and put their trust in him.” Psalm 40:3 I am sure many of us have witnessed two distinct ways of singing a song and playing an instrument; and one appears to be more of a gift or an acquired gift than the other. There is the soloist and musician who studies the notes and practices methodically until the…

Unlimited Atonement
Unlimited atonement is the biblical teaching that Jesus died for everyone. Through His sacrificial death on the cross, Jesus bore the wrath of God by taking upon Himself the sins of all humanity and bearing the punishment that was due for our sins.
Unlimited atonement is the biblical teaching that Jesus died for everyone. Through His sacrificial death on the cross, Jesus bore the wrath of God by taking upon Himself the sins of all humanity and bearing the punishment that was due for our sins. His death on the cross paid the price for the sins of everyone. Jesus’ death for sins is the foundation for reconciliation with God because God judged…

Revelation 21: Dawn of a New Era
John saw a place being made ready. At some future time, nations would stream in, and rulers would be laden with sumptuous gifts representing the best of their people, just as ambassadors of old streamed into the throne rooms of emperors. #Revelation21
But I did not see a temple in the city, for the city’s temple is the Lord God, the Almighty and the Lamb. The city also does not have need of the sun nor the moon in order to enlighten her, for the glory of God illuminated the city, and the light of the city is the Lamb. For the nations will walk by the light of the city, and the rulers of the earth are bringing forth their glory into the…

Trusting the Lord in Times of Suffering: An Expository Study of Alma 14
In our journey of faith, suffering can often feel insurmountable. It's in these moments that we must remember Christ's example and His ultimate sacrifice.
Alma the Younger and Amulek are led away from the fire that has consumed the believers in Ammonihah. Suffering is an inevitable part of the human experience, especially for believers striving to walk the path of righteousness. In Alma 14, we find a profound example of enduring faith amidst unimaginable trials. Alma and Amulek faced severe persecution and witnessed the martyrdom of the faithful,…

Worldly Wisdom Yields Worldly Results; But is That Enough?
Since the Three Wise Men are part of the story of Jesus’ birth, you have to ask, “why were they considered wise?” (Ok, maybe it’s just ME who has to ask…) Christmas cards say, “Wise men still seek him”, but it begs the question: why don’t all men the world considers wise seek Jesus? In fact, some of them don’t care a fig for the Christ or the season in which we celebrate him. Perhaps there are…

Ordo Salutis: Glorification
1 Cor 15:12 And if Messiah is proclaimed that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 1 Cor 15:13 And if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Messiah has not been raised. 1 Cor 15:14 And if Messiah has not been raised, then our proclaiming is empty, and your belief also empty,
Rom 8:23 And not only so, but even we ourselves who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, we ourselves also groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. Rom 8:24 For in this expectation we were saved, but expectation that is seen is not expectation, for when anyone sees, does he expect it? Rom 8:25 And if we expect what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with endurance.
Rom 8:30 And whom He ordained beforehand, these He also called, and whom He called, these He also declared right. And whom He declared right, these He also esteemed. — 1 Corinthians 15:12-14 and Romans 8:23-25, 30 | The Scriptures (ISR 1998) The Scriptures 1998 Copyright © 1998 Institute for Scripture Research. "THE CROSS DISARMED SATAN"
Colossians 2:11-15, “In Him also you were circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, but in a [spiritual] circumcision [performed by] Christ by stripping off the body of the flesh (the whole corrupt, carnal nature with its passions and lusts). [Thus you were circumcised when] you were buried with Him in [your] baptism, in which you were also raised with Him [to a new life] through…

Sermon 1 John 2:18 - 29
It is always difficult to be Christian Truth Annointed Remain/Continue/Abide Belong
vs 21 - 24 The last days - between His ascension and when He will return. Antichrist - An idea, counterfeits, antibiblical opinion - Against Christ - Counterfeit experience of Jesus - It is in this world What difference does it make what you believe? - It makes all the difference. To deny Jesus is to deny God.
Gospel Box Jesus is the Son of God. The Bible is the Word of God. All people are sinners - unable to help themselves. The only way one can be saved is through faith in Christ. Christ died as man's substitute on the cross, and rose again from the dead. The Holy Spirit indwells true believers. One day in the future Jesus will come again.
The key question: Who is Jesus Christ? 1 John 4:2
True profession - acknowledge that His Son came in the flesh.

1 John 1:9
Hold on to the Truth.
Whereever we look, we have hope. 'No matter in which direction a Christian looks, he finds a reason to obey God. If he looks back, he sees Calvary, where Christ died for him. If he looks within, he sees the Holy Spirit who lives within and teaches him the truth. If he looks around, he sees his Christian brethren whom he lovesl he also sees a world lost in sin, desperately needing his godly witness. And if he looks ahead, he sees the return of Christ!' - Warren Weisbe.
John 15:5

1 John 5:19
Fellowship - We have in common.

Jesus’ Return for His Saints
The eschatological subject of the Rapture of the church can be related the study of Soteriology because it is regarded as a form of deliverance. When Messiah returns at the end of the church age, He will deliver His church from an evil world and a coming judgment that will last for seven years (Read Revelation chapters 6-18). A distinction is here drawn between Jesus coming for His saints at the…

Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
Matthew 7:1-3
Jesus is cautioning us not judge others in a hypocritical way. He is telling us to take the log out of our own eye, so that, we can help the other person take the speck out of his.
Just as believers are not to condemn others, we are not to ignore sin.  If a believer sees another believer sinning, he is instructed to confront the person in a respectful and loving way. Matthew 18:15-17 The ultimate goal of confronting the person is to bring repentance and reconciliation.
Let all that you do be done in love. 1 Corinthians 16:14

Revelation 11: Prophets Raised from the Dead
As I read these words in Greek (slowly) I could feel this starburst of fascination and horror spreading throughout my chest, with pinpricks all over my head and arms as my hairs stood on end. #Revelation11 #TwoProphetsRaised
Then, after the three and a half days, a spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet, and great fear fell upon those watching them. And they heard a great voice from the sky saying to them, “You ascend here,” and they ascended into the sky in the cloud, and their enemies looked on. Then, in that hour, came a great earthquake, and the tenth of the city fell, and…
