Concept: Lex runs for president but he's better than anything that came before.

He pretty much just says what gen z, and anyone with morals, has been saying for the last few years. He's very anti war, he's vocal about the climate crisis, he hates homophobia (closeted during camping- doesn't necessarily hide it just doesn't say)

At first everyone in the league, apart from Clark and Bruce, assume he's doing something evil. They are all very shocked when they start agreeing with him, and soon enough a few of them start openly supporting him.

Why is he running for president? Because Conner and Lois have been complaining about this stuff for ages and he's sick of hearing it. Clark feels his pain.

Because I cannot and will not accept that a Luthor without a second L name exist.

Danny sues Lex for theft and proceeds to adopt all of The Team after the Cadmus incident. He also works on a way to fix Match like he did with Dani.

Danny and the science of cloning

So Danny wants to make sure there can't be any more complications with Dani's health and decided to study cloning as a side project (no way he's trusting Vlad with this)

Over the years he got an engineering job and is a valued person in his field but he still studies cloning on the side

Dew to the years of research dannys pretty much an expert in cloning, he's even cloned a few of the Sams plants and a couple of animals that he takes care of, but he's never cloned a person before and has no plans to

One day while showing off a new project to his boss, his boss finds some of his notebooks containing cloning research

After the presentation, his boss calls him into his office and asks about the cloning, and Danny tells him what he can

That at some point he got curious about the science of cloning and has researched it as a side project

He's a little concerned when Mr Luthor asked to meet him in his free time though

he has 2 sides, when hes at the Kent's he's all polite, nice, farm boy, almost like how clark was. like just a really nice super chill guy

and then the next month he's at Lex's penthouse groaning loudly, putting doc martens up on white couches and glass tables. loud sassy and bratty, superiority complex, full on punk maxxing, putting feet up on Lex's Jaguar's dashboard. Bisexual Icon, fake IDs, shopping sprees whatnot man

Its not as much a matter of "the kents wont like me if i do anything out of line" as it is of Trying to piss lex luthor off.

but in this headcanon lex is an above average parent who just sighs loudly and thanks god he has no hair to pull. He rolls his eyes at conner's antics and lets him do it anyway.

There's like an unspoken agreement that this is completely Lex's genes at work, and they both sorta let it happen bcos Lex is also kinda... proud of his son being cool? or showing him a side of his that he totally doesn't show around Superman.

I feel like if we consider an au w good dad luther conner would totally be a brat around luther. Also luther mentally would keep remembering that this kid is technically only 4-6 yrs old, meanwhile clark has a kinda rough time wrapping his head around the whole clone thing so he tends to ignore it alltogether.

luthor: Son, I am so sorry for everything I’ve done, but I have to check your health and make sure your DNA isn’t dissolved or something.

Luthor: yeah, I know I’m not the best parent I could be. But I do need to make sure your genetic code isn’t compromised or something, you really should be testing for it every 2 weeks. It’s been 3 years, I just want to make sure my son is okay. *lex gives Conner puppy dog eyes*

Conner: you made me in a test tube I’m more superman’s son then yours.

luthor: I literally carried you for 12 months, I was there the day you were born was superman there when you took your first breath? first steps? Spoke your first words? No he wasn’t I was. Your as much my son as he is.

Conner: *completely baffled* what?

luthor: uh, don’t you know how difficult it is to make an artificial womb that WORKS? It was actually way easier to just carry you to term.

Conner: WAIT, WHAT?

luthor: I could not trust a random woman to carry something so precious, uh so I did obviously? *lex rolls his eyes* it’s way easier to just make a man have a kid than make an artificial womb, you know how hard it is to make one of those right? It’s genuinely harder than making any advanced ai or anything and when it’s easier and healthier and most importantly SIGNIFICANTLY CHEAPER to just carry a clone to term you do it. I don’t know what those justice league characters said to you but no it’s just so much work.

Conner: YOU WHAT?

Luthor: yeah obviously, why did you think half your dna came from me?

Conner struggling between retching or crying just stares

Conner: wait, does that mean your technically my mother?

luthor: yeah, doesn’t matter though does it?

Conner: my birth mother is you.

luthor: yeah obviously

Conner: well now I have a answer to all those pesky questions about who’s my birth mother, do you mind if I just call you lex because it’s gender neutral and no one will ask questions.

luthor: sure? Please son let me test your blood.

Conner: why did you put me in a test tube then?

luthor: ever heard of sudden infant death syndrome? Also I thought if I force grew you to adulthood you wouldn’t have to suffer through hormonal problems and all that, since you’re not exactly a stable organism I thought I’d save you from that hell. But yeah in retrospect it was pretty cruel to rob you of your childhood. You were a really cute baby though.

Conner: I have no idea what to do with this information.

luthor: so, *quickly pricks and draws Connor’s blood* I’ll be back in 2 weeks.

Elseworlds Addendum - Superboy / Conner Kent

Conner Kent was a clone created after Superman was presumed to have perished in his battle with Doomsday.  Project Cadmus created the clone by combining Superman’s DNA together with that of Lex Luthor; thus generating a hybrid being that possessed much of Superman’s powers, Luther’s intellect and was meant to be loyal to Cadmus’ agenda. 

Artificially aged to maturity, the clone was given implanted memories.  It was planned the clone would emerge at the same age Superman had been when he died, but something went wrong and the clone broke free and discontinued the aging process when just a teen.

Going by the name Superboy, Conner aided Steel and The Eradicator in defeating the villainous Cyborg Superman.  He later teamed up with Robin, Wonder Girl and Impulse in forming the first iteration of the hero team Young Justice.  Some time thereafter, Conner and his Young Justice comrades formed a new version of The Teen Titans.  

Actor Nolan North provided the voice for Conner in the Young Justice animate series. The hero first appeared in the pages of The Adventures of Superman #500 (1993).

Headcanon Hell: DC #1

Disclaimer: I have nothing against the name Conner. It's just the idea that's been following me around. I don't know canon very well. I came up with it while reading fanfiction. It is not to be taken seriously.

In stories that present SuperLex as "divorced" "parents" (where Luthor has been granted custody, but Con spends time with both sides of his DNA), the issue of Conner's name almost always comes up. It's often raised in a humorous way.

The name was made up by Superman's side, so they use it without problem. It reflects his Kryptonian name "Kon-El".

Lex, on the other side, hates it. He finds it too simple, not lofty enough. Since he is the one in possession of Con's birth certificate, the name is at best registered in it as his middle name. Or it is not included at all, and Lex then considers it only an unbearable nickname. Most often Luthor then calls him Alexander Lionel II or junior. However, these names are not part of family tradition. Therefore, I think we can experiment a little, give Luthor a chance to show his creativity.

So what might be his "official" name in this kind of universe/AU?

We need a name that could be shortened to Con (so that both the "nickname" "Conner" and the connection to the Kryptonian name still work). This would satisfy the Super side. A name to fit Luther's side as well. So I suggest something that sounds tougher? More serious? More Lex-like? For example, Constans (or its slightly more modern French equivalent Constant). (I also considered Conrad, but somehow it fits less.) Constans fits with the fact that Con didn't age at first. He also has a "constant" influx of power which is sunlight. It fits the character that a superhero is supposed to be. As for a middle name, to complete the picture, I suggest Joseph, it is, after all, the middle name of both of his "fathers."

Supers would continue to be able to call him fairly canonically. Lex, on the other hand, would be happy with a full name like Constans Joseph Luthor (to which Kent could conveniently be added if necessary).

Did Lex Luther give Conner a new civilian identity? What does Conner use for his last name?

Luthor is public about the fact that Conner was grown in a lab so he doesn't even give Conner a new identity. He just takes away Kent. Luthor's not super happy he gave himself a name and that it's something so meh and normal as Conner, but whatever.

He's removed all proof of a Conner Kent and made him just some guy named Conner.

If DPXDC is insistent that Danny is adoption bait then there has to be a moment before Luther publicly announces his relationship to the media (maybe his Father's still kicking and he's waiting to get rid of him first, maybe LexCorp are releasing a new product and he doesn't want it to be overshadowed etc) that the tabloids see them out in public and the next big headline is:

LEX LUTHOR AND BRUCIE WAYNE DATING??

-local billionaires spotted at local tech-expose!

And maybe Danny looks more like a Kent than a Wayne so you get Lex Luthor, known in the supers community for CLONING superman, getting with a scientist who is KNOWN for extra-dimensional research and a kid who looks somewhat similar to Conner Kent and you get a wonderful confusion of:

Who's the Father? Look at the timeline, has Daniel existed for years or - Oh okay, okay it appears Vladimir Masters does NOT like this line of questioning... oh OH he was- with the Fentons? Oh... so like Daniel is Vlad and Jack's kid?? And Madeline is Jazz's mother...? A throuple? hmm... Murder attempts, the kids hate Vlad? Sad, but common in billionaire divorces sad to say.

Okay, so! *giggles* Wait, here- have my sternum, I won't need it anymore, I have transcended! Okay so- If we're doing crack ships, you know one that would be really funny?

Jack Fenton/Lex Luthor

It's a lot like Jack/Vlad, but without any of the poor history between them and a lot less murder attempts.

Similar to Vlad, however, Lex is at first pretty certain that Jack is a buffoon but then he sees the man make something really advanced out of literal scraps and Lex decides that if Jack is a moron then he's into morons now. Jack absolutely baffles him, and Lex wants to pick apart Jack's brain like a science experiment and no matter what Jack continues to surprise him and Lex- a man who has gotten stuck into a rather boring routine- finds that very refreshing.

Jack is like: "Oh, another billionaire friend! I'm sure this will be like my friendship with Vladdie!" But then Lex shows him so much attention, far more than Vlad ever did, and Jack is actually a little into it. Maybe he and Maddie are divorced (amicably, hopefully) or maybe Maddie has passed away (which D:) or maybe Maddie is fine with an open relationship, but whatever the case is, he actually gets to pursue a relationship with Lex and it's going... surprisingly well?

This has the added side-effect of Vlad looking on the from the side lines equally shocked and more than a little bewildered. Jack is in a relationship with Lex Luthor of all people? And Lex is known for having very high standards in associates and acquaintances and tolerates this fool? Vlad gets all huffy about it, amazed that Lex would stoop so low, but then Vlad realizes that he's jealous and now he's contemplating murder. Whether it's murdering Lex or murdering Jack (the cause of such feelings, as far as Vlad is concerned) is still up in the air.

Side note: Danny is wondering how much trouble it would be to fake his death and run away, just so that he doesn't have to deal with this.

Initially I was apprehensive but reading the dynamic you made, absofuckinlutely. Is it healthy? Absolutely not. Does it benefit Lex in so many ways? Oh 100%. This is incredible and horrifying and wonderful and terrifying and I love it.
