2 Corinthians 1:5 Much Suffering, Much Comfort
For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ. 2 Corinthians 1:5 Going through suffering is something that no one desires, yet every person has times of going through it. It can be very painful and extremely difficult on a person, never appearing to come to an end. While going through suffering, many do not receive much comfort, usually feeling…

Trusting the Lord in Times of Suffering: An Expository Study of Alma 14
In our journey of faith, suffering can often feel insurmountable. It's in these moments that we must remember Christ's example and His ultimate sacrifice.
Alma the Younger and Amulek are led away from the fire that has consumed the believers in Ammonihah. Suffering is an inevitable part of the human experience, especially for believers striving to walk the path of righteousness. In Alma 14, we find a profound example of enduring faith amidst unimaginable trials. Alma and Amulek faced severe persecution and witnessed the martyrdom of the faithful,…

"THAT CONTAINER IS LYING ABOUT ITS CONTENTS"
Matthew 7:15, “Be on your guard against false prophets; they come to you LOOKING LIKE SHEEP on the OUTSIDE, but on the INSIDE they are really like wild WOLVES.” (GNT) My two favorite seasons are Winter and Fall! Winter, because I love Christmas, snow, carols, decorations and the like. And Fall, because I love the colors, Thanksgiving, the start of the scent of fireplaces, but most of all,…

Harmony
“He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the LORD and put their trust in him.” Psalm 40:3 I am sure many of us have witnessed two distinct ways of singing a song and playing an instrument; and one appears to be more of a gift or an acquired gift than the other. There is the soloist and musician who studies the notes and practices methodically until the…

Men and Women in Creation
14 Points from Genesis that emphasize male-female differentiation  What does it mean to be a man? What does it mean to be a woman? While it seems that this discussion is a fruitless endeavor that results in people only stating their personal preferences, we do find an objective perspective given to us in the first three chapters of Genesis that demonstrate the essential equality of men and…

Yo. No one can take you from Gods hand or separate you from His love. We got life through Him. He loves you, and I do too. I hear Him saying “rest in my promises” because someone out there needed to hear that.

What's in Your Mind Really Matters; So does WHO
What’s in Your Mind Really Matters; So does WHO
Boldly Go Where No Man Has Gone Before In the old Star Trek episodes, there was a very unique thing Spock could do called the Vulcan mind meld. He would grip a person’s head between his fingers and then he could actually get into their mind and read their thoughts for a moment. It was certainly a useful tool on the Starship Enterprise, and it gave them vital information from time to time. The…

Comforted So We Can Comfort
Introduction Life has a way of presenting us with challenges that we never saw coming—difficult moments where we question, “Why did this happen?” It’s in these painful times that we often seek answers, but they can be elusive. Sometimes, we may never understand the reasons behind our suffering this side of heaven. But I wonder if part of the reason we experience hardship is so that we can later…

How Do We Carry Our Crosses?
When we think about carrying our crosses, it can feel daunting. It’s easy to slip into a complaining mindset, especially when life throws unexpected curveballs. Trust me, I’ve been there. But here’s the thing — complaining doesn’t lighten the load; it only keeps us focused on the weight of the cross. So, is the way we carry our cross complaining or compelling? I had my own cross-bearing…

"THE IMPORTANCE OF UNDERSTANDING AND KNOWLEDGE"
THE HOLY SPIRIT’S WORK IN JEREMIAH: God’s call and anointing upon Jeremiah’s life as a prophet began in the womb. God reveals to Jeremiah, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew [and] approved of you [as My chosen instrument], and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you; [and] I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5 AMPC). This reveals that the…

FAITH!
• “Now FAITH is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” —Hebrews 11:1
• “And without FAITH it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” —Hebrews 11:6
• “I tell you the truth, if you have FAITH as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” —Matthew 17:20
• “Fight the good fight of the FAITH. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. ” —1 Timothy 6:12
• “We live by FAITH not by sight.” —2 Corinthians 5:7
• “Be on your guard; stand firm in the FAITH; be men of courage, be strong.” —1 Corinthians 16:13
Faith is the most important gift a Christian has (other than Salvation in Jesus Christ and God’s Word: The God-breathed, Spirit-filled Holy Bible). With God and faith, the impossible can become the possible. Hebrews chapter 11 (https://bible.com/bible/116/heb.11.NLT) is all about the faith of people in the Bible: Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses (and his parents), Rahab and the people of Israel! And these are just the people mentioned in Hebrews 11! There are many more ordinary people throughout the Bible who were chosen by God and, by faith (and with God’s help), did amazing, miraculous things.
Friend (just like the people in the Bible), with faith and God’s help, there is nothing you and God can't achieve together. Keep seeking God’s will, keep praying, keep believing (Lk 11:9-10, Mk 11:24) and you will see miracles begin to happen. Amen and Hallelujah! 🙌🙌🙌

Daily Prayer for September 24, 2024: 1 Peter 5:7
Prayer: Our most glorious and gracious Father in heaven, we come to you in prayer this morning through the name of the only mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. We thank you for this privilege and joy to commune with the Creator of all things. We know this blessing comes with a great cost paid by the blood of the Great High Priest, your Son, the Lord Jesus. We are humbled that it…
