Geist immediately senses the presence. They barely notice how oddly obscured she looks - they're used to some of their victims being servants of other fears, and it doesn't really matter to them. What sticks out more to nim is how relatively small the figure is. Gods, not a child - not again!

Xe doesn't waste any time and appears a few feet to her left, silently observing them for now.

Ironically, this time, the owner of this domain looks more human than the visitor - even the aura of unrealness that usually surrounds him is barely noticeable. He might as well be just another lost victim.

ellery skips into the library with a grin, finding the puppet quickly. “hi!” it grins, waving all four arms.

Marione is hanging upside down from a shelf, spider limbs holding her up. Her voice sounds like a whisper run through a flute.

"Hello!"

She waves in return. One of her spider legs mimicks the motion, accidentally sending her tumbling to the ground. She gives a quick thumbs up, despite the clatter of wood when she fell.

"I'm okay!"

statement about someone who tried to paint the sun, but kept making it bigger and bigger, always unhappy with how small it was. eventually they finished the project, and it was just a tiny, tiny speck on the canvas. the statement giver asked them why it was so small. they said "oh, it's not small at all. you're just very, very far away." and when the statement giver looked back at the painting, the speck started growing, getting bigger and bigger, and the statement giver felt like they were falling into the painting. eventually it stopped. the painter was visible next to them again, and they merely whispered "really puts things into perspective, doesn't it?"

Ophelia Ainsley, a child actress who grew up in the spotlight under the name Pearl, is slowly feeling increasingly isolated from the persona everyone knows on screen. Trapped in the shadow of a perfect image, she can no longer relate to it.
