Still thinking about Suicide Squad Isekai Peacemaker sorry. Seriously wondering if this is gonna be the Peacemaker Show again where against all odds it ends up being a Peacemaker take that really clearly gets him. Its on my mind.
#Yes we've seen like 2 seconds of him and Im basing this on him having a bag over his head which is also just a good look.#Im being OPTIMISTIC ok#It will also be hilarious if he keeps winning adaptations but then is still in this weird purgatory hes currently in in the comics#It'll be soooo funny.#My friend made a joke about like 'what if he has the bag because hes still a diplomat and hes like really famous and trying to hide his-#-identity' and that killed me. He's gonna show up covering his face and calling himself Mitchell Black I think.

I got bored and have now decided how Episode 2 of Season 8 should go. (This is on the hopeful assumption that Gerrard will only last about 3 episodes).
So we obviously need at least one episode of dickhead Gerrard (who I guess no one can report since he’s working with the evil councilwomen). So maybe Eddies on a leave to deal with his son, so he hasn’t met Gerrard as captain yet until episode two.
So, Eddie is obviously going to be quite reckless and self-loathing this season.
Hen, having almost lost Mara, will be sympathetic towards him (especially since Chim has the sarcastic side in the bag, what can’t you say about a man’s dead wife’s doppelgänger, he’s def gonna make a Vertigo movie reference).
But Eddie and Hen worked together and know each other well, they’re basically siblings. She knows when he needs space. So, after a reckless “Buck style” save from Eddie, he’ll come up the stairs where most people are, and when Hen comes over to talk to him he’ll give her a “I can’t right now” look and carry on past.
But to everyone else he looks like he dismissed her (except they know Eddie doesn’t mean to be rude).
However… Gerrard doesn’t. Gerrard who only really knows Eddie as “that guy who did the crazy save earlier” and hasn’t really talked to anyone so far (cause he’s mad at himself and distancing himself).
So he’ll go over to Eddie and say “Well it’s nice to have a traditional guy around. Not listening to the useless comments.“ with a pointed look at Hen. And then he’ll clap Eddie on the back.
Eddie who’s heard all the stories of what Hen went through. Eddie who saw women get discriminated against in the army. Eddie who’s pissed off and lost everything.
And he’ll deck Gerrard in the face.
The chief comes in starts interviewing everyone about it.
(They could even do this episode from the end. With everyone talking to the Chief, trying to cover for Eddie at the start of the episode- we as the viewers not necessarily knowing it was Eddie who punched him- and then have his identity revealed to the viewers but not the Chief through the episode, with interview style scenes).
And just when the Chief goes downstairs and Gerrard comes out says he’s found the security footage of the punch… Ravi comes up the stairs.
So turns out a few years ago Gerrard was sued (or maybe he was married and got a divorce idk). And so he moved out of his house into a nice, big apartment since he could afford that better.
And guess what? Ravi OWNS the apartment building.
So “unless you want horrific credit and nowhere to live Captain I strongly suggest you drop this right now.”
(A nice comparison to Ravi who wanted nothing to do with the 118 gang when he first met them).
So together they all (totally not suspiciously) tell the Chief everything’s okay and Gerrard got hurt on a call.
Yay, Ravi saves the day. And then we get a cute look between Ravi and Eddie because I really want them as friends.
(Also side note, Athena and Harry are similar to Eddie and Chris, I really hope Athena and Eddie get a conversation about how to deal when your child doesn’t trust you as much and blames you for things, especially since I hope Athena regrets hitting Harry).
STOP I LOVE THIS ravi saving the day not only as a poc character but as a character who, like you said, originally started out not wanting to be a part of the 118 would be such a great way to usher him in as a main cast member to solidify his place (keep manifesting for ravi main yall 🙏🙏) AND we get more landlord ravi shenanigans (ik it’s one of the more crack elements of the show but ravi being a landlord kills me)
and i agree athena and hen both know what eddie’s going through having to watch a child leave and (athena w harry and hen w both nia and mara) so him having that support would create such interesting dynamics… (even karen too bc i need more eddie & karen friendship moments pls and thank you) i also think athena being able to have a conversation with him about letting go of a romantic partner after losing them suddenly would be so beneficial to eddie too, AND the complexity of her relationship with michael as well could provide some context to eddie’s feelings that he may not have realized before (*cough cough* queer eddie *cough cough*👀👀👀)

Running Through Your Veins (Cut Down the Altar)
Isaac is faced with the possible death of Joshua. Has their luck run out?
CW: Torture, poisoning, cardiac arrest, broken bones, panic attacks, nightmares
Prompt by @serickswrites and @artisticdemon
Story by @missr3n3
It all started with a letter. Leah and Madeline have come back to the whole apartment being ransacked. It was like when Cairyx had kidnapped Joshua, but this time, both him and Isaac were gone. After frantically searching for the two boys, Madeline found a note on the bed beside the plush rabbit she got him. What she read made her blood run cold.
"Thank you so much for making my job easier. Because of your video, I was able to track down and take the nameless devil and your friend. I'm willing to let them go if you follow my demands. Give me all the information you have about the devils and I'll let them live. Do not send help."
It was a mistake. It was a mistake letting Joshua reveal his identity. They should've known that people would hunt him down. There were a group of people that had been making the rounds recently, calling themselves Devil Hunters. Their goal was to exterminate all the devils that had been invading the world.
From the moment Joshua uploaded that video, his fate was sealed.
Isaac struggled against the cuffs and chains keeping him attached to the wall ring in the corner. He had to get out. Had to get to Joshua.
Joshua stood in the standing cuffs, his body stretched taut as his arms were pulled tight high above his head. His faded, brown hair was slightly covering his eyes, his horns out at full display. He stood at attention, desperately trying to keep his feet on the ground lest he put too much weight on his shoulders. He was trying hard to put on a brave face, gritting his teeth, letting his fangs show. However, Isaac could tell that he was scared. By the way his body was quaking, he couldn't deny that fact.
For him, he was back at the Nightmare Sand Pit, being tortured into nearly giving up his identity. He won't let it happen to Joshua. Not again.
"Well, well, well." One of the devil hunters said with great flourish. "This is a moment I have been so longing for."
He was a tall man with long, black hair tied into a ponytail. He had a sinister look to him with the way he smiled to the way he looked at the two boys with his bright, green eyes. He called himself Sebastian Bachman or Seb as his hunter colleagues would call him.
"What do you want now?" Joshua snarled.
"Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. That's no way to speak to a stranger now, is it?"
"Fuck you." Isaac growled as he glared at Sebastian.
The devil hunter gave a sideways glance at the dark skinned man. "I have no interest in that. No, the only interest I have is your pain, Izzy."
"What pain? You haven't really done anything to us. You think your faux tough guy look is gonna scare us? Please, the only thing you'll do is bore me to death."
"Joshua, shut up!" Isaac hissed.
"Oh, is that what you think? Well, I'm not like those puny demons. Besides, I know all about your little excursion to the Nightmare Sand Pit. How you nearly let yourself go. I cannot imagine the pain you're going through. Well," He grabbed Joshua's chin. "I'm here to make you feel better."
Joshua spat in Sebastian's face. "Get away from me, you creep."
Sebastian wiped his face, glaring at the Cael devil.
"You better not hurt him or I swear to God, I will make your life hell!" Isaac shouted as he struggled against his restraints.
"Aww, you're such a killjoy." He unfastened the whip on his belt. "You really don't understand, do you? These devils killed people. It killed that poor girl's sister, that innocent police officer - It even tried to kill you. Where did you think those scars of yours came from?"
Isaac gritted his teeth.
"The point is, the devils are a threat to humanity and the only way everyone can be safe is when we kill all of them."
"But why kidnap Joshua? He's a Cael devil! The most docile out of all of them! He's not gonna hurt any of you! Didn't you listen to the broadcast?!"
"The public will say anything to not make everyone panic. You never know what those things are capable of. I'm surprised your friend hasn't killed you yet, although it's only a matter of time before he does." He pulled his knife out. "I'm doing you a favor."
Sebastian grabbed Joshua's clothes and cut them with his knife, stripping him to his bare chest. Joshua flinched and tried to kick him. "What the fuck is wrong with you?! You're disgusting!"
Seb didn't say anything. He only smirked. "I'll be rid of you soon, Nameless."
And so the torture began. Isaac could only watch and scream as Sebastian whipped Joshua, tearing open his skin, creating new scars that had already been healed. His screams and cries were in tune with Isaac's, creating a chorus of anguish. However, Sebastian kept on smiling, his mouth contorting into a crescent moon.
Brackish blood splattered all over the stone floor as Joshua continued to scream. If he could, he would break out of his chains and tear him to shreds, but he was too weak. He couldn't break out if he wanted to. Isaac tried to pull himself free, but the cuffs were worn tightly around his wrists. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't free himself.
A few hours later (How much time had passed? Isaac didn't know.), Joshua had become a bloodied mess once more. He was panting, even coughing a few times, but he still held his ferocious glare.
"Hm. You're a tough nut to crack. I'll admit, I expected you to be a bit more submissive. Well, you won't be looking at me with those eyes for very long." He pulled something out of his pocket. Isaac's eyes widened when he saw that it was a needle.
"What are you doing with that?! You already said you were interested in my pain, right?! Well, string me up! Let Joshua go! You can hurt me here! I'm already restrained!" He screamed.
"Why? You're an innocent civilian, Izzy. That would go against my code. We can't hurt humans. Besides, it's way too boring. Where's the fun in that? Why put my hands on you when I can do this to the one thing threatening humanity?" Sebastian plunged the needle into Joshua's bicep. "Now, I wonder what this will do to you disgusting creatures."
"NOOOOOO!!" Isaac roared, straining to the ends of his chains. His wrists threatened to pop out of its sockets, making him bite his tongue in pain.
Joshua hissed through his teeth as Seb depressed the needle. "Jesus shit fuck damn..."
"What did you give him?!" Isaac growled. Once he gets free, he was going to end this fucker's life.
"Digitalis. Sometimes it makes your heart beat too fast. Sometimes too slow. You never know until you try it. Let's see how you do with this small dose, Nameless." Sebastian walked away, slamming the door behind him.
Isaac's mind was racing. Digitalis. He remembered the effects it had on the human body from the very few times he paid attention in health class. It was like Sebastian said. It could cause arrhythmias in the heart, sometimes fatal ones. He had no idea what this drug could do to Cael devils like Joshua, but since he had regeneration, there was nothing to worry about, right?
Joshua began to droop, his feet slipping on the ground. "I... don't... feel so..... good.... Izzy...." He mumbled as he scrambled to keep his feet on the ground.
"Talk to me, Joshua. Tell me what's wrong. You're okay. You're going to be okay. I'm going to get us out of here."
"Mmmmm...." Joshua hummed as his eyes drooped closed. He struggled to stay awake, but he was so tired. And it felt like he couldn't get a good enough breath. His heart beat incredibly slow in his chest, the reduced blood flow to his brain making him light headed.
Isaac tried to keep him awake, telling him stories about their time as kids. How they would listen to rock albums and the different drugs they would try out. He saw him crack a smile a few times so he could tell that it was working.
Sebastian returned hours later. Joshua had mostly normalized, his heart beating closer to its regular speed. Isaac had kept him awake and talking, kept him awake through the fatigue, through the nausea, through everything.
"How was that? Did you relax a little, Nameless? Hmmmmm?" The hunter said as he pulled out another needle. "Maybe a bit more is what you need."
And before Isaac could scream in protest, Seb had injected Joshua once more. This continued for hours - days? - and Isaac was powerless. He could do nothing but watch. He couldn't do anything but talk Joshua through.
Sometimes, Joshua's heart pounded, his limbs shaking and sweating as he hyperventilated, unable to calm himself. Other times, he slumped over, losing his footing and crying out in pain as his heartbeat slowed.
And still, Isaac was powerless to do anything. He couldn't slip the cuffs. Couldn't hold Joshua up. Couldn't release him. Couldn't escape. Couldn't do anything except sit there and talk to him and pray that it would all stop.
He wished for Jessie to come through the door right this second. She was there for Joshua in his darkest moment. Surely, she would come for them this time, right?
"Inject me!" Isaac begged when Sebastian returned. "I'll let your poison run through my veins! Hurt me! Hurt me!!"
Sebastian only gave him a cruel smile. "Oh, but I am." He injected Joshua once more. "This will hurt the most, Isaac. I couldn't think of a better way to punish you. You make friends with dangerous creatures, you pay the price."
"You..." Joshua wheezed. "When I get out, I will end you..."
The hunter cupped Joshua's cheek briefly. "It will be over soon. For you, at least." He chuckled as he left the room.
"Joshua, talk to me. I'm here. Tell me what's going on."
"C-C-Can't. F-F-Fast." Joshua panted.
"Breathe. Just breathe." Isaac urged, trying not to let the concern creep into his voice. Joshua reacted faster this time compared to the other times. How much had Sebastian given him?
"H-H-Hurts...." Joshua gasped as his feet began to slip once more.
"It's okay. You're okay. You're going to be okay. Just stand up. I'll find a way out. Just hold on, Joshua. Hold on."
"Hhhhhnnnn.... Fwaaaaaaah...." Joshua huffed as he threw his head back. He took several gasping breaths of air, shifting his feet, trying desperately to keep upright. All the while, his heart continued to fumble in his chest, his body trying to counteract the high amounts of the poison.
Isaac could see Joshua's shoulders pull tight as he struggled to stay upright. "It's okay, Joshua. You'll be okay. You can do this. I'll get out of these cuffs, I swear! Just hold on for me! Please!"
With a loud gasp, Joshua dropped his head forward, eyes unfocused. His heart had entered a dangerous rhythm now. The stress and the poison was all too much for the Cael devil. His regeneration wasn't fast enough.
"Look at me, Joshua." Isaac urged. "I'm right here. Look at me! You're going to be okay! I'm going to get us out of here, I promise!"
Joshua slowly, painfully slow, turned his gaze to Isaac. His eyes were hazy and beginning to glaze over. His lips moved, but no sound came out. Nonetheless, it formed the words "I'm sorry."
"No, Joshua, stay. You have to stay, please!!" Isaac cried out as he watched Joshua sigh. He went limp in his chains, his head lulling forward, arms pulled tight above his head. His body swung on the chain slowly as his feet slipped out from under him.
"JOSHUA! JOSHUA, SAY SOMETHING! JOSHUA!! NO!! GOD, NO!! PLEASE!! JOSHUA!!!" Isaac screamed as tears ran down his face. He ducked low, praying that he was wrong. That Joshua was merely unconscious.
But as he stared into Joshua's half-lidded gaze and waited for his lungs to fill once more, Isaac's own heart seized in his chest. Because Joshua was still. So impossibly still as he swung. His chest was unmoving. The only movement within him was his heart quivering uselessly in his chest with nothing around him to restart it.
"NOOOO!! NOOOOO!!" Isaac screamed when he realized what had happened. "PLEASE GOD PLEASE!!"
"Music to my ears." Sebastian said as he entered once more. "Your pitiful, mewling cries of misery, Isaac. What a delight."
He stopped as he was even with Joshua. The hunter took the limp devil's chin with his thumb and forefinger and lifted. His lifeless eyes stared into nothing as Sebastian inspected his head.
"DON'T TOUCH HIM!!" Isaac screamed as he lunged forward, the cuffs pulling tight against his wrists, threatening to pop.
"What? It's not like it's not gonna hurt him anymore, Isaac. The nameless devil is dead. Just look!" Sebastian shoved Joshua so he swung out towards Isaac. His head lulled on his limp neck, arms pulled tight above his head. "This is your lesson. To not make friends with creatures beyond human comprehension. You should've left him in that house. You should've kept your mind intact that night."
Isaac shut his eyes tightly, unable to bear the sight of Joshua's body swinging on the chain. "Please don't touch him..."
Sebastian rolled his eyes. "You still don't understand, do you?"
He stopped Joshua's body from swinging further. He stared at his limp hands for a moment before unhooking the chain quickly. Joshua dropped in a heap on the floor.
"What are you going to do to him...?" Isaac sobbed as he stared at his friend.
"Me? Absolutely nothing." Sebastian said as he pulled the chain between the shackles on Joshua's wrists. "I'm going to do nothing except leave him right here." He dragged him closer to Isaac. Just out of reach.
Sebastian kicked Joshua until his body rolled on its side so that Isaac can look directly into his eyes. He sobbed harder as he stared into the empty eyes of his best friend. The person he swore to protect. The person he failed to save.
"I want you to look. Look at him for what he truly is. A disgusting creature that brings about the suffering of mankind. You should be thanking me, really. Imagine if your lady friend was here. She would've been thanking me for killing the devil that killed her sister. Hell, even that police officer would've been kissing the ground at my feet! Why aren't you thanking me? Why are you crying and acting like a baby?"
"He was nothing like them... He was far better than any of you... You're cruel... Far worse than any demon..." Isaac whispered.
"How am I cruel? I was trying to save you." He sighed. "Whatever. I'll leave you with him. Besides, this is a far better form of torture, don't you think?" He whispered as he leaned forward and cupped Joshua's cooling cheek. "Because this one lasts forever." And just like that, he left the room.
Forever.
That word rattled in his brain as he stared at Joshua, the tears refusing to stop. Sebastian said that he was doing him a favor by killing him. What favor? He could've killed any devil in the world. Hell, he could've gone after the most dangerous ones. But no, he had to go for Joshua who had done nothing wrong. He had done nothing to deserve any of this. The reversion, the Nightmare Sand Pit, all of it because he tried to exist as his own person.
Isaac made a pact with himself that night when he got him out. He would risk his entire life for that man. The person he had known since he was a kid. Even after the fight they had where he left him for dead, he still cared for him. After all the shit they've been through, he wanted to give him a normal life. But... as long as he was a devil, he will never be able to achieve that.
Never again will he hang out with him during their downtime. Never again will they go on these late night drives and get high. Never again will they listen to the newest rock album releases.
Never again will his presence bring Madeline joy, Leah peace and him comfort.
Never again will Jessie see her son alive and breathing again.
No.
No, this can't be right. None of this is right. He doesn't deserve to die.
There was a fire burning in his veins. A fire that he hadn't felt in two years. He knew what that feeling was.
Rage. Complete, uncontrollable rage. The kind of rage that didn't care who it had to hurt.
He began to pull against his binds again, this time, not caring if his hands would be torn out of its sockets. He had to get to Joshua. He had to get to him now!
He's dying! Do something!
His tendons were almost stretched beyond their breaking point, like when you stretch a balloon too much. An instinctual part of his brain was screaming at him to stop, but he didn't listen. All he had on his mind was Joshua. He occupied his mind.
There was a loud pop and Isaac screamed louder than ever before. The first thing he noticed was that one of his hands have begun to throb. His fingers were tingling and when he tried to move them, he could barely move them a couple centimeters. But there was a significant improvement in that he could now wriggle his hand out. He slipped out of one of the cuffs, gritting his teeth, trying to bite through the excruciating pain.
Joshua was still out of his reach so he tried to look for something to pick the lock or something to drag him closer to him. He spotted a rock lying a few feet away from him. He didn't care what the consequences are anymore. He could no longer think clearly.
Joshua. Joshua Joshua Joshua Joshua.
With his barely functional hand, he grabbed the rock, lifted it high in the air and slammed it into his other wrist onto the cuff. The metal cracked, but it still held. He continued hitting it again and again, the metal cracking more and more until it finally shattered. Isaac fell to his knees, almost landing on his injured wrist before he scrambled towards Joshua. Turning him onto his back, he slammed his fingers onto his neck, but even he knew he didn't have a pulse. Who knows how long he wasn't breathing for.
It could be too late.
No. He cannot think like that.
Finding the right placement on his sternum, trying to remember what he learned about first aid, Isaac started to pump his chest and oh god, it hurts! It hurts so much! He shouldn't be putting any pressure on his injured hand, but he didn't care. Nothing mattered to him at that moment.
"C'mon, Joshua... C'mon... Don't leave me..." He panted, tears streaming down his face from the pain. However, that was nothing compared to the fire roaring in his veins. Joshua didn't go through all this shit just for him to die from some crazy guy poisoning him.
Joshua's body shook, his eyes staring into nothing as he continued. Memories of him being covered in blood flashed in Isaac's mind, making him shudder. He wished he could be in his place right now, having the poison run through him so Joshua would be spared. But what would the others think? Leah wouldn't want any of them hurt in any way.
He could almost hear Joshua's voice in his head. "Don't let me die here."
I won't let you, Joshua. I won't let you die.
"Isaac?! Izzy, are you in here?!" A familiar voice echoed from outside.
"L-Leah?! I'm in here! Help me!!"
Leah and Madeline ran in a second later, both of them gasping when they saw the grisly scene. "JOSH!!" Madeline screamed.
"What happened?! How long was he out?!" Leah shouted as they ran to the two boys.
"F-F-Five... I think, minutes? One of the hunters... He injected him with something. D-Digitalis, I think. H-He's not dead! He's still warm! I can feel it!!" Isaac stuttered, trying not to cry out.
Madeline held Joshua's hand, covering her mouth as she tried her best not to sob. Leah looked and noticed Isaac's wrist looking deformed. "Oh shit, your wrist! H-Hold on! We got Jessie! She's right outside!" She turned to Madeline. "Madeline, help Izzy up! I'm gonna carry him outside!"
She nodded and tried to touch Isaac's shoulder. "Izzy-"
"NO!! I won't give up on him! He doesn't-"
"We're not giving up on him! You're too injured to continue! Jessie's gonna help us, okay?"
Isaac paused for a moment before stopping compressions. Only then did the pain truly set in for him. He gripped his wrist tightly as he tried to take deep breaths. Madeline helped him up to his feet as Leah lifted Joshua onto her back, hooking his still shackled arms over herself. The three of them ran out of the room, leaving behind the memories of Joshua's last moments.
A few minutes later, they were finally out. Minutes that should've been spent trying to revive him. They didn't encounter anyone, not even Sebastian. The place was eerily empty. None of it mattered. Joshua was the only thing that did.
Jessie was already helping Leah lower Joshua to the ground as Isaac and Madeline sat on the steps. "Jessie, do you have some ice?! Izzy's wrist looks really bad!"
"I have some in the trunk! Hurry!" She was already starting chest compressions with great fervor, sinking her hands deeper than Isaac. Everything was a blur as he watched. He barely felt the cold when Madeline pressed the ice packs to his hands. He barely heard Jessie shouting commands at Leah. All he could do was stare at Joshua's lifeless face.
He's gone. Oh god, he's gone. We were too late.
"Hey," Madeline squeezed his shoulder. "He'll be fine. He's gonna be fine."
"I-Is he...?"
"Yes. I'm sure of it."
How could she be so sure? Sure, he's dealt with worse, but his heart actually stopped. The worst case scenario actually happened. "W-What if we don't...?"
"We'll get him back, Izzy. We'll make sure of it."
Isaac said nothing else.
Leah had grabbed the AED and slapped the pads onto his chest. The machine monitored his rhythm and confirmed he was still in v-fib. "Shock advised."
"Alright, stay back!" Jessie commanded. Leah stepped back and she pressed the button. Joshua's body jolted, but it wasn't enough. Jessie started compressions again, feeling his ribs cracking a few times. It'll heal. She just needs her son to breathe.
A few more minutes of aggressive resuscitation passed. The two women didn't know if the CPR was doing anything. His grey skin made it hard to tell, but Leah swore she saw Joshua's fingers twitch a few times.
"Analyzing now. Stand clear."
Everyone stood back. Isaac held his breath.
"Shock advised."
The machine charged up.
"Stand clear. Push to shock."
Jessie pressed the button. Joshua's body jumped.
Everyone held their breath, waiting.
Joshua took a stuttering breath, his eyes fluttering closed.
"Josh!!" Madeline shouted in joy, tears running down her face.
"Thank god..." Leah whispered.
Isaac let his shoulders sag. He's okay. He's alright now.
"Hold on! His heart rate is too fast. We need to shock it back to a normal rhythm." Jessie said.
"But he's breathing again. Wouldn't that just hurt him?" Madeline asked.
"Sometimes, a fast heartbeat can cause the heart to stop again. Cardioversion is one of the ways to get the heart beating normally. There's also adenosine, but I don't have that. So this is the only way."
Leah nodded. Jessie tapped some buttons, then charged up the AED. "Okay, this is a lower shock so it won't hurt him as much." All eyes were on them as Jessie prepared to shock him.
God, I hope this works. Isaac thought.
Jessie pressed the button. Joshua jolted, a yelp of pain escaping him. The officer pressed her fingers to his neck. "Heartbeat's stable."
The tension that was there immediately eased. Jessie took the pads off and lifted him up. "Help me get him in the car."
Leah opened the door and Jessie carried him to the back seat. Madeline led Isaac to the car as the weight of the situation began to sink in.
He's alive. He's gonna be okay.
--------
Isaac and Joshua laid in their beds, knocked out from today's events. Isaac's wrist was bandaged up and put into a splint. According to Jessie, it'll take a while for it to completely heal. Unlike Joshua, Isaac doesn't have healing abilities so it'll be more tough for him.
"So what exactly happened?" Jessie asked.
"Well, we came home to the entire place being ransacked. We tried looking for Isaac and Joshua, but they were both gone. That's when Madeline found a note next to Lynnie."
Madeline nodded and gave it to Jessie. After reading the note, she asked "And did you follow his orders?"
"Yeah. We arrived at the location where this Bachman person was. We were prepared to give him all the information we had. But he just looked at us with a smirk on his face, like he had already won something." Madeline answered.
"Yeah. I asked him 'Why are you smirking like that? We already did what you asked so when can you let them go?' He just told me, 'There is no reason for that anymore.' That's when we realized. He never intended on letting Izzy and Joshua go. That letter was just a distraction so he could try to kill him. That's when we called you and went to the abandoned hotel." Leah explained.
Jessie pursed her lips together, her hands gripping the paper. That bastard tried to kill her son...
"I mean, I don't know what we expected, honestly. That guy was a devil hunter. Of course he would use trickery to delay the rescue!" She sighed. "But Joshua is safe now. We got to them just in time."
Madeline nodded.
"God, I can't believe this happened again... I thought we were already done with this." Jessie muttered.
Leah nodded her head. "Yeah. He was just getting comfortable with his identity too. No doubt that is a major setback."
Madeline held her hand. "But we'll help them get through it, right?"
"...Yeah. Yeah, we will."
--------
Your fault. It's your fault, Isaac.
"Stop..."
Joshua is dead because of you. You couldn't protect him.
"Stop it, please..." Isaac clamped his hands over his ears.
You're fucking pathetic. You couldn't even save his life. I knew you were pathetic, but holy shit, I didn't know you were that pathetic!
You shouldn't have left him in that house. You should've stayed with him. But you didn't and now he's gone.
The hateful gazes of Leah, Madeline and Jessie all pierced into his soul. All the people he failed... He failed all of them, but most importantly, he failed Joshua.
The Cael devil appeared in front of him, limp, cold and dead, his vacant eyes staring blankly at him.
"Please stop..."
His body began to bleed. His eyes melted and Luce appeared behind him, sewing Joshua's mouth shut. You could've done so much for him, but you didn't. You are pathetic. You are a coward and you always will be.
The voices began to blend, growing louder and louder and Isaac screamed.
'I'M SORRY!! PLEASE, MAKE IT STOP!!"
Isaac's eyes snapped open. Everything was blurry. He didn't know where he was. His heart was pounding and his chest was tight. Joshua... Joshua, I'm sorry. I'm sorry!
He tried to take deep breaths, but it was difficult. He felt like he was choking. The room began to feel small, constricting him. He couldn't stop shaking. He couldn't think. Couldn't think at all. His tongue felt like sandpaper. I'm sorry, Joshua. I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry
"Izzy? Are you okay?"
He whirled his head around, too fast. Any faster and he would've snapped his own neck. Joshua was sitting up in bed, looking at him concerned. His body felt hot and cold. He couldn't stop the tears that were pouring out.
It was... just a nightmare. Just a nightmare. Nothing to worry about so why am I crying? Joshua's fine so why the hell am I still crying?!
"I... I-I... N-Night..." He couldn't speak. Why can't he speak? "I-I can't... Can't..."
"H-Hey, look at me. Look at me." Joshua sat him up and rested his hands on his shoulders. "Just breathe with me. In and out, slow and steady, okay?" His fingers massaged his shoulders, grounding him to reality slightly. A few minutes passed of Isaac trying to copy his friend's breathing. His hands gripped the Cael devil's arms, feeling his frantic heartbeat. He's here. He's here. He's alright. We're okay.
Isaac rested his head against his chest, burying his face in his shirt. "I-I feel sick... I feel like I'm gonna vomit..." His tears soaked through the fabric.
"You're okay. We're fine. It's okay. Just keep breathing with me. You're doing great." He ran his hand up and down his back.
Isaac continued to breathe deeply as his heart rate slowed. He closed his eyes as he slumped over.
"Better?"
Isaac nodded. They both stayed in each other's arms for a while, Joshua running his fingers through Isaac's hair. "I'm... not really good at this type of thing so..."
"You're fine. You did good."
Joshua purred.
A long moment of silence passed. Isaac couldn't stop thinking about Sebastian and what he did to him. How he almost died in his arms. He could've died...
"I'm sorry..."
"For what?"
"I-I didn't do anything to help you. I tried, but I couldn't get out. You..."
"Hey, this isn't your fault. Besides, if you tried anything, I bet that guy would've hurt you."
"But you almost died because of me! If we hadn't uploaded that apology video-"
"Izzy. It's fine. I'm okay now. Everyone got here in time. It could've gone a lot worse."
Silence.
"What do you think is gonna happen?"
"I dunno. Probably try to deal with more of those black robed freaks."
"But what if they hurt you again? What if that Sebastian guy tries to hurt you again, only this time, I'm not here to help?"
"Don't worry." He pulled him close. "I'll make sure he won't."

My Hero Fantasy
Chapter Three
Content Warnings: swearing, slightly suggestive
Notes: Deku is Quirkless and no one speaks medieval.
Bakugo and Ojiro were currently heading to the camp, but also needed to take a detour. “What are we doing here?” Bakugo impatiently asks Ojiro, who was busy inspecting a set of footprints. “This dirt has been touched by acid. We must be getting close. Stay close, Bakugo.” Ojiro says in a hushed tone, following the path of the footprints. Bakugo begrudgingly follows.
After a while of tracking the prints, Bakugo trips a wire and the two were caught in a net suspended by trees. A group of seven individuals circle around them, all in hoods to cover their faces and identities. “Who are these punks?! I’ll kill them!” Bakugo yells, gripping tightly onto the net, trying to pry it open.
“Don’t try it.” One of the hooded figures says, the voice being feminine. She lifts up her hand, acid pouring from it. “I have good aim. Wanna see which Quirk is more affective? Yours or mine?”
Mina Ashido
(Quirk: Acid): This special power allows her to create corrosive liquid from her skin, with it being naturally resistant to the acid she produces.
With that threat, Bakugo backs down. “Mina, guys! It’s me! Please put us down.” Ojiro calls out to the group, who immediately shift moods. “Why didn’t you say so?” Ashido and most of the other hooded people pull off their hoods.
Eijiro Kirashima
(Quirk: Hardening): This special power gives him the power to harden any part of his body. The Quirk protects him from most physical threats.
Koji Koda
(Quirk: Anivoice): This special power allows him to communicate with and command animals through speech.
Rikido Sato
(Quirk: Sugar Rush): This special power allows him to multiply his strength five-fold for three minutes for every ten grams of sugar he ingests.
Mezo Shoji
(Quirk: Dupli-Arms): This special power grants him a set of arm-like tentacles adjacent to his arms that can transform into duplicates of his other body parts.
Hanta Sero
(Quirk: Tape): This special power allows him to eject adhesive tape from openings located on both of his elbows.
The last hooded figure uncovers a shred of fabric covering his stomach before a beam shoots out from it, cutting a rope of the net and now freeing Ojiro and Bakugo. “Glad to be of assistance, mon ami.” He finally takes off his hood.
Yugo Ayoyama
(Quirk: Navel Laser): This power gives him the ability to fire sparkly twinkling laser beams from his navel.
Ojiro brushes the leaves off of himself while Bakugo silently complains about a ‘broken’ arm. “How far is the camp from here?” Ojiro asks the group. “Not too far from here, bro!” Kirashima points a thumb behind him showing a makeshift path. “If we hurry, we can make it before nightfall.” The group put their hoods back up before guiding the two through the forest.
Izuku and the coven had already made it to the camp. Yauyorozu and Uraraka were busy setting up tents, Hagakure, Asui, and Jiro were searching for food, Izuku and Hirosa were setting up a fire in the center.
“Hirosa, can I ask you a question?” Izuku asks her, looking over to her. The two were carrying piles of wood to the campsite. “You just did, but go ahead.” She smirks to herself. “Well, you said that All Might is like a father to you. What’s he like? Like, actually like?” The two stop at the center of the campsite. “He’s awesome, almost exactly how he is when he’s out saving everyone. Even now that he’s-” she catches herself, looking over to Izuku, who was listening with interest.
“If I tell you something, can you promise me to keep it quiet? I’m only gonna tell you because he trusts me and I trust you.” Hirosa asks Izuku. “Not even my sister or Mother knows about it.” Izuku nods his head, curious. “He can’t use his power as much as he used to. He got into a fight five years ago with a dangerous villain.”
His power is anything but natural, he wasn’t born with it. It’s a sacred torch passed down from person to person. One person cultivates the power, and then passes it on to another. The next refines it and passes it on again. In this way, those crying out to be saved and those with brave and true hearts link to form a crystalline network of power. It’s his true power.
“He’s currently been in search of a successor to pass his power to, but that how the villains got him.” Hirosa explains to Izuku as they continue their way to the campsite. “He had his guard down.” After a moment of silence, Izuku speaks up. “Why didn’t he give you the power?” That question got Hirosa to chuckle. “My Quirk is incompatible with it. It would rip my body and break my mind. He also said that his Quirk with my Quirk would decrease my lifespan. He’s protecting me, I know that. Also, I don’t need it. I’ve made it here with my own Quirk.” Izuku smiles at Hirosa’s response. He didn’t see her Quirk firsthand, but knew it must be a powerful Quirk if it was incompatible with All Mights.
“Now, I have a question for you, Izuku.” The two lay the firewood in the center of the clearing before starting to light it. “I’ve never seen your Quirk. It wasn’t on your Provisional License. What is it?” Izuku’s face drops. I forgot to tell her I’m Quirkless. If she knew, she’d probably kick me out and send me home. Even worse, I might never see her again. What do I do?! “Izuku? Are you ok?” Hirosa waves her hand in front of his face.
“I’m completely fine! I don’t know why I paused like that! Holy smokes, we don’t have any food! I’m just gonna go over there and find some food for us! Thank you! Bye!” Izuku frantically yells before he runs out of Hirosa’s sight. “Where’s he going?” Hirosa hears Jiro from behind her. Turning, she sees Jiro with a dead boar. “I don’t know, but I hope he comes back soon. It’s getting dark.” Hirosa tells Jiro as the two set up the fire so the boar was cooking over it.
Izuku was only a few feet away from the camp, but he was far enough away from Hirosa. He lets out a heavy sigh. “I’m sorry, Hirosa.” He says quietly, hoping she doesn’t hear him. “I don’t want to look worthless to you.”
When you asked me and Kacchan to join you on your adventure to save your father, I knew I had to help you. I didn’t know you were saving All Might. I just wanted to help you. I spoke without even thinking. Now, with spending more time with you, I realize just how much your approval means to me. I want to be a Pro. Not just for me, but so I can always be by your side.
“Hey, Deku!” Izuku hears a familiar voice further into the forest. “Ah! Kacchan?! How did you get here?!” Izuku sees Bakugo and Ojiro with seven people he didn’t know.
“We guided him here.” Ashido says, pulling her hood down. “Now, we’re gonna help Kairi and Kyoka with dinner.” Ashido, along with Ojiro, Sero, Kirashima, Shijo, Ayoyama, and Sato, started making their way to the camp, helping the coven with dinner or to set up tents.
“So, what are you on about this time, Deku?” Bakugo was quieter than normal, but his tone was very evident. Izuku takes a breath before explaining. “I don’t know how to tell Hirosa I’m Quirkless. I want to help her find her dad, but I don’t know what might happen if-” “Deku, I don’t think she cares.” Bakugo cuts him off.
“Look, I didn’t tell her anything and I won’t. But you need to get over it. She doesn’t seem like the person to discriminate on someone because they’re Quirkless. So shut your mouth and let’s help her out.” With that, Bakugo heads to the camp, leaving Izuku alone. Well, almost alone. Koda was staring at him. “Woah! Sorry! I thought I was alone!” Izuku’s freak out lead to Koda freaking out.
Later that evening, everyone was sitting around the campfire, sharing dinner and talking about whatever came to mind. “So you can make explosions from your sweat?” Sero asks Bakugo, who responds by simply staring at him and showing off his Quirk. “Woah! So cool!” Sero gazed in aww.
“Momo, can I have a towel? I need to-” Hirosa starts, only to get interrupted by Momo creating one and handing it to her. “Here you go. Be careful. You never know what could be out there.” Hirosa takes the towel before heading into the forest. “Thank you, Momo.”
“We haven’t seen him in a while.” Hagakure says to Jiro. “Any news on him?” Jiro side-eyes Hagakure. “Well actually-” Jiro was cut off by the sound of rustling leaves. Jiro’s eyes narrow and everyone adverts their attention to the source of the noise. “You might as well come out. We know you’re there.” Jiro says aloud. After a moment, another young man walks out from the forest. “Sorry, haven’t seen you guys in a minute. Hopefully I’m not intruding.”
Denki Kaminari
Quirk: Electrification
This special power gives him the ability to charge in electricity and emit it out of his body as a sort of protective aura that electrocutes anyone through contact.
“Wait.” Uraraka’s eyes narrow. “If you’re here, than where’s-” Uraraka was cut off by a loud screech in the direction of where Hirosa had left. “Is she in trouble?!” Izuku shot up from his seat. “Oh no, she’s fine.” Ashido explains. “He might not be.”
After a few moments, Hirosa (wrapped up in the towel that Yaoyorozu gave her) holding a much shorter guy by an ankle. “Kaminari! Put a leash on your friend!” She glares at Kaminari. The guy in her hold starts thrashing against her hand. “I will not apologize for getting a sneak peek of your bo-"
Minoru Mineta
Quirk: Pop Off
This special power allows him to produce sticky spheres from his head that he can pluck painlessly.
“You shut up right now, Mineta!” Hirosa drops him to the ground before retreating into her tent to change. “You’re disgusting, man.” Kaminari’s eyes narrowed at Mineta. “You had to do that to All Might’s daughter? We made a deal not to mess with her.” “Trick Shot is All Might’s kid?!” Bakugo’s voice cut through a the campsite, even startling Hirosa in her tent.
“Kacchan, you didn’t know.” Izuku looks over to Bakugo, as well was everyone else. “So, you mean to tell me that we’re going to save All Might of all people?” Everyone slowly nods their heads. “Well damn! Maybe should have told me that beforehand, Teach!” Hirosa exits her tent, tying her dress back together.
After a while of everyone talking amongst each other, the group hears a yell in the distance. “Someone’s in trouble. Everybody, grab your weapons. We’ve prepared for this.” Yaoyorozu says to the group, who all quickly reacted. With weapons in hand the group head up the mountain where they heard the sound.

fatexbound:
There it is. The anger he had been withholding for so long finally started to show itself. He was furious at himself, at his cowardice, and that slight resemblance with Yosuke’s situation truly made this all the more worthwhile to watch.
Jiraiya chortled, watching as Sei’s feet were stuck to the floor because of that spell. “That’s right, dumbass. You did this. You hid everything about your past, and for what? To have a better life here and pretend to be someone else? Pretend that everything’s going well in your life?! You’re even worse than some of my old friends in the city! So, what’s it gonna be? You gonna fess up and let this stupid charade end?!” He was freezing his ass off in here, and he was getting tired of having his hands in his armpits.
It was hard maintaining his pose from before, but hopefully, his added insults would finally drive Sei to confessing his true feelings, and he could get out of this freezing hellhole. Now that he was starting to realize the truth, it should be an easy win.
He’d let his Shadow take care of the rest, but first, he added another question: “Oooor… do you have somethin’ more embarrassing to hide about yourself~?” He gave his usual smirk, wanting to see how this one will go. Perhaps he had enough of pretending.
He will see it for himself.
Sei ignore the other shadow taunts as he finally realize that truth of why the shadow brought him here. Hel could have just killed Sei from the spot, but this is something they need. Sei need this semi secluded moment between his fears and himself. He couldn’t even feel the upcoming tears from the bitter cold and seeing the ice is still crawling on his legs very slowly. Teeth chattering and yet he continues to speak out loud.
Warning lots of heavy subjects: Mention of Abuse, Toxic Parents, Anxiety
“I-I understand now.....When my father offered his mentorship of his business...I refused it and on top of that....I....I came out.....I came out and talked about a different career and...well...my identity as well. Both of them we’re there. I thought my father would understand, but...he wasn’t happy.”
Feeling an upcoming tear coming down on his face, but it froze on his cheek and eventually cracks away into frost. Sei was shaking from his anxiety and the ice. He looks down at the cane which is slowly covering in frost.
“My mother...Gave me the best life I could....despite her injuries from her accident, but...she.....defended me...My father he...hit her......s-so much..I...I thought it was my fault.”
He covers his face and breaking into a sob. His emotions is going out of control, this poor boy has been holding this for so long.
“They brought me here....for a new start.....I tried to call my mother, but my father cut off the connection....and I ....decided from then on....to continue to hide from who I truly am...I.....God...I am so sorry.....Everyone....I shouldn’t have pushed away help.....I.......”
As Sei keeps rambling about his broken mess of a confession.
....The ice stopped.
‘You have built so many walls Sei Nakagawa...You have finally embrace your truth.’
Looking back up at the Shadow with tears and wiping it away with a nod. “Yes....I have....and I have kept away from my grandparents...and even clients who have been so welcoming to me. I....understand....now....I am sorry this took so long.”
“Now I know....that you are me and I am you. In the end, this was all my doing.”
The Shadow takes a deep breath and let’s it go as it turns back into the meek shell of a human like form.
With a nod of agreement as Hel faded into it’s persona form, It was well the same form. Grey ash skin, silver hair and blue eyes and as the blue aura fades away into a sparkling light. A card appeared and it has a certain skull design and a door, it was indeed the symbol of Death.

Daughter of wonderwoman au where marinette finds out her mother is actually Diana and somehow it ends up with her meeting/being introduced to the batfam maybe because she has super strength and is seen yeeting some bad guys who tried to mug her... Or something.
“... you are running from your problems, Mari,” Adrien’s exasperated voice reminded his best friend. Again. She ignored him, and he threw his hands up in exasperation. “Look, you don’t have to do anything about it! Nobody would hold it against you if you decided to just, ignore that you found anything out at all. But you need to actually think about what we just found out and decide whether or not you’re gonna do anything—“ he side-stepped a piece of trash that went flying in his direction. “—or if you’re gonna move on and pretend nothing happened.”
“Isn’t that what I’m doing?” Marinette shot back, pushing her bangs out of her face and tying her hair back with one hand.
“No, you’re currently hiding away in Gotham to avoid your parents while you beat up every random group of idiots who thinks you’re an easy mark,” he retorted. Another wannabe kidnapper went flying in his direction, making him sigh and side step again. She had thrown that one with only her one free hand, showing just how upset she was. “You’re ignoring everything in your life, which is not what we meant we said you should get a little space.”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” Marinette dropkicked the last criminal into unconsciousness before stepping back and putting her hands on her hips. She looked over at the now seven passed out men in the alleyway, and the one very frustrated ex-model pinching the bride of his nose. “I think I’m coping just fine.”
“It’s better than being forced to suppress all of your emotions, sure,” Adrien reluctantly agreed. “But not by much. Your angry rampage through Gotham has already attracted more attention,” he raised his hand to point at a nearby rooftop. Several shadows lurked there, looming over the building’s edge. “Which, might I add, is exactly why I told you not to come to Gotham.”
“You’re the one who followed me here,” she shot back before turning to the shadowy figures above them. “Go ahead and come down! But it was self defense, and you can’t arrest or beat me up for defending myself!”
The first figure to drop down straightened your just as quickly, revealing the imposing figure of none other than Batman himself. The little white eyes on his cowl seemed to narrow on their own as he looked down at her.
“That might be true, but I’m sure you know my policy on metas in my city,” he grumbled back at her. He wasn’t necessarily threatening, but he definitely wasn’t welcoming either. With all of his limbs hidden behind the cocoon that was his cape, Marinette would never be able to predict his next move if he did decide to fight. Not that she seemed particularly worried about that as she crossed her arms over her chest and met his glare evenly.
“Oh, do you own this city now? I wasn’t given the memo,” she retorted. “And considering I didn’t even know I was a meta until last week? I think I deserve a little slack. I’m angry and if people think the tiny little girl in pink is an easy kidnapping target, then it’s their fault for making themselves into the perfect practice dummies for me to try out my newly discovered strength on.”
Adrien saw the eyes on Batman’s mask narrow even further. Marinette wasn’t exactly at her most charismatic at the moment, and Adrien didn’t wanna get the both of them into a bad relationship with the experienced superhero who always seemed to know things he shouldn’t know. So he stepped up quickly, getting in between Marinette and the Bat and holding his hands up in a placating gesture.
“Okay, Monsieur Batman,” Adrien started slowly, making sure his posture was impeccable and his smile bright. “She’s telling the truth, even if she’s not... the most tactful about it right now. She just found out some very concerning things about her origin and Gotham is the best place for her to hide from her problems and let loose a little pent up aggression. But— well,” he grimaced. “We didn’t intend to run into you guys, but maybe it’s a good thing we did.”
“How so?” Batman was clearly still incredibly suspicious of the both of them and wasn’t giving an inch. So Marinette rolled her eyes (she was still very moody) and leaned around Adrien so she could get a good look at the monochromatic hero.
“I thank my lucky spots that we ran into you, Batman!” She said monotonously. “Me and Adrien are paw-sitively excited at this opportunity.”
Batman. Froze.
Not only were those two lines the very first lines ever spoken to him by two foreign heroes a few years ago (with a few key words changed to protect identities), but they had become their code phrase for whenever they made calls to one another outside of their costumes. All at once it seemed to hit him— the golden hair and bright green eyes on the boy, the blue-black hair and normally super-focused bluebell eyes on the girl that were currently sporting very uncharacteristic frustration. Their heights. Their builds. All of this info flowed through his mind and compared to the information stored in his memory, and it only took the span of two seconds for everything to click.
Suddenly Batman was at full attention, back straight instead of looming over them and eyebrows clearly raised high under his cowl.
He knew Chat Noir and Ladybug would never take a random vacation to Gotham. Ladybug herself had nearly waxed poetic about how much the city depressed her just from the pictures she saw online. If she had willingly come to visit, it was more than to just blow off some steam.
“Batcave?” He asked, earning a relieved look from Adrien and a moody silence from Marinette.
“Please,” Adrien agreed. “You can probably help us, actually.”
—*—*—*—*—*
Marinette leaned back in the metal debriefing chair, legs up on the table and looking for all the world as the picture of pure teenage rebellion and angst. Coincidentally, Red Hood was in the exact same position in the chair next to her.
Batman and all of his other bats and birds were in the cave with the two off-duty Parisian heroes. Everyone except Adrien and Marinette still had their masks on, since the two Parisians were still not privy to their identities. Yet.
To be fair, the bats hadn’t known the identities of the two miraculous users either before today.
“Cha Noir,” Batman started, only to get a head shake from the blond boy.
“Just call me Adrien. Chat’s out of the bag—“ he ignored the groans at the pun and soldiered on, “—so might as well use my real name.”
Batman nodded. “Adrien, then,” he amended. “Why are you and Ladybug really in Gotham?”
Adrien sighed. “I wasn’t lying, before. Marinette,” he gestured to his hero partner. “Just found out some distressing family news. Since HawkMoth is gone, she doesn’t need to repress her negative emotions anymore. But she also didn’t want to be around her parents while she processed everything. I told her to choose any other city— really, I begged— but she insisted on coming to Gotham.”
“The never ending cloud cover and constant rain seem thematic,” she finally spoke up, reaching into her big over-the-shoulder bag and pulling out a large envelope. She threw it to Batman, making the thin package slice through the air like a knife. To nobody’s surprise the seasoned hero easily caught the projectile between two fingers. He looked at the envelope and back to Marinette, silent questions floating in the air between them. Marinette decided to answer at her own pace.
“That’s what we found out. You see, one of my friends is a huge science nerd. A genius. And he wanted to compare DNA samples between us to see if there were any genetic components that determined a person’s suitability towards certain Miraculous or other magical artifacts over others. It was supposed to just be a fun side project that he didn’t expect any breakthroughs on. He mostly just wanted to satisfy his own curiosity. But instead of finding out if our DNA was linked to the miraculous, he found out that my parents are not biologically my parents.”
“Hence the whole just finding out that you’re a meta thing, right?” Nightwing spoke up, fully invested in the story. “Did they never say you were adopted before?”
“It’s not in the system,” she replied easily. “My parents have all the documentation to prove that I’m their biological child, except I’m not. When I confronted them about it, they caved and admitted that they had adopted me in secret and covered it up. Apparently a friend of theirs was involved in something illegal, and,” she waved at the envelope that Batman was now opening. “The details of what we were able to dig up are in there. The summary is this; their friend was part of a secret, illegal experimentation to create clones that could defeat the Justice League—“ the air seemed to get sucked out of the room as soon as those words left Marinette’s mouth. Everyone seemed to know exactly what she was talking about. “—a group called CADMUS. They made me, as apparently one of their early attempts. But I didn’t exhibit any of the powers they were looking for, or any meta traits at all, and my body refused to mature at the rate they wanted. They had no use for a seemingly normal human baby that they managed to clone, so they were preparing to kill me and start over. That’s when my parent’s friend stole me, not wanting to kill an infant, and begged my parents to take me in and pretend I was theirs. Low and behold, it turns out that my DNA just needed a very specific series of emotions to unlock it’s latent abilities.”
“Those emotions being..?” Red hood trailed off, earning a wolfish smile from Marinette.
“Intense anger, betrayal, and confused frustration closely followed by the desire to punch other people’s faces in.”
“That last one is just an assumption,” Adrien chimed in. “And maybe not accurate. But the first three, our scientist friend was able to confirm. The rapid experience of a lot of negative but action-oriented emotions released whatever had been holding back the powers in her DNA from expressing themselves,” he had switched to French so that he could explain everything exactly as Max had told it to them, but he knew all of them were fluent anyway so it was fine. They nodded along, processing the information.
The crinkling of paper drew everyone’s attention back to Batman, who had been flipping through the detailed break down of everything they had found about Marinette’s situation and how she was made by CADMUS.
“Uh,” Red Robin nervously spoke up. “What’s up, Batman?”
“Your genetic donors...” Batman breathed, getting a wink and finger guns from Marinette.
“Yup. Isn’t that just the most fucked up thing you’ve ever seen? They were clearly trying to make someone who could destroy the world.”
“That makes me nervous,” Nightwing admitted, getting up and going to get a look at the papers himself. “It can’t be that ba—“
When even Nightwing was left agape, everyone else who wasn’t in on it found themselves squirming.
“Just tell the rest of us, already!” Robin demanded after the silence stretched just a bit too long.
“The unknowing genetic donors that CADMUS used to make me,” Marinette spoke up, still with her legs up on the table. “Are a very mad-scientist’s-wet-dream combination of Lex Luthor, Bruce Wayne, and Wonder Woman.”
“We don’t even know why they added Bruce Wayne’s DNA,” Adrien admitted. “Although our scientist friend thinks it’s because of physique. His hypothesis is that, in order to support the genes of Wonder Woman, they had to add male genetics that could support the production of a very high muscle mass and would lean towards easy development of a very athletic body. Lex might be evil-scientist smart, but he’s a string bean. But if he added the DNA of another multi millionaire who just so happens to maintain a ridiculously fit body without putting any obvious work into it,” Adrien shrugged. “Then maybe the clone would be able to support Wonder Woman’s genetics and that of two human donors without falling apart.”
“So I’m ‘the clone’ now, huh?” Marinette snarked, earning an exasperated eye roll from her friend.
Batman just stared at the both of them for a moment. He walked away without a word, and came back with a fresh needle and a box. He placed it on the debriefing table.
“Can I do a paternity test myself?” He asked, his voice suspiciously less gruff than normal. “I trust the both of you, but I rather be safe than sorry with something like this.”
The both of them just stared at him in confusion. They traded a glance, and finally Marinette shrugged and moved to sit in her chair properly. Her shirt was already short sleeved, so she just held her arm out so Batman could easily get a blood sample.
“Sure, why not. But do you just have Lex Luthor or Bruce Wayne’s DNA sitting around to compare, or—“ she shut up when she watched Batman take off his glove and roll his own sleeve up. Realization slowly sunk in as he asked Nightwing to take a blood sample from him.
“Holy shit,” she breathed, eyes wide. “You’re— and Luthor doesn’t know— holy shit this is even worse than I thought,” Marinette rambled, not even noticing as Red Hood moved forward and took a small blood sample from her.
Adrien put a hand over his face and just laughed for a moment hysterically. “Oh my god,” he looked over at Marinette. “You could take over the world.”
“I have the blood of Batman AND Wonder Woman on MY side,” Marinette joked back, also hysterical.
When the bat’s high tech equipment was able to come back with a positive result only a few minutes later, Marinette and Adrien had to sit on the floor and just let it all sink in. Which Batman did not at all help by immediately unmasking himself and trying to make a proper introduction.
“I wanna go beat up random thugs again,” Marinette whined, pulling at her hair. “I’ll put on a mask, whatever, but just please let me punch people. I need to punch people right now.”

We’ve all been wearing masks for the last few years to prevent the spread of covid-19 and still could recognize each other, or at least the people that we saw daily, and yet no one has addressed superhero masks that cover like their eyebrows and the bridge of their nose. By those half mask standards, I have a secret identity too. We all do. Except the Karens who wouldn’t wear masks. They’re the villains who want attention from the media. #artimitateslife #andlifeimitatesart
But like seriously, superhero masks are something we should just call plot holes by 2020 after the coronavirus mask mandates. Just think about the whole love square in Miraculous Ladybug. Listen, Marinette, if I can recognize my crush when the bottom half of their face is covered then you should be able to recognize Adrien in what is essentially a pair of sunglasses. Guess you haven’t longingly stared into his eyes as much as the show would have us believe.
There’s also Steve not recognizing Bucky on the bridge before his muzzle fell off (though I will give him a break because his bf HAD been dead for over seventy years to his knowledge) so from now on I will be imagining that the Russos just forgot to show us Steve’s inner monologue of “isn’t that Bucky?? No Bucky is dead :( wait but what if it is Bucky?? I mean Coulson came back. And Loki. Loki has come back many times. Wait okay no I think I’d recognize that icey blue glare from decades away, that’s the Bucky look for ‘Steve I told you not to do the thing why did you do the thing I’m gonna kill you’ except this time he’s actually trying to kill me,,,, oh is hIS MASK FALLING OFF oh is that his mask there on the ground oH I KNEW IT WAS “Bucky??”
And I know people have talked about why it actually would make sense that the lack of glasses would make it hard for the world to know that Superman is Clark Kent but I’m gonna bring this one up anyways because guys we can all recognize one of our coworkers without their glasses on there is NO WAY that Lois Lane a woman who’s PROFESSION is deduction of events which she then reports to the general public cannot recognize her coworker in a costume. If you saw the lady who works at the front desk in a cheerleader outfit you’d still know it was her, but Lois can’t for some reason do the same with Clark?? She does her journalism all day with her right hand man Clark by her side RIGHT UP UNTIL she reports on Superman (which she does quite often, might I add) who is just Clark in spandex and No Glasses™️ and you’re telling me that this lady has no idea they’re the same person??? She works with one of them all day and then is gazing at reporting on the other one the rest of the time and has no idea??? Also I get that Clark is the alias and he’s actually Superman the man from Krypton which is why he makes less effort to conceal his face as Superman because that’s him and Clark covers up with glasses because it’s a clever plot device to show which one is his true self, but can we talk about how he MAKES LESS EFFORT TO CONCEAL HIMSELF AS SUPERMAN AND YET ALL THE PEOPLE HE KNOWS AS CLARK STILL DO NOT KNOW HE IS SUPERMAN???
I’M OFFICIALLY COMING FOR ALL COMIC BOOK ARTISTS, DIRECTORS, ANIMATORS, AND PRODUCERS WHO DON’T COVER THEIR CHARACTERS ENTIRE FACE AND PRETEND THEIR IDENTITY IS STILL IN TACT. IF THE PANDEMIC HAS PROVEN ONE THING ITS THAT IF YOU KNOW A FACE YOU KNOW THAT FACE AND HALF A MASK DOES NOT CHANGE THAT SEND TWEET

The Last Chthonian
Bucky x Reader, Sam x Reader, Zemo x Reader
Part 1
Author’s Note: Had this idea living in my head rent free so hopefully I don’t butcher it.
Summary: Imagine being Hekate, the Greek goddess of magic and witchcraft, the night and the moon, doorways and crossroads, creatures of the night, and ghosts and necromancy. You stumbled upon Earth many centuries ago and since then have resided on the foreign planet. During the recent years you created an alias for yourself to hide your true identity, and after the war against Thanos you chose to live out your days in the Scottish countryside, until a certain trio appear at your doorstep one day.
Warnings: language
Part 1 , Part 2
“So, where are we going again?” Bucky asked Sam, confusion written on his face as he leaned back in the front passenger seat of the car.
“You’ll find out. We’ll be there soon.” Sam answered, his eyes glued to the road and hands gripping the wheel.
“But we’ve been driving in the middle of nowhere for an hour now.” Bucky fussed while staring at the never ending green grass that passed by, clearly irritated with Sam’s lack of details.
“I too would like to know where we are going.” Zemo spoke up only to add to Sam’s annoyance.
“YOU don’t get to ask questions.” Sam glared at Zemo through the rear view mirror before staring back at the road. He was starting to get fed up with their questions and lack of patience.
The three men had been driving with their windows down for what felt like hours through the Scottish countryside, watching the green highlands pass by. Though they admired the beauty of the landscape, they were extremely anxious to stretch their legs and get to their unknown destination. Not to mention, they were starting to get a little hungry as well.
“Are we there yet?” Bucky broke the silence after some time.
“We get there when we get there.” Sam snapped, his knuckles turning white from gripping the wheel a bit too hard. He was really looking forward to getting out of the car and away from those two.
After a short while they neared a small seaside village. The place was not that busy, save for the few locals and fishermen going about the cloudy day.
Sam drove on a little further before finally reaching a quaint stone cottage that sat on a hill at the edge of town, overlooking the ocean. He pulled up next to the 60s convertible cream colored Volkswagen Beetle that had a surfboard tied on the roof, parked next to the cottage. Sam took the keys out of the ignition and stepped out, stretching his legs as the others followed suit.
Sam smiled to himself as he walked up the path leading to the front door and glanced upon the flower garden and the decorations out front. He knew for sure this was your place. The other two quietly followed behind while looking around the residence, from the neatly kept garden and the vines that crawled along the house, to the fishing equipment hung up on the side, down to the handmade birdhouses and the wind chimes and sun-catchers that clinked melodically against the ocean breeze, including the collection of garden gnomes. The place reminded the men something straight out of Jane Austen’s novels, not that they’d like to admit they knew such a thing.
Sam stopped at the front door before turning to the others with a pointed finger. “Now whatever you do, don’t stare.”
“Wait what?” Bucky scrunched his nose.
“Just don’t.”
Sam paused for a moment, thinking of how to explain this situation to you before tapping on the wooden door. No answer. Sam could feel Bucky glaring at the back of his head, ready to scold him about how this was a big waste of time. So he knocked again, this time calling out if any one was home.
Before Bucky could open his mouth there was rustling coming from inside and the sound of someone knocking into furniture before a faint “ow” and “fuck” of a woman’s voice made Bucky and Zemo glance questioningly at each other. Where the hell did Sam lead them to?
The locks on the door were fumbled with before opening up to reveal your head poking out from behind.
“Sam?” You breathed out. You were slightly out of breath and your hair was disheveled with strands falling out of your bun at the front from under your silk scarf. The sleeves of your button up blouse were rolled up at your elbows, revealing your dirt covered arms. You were working on your vegetable garden in the back before you were interrupted by your unexpected visitors.
Bucky stood behind Sam and couldn’t help but widen his eyes when he saw you. He only met you a few times during the threat of Thanos and before, but the interactions he had with you were very brief. All he knew was that you were a good friend of the Avengers, especially Thor, Clint, Nat, Wanda, Tony and Steve and now apparently Sam. But after Thanos was defeated you disappeared and nothing was heard of you since.
Zemo glanced out from behind Bucky and tried to remain hidden behind the super soldier once he recognized your face. You weren’t exactly an Avenger and you weren’t on Earth when he tore the Avengers apart, you were helping Thor at the time and little to everyone’s knowledge, you were also defending your planet against an inside threat. But you had heard of him through your friends, and though you hadn’t met him, Zemo knew you would strangle him once you spotted him.
“Hey y/n.” Sam smiled at you, calling you by your alias name. He knew who you were through Steve, but even then, he didn’t know everything about you and about the recent events that took place in your home planet that still devastated you.
“What the hell are you doing here?” You asked with a mixture of surprise and annoyance, wiping your hands on your apron. There was a reason you chose to live all the way out here, and though you gave Sam your new address, you didn’t expect him to bring company.
“I came to see how you were doing?”
“Bullshit.” You scowled, crossing your arms over your chest. “If you wanted to check up on me you wouldn’t have brought someone.”
Sam opened his mouth to speak but decided against it, refused to meet your stern eyes and looking down at the ground instead with his hands in his pockets. He often forgot how well you were able to read people, almost as if you were telepathic. Little to his knowing, you were in fact a telepath but decided against telling him. You’ve known people who became uncomfortable when finding that detail about you and noticed how they tried to avoid you, constantly guarding their thoughts when around. If only they knew you never bothered to do such a thing because you respected their privacy and because you’ve seen things in people’s heads you wished to forget. You’ve only ever used your telepathy when it was absolutely necessary. Straightening up, you finally took a better look at the other man behind him and instantly recognized him as Bucky.
“Barnes?”
“Hi y/n.” Bucky smiled shyly at you as he looked into your eyes. And that’s when he noticed for the first time that your eyes were different from when he last saw you. Your irises were now a shade of purples and blues with flecks of gold that spread out, a reflection of the stars and the universe. So that’s what Sam meant when he said to not stare. But could you have just been wearing contacts? Bucky’s stare was cut short as Sam noticed, glaring at him and clearing his throat before elbowing him in the stomach.
Suddenly, there came the sound of a little girls squeals coming from inside your home, startling the men except for Sam. And before they knew it, a small girl in overalls who looked to be of 6 years of age sprinted through your legs and out the door. “Uncle Sam!”
“Oof! Athena wait!” You gasped against the impact as you tried to reach for her.
“Hey hey little Athena!” Sam smiled as he picked the excited girl up into his arms before setting her on his hip. “How’s my favorite little warrior?”
“I’m helping Mommy with the garden! See!” She squealed in delight before showing off her dirty hands.
“I can see that.” Sam chuckled. “Looks like you’ve been working hard.”
“God, I’m so sorry Sam. She’s covered in dirt.” You tried to apologize with an embarrassed face.
“Hey no worries.” Sam smiled at you. “Some dirt is not gonna kill me.”
“Mommy who’s this?” Athena questioned as she looked at the man next to Sam.
You looked at Bucky and gave him a look that questioned what name he would prefer, to which he nodded and mouthed Bucky to you.
“That’s Bucky sweetie.”
“Hi Bucky! I’m Athena!” She stuck her tiny hand out to for him to shake, a big grin plastered on her face from meeting new people.
“It’s very nice to meet you Athena.” Bucky smiled as he gently shook her hand, making her giggle.
The scene made you smile to yourself as you pushed a strand of your hair behind your ears. Maybe it wasn’t so bad that Sam and Bucky decided to pay a visit.
“Mommy who’s the man in the back?”
The man in the back? You looked to Sam and James with a raised brow before craning your neck to see who the third guest could be, only to tense up and clutch the door frame, forcing yourself to not go over there right now and throw him off a cliff.
“What the hell is he doing here?” You glared daggers at Zemo as he watched you with caution, before you turned to Sam.
“I can explain.” Sam tightened his jaw as he saw your expression.
“Athena, sweetie.” You turned to your daughter with a gentle smile. “I want you to go up to your room and clean up okay?”
“Okay mommy.” Athena looked back at you with a worried look as Sam set her down.
You caressed her head as she walked in, watching her go up the stairs and waiting for the sound of her bedroom door to close and her shower to turn on before shutting the front door behind you.
“Are you out of your goddamn minds?” You glared at the two, trying to not yell, your fists balling up in anger. “What in the three hells is going on?”
“Look y/n. He might be of some use.” Sam tried to explain.
“So you broke him out of prison?!”
“Well technically he got himself out.” Bucky rubbed the back of his neck. He was starting to think that this wasn’t such a good idea and felt guilty for coming here.
“Oh? So what? He magically decides to join your little boy band? The Wakandans are after his ass in case you haven’t noticed.”
“Look I get it. Working with Zemo sounds like a terrible idea and you have every right to be upset. We just need a place to lay low for now. Just...hear us out.” Sam responded with a pleading look.
You stood there with a hand on your hip, squeezing your eyes shut while you pinched the bridge of your nose, not even caring that you still had dirt on your hands.
“Please y/n.” Bucky spoke up, making you look up at him. “Sam wouldn’t come here if he didn’t know what he was doing.”
You looked between the two, rubbing your chin in contemplation as you thought everything over. Bucky was right. Sam would never try to purposely put you in harm’s way.
“Fine.” You breathed out. “You can stay for the night. But you are going to tell me everything. Every last detail.”
“I promise.” Sam looked to you as he placed a reassuring hand on your shoulder.
“Well come on then. Get in.” You nodded your head towards the door as you opened it, letting Bucky and Sam in before putting yourself in front of Zemo and blocking him with a threatening look while speaking in a cold tone. “I swear to the gods, if you so much as try anything, I will bury you alive in my backyard and use you as fertilizer to grow fungi.”
“Y/n what the fuck.” You heard Sam utter from inside.
Zemo gave you a bewildered look and decided to keep quiet as you stepped aside to let him in, watching him closely as he went in. You stuck your head outside again, looking around for any bystanders and making sure the men were preoccupied before muttering something in Ancient Greek, waving your hand around and moving your fingers in specific gestures as a clear glass like film covered the area around your home for protection. You did another once over before going back in and closing the front door, readying yourself for the conversation you would have with Sam and Bucky.

His Home - Bakugou Katsuki
Bakugou x f!reader
Warnings: Angst, Fluff, Injury, Blood, Sexual harassment, implied rape, murder, NOT SPELL CHECKED
BAKUGOU’S MASTERLIST
Request: So could you write a husbandbakugo x wifereader where when bakugou is away on a mission or anything, there's a villain who break into his house and kidnapped her (the reader is not a hero). And please be a happy ending :) but the rest is up to you💕
It’s been 2 weeks. 2 weeks too long for Katsuki and his family. Pro Hero Dynamight had been recruited on a mission to stop a drug dealing case out in the states, leaving his beloved son and loving wife behind. Even though Y/N wasn’t a pro herself, she could still take care of herself really well, including their baby boy. After constant reassurance that they’d be fine, Katsuki was okay with leaving for a few days.
A few days. A few days, NOT WEEKS. He had been gone for too long. Of course he trusted his wife to protect herself and their son, but he didn’t want her to have to protect them. After arguing with the chief of the mission, coming to a conclusion, and stopping the entire case himself in desperation of getting home, Dynamight could finally return home to his family. At least....that’s what he thought.
Bakugou drove home quite quickly in hopes of being smothered with love and affection from his son and wife, but as he pulled in, he noticed something was...... off. The porch light wasn’t on, it was too early for the lights in the house to be off, and even the cold chilly air stilled in silence gave him all the indications of something being in distraught. He quickly exited his car and slammed the door shut, forgetting to lock the vehicle as he hurriedly jammed the house key into the lock and busted the door wide open.
“Y/N!....Y/N?!....Katsuo??!” The blonde cried out. When his eyes finally settled to the dark atmosphere, he noticed how the bright moon lighted the house to show the terror that lay in. Glass and plates smashed on the grown, shelves and book cases thrown around, the T.V fallen from above the fireplace that had soot, ash, and stray wood surrounding it. He looked over and saw the couch out of place and on it, his unconscious child covered in scratches. Katsuki quickly ran to him to check on his poor boy.
“Katsuo,” the older blonde exclaimed as he shook his double awake, “please, wake up! Katsuo!” With a final shake, the child finally began to open his eyes and adjust to what he saw. A shadow of a man shaking him.
“Ahhh! Please, please don’t hurt me! Please! I didn’t do anything!” The younger blonde cried out and hugged himself in fear. Katsuki’s heart broke seeing his son in such fear. Who the hell did this to his poor boy.
“Katsuo! No, no, no, no, no. It’s me, it’s dad.” Katsuki reassured his son as he rubbed his back to calm him down. Katsuo turned to the man with teary eyes in shock and relief.
“Dad?” The boy questioned as he got a better look. Once he confirmed it was his father, he jumped into his arms.
“Dad! It’s you!” The boy sobbed into his father’s chest. Katsuki grabbed onto the boy, hugging him tighter as if the world was going to end, as he whispered reassurance into his ear.
“It’s me buddy, it’s me. Are you okay? Are you hurt? Who did this to you?” Bakugou asked as he examined his son’s body. The young blonde had his gray sweats teared, his white socks covered in soot and stains of blood along with his white tee.
As the child wiped his eyes, and looked at his father, he apologized.
“I’m sorry, dad.” The boy looked down in shame. Bakugou was so confused. What could his child be apologizing for at a time like this?
“I wasn’t strong enough.”
Oh, why did his son have to be exactly like him. Katsuki had to hold him once more to tell him it was all okay.
“Katsuo, none of this is your fault.” Bakugou said while holding onto his precious child.
“...These 3 men..they came in with a briefcase and said they wanted to “get something to trade.” They broke open the door as me and mom were watching T.V and told us to go with them. Mom put up a good fight, and I tried to help. I used my quirk to blow up the case they brought with them. After that though, the knocked me out. I see mom is gone, so they must’ve taken her and left me behind. I’m sorry I couldn’t do anything else.” The younger blonde said in shame once more.
“Katsuo....I’m so proud of you.” With those words, Katsuo looked up to his father in confusion.
“You’re 5 years old and you took great action to protect yourself and your mom. Not a lot of kids could do what you just did. I’m proud of you, and I’m so glad you’re okay son.” Bakugou said. His child finally showing a smile with a face identical to Katsuki’s and E/C eyes that replicated yours.
“Thanks dad.” The young boy said as his father picked him up.
“Of course. You’ll be an incredible hero in the future. The best of the best. I know it.” Bakugou said as he carried his son to the bathroom. “Let’s wash you up, change your clothes and get you to bed. You had a long night.”
“But what about mom? Shouldnt we go look for her.” Katsuo said in worry.
“Of course we will son. I will do everything in my power to bring her home to us as quickly as possible. That’s a promise, but right now, my priority is making sure everything is straight here at home. You’re mother is the strongest person I know, she will be okay, but I have to take care of you first. Okay?” Bakugou explained.
“Okay dad.”
——————————————————————————
When Katsuo was washed up and tucked in bed, Katsuki went downstairs to clean up and fix whatever he could. When he finally saw the horrible sight, terrible thoughts came to mind of what could’ve went down. The longer he thought about it, the closer he was to tears. Y/N and Katsuo are his entire life. If one of them were gone, it would throw his entire being all out of wack. But he had faith in his powerful wife. She can withstand anything they throw at her....but he wasn’t sure how long. Bakugou began to sweep the glass and soot, throw away the broken wood, mop the floors of blood, put the couch and coffee table back into place, and moved the T.V to the side. That could be fixed in the morning. Once he was done, he took a shower and headed to his room for bed.
The Alaskan king sized bed was huge. It was giant, especially for just 2 people and the occasional child, but the love of his life was always right next to him to make the cold, empty bed feel warm and full of love and happiness. Now she’s not here. As Bakugou lays with his eyes open, staring at the ceiling, he realized he wouldn’t be able to sleep. He journied out of his bed and to his son’s room. As he opened the door, he saw his child right in front of it as he seemed to have opened it as well.
“Whatcha’ doing bud?” Bakugou asked as he looked down to his mini me.
“Couldn’t sleep. Too cold..... Too scared..... Too lonely.” He son replied. Bakugou internally smiled at how his son and him were so similar. He really was a carbon copy of Bakugou Katsuki, that’s for sure.
“C’mon son,” Bakugou said as he lifted his boy up and walked towards the full sized bed. “We’re gonna need some sleep.” As the two blondes lay side by side, still staring at the ceiling, the younger one spoke up.
“.......Everything’s gonna be okay....right dad?” His son said with a break in his voice and teary eyes. “Mom will come back, and we’ll go back to being the awesome family we always are...right?” The boy said while looking at his father.
Bakugou stared at him for a bit, before pulling him into his chest and rubbing his back.
“I promise, Katsuo.”
The young child quietly sobbed into his fathers chest once more, after holding in all these tears for so long, and held a firm grip on Katsuki’s shirt. As Katsuki held onto his sad son, he too let a few silent tears shed as he hid his face atop of his son’s head.
‘I promise.’ The loving father thought to himself as he kissed the top of the boy’s head and held him a little tighter than before.
——————————————————————————
It’s been 3 days. 3 days too long for Katsuki and his worried son. They’ve been apart from Y/N for 3 days and are worried sick. After the two woke up from that sad night, Bakugou called in the Bakusquad to help find Y/N. The squad was lucky enough to be able to find DNA evidence and find out exactly who was in the house. Through the power of the internet and high tech power, they were able to track the villains and gather intel. Where they stay, what they do, their quirks, and where their base is. They’ve taken a very knowledgeable guess and estimate to find out where Y/N was, and now it was time to come up with a plan. They’ve been working for a few days and Bakugou was starting to get frustrated.
“AGH! WE’RE NOT GETTING ANYWHERE!” Bakugou exclaimed.
“Hey man, don’t you think it’s time we go to the agency and get their help and permission on this?” His best friend asked.
“I would love to get more help, especially from the agency, but there’s too many rules with them for a case like this. We have to go off the books to find Y/N, because when we do, nobody and no rules are gonna stop me from killing the idiots who thought it was okay to touch my wife!” Bakugou screamed out.
“Well you do realize how illegal this is right? We’re heroes, we’re supposed to abide by the law, stop those who break it, and kinda enforce it too.” Mina said.
“We were Y/N’s friends and family before we were pro heroes. If you’re too scared to go on, I won’t force you to continue, but nothing is going to stop me.” Bakugou calmly said.
As the silence filled the room, everyone bowed their heads. They were all confused and scared and worried for their dear Y/N.
“......How’s Katsuo taking this?” Kaminari asked.
“For a 5 year old, really well. Since I dropped him off with Deku and Round Face, he’s had other things to do but I’m sure his mom is all he could think about....I made my son a promise and I’m going to keep it. I’m gonna get her back.” Bakugou said.
With that, another silence fell upon the room. The squad came up with multiple plans but they all had major flaws. The one with the biggest risk however, would be the most efficient one. After thinking about it and having it in the backs of their minds, Kirishima spoke.
“Bakugou, let’s go with your plan.” The entire group looked up at the faux red in shock.
“Kirishima are you crazy?!” Mina asked.
“People will die if we go through with it. People who don’t deserve death as a final punishment!” Sero added on.
“Well Y/N is gonna die if we don’t do something about it right now. We have the best option right now, and yeah, it’s not the most holy, but it’s what we got! Do we wanna save our friend or not?!” Kirishima exclaimed.
After exchanging some looks and nods of agreement, the group was in. They were so lucky they weren’t doing this by the books.
“Okay then. Cover our tracks, don’t leave behind any evidence, and nobody get caught. We keep a steady flow and waste no movements. Get in, save Y/N, get out.” Bakugou explained while standing up.
“Let’s go save my wife.”
——————————————————————————
Here we are. The Bakusquad right infront of the warehouse they were keeping Y/N in. How did they get here? Bakugou’s plan of course. Go in to the HQ, demand answers, kill when getting no answers, kill when you got the answers. Kill, Kill, Kill. Blood now stained the hands of the Bakusquad both literally and figuratively. Whatever it takes to save her.
As Bakugou blew down the door with an explosion, multiple men came attacking the 5 heroes. Each henchman and goon getting killed in the process. When the crowd of people was left to just the pros, they looked around and saw Y/N right in the middle of the room. Her arms were being held up to suspend her and she was barely moving. Her body left in nothing but her panties and bra, her torso covered in blood and gashes, her arms littered with tears in the skin, her body covered in bruises, and her legs filled with cuts. The sight was torture to Bakugou as he attempted to run out to her.
“Y/NNN!!!” The blonde said as he sprinted towards his hurt wife, however, he was stopped.
“Come any closer and I’ll slash her pretty little throat.” Said a man as he showed up behind Y/N, coming out of the shadows and keeping Bakugou at bay.
Bakugou growled in frustration before speaking. “Let her go! Please! I’ll give you anything!” He bargained.
“Oh I know you will. That’s the whole reason why we took this gorgeous thing right here,” the man said while tilting your head to make you face him. Bakugou saw your blurred eyes stare right at the man in a dull manner. You were almost gone. “We want......well....we just want nothing to be honest. What we really want is you gone, but we’re aware we can’t kill you. None of us stand a chance against Dynamight BUT, there’s more than one way to destroy a person. When I kill your wife, your heart and soul, I’d be destroying you. Dynamight wouldn’t be able to function without his precious girl, and would be a shit hero because of it. More crime to the villains.”
Bakugou grunted at the whole thing, shaking in his boots. His dear wife, right there infront of him and he couldn’t do shit. Bakugou really got ticked on when the man spoke of what they did to Y/N.
“Don’t her scars look beautiful? She had the most melodious screams. It made the lot of my men wonder how she would sound in bed,” the smirked at he went to grab at Y/N’s breast.
“You bastard! Get your hands off my wife!” Bakugou screamed.
“That’s fine, I, along with others, have already had our fun with Y/N. Her pussy is completely stretched out now.” The man said with a smirk.
Bakugou saw red. “You fuckers RAPED MY Y/N?!???!!!!” The villain only smirked towards Bakugou before holding silence for a few seconds.
“Her cries were quite lovely,” the man said as he licked Y/N’s lips and kissed her. Everyone could see Y/N flinch and struggle to get away from the nasty attack. And they couldn’t do anything about it.
As the villain went on, Chargebolt noticed something. Rubber boots! How could he forget! After being on so many missions together, the Bakusquad all agreed the bottoms of their hero costumes should consist of rubber, so Denki could do his attack through the floor without hurting them. So with the villain distracted and back to talking, Denki shot 4 million volts into the floor, shocking the man, hearing him scream in pain. When Denki stopped the attack, the man was left there standing, still alive of course, but weak enough for Bakugou to take his anger out on him. Denki is such a good friend.
Bakugou blasted off and went straight to the man, grabbing his throat and beating him. He littered his with bruises and let the man experience all types of pain. It was a brutal murder and Bakugou ended it with grabbing the man’s neck and blasting him right then and there. It was over. It was done.
As Katsuki ran towards Y/N, he told the squad to clear the place of any proof they were there. Once he reached his wife and got her down and held her close and cried.
“K-Katsuki..” Y/N said weakly. Bakugou held her closer in his lap as he cried into her hair.
“I-...I’m here Y/N. I-it’s ok, I’m here. I got you....it’s over now.” Bakugou felt Y/N snuggle into him as she let a sigh of relief and comfort. Bakugou was too busy crying and saying his apologies. He couldn’t hear his sweet wife utter the most important phrase she had to say at the moment.
“Thank you.” She softly whimpered out.
——————————————————————————
It took a few days for Y/N to be fixed up again. The rape was hard on Y/N, but that’s okay because Bakugou was willing to wait for her whenever she felt ready. He was just happy to have his family back together....well..almost. After having multiple appointments with recorvery girl and extra TLC at home, Y/N was ready to get her son back. The drive to Deku’s house would be excruciating. Y/N just wanted to hold her baby boy in her arms and feel his love.
“You ready?” Bakugou asked with a smile as he saw Y/N looking at herself in the mirror. She returned the smile and walked up to her husband, embracing him in a loving hug, which he gladly returned.
“Thank you....for everything, hero.” Y/N smiled with the side of her face pressed against his chest. Bakugou kissed the top of her head before speaking.
“I love you, Teddy Bear.” Bakugou smiled.
“....Yeah...well not as much as I love you.” She said back with sass.
Bakugou’s eyes shot open at that comment.
“Is that a challenge shitty woman?!” Bakugou said while shaking her at her shoulders. Y/N only giggled before speaking.
“Nope, a challenge would be who gets to drive the new car to pick up Katsuo!” Y/N said while taking the keys out of Katsuki’s hand and running off.
“Wha- but-.....BUT I WANNA DRIVE IT!” He said like a child. The two tussled for the right to drive and laughed as they finally got to be together as the loving couple they are.
——————————————————————————
As Bakugou drove, Y/N held onto his hand. They were both smiling and couldn’t wait to be a happy family again.
“I’ve missed him so much..” Y/N said aloud.
Bakugou looked at her with content before speaking.
“And he’s missed you, Teddy Bear. We both did. It didn’t feel right with you gone.” He said while picking up your hand and giving it a kiss.
“Well I’m back now.” You said while smiling.
“And everything is almost perfect, we just need to get one more thing.” Katsuki said as he pulled into Deku’s driveway.
When the green haired hero opened the door for the couple, his eyes sparkled with joy and relief.
“Y/N! You’re safe!” The young pro said while embracing you.
“Safe and ready to see my son!” You said with excitement.
“He’s upstairs in his room. I don’t think he woke up yet, oh and I’m sorry Ochako isn’t here. She would’ve loved to see you back home, safe.” Deku said with a smile as he made way for you both.
“No worries, I’ll give her a call,” you said as you dragged Bakugou’s hand up the stairs. Before you continued, you turned to look at Deku.
“Thank you for taking care of Katsuo while we were gone, Izuku. It means a lot to us.” You said with appreciation and friendly love.
Deku nodded with a smile as he gestured for you to continue your journey to your son. As you walked into the room, you saw him with messy bed hair, a little drool on his mouth, and covered in blankets. The sight of him almost brought you to tears. As Bakugou closed the door, you sat in his bed just petting his head, waiting for Bakugou to join you. With Katsuki now by your side, you shook the little boy gently until he stirred awake.
“Katsuo...I missed you, love.” You whispered.
“Wha...huh?” Katsuo said, while looking around. When his eyes adjusted to the light, he saw an Angel. His mother right next to him, giving him the kindest smile he’s ever seen. With tears in his eyes, he jumped on her, giving her the biggest hug.
“MOM!!!” The boy loudly sobbed as he held onto you tight. The moment was perfect. The light shining in on the room, a mother and son embracing each other, and tears of joy all around.
“Hi baby. I’m home.” You sighed as you held him tighter. “I’m so sorry if I worried you, Katsuo.”
“N-no, it’s okay. Dad p-romised me you’d be back. H-he promised he would bring you b-back and dad always keeps hi-s promises.” Katsuo said while trying to fight the little hiccups coming his way.
“He really does, doesn’t he?” You said while looking over at your husband. His eyes were filled with tears and he was smiling so much his cheeks were turning red.
“I-I love you both, so damn much.” Katsuki said with breaks in his voice. He leaned into to hold the two in his arms as he teared up along side with them. The family all together again, the love for one another stronger than ever before.
Bakugou thought they should be getting home soon, but that word seemed to mess with him. Home. It wasn’t a big mansion or the buildings that could be considered a house. His home was all right here in his arms. His home consisted of his wife and his son. His home are the two people in his life that mattered most to him. His home is right here, with them. No matter where they are, where they go, or what happens, Y/N Bakugou and Katsuo Bakugou will always be his home.
A/N: y’all I’m sorry if this sucked😭 I started this about a week ago, and took a minor break and wasn’t able to finish it. I finally did, and it’s kinda sloppy but I hope you enjoyed it none the less. I really just wanted to get it out bc the person that requested it was waiting for awhile so I felt so bad but HERE IT ISSS!! I hope you enjoy it. I’m sorry for the delay. See you soon Bear Cubs! 💗🧸

... clink ...
The broken mask fell to the floor with an especially crisp sound.
" ... Ah ...! " Kirby was unable to move, in shock.
Meta Knight was a knight shrouded in mystery who never showed his true face. That mask, for it to break ...
Meta Knight immediately hid himself with his cape.
"Meta Knight ...! " Both King Dedede and Bandana Waddle Dee were overcome with surprise. King Dedede remembered what he had said to him by the campfire.
"You must have a really weird face."
Meta Knight turned curt without even trying to argue when he made fun of him. He probably didn't want to touch on the topic.
King Dedede didn’t know why. However, Meta Knight’s true face, to him, was a secret that he absolutely had to protect, even if he had to risk his life to do it.
" ... Damn ... it!" King Dedede felt around the inside of his robe. There, there were the two masks—ominous masks that seemed to be filled with the power of the shooting star.
Even though he felt the terrible power within them, he just couldn’t bring himself to let go and carried them along.
Meta Knight’s secret could be protected with these masks. But he didn't know what would happen.
"What to do ... " He hesitated for only a moment.
It didn't matter what happened. Meta Knight’s true face being exposed like that was absolutely unbearable for him.
"GET IT, META KNIGHT!" King Dedede shouted and threw the mask. Meta Knight grabbed it and put it on.
It was a beautiful mask with horns like the waxing crescent. However, it gave off a sinister air that caused all who saw it to tremble.
"Me ... Meta Knight ... " Kirby reflexively backed away from the overwhelming energy.
Meta Knight’s entire body seemed to be tainted by the evil aura flowing out. King Dedede held the other mask in his hand. This one, with horns like the waning crescent.
It was obvious what was happening to Meta Knight. These masks controlled the heart and completely took over, giving the wearer the immeasurable power of darkness in exchange.
" ... I won’t let you bear this darkness alone." King Dedede murmured in a low voice and resolutely put on the other mask himself.
Wild power filled his body, and at the same time, his heart was corrupted by the darkness. King Dedede roared like a beast. It was completely different from his usual voice.
"King Dedede ... what’s happened to him!?" Kirby was panicked.
"It's the power of the masks!" Bandana Waddle Dee shouted.
"Huh ... masks ...? "
"The Great King and Sir Meta Knight, the power of those masks are causing them to go on a rampage!"
"That’s ... "
King Dedede shouted out like a beast, approaching while swinging his hammer. Meta Knight swung his sword. It wasn't the treasured sword Galaxia.
Meta Knight’s sword was enveloped in darkness just as he was, transforming it into an evil weapon tinged with an ominous light. Kirby frantically dodged the sword being swung down at him at fierce speeds. It was not the beautiful technique that Meta Knight had so laboriously refined—instead, it had become a violent one full of murderous intent. Bandana Waddle Dee shook as he raised his voice.
"G-Great King! Please take off your mask! That mask is dangerous!" But his voice did not reach the Great King any longer. King Dedede, rampaging because of the power of the mask, threw himself at Bandana Waddle Dee while swinging his hammer senselessly.
"Watch out, Waddle Dee!" Kirby immediately jumped at Bandana Waddle Dee, protecting him, as Masked Dedede's hammer hit the floor, cracking it with the tremendous impact.
"He’s gotten an insane boost in power!" Bandana Waddle Dee shouted in despair. "What should we do ...!? "
"W-We have to get those masks off them, one way or another! Ei, SWORD SPIN!"
Kirby fired an attack at Masked Meta Knight, however, Meta Knight easily dodged and jumped up. King Dedede also kicked off the ground. They sent shock waves scattering when they held hands in the air while rotating at ultra high speeds.
"Uwaaaaaaah!" Kirby and Bandana Waddle Dee ran for cover.
"Waddle Dee, hide! It’ll be o-kay behind that statue!" Kirby pointed to the statue of King Dedede.
"I refuse, I'll fight too!" Bandana Waddle Dee said.
"You shouldn’t, those two aren’t themselves right now. I won’t let it end like this!"
"But ...! " The two masked opponents dropped while they were talking, plunging into the ground. The earth trembled, the impact sending a jolt so intense that it cracked the ground. However, King Dedede was swaying. His eyes spun dizzily, seemingly because of how fast he was spinning.
"O-kay, let’s get this done asap ...! "
Kirby and Bandana Waddle Dee ran over to King Dedede, but Meta Knight stopped them. He came at them with barrage after barrage of attacks with much greater speed and power than usual.
"Aaaaaah!" Kirby desperately protected the screaming Bandana Waddle Dee. Masked Dedede recomposed himself.
"Waddle Dee, get behind the statue, quickly ...! " Kirby shouted. Bandana Waddle Dee nodded, listening to him.
" ... Okay!"
Waddle Dee’s strength could help them no longer. It was best for him to protect himself instead so he wouldn’t trip Kirby up.
He rolled behind the statue of King Dedede. Kirby gripped his sword firmly. "Let’s go ...! "
Meta Knight slashed at him, then jumped up high when—an unexpected thing happened. He split into four while in the air.
"Huaah!? There’s more of him ...!? "
Even just one Waxing Crescent Masked Meta Knight was unmanageable, now he had multiplied. Then, King Dedede took a deep breath and inhaled. "Wawawawa!" Kirby hurriedly planted his feet so he wouldn't be sucked in, but the four Meta Knight’s that were hovering in the air were all sucked into King Dedede one after the other.
"Meta Knight is ...!? " Kirby’s eyes opened up wide. The next moment, Masked Dedede spit the Meta Knight’s out vigorously. Kirby toppled over, overcome with surprise. "Huuuh!? What is that attack ...!? " Meta Knight flew towards Kirby with his sword at the ready.
"Uhyooooo!"
Kirby was able to avoid the attacks by rolling as King Dedede spit out the four Meta Knight’s in quick succession.
"Wah! Yah! Hyah!" He rolled around on the floor. His eyes spun as he just barely dodged the attacks. "N—no good ... I'll be killed before I can do anything ...! "
Being at the brunt of the tag team’s attack was far too overwhelming, Kirby was stuck in a state of hopelessness. Bandana Waddle Dee watched from the shadows of the statue.
"Give it your all, Kirby! Give it your all, give it your all, give it your all!" But no matter how much he desperately yelled, he couldn’t help Kirby without the pompoms. In a fit of desperation, he thought about jumping out, but he knew that he would be defeated with a single blow. He would just get in Kirby’s way. "Of course ... I’m useless. Kirby would win this if he had a stronger buddy ... "
It was frustrating, so frustrating how powerless he was. Tears welled up in his eyes. Bandana Waddle Dee wiped them away and thought about it.
"This is no place to cry. Think, what I can do for Kirby. Kirby ... Kirby ...! "
No good ideas, nothing came to mind, however, fun memories of playing with his good friend, Kirby, came back one by one.
"Kirby ... Kirby ... Kirby ...! " Bandana Waddle Dee joined his hands in prayer and continued to call out Kirby's name.
Kirby was also thinking of Bandana Waddle Dee while fighting.
(If I lose now, that's the end. Even Waddle Dee will be killed!)
He also recalled the fun days of playing with his friend.
(All the times we went for a walk together, hide and seek, our races. Waddle Dee gave me a bunch of boxed lunches he made, and ... and he was gonna give me that pink and blue striped knitted hat!)
He couldn’t fail now. He had to fight.
For Waddle Dee.
Meta Knight JUMPED up high.
"Multiplying again ...!? " Kirby took a stance in preparation for the attack, however, it was a different move this time. Waxing Crescent Masked Meta Knight swung his sword, unleashing crescent-shaped shock waves.
Those Crescent Shots were Meta Knight’s specialty. Kirby slid, moving out of the way, and dodged the shock waves. However, King Dedede swung his hammer up and hit back the flying Crescent Shots coming at him one after the other. The Crescent Shots split into smaller splinters of themselves and rushed towards Kirby!
He couldn’t avoid being cut as the countless sharp, blade-like shock waves flew at him.
"Uwaaaaah ...! " Kirby screamed. Bandana Waddle Dee, forgetting the danger, jumped out from behind the statue.
"KIRBY—!"
—And at that moment.
A strange object tumbled out in front of Bandana Waddle Dee. It gave off a mysterious blue light, so strong and intense it was difficult to get near. Bandana Waddle Dee faltered for a moment, squinting, but that light was so beautiful it seemed suck him in.
He timidly extended a hand. "I wonder what this is ... No way, a piece of a star ...? " He slowly tried lifting it up.
Even though it was about the size of a person, it was very light. He felt warm light fill his entire body.
"Uh ... huh ...? What ...?" The light that overflowed from the strange piece filled his whole being with power. "This is ..... this piece is ...? "
A nearly identical piece had also appeared in front of Kirby. Kirby approached it, staggering.
"Wh ... at ...? This ... is ...? " It gave off a pink light. The piece that Bandana Waddle Dee had picked up was exactly the same shape, but flipped. "Wh ... at ...? "
Kirby had no power left to lift the fragment anymore. He put his hand on the piece limply, completely exhausted. Bandana Waddle Dee ran over to him, holding the strange piece with both hands.
"Kirby! With that piece ...! " The weakened, cut up Kirby closed his eyes with his hand still on it. Bandana Waddle Dee desperately raised his voice. "Give it your all, Kirby! Lift that piece up! Combine it with mine!"
"Huh ...? " Kirby cracked open his eyes. "Piece ... what ... is this ... piece ...? "
"I don't know. But I can feel something. Kirby, lift up the piece!"
"Y ... eah ... "
"Please, Kirby!"
"A ... alright ... "
Kirby mustered all of his strength and lifted the pink piece as he was told, and Bandana Waddle Dee’s blue piece and Kirby’s pink piece fit together perfectly and became one.
One glittering shooting star.
Suddenly, a bullet flew out of the center of that star. " ... Wawah! What!?" Kirby was surprised.
"With this, we can now fight back!" Bandana Waddle Dee shouted. "Kirby, aim and strike true!"
"Aim ...? "
"First, Sir Meta Knight!"
Meta Knight, again, tried to launch a Crescent Shot, but Kirby and Bandana Waddle Dee fired a star bullet at him.
"EIYAAA—!" The bullet struck Meta Knight straight-on, throwing him into the ground.
"Next, King Dedede!" They aimed the star at King Dedede, who raised his hammer.
"TAKE THIIIIIS—!" King Dedede also toppled over after receiving the bullet.
"Amazing power ...! " Kirby said.
"Be careful, Kirby. It's not over yet!"
Bandana Waddle Dee jumped on top of the star. Kirby also climbed atop it with pained breaths. It floated up softly when the two were on board, increasing in brightness more and more.
King Dedede and Meta Knight were held captive by intense rage after being hit by the bullets. They raised their voices in a roar and came rushing in, swiftly attacking.
Bandana Waddle Dee and Kirby quickly looked at each other and nodded in unison. The two shouted as one.
"GOOOOO—!"
The bullets fired by the pair became two beams that entwined and increased in power, hitting King Dedede and Meta Knight dead-on. Their weapons were sent flying and spun about in the air, and the two masks shattered into small fragments.
At the same time, the star Kirby and Bandana Waddle Dee were riding on disappeared into smoke, causing a dense cloud of dust to rise. They couldn't see anything.
"Kirby ... are you okay?" Bandana Waddle Dee said while coughing.
"Yeah, I’m ... o-kay ... You, Waddle Dee?"
"I'm also just fine ... "
When he said that, the floor shook dramatically. The pillars cracked and the ceiling crumbled, raining down.
"This is bad ... " Bandana Waddle Dee shouted. "The tower is starting to collapse!"
"Huhh ...!? " The two’s feet shook as they spoke. "Let’s get out of here, Waddle Dee!" Kirby took Bandana Waddle Dee's hand.
"But the Great King and Sir Meta Knight are still ...! "
Then, something appeared and quickly disappeared over the two’s heads.
What the pair saw when they looked up was Meta Knight’s form flying away from the window with King Dedede in his arms.
Meta Knight's true face was in shadow and could not be seen. King Dedede seemed to be unconscious.
"I'm glad! Both of them are safe!"
"Let's get out of here, quickly!"
Kirby and Bandana Waddle Dee ran down the stairs with held hands.

annoying: chapter 4
iwaizumi hajime has hated you, his assistant athletic trainer, since he knew you in high school. you on the other hand have bothered him for fun for as long as you knew him, not realizing your romantic feelings for him had manifested in that way. what happens when you two blockheads finally come to terms with how you feel?
“yakuuu how far away are we?” your head pokes through the space between the two front seats, and you can hear yaku scoff as he drives.
“like ten minutes. so sit back and be patient,” his right hand comes back and pushes your face back. pouting, you sit back and rest your head on atsumu’s shoulder. he chuckles besides you and lays his arm over your shoulder, craning his head to talk to yaku in the mirror.
“yakkun are you designated driver?” you, bokuto, and atsumu are hopeful you won’t have to stay sober tonight.
“well obviously, we are taking my car. i don’t trust any of you idiots to drive it,” his eyes stay on the road as he talks.
“yakkun! i could drive your car if i wanted to!” bokuto protests, and you can hear the slight whine in his voice as he speaks. atsumu snickers quietly at his tone, turning to press his face into your hair to try and be quiet. it doesn’t work.
“even piss head is laughing at the idea of you driving my car,” yaku gestures to the back, and you turn your head into atsumu’s shoulder to hide from bokuto’s scathing glare the the two of you.
“you’re both traitors,” his unnecessarily even voice is what pushes you and atsumu over, and you two dissolve into loud laughs with snorts mixed in occasionally.
“we love you bo!!” you lean forward and clasp one hand over each of his cheeks, smushing his face together and shooting him a wide smile. he awkwardly smiles at the position his face is in before pulling back and frowning slightly at you.
“mean. both of you,” he faces the road in spite, and you can see yaku’s shoulders shake as he just barely holds his own laughs in. after a couple more minutes of navigating, yaku pulls into a garage right next to the bar, announcing you guys have arrived.
“yayyy drinking time!” you happily skip through the covered garage, your dress fluttering around you.
“if you throw up you’re not allowed in my car,” yaku calls out from behind you, and you wave your hand back in acknowledgment. atsumu and bokuto catch up to you, atsumu walking on your right and bokuto on your left.
“it’s like i have two big beefy bodyguards. how exciting,” your eyebrows wiggle up seductively at the two of them, and atsumu snort with no hesitation.
“yeah just one. ya can have bokkun,” he pushes you towards bokuto, who just barely manages to catch you before you fall. he slings his arm over your shoulder, pulling your side into his body and glaring at atsumu.
“good cuz you don’t deserve to guard her anyways,” sticking his tongue out at atsumu, he pulls you closer and kisses the top of your head. your glare matches his, and as yaku comes to walk with you three, he looks equally annoyed with you and bokuto.
“why do you look like that piss head? you’re gonna be drunk soon anyways. i have to deal with the idiots while sober,” he grumbles, leading the way to the bar.
“why are ya always so mean yakkun! we’re friends here!” atsumu calls out as yaku reaches the door of the bar.
“you three are the children i babysit,” he says with a tired sigh before yanking the door open for the four of you to enter.
“l/n-san!” hinata’s voice carries over the staggering amount of patrons in the bar, and your eyes fall on the bubbly orange headed middle blocker across the bar. ushijima, kageyama, suna, and aran accompany the boy, and aran looks like he’s already three drinks in. you would be too if hinata was that energetic.
“hinata!!” you maneuver through the crowd, making your way over to the table they reserved and giving him a hug.
“i’m here too you know,” suna’s voice stands out in the relatively loud bar, and you look over hinata’s shoulder to glare at him.
“really? i didn’t see you behind all that shit attitude. congrats on winning by the way,” you turn back to hinata, squeezing him one last time before saying hi to everyone else.
“how come hinata gets a hug?” atsumu whines from across the table.
“because he’s the only person besides bokuto who’s nice to me,” you tell him, setting your purse down before sliding out of the chair. “i’m going to get a drink does anyone want to come with me?”you look around, realizing that komori and hoshiumi weren’t there yet.
“i suppose i will,” suna groans as he gets up, pushing you towards the bar.
“you sound so excited to do so,” you quip back, slapping his hand off of your shoulder. he smirks, leaning against the bar as you order yourself three shots of tequila.
“jesus how drunk are you trying to get?” he frowns as the bartender comes back with three identical shot glasses filled to the brim with the amber liquid.
“enough to forget my problems,” you cut yourself off by throwing your head back and downing one of the shots in record time. suna watches as you finish the second one the exact same way, and as you reach out to grab the third, a voice floats towards the two of you.
“...guys what’s up?” you freeze, turning around slightly to see iwaizumi talking to the team, hinata waving excitedly at him. he’s dressed in similar clothes to all the others guys, dark pants and a light blue button up, sleeves cuffed at his forearms. he looks offensively attractive.
“if you stare any longer you’ll burn holes into him,” suna whispers loudly in your ear, forcing you to bat his face away before turning back towards the bar.
“i wasn’t staring. i was looking at how stupid hot he looks,” you mumble under your breath, eyeing the shot in your hands. as the edge of the glass touches your lips and the fiery liquid reaches your tongue, you feel a presence make itself known behind you. you opt to ignore the presence until after your shot is finished.
“hey suna,” the liquid turns bitter in your mouth at the voice, but you force the shot down anyways before turning to see iwaizumi shake hands with suna. upon noticing you next to him, his eyes widen slightly before returning back to normal, a scowl painted across his face.
“l/n-san,” his voice is low, and the alcohol is already muddling your senses, so you can’t help the warm feeling crawling across your face.
“iwaizumi-san. always a pleasure,” your voice is even, and you smirk at the man before turning back to the bar and ordering another two shots.
“are you trying to kill yourself here? is that what’s going on? do i need to get yaku?” suna just about cancels your order, but you grab the glass closest to him and down your fourth shot of the night. you’re well aware taking so many shots in a row will definitely have you plastered, but the familiar warmth that comes with intoxication is already seeping through your brain and relaxing your senses.
“i’m fine sunarin, i’m having fun! i got two hot boys to keep me company anyways,” the words fall out before you can process them, so you miss the way iwaizumi’s stare hardens on you. suna scoffs, watching pathetically from the sidelines as you finish your fifth shot.
“i’m praying you’re taking about bokuto and atsumu,” he says, ordering himself a beer. lord knows he’ll need it if he’s going to deal with you tonight.
“obviously i’m talking about you two!” you giggle, winking at iwaizumi, who flushes bright red. suna sighs before tugging on your arm and pulling you back to the table.
“you should learn to keep your mouth shut,” he says as he sits you down next to atsumu before sitting on the other side of him. you’re unaware of how iwaizumi sits on the other side of suna.
“what’d she do this time?” atsumu takes a gulp of beer before turning back to you.
“i said iwaizumi was hot and sunarin got mad. i don’t know why though, he’s a very attractive person, and he’s got veryyy big arms. have you seen them? i’d let him choke me,” you grab a random glass of water on the table to sip on. suna and atsumu giggle to themselves as iwaizumi moves into you, glaring at you from across the table.
“hajime!!” your drunk self stumbles out of your chair and onto the empty chair right next to him. your arm moved up to rest on his shoulder.
“what are you doing?” he moves to lean back as you lean forward, but your hand catches his chin so you can speak. both atsumu and suna were watching with wide eyes at the sight before them. aran and ushijima were engaged in their own conversation, with kageyama snoozing quietly on ushijima’s shoulder. hinata, now accompanied by hoshiumi and komori, have joined bokuto and yaku on the dance floor.
“i’m asking if you want to dance with me!” you finish with a wide smile, giggling out of habit. he fidgets in his seat at the sight.
“i don’t dance,” his voice is even, strained.
“then maybe you should follow me into the bathroom and i can show you different moves,” your smile drops to something more alluring as you stand up shakily and walk towards the bathroom, not waiting for his reply. next to him, suna and atsumu are practically bursting at the seams with laughter.

Hurt Levi pls
I normally don't take tumblr prompts, but for you, anon whose identity is a total mystery to me, I will accept
NSFW under the cut. Also warning for some torture that happens about midway through. Nothing too graphic tho.
-
Kenny captured him as they dueled in the streets of the capital. Levi didn't see the net coming until it was too late. His eyes were locked on the gunslinger, body moving like water as he spun past bullet after bullet, slate eyes trained on Kenny's exposed jugular.
When the net struck him it took his balance with it, and he tumbled two stories to the ground, confused in a pile of weights and rope. He landed with a sickening crunch, the right side of his body slamming brutally into the paving stones.
Levi was stunned, body wracked with agony as his broken bones screamed in complaint.
He could hear his squad calling out for him; "Heichou!" But he could not make out their faces as his vision blurred and dark shadows began to loom over him.
One of those shadows- the tallest, the most menacing- laughed, and then spat in his face. Kenny.
"Gotcha, runt," Levi could hear the sneer in his voice, words dripping with the venom of sordid joy. He struggled, breath coming ragged as panic began to set in.
"Knock him out," Kenny ordered.
A sharp pain radiated up the side of Levi's skull, then everything went black.
He awoke in a dark cell, suspended by iron manacles that dug harshly into his wrists. His shirt was gone, body coated in a fine sheen of cold sweat that shimmered in the dim light of a single, paltry torch.
Levi's head throbbed painfully. The right side of his body was mottled with blue-black bruises. It hurt to breathe, to blink, to think.
But Levi was a survivor, so he pushed through the pain, recalling everything that had brought him to this point. He remembered battling on the streets of the capital. He remembered Kenny shouting his name boisterously. He remembered Nifa's brains being splattered across the rooftops, and he remembered falling, and falling, and falling.
"Shit," he cursed, and he pulled at his restraints. The movement only served to dig the metal more painfully into his flesh, fresh blood running hot down his forearms.
Levi drew in a ragged, fortifying breath, then shouted with all of his remaining might, "Kenny!"
The low tenor of his voice echoed through the subterranean dungeon. A peppering of dust fell from the rafters, disturbed by the sudden noise.
Panting, chest heaving as he bit through another full body wave of pain, he shouted again, louder, with more power and rage behind the name; "KENNY!"
His muscles went limp, body hanging weakly from his shackles, toes dragging on the filthy floor. Everything hurt. It hurt so much. Every fiber of his being seemed to be crying out in red hot pain. His head throbbed, eyes pulsing in his skull. There was a constant pressure in his chest, digging into his lung, a broken rib, more like than not.
Levi huffed a broken sound, hanging his head. He was useless like this, strung up like a fresh kill. He shut his eyes, waiting helplessly for his fate to arrive.
Hange would come for him. He knew she would.
He recalled their parting moment, the people she had loaned him, the people he had gotten killed. He remembered the trust she had placed upon him, that had swirled behind those wine-colored eyes, and somehow he felt even more broken.
"Hange..." He sighed her name, lids fluttering.
He'd been so caught up in his memories that he hadn't heard the telling sound of footsteps on the bricks. Two grizzled, calloused hands gripped the bars mockingly.
Kenny grinned at him from the darkness of the corridor, freshly shaven. Face porous and lined and aged.
"Hey there, runt," he goaded, fingers drumming softly on the bars. Two more people appeared beside him, men, their faces obscured behind black torturer's hoods. Their black eyes flashed menacingly in the torchlight.
"We have a few questions for ya," Kenny produced a key from around his neck and slipped it into the lock. The heavy, barred door opened with a metallic shriek and a muffled kerthunk. He slipped into the cell, body long, thin and skeletal. Behind him the two torturers followed.
Now that they stood in the light Levi could see that they wore the instruments of his torture across their bodies like bandoliers. The knives and scalpels and scrapers all gleamed orange by the light of the torch.
Levi swallowed thickly, giving another weak pull at his shackles.
"Now," Kenny's smile never waned. He laced his fingers behind his back, standing up straight and proud. "Are ya gonna cooperate? Or will we have to do this the hard way."
Levi's lips curled into a snarl. They wanted Hange's location, the location of his squad.
They could rot in hell.
He demonstrated as much by spitting onto the floor in front of Kenny's boot.
"Fuck off."
Kenny puffed his cheeks amusedly, and took a small step backward to make way for the torturers.
"These fellows are good at what they do," Kenny explained softly as they began to pluck their implements from their chests. "They were loaned to me by the king himself."
Levi bared his teeth, refusing to give Kenny anything more than his ire.
Kenny cracked his knuckles, smile shifting to lopsided and entertained, "Alright then, let's begin."
Levi stayed strong. Through it all, he endured. He kept his lips sealed, biting on them until they bled like his exposed nailbeds, like the parallel lines they drew across his belly with their razor sharp knives. He endured when they began breaking nailess toes, and he endured when they moved on to his fingers, peeling the skin back to the first knuckle.
His blood painted the floor in crimson-black drips. His grunts of agony echoed through the dungeon halls in a torturous symphony.
"Where is Hange Zoe?" Kenny asked, obviously beginning to grow exasperated.
Levi showed his teeth, red with blood, red dripping from his nose, "Never." He choked, tasting rust in his mouth. He would die before he gave Hange up. It was her face that lingered in the back of his mind, that bolstered his resolve against their blunted rods as they beat his already broken ribs.
He remembered her smile. Her laughter. They way she smirked when she teased him over his height and cleanliness. He remembered her touch, the fire she awoke inside of him, in his skin.
He remembered Hange. His Hange. And he endured.
Eventually they left him alone. Making sure to snuff out the torch as they went, Levi dangled weakly in the dark. The only sounds were that of his own breathing and his blood dripping steadily onto the floor.
His vision began to fade, sounds growing distant, as though he were submerged beneath dark waves of white hot water. He struggled to breathe, to keep his eyes open.
Ultimately his struggle was in vain. He fell into viscous, black unconsciousness.
-
Hange Zoe had never before known fear like this; this terrible, gripping thing that settled in her chest and constricted around her lungs like a parasitic snake. It radiated outward from her center, down her limbs and into her fingertips, numbing them as she gripped the triggers of her ODM gear.
He had to be alive. He had to be.
How would she survive if Levi were gone. What would she do? She couldn’t imagine it, that agony which she was barely holding at bay. Were the worst to come to fruition it would surely consume her.
They busted through the doors of the anti-personnel squad compound. Shattering through them with a battering ram, shards of broken wood raining down on the occupants of the adjacent room; splintering and slicing them.
Hange grabbed the first man she saw by his collar, hoisting him into the air as her muscles burned. She pressed the edge of her blade to his throat, flashing her teeth, vision blurring red with complete and utter rage.
“Where is he?!”
Moblit and Levi squad apprehended the others in the room. Binding their hands and feet. Hange simply wanted them dead.
The man dangled in the air, grasping weakly at Hange’s wrist where she held him aloft, “I- I um...”
“Spit it out or you won’t have a tongue to speak with!” Hange demanded, pressing her blade more insistently to his throat.
“D-downstairs,” he pointed towards a door with a shaking finger.
Hange grunted and threw him roughly down onto the floor, leaving him to the rest of the squad. She rushed for the doors, prying a torch off of the wall as she descended into the dark depths of the dungeon.
Let him be alive, she chanted to herself. Please, whatever gods there may be, let him be alive.
Kenny was nowhere to be found. The fighting upstairs cleared quickly and soon all of Levi squad was trailing the Section Commander through the dark labyrinth.
It only took another few moments for them to discover him hanging by his wrists in the dark. He was filthy, covered in blood, sweat, and bruises. His eyes were closed, chest barely rising with stilted breath.
“Levi!” Hange rasped, gripping the bars. “What did they do to him?”
She ground her teeth to the point of pain, leaning all of her weight into the bars like she could bend them through sheer force of will alone. The sight of his blood pooling on the floor made her stomach twist, her heart ache. Her mouth was dry and a salient mixture of horror and utter rage pooled in her center.
Armin was already working on the lock. But it wasn’t fast enough.
Hange shoved him out of the way and slammed one of her blades down into the rusty lock mechanism over and over. It creaked, shuddered, and then cracked in two under the force of her assault.
Leaving the rest of the squad in the dust, Hange rushed to Levi’s side, wrapping her arms tenderly around his waist and lifting him so his wrists were no longer being cut by the shackles.
“Hange,” he choked her name weakly, then spit blood onto the yellow of her shirt. His slate eyes were hooded and distant, dissociative from the pain.
Armin and Mikasa were working on his restraints.
“I’m here,” Hange breathed, careful only to touch him where she had to. “I’m here.”
She wanted to scream at the sight of him. His body was a warzone; brutalized, left sallow and broken. His skin was clammy, breath tinged with the scent of blood.
“Levi...” she exhaled shakily, and finally the manacles came lose and Levi crumpled into her arms. He buried his face against her neck, and she heard him inhale sharply, painfully.
Hange bit her lip, cupping the back of his head, stroking his greasy hair gingerly.
Moblit cupped her shoulder gently, his eyes wide with concern, “Section Commander, we need to go.”
Hange nodded, lifting Levi protectively into her arms. She wouldn’t let anyone help her. She couldn’t bear the thought of anyone touching him but her. She guarded him carefully all the way back to their hideout, keeping his head nestled safely in her lap as their cart wheeled bumpily along the city streets.
-
Hange treated his wounds as best she could. She wrapped his tortured fingers and stitched the wounds in his abdomen. She tied his broken toes to unbroken ones and gave him water each hour on the hour. As for his bruises? She could only hope that they were not set too deeply into his muscles and organs. She could only caress delicate fingers over his cheek and pray to whatever merciful gods might exist that he would come out of this trial relatively unscathed.
Though he would always bare the scars. Reminders of her own failure to protect him; the man she...
She utterly refused to leave his side, not even to report to Erwin. She sent Moblit in her stead.
And how could she leave him? Her Levi? Her partner in crime? How could she possibly rationalize leaving his side when he was so close to death, when she had nearly lost him.
She cried softly at night, sat up against a stark brick wall, just feet away from the Captain. She cried because she realized for the first time that she really, truly loved this man. She loved him with each individual fiber of her imperfect being. She loved him, and she had nearly lost him.
Levi had nearly died.
“I feel so helpless,” she whispered, blinking back her tears. “Levi, I’m so sorry. If I had just gotten there sooner you might not-
“Shut it, four-eyes,” Levi groused painfully, blinking to wakefulness. His voice was groggy, eyes blurry, but he still managed to reach out and touch Hange. He laid his bandaged had over her own.
“You’re awake,” Hange exhaled in relief, and she leaned over him slightly, scooting nearer. She could feel the reassuring heat of his body, watch the steady rise and fall of his chest.
“Did you...” Levi let out a painful wheeze when he tried to rise onto his elbows. Hange gently coaxed him back into the sheets. “Did you treat me?”
Hange nodded, sniffing, “I did. We’re still in hiding so we couldn’t call on any actual doctors.”
Levi swallowed thickly, wounded fingers curling gingerly around her own, “Is Kenny dead?”
“No, he wasn’t there when we raided the compound.”
“Shit.”
“Levi...” Hange leaned closer, looming over him. Her eyes flashed with genuine concern. Her throat suddenly felt too tight, too hot.
Levi went very still, and for a long moment they simply stared, gazing into one another’s eyes. There was a spark of recognition in Levi’s grey as he reconciled the emotion swirling in Hange’s russet irises.
“Hange...”
She kissed him, leaning carefully over his body and sealing their lips in a wet, tearful kiss. Her tongue traced along his lower lip, and he granted her entrance with a soft moan, mimicking her action in turn. Hange cupped his cheek, thumb brushing along his chin.
When they parted a soft sob wracked through Hange’s body, breath tickling along Levi’s parted lips, tears peppering his cheeks.
“I almost lost you,” Hange choked.
Slowly, Levi raised his good arm and cupped the back of her neck, pulling her in for another; slower, more reverent kiss.
Hange shifted her position over Levi’s body as their tongues and lips worked in tandem. She straddled his left thigh, her own thigh pressing very near to the crux of his legs where he was obviously hard, wearing only a thin pair of sleep pants that Hange had scrounged for him.
“You almost died,” she said when they parted again. Then she peppered his face with kisses from his forehead to his chin. “I almost lost you, Levi.”
“We’re soldiers,” Levi spoke, but there was no conviction behind his words. “Soldiers die.”
Hange shook her head, more tears welling. She bit her lip painfully, and when she opened her mouth to speak only a pained noise managed to eek past her lips.
“I knew that you would come for me,” Levi admitted after a moment of uncomfortable silence. “I knew you’d be the one.”
Hange nodded fiercely, then kissed him again. Her fingertips teased along the waistband of his pants, and he hummed in silent consent. Hange needed this, they needed this. This kairotic moment to which they had been building for years. This physical expression of their shared need, desires, and- though they did not give it voice- their love. All of it precipitating from such exquisite pain as nearly losing one another.
When she sank down onto him is was with a soft sigh. He filled her up, made her feel whole in a way she had never known she was missing. She was careful of his broken body, setting a slow, even pace that drove the both of them mad.
“Hange,” Levi whispered her name. His bandaged hands lifted to hold her hips as she rode him.
“I love you,” she admitted, ducking her face to hide behind her hair. “I love you and I almost lost you, Levi.”
Tears continued to pepper his face and chest as they made love, Hange gliding gracefully back and forth on him. He even managed to cant his hips slightly to meet her, drawing a quiet moan past her lips.
They reached climax quickly, peaking together in a moment which Hange could only describe as one of pure light.
Afterwards she tucked herself into his good side, head resting on his shoulder, cum dripping between her thighs.
“I love you, short stuff. I love you so much it hurts. And to see you so broken, in so much pain... I can’t.” The tears were flowing again, dampening the sheets.
“Easy,” he touched her hair. “I’m alive, four-eyes. You saved me.”
“Not before-
“Hey, enough of that shit,” Levi demanded, though his voice was soft. He inclined his head to kiss Hange’s hair. “I’m alive four eyes. I’m alive because you came for me.”
Hange blinked away her tears and nuzzled into Levi’s neck. Muffled against his skin she breathed, “I love you.”
Levi closed his eyes. Body still aching, in tatters, but with Hange by his side he felt as though everything might turn out okay.
He loved her, too.

Red Hood rushed down the hall away from the confrontation in the lobby. He had planned to sneak in and disrupt the meeting but that was no longer necessary. Things were going bad all on their own. Sionis was trying to find new contacts to deal with but recent interruptions in his business made an already turbulent arrangement turn volatile. Hood kept on down the hall looking for any other things he could tamper with in case they resolved their differences without guns.
He saw a woman step out of one of the former offices before the warehouse had been abandoned. He wasn’t sure who she was but she had been seen with Sionis or Zsasz a few times, but she usually never left their side so she would likely have information about their operation. He moved over to her quickly and pushed her back into the room, possibly more roughly than was necessary but for this it was likely better if she was a bit on edge.
She looked startled at him pushing her around but her eyes dropped down when she realized who he was. She said nothing. She waited for instructions, flinching a little when he reached out for her again.
“You are coming with me. Do you have anything of yours here that you need?”
She shook her head instead of responding, still looking down.
“Quickly out that window and hold on tight.”
She didn’t move. Well, she did but it was to back away and look around for an escape route. He grabbed her by the arm and pushed her a little to get her walking. Shouts were starting to echo down the hall. He expected bullets would be heard next.
“You are going to have to trust me. You have no reason to, but it is your only option.”
He pushed her until she had to either climb out the window or pull out of his grip. The decision became easier for her when the first gun fired followed immediately by several others. She climbed out the window and he followed. She was holding on to the side, looking very nervous about the possibility of a 3 story fall but he pulled her to him when he cleared the window.
Red Hood swung away from the building and landed on a low roof. He pulled her behind him, holding her hand to force her to keep up. They crossed several other roofs and he never saw anyone else nearby so he circled back around and found a vehicle to use. She was hesitating again when it came time for her to get in the car. She didn’t want to go back but she was not very thrilled about going with him.
“I meant what I said. You have to trust me. You have no other choice.”
She stared at him for one more moment before climbing into the car and putting on a seatbelt. They were silent as they drove through Gotham. He could feel the nervousness rolling off her but there was very little he could do about it. He did the one thing he could think of to ease her mind when he pulled off the road and into the drive thru at a Bat burger. It was a little thing. He was hungry. She probably was too, and it was an easy way for her to be more certain he wasn’t planning to just kill her.
He took her to his personal safehouse rather than the base. He didn’t want her spooked by the militia or all the guns and activity. Very few actually knew where the safehouse was. He didn't trust many to know where he slept, but he had a feeling that she could be trusted with the information.
He set the food at the table inside and the scene felt very domestic as they sat across from each other at his small table. It was better light in here so he was able to get a good look at her as she finished her food. She ate slowly and made no sudden movements. Her entire persona was meek, but it felt forced. He finished before her and pushed his back against the chair back as he stretched himself out. He stood and threw his paper wrappers in the trash and pulled out 2 beers from the fridge, offering one to her.
“So who are you?” he asked. “You don’t really seem like a career criminal.”
“I'm not, or I wasn't."
"Very vague explanation."
"I had dreams and plans before. I had a business and had just gotten an incredible contract. I went out with friends to celebrate.”
Red Hood kept watching and waited for her to finish but that seemed to be all of the story he was going to get out of her without more questions.
“How did that lead you to working for Sionis?”
“My friends and I didn’t know the area well. I had just moved here. But we found club Roman listed and that is where we went.”
“That is a well known cover for his business.”
“That is more clear to me now, but I didn’t know it at the time. It was purported to have a great singer and a dance show. That part was true.”
“Gonna need more of how you got involved with Sionis, Sweetheart.”
“Don’t call me that,” she said vehemently.
He was taken aback and raised his hands in a surrender motion. She appeared to be working on calming her breathing, eyes wide in terror. But she took a deep breath and continued.
“My friends and I all piled into an uber to get home. We checked the driver and everything was correct. He was very polite and dropped them off first. My place was only a little further away but I never made it home. He was working for Sionis and brought me to see him. He told me I worked for him now. He wanted my new contract as a way to do his business and work against the other company.”
“How long ago was this?”
“I signed the Wayne contract in March.”
“And you have been working for him since?”
“I guess so. I don’t really think of it that way though.”
“You don't think of it that way? Is there a more eloquent way to say you are working for a mob boss?”
"You know a lot about his organization. You are familiar with Mr Zsasz?" Hood nodded without interrupting her. "He is covered in scars. It's very off putting before you know the reason. Then it is horrifying. He kills people, and for each person he kills he makes a mark."
"So you did what they said or he would kill you?"
"I tried to resist or escape at first. But Mr Zsasz had driven my friends home. He didn't only threaten me." She took a shaky breath. "Nor was I the only person they tried to convince to work with Black Mask. There was another man, he was brought in with his wife and daughter. They made me watch--"
Hood followed her out of the room when she suddenly stopped talking and bolted out of the room. He stood by the bathroom door for several minutes until she finished and then ran the water for several minutes cleaning herself up. When she came back out he offered a water. He said he didn't have ginger ale or crackers but he could make toast. She shook her head but took the water from him. Then she continued telling her story.
"The threats were always there. Usually they would just smack me around a bit if I didn't want to do something or possibly if they were bored. They would threaten my friends or tell me they had given up trying to find me." She wiped away tears. "If I gave in too quickly after a beating Mr Zsasz would show me his scars. He has a spot picked out for me. Once told me he wanted me to fight them because he wanted to fill my spot. He dragged me up by my hair and made me kiss it."
"He did what?" Red Hood could barely contain his anger. The whole story was making him irrationally angry.
"It wasn't about me, or anything like that. He wasn't interested in anything but torment and he was very good at that. He did it for the bit if blood that transferred from my bloody lip to the spot. He says he couldn't wait for his own blood to show in my spot." Her voice dropped to a whisper as she added. "He always called me Sweetheart because I didn't like it and he refused to use my name. Everyone did. I wasn't even a person to them."
"What is your name?"
"Marinette," she said quietly.
"Marinette, you are safe now. I'm not going to hurt you."
"Last time I tried to escape he said there was nowhere to run. He would find me no matter what and make his mark."
He paused for a moment, thinking. He knew the best option but he didn't really want to use it. But it was the best option for Marinette.
"I can't protect you." Her face fell at that. "What I mean is I'm dismantling the entire organization. I can't keep you safe but I know of people who can. Do you trust me?"
"You said I have to trust you."
"But you would actually have to rely on the trust for this. You would have to trust that you will be safe with the people I take you to."
"It doesn't seem like there is another option."
"Getting you out of town with a new identity could work. But you may always be on the run. This life you have would never be yours again."
"Okay. I will trust you."
They left after that. He took her across many rooftops and around town. He seemed to be waiting for something but Marinette didn't know what until someone else landed. It was Batman, a known enemy of Red Hood and Black Mask. Marinette really hoped there wasn't going to be a fight.
"Took you long enough, old man."
"It was clear you were trying to draw me out. I wasn't going to jump into a trap."
"You are known for holding back, whether the situation calls for it or not. I'm proposing a temporary truce."
"How temporary is this truce?"
"One hour."
"That is very temporary. You clearly need me out of your plans right now. That sounds like the worst time for me to agree to a truce."
"I'm not making any moves. I need help or she does." He stood aside so Batman could see Marinette. "She was taken by Black Mask after securing a contract with Wayne Enterprises. Your connection to Bruce Wayne and Wayne Enterprises is well known."
He watched Bruce under the mask. His Batman mask slipped off his facial features while the cowl stayed firm. He knew Bruce was looking at his helmet and seeing Jason. He thought he was finally reaching the boy and Red Hood had no interest in correcting the misconception now. He would still complete his plan.
Black Mask had just become a higher priority and surprisingly he wanted to keep Marinette safe. He also had plans for Zsasz. He wanted to take him out personally. He shocked himself by reaching up to Marinette's chin and tilting it. She looked up at him as if he could tell their eyes were meeting even thought he had his helmet on. His thumb brushed against her jaw briefly before he dropped his hand.
"Keep her safe," he said without looking back at Batman. He couldn't stand to see Bruce looking at Jason again right now. He flipped off the roof and away before anyone else says anything but he crept back to a higher vantage point to watch as Batman took Marinette with him. She would be fine now.

Masks and Music
(Part 1)
Part 2
I didn't think that my last post would've gotten ANY notes at all, so imagine my surprise when I find out that people actually liked it. After that suprise I thought why not and make another one so here we go! This is a Miraculous/Batfam crossover.
Imagine that Damian gets sent to Paris because the fam doesn't want him to become an emotionally constipated sad boi like Bruce and think that a change in scenery would help.
They don't know about the whole Hawkmoth situation because SOMEONE from the justice league decided that the while thing was a prank DESPITE that it was an ENTIRE CITY calling instead of a single person.
Like, aren't you guys supposed to be the world's greatest heros or something?
Who hired you?
Damian being the grumpy lil kid that he is holds a grudge and decides to not accept any calls or video chats from his family or tell them about Hawkmoth because that's what you get when you send someone across the world against their will.
(and because of plot convenience shhh)
Anyways, Damian goes to school as instantly adds Lila onto his mental list of people he needs to get rid of.
I mean, seriously, he's only been is the room for what, 15 seconds and he's already getting a migraine?
Great. Juusssttt great.
He sits in the back of the class with what seems to be the only person with brain cells in this room.
The dark haired girl just looks over and sees the disgust at Lila written all over his face and gives him a silent empathetic nod.
'This is unfortunately normal here.' she tries to convey through the small action.
He just nods back to show his understanding before turning around to observe the others.
In a few minutes Ms. Bustier walks in the room and asks him to introduce himself to the class.
It looks like the teacher never told the class that they were getting a new student because they all have to do double takes when they realize that there's a new face in the room.
He gives them the bare basics, telling them that his name is Damian Grayson, he's from America, and that he doesn't want any of them to talk to him before sitting down.
Clearly the teacher wanted him to say more or scold him for being so rude but a glare shut her up.
Later during a break period Lila tries to flirt with him and brags all about how she's met so many different celebrities and her achievements.
He tells her off and tries to move away but her nails are digging into his arms as she tries to convince him that he should stay away from Marinette.
Before he can maim her, the dark haired girl comes out from behind him and starts spraying Lila down like an unruly cat with some sort of strong smelling liquid from a spray bottle.
Lila screeches and stomps away.
When he turns to his hero the girl explains.
"It's a mixture of shredded lemon, expired maple syrup, vinegar, and pomegranate juice. I call it People Repellant but Thot Begone works too. Oh, and I'm Marinette by the way."
He eyes her hand before shaking it.
"Damian, though I assume you already know that. Can I get some of that by the way? I know a couple insufferable annoyances that would benefit from a spray down.
Marinette just blinks for a second before she bursts out laughing and that was the start of a great friendship.
Together they:
Make fun of Lila in the back of class.
Help eachother with homework (they only cheat off eachother when they REALLY need help)
Prank Lila in odd ways (Hey, just because she found hundreds of furbies hidden around her house that turn on one by one in the middle of the night effectively scaring the crap out of her when she's trying to sleep doesn't mean that it's their fault. She had it coming.)
Break a couple laws (shhhhhhh. Those toy stores don't need those furbies anyways).
Dare eachother over stupid things (they still insist that the cereal incident was caused by the other).
And overall become closer as friends.
They bring out the overdramatic chaotic gremlin child in eachother.
One time when Damian goes over to Marinette's place to work on a project he finds her singing a Disney song to herself on her balcony.
This isn't the first time they've caught eachother singing.
One time Marinette caught Damian in the art room at school humming one of the many annoyingly cheesy and catchy songs that Dick likes to listen to.
Despite him explaining the embarrassing situation to her she still teased him for weeks after.
He'll never get to live it down.
Damian shakes his head to get rid of the flashback when a devious smirk spreads across his face as a revenge plan comes to mind.
After carefully placing his stuff on the floor he sneakily makes his way across the space until he's right behind her.
That's when he joins in.
Screaming at the top of his lungs at first, effectively giving her a mini heart attack before eventually quieting down to a normal singing volume.
She glares at him, annoyed by his loud and obnoxious entrance before she starts singing again.
They eventually end up full Disney movie dramatically performing around her balcony with dance moves and over dramatic acting.
Is it bad that actual birds and other animals are appearing and joining in?
Damian totally kept one of the pigeons.
He named it Dolores.
(He later trained Dolores to attack Rossi on sight.)
When they're finished they end up on the floor out of breath.
They stay like that for a few minutes before Damian sits up.
"That. That was fun. I don't think I've actually ever sang before."
Marinette jolts up in suprise and turns to face him.
"Really? I never would've guessed. You have a really nice singing voice."
He would deny till his dying breath that he blushed when she said that but he covers it up with a smirk.
"Well I guess that's just because yours is so terrible in comparison."
He squawks when she jabs a finger in his side.
"Pshh. As if. Besides, my singing skills can't be worse then your gaming skills." She challenges with a cheeky smile.
"ExCuSe mE?!"
And that's how they spend the rest of the day playing video games, leaving the unfinished project to be completed on a later day.
Good thing it isn't due until 2 weeks time.
After a couple of hours playing video games, creating many possible Lila murder plans, eating pastries, and joking around, it's time for him to leave.
As Damian left for his place he got a feeling that something big was gonna happen.
Marinette also got the feeling but they both ignored it.
Little did they know, someone just happened to walk by and starstruck by the amazing singing they recorded the performance before posting it on the internet.
Imagine the duo's suprise when they wake up the next day to find themselves trending on the internet.
Luckily the video quality was pretty trash so their faces weren't identifiable but the audio was loud and clear.
The world was talking about the cute couple singing to their hearts desire on a balcony. If that's not cliche and adorable then the world doesn't know what is.
The assumption about their relationship status left them looking like tomatos but that didn't stop them from wonder why they didn't notice a creep recording them.
Damn Disney songs and their unnatural ability to distract people.
Of course Lila took advantage of the rising popularity of the video and talked about how she taught the two people in the video how to sing and gave them tips.
The two just walked past the idiot squad and sat down in their seats, making a mental note to come up with a prank later, when the akuma alarms came on.
They fall into their normal routine of Marinette running out to find a place to transform as Damian covers for her.
Oops did I forget to mention that Damian found out her identity because she crashed through his window in the middle of the night still transformed and asked him what's the answer to question 24 in their science homework because she just defeated an akuma by herself and was running on 20 minutes of sleep?
My bad.
Anyways it turns out today was the day Marinette had officially had enough of Chat's bullcrap.
It was gonna be a normal akuma situation.
Ladybug trying to fight the poor butterfly victim while chat noir either doesn't show up, tries to do everything on his own to impress her and ruins the whole plan, or just watches and complains about how she needs to get over her denial and date him BUT
This time he decided to actively try to push her in the akuma's way therefore putting her in SO MUCH MORE DANGER than she was already in.
Now she had to dodge out of the akuma's way AND CHAT'S!
WhAt ThE fUdGe?!?!
You think possibly killing Ladybug and trying to force her to beg for you to save her is gonna make her like you?!?
Just how hard did you hit your head when Gabriel dropped you on the floor when you were 2?
After the akuma was eventually defeated Ladybug told Chat to meet her on an abandoned rooftop that night because they needed to talk.
Chat being the oblivious person that he is (I swear I don't actually hate chat noir, this is for the plot I'm sorry) thought that it was for a love confession and became overly smug before leaving.
Making sure that he isn't following her, Marinette meets up with Damian at his place (school's over because of the attack) and asks him to help.
Later that day when the two miraculous holders meet up Ladybug distracts the Catboy by flirting with him while Damian uses his ninja skills for something other than sneaking up on her and giving Marinette mini heart attacks.
From behind he quickly hits a pressure point causing the other boy to fall unconscious.
Using her ALMIGHTY GUARDIAN OF THE MIRACULOUS powers, Ladybug takes Adrien's ring away and places a spell on him that makes it so he will never be able to use another miraculous ever again.
After they take Adrien home Marinette gives Damian the ring and Night Prowler is born.
He promises to do everything in his power to make sure that Selina and his family doesn't find out for the sake of his pride.
We'll see how that goes.
Night Prowler first officially appeared during an akuma named 'Break Dancer'.
Ironically, she was a ballerina that had to drop out of the finals in a competition because she broke her right leg the day before the show.
She could turn civilians into back up dancers and forced them to perform against their will.
They also worked as minions who would attack the duo for her while she stayed a safe distance away.
It was pretty obvious that the akumatized item was the music box held inside the bag that Break Dancer had slung around her shoulders but the real question was how could they get to it without becoming attacked by the backup dancer or becoming one of them.
Luckily (eheheh), a car with an open window playing music just happened to pass by before driving off.
Before it drove off, the music coming from the car was loud enough to play over the music box which caused some of the minions to become free again and run off.
Ladybug called her lucky charm and a Bobby pin landed in her hand.
As she looked around she noticed a store a couple blocks away that had a couple radios.
Unfortunately, the store was locked and closed.
Fortunately, she knew how to pick locks and a Bobby pin did come from her lucky charm soooo......
Who is she to deny literal gods.
They break into the store and grab a radio, and a speaker and rush over to where the akuma was causing chaos.
They turn on the radio, connect the speaker and turn the volume on as loud as it can go before flipping through the stations for a good song.
If they're gonna fight with music in the background they're gonna be picky about it and wont settle for anything other than epic.
While fighting they eventually get swept up in the music and end up singing along.
It's nothing less than full on majestic.
When the fight is over and the akuma is purified they find out that someone recorded it and posted it on the internet as well.
Now everyone knows that the beloved hero of Paris and her new partner were the two people singing on that balcony.
Ummmmm.....
Good thing that the video quality was trash right?
If it weren't for that their identities would've been busted the moment they started singing in hero form.
Luckily there aren't many people other than Damian that know what Marinette's singing voice sounds like so they're okay.
Well.... They WERE okay,
Until a certain rockstar and his agent came across the two videos and put two and two together.
So now King Sting (bee!jagged) and Peridot (turtle!penny) have joined the team.
Poor Penny, now she has to deal with two gremlin children and a some sort of bizarre man-child.
The next akuma confused the group quite a bit.
He didn't really do anything but sit on a rooftop waiting for the miracle team to show up.
They were all suspicious of him at first but when they did reveal themselves to him he explained his situation.
He was akumatized because his favorite rock band broke up but he didn't really want to take their miraculouses away.
He just asked if they could perform another song for him and he would give his akumatized item to them.
They all sorta looked at eachother and collectively went 'screw it why not' and sang another song.
If they were great before, they are absolutely AMAZING now.
Well that's what happens when you add a famous rockstar to a team of singing superheros I guess.
The akuma was blown away and true to his word handed over the rolled up picture in his pocket and was purified despite of Hawkmoth's nagging.
Haha screw you Hawky.
This time the ordeal was recorded by a news station and the 'hand over the akuma in exchange for a song' thing became a trend.
There were still normal akuma's that didn't follow follow it but those were far flung between.
It seems like Hawkmoth was getting annoyed by this so there started being less akuma attacks over the months.
Because of this some people were actively trying to get upset to attract one of the purple butterflies.
They traded one good thing for another I guess.
To stop that from happening the group started performing in public as superheros during concerts and festivals.
Because of this they became quite well known outside of Paris as well.
Is it ironic that more people know them as a band rather than a superhero team now?
When Marinette learned that they could change what their superhero costumes looked like if they put enough will into it she squealed.
Marinette designs superhero performance costumes for them whenever they have a festival to play at.
Whenever asked about their outfits they always reply with MDC.
Marinette's business gets really popular after that.
And since no one knows who MDC really is, she doesn't have to worry about the whole "Oh no me and my family are gonna be in danger!" thing
It's a win win!
Overtime they basically become a second (or third for some people) family to eachother.
Damian becomes more 'kid like' and open to others,
Marinette becomes more confident and overall happier,
Jagged gets to hang out with his awesome niece and her 'maybe more than just a friend',
And Penny gets a new outlet for stress and has so many more crazy stories to tell people.
One day while she's in the living room on the sofa watching 'The AristoCats' Damian just barges into the room and dramatically flops over onto of her.
He just lays there with his head in her lap and the rest of his body sprawled on the couch.
After everything that has happened this is normal for them now.
Without asking any questions or talking at all they just watch the movie together with the occasional remark or quip between them.
Around half way through the movie Jagged kicks down the door, effectively scaring the crap out of the two teens, while Penny follows behind him with an apologetic look on her face.
At first Jagged was yelling about something having to do with'Fang' and 'Dragon' and 'Miraculous' but after taking in the domestic atmosphere of the room he just sits down on the floor and joins in on watching the movie.
Penny, shaking her head in both amusement and exasperation, sits down on another chair and does the same.
While combing through Damian's hair with her fingers Marinette looks around the room.
'My life can't get any more complicated, can it?'
Oh boy, she just jinxed it.
This is just an idea I've had bouncing around in my head for awhile and I couldn't resist the urge to write it out. I AM planning on making a part 2 so if you like this keep an eye out for that. I'm by no means a fast writer though so it will take a while. But then again not many people will probably read this soo.... Yeah.

Well that happened.
B!dbwm 2020
Day 6: Meeting the Justice League
Marinette paced in her bedroom in Wayne Manor, running her hands through her hair as Damian laid on her bed and played animal crossing while completely ignoring her freakout.
“Dami, how did I get myself into this mess?!” she asked, frantically pulling at her pigtails. Her brother snorted, rolling his eyes unsympathetically.
“You never use your brain until after you’ve already made important decisions,” he responded ruthlessly. “All of your mental capacity goes towards planning out completely inane things like birthday parties and actually caring about what our even more idiotic class thinks about you, so when you actually need it you don’t have any intelligence left to spare.”
Marinette turned her eyes on him, the blue lightening to an icy color in her panicked annoyance as she glared at him. “Gee, thanks. I can always trust my darling brother to have my back,” she said sarcastically, to which Damian only smirked.
“When it matters? Of course. But in this case, watching the fallout will be entertaining and not at all dangerous to your physical safety.”
Damian and Marinette had been sent to live in Paris a few years back, about a year after Damian had come back to life. Marinette had been far too attached to the twin she had thought she had lost for good, and had nearly driven him crazy with how overprotective she had gotten. Right alongside that, Damian had started to become even more stifled by Bruce’s own protectiveness and distrust of him, so he quit being Robin and they were sent to PAris to try and “recover” from their “trauma” somewhere “safe and peaceful, under the jurisdiction of the JLE.”
Yeah, that was a great idea. Up until they found out the hard way that the JLE had up and abandoned the Paris headquarters and taken up unofficial residence in England somewhere. And then Hawkmoth showed up. And of course, of fucking course, an old chinese man from the pacifistic organization that acted as a direct foil to the League where they grew up somehow decided that they, out of everyone in Paris, were the best people he could find to wield the power of tiny gods to save the city.
Sure, he was right, but Damian chewed him a new asshole as soon they met for trusting complete unvetted strangers with the gods of creation and destruction.
And now Marinette had finally managed to leak to Tim, who then spread the calculated slip of information to Bruce, that Paris had had a supervillain for the past few years and the JLE had been neglecting their jobs. Which turned into Batman setting up a meeting with Ladybug and Chat Noir (Damian had tried to tell everyone his name was Chance Noir, Dark Luck, NOT ‘chat noir,’ since the last thing he needed was to be associated with Selina in any way. Nobody listened, and now he was stuck with being called Chat Noir). They had a lovely discussion about all the shit Hawkmoth did, their lack of resources, and the lack of assistance/straight up refusal to believe their word that came from the JLE.
Which led to Batman inviting Ladybug to meet the Justice League to debrief on the Paris situation. Damian had been invited as Chat Noir, but had taken the smart path and opted out. Now Marinette had to not only go to the Justice League as Ladybug, but also as Batman's daughter Hummingbird, who was being brought in for consultation along with Damian as Robin.
“I’m gonna die again,” Marinette continued her catastrophizing, Tikki and Plagg sharing a glance at once another from their spot on her writing desk. “I’m gonna die of total embarrassment. Don’t bother resurrecting me Dami, I’m just gonna die all over again once Dad finds out who we are and kills me.”
Damian snorted. “Hah. Father killing anything, good one,” he snarked back blandly. “You’ll be fine. Remember, you’re the planner and I’m the one with actual skill. You have the strangest ability when it comes to getting out of situations like these by the skin of your teeth,” Damian grinned at something on the screen of his Switch before continuing. “You’ll be fine. And if you sell me out, I’ll bury you myself.”
Marinette stuck her tongue out at him. Neither of them wanted their dad to find out that they were LAdybug and Chat noir, especially since they had already explained to him the basics of the source of their powers. They were both certain that Bruce would completely ignore how well they had been handling the situation on their own for almost five years and jump straight to the “my murderous children should not be left with the powers of destruction and creation at their fingertips,” line of thought. Bruce had never trusted them alone before, why now?
“At least help me, shaqiq?” Marinette asked, walking over and plopping onto the ground next to her bed, so she could look straight into her twin’s bright green eyes. At first, he refused to even look at her, completely unmoved. Marinette hummed mischievously, a habit that was the source of her Gotham codename. “If I go down, I’m taking you with me.”
Damian finally huffed, scowling. “Fine.”
He knew better than to doubt her. Marinette always got her way when she decided she was wronged and needed to even the score for something. Always.
—* — * — * — * — *
Hummingbird. The smallest Bat, by far, and the fastest when it came to natural speed. Hard to spot, with the sole giveaway that a short playful hum could be heard if she thought she had her prey cornered. She was hardly ever wrong.
She had also been temporarily retired as she and Robin moved to some undisclosed location to get away from the vigilante life for a while. Or so Batman said. And for the most part, aside from the occasional League gathering here or glimpse that they got of the two’s civilian personas if someone visited the manor while they were there, Robin and Hummingbird stayed retired. Heroes who knew them wondered if Robin had finally given up and settled down somehow, if he was even capable of it. And they all speculated that Hummingbird was so scarred from Robin’s death that she wouldn't ever be able to leave his side again, retired or not.
Seeing Hummingbird in her navy blue and black uniform, almost identical to her brother’s but for the thick navy blue scarf that covered her neck and lower face, everyone in the Justice League who knew her thought they were right. She stood there, older and only a little taller, never leaving Robin’s side as they traded secretive glances and hand signals only they understood. They didn’t make any attempt to stray from one another’s side.
But Jon Kent, superboy and Damian’s oldest friend, was of a different mind. He had been by Marinette’s side after Damian died, and by both of theirs when he was brought back. This was not the same terrified dependence he had seen back then. His eyes narrowed.
The twins were scheming, and nobody else would notice until it was too late.
Quicker than they could blink, he was by their side with his trademark smile. “Hey guys! Long time no see!”
They gave the half-kryptonian identical deadpan expressions, sighing in tandem. “You facetimed us last night. And you flew to Paris to visit us last week,” Damian pointed out with a raised eyebrow. “Despite us expressly telling you not to.”
Jon shrugged. “If I listened to everything you two said all the time, we’d never have any fun. So, excited to meet this Ladybug girl? Dad says that your dad won’t tell him anything about her until she shows up.”
Hummingbird and Robin traded looks before Marinette answered. “Not really. We see Ladybug in action in Paris all the time—”
“She even saved Marinette from an Akuma who was obsessed with wanting to date her,” Damian interrupted with an insufferable grin. Marinette elbowed him hard, making her brother wince before chuckling at her red face.
“I could have saved myself just fine! It’s not my fault we have to lay low, or we might get kicked out of Paris for being past vigilantes!” Marinette argued, voice high as she protested how helpless Damian had made her sound. She puffed her cheeks out in annoyance. Damian’s grin widened into a predatory smirk that showed off teeth.
“Oh? What about that one time that Tsurugi got akumatized, and Chat Noir had to save you because she wanted to duel you for the right to date me and you were cornered?”
Marinette growled, throwing up her hands in frustration before smacking Damian’s shoulder angrily. He only laughed at her. “I’m leaving! Come find me when Ladybug finishes explaining the things we already know!” with that, a fuming and embarrassed Hummingbird stormed out of the room.
“Huh,” Flash remarked, leaning against the wall. “She looks a lot better than the last time I saw her. And she actually left your immediate vicinity. Willingly,” he remarked to Robin, who glared at the speedster.
“It’s been almost six years. If you think my sister is weak enough to be that thoroughly encumbered by the past for so long, you are greatly underestimating her,” he looked around to see almost all of the gathered League members staring at him. He grit his teeth and looked over at his father. “When is this woman going to arrive, anyway? You’d think she would actually be on time.”
Just then, a portal opened in the middle of the room and Ladybug walked through. Quickly shedding the brown costume that allowed her to teleport in, she was left in just her black and red-spotted combat suit. Seeing as they finally found out how to alter the costumes the Kwami gave them, Ladybug’s hair now sat in a braided bun on the crown of her head and her costume was made to look more like Nightwing’s with the ladybug symbol on her upper chest and between her shoulder blades on her back, with black gloves that reached up to her elbows and black knee-high boots with red stripes up the sides.
The brightly colored heroine smiled, seeming to light up the room with cheer that nearly put Jon to shame (it took her awhile to perfect that particular smile. She actually based it off Jon himself, and Damian was impressed by how accurate she had been able to make it over time. Not that he would say as much out loud).
That was when Diana started choking on thin air, and Damian and Marinette both realized that they had overlooked something rather major.
Hippolyta had been a Ladybug. Diana had met Tikki. Diana knew how to see past Tikki’s glamour.
At first, Ladybug tried to play it off. Maybe Diana would catch on and help her out. So she walked over, holding her hand out for Wonderwoman to shake and putting on another wide smile for good measure.
“Oh my Kwamii! It is so good to finally meet you, Wonderwoman, Tikki told me so much about you and your mother! Would you like to talk later—”
“Marinette Wayne, how in Zeus’ name did you become the new Ladybug?” Wonderwoman instantly yelled, making Marinette wilt. Damian tried backing away slowly, only for Diana’s eyes to then shoot over to him and narrow dangerously. “And you! I knew I felt something weird, but now I can pinpoint it. You are wielding the Black Cat! One of you explain what is going on. Now.”
Ladybug and Robin instantly looked away, getting ready to make a quick escape right as their father walked up behind Robin, putting a firm hand on his shoulders. As always when Batman smiled, it sent a shiver down everyone’s spine. Marinette gulped a little.
“I agree. Marinette, I forgot to tell you that we changed the locations of the League security cameras last night,” shit they were so busted. Bruce must have suspected them of something from the very beginning, stupid world’s greatest detective instincts— “But now that we have confirmed that my suspicions were correct, we can save that discussion for later. First, let’s debrief on the Paris situation like we agreed. Then, you two will explain why you decided not to tell me while you help each other clean the entire Batcave tonight.”
Damian didn’t open his hand for the entire meeting. He and Marinette made eye contact as soon as everyone sat down for a suddenly very uneasy debrief, silently agreeing that they would not let their father take away their Miraculous. They finally had names and reputations of their own, away from the Batclan and their father’s influence. They had learned more about themselves and what they were capable of in those past years as Miraculous wielders than in all the years of the rest of their lives combined. They wouldn’t give it up, not even for Bruce’s approval.
But when they got back to the Manor and began cleaning up the batcave as they had been ordered, they were surprised when Bruce made no mention of taking their jewelry back at all. And he stayed up with them, silently reviewing things on the Batcomputer as they cleaned. It could almost be considered family bonding.
By the time the twins were done cleaning the sun was about to rise, and finally their father spoke up for the first time since they had begun their punishment chore.
“I watched days worth of your Paris battles before going out to meet Ladybug and Chat Noir in person,” he said without ever turning around from his spot at the computer. “I was impressed. I still am. The teamwork was flawless, and the Parisian heroes never used deadly force. They even did their best to provide emotional support to the victims who were akumatized. I thought for sure at least one of you two would have been victims yourself, with all that you’ve been through. Anything can be a trigger for you, anything can make you vulnerable to Hawkmoth,” Bruce paused to take a sip of coffee. He didn’t have to look at his children’s reflections in the face of the Batcomputer to know they were drinking in every word he said. He did anyway, allowing a small smile that they couldn’t see to form on his lips.
“I scoured through every akuma attack one by one, trying to find the one where one or both of you were the ones possessed. But I only found more reasons to be impressed by the heroes instead. By the time I was done looking through every scrap of video I could find, I had a feeling I knew who you were. Hearing your voices in person cemented it further, but I wanted video proof. So, knowing that Marinette would have forgotten about agreeing to accompany me to a JL meeting, I asked Ladybug to debrief us.”
“You had us from the start,” Marinette sighed, shoulders slumping. But Damian said nothing, eyes wide as he picked up on the nuances of what Bruce was saying that Marinette was too tired to catch on to.
“I’m proud of you two.”
Then, even Marinette froze. The twins had identical expressions of shock on their faces, and Bruce finally turned around to look at them properly. For a long while, the three of them only made silent eye contact as dozens of emotions flew through the air silently, but understood. Then Damian and Marinette straightened up just and silently. Damian nodded to his father, Marinette gave him a vulnerable little smile, and then they both backed out and went to head to sleep.
And once they were gone, Bruce sighed in content. Seems his meet-the-Justice-League plan worked out perfectly. He had finally managed to say something right to his two most troublesome children, for the first time. He leaned back in his chair, gazing up at the dark bat-infested cave ceiling as one more tiny grin played on his face, a little melancholy this time.
Guess they never needed him to help them find their inner hero, after all. They had become even better at the whole hero thing than he was, and all on their own. Bruce closed his eyes, not noticing when Alfred draped a blanket over his body and left the Cave with a soft chuckle.

Project Pink
Sorry Y’all this one got away from me again and I wrote it while tired, again. Anyways here is some badly written shit and have a good period of existence in the universe!
Oh god my brain is going brrrrrrrr
Techno and Wilbur.
It had always been Techno and Wilbur Soode against the world.
Some would make jokes about how it was because they were identical twins, they got ridiculous questions like ‘If I pinch him will you feel it?’ or ‘Can you guys mentally speak- like through your minds?’ They would roll their eyes and say no, sometimes they’d joke around acting like they could read each other's mind or something stupid but it was rare.
They went through multiple foster homes, refusing to be separated from each other, if they ever were they’d find a way back to the other, because it was them against the world.
Then they got placed with Phil Wingraft.
He was different.
They had been through a few foster homes, some were good, some were okay, and one was really bad but Phil was different.
He treated them like they were normal, he was gentle but not patronizing or condescending, he would joke around with them but also became a person they could trust.
He took the time to learn about their interests, he got Wilbur a guitar and took Techno to the library every week. He took the time to recognize the difference between Wilbur’s crazy fluffy hair and Techno more tame but still wavy curls. Wilbur was taller then Techno by half a head but from a distance it was hard to tell. They both had the same shaped face and the same cinnamon colored eyes, the main difference was Techno had glasses.
They stayed with Phil for a year before they were officially adopted and became a family. A two years later he asked them how they would feel if he started fostering another kid, named Tommy.
“I’d be okay with that,” Techno said, shrugging, he hadn’t really processed it but he’d go along with it. Wilbur agreed too, nodding along, it seemed like it would make Phil happy so why not?
“That’s great, it’ll take a few days for the paperwork to go through, then he’ll be with us!” Phil was grinning, this was making Phil happy so this could make Wilbur happy.
Later they were in their room when Techno kicked the top bunk Wilbur was laying on.
“What’s wrong?” He asked, rolling his head halfway off the bed, trying to look at his brother.
“What?” Wilbur asked, looking over the railing.
“Don’t be like that, I know that look, you look like you just ate a suspicious lemonhead,”
“I don’t have a look like that!”
“Stop avoiding the question!” His face softened, “What’s wrong?”
“I’m just worried about the new kid, Tommy, I-I don’t know, it just makes me worried, what if it changes things?”
Techno was quiet, he bit his lip.
“I get that, it makes sense but I don’t think anything bad will happen. Phil is great and I don’t think he would push us away, he’s not like that. Who knows, maybe we can have a little brother,”
Wilbur huffed out a small laugh, smiling softly, “Yeah, a little brother, that would be nice.”
Techno sighed contently, shifting back onto his bed. They laid in silence for a moment when Wilbur laughed.
“I mean, it’ll be nice for you, I already have one.”
“Two minutes Wilbur! Two minutes!”
Tommy joined them 4 days later, a little blonde dweeb with baby blue eyes. He was loud, annoying, and hyper. He would talk loudly when Techno was trying to do homework, he untuned Wilbur’s guitar, he said it was an accident but they weren’t really sure, and was overall like a bull in a china shop.
Techno was gonna pull his own hair out, Wilbur had come very close to locking him out of the apartment, they were both going to kill him.
It took them two weeks to fall in change completely.
It started when Tommy asked Techno for some help in his homework, it actually shocked Techno, the kid who was so loud and proud of his accomplishments shyly asking if Techno could help him with his math work was interesting, to say the least.
Techno almost said no, almost teased him, ‘What? The Great TommyInnit needs help? I thought you knew everything!’
Almost.
Tommy looked different, fingers nervously tapping on the packet, trying not to crickle it, eyes darting around, even his voice was shaky.
It reminded Techno when he’d ask an old foster parent for help, only they’d turn him away, telling him to figure it out, that they were too busy.
He didn’t want to be like that.
“Sure, what are you learning?” He pushed some of his papers aside, making room for Tommy’s. Tommy grabbed a chair and sat next to him.
“Algebra,” He said, frowning, “I don’t get it- it’s just so weird,” He put his chin in his hands.
“Don’t worry, Algebra is super confusing-”
“Yeah right, you get everything, you’re really smart!”
“You’re smart too,” Techno offered, not sure what to say.
“Then name a time I’ve been smart!”
Techno short circuited.
“See!” Tommy gestured wildly.
“Tommy I’ve known you for two weeks, I’m sure you’ve done plenty of-”
Tommy groaned, “Nevermind, forget it-” He slid off the chair only for Techno to reach over and grab his arm.
“No, I’m sorry, just let me help,”
Tommy made a face but sat back down, “Fine.”
It had been 2 hours.
“This is useless! I’ll never get it!” Tommy stuck his hands in his hair.
“Just try this last problem, you’re so close!”
“No! I’ll just mess it up again!”
“You don’t know that, just try again!”
Reluctantly, Tommy picked his pencil back up and started on the equation. Techno turned back to his paper, finishing up a definition sheet, Tommy’s mumbles drifting in the background.
“Then add the two to get 16?” He looked up at Techno, who closed his textbook and looked over Tommy’s worksheet, covered in half erased scribbles, doodles, and pencil shavings.
“That’s right,” He grinned, reading over Tommy’s work again, “You did it,”
“Wait seriously? I got it right?”
“Yeah!”
“Yes! I did it!” Tommy pumped a fist in the air, cheering. “Thanks Techno!”
“Anytime nerd,”
Wilbur had been messing around with his guitar, sitting on his bunk, scribbling down music notes on a scrap of paper. He’d write a few phrases down and sing them softly to himself, strumming a few chords.
Scowling, he erased half the page, grumbling to himself; “It doesn’t sound right, why can’t I get it-”
“I thought it sounded nice,” Someone said from the bunk beneath him. Wilbur jumped, yelping, he hit his head on the ceiling. He leaned over the railing to see Tommy sitting on Techno’s bunk, limbs tangled around the latter.
“What are you doing? I thought you were out with Techno and Phil!” Wilbur said, sounding harsher and more shrill then he meant to, Tommy shrugged, “I didn’t want to go to the library today.”
“Wish I knew that beforehand,” He grumbled, going back to his music sheet.
“You seem mad,” Tommy observed, twisting his arm around the metal.
“Yeah I’m mad,”
“Why?”
“‘Cause I can’t get these stupid lyrics to sound right and you just scared the shit- I mean crap- out of me.”
Tommy cackled, “I’m telling Phil you swore!”
“Shut up,” Wilbur grumbled, gripping his pencil tighter. Tommy tipped his head to the side, “I don’t get why you’re angry, those lyrics sounded really nice.”
Wilbur paused, “You think so?”
“Yeah! It was really cool!” Tommy said, starting to come up the latter, he climbed onto the bed with Wilbur, “I liked it a lot!”
Wilbur smiled softly, “Thanks,”
“Can you play it again?”
“Oh, uh, sure,” Wilbur sat up straighter, putting the guitar in a better position , “I don’t remember all the lyrics though,”
He started playing, slowly his nerves of playing in front of someone else started to slip away as he fell into the rhythm and flow of the music. He looked up briefly a few times seeing Tommy, smiling widely, eyes filled with admiration. He finished the song and looked at Tommy, who immediately leaned forwards.
“That was so good! Write it down so you don’t forget! Wilbur that was epic!”
“Really?”
“Definitely!” Tommy leaned back, then quietly added, “And I’m sorry I messed up your guitar the other week, it wasn’t on purpose,” He trailed off.
Wilbur shrugged, “It’s fine, you didn’t do any real damage, just messed up the tuning,”
“I was messing with it cause I wanna learn how to play, could you maybe show me sometime?”
“Maybe, I’m still considered an amateur on most standards,”
“Seriously?!”
Tommy went to the same school as them, he was in the sixth grade while Techno and Wilbur were in 8th, so they saw each other in the halls every once and awhile. The one thing Tommy hadn’t been able to learn, despite the fact he had learned algebra, basketball, and some of the guitar, was how to tell Techno and Wilbur apart when they weren’t standing directly next to each other.
They had tried everything, Tommy would try to memorize the different clothes they wore each morning, the small differences in their hair, how they walked or moved around but nothing worked.
One day when they were in the car on the way home from school, Tommy was pouting, or ‘stewing’, as Phil would say. He barely talked the whole ride home.
“Alright I’ll bite,” Wilbur said, turning around in the front seat, “What’s wrong?”
Tommy frowned at him, “You both completely ignored me all day! I tried to get your attention so many times!”
Techno raised an eyebrow, “I never once heard you call my name,”
“Me either,” Wilbur confirmed, Tommy looked skeptical.
“How do I know that you guys aren’t messing with me?”
“He’s got you guys there,” Phil said from the driver's seat.
“We weren’t ignoring him! I swear, you must have gotten us mixed up again!” Wilbur insisted, waving his hand.
Tommy groaned, “Why is it so hard to tell you guys apart! Hey, could you just make it easier and not be identical twins?”
Phil cackled in the front, gripping the steering wheel tighter.
“It-It doesn’t work like that Tommy,” Techno snorted, half covering his mouth with his hand.
“Oh come on! Just try it!”
Tommy was trying, he really was, but it was so hard to tell them apart. He knew Wilbur’s hair was crazier and he was Taller then Techno and that Techno had glasses but it didn’t help at all.
He’d go to ask Techno for help with homework only to find Wilbur, who also didn’t know jackshit about algerbra, or if he wanted to do something stupid he’d end up accidentally telling his plan to Techno who would immediately veto the idea.
After awhile he just decided to just try and slow down and see if one of the clones had glasses or not and that worked for him, sort of.
A few months later and they officially adopted Tommy into the family, he was an official Wingraft.
They went out and celebrated, laughing and making stupid jokes, it was nice. Then the next day Techno went to the store by himself, taking some of the money he had saved up from chores and searched a bottle of pink hair dye.
Picking out a color was surprisingly difficult, there were so many choices, taffy, bubblegum, creamy, carnation, but he eventually decided on ‘Rose Pink’. He bought a bottle then hid it under his bed, he needed to wait for the right time to do it because the dye had to sit for at least 30 minutes before he could rinse it out.
Phil was working late on Wednesday and Wilbur was going to see a movie with friends after school so he just had to lock Tommy out of the bathroom for like 45 minutes, which he would have no problem doing, and everything would be set.
The day rolled around and he found out that dying your hair is easier said then done, so much easier.
Techno set down so many paper towels in hopes to catch anything that might drip, then there was the process of making sure he got it all and wearing the plastic gloves made everything much harder to handle but eventually he was able to get the dye in place.
He set a timer on his phone then pulled out a book, hoping Tommy wouldn’t try to bust down the door, it didn’t lock but Techno had taken a rubber band from the door handle and wrapped it around the facut to try and give some semblance of a lock. All he had to do was wait.
Tommy was sitting on the couch watching TV when Phil arrived home, Wilbur in tow.
“Hey Tommy, how was your day?”
“Pretty good, nothing really interesting happened though,” He responded, “But Techno has been in the bathroom for like an hour,”
Wilbur raised an eyebrow and Phil asked, “Is he okay?”
“I guess so, I heard the shower running just a minute ago,”
Phil walked over to the bathroom door and knocked, “Tech? You okay in there?”
Tommy heard the door swing open and Techno say, “Yeah I’m fine,” Phil didn’t say anything but Wilbur started laughing loudly, throwing his head back. Tommy turned around on the couch and saw Techno standing there, towel around his shoulders to stop water from dripping onto his shirt, hair the brightest shade of pink Tommy had ever seen.
