HEEHEE okay so I’ve decided Nik is an avatar of The Flesh, and like. as much as I want him to have a real, complex reason for working at the institute, honestly? I think he just did it because he thought it’d be funny.

Like … bro saw the big looming EyeTM building with Elias fucking Bouchard running it and decided “hell yeah” … god knows why Elias would let Nik work there though. Maybe it’s because he really doesn’t ? do much ?

Like, yeah, he’s definitely killed people, but not without reason. And, for a flesh avatar, he’s pretty … harmless ? question mark ?

Idk Nik is a walking comedy set and Elias sees enough value in him to tolerate having around. Bro’s willing to do anything tbh … lights go out? Well he’s no electrician but these wires kinda look like they match. Sinks clogged up? That’s easy, just unclog them. He likes working night shifts, so not only is he cleaning the place up, Nik doubles as security ! Yay !

TLDR: Nik is a cheap excuse for an all-in-one, multi-tool pocket knife, and Elias can juuuustt stand his chicanery enough to not toss him out.
