His feet touch down silently in the front of the estate as Byakuya flash stepped here from the 6th. His haori flapping in the breeze behind him.

“Welcome home Lord Kuchiki.” Miwa, one of the lead house attendants, greeted as usual with a low bow upon arrival. To which he nodded respectfully.

“Where is [Y/N]?” Byakuya asked. Having crossed the threshold and realizing that the presence of his wife was missing.

“Lady Kuchiki had an urgent matter to attend to and was called away to assist, my lord.” Miwa replied. “She won’t be back until this evening.” The captain hummed in acknowledgment and disapproval. If only he had known that. He would have stayed at work. “The lady did ask me to give you this.” He looked at the servant fully now to see a neatly wrapped package in their hands. “She made this before she left and requested I give it to you, my lord.”

Byakuya took that package, wrapped in a pink cloth with fine stitching he recognized as hers, and opened it. “A bento?” How uncharacteristically odd. And, he supposed, charming.

‘My love,’ He read from the note attached to the lid. Feeling his cheeks warm at the somehow intimate nature of her words in print. ‘Please do not be cross with me as I had to rush off and miss our usual lunch date. Duty calls. Please enjoy this bento I made and think of me in my stead. I will be home this evening to tell you about my adventures over dinner. Yours eternally [Y/N]’

He closed the note and slipped it into his breast pocket. Never to be seen by any eyes but his own. “I will be in the garden.” He announced. Calm, cool, but heart & mind warmed by his wife’s kind gesture.

He sat on the back porch. Enjoying the smell of trees, and the bento his wife had made him. If he closed his eyes, it was almost as if she were here with him. He’d have to thank her when she came home that evening.

Uryu gave a heavy sigh as he sat down for what felt like the first time in his whole life.

He knew becoming a doctor would be difficult, and his residency challenging, but he didn’t think it would be this hard. All the running around. The paperwork. All while still trying to learn the skills to become a great doctor. There was no time for slacking off, and especially not when your father was in charge of the hospital.

“Hello Ishida-kun!” One of the other residence greeted as they walked into the lounge as well for lunch. “Soft breads were 2 for 1 at the store this morning. Want one?”

“No, thank you. I have a packed lunch from home.” He replied as he unwrapped his bento.

“Ahhhh….lucky. That newly wed life must be great.”

Uryu coughed once and pushed up his glasses with a deep blush on his cheeks. Too flustered to remind his colleague that he wasn’t married, they were just living together. But it was indeed a perk.

Opening the bento full he looked at the carefully crafted meal and smiled. A very colorful, nutritious lunch of pork cutlet sandwiches, salad, and his favorite sweet potatoes. Clearly they had put a lot of effort, like they always did, into making sure he ate properly.

He was about to pick up his chopsticks and eat when he noticed a note under his silverware. He picked it up and read it quickly, thinking it might be a reminder for something he had to do later.

‘Do your best today Uryu! I know your working very hard, but try to take some breaks now & then. Drink plenty of water. I’ll see you when you get home.

PS -there are some extra sweet potatoes in the fridge if you get home early!’

The quincy smiled at the thoughtful note. Thinking about how they must have worked on the potatoes while he was studying after dinner. Making sure he had a lunch when he wasn’t even sure if they had a lunch at all today.

He picked up his chopsticks and started eating. It was delicious as always. He also decided, midway through his second sandwich, that he’d try to take them out to dinner tonight to give them the night off from cooking. They needed a break now & then too, ya know.

By the way, about the stsg stuff - you’re right, it’s really bloody annoying. Tbh I’d speak up about it too but i don’t wanna get harassed by the shippers. (I literally have an essay’s worth of analysis on it but i don’t wanna lose my friends)

Also. Why. Why do they have to talk about it like it’s canon? It’s not. If they wanna ship it and have headcanons that’s fine for them, but they insist on it being canon and assume all jjk fans agree with them when Gege Akutami (the author) has literally stated that

1. The only canon romance is Mechamaru/Kokichi and Miwa Kasumi

2. Both Satoru and Suguru are attracted to women

I’d say that this is all because of *toxic* shipping / fandom culture growing more and more over the years

Because at some point people didn’t care if you shipped certain ships and all if it was tagged correctly

Hence the “don’t like, don’t read”

But I feel like the whole “let’s make fandom spaces open for everyone” also plays into this cause you’ve got teens right out of wattpad who don’t know about fandom etiquette saying things just because they want to

Because those ships AREN’T canon and with s/t/s/g as an example it’s painfully obvious it’d never become canon in the first place

But the shippers treat it like the second coming of *cough* kl*nce with all the fandom activity and treating it like it’s gonna be endgame and nothing bad happens

Like ship whatever you want but PRETENDING that it’s actually canon is hella weird to me

And yeah TLDR: s/t/s/g is pushed in this fandom so much it’s insane and the fact that it’s the most popular ship on AO3 is also insane too

heeey idk if you're active and you may have seen this but youtube watch?v=apOGUrqIQ_M, the OFFICIAL tmnt channel put out a leo/karai moments video. the name of the video even includes the blue and black hearts. i think the writers were kinda dumb with making karai splinter's daughter but the writers' intentions were not having them be incest. they're just in a weird position where one was biologically related to splinter (karai) but not raised by him, and the other was not biologically related to splinter (leo) but raised by him.

i also think ppl trying to be so insistent on splinter being leo's biological dad is weird bc leo has BLUE eyes and even if mutation took the dna like that, he'd share it with a kids' dna or the shop keepers or some in the sewers. even though splinter and leo don't share genetics, splinter is still just as much leo's dad. it's fine ppl being uncomfy with it but attacking shippers is stupid bc it's not incest.

i think the fact that's the only thing ppl can come up with to talk shit about it shows that leorai has a lot going for it. and at least leo didn't decide to change karai's name to an artwork of a woman painted by a man which is objectifying and creepy cough cough raph/mona cough

Hi, yes still active! I did in fact see the Leorai compilation on the official channel, yeah! I was happy that they were acknowledging Leorai as a semi-canon ship (tho the actual video barely has any Leorai moments; more like Leo vs Karai moments lol).

Yes I agree that Leo and Karai were put in a awkward position by the writers whereby one is Splinter's biological child (Karai) but not raised by him, and one is his child by lifelong bond (Leo) but not by blood. However the intention wasn't incest, the writers just over-complicated Karai's backstory imo because she was introduced as Leo's love interest/rival (and arguably created the most interesting dynamic for Leo AND the best romantic pairing in the show), so revealing her as Miwa makes it harder to explain to those non-shippers, ESPECIALLY if their introduction to Leo and Karai was via Rise where they actively state that the TMNT are related to Splinter AND refer to Karai as 'gran-gran' (Rise Leo and Karai should NOT be shipped). I understand the confusion from a surface level, but it's why you really have to pay attention to Leo and Karai's interactions after she's revealed as Miwa to show that they don't view each other as siblings (peep my pinned post where I go in-depth about this). And yeah, but in all honesty people just love to talk shit about ships that they don't like or throw shade at it constantly - kiiinndaa like what you did with RaMona /lh I know some of the RaMona shippers tend to hate on Leorai cuz some (emphasis on SOME) tend to see RaMona as the superior ship (it's solid but I definitely see some flaws; such as Mona abandoning her mission to save her planet from destruction for some guy she met like THREE TIMES AND THEN NOT APPEAR AGAIN-), but don't stoop to their level - just ignore their trash talk and enjoy Leorai <3

The next time Maki's gaze lands on you, she sees you in a new light. A light that makes you look a little less bored, a light that takes her back to last year when things were fine, good. She doesn't know if that's good or bad, or worse than the present. She remembers seeing you smile at one of Panda's jokes, the way your cheeks would raise as your lips would curve upwards.

This new light makes you look more at peace with yourself than you actually are. Your eyes don't look as tired and void. Your skin looks clear. Your hair looks soft, like she wants to feel her fingers running through it after a long day. You look like how you used to.

Everyone else sees the reality— a tired, blank, hollow shell. The marks under your eyes that indicate you haven't slept in who knows how long. The hood in your eyes that hide the abyss behind your shell. The slump of your shoulders.

There was a slowness in your speed, Noritoshi could see the blur of your body getting fainter, even with his extremely narrow eyes. Your fist landed on his jaw, knocking him back a few feet before you gifted him with a kick to his chest, sending him flying against the base of a tree.

You're still fast— you reach him before he can even react, your bruised knuckles landing a blow right under his solar plexus. The air leaves his lungs for a moment, earning a breathless, dry cough from him as your fist lands on his cheek again and again. Your fingers are tight in his hair, holding his head still while you hand it to him.

In a second, you leave him with the final blow and kick him away before spinning around to hop over Miwa's blade, your foot lightly jumping off to double jump and summersaulting to the ground, crouching and kicking her ankles.

You catch her sword as it falls from her hands, quickly sticking it to her sleeve and pinning her to the ground.

Your head whips around, you see Todo in the corner of your eye running after Yuji. You watch the giant run off, disappearing into the greenery before a quick bullet swipes past your cheek. It hits the ground, making a little hole in the dirt; you look up, spotting her in a tree and seeing Mai standing on a branch.

She keeps her gun aimed at you, her finger still on the trigger and her eye closed, but she doesn't shoot. She couldn't. She could shoot anything and everything around you, but never yourself. The thought of hurting you hurts her— it gives her a headache.

The two of you keep eye contact for a moment— your eyes doing the talking rather than your mouths. A shadow appears over the both of you, Momo's on her broomstick like a witch. You look up, and you know that's your signal to disappear. You weren't part of the plan, the Tokyo team was supposed to split up when Todo came. It was you who separated everyone, albeit in their designated groups, and you went after the Kyoto team yourself.

Mechamaru was the first one to get out, simply kicking the robot into the greenery and making a Mechamaru-shaped hole. Noritoshi was next, then Miwa, then Mai- though you couldn't bring yourself to do it. You wanted Maki to hate you, but you didn't want Mai to be anymore involved than she already is.

You run off, disappearing a second later without a word as Momo looks at Mai with a puzzled face. She says nothing, opting to hop off the tree and move to the next one.

The next time you run into Maki, you find her in the riverbed, getting choked by a curse of some sort. For once, and only this once, your emotions let loose. Your anger, your sadness, your disgust, loneliness, hatred, guilt. It all comes rushing out in the form of your cursed technique: Soul Desperation.

"Soul Art: Desolate Defiance!"

A portal of cursed energy opens, a strike of shadows and vines racing out to pierce what looked like the curses shoulder with a really bad skeletal condition. The shadows and vines tackled the curse to the ground while your cursed energy lifted you up from the ground.

A stiff stick of shadows clouded in your hand, solidifying to form a purple lightning bolt you would see in illustrations of Greek mythology. The vines knocked Maki out of the curses grip, causing her to fall a foot or two before being caught by secure arms— yours.

Yuji and Todo show up a minute later, earning a lifted brow of confusion from you but nonetheless going along, carrying her in your arms all the way back to Shoko's office.

Luckily you were the first one there, Shoko was on her computer completely unaware of what was going on outside.

Shoko looked up— her eyes widening when she finds you and Maki in the same vicinity (let alone in your arms).

"Did something happen?" Shoko asks, examining Maki's limp body.

"Kinda," you cringe, nibbling on the inside of your cheek. "A curse attacked us during the event."

"I would be surprised," Shoko sighs, standing up from her chair to keep examining Maki up close. "But this is like an everyday thing."

"I suppose you're right," you huff, following Shoko after she tilted her head back to the table she set up behind her desk.

You set Maki's unconscious body down on the steel, gray table, bringing her down as gently as your grip would let you, resting her arms on her sides and laying her flat on her back.

Shoko glances at you as she puts on her gloves, "You're looking at her like she just died."

That reminds you to check her pulse. "She's fine."

"There's some bruising around her neck," She points out. "She get strangled?"

"The curse had her in its grip," you clench your fists, your nails digging crescent moons into your sweaty palms. Shoko notices your tension and walks over and gently presses her fingers on the sides of Maki's throat and neck, checking for any swelling.

She takes her fingers and lifts open Maki's eyelids; her pupils are slightly dilated— bigger than their usual pinpointed size. She lets them rest, not catching them forcefully shutting before she reaches for a rag over the double-sided sink and ran it under some water before wringing it.

"She's a little warm," Shoko starts, folding the rag. "But she'll be fine. I'm assuming the curse knocked her out, her pupils are dilated and her pulse is steady." She rests the damp rag on Maki's forehead, pushing back her bangs.

You look at her face, watching as her chest softly goes up and down. You're tempted to reach for her hand, to hold it and stroke it with your thumb while she rests. But surely Shoko would reprimand you for that and demand you keep your hands to yourself.

Shoko looks at you. "You told her yet? About the thing?"

"You should be a writer," you glare at her sarcastically. "Not really. But she knows."

Shoko stands there, silent, appalled for a moment. "You didn't tell her, but she knows?"

"Yeah," you look back down at Maki again. "She's not really speaking to me, either."

Shoko sighs, taking off her gloves and pressing her foot onto the bottom of the trash bin next to her work desk. She tosses them in. "Better than not seeing her at all."

"I suppose," you sigh. You look at her resting face again, taking note of the flush in her cheeks, probably from her body temperature.

"How'd she find out anyways? I didn't tell Gojo yet, so it couldn't be from him."

You purse your lips. "I was...talking to her sister about it, and she walked in on me right as I got to the point."

"Sheesh," Shoko cringes, biting back a giggle but still grinning cheekily. "Her sister? I get one of the other second years or maybe the newbies, but her sister?"

"Not one of my finest moments," you roll your eyes but agree with her anyways. "The icing on the cake was what I said afterwards."

"Can't be that bad."

"I basically said I would've killed her anyways."

"Put a little cherry on top," Shoko jokes, chuckling dryly as she sits back down in her chair. You look at her, watching her go back to swiping her mouse and playing Tetris.

"So basically we're not talking anymore. I...overheard her and Kugisaki in her room talking about it when it happened. I heard Maki say she might never forgive me for that...I can't blame her, I wouldn't forgive me either— I don't forgive me."

"And why's that?" Shoko turns away from her computer, looking at you as she crosses her legs and rests her elbow on her desk. You glance back at her again. "What?"

"Why do you not forgive yourself?"

"Well...she was my best friend, and I kept that huge secret from her."

"Do you perhaps think things would be different if you'd grown a pear and told her yourself?"

"In essence," you frown. "Maybe...all the first years wouldn't hate me if I did."

"Maybe she wouldn't hate you as much," Shoko tilts her head to Maki on the table. "Why're you bringing up the first years anyways?"

"Kugisaki's got a bone to pick with me and Megumi doesn't understand what's going on so he doesn't pick a side. And, uh...that Itadori kid just got here, so he's not quite reliable either."

"What about Panda and Toge?"

"They're aware but they're also neutral."

"And have you told Okkotsu?"

"Maki probably got to him already, so I won't bother."

Shoko sucks her teeth, cringing and looking at the floor for a moment. She looks back at Maki again, tapping her shoe against the floor.

"Do you blame yourself? About Maki being on that table?"

You lift your eyebrow. "What's that have to do with anything?"

"Do you?" Shoko pressed, tilting her head towards you.

You sigh sharply. "I suppose I do."

"Because you lied?" She mirrors you and lifts her own brow. "Do you think she wouldn't be on that table if you told her before?"

"Maybe," you huff as Shoko kicks out a chair for you to sit in. You plop down, resting your elbows on your knees.

"And you didn't tell her because you thought she'd hate you?"

"Yeah," you frown again, "What're you getting at?"

"Maybe tell her again in your own words," she finally concludes, crossing her arms. "And don't be hostile like whatever you said."

"I wasn't hostile!"

"You said you would've killed her anyways."

You sigh, knitting your brows closer as you lean back in your chair. "I guess that's a little offensive."

"Clearly," Shoko chuckles before getting serious again. "Tell her again, from your perspective, not from the Zenin clan's. Do you want to kill her?"

"No," you look back at Maki again, your eyes softening as you watch her breathe gently. "I want her to live a long, happy life."

"Then tell her that," She tilts her head to Maki. "Don't let her sit there and think you hate her too."

The dimness in your eyes disappears for a moment and a spark of hope flickers in your heart. But what if she doesn't want to listen? What if she chooses Nobara over you? What if she hates you regardless?

Your eyes darken again, clouding up with doubt as you sulk in your chair.

"I can't tell her if she won't even look at me," you grumble, glancing back at Maki once again. Shoko sighs loudly, turning back to face her computer and her desk.

Shoko taps her head with her finger, resting her cheek on her arm. "Then you won't get anything done if you don't try."

The door flies open again, revealing Momo and a few others-- Megumi and Toge-- on her broom. Her face is glistening with sweat, the beads rolling down her cheeks like it was a race to get to her chin. Shoko looks up from behind her computer again, sighing quietly as she gets up.

"Looks like I have to tend to these two. But just try," she glares back down at you for a second. "It can't get much worse than this."

She leaves to bring Megumi and Toge to the other room where she sits them on their separate tables. You stay in there and fold your arms on the table and look up at Maki as she lays there, seemingly unconscious.

Your thoughts swarm in your head as you watch her rest. The thought of killing her, which made your heart wrench into a raisin. The thought of leaving her behind to your own special grade tendencies, to be like Yuta and Gojo and be stronger while Maki still fights hard for some recognition.

You don't notice her finger twitch, as you'd put your head down to sleep-- you're tired, your eyes are drooping and getting heavier.

"So you heard me and Nobara, huh?"

Your head immediately perks up at her voice, your eyes widening as your heart skips a beat and flutters. Your throat dries up, seeing her glare at you with such sharp daggers in her eyes. Her glasses got knocked off when she was fighting that curse, making her face bare for you to see.

"You were awake this whole time?"

"You checking my pulse woke me up." Maki swipes the damp rag from her forehead. If the red in her face wasn't enough, she looked pissed, with her eyes hooded and her brows frowning furiously.

"You eavesdropped on me and Nobara?"

"You live right across from me," you frown slightly. "And you two weren't exactly quiet, either."

"My door was shut. There's no way you could've heard me from all the way across the hall. So what, you keep secrets from me and expose them to Mai when that was none of her business, now you eavesdrop? What's next, you start rumors about me?"

"That wasn't Nobara's business, either!"

"If it wasn't hers or Mai's then why couldn't you tell me?! You had the balls to tell my own sister but you couldn't dare to look me in the eye and tell me yourself?"

"Do you know how hard it is to even be in your presence, right now?! Do you really think I don't feel guilty when I see you staring at me like you want to kill me?! How could I have told you when you don't even want to look at me?!"

"You looked me dead in the eye and told me you would've killed me anyways. What's so different about telling me now?!"

"I had to defend myself! I couldn't just flat out tell you in front of everyone else, knowing they would see me as some assassin instead of their upperclassmen who they're supposed to look up to! What if that was Nobara?! Would you have forgiven her?!"

"I barely know her! I've known her for a month, I wouldn't have given two shits! I've known you since I was 5, Y/n! A child! Do you know how much it hurts to spend time opening up and step outside of your safe space to someone who you care about deeply only to get back stabbed in the end?!"

"What the fuck was I supposed to do?! Naobito said he would have me executed if I hadn't started it, I don't trust Naoya's word on not snitching, and I don't know if they can track me down or not! What the fuck was I supposed to do, Maki?! What the goddamn fuck was I supposed to do?!"

"Tell me! Tell Satoru, tell someone who can help you! They weren't going to fucking turn their backs on you, they aren't the Zenins! They won't execute you for a burden laid on your teenage back!"

"That would be betraying a year's worth of trust! Gojo wouldn't look at me the same, Principal Yaga wouldn't look at me the same! Even fucking Panda doesn't look at me the same! Do you have any idea how it feels to see the people who are supposed to be your friends look at you like you're a monster?! It's humiliating, Maki! I feel naked every time I walk out and you guys see me!"

"So that's your first time, huh?! I grew up hated by the people who were supposed to love me! I was shut out, I had no rights, and now you're doing the same thing! You shut me out! You lied to me!"

"You were happy! You were so overjoyed with me and everyone else while you knew nothing! Every day since last year I had to live with the task of killing you when you looked so happy! You were smiling! You were laughing, I couldn't ruin that!"

"I'm not a child, Y/n! I can take a hit! So why didn't you hit me?! I would have listened to you! I would've helped you! Is that not what you want?!"

"No!" You slam your fist down on the table. "I don't want your help or anyone else's! I don't fucking need it! I never have, and I never will, so just shut up and stop being so insistent!"

Maki could feel her heart being pulled from her chest and squeezed and stepped on until it was mush. Her jaw dropped as she saw the look of anger on your face; she couldn't tell if you genuinely meant that or if you were simply angry. You didn't look like you were going to give her any room to understand, so she just stayed silent.

Your eyes immediately softened at her silence, your heart sinking in your chest as you backed away, realizing you raised a hand against her. You swallowed the swelling lump in your throat as you struggled for words, only to be cut off by her.

"Get out."

Your heart momentarily stopped as your eyes blinked rapidly.

"If that's how you truly feel, then get out of my sight. You've said enough."

Your feet moved on their own, your hand squeezing the door handle and swinging the door open before dashing down the hallway with tears in your eyes.

Words couldn't describe the self hatred you felt. Maybe it was meant to be with you two— separated. You don't know, your head is spinning and your brain is swimming (and drowning) in your emotions. You can't even speak because you're so angry, scared, anxious, impure.

Your rapid footsteps echo through the hallways as you speed through them, rushing back out to the makeshift battlefield where you'd saved Maki. The curse from earlier looked pretty hurt, though you could assume it was from Yuji and Todo's doing.

You zoomed right in, yet another stiff shadow forming in your hands and solidifying into another lightning bolt, and it flew from your hands like a javelin and hit the curse right in its face. The impact knocked the curse back a few feet before another bolt came crashing down on it.

Again and again you threw lightning bolt after lightning bolt, your anger fueling your cursed energy output and eventually knocked the curse out of it's own veil.

After that, Team Battles for the Exchange Event were over for the day. Everyone was sent to Shoko for their injuries— Itadori got sent for the concussion Todo gave him, Nobara got sent for Mai shooting her with a rubber bullet, Noritoshi was sent for whatever reason, Miwa was sent because she got knocked out from Toge— he also went for the overuse of his cursed speech. In short, Shoko was beat by the end of the day.

No one knew were you were. Yuji and Todo volunteered to go on a manhunt for you even, and when they searched for hours they still couldn't find you. They'd given up after Yuji got a text from Nobara about why you were gone (Todo suggested that they leave you alone instead).

Maki wanted to go with them, because no mater how much you yell at her and tell her you don't need her, she'd still be compelled to look for you, after you.

She loves you, after all.

Imagine if Karai was never abducted from Yoshi as a baby. She went with her father to live in America to escape the grief of their wife and mother. To help with this, Yoshi decides to take Karai (who now just goes by Miwa obvi) to a pet store to get what ever pet she wanted.

“These ones!” She pressed her nose against the glass.

“Turtles?” Yoshi examined the reptiles. “Don’t you want maybe a dog? Or a cat?”

“No, I want these ones.”

Yoshi sighs. “Fine we’ll get a turtle.”

“No! I want all of them.”

“You want all four of them?”

“They’re a family. A family shouldn’t be torn apart.”

So Yoshi gets four turtles for his daughter.

Then he sees something shifty, instructs Miwa to stay put. Blah blah blah, he gets turned into a rat and the turtles get mutated while Miwa remains unaltered.

She grows up with the ninja turtles. Develops a lot of the same hobbies as them, like skate boarding and video games.

Being the only unmutated one in the lair, she was allowed to go to the surface before any of the turtles could. Splinter was very hesitant, but the first time came out of necessity. (Leo was extremely sick and he needed medicine. Miwa was able to use the little money they had to buy some children’s cough syrup.)

She also gets all of the supplies and runs errands. The turtles really suck up to her when their mutation day comes close.

Although her life is much more loving, she’s still has a punk aesthetic. Raph mostly helped out, Mikey is always invited to watch them as they dye Miwa’s hair. Donnie would rather be working in the lab and Leo is a snitch.

Splinter doesn’t like it when she cuts and dyes her hair. First time she did it and sauntered out of the bathroom he nearly had a heart attack.

Villain Rise Mikey Thoughts: Part Two

a continuation of my first villain mikey post ! this is where it gets more m-rated (using archive ratings) so i'm thinking people 17+ can proceed reading, if you're sixteen about to turn seventeen that's fine too but anyone below that, please do not read !!

i left off on fifteen year old mikey discovering a love for baking edibles

it started off small but eventually he started growing his own green and selling in the hidden city

he made connections and they started helping him out– he was a small business owner, keeping his head down, until he crosses paths with a yokai who knows certain recipes for a higher selection of products (if you know my ccc au ocs, prion, a manticore yokai, and carmine, the daughter of boss bruce from the masters of barbarianism, are part of mikey's hidden city inner circle)

mikey agrees to learning the recipes because the money is coming in quickly and he doesn't even have to steal anymore

draxum catches on to what mikey's doing and he's skeptical about it– how will this help with destroying the humans ?

mikey may dislike humans, but he doesn't necessarily want to destroy them.

subduing them sounds more like his style.

draxum's like "oh ! carry on then son !" (he's such a proud dad)

big mama catches on to mikey's operation and how it's taking away from her own criminal empire's revenue, so he's seen as a competitor.

he had picked up on newer recipes, better than with mere mystic weed, he cooks with mystic mushrooms (his mushroom tarts are BOMB) and makes synthetic substances (i.e. acid, mdma, amphetamine) separately.

after big mama tries to sic the hidden city police on mikey, he moves back up to the surface after conferring with his inner circle that they could take care of things without big mama getting in the way

he moves back to brooklyn and does what he always did, tagging buildings, stealing, killing– but that brought media attention.

as much as villain mikey loves to have fun, he goes on to start business topside, stopping his usual criminal activity.

after using his mystic powers sparingly for a while so that he could heal post krang, he makes portals for deliveries from the hidden city, then he starts baking.

he finally kidnaps a few humans to keep as pets, using them to test doses rather than dote on them like they're pets (they're essentially "lab rats", but he doesn't like the fact that donnie would dub them that, so pets it is).

his edibles are considerably smaller for humans, but costly for good reason.

he opens a mutant friendly bakery/cafe establishment as a front, hiring meat sweats as the head chef because he's been a pain in his brother's asses for years.

mikey hires other mutants and a human to work the cafe.

he doesn't really like the thought of them in charge of selling his goods, even if it's just regular food and drink (the mutants and a human employee are also ccc au ocs of mine, ziva, oscar, and miwa kutsuki)

after mikey is done testing all the products on his pets, he goes back to the hidden city with them, giving them to draxum for him to mutate.

he watches the process for the first time, watching how their bones snap and twist, the blood they cough out as they claw and grip at each other in the vat of empyrean they're thrown in.

that's when mikey realises... draxum put his brothers through that. put him through that.

he was a mere hatchling.

he realised his father isn't as good as he thought he was, therefore going mystic on him for a good reason.

draxum can't talk mikey down from it this time, it's only when he accidentally opens a portal in front of raph that the "red angel of preventing harm" busts in with his ninpo and hugs mikey tightly, whispering in his ear that he's safe and he doesn't have to hurt anyone.

mikey suddenly remembers what he did to raph when they were little and stops, the chains burning and choking draxum loosening and fading as he collapses back on the ground of his lab.

"i... i don't want to hurt my family."

after that ordeal, twenty year old mikey leaves the country, making a portal all the way to south america where he finds another hidden city to hide away in.

he loses his boredom motive to wreak havoc, deciding to start honest work there for a while until some yokai approaches him with a plant he's never seen before in new york's hidden city.

he starts growing it with him and they start a business together.

mikey learns how to make flour out of this plant and bakes edibles with hallucinogenic effects, just like his mushroom tarts.

after a while, mikey brings this plant back to the states and starts selling, revenue growing exponentially on the east coast.

he finds out meat sweats completely took over his bakery/cafe, renaming it and stealing millions from him.

meat sweats also fired everyone, since ziva stole food from her job because she couldn't eat and afford her apartment, oscar wasn't focused on his tasks, and miwa turned out to be an undercover agent from japan.

luckily, rupert swaggart only knew the weed recipe, otherwise mikey would have been cooked.

he had been meaning to cut off his weed supply anyway, especially since he found the flower down in south america.

mikey moves out of brooklyn to have an apartment in tribeca, manhattan, closer to where his new business could be.

he opens a new bakery/cafe in the financial district, it attracts all the upper class businessmen with fixed lifestyles.

and for whoever knows the business is a front, it also attracts the substance addicts looking for something better.

mikey gets rich quickly, but he keeps his studio apartment in tribeca, buying out the whole building instead of renting.

he installs his own greenhouse at the top after the city grants him permission, which alerts his brothers of his location.

he dismantles it and decides to rent all around manhattan, an apartment in each district.

mikey housed homeless mutants in his extra apartments, but his hospitality ran very thin.

the only rules were not to trash the place and to cover for him if anyone comes up to the door and asks for him.

villain mikey grows extra paranoid in his twenties, he feels as though everyone is out to get him, even his regular clients.

he bakes as a stress reliever, manages his bakery/café under an alias.

sometimes he works at the till with a cloaking brooch after long periods of isolation, just to interact with people.

after all the years he's been ingesting mystic weed, he hadn't tried anything else, knowing it could affect him as a business owner.

then after a depressive episode, twenty three year old mikey tries his trademarked mdma.

he joins the rave scene and makes connections there, as well as getting a few new willing pets to try his south american mystic baked goods so his demographic expands.

carmine comes up topside, telling mikey she needs him back in the hidden city.

so mikey returns and finds that prion, his right hand yokai, died from an overdose of mystic opioids, which he thought was bullshit because prion swore he would never touch the crap.

he knew that big mama was behind prion's death and decided to set fire to her auction houses, her third biggest revenue source.

he dipped into mania, selling full sized mystic pastries to whoever asked.

it's been years since mikey talked to his dad.

draxum was converted to his brothers' side and no longer resided in the hidden city.

he used to take pride in who his father was, now looking at him made him ill.

it was time boss bruce made his successor the donna of the masters of barbarianism, proving her worth by managing mikey's drug operation well in the hidden city for a decade.

carmine was allowed a few months before her induction, so mikey decided to bring her up topside.

being a tall dragon lady, she's bound to turn heads, so she wore a cloaking brooch whenever she went out with mikey.

mikey started coming down from mania and carmine was there for all of it, helping him get clean and caring for him when he was crashing.

he always really liked carmine, but everything had to be kept professional, right ? right ?

carmine had to return from her surface vacation to follow in her father's footsteps, and mikey was left alone again to manage everything.

he's sober for the most part, mystic weed still keeps him calm so he doesn't get aggressive.

by the time he reaches his late twenties, villain mikey gets bored again.

猫猫「浩然様と、堀に浮いていた下女…。後宮で不審な死が続いている。下女の遺書が見つかったが、彼女が園遊会の犯人なのか？…一人になると色々考えてしまう。こんな時は…フフン。下女が犯人だとして、塀にはどうやって上がった？動機は？」

Maomao “Konen-samato, horini uite-ita gejo… Kokyude fushinna shiga tsuzuite-iru. Gejono ishoga mitsukattaga, kanojoga en’yu-kaino han’nin-nanoka? …Hitorini naruto iro-iro kangaete shimau. Konna tokiwa… Fufun. Gejoga han’nin-dato-shite, hei-niwa do-yatte agatta? Dokiwa?”

Maomao “Master Kounen and the servant who was floating in the moat… There have been a series of suspicious deaths in the rear palace. The servant’s will was found, but could she be the culprit at the garden party? When I’m alone I can’t help but think about various things. At a time like this… (chuckling.) If the servant is the culprit, how did she get onto the wall? What was her motive?”

Maomao “Where did she get the poison in the first place? You shouldn’t speak based on conjecture. I’ll be told off by Dad again… Ah.”

猫猫「ここで、猫猫の豆知識。南天の実は、麻痺を起こす毒でもあるが、一方で、殺菌作用もあり咳止めの効果もある。またその読み方から『難を転ずる』縁起のいいものとされている」

Maomao “Kokode, Maomaono mame-chishiki. Nantenno miwa, mahi’o okosu doku-demo aruga, ippode, sakkin-sayomo ari seki-domeno kokamo aru. Mata sono yomi-kata-kara ‘Nan’o tenzuru’ engino ii-monoto sarete-iru.”

Maomao “Here’s Maomao’s bits of knowledge. Nandina berries are poisonous and can cause paralysis, but on the other hand, they also have antiseptic properties and are effective as a cough suppressant. Also, because of the way it is read, it is considered to be an auspicious thing that “turns away difficulties.”

猫猫「何にせよ、浩然様もあの下女も、浮かばれる日が来るといいが…ぷはー」

Maomao “Nanni-seyo, Konen-samamo ano gejomo, ukabareru higa kuruto iiga… Puhaaa.”

Nandina is the plant that Maomao was touching when she said “About what kind of poison I would use to die.” in the main story. I’m familiar with the plant as it grew in the garden of my house where I grew up. In winter, it has a lot of tiny red berries. As this plant seems to only grow in China and Japan, most of you probably never even heard its name before.

Herewith I’ll explain detail of what she told in the Maomao’s bits of knowledge.

Nandina’s Japanese name 南天（なんてん/Nanten） consists of “南（なん/Nan）” and “天（てん/Ten）”, and the sound of “nan” is the same as “難（なん/Nan）” which means “difficulty”, and “ten” is the same as “転（てん/Ten）” which means “turn”, so it’s said that nanten is auspicious thing that “turns away difficulties.”

「ぷはー！」 is not translated, as I couldn’t find a word for it in English. This word is often used in Japan when someone just enjoyed drinking an alcohol. In Japanese, there are 2 types of onomatopoeia, and the one is 「擬音語(ぎおんご/Gi-on-go)」 which is an onomatopoeic word, written “sounds” as we hear, and the other is 「擬態語(ぎたいご/Gi-tai-go)」 which is written “sounds of status” as we look. I’ll explain more detail in another post, another time. I guess 「ぷはー！」 is 「擬音語（ぎおんご）」 but I’m not sure. Anyway we can clearly imagine someone enjoying drinking when we read 「ぷはー！」.

「フフン」 is 「擬音語（きおんご/Gi-on-go）」 of chuckling. I read about the differences of “laugh”, “smile” “snicker”, “chuckle”, “giggle” and “grin”, and I thought “chuckle” is the closest, but I don’t know. Please let me know if you find better word for Maomao’s status in the animation.

「ヒック」 is 「擬音語(ぎおんご/Gi-on-go)」 of a hiccup（しゃっくり/Shakkuri）, and also it is used typically when someone is drunk.

「遺書（いしょ/Isho）」: will, suicide note

「犯人(はんにん/Han’nin)」: culprit

「動機(どうき/Doki)」: motive

「麻痺（まひ/Mahi）」: paralysis

「咳止め（せきどめ/Seki-dome）」: 咳（せき/Seki） is “coughs” and 咳止め means medicines to stop coughs.

「浮かばれる(うかばれる/Uka-bareru)」: rest in peace, being rewarded

"What is this racket?!" Splinter came out from his dojo along with April. Who was still trying to process her father's loss. Everyone became quiet while the wise rat examined his sons. Looking at Donatello he quickly became panicked. "Donatello who's blood is that?" he quickly grabbed his son's hands waiting for an answer.

"Master Splinter well it's a long story...well you see..em we battled Shredder and we were about to lose until the Crimson Soldier came to our rescue"his father stared at Donatello with a serious face.

"Well where is this young man? I want to see the gravity of this situation" Raphael sighs angrily while going to his room. Master Splinter notices the abrupt action and stares at the purple masked turtle. "Why is your brother distressed?"

"It's confusing Master Splinter but it seems that the crimson bandit is a girl. She was disguised for some reason and it seems that Raphael knew her but not the fact that she was female" Donatello answered truthfully while looking back at April. He became nervous and started blushing a little.

"You see...I uh was going to ask April something very important if that's possible." April looks at him with a soft gaze while walking straight to him. The other turtles went to their rooms walking slowly since they still had little wounds on their body.

Donatello mustered up the courage to ask April to clean Y/n and check for any more wounds. The red head while cleaning her took of the chest bandages hesitantly and indeed Donnie was right. The crimson soldier was hiding her gender beneath that crimson suit. She quickly put her pj's on the girl which the April left just in case at the lair. They didn't fit that much since she was taller than her by three inches. April was clearly fascinated by the kunoichi, looking younger than her she still decided to battle a monstrous brute. Laying down her h/c hair on the labs table she left her side praying for a miracle. Y/n seemed pretty battered up April didn't want to witness her downfall.

Entering the lab Donatello and Master Splinter looked at Y/n frail body. She were still breathing but taking deep breaths. The purple masked turtle quickly started to search for the I.V and Master Splinter looked at the wound. It looked very deep since it has stitches looking at his son proudly he sat near

Y/n. Donatello left to check his brothers wounds. Wondering how she learned the arts of ninjutsu and why'd the girl helped his sons. Master Splinter looked at her features he clearly sensed japanese descendance on the kunoichi. Staring at her remembering his own daughter Miwa he hesitated while touching her h/c locks.

Y/n had no idea where that warmth came from. But it remembered her of her mother. She clinged to the idea that maybe just maybe all the past months were just a nightmare and her mom was trying to wake her up. Opening up her eyelids really wasn't the best choice because she made a shocking discovery. It wasn't her mom generating that warmth it was someone entirely new to her. Trying to move away from the wise rat she immediately winced holding her abdomen. Master Splinter was used for that reaction but what he wasn't used to was what came out of her mouth.

"Sorry sir I just thought...my mom was here. I didn't want to offend you!" The girl said with a raspy voice coughing. Master Splinter stands up trying to hide his amused face.

"You're fine child just try to calm down. You really took a big hit and you have a great wound." The elder stated while she immediately took notice of his appearance. Gaping at him she tried not to say something stupid. The girl felt his aura of authority which resonated in her mother too.

"I'll try sir..mind telling me where exactly are we?" Y/n tries to get up noticing that her crimson suit wasn't on her the girl quickly panics. "Oh for God sakes I didn't intend for this to happen.. At least not yet." The girl stared at the floor ashamed. "Does Raphael know about this" She points at herself embarrassed.

"I'm afraid so child"Splinter says while putting his hands on his back. The girl grunts exasperated while trying to leave the lab. She notices an I.V connected to her arm and whimpers trying to take it off.

"I have to talk to him, it wasn't fair for him to be lied to" Y/n says groggily screaming in pain when she feels one of the stitches tear. Splinter pushes the girl back to the labs table and looks at her sternly.

"Calm down, you will have time to apologize. You need to stop making rash moves. Child you are severely injured I'll tell Donatello to take a look at your wound again." He rests a hand on her shoulder while the girl pouts a little. "I'll call the boys since it seems you're impatient" He smiles warmly while she looks at another side.

"You must be their master and father" She murmurs while involuntarily closing her eyes. "I can feel it.."Y/n sleeps soundly while Splinter looks at her shocked.

"Just how much did you manage to get out of Raphael" He caresses his whiskers getting out of the lab searching for Donatello.

Everyone waited for her to wake up after that encounter with Splinter she spent two days sleeping. Raphael was still taken a back from the news. His friend was a girl and she didn't even tell him. It was very surprising though because he couldn't see through the facade. He thought that made him look stupid and that she thought he was a dumbass. The girl easily tricked him he didn't know why he immediately trusted her even though he didn't see her face. Raphael grew angry at the idea that the crimson soldier easily threw some of his walls down. The four of the turtles looked at Y/n while mesmerizing her face. Donatello had to admit she looked somewhat beautiful but for him April was the apple of his eyes. Leonardo well he was impacted to see another girl along with Michaelangelo but both of them thought she was beautiful too. And Raphael well he was far from surprised while looking at her striking face. He couldn't believe that beneath that mask there was a gorgeous girl. Don't get me wrong he was still mad at Y/n but watching her and in that state made him think a lot of things. Yeah the girl lied to him but she protected his little brother from being killed. That made him slightly want to listen to her reasons. He was stubborn as a mule and Raphael knew that.

Donatello changed her I.V while looking at her wound sighing.

"I thinks she needs professional medical assistance guys" He yawns while checking her stitches and Leonardo sighs crossing her arms.

"We have to wait for her to wake up though. We still don't know her name what if she wanted to hide her identity for a reason" the blue masked ninja states while Raphael grumbles. Y/n starts to move frantically scaring the turtles. Her eyes they were tightly shut her lips were moving murmuring incoherent words.

"Mother,...no don't you dare touch her!" the four of them watched as she caught onto Donatello and flipped him over while she sprang into action. Y/n opened her eyes cornering herself into the lab's wall while clutching her abdomen. The e/c girl looked at the turtles breathing heavily.

"Hey calm down dudette!" Mikey gets to her while hugging her slightly. The girl tenses bewildered and looking at the lab. She notices Donatello getting up gasping for air.

"Oh darn I didn't mean to do that Donatello!" she separates herself from Michaelangelo giving him a quick thank you. Y/n bows slightly getting out of the corner in the wall while searching for someone. She smiles while looking at Raphael, the red masked terrapin rolls his eyes making her huff.

"Don't worry about it um ah girl" he looks at her embarrassed. "You just took me by surprise I didn't know you still had that much strength in you." The girl stares at the ground biting her inferior lip.

"Well now that you're awake, would you mind telling us your name?" Leonardo leans at the wall and Raphael watches Y/n very interested.

"Oh sorry I didn't introduce myself! My name is Y/n L/n. It's very nice to meet you properly." She winces while sitting back at the labs table. Looking straight at her favorite emerald green eyes the young kunoichi sighs sadly. "I deeply apologize for hiding my identity and gender from you Raph" Y/n gives a pained smile. While waiting for a answer Raphael battled himself. Should he accept the apology and forgive her? The red bandana turtle closed his eyes thinking deeply.

"Come one dude she clearly had her reasons! Besides she saved my life she's not the enemy anymore." Michaelangelo stares at his brother giving him puppy eyes.

"Ugh I can't let that slide right now!" Raphael gets out of the room with his heart pounding. He still couldn't believe it, his friend was a girl! It might seem stupid to not forgive her after all she had done for him. But he was scared for some reason she was a human girl and quite beautiful too.

"Ugh, this is not what I'd imagine would happen if I hanged out with a bandit!" He closed the door of his room while grabbing Spike.

"What can I do Spike?"Spike looks at Raphael's worried expression while caressing his friends face with his. " Spike you're the best. Thanks for calming me down" The red masked turtle hands his turle some lettuce.

"Don't worry about that Y/n you know how stubborn he is. I mean you are his friend right?" Leonardo looks at her questionably.

"Yeah he is...it's just well I hope he isn't afraid to admit it now" she lays down coughing while Donatello hands her a glass of water. "Thanks Doc" she giggles slightly while the three of them look at her surprised.

"Anyways what was that all about?" Donatello caresses his arm seeing a small bruise forming. "You really looked startled right now" the girl looks away while handing him the glass of water that she drank quickly.

"Yeah sorry about that I was having a nightmare..." She grabs her arms feeling weak infront of them. "I apologize for reacting that way though" the turtle smiles showing her his gapped tooth which causes Y/n to smile warmly.

After that the turtles helped her to the living room. Raphael was nowwhere to be seen which made the girl quite depressed. Master Splinter entered the living room with April by his side. The girl tried to bow but ended up wincing in pain. Y/n lays at the sofa with Donnie's orders. Willingly obliging she sighs content.

"I see you have awoken child. May I know your name?" Splinters asks calmly while she nods.

"My name is Y/n L/n. It's nice to finally meet you sensei." the girl looks at the red head. "You must be the one that changed my clothes. I deeply appreciate it. Um my I ask your name?" Y/n says while blushing awkwardly.

"My name's April and no need to thank me it was the least I could do."April looks at her amused.

"Now that we all have been introduced. Can you tell us a little about yourself?" the wise rat asks.

She started from the beginning telling them about how her mother trained her in ninjutsu. Her mother disappearing and leaving a her with just little information leading to the foot clan. Y/n told them why she became a bandit. Master Splinter questioned the shame written in her voice. She was truly fascinating and not evil. Her intentions on helping people might be a little out of hand but she deeply cared about them. Raphael listened to Y/n story regretting a lot of things. He basically didn't know the problems she was facing. The red masked terrapin crossed his arms remembering how the crimson soldier told him about his master but he didn't know she was looking for her mom that was her master too. And that made him mad at himself for not prying open her shell not literally but emotionally. The girl was always listening to his rants but he bearly heard hers. Did she not trust him completely?

"And I will never give up I'll find her no matter the cost. I was stupid but I am thankful that, that stupidity helped me save you guys." She lays completely on the sofa while holding her abdomen. "Hey Doc Donnie when will I heal?" The girl asks determined. "I need to save her..."Donatello and the rest of them stare feeling a lot of emotions.

Hours passed and everyone was doing their own thing. Mikey was playing video games, Leonardo along with Master Splinter were meditating, Donatello was looking at Y/n x rays and well Raphael was sitting on the bean bag sofa while watching Y/n sleep. He couldn't deny it she was truly breathtaking not only on her looks but on her personality. He felt really uncomfortable the hot headed turtle didn't want to turn into another Donnie so he quickly disregarded his feelings getting up from the bean bag.

"Wait Raphie boy...I need ya to know that I still want to be friends" Y/n flutters her eyes open. "So well let's start over please?"She pouts a little looking at Raphael's blurry image.

"I'll think about it dummy"he mentally cringes but Y/n giggles coughing. "Geez you're so annoying.." He smirks slightly leaving the living room.

Y/N hums absentmindedly as she drops another box of pocky's into her basket.

"Maybe I should get some for that nice receptionist lady?" Y/N wonders to herself, unworried about others hearing due to the aisle being empty.

Well, the entire store was empty save for the boy behind the counter and that blue-haired girl standing over by the drinks.

Said girl that was also giving not-so-subtle glances at her.

Y/N laughed into her hand, disguising it as a cough before looking up again, picking up a box of chocolate pocky's and slotting it into her basket.

She spares a second to mentally apologize to her manager who had been telling her to cut back on the snacks because of the sheer amount of money Y/N spent on them.

It's not Y/N's fault it tastes so good.

Y/N turns towards the row of refrigerators decorating the well, not sparing a glance to the girl who jumped in surprise as Y/N walked towards her.

Y/N frowns thoughtfully, looking over the various drinks behind the glass door.

"What's your favorite tea brand?" Y/N asks the girl, smiling politely as she acts oblivious to the way the girl jumps in surprise, rushing to look at the drinks to answer.

"A-Ah, this one!" Miwa points towards one wrapped in a thin green packaging. "Their sweet tea is really good."

"Really? I haven't tried that one." Y/N admits, pulling the door open and grabbing the bottle, putting it in her basket without hesitation.

"Thank you..." Y/N trails off, looking at the girl curiosity.

"Miwa! Kasumi Miwa!" The girl answers in an instant before feeling back with an embarrassed blush at how quickly she answered.

"Thank you, Kasumi-san." Y/N says, tilting her head to the side to give her a closed-eye smile.

Meanwhile, Miwa was positively squealing inside her mind. L/N Y/N is smiling at me! L/N Y/N is smiling at me!

"O-Of course!" Miwa nods vigorously. "And you can just call me Miwa!"

"Oh? In that case call me Y/N." Y/N introduces herself, unknowingly causing Miwa to nearly faint.

Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god— Miwa breathes in steadily, hands trembling in excitement. Y/N (Y/N!) just gave me permission to use her first name! I can die happy now.

Y/N snickers at the girl's behavior, Miwa looking two seconds away from fainting where she stood.

"Do you want a picture, Miwa?" Y/N inquires, already having been able to tell the girl was a fan.

"Wha— YES!" Miwa's confusion on how Y/N even knew was discarded in mere seconds as she nods vigorously. "Please!"

Y/N laughs fondly, grabbing the phone that was handed to her as she leans her head against Miwa's, holding up a peace sign as Miwa does the same, mirroring her actions.

Y/N snaps the photo, leaning away from the girl as she exits the app, opening contacts as she puts in her number.

"Aaand... there!" Y/N hands the phone back, watching with an amused smile as the girl's eyes grow wide.

"I have to go now, but it was nice meeting you Miwa!"

Miwa watches dizzily as the idol pays for the items and runs out of the store, managing to catch her apologizing to someone on the phone before she turns a corner and walks out of view.

"...This is the best day of my life."

its a shame that gege doesnt know how to include female characters into the plot anymore because theyre all just interesting and have wayy too much potential.

like the idea of a character who only cares about money and could go as far to exploit their own sibling like mei mei or someone like shoko who is one of the few/only people in the world who can use rct to heal people (the fact that she was in the same class with the 2 strongest sorcerers in the world and she was never shown to be afraid of them or take their shit) or someone like yuki who was the first special grade in their generation and also an spv??? (if this had been revealed during HI arc the drama would increase tenfold...) OR TSUMIKI omg this one frustrates me so muchhh like she had SO SO SO MUCH BUILD UP AND FOR WHAT??? this girl had to get into the role of a parent for her younger brother because toji sold him and left them and her mother abandoned them and left. no i agree with you 100% jjk had so much potential to have active and important female characters with agency in the beginning of the manga where akutami was still tying characters into world building. i think that made people (like me) hopeful for a deconstruction of gender norms and dynamics in the jujutsu world that would propel the female characters forward instead of letting them stay one dimensional but it looks as if that's what ended up happening anyway. once again i don't think akutami is intentionally sidelining them if that means anything i just think his planning and organization is off (not enough time given to develop characters other than megumi and yuuji) and that he bit off more than he could choose (having a large cast of characters). which is such a shame bc he could be doing so much more with them!!! like the narrative giving shoko the spotlight for like 2 seconds isn't even a step in the right direction it's the bare minimum!!! it's something we should've gotten during the shibuya arc!!!

also yes. i will die mad about yuki tsukumo and tsumiki. they could've been saved idc idc killing off one of the strongest female characters in your series is just plain WRONG. and tsumiki deserved to live my god.......NOT ANGEL. TSUMIKI. AGHHHHHHHH.

And what can I tell you, big SPOILER but yes, many characters get mutated though a big chunk of mutants are replaced as Yokais. For example, villains like Rahzar and Fish face are now Yokais in my verse.

Others like Casey Jones and Shredder are now mutants. I don't know if April counts as she is 85% Kraang and lives with them...

Mondo Gecko, Leatherhead, and Snakeweed are mutants too.

Rat Queen is a surprise, so I'll just say that she is based on the 20003 version.

Characters like Irma, Miwa/Karai, Vaxter, and Timothy still don't have their fates 100% written to be mutated.
