Godddd i found like three different sites claiming to have a Tasmanian Devil (looney tunes) amigurumi pattern but they’re all the same instructions and i don’t understand them at all

Like someone tell me how step one is supposed to result in 30 stitches when you start with 13 chains and then make 14 sc
