Someone getting upset over me saying in a post that I don’t like the r-slur being used: “this can be said about any slur. Don’t put your opinion on other people”

I want to be quite frankly clear, I don’t give a flying fuck about your opinion on the r-slur if you aren’t intellectually disabled, and even then, I don’t really give a fuck either.

The r-slur has been used to dehumanize intellectually disabled people and severely developmentally disabled people for decades. For you to ignore that, is just you wallowing in your own ignorance. If you don’t give a fuck then fine, but don’t get upset when I get upset. I’m an intellectually disabled adult. I’m allowed to have my opinion. So sit down and shut the fuck up.

I am Black and am familiar with the term, but I'm also gonna post this as sort of a PSA because I've also seen it misused before by white folks who didn't know its history. The same is true for bulldagger (which is derived from the same term "bulldiker")- both words are generally used to refer to butch lesbians but especially Black butches specifically.

The exact etymology of the terms are unknown but the dehumanizing implication of "bull" is apparent. It is a term that, like others, has been reclaimed, but its use is complicated by its history of racialized usage; terms like "stud" are similarly racialized.

There's nothing wrong with reclaiming slurs, but be mindful!! Not all words are for all people, and some terms have more complex connotations than just meaning queer. Do your research!

Watching "When L.O.S.E.R.S. Attack" and on one hand I want to get in my feelings about how Timmy is, like, 10 and living in paranoia. Like he already had Vicky to be paranoid about and his fariy godparents saved him from that but they also inadvertantly brought Dark Laser, Crocker, and Foop's ire on him.

It’s been a running joke that a massive fan favorite always gets evicted as the second juror. I’d argue that it started in bb20 but that would mean including Kat so imma say it really started in bb22 with Da’Vonne but only really gained traction after Joseph got evicted during Dyre Fest. Other HGs affected by said curse would include Derek X in BB23 and Cory in BB25, and if noms look the way they are leading to be tomorrow someone may be joining this esteemed panel on Thursday

Can not say enough how damaging it is to hear this ALL. THE. TIME.

As someone who’s called slurs, as someone who literally has a diagnosis that WAS a slur at a point, can not say enough how utterly terrible this is. Being called a slur is damaging. Being called it repeatedly is damaging. Being called things that resemble slurs so people can “get around it” is damaging!!!

You would not rather be called a slur over being called “neurospicy” or “neurodivergent”. You would not. Being called a slur is far worse.

Being called a slur to your face is the upmost damaging thing besides being attacked. It is dehumanizing, it says that the person doesn’t see you as human, that they see you less than their fucking pet dog.
