im going to try to be nice because bucktommy's are going to inevitably see this and im not trying to start shit.

i'm seeing a lot of confused bucktommy's about the breakup. claiming it was a last minute decision, it was because lou didn't want to keep dealing with it (wtv that means), that it makes no since because of 8x05, and a lot of other spiraling bs.

i even saw someone say that buddie is never going to happen because oliver said eddie is straight...

i'm going to break this down as clearly as i can, because i've historically had issues with bt's and comprehension skills.

1. the bucktommy breakup was inevitable from the moment they got together. if for no other reason than tommy himself. from the beginning of their relationship, tommy has decided if buck was ready. not buck. tommy left buck standing on the side of the road aftet their first date because tommy decided he wasn't ready. because buck was nervous to come out to his best friend in public. tommy decided that buck would break his heart and that he wouldn't be buck's last. tommy came into that relationship assuming it would end. not buck, and not the audience. we were just picking up on what tommy was telling us. especially, given the fact that buck was fully ready and able to move past the abby clark of it all. tommy was a bad partner to buck, that's why they broke up.

2. i said this after 8x05, it wouldn't have made since to give us an on screen breakup if the only thing we saw of tommy was the thirty second birthday scene in 8x01. 9-1-1 loves a three ep arc and buck's side of whatever realization he might have started on 8x05. we needed to see more of tommy so it made sense when he broke up with buck. throughout all of 8x05, we saw the seeds of doubt being sowed in tommy. from the hospital scene after denny, to the closing one, tommy realized he didn't fit or at least wouldn't for long. because he never got that built-in family. he doesn't trust/believe that anyone would have his back like that. and he made that choice all on his own.

3. lfj is fine. he's a mulit-million dollar nepo baby. one whose been callled out for negative past behaviors and some people consider that bullying. lfj knew how long he was going to be on the show when he signed the contract to come back. the networks choice not to renew that contract had nothing to do with buddie stans. his storyline was over.

4. i can't even be confident that he's gone. there was a lot of stuff left unsaid or moved past too quickly. now 9-1-1 has a history of bad writing in that regard but they also have a habit of dropping things to only come back to them episodes or even seasons later. if he's really gone well thank god, but if he's not im not totally shocked.

5. i don't know how many times i have to say this. if eddie is gay or bi or demi or wtv, the cast wouldn't be able to say so because it would be a MAJOR spoiler. does no one remember andrew garfield and tom holland lying their asses off about spiderman ffh??? actors are liars, its like the whole bit. buck was straight until he wasn't. let's stop being dense and accept that maybe they aren't telling us everything because that would the defeat the purpose of the show.

look at this point im not just in this for buddie. im in this for an eddie that gets to be unapologetically himself. and im going to emphasize one more time how dangerous and disrespectful it is to force eddie back into the proverbial closet because it doesn't fit your ship.

one of the things that makes me so confident in byler is the sheer amount of byler scenes compared to mlvn. and ESPECIALLY the final byler scene

we get like 2 solo mlvn scenes

their fight in el's room

and their talk at surfer boy's pizza

now let's count byler:

SIX. COMPARED TO TWO

the last big scene/interaction we see of a character/couple in a season is super important and says a lot about what's to come

like at the end of s1, the last interaction we see nancy have is kissing jonathan on the cheek and going back to steve. she ends the season with steve. HEAVILY foreshadowing that the story is not over between them and there is more to come, there will be a big plot point related to nancy and steve in s2.

in s2 the couples are together by the end, like literally together.

lumax are dancing, mlvn are dancing, nancy and jonathan are both volunteering at the snowball, and hopper and joyce are hugging.

and the last solo interaction we see dustin have is with steve, implying their friendship will continue and be important in what's to come, which it did in s3. 

it's the same at the end of s3. the last 4 solo interactions we see are will and mike, jonathan and nancy, el and mike, and el and joyce. 3 couples, and then the moment that begins hop's letter. all very important.

in s4 we get a solo jancy interaction, a solo byler interaction, and a solo el+ hopper interaction. the final scenes. the jancy scene isn't exactly happy, they're awkward and jonathan is still lying to her about college.

so in the same episode that mike confesses his supposed love to el, the last time we see them in the same room she doesn't even spare him a glance? the final time we see a couple together is important. and they give us nothing. not only do we not know if they're together anymore, it's making us lean towards them not being together at all.

then there's this:

in s2, jonathan and nancy take a big leap from friends to lovers. HUGE leap. but after that, it's not acknowledged at all. things continue as normal. i remember watching 2 for the first time and getting a teensy bit worried that no one was talking about it and more drama would happen.

but then we get that last look, and we know without a sliver of doubt that they are officially together, and in love.

this is more proof that the final scene together between a duo is very important. imagine if they hadn't give us that jancy moment, we would've been so confused and upset. we'd think they were together, i mean they legit smashed....but then they don't acknowledge each other? that would've implied trouble.

it's slightly different for mileven because mikes monolgue wasn't their leap from friends to lovers, it was supposed to be their leap from childish, puppy love to real love.

but it WASNT

after the monologue, we don't see them speak. and this may have been okay if they'd done something. something to let us know they're still together in love.

with jancy, we did see them have moments before the snow ball scene, like nancy comforting jonathan and jonathan seeking out her comfort (a hug) when he saw will unconscious. but the last scene was still so important. they didn't leave us with nothing

with mlvn, we aren't left with nothing, we're left with less than nothing. we get to see them in the same room, and el doesn't even spare him a glance. she even seems annoyed by mike. it leaves mileven unanswered.

the jancy snowball scene is living breathing proof that the writers know how to leave 0 doubt surrounding a couple. they know it doesn't take much. all it would've take. was one look, one smile, to let us know mlvn are okay. and they chose not to.

not only did they choose to have el not acknowledge mike, they chose to have his last scene be with will.

let me repeat that. after mike confessed his supposed undying love for his girlfriend, his last solo scene with another character, the last we'll see of him for years until s5 is him with will, the person who's in love with him.

and it's intimate. it's mike reassuring will during a moment of fear and weakness that they'll kill vecna and save hawkins, putting a comforting hand on his shoulder as sunlight cascades down on them.

and the final scene of s4 reinforces everything i've said.

this has always given me the vibe of, 'there'll be petty arguments, drama, little crushes and lies, but when the world is ending, who do you grab despite all of it?'

jonathan and nancy grab each other. joyce and hopper grab each other. mike and will grab each other.

once again i want you to imagine you confessed your supposed love to your girlfriend, and then a week later the apocalypse starts. wouldn't you go to her?? stand by her??

mike didn't. he stuck with will. because mlvn just aren't that kind of relationship. but byler is that kind of relationship.

Oh, you watched Fiona and Cake, great!

I am curious, what were your thoughts about like Winter King or first opening? Or like about overall more mature stuff than in og adventure time

So now that I'm doing a huge rewatch of the OG Adventure Time, I will say I adore both in their own ways.

It was really cool seeing the more mature stuff in Fionna and Cake, sort of like the show 'grew up' with the audience, you know? And do NOT get me started on how much my heart was destroyed by Simons entire plight through.

See I never managed to finish the first show, mostly just got distracted, but on my rewatch I can tell I at least got through six seasons. I like how spaced out the original show is, and it makes the really sad shit with like the Ice King hit like a ton of bricks when it happens. It really feels like you're watching all these wacky people live their lives, and occasionally the horror of the Mushroom War reminds you of its effect, through Marceline, and the Ice King, and every character who was forced to live through it. I don't know, it's really nice!

Okay I'm gonna ramble so I'm putting a read more!

I was wondering if on a rewatch I'd get frustrated the way later seasons of Steven Universe made me get frustrated, but it never felt like that at all. It's just been... fun. It's just Finn and Jake on adventures, occasionally having to set down their fun and recognize the horror of things around them, and it's just. DAMN it's just done so well.

I just got to the episode where Finn meets Prismo and makes the wish, and accidentally ends up wielding the power of the crown, and all it did was break my heart. Like I was sitting there, and for a split second I was like 'wow that crown corrupted him really fast!' and then I remembered.... he was like 13 when he got the crown. He was still a child, and when Simon got the crown, he was what, in his 40s? He was just a kid, and couldn't possibly be able to handle or combat the crowns power. It just punched me in the gut.

So I very much enjoy how spaced out and silly the original Adventure Time is, because its such a unique world I love seeing more of it, and I feel like it makes the heavy scenes hit so much harder. With Fionna and Cake, I love how tight the story is and how structured things are. They're both SUCH good shows, with different ways of writing and different vibes and I adore them equally at this point.

ALSO THE WINTER KING, holy shit don't get me started, but I will rant about this mofo

Firstly, I fucking LOVE the Winter King, and I'm really sad we didn't get more of him. I do wonder if the fact that Fionna's universe wasn't 'canon' during all the universe hopping, that if somehow the multiverse will reverse some things and 'repair' the damage. I'm not even saying that because I want to see the Winter King again, it just absolutely sounds like something that could happen in Adventure Time. Hell, look how they made Fionna and Cake just-- real! Thanks Prismo you're a cool guy.

But in terms of the Winter King as a character, and in terms of his universe? I want SO much more detail. Where is Finn, where is Jake? Marceline either left the Winter King or got killed, so I'm curious there too. The juxtaposition of genuine confidence and whimsy, and the mans incapacity to feel remorse or even real deep sadness (him saying 'Oh! The dead one?' when Simon asked about Betty was... holy shit) he was just an EXTREMELY interesting character, and I so badly want to see more of him.

Also dude was just funny. The fact he straight up admitted he thought about kissing his alternative universe self was so fucking funny, and plays heavily into his narcissistic behavior and tendencies.

On TOP of that, the idea of how he ended up cursing Bubblegum specifically would be so interesting. I read online people assuming when the Ice King did his spell, it was more like "I want Princess Bubblegum to love me, so I'll do a spell so she can understand what I'm feeling and then she'll marry me!" but then the 'understand what I'm feeling' is actually just... "Hey, I feel absolute madness, here, take it off my hands!' and might have just been a huge accident. We certainly can't trust Winter King's words about it.

I don't know. He was so fascinating, and the way he put feelers out to see if Simon would feel the way he does (Specifically talking about making an Ice Betty, then realizing Simon was disturbed so he shrugged it off with a laugh, being like 'no thats immoral obviously haha') and the fact that he was so cautious and smart about avoiding telling Simon how he conquered the crown? Like he would be glad to help and teach Simon how to keep his sanity AND his power... but obviously would have never spoken his secret the more he realized Simon would morally object to it.

I dunno. This character was in the show for 20 minutes and he was so fucking interesting I almost feel robbed. I hope maybe we can get some Adventure Time comics about the guy at the VERY least!

Given recent discussions in the fandom and because I’m curious to hear others’ opinion… would you want to see a Chenford breakup next season?

All right, let me start with my usual disclaimer : this is only my opinion and it has no more (or less) value than anyone else's. And this isn't meant as a personal attack either, regardless of which side of the equation you're in. I actually enjoyed reading other people's takes on this, particularly the ones who want a breakup, to see their perspective on the subject. It was truly interesting (no sarcasm).

To answer your question, dear Anon, no, I don't want a breakup. Mainly because I feel that so many shows go there, so I'm more interested in seeing Tim and Lucy navigate the ups and downs together.

One thing that attracted me to their relationship was their ability to talk to each other about everything and anything. How, despite their differences and their rocky start, they could always confide in each other… Be extremely vulnerable. And that is what I would love to see going forward. How this shorthand they've developed by working together can translate into their personal relationship. Don't get me wrong, just because they are usually good at communicating doesn't mean that it is perfect. It's not. Even before they became a couple. There are some cracks that became more and more visible as the season progressed. The theme of 'honesty' was their main thread in 5b. The storylines involving Sava & Jake or Isabel served to highlight that aspect. To emphasise how lies, deceit and miscommunication can destroy a relationship. Now it could be used as a foreshadowing… Or it could be used as a warning. Tim and Lucy already have a much stronger relationship, so I choose to believe that this could be a learning experience for them. Learn from other people's mistakes, learn from your past (in Tim's case).

Right now, those moments of dishonesty revolves around one common theme : work. Tim taking a desk job without consulting Lucy first… Lucy doing the five-player trade behind his back… Him trying to lie at first that he wasn't bored out of his mind… Her not saying anything about Primm (as far as we know)… Him not wanting to open up about his fears regarding undercover…  Those are starting to pile up and they're going to need to address it. The sooner, the better. Particularly the undercover talk. This has been a long time coming. It's clear that Tim is terrified but doesn't want to burden Lucy with this. And she can sense it. That last scene in 5.21 was (for me) a step in the right direction where they started voicing their concerns. It's nowhere near sufficient. But they stopped avoiding that topic altogether. Like I said, they can be great at communicating… But they can also be their own worst enemies. They're both selfless when it comes to the other… they're both used to do things a certain way. And now, they need to learn how to do these things together. To talk about these moments that may seem insignificant to them but isn't to the other. To stop making decisions for the other. This is quite new to them : as we've seen in the past, they didn't truly open up to their boyfriends/girlfriends. That's something they are going to have to learn together. And that's okay : this is part of the journey of being in a relationship.

Another reason why I don't want to see that is related to the characters' growth. The thing is, I actually could picture Tim breaking up with Lucy because there is a pattern here. If he got it into his head that he is holding Lucy back, an idea already planted by Noah in 5.16, then yes, it wouldn't be out of character for him to break up, thinking it's the right thing to do for Lucy. Which is not that dissimilar to what he did in 5.02 : sure, they weren't together, but it still felt like a separation. Especially since the end of that scene mirrored so well another one from 1.12… when he decided to divorce Isabel. And if you remember, that was pretty much for that very same reason : he was afraid that being with him would only remind her of her time as an addict and bring her down. So he did what he thought would help her the most and decided to divorce her. So breaking that pattern would be a tremendous character development for Tim (in my opinion). Then, there's the fact that this is something they knew would be coming up at some point. This isn't a new obstacle. The episode before they got together had Lucy go undercover. And Tim, even more so than her, knew what he was getting into when he told her that it was worth the risk. He may not have explicitly said it but the implication that she was worth fighting for was right there. So breaking up for something that they could foresee kind of negates those words. And it would play right into Lucy's insecurities. She was so hesitant because she didn't want to lose what they have. She is finally letting go of the fears that prevented her before from fully committing to a relationship… Her certainty in them is absolutely amazing. So breaking up now would hurt her so much. (I focused mostly on Tim here because I struggle to see a reason for Lucy to break up. At least, not if this is related to her career, be it undercover work or her promotion).

Now, that's not to say that it can't be executed in a beautiful way. Sometimes breaking up can help strengthen a relationship, as odd as it might seem. Sometimes it gets too much and taking a step back can offer a new perspective and a fresh start on healthier grounds. Just like sticking in a relationship at all costs can be very damaging and toxic. I mean, take a look at Lucy and Tim in their last respective relationships… They stayed well past the expiration date. But I, personally, would rather see them work this out together. See them 'fight' and argue, like they've done in the past… that very same thing they didn't do with Ashley and Chris. See them all vulnerable with each other, like they've also done in the past. I honestly think the writers could pull off the angst and drama with this storyline, without having to resort to a breakup. But again, that's only my preference :)

It's 2023 and I'm angry once again about the shitty writing in the last few seasons of Voltron.

Today's topic - Shiro. More specifically his romantic relationships - and the wasted potential.

I think I'm mostly annoyed at how the writing choices just don't make any sense to me. Specifically the part where they literally didn't give us any information about Shiro's love interests. Nothing. Like who does that? Who writes a romance where one half of the couple is entirely an unknown? They didn't do that for any other main ship in the show, only the lgbtq+ one and maybe it wasn't intentional but it kinda rubs me the wrong way.

Correct me if I'm remembering wrong but I think the one scene they show us of Shiro and Adam is in the midst of a fight - they don't really show their relationship in exactly a good light and it's the ONLY thing they give us of them. Why is that the only thing you show us. How did they meet? What was their relationship vibe? Milestones in their relationship, important moments, uh what kind of person Adam was? Anything? ANYTHING??

Don't get me wrong, all the Adam x Shiro fanart and speculations are absolutely amazing, and y'all are an absolute wonder, I hope everyone who does ship Adam x Shiro keep finding all the joy and happiness in that ship - but just, I find it personally hard to ship two people when I know vastly more about one of the people and nothing about the other. And there's some part of me that almost feels like Voltron did this on purpose. They put no effort into Adam and Shiro and it pisses me off. And then! They continue to put in zero effort, and kill Adam off! Okay fine! I guess he was just meant to be a side character, cannon fodder for Shiro's tragic backstory, WHATEVER I HATE IT BUT OKAY?!

BUT T H E N, they have the opportunity to start over again with another romance and they STILL DON'T SHOW US SHIT. Who does Shiro even marry wtf was his name? Curtis??????? DO WE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS MAN. AN Y T H I N G. HOW MUCH SCREENTIME OF HIM DO WE GET, PRAY TELL. WHO IS CURTIS HUH. TELL ME ABOUT HIM, I AM ON MY KNEES. I AM ASKING FOR THE BARE MINIMUM HERE. CURTIS AND SHIRO AS A RELATIONSHIP DESERVES BETTER. PUT IN SOME DAMN EFFORT. WTF.

And I would perhaps be able to make my peace with it, if I didn't feel that they ignored literally the perfect candidate for a relationship with Shiro after Adam, with all of the foundations already fucking BUILT. It would have taken so little effort at that point to write a compelling relationship where BOTH characters are well known and loved. I am talking about MATT. Hear me out.

We actually KNOW Matt. We are fond of Matt. He is our meme lord. He is our bespectacled (or not so bespectacled anymore) badass. A rebel, a staff wielding king. And not only that, he has known Shiro for a damn long time. He was literally in the first scene of the show WITH Shiro. They worked together at the Academy and in the field, not knowing each other that well of course, but got thrown into that entire Galra kidnapping situation, protected each other in the field, lost contact, got reunited, became friends - meanwhile Matt became like, a ten bajillion times more confident in himself, more reassured, taken on a leadership role, a scenario where it could potentially lead to some people (AHEM perhaps a certain person with one arm) sitting up and taking notice after years of knowing the other person -

Like do not try and tell me that's not the perfect set up for a developing relationship. Someone you've known for a long time, circumstances push you to work together, get to know each other, save each other, and you get closer and eventually realize hey. I think I might like this person. That shifting dynamic, that developing relationship - what could be better? AND IT WAS BASICALLY ALREADY IN THERE. IT WAS SITTING RIGHT THERE, IT WAS XISNJSNJSBDJDNDNDBDND

Also they would be an absolute power couple, don't even lie to me.

Their personalities are so fucking compatible as well. Like Shiro's seriousness and competence and dry humour in contrast with Matt's endearingly nerdy brand of goofiness along with his own competence/skills? Can you imagine how adorable that would've been?

Not only that, Shiro is already basically Pidge's pseudo older brother. They have such strong sibling vibes, can you imagine how awesome it would've been if Shiro had actually become Pidge's brother in law???

Not to mention having Matt start up a relationship with Shiro - bisexual/pansexual representation.

All I wanted was SOME effort. Like, I would have been perfectly happy with Adam X Shiro or Curtis x Shiro if the writers had simply put in an ounce of effort into making it convincing. It's such lazy writing and it makes me so upset, thinking back on it. And it makes me even more upset realizing they could've made it amazing by picking a character that already has the perfect setup. the lack of effort almost feels intentional, because it wouldn't have even taken that much to make a convincing, well written relationship. ThIS is the representation you hinted at for so long? This is what we waited for? Are you fucking joking. I'm gonna riot, Shiro and Adam and Curtis deserved better.

I have a feeling thinking about this stuff is gonna make me spiral and sooner or later I'm gonna start ranting about the lack of effort they put into Allura and Lance as well And the lost potential of Klance of course

It's a partnership, you'll seee

We are almost to Season 3! Less than 1.5 hours!!!!! I can't even believe it. I started watching right before Season 2 dropped because I saw just a few clips (and really, they were stills mostly) and I knew I had to watch this show. I wasn't expecting to fall in love with this show the way I did. This goes beyond Sydcarmy. All the elements, but the characterization and storyline, just touch my soul in a way a TV show never has. Thank you to everyone in the SydCarmy community for giving me so much to look forward to every day with the Tumblr posts (I hadn't been on Tumblr in 10 years!), hilarious tweets, and definitely for all the amazing fanfiction! I started reading when there were around 100 Sydcarmy fics, and now there are 776! And, dude, I've read at least 700 of those! I even started writing fanfiction again!

Okay, I would be remiss if I didn't say this:

Before Season 2 aired, Chris Storer did an interview and was asked if Carmy and Sydney could ever pursue a romantic relationship? To which he replied:

"It's a partnership. You'll see."

Yes, this was said last summer but I believe this certainly applies to Season 3. Storer has created two dynamic characters who have always meant to go beyond the traditional romantic relationship arc. Storer is too good for the stereotypical romance storyline. So many couples forgo the genuine partnership aspect. Not Syd and Carmy. They are business partners, friends, and will be life and romantic partners.

Storer may not have always planned for a relationship like this to take place, but I'm confident that Sydney and Carmy are going to end up together. There will be trials and tribulations and so much damn angst, but I ultimately believe that even if we don't see them kissing at the end of this season, we will see this come to fruition before the series is over.

So. Even if it seems like Storer is against Syd and Carmy getting together, and we're all seeing the vague "No" everywhere when they're asked if it happens, I'm not too worried. Chris told us we just have to wait and see. I have faith and trust in Storer to keep the integrity of his storytelling. There's no way all of those scenes, all of those moments, the dialogue, the buildup, the connection happens like it has without this relationship in mind. You'll see.

(I honestly can't remember if I mentioned this particular partnership idea in my Season 3 Predictions yesterday, but I definitely meant to add it if I didn't!)

Okay so when do you think Daryl figured out he had feelings for reader,like full on “I’m so in love with this woman” feels? Before they got together or after? And did he act any different when he came to the realization? Omg I’m so in love with his interpretation of him I just wanna hear you talk about him and reader for hours

Hi! I'm gonna put a "keep reading" thing on this because I went a little overboard lol

I am assuming you mean in The Beginning universe? Or do you mean in general?

I will probably answer in terms of The Beginning because that's like my main interpretation of Daryl and I love that Reader (she's literally me) and their relationship

So I think Daryl was sort of instinctually smitten with her basically the moment he saved her from that walker in the woods in Georgia. I mean, he definitely wasn't aware of it, but at the very least, I think he was just... attracted to her. Like, I don't know, soulmate shit. Very corny, I know, but what am I if not a little corny?

I think Daryl was definitely like "oh... she's really pretty," in his head, but he definitely tried to suppress those thoughts because a) they're literally in the middle of the apocalypse and no one has time to fall in love (even tho they eventually do because of course you can't keep them away from each other!), and b) he is so insecure at times that he definitely didn't think she would feel the same way.

But as for when he knew he was IN LOVE with her? It's hard to say because we have to recognize that Daryl is cautious with people and tends to not trust very easily, but I like to think he made kind of an exception for her. If you read the series, you know they got together only after about a month or so of knowing one another.

So I don't think there was any particular moment where he knew he loved her, but there was definitely a gradual buildup. Like even on the first night they met, he was starting to develop a BIG soft spot for her. Daryl is observant as hell and I think he noticed how big her heart is. She took him in to her group for a start, which he probably thought was a little um STUPID of her (lol it kinda was), but mostly he appreciated how open-minded and kind she was. And when he found out that she didn't even eat meat, but she was grateful for Daryl hunting for them anyway? He couldn't believe that she was so unselfish for putting the needs of her group before her own, and he found a commonality there. Daryl cares about his family more than he cares about himself, too. He appreciated that.

And she brought him a bunch of nuts (I don't remember what kind of nuts lol... hazelnuts maybe?) as a way to say thank you to him for helping their group, and I think that also started a spark.

And just getting to know her slowly at the Atlanta camp, and that night he opened the geode for her. Actually, I think that's when READER fell in love with him. That rock is really important to her. It stretches back to her relationship with her father, who collected geodes. I think that touched her heart so deeply, and she fell HARD. You know that saying, he fell first, but she fell harder? That kind of thing.

But she, too, suppressed it. Carol points out how much she seems to admire Daryl, but Reader brushes it off. That stems from her issues with relationships and not wanting to be with a man again, after having a pretty bad relationship before in which she didn't feel appreciated or really loved.

And then, as we know, things come to a head at the CDC, where a little too much alcohol results in Reader's confidence going way up, and she and Daryl admit that they both have feelings for each other. I admit that when I wrote the scenes at the CDC, I think I went too far in making them like LOVE each other already lol. I mean, I do think they already loved each other and just didn't realize it, but they don't say "I love you" until after they have sex for the first time at the farm in season 2. It all culminates there, and I think then we see their relationship really blossom.

A/N: Don't mind me, just feeding the neurotic need to do a 30 day writing challenge for all seasons, it's only been bothering me for, you know what, I don't even remember how many years it's been since I fail-finished the summer challenge. The original thought behind the winter challenge was to churn out and post a new story for 30 consecutive days, even if the quality wasn't great, in an attempt to improve my writing. I have since completely given up on improving my writing, forgotten what little I knew about writing, and basically just want to get this over with so I can stop thinking about it.

Vaguely set in season 3 I guess.

"Pumpkin spice latte, please."

Tony eyed her with suspicion. "Who are you, and what have you done to my partner?"

Ziva shot him a confused look, before focusing on the wide variety of fall themed muffins and cupcakes.

He leaned in closer. "Since when does our local ninja assassin order pumpkin spiced anything?"

"Since Abby bought me one after I helped her with something," she said matter-of-factly.

"Hmm, should've know nothing good could come from a goth mad scientist and a Mossad spy working together."

"What do you have against pumpkin spice?"

"It's...girly, what did you help Abby with?"

"You had a pumpkin spice latte yesterday."

"I am very confident in my manhood."

Ziva looked him up and down slowly.

He held up a finger to silence her. "You, Abby, tell me."

"She wanted my help reconstructing a murder."

The barista placed her drink on the counter, she ignored his wide-eyed look, and grabbed the latte with a smile of gratitude.

They walked out of the coffee shop, and were greeted with a pleasantly warm breeze for the time of year. Ziva looked up at him gleefully. "She  even made fake blood, the consistency was perfect, it wasn't body temperature, unfortunately."

Tony stopped in his tracks, and she followed suit looking up at him questioningly, before taking a sip from her latte and humming in approval.

"Everyone at the office is going to call you the pumpkin spice assassin, you know that right?" He asked with a grin.

Ziva narrowed her eyes. "And why would they do that?"

"Because I have given every new hire of the past five years a nickname that stuck like glue." He grinned widely.

Ziva chuckled. "And how many of them were Mossad assassins, with a brand new friend in forensics?"

His grin faltered, and she patted him on the cheek. "Good decision."

Ziva took another sip, and they continued their walk. A moment later, she angled her head towards him. "Agent donut?"

Tony nodded and chuckled.

"Not very original, from what I understand that is a well-known stereotype."

Tony shook his head, trying to contain his laughter. "Not the food, he got shot in the butt." He laughed out loud.

Ziva looked at him with annoyance. "What is so funny about-"

He grabbed her arm, now wheezing with laughter. "No, he," he swallowed hard and tried to regain some composure, "he had to sit on one of those inflatable donut cushions for a month. Sometimes, it would make a farting sound when he moved, which is exactly what happened when we were all in MTAC updating the SecNav on a terrorist cell that had been caught buying big piles of manure to make explosives."

Ziva snorted as the scene played out in her mind. "That is funny." She looked at him pointedly, the corners of her mouth twitching. "If you are twelve."

He chuckled again, seeing right through her facade. "Looks like we're both twelve on the inside, then, Ziva."

today was the day  that we were going to be filming cece, my character's, fake death scene for season fourteen because, surprise shawty, cece isn't dead just yet! due to the death scene being fake and cece getting revived later on in the epsiode, eric kripke and bob singer were going to make today's episode as lighthearted as possible during filming. especially when its considered that my actual last episode on supernatural wasn't going to come until the season finale of season fourteen, we wanted to have as much fun as we could filming my "death" then making it sad for no reason when cece is going to be coming back. 

strolling into hair and makeup, my makeup ladies, jodi and tara smile at me before i hopped into my seat. i smile back at them in the mirror as i place my coffee down in front of me. 

"hey girly, how are you this morning?" jodi questioned as she started straight away on my makeup even though it was basic with some blood and dirt added in later on

"hey jodi! i'm doing good, i'm excited to film the death scene as i feel as though we'll mess up a lot!" i chuckle softly as jodi and tara smile as well, tara playing with my hair

"you think?" tara perks up as she continues to brush my hair as i giggle, trying to stay as still as i could so jodi wouldn't mess up my makeup 

"oh for sure! eric and bobby did say they were going make the filming for todays episode as lighthearted as possible because there isn't any use to make today's filming depressing when i'm here until the season finale, you know?" i explain as jodi and tara nod their heads as i chuckle softly

"ahh, that makes sense!" tara smiled as she finished my hair, leaving it brushed but still messy enough that when i "died" it would still look like i was killed 

i giggled and talked a little bit more with jodi and tara before it was time for me to head to the set. the first thing we were filming was the death so it would be out of the way and could then focus on everything else. 

"you ready?" i hear a gruff voice from behind me and i smile, knowing straight away that it was my husband, jensen

"yeah, i'm ready. are you ready, jensen?" i respond back as he chuckles softly, resting his chin on my shoulder as i grunt due to heaviness

"yes i am ready...but, i don't think jared's ready though..." jensen trailed off as all of a sudden, an exhausted jared shuffles onto the set and i pout softly at our little big moose

"...aw, moose, what's wrong?" i pout, standing up and pulling moose in for a hug

"i couldn't fall asleep until three in the morning..." he sounded really grumpy and upset as i pouted again, hugging me tighter 

"...how come? is everything okay at home?" i question, sounding rather serious as he pulls out of the hug and nods his head yes immediately, giving me confidence but, why could he not fall asleep until three? 

"yeah...yeah, oh my gosh yes, everything's fine at home! i...for some reason just couldn't fall asleep!" jared clarified straight away, rubbing at his tired eyes as jensen spoke up 

"yeah, that is weird jare because that happened to me last week, remember e? it took me until at least close to two in the morning to get me to fall asleep?" jensen spoke up as i nod my head, suddenly remembering last week when jensen was struggling to fall asleep

"very weird but, maybe it's nothing we have to worry about as it could just be due to the weather changing," i shrugged, so i didn't worry myself and j2 as they nod their heads  

"maybe but, still, very weird," jared mumbled quietly as i nodded my head and handed jared his coffee 

"anyway you two, you need to be in hair and makeup as i've already had mine done and we need to have our brief with bobby and eric before we start since we're starting with cece's fake death!" i call out as j2 nod their heads, jared instantly drinking his lukewarm coffee as a smile appeared on his face the moment the coffe entered his mouth and i smiled at the simple joy that feeling gave to the exhausted moose 

jensen and jared had suddenly come back from their hair and makeup, now donned in their iconic flannels, jackets and jeans as we made our way to our two directors so we could start filming the scene. 

"you ready?" jensen smirked, lookin at me as tara from hair and makeup stayed behind the camera so she could add in the extra blood and muck in between pauses of takes  

"as i'll ever be!" i smirked as bobby called "action!"  

"...cece?" dean called out, hoping to god that he was going to find her before it was too late

"dean...dean?" cece's tried and scratchy voice rang out as sam and dean perked up, the two brothers looking at each other with some form of hope that cece was still alive

"cece! are you okay?" dean called out again as cece groaned and managed to stand herself up from the wall, turning the corner and seeing sam and dean, a relieved smile covering her face

"dean! sammy!" cece called out, relief in her voice but before the girl could start running, she gets stabbed in the back

"CECE!" sam shouts, running forward as the girl topples down the second the knife is retracted as she bleeds from her mouth and falls to the ground 

just out of reach of reacing sam's arms as dean starts to panic, moving close to the girl, "no, no, no! don't you dare!" dean panicked as he tried his hardest to stop the bleeding but to no avail

everything was going so well, our scene was perfect...that was until i started to giggle due to the fact i was struggling hide stagger my breathing to make it look as though i was dying. jensen groaned as he was doing so well and jared just started to giggle as well. 

"i'm sorry! i couldn't do the breathing thing properly!" i giggled as jensen groaned, wiping his eyes so we could re-do the scene

"rolling, go back from 'cece, are you okay?' and go!" eric called out as we were back in character once again

"cece, are you okay?" dean called out, cece groaning as she managed to find the strength to stand up from the wall that the demon had thrown her against as she turned the corner, a smile of relief covering her face as she saw the two brothers 

"dean! sammy!" cece called out, the relief in her voice pure as she went to start running to the boys when suddenly, it seemed as if the demon had come back to finish her, stabbing her in the back

"EVANGELINE! i said evangeline!" jared retracts as he realises he yelled out my actual name instead of "cece" 

"goddamnit jared!" i groan as he chuckled as he was back at his mark as i went back to mine before i fall to the ground

however, we just kept on messing up. jared kept on screaming my actual name for the next three takes, jensen kept on swearing because he was getting his own mark correct and the cast and crew on the set with j2, misha, alex and i just couldn't stop laughing. hopefully, this take of this scene was the one! yet, i don't think i should be so confident. 

"cece?" dean called out, hoping to god that he was going to find her before it was too late

"dean...dean?" cece's tired and scratchy voice rang out as sam and dean perked up, the two brothers looking at each other with some form of hope that cece was still alive

however, just like the first time, something went wrong. instead of me messing up or jared and jensen messing up, misha had accidentally come into the scene when he wasn't supposed to, flicking my nose as i retract in shock. squeaking out a 'geh' noise which got the entire cast and crew dying of laughter. 

"...i...am so sorry!" misha chuckled out breathlessly as i giggled, calming myself down

"oh my gosh, it's totally fine, mish! however, this entire scene will be in the gag reel, that's for sure!" i chuckle out as the mintue we went to redo the take, another two things went wrong

and those two things you might ask? jared tripped over me and then jensen fell directly on top of me. 

"...ow...jense, get off of me!" i breathe out, struggling to push my husband off of me as we both die of laughter 

"i'm trying!" he was hysterically laughing as he tried to pull himself off of me but it took another two minutes worth of strength for him to push himself off as i took in a heavy breath

"my god, fucking jesus christ! remind me to never give you a piggyback in the future!" i chuckle out as he gives me a look of offense as i giggle again 

"that is offensive! i'm not that heavy!" jensen pouted, looking down at his tummy as i smile at him, letting him know i was totally joking 

he then lets out a small chuckle as we go back to our marks to see if this is next take will be our final take that we so desperately at this point, need. 

"okay! back from the top, come on guys we need to get it together! all of us do, let's go and misha, do you have your mark? jared, jensen and evangeline, action!" eric calls out as he wipes a tear of laughter away and clears his throat as we go back to our marks and do the scene

"cece?" dean called out, hoping to god that he was going to find her before it was too late

"dean...dean?" cece's tired and scratchy voice rang out as sam and dean perked up, the two brothers looking at each other with some form of hope that cece was still alive

at the sudden arrival of air and light, dean and i look up to see castiel and jack, mustering smiles, dean and i looked up towards the angel and nephilim. in the hopes that maybe they could save me?

"cas...jack..what...what can we do? can...can we save cece? can you guys do that?" dean rushes out in panic as he is suddenly covered in blood as he breathes heavily whilst i lay limp in his arms

"i can try my very hardest with jack's help but, it may take a day or two," castiel's deep voice spoke as he looked at the brothers with empathy for the situation they were in, jack nodding his head

"so...so you can save cece?" sam perks up as the younger brother looks over at their angel and nephilim friends with hope in his face 

jack nods his head with a small smile, "i mean, that's what we do, sam. what good of an angel or a nephilim would we be if our healing powers didn't heal?" cas smiled softly as sam relaxed, however dean...dean was the complete opposite, he was in utter panic 

"what will i have to do to make sure she stays alive?" dean whispered, finally looking up from my body to the angel and nephilim who smiled sadly at the distraught older winchester 

"you won't have to do anything. you won't have to make any deals with crowley or anyone, due to her injury being a stab wound to her back, i'm sure it's a quick fix. just some stitches and a bandage and with some bed rest for a week or two, she'll be right as rain again," cas smiled softly, bending down to dean and my body as dean hesitated slightly 

"what...what are you doing cas?" dean spoke with fear in his voice, not knowing why cas had bent down to me and dean

"i need to take her with me jack so we can heal her! she can't stay here with you!" cas spoke softly, trying a second time to reach his arms out to grab my limp body

dean gave another unsure look to cas and jack before sam, the younger winchester, spoke up. 

"c'mon dean, let cas and jack take cece, they're not going to hurt her. they have to heal her but to do that, you have to give cece to cas. c'mon, let her go!" sam spoke softly as dean took a big breath in and reluctantly transferred my limp body over into cas' arms

and, within a flash of light, cas and jack had taken me away to patch me up and heal me... 

"...and cut!" eric calls out as the scene of the start of my fake death had finished as we instantly began laughing again 

"that was fanastic guys! misha's mark was perfect, jared and jensen delivered their liens perfectly, alex the way you told such a story without saying anything was amazing and evangeline, you also captured the emotion perfectly! well done guys, j2, you guys are on in fifteen and misha, alex and evangeline, you guys are on in ten! be ready!" bobby calls out after as we all thank bobby and eric as we go to get cleaned up 

walking back to the makeup trailer with my boys, jared, jensen, misha and alex and i couldn't help but giggle to myself. that took way longer than it should have but, that's the beauty of supernatural. sometimes, the best scenes occur after the tenth or so blooper.

My review of ninjago skybound cause I just binged it all today for my rewatch and yeah still my favorite despite’s being able to see the flaws

Ok so is this season flawed…FUCK YES engough plot holes I even questions things and A ending that makes me go “why didn’t we do this earlier?” But tbh it really didn’t effect my enjoyment that much to at all cause it easily has some of my fav characters developments in the whole series

First off somehow despite having very little to no development in earlier seasons skybound Jay has my favorite piece of character development in the whole franchise I love how they took his negative comedic traits and actually called them out as bad and how he messes up…a lot during the season it straight up being his fault that we got fucked over so much but I love how the show genuinely called him out on his BS and told him “mature we know your better than this” (aka the talk his dad gave him) and how he learned to man up and actually grow as A person and become A person that Nya would love instead of crying he isn’t one at that moment.

And I seen some criticism on Nya’s character and honestly understandable but I still love her in this arc

First I’ve seen people call out the fact that part of her arc is that "oh her whole thing is being the girl of the group despite saying she isn't just that last season" and yeah I 100% understand that but for me it didn't bother me cause well I can't really blame her for feeling that way when she has the whole of Ninjago treating her like "just the girl" caring more about her love life and her with the boys then her by herself and seeing her just wanting A sembalance of choice and the feeling of being more than the girl in her life got to me on A emotional level and her being able to confide in Jay and truly trust him so much actually got me to tear up

and seeing the two's relationship develop was actually amazing seeing them being in such A awkward place at the start with Jay doing shitty things for his love of her not truly earning her respect untill he learned to man up and became A reliable guy that Nya would fall for it was lovely to see I could tell Nya was truly in love with Jay beforehand but now I see why they are together I love them so much

out of the 10 episodes of these seasons (and the 62 so far pretty sure) episode 8 and 10 are my favs of the franchise

episode 8 mostly cause I think it's just perfect amazing pacing,great character development,tied with episode 10 for my fav action scene in the series,and seeing just Nya and Jay interact was greating getting to see them when Nya isn't stressing about not being able to choose and Jay not fucking up cause of his love for her made me remember why I love them together they are just cute with each other.

episode 10 cause despite It flaws it has some of my fav moments in the franchise although this is the most mixed I have felt on A ending ever (even if it's just for A season)

Ok Negative WHY DIDN'T WE JUST DO THIS BEFORE HAND like we could just go back in time and just make everything not happen WHY DIDN'T WE DO THAT SOONER it's so confusing why we couldn't do this sooner and kinda impacts the feel of the season I wish we kinda got A mention on why we couldn't do this sooner BUT

for positives it's some of the best Jay,Nya,and just JAYA moments in general with that very final scene prob being my fav in the franchise cause while I would understand how your liking for the ending might be kinda "err" for my main complaint comes from the specific part of the wish "I wish you would have taken my hand that day" and honestly at first I didn't like it as much but then I thought it through longer and honestly my thoughts on that scene is "Nya would have done it anyway"

like we could get into theory's of "Nya was dead so she wasn't affected by the wish" (that I heard was confirmed on the creator's Twitter but take that with A grain of salt) but to me it really doesn't matter after everything and them remembering I knew wish or not Nya would have taken his hand anyway that was the whole point of the season to me for them to truly be able to take A step to their relationship.

honestly outside of the two the season could be seen as pointless and honestly I low key agree but i've loved stuff that were pointless for the whole series before so this is nothing new to me so I can say with full confidence...

I still love this season and unless something in the future can top it prob will stay my fav cause despite having so many questionable moments in it still contains some of and my favorite moment in the series with my two favs of the series so despite it going down as merely A memory to only the two of them I still hold it precious to me since I was A young child when it first aired to nowadays who is revisiting it.

honestly this prob will be the only time I review A season of Ninjago on here unless the future seasons capture my heart like skybound I love ninjago and this reminded me why I'm A Character > story person lol

anyway, so - Eddie and Foxy

(oh I’m sorry you thought I was DONE?)

(actually I really am sorry - I know I have other messages and tagged posts waiting and I promise I’ve seen them and I really do wanna respond! I just -

Can I just say - this little line -

Foxy: Heard you were dead, Ed

Because the delivery makes me smile okay? It’s the way Foxy puts a slight emphasis on ‘Ed’ - kinda like he’s TRYING to EMPHASISE THE RHYME? 

A little bit of Eddie’s theatrics rubbing off on him? Or Foxy tailoring his speech/behaviour to match Eddie’s? Either way I find it very, very cute :)

Other things that are super cute - this moment -

When they visit the crime scene and Foxy deliberately hangs back to give Ed space to investigate - silently acknowledging that Ed is more capable.

But ALSO - we see Foxy watching with the above curious, maybe slightly nervous, expression. And I imagine a variety of things crossing his mind in that moment. 

A touch of anxiety perhaps - that he’s making a mistake working with a known felon and murderer, is it morally/ethically sound?; that Ed won’t, or worse can’t, help him, because how will the GCPD ever stop the bomber and bring Haven justice then?

But alongside all that it also looks, to me, like Foxy is kinda nervously excited to see what Ed uncovers, to watch Ed work. I mean, it’s not fanboy level interest or anything like that! But I do get a sense of personal interest from Foxy. We’re not quite Watson eagerly waiting on Holmes’ deduction, but we’re in the vicinity!

Basically - there’s a nice level of quiet anticipation in Foxy here that I really love.

And it’s followed up by Foxy tiling his head and prompting Ed by saying his name - not softly, but not impatiently either. It’s a sort of firm but questioning - ‘Ed?’ and the tone suggests to me a dual worry that Ed might be stalling and isn’t going to help (putting Foxy on the edge of distrust/impatience) and also that, for whatever reason (ie. his mental heath issues or his current physical condition), Ed is too unwell to help and may be on the verge of collapse or a breakdown (nudging up Foxy’s compassion and/or pity). It’s Foxy trying to figure out if he should be berating Ed or tending to him, basically!

Then ofc Ed launches into ‘Detective Mode’ (Arkham Games pun there :p) and Foxy relaxes and joins in and they both happily lose themselves in the science of it all :)

(no wait, couldn’t you technically, actually, literally call it ‘Partners in Crime’ ie. crime solving?? omg wordplay is the best)

And and - there’s a couple of moments during the deduction when both of them get mildly frustrated with each other, but it’s mitigated by the overriding respect each of them are feeling for the other as well -

1) Foxy’s weary response to Ed gleefully comparing the crime scene to a ‘classic locked room mystery’ and beginning his theatrical summary of exactly what a locked room mystery is. You can just HEAR Foxy thinking ‘oh god, another riddle/performance, can’t he just get to the point?’ 

Except moments later Foxy is actually engaging with Ed’s ‘performance’ - giving the correct ‘answer’ to a locked room mystery (ie. that the killer was already in the room) and going on to ask Ed, GENUINELY CURIOUS, if that means the bomb was already in the building. Seriously, I swear Foxy doesn’t look mad or impatient when he asks the question, he’s back to being properly lost in the puzzle and eager for Ed’s insight.

2) After Ed has offered his explanation/theory, in true theatrical fashion, about the oil drum (or whatever it was) being used as a bomb, Foxy offers his piece of glass as a possible rebuttal (also somewhat theatrically now I think about it since he deliberately offers it without explanation, forcing a follow up question from Ed - more adoption of Ed’s mannerisms?). Ed just looks at him and there’s a touch, I think, of suppressed disdain in his voice when he answers - ‘glass?’ Because Foxy is not only questioning the genius of Ed’s deduction, he’s also just messed up Ed’s performance by failing to applaud, or the equivalent of.

And yet, the disdain IS SUPPRESSED and tempered by GENUINE CURIOSITY. Ed isn’t just dismissive of Foxy, despite maybe wanting to be. He is also very much ACTUALLY ASKING for Foxy’s explanation, because he respects Foxy enough to know that whatever Foxy is bringing to his attention actually probably IS relevant.

...they go on to speak in tandem after that <3 perfect timing, having gone on a whole intellectual back and forth that has been bringing them slowly closer and closer until they are perfectly united :)

One very last thing! (...for now :p)

This is Eddie’s reaction to Foxy giving him the folder ie. the thing he was desperate for when they started and the reason he agreed to partner up with Foxy in the first place (oh damn, this plot and Jim and Ozzie’s plot were ACTUAL MIRRORS of each other this episode - Jim and Foxy both agreeing to ‘partner’ with their respective Rogue, should have twigged that sooner!)

Anyway, this comes after Ed has given his heartfelt speech about hoping Foxy finds whoever is responsible and makes them pay.

The caps really don’t do the reaction justice, because Eddie is honestly SO SHOCKED/SURPRISED at being handed the folder. It’s like... like his big speech was intended as his goodbye. There’s certainly a sense of finality to it. Eddie saying ‘this is where we part ways.’ Meaning, guys, I swear, by this point -

EDDIE HAD FORGOTTEN ABOUT THE FOLDER!!

He’d got so swept up in the investigation (and spending time with Foxy?) that it had became his sole focus. He was no longer helping for the reward, he was helping BECAUSE HE WANTED TO. 

...and sure, maybe it’s largely because he got invested in the mystery/puzzle of it. But the way he gets so sombre at the end makes me think there was a fair part of him that was shocked/sickened by the bombing enough to want to help in order to get justice for it as well 

(he’s like Ozzie in that way perhaps - sickened and honestly wanting justice, but also happy to capitalise on the aftermath of the tragedy for personal benefit ie. Ozzie sets himself up as more of a hero because he enjoys the love of the people it provides him (and enjoys spending time with Jim?) while Eddie helps solve the crime because he enjoys the puzzle of it (and enjoys spending time with Foxy?)... maybe maybe...) 

But anyway, however you break it down, Eddie ended up caring more about solving a puzzle with Foxy than getting his prize and I - *clutches heart*

(Nancy)

(I imagined a multiverse where Nancy worked at Scoops Ahoy, escaping the Russians with Steve and Robin. Nancy being the secret 5th member of Scoops Troop. I love Nancy's season 3 story, also Robin and Steve's friendship. Robin coming out to Steve is one of my most favourite TV scenes ever. I just thought this would be an interesting idea to write for the prompt.)

Nancy and Robin sit on the bathroom floor, after having vomited, from their experience with the Russians. Nancy smiled at Robin.

"You know when you were playing Ask Me Anything with Steve, can we play that?"

"No way, Nancy Wheeler wants to play Ask Me Anything with me?"

Nancy looked down, but saw Robin smile.

"Sure, I'm an open book, I told Steve I peed my pants a little earlier today when the Russian doctor took out the bone saw."

Nancy giggles, appreciating Robin's honesty and how naturally funny she is.

"You know Steve really likes you? I think you guys would be cute together, like if you dated him, we could go on double dates I'd bring Jonathan. Would you go out with Steve, if he asked?"

"No, me and Steve are just friends, platonic with a capital P."

"Why?"

Nancy was curious but now wondering if she took her question too far, when Robin groans, hugging her knees and hiding her face behind them. Unsure why the question made Robin uncomfortable.

"Nance."

Robin sighs. Nancy unaware of why it felt like such an obvious no to Robin. Sure, they both know he was awful in high school, but he's very different now. Also seeing the chemistry Robin has with Steve, that Nancy wasn't sure she ever had with him, Steve and Robin were best friends.

"Do you remember at school, Tammy Thompson?"

"I think so, she's the girl who would sing all the time and had a crush on Steve, right?"

"Yeah. I-if I told you the truth, I don't even know if you would still want to be my friend. I'm not like you Nancy, I'm different."

Nancy had no idea what Robin was refrencing. She didn't even know Robin considered her a friend, but can't imagine why she doubts they won't stay friends.

"I'm sorry, if I made you uncomfortable. I still want to be your friend. When you said I was your friend, does that make us friends, as in officially?"

"I mean, yeah, right?"

"Right. I don't think Steve likes Tammy back, if that helps?"

"I know Steve didn't like Tammy, but she couldn't pull her eyes away from Steve and his stupid hair, I didn't understand. He would ask dumb questions in class and get bagel crumbs all over the floor. I wanted Tammy to look at me. I would go home and scream into my pillow."

"You like Tammy Thompson? But Tammy's a girl?"

"Nancy."

Robin sighs. Nancy frowns and pauses after realising, wondering how she didn't even think of that being a possible option.

"Oh!"

"Yeah."

Nancy sits there quietly thinking, she wants to ask more questions, but not sure if Robin's still the open book she said she was. Nancy wanted to know, why Tammy?

Tammy wasn't a great singer, but she was confident. Sure, Tammy was pretty, but she definitely didn't think she was the most attractive girl at their school or anything.

"Tammy? Really? She can't sing in tune." 

Nancy obvlious to Robin even being scared of coming out to her. Nancy would always love and accept Robin, she just wanted her new friend to be happy.

"Tammy can sing, she has dreams."

Nancy couldn't help asking Robin more questions, fascinated.

Nancy didn't think she knew anyone who was gay, she had her suspicions on her younger brother's friend, Will. However, she's never really talked about it.

"So do you like any guys too, or is it just girls?"

Nancy hoping her eager excitement and enthusiasm about being able to gossip about girls, didn't scare Robin. Robin instead laughed, loving how Nancy never changed.

"Girls, just girls."

"Well girls are pretty, I've never told anyone this, but I always wondered what it would be like to kiss a girl. I never have before."

Robin raises her eyebrows at Nancy's comment, Robin giggles and they both blush. Nancy leans into Robin.

"Me neither."

Nancy looks at Robin asking her softly.

"You've never had your first kiss?"

Robin shakes her head and shrugs, leaning in closer to Nancy. Nancy leaned in closer to Robin, looking into her blue eyes, they both smile.

Steve bursts into the bathroom.

Nancy and Robin immediately pulled away from each other before anything even happened. Steve unaware he interrupted something.

"Dustin finally explained the plot of Back To The Future to me, he's going back to the past and no that's not right, uhm..."

Steve's distracting interruption made both Nancy and Robin laugh at their friend.

"No dingus, he's in the past and has to go back to the future!"

"Oh. I still don't get it."

Nancy gets off the floor, then holds her hands out helping Robin stand up. Nancy then lets go of Robin's hands, as the three of them leave the bathroom together.

i'm gonna be honest. i really didn't like this season. everything was full of cliches (i know the show was like this from the start but it was especially bad this season) and it seemed like the writers completely gave up. i feel bad bc this review will probably end up being very negative but it is what it is. i've seen mixed reactions from people but it's always interesting seeing someone enjoy something you didn't and see it from a different perspective.

so, i'm just going to briefly touch on the characters.

victor = oh boy. i get that he was confused but knowing that he was still hung up on benji..... like why didn't anyone advise him to be single for a little while. i guess that's a problem most people in that town have, lol. i hated how i barely remembered the new guy's (nick) name. i hated how they just used him for benji and victor drama. it was so obvious in the break up, too. like why was he smiling and flirting with the guy victor wanted to be a guru for (see i can't even remember his name!!!) 5 seconds later. he didn't even feel like a real person. anyway i couldn't care less about victor and benji, the same as before.

benji = i didn't see this coming but i did sort of, kinda like benji, a little bit this season... i liked that we found out more about him and his addiction. i also really liked him in scenes with rahim which just confirms my theory of rahim being the best character and making everyone better. honestly i thought the show would try to make them (benji and rahim) a thing for a second and i weirdly wasn't mad at it....

isabel and armando = ah my actual best friends! they were so so cute this season. i loved seeing isabel more confident in supporting victor even though i thought that setting him up with (checks notes) ahem nick, was a bad idea...but she is trying and she's pretty and i love her. armando<3 pls be my father. i loved the talk he had with pilar about their first daughter. it was very emotional. and i love that they are starting their own business. truly a highlight of the season!

mia and andrew = oof. i did like them overall but seeing andrew be willing to drop everything for one person made me sad. you can't think like that especially when you are that young. it's not a good message and the show acknowledges it, which is good. it's definitely a tricky situation and i get it.

felix = stanning felix weston is not just a hobby. it is a lifestyle. it is the smell of flowers and the sound of birds first thing in the morning... lol okay but fr now. he was really witty this season ("oh he's not a dick, he just wants dick..... thinking about victor? lake, i don't think you're his type", can't think of more but pls put some in the comments if you remember). what can i say? i love the guy. i just wish his relationship with victor wasn't kind of forgotten again :/ i also adore him and his mom! their relationship was everything. (i talk more about him and pilar in her section of the review).

pilar = my girl..... i loved pilar. i still kinda do but this was probably my biggest problem with the season. why. why did she break up with felix??? the reason did not make sense to me AT ALL. she said he chose her family over her?? just because he suggested to lay low for a while until things with her dad calm down? that's the right thing to do! it wasn't like he wanted to break up. and she completely freaked out. seeing her climb through his window and try to sleep with him out of pure insecurity about their relationship and feeling like she's losing him made me so sad.....she's a young teenage girl so i get it but like to not want be together even after some time passed and you thought about it more? it's like the writers couldn't think of a better reason and just did that. i was sad they didn't end up together but also their relationship was moving a bit quickly (saying i love you like 3, 4 episodes in?). they could've just have them be a cute no drama couple and let them say ily at the end of the season.......

lake and lucy = what a delight! their relationship was short but sweet. nothing really stood out for me about them except their break up scene which made me weirdly emotional?? i feel like the actresses reallllly did a good job, both of them. and i liked hearing a bit about lucy's life. i really related to wanting to run away from your town, lol. glad they didn't break up! the only thing i disliked was that weird ass kiss between lake and felix wth was that??? and they didn't even flinch, it was like it didn't happen. weird as hell.

rahim = ah! my other favorite character right next to felix. he found a bf. good for him! i do think it was weird the way him and victor got over their feelings for each other so quickly. but all of these characters do act like they've got amnesia every new scene they're in, so it makes sense, ig. his storyline with his mom and that homophobic relative (was it an uncle?) really touched me. the scene with his mom where he just said a simple "never again." as to let her know he does not want to hide who he is ever again was excellent! anthony keyvan is such a talent and i hope to see him in other things soon! wish the scene was longer, i almost teared up with him haha.

so to wrap things up, sadly i was annoyed with a lot of characters this season and i felt like the dynamic between some of them completely disappeared (mia and victor, felix and victor, victor's little brother was legit in like 2.5 scenes, i forgot he existed). i understand that the season and episodes are short but they just threw in a bunch of characters with honestly some pretty interesting and complicated issues and then just either left them hanging (like the guy victor and felix had the school project with who kissed victor?? where did that storyline go? or mia's mom?) or "solved" them with a corny speech/ friendship-is-magic-esque message. which is why the pilar and felix break up did not make sense. everyone was magically able to overcome every obstacle but they just broke up for such a dumb reason. i also hated the pop culture references. and yet again did not understand this huge love between victor and benji? this grand connection they shared. (was laughing at victor looking at that water fountain remembering when he first saw benji. i was like, really? you couldn't remember anything more special from your relationship? just him looking hot and walking? (i will say i understand why he remembered that - bc it is the first time he saw him, i get it, i just find their relationship very superficial and lacking substance). it would've been awesome for victor to end up single but oh well. it was a cute show overall (the 2 previous seasons at least) and i'm gonna miss some of the characters (mostly felix and rahim), but i will probably pretend this season doesn't exist bc it was a 2/10 for me :(

The key to any upcoming Tom and Greg split is how unhappy they are while apart.

Tom has been unhappy for a long time now, that is not news, but it was put across in the starkest possible terms tonight. His marriage is completely dead. He is shattered. The sex scene between them was one of the most genuinely upsetting death of a marriage scenes I can remember. Ingmar Bergman would even take a step back.

Then there's Greg. If you believe the common fan narrative that Greg was a doe-eyed darling who would learn to play the game and who would also flourish after moving away from Tom's tough-and-tender obsessive grasp. None of that is happening. He fucked up badly with his grandfather, and with his career. Most importantly, he fucked up what was supposed to be the "nice guy" chance at happiness with Comfort Inn. He wasn't into her, even after he spent an entire episode chasing her.

Of course, Greg may find another woman who will be closer to what he wants, but really, Greg rarely knows what he wants and is rarely happy with what he gets. The closest he was to savvy this season was with Tom, asking Tom to take his prison time. The closest he was to confident was asking Tom to prove that he has a big dick.

Without Tom, what is Greg? With Tom, he's scared, confused, yes, but he knows where he is and how to get what he wants. When he has ample opportunity to find his voice away from Tom, he (at least not as of yet) can't do it.

There were ways to have a clean, if emotionally shattering, break between Tom and Greg, similar to what happened with Kendall and Stewy. The show has - unless the finale takes a big shift - instead shown how much more in sync they are when together. And that, even if I try not to have expectations, at least makes me hope their connection will continue to be important in season 4.

I love reading your analysis of the show. I was so invested in the growth of Tommy and Lizzie especially in S6. I was so disappointed in the lack of scenes or elaboration in the final episode, they seem to end abruptly for them. Do you think Tommy and Lizzie will get back together? I see his wedding ring being burnt in the caravan along with her pic/Charlie. Does it mean, it's the end of their story. What does it mean you reckon?

I feel like it made sense for where the characters were in that moment.

I don't necessarily think the burning of his things in the caravan has to mean the end of their story. While I really don't know what will happen in the film -- there's definitely a chance they won't get back together or that the nature of a film (much shorter and more compact than a 6 episode series) will mean their relationship doesn't get much time. i do feel like that would be a waste; Natasha O'Keeffe was a revelation this season and her acting chemistry with Cillian Murphy was explosive to watch and left me wanting more, even if the two characters remain alienated and she hates him.

If we are talking about what might be believable for their relationship outside of the confines of whatever will be in the film, I do think there is potential. The burning of the caravan could represent an end to how Tommy was doing things before, when he thought he was dying and was deeply suicidal. It could mark a turning of a corner in his relationships with everyone; just because the picture of Charlie burnt I don't guess that Tommy will cut off that relationship, for example. It was a symbolic fire. The other point to remember is he didn't choose for that fire to be set, and it has other darker meanings, as @whatagrump pointed out.

The reason I theoretically have hope for Tommy and Lizzie is twofold: it was obvious that prior to Ruby's death the two of them had reached a level of understanding and Tommy had managed to open up more to her than I ever expected to see. There was a real sense of trust between them. Incomplete maybe, budding maybe, but the potential was there. Secondly: Lizzie seemed most upset by the fact that Tommy was just accepting her leaving him and not fighting her on it. Yes, she was upset about him sleeping with the enemy right after their child's death, but the fact that he just apathetically let her go when she found out seemed to hurt her more. I think she realized on some level that something else was going on with him around it, and wanted him to try to explain. I also think she knew something was going on with his health and wanted him to explain that too, but by then she was too upset over the other thing to push him on it.

What Lizzie had wanted most from him this season was his presence and his emotional honesty, for him to confide in her about what was going on with him. I think for reasons I've talked about, he wasn't capable of giving her more than he did; but it's possible that now that he has reached some kind of feeling of peace about the war, maybe a feeling that he has actually finally come back from it, he may be able to open up a bit more with her, or at least make the attempt.

I could see their relationship going either way. A good fic, for example, could convince me of just about anything with them at this point. Under the right circumstances I think Lizzie and Tommy could be really good for each other so when I'm optimistic that's how I think of them, some time down the road.

That final Hiccstrid scene in Mi Amore Wing was just too perfect, we have Hiccup grabbing Astrid's hand to bring her outside and talk to her, the sunset in the background, every little thing Hiccup told her about being there for her and loving her with everything he had and that he should've noticed the necklace right away AND THEN THAT KISS WAS JUST AMAZING❗️❗️❗️ it was passionate and sweet and Astrid was blushing and then Fishlegs was all uncomfortable and Mala was like "okaaayyyyy😏" and Dagur like "alrighhtttt👌🏼" ig the only thing I didn't like is that Astrid didn't say I love you back 😭 but it's ok cause yk she does I just wished she had said it.

Stormfly's spine clone was literally so badass, my girl was surrounded and she finished every single dragon flyer with it. Badass move. Wish we had seen it more throughout the series

It really pissed me off that Hiccup had to choose between getting Tuff, Ruff and Snotlout out of that sinking ship when he could've been following Krogan. Like ofc it was the right decision but that wouldn't have happened if the twins and Snotlout didn't follow Gruff into the ship :/

I love how strong Barf and Belch are! They literally carried the a Titanwing Dramillion on their own.

That scene when they figured out that the Titanwing Dramillion is not the King of Dragons but instead the last piece of the puzzle to get to the King of Dragons

When the Wingmaidens got to the battle it was amazing
