another thing that fans were looking into was the type of flower he was wearing as a brooch! lol. turns out it’s a ginger flower and it means to keep memories in summer forever. ginger flowers bloom in May-June in summer. the flowers are pure white, the fragrance is refreshing when blooming, and the flowering period is very long.It's short-lived, but it's also accompanied by beautiful memories.

What does that mean?

How are they different from each other?

hi! don’t worry, i only figured the terminology out at the tail-end of 2023, so you’re good!

this all relates to sex dynamics, or put simply, who tops and who bottoms. generally in the eastern fandom, the character mentioned first in a ship name tops, and the following character bottoms (hence why you might see people describe their ships with the terms “left” and “right”!). however, within the western fandom, the ship name “satosugu” is an umbrella term of sorts (also called stsg). to differentiate between sex dynamic preferences, we have subfandoms! people who like satosugu (sometimes called stsgists) would either call themselves gego (夏五, or getogojo) or goge (五夏, or gojogeto). there are people who like switching dynamics, too (gegoge—夏五夏 or gogego—五夏五). some stsgists don’t even bother with terms at all! and that’s really it!

though satosugu is the general ship name, occasionally people do use “sugusato” or sgst to show their preferences. also, within the eastern fandom, geto and gojo have numbers associated with them because of the kanji characters in their names. geto is 72 because the character in his name (夏) is pronounced “natsu.��� the “na-“ in 72 comes from “nana(tsu)” (七つ), meaning 7, and “-tsu,” which sounds like “two” in english. gojo is 5 because the character in his name (五) is pronounced “go” and translates to 5. thus, geto is 72 and gojo is 5—725 and 572 are also ship preferences! so are the terms “natsugo” or “gonatsu”!

this (夏) character in geto’s name also translates to the word “summer,” so you might see variations of the terms “summerfive” or “fivesummers” as ship preferences! there are also the colors black and white, which are pretty self-explanatory—🖤🤍 and 🤍🖤, or ▪️▫️ and▫️▪️, or any other variation of emojis. you might also see yellow and blue emojis; yellow is geto’s usual designated color in official art and merch, and gojo’s is almost always blue, so you might see 💛💙 or 💙💛.

usually, the character who tops also leads, but leading (and dominating and giving) is not synonymous to topping. the same goes for bottoming. the ship preference name always refers to who tops and bottoms, regardless of how it happens. of course, topping and bottoming mean nothing to their characters (and they don’t determine your identity in real life, either), they are just preferences, but there are the typical overlapping interpretations of characterization when it comes to each stsg subfandom. i recommend looking them up on either twitter or tumblr to see for yourself!

whenever i refer to them as satosugu, it’s usually because i’m talking about them in a non-sexual way. sometimes, i use satosugu instead of “geto and gojo” to refer to their canon character dynamics, just for the sake of convenience. (i try to be as objective as i can when i’m doing these types of analyses!) personally, i like top!geto and bottom!gojo, mainly fixed. whenever i refer to them as gego, it’s usually because i’m talking about them in a sexual way or it’s of an implied sexual nature. sometimes, i refer to them as gego just because i can! this is headcanon territory! it’s all fun!

Would you be comfortable sharing more about your experience with pmdd? I'm certain I have it, but I feel like it's pointless visiting the doctors because women's issues are often brushed to the side. But every month, the week to two weeks before is hell. I'm here now, and I've been crying all day yet feel empty. I can't bring myself to do a single thing. I've been snapping and just want to sleep all day. I feel like I just want to give up on everything 🩷

oh bless you 🤍 that’s no fun at all. and you’re so right in that women’s health is far too often brushed aside, and doubly-so with anything relating to periods. PMDD is a very isolating condition because unless you’ve got it, it’s so easy to dismiss it as “just PMS” and I find that so frustrating and upsetting.

basically: I had very easy periods all through my 20s and fairly good overall health. then in my early 30s (I’m 34 now) I kept having these bouts of feeling physically unwell, like I kept feeling as if I had a bad cold that I never quite managed to shake, and I was so tired and low energy all the time. I went to the doctor in summer 2022 and summer 2023, both times just telling them that I felt as if I couldn’t get well. I had various rounds of blood tests and scans and stuff and they eventually told me it was long covid and that there was nothing to be done other than get on with it. then towards the end of last year I started having moments of feeling desperately low emotionally - usually signposted by a few days of properly overreacting to stuff, which isn’t like me, and it would then descend into a few days of feeling very sad and not myself. I noticed that this was always happening in the days leading up to my period, so I just dismissed it as PMS, but then - as the emotional stuff was getting worse - I noticed that all the physical stuff was lining up with my cycle too. it got to the point where I was losing days and days every month to headaches and unbearable fatigue and I also just felt fully insane so I finally went back to the doctor and said I think all this stuff is related to my period - not long covid.

fortunately the doctor I saw that time was great. she took it very seriously and after a bit of back and forth she diagnosed it all as PMDD.

if you’re able to I’d really recommend trying to see a female doctor and speak to her about what you’ve got going on. keep a diary of your symptoms for a few months, literally tracking everything day by day. it’s arduous and frustrating but keep pushing them to take it seriously! there’s no cure and (obviously, annoyingly) very little research into it but there are things you can try to manage it, whether that’s lifestyle changes or medication. it’s very trial and error but speaking to a doc is the best place to start.

worth mentioning that not everyone with PMDD experiences physical symptoms - so even if you feel physically well, it’s still worth looking into.

I’d love to say I’ve found a load of really helpful resources and support online that I could share with you but genuinely I haven’t - hence the feelings of isolation - but always happy for anyone to reach out for a chat.

Rebranding: What I have coming in the mail… 🤍

I absolutely adore these clothes. I’m minimizing and redefining my wardrobe. I’m 24 and I want a style that reflects my new era and makes me feel like me. Let me explain this mini collection.

I want to be classy but I also want to be hot. I’m thinking hot girly girl meets grown women classy but at the end of the day I’m still 24 so be so fr I’m not dressing like a grandma anytime soon.

This will be a running errands outfit, a get coffee outfit, a laying around the house outfit

This is a anything and everything kinda fun outfit. Lunch with the girls, 3rd date kinda vibe and anything summer related

A cute little halter top for when you want to look simple but cute/hot.

4&5 are a duo, this is a running errands, lazy but cute day outfit. When you don’t feel like getting dressed but you still want something to wear. I think the only acceptable sweatpants to be seen in public with. You’ll never feel ugly/dirty with these and you can always pair it with a plain white/black tank top or tshirt. It’s vibe

Now let’s talk about my other stuff…

First of all sport skirts… need I say more? They’re perfect for the summer time. When you just need to throw something on but still look put together type of vibe. You can wear them with sneakers and a basic top and on top of that they have built in shorts. Next are the basic tops. 2 basic T-shirts one in black and the other in white . Then this adorable pink cami and a yellow tube top because like duhhh. Last but not least these flower claw clips I’ve been wanting for forever. They match my clothes too and add a lot of spice. Trendy but simple remember I’m 24.

When I started my level up/hypergamous journey I thought I had to do that old money style then I realized I don’t. Elegant fashion is cute don’t get me wrong and I was super into old money fashion but something didn’t feel right. It felt like I was wearing a costume. When you go to the wealthy area you’ll see that no one really dresses in “old money” fashion except maybe certain older women. I also thought that was the only style rich men liked but I’ve now been seeing women who dress hot (not thotish) be with a wealthy man who provide for them. Honestly there is a time and a place for every outfit. Obviously I’m not gonna wear this to a gala or an important event but for my everyday life I can. Old money fashion is honestly European and I’m an American. I just wasn’t a fan of the outfits completely. I like looking good and dressing my age.

Moral of the story, I’m dressing how I want to dress and what makes me feel comfortable. Liz the wiz said she know women who dress masculine and are still being provided for. Honestly I’m more into new money men anyway. From what I’ve seen there are women who dress “slutty” and are still fully provided for and they have rich boyfriends/fiancés their own age. Dress how you wanna dress. My style is preppy/girly/sexy with class. That’s just me

i was reading the exchange between u and homesick anon and i felt that same feeling so deeply too.

i’m in new york city for school and when i first came here, the adjustment was so difficult, mainly bc of how different the landscape was. nyc is a monstrous metropolis that constantly floods u with human noise, smell, and lights. there’s no reprieve from it. no place to just—get away and breathe. not even in central park.

there’s a beautiful silence to the pnw that’s impossible to explain. it is so hard to explain to my city friends why i just get overwhelmed and desperately homesick.

your blog has kept me sane; the pictures and videos of trees and ferns and the coast and rivers and roads had let me revisit childhood memories camping at cape disappointment and dream of future summer hikes on mount tahoma.

I relate so much, friend. In my first year of college in the Midwest, I immediately bonded with another fellow PNWer and we endured together in a high state of misery. We used to drag ourselves down to the Mississippi to this slight rise (perhaps 7 feet high?) overlooking that brown river and scraggly trees and we’d kinda just… try to pretend that bump of topography could remind us of mountains. I kinda still hate deciduous trees as a result (or at least majority deciduous landscapes).

There are plenty of people who don’t feel any particular attachment to where they’re from. It’s probably easier to be them, in a lot of ways. And there are people who can move to the PNW and be wretchedly homesick for places that make the rest of us depressed. They’re valid, of course, because “home” is an individual experience. But you’re lucky enough to be from one of the most beautiful places in the world and to love it at its true value. It’ll always be there for you. And everyone who’s from here or who has chosen it as their adopted home will understand what you’re feeling.

But, if you are open to hearing my one regret from my time away from the PNW… be as open as you can to finding out what locals love about where they’re from. Pretend you’re an anthropologist. Pretend you’re in a romance novel with an arranged marriage trope that starts with both parties hating each other and ends with lessons about learning to love. I’m not suggesting you’ll actually fall in love with NYC, but I do want to suggest that it’s never a waste of time to explore where you are as much as possible. At best, you’ll find some things to truly love that’ll help mediate the bad stuff. At worst, you’ll have amusing material for an entire “I hate NY” party when you move back home.

But no matter how far you roam or how long you’re kept away, home will always be here for you. Hang in there. And don’t hesitate to send a message if you’re feeling homesick 💙🌲💚

I first discovered you in summer of 2022 and quickly binged all of your work because everything was so good. Then I read your 2-part 'Bunny' series. And damn, did that hit close to home for me. For most of my life, I lived in an abusive situation that was similar to the one that y/n suffers from in th the series, and to be honest, reading it was very therapeutic for me. It was so nice and comforting, to read something that I could relate to on a deep level, while also being written for one of my favorite people in the entire world (aka Minnie, my love ❤️). These past few months, I'll be so tierd from work and uni at the end of the day that I don't have the energy to do anything else that I used to find fun. But reading is still fun for me, and I find myself coming back to your work constantly (even though, by this point, I've read everything more than once haha). Reading your stuff always makes me feel better, even if it's something short like a blurb or drabble. It always puts a smile on my face, seeing how you craft your thoughts into beautiful stories. This past year has been really hard for me too. I'm really sorry you've had to go through all that. Writing for me has been such a good coping mechanism, it distracts me from my anxiety and CREATING for once makes me feel better too. I've spent a long time being too consumed by .. the thoughts... to actually create anything. It's been so nice to discover a new creative hobby that I actually can stick with which is why it makes me feel so fucking warm and gooey to hear that other people can actually find comfort in the things I write. I'm still alive... after more than a month of inactivity... 😓 Sorry for not posting my content for a while, after I was done with my entry test and tasted a bit of freedom, I realized how burnt-out I truly was. I took a break from literally everything and hung out with my friends and family since I spent the whole summer studying for a thing or another 😅 Anyway, back to the important stuff, this fic was a request... that I took way too long to write... again... (PLEASE FORGIVE MEEE) but I found it really interesting and I related a lot to the scenario, which is why it came out a bit more personal than I wanted. "That's it for today, guys" Ukai's loud voice echoed throughout the gym "Make sure to stretch properly, clean up, and then go home and get some rest!" He said before leaving, knowing he had to prepare some meat buns. Everything went as usual, but a little detail made that day different. It was the third-years' last training.

Daichi almost couldn't believe it was really happening. Three years had already passed and he was about to leave his volleyball team. And as chaotic as said team was, he didn't like the idea at all. He just felt like it wasn't the right time.

Sure, Ennoshita was more than ready to become captain, but were Tanaka and Noya ready to become less... hurricane-like? Was Yamaguchi going to find his self-confidence? What about Tsukki? Would he find it in himself to open up to the others? To not talk about Hinata and Kageyama's constant bickering...

There was still so much he could help everyone with, even if he was just supporting them or giving a fatherly advice. But he had to admit to himself that they were going to manage without him, his team was full of capable and motivated guys, they were more than capable of overcoming any kind of hardship. He also had to admit to himself that the one who wasn't ready to that kind of change was him.

"...so I was thinking I could go to university and work somewhere to help my family par fo- hello? Earth to Daichi? Are you even listening?" Suga's scoff brought the (soon-to-be ex) Karasuno captain back to Earth. "Sorry Suga, I spaced out for a second..." He let out an embarrassed chuckle.

The grey-haired guy looked at his teammate with genuine concern in his eyes. "Are you okay? Is there something wrong?" He asked worried.

Daichi glanced for a second at the others, who had started cleaning already, and then told his friend about his worries about that being his last training, having to leave the team, missing the team, missing volleyball in general...

"DAICHIIIII!!!" His train of thoughts got abruptly interrupted by Suga's bonk, which was objectively kind of deserved. It was Mr. Refreshing's duty to help anyone who was feeling down, one way or another, and the whole team knew that.

However, there was still a nostalgic glint in the captain's gaze, and that couldn't be allowed. Sad goodbyes were not accepted at Karasuno Volleyball Team. The gray-haired guy looked around himself for a second. Narita and Kinoshita had already left with Ennoshita because they still had some exams to study for. Noya and Tanaka had to study as well... but they insisted on helping with the cleanup before going. Yachi and Kyoko were gone as well; they wanted to spend some time together since they were going to say goodbye, too.

"Ahem! Guys, gather here for a second." The vice-captain said, waiting for everyone to come. "As you know, this is our last day here." His first sentence was enough to make everyone groan and whine, but he was able to hush them all. "BUT! We don't want it to be a sad goodbye, we want to enjoy this journey until the last second... or at least that's what we agreed upon. However someone is feeling sulky right now. Does anyone have a suggestion to fix this little problem?"

Making sure Daichi wouldn't see him, he wiggled his finger to give his own suggestion to the team. Obviously, they all caught on quickly, especially Hinata and Nishinoya, who immediately pounced on the captain.

The dark-haired guy stumbled backwards, trying to keep the two short guys still, but when Suga and Asahi decided to join the fun, he had no choice but topple to the ground while trying to hold back his laughter. "Guys! What a-ahare you doing? This is- ack! This is nohot necessary!"

"On the contrary, captain, this is exactly what you need." The vice-captain smirked teasingly at him and started poking his stomach. Asahi was keeping his arms pinned above his head with one hand and softly fluttered the fingers of the other one all over his neck and ears, changing sides every time he scrunched his shoulder to protect those spots.

Yamaguchi had managed to drag Tsukki into this, claiming that it was a bonding moment and he would've enjoyed it. They were straddling the captain's calves and squeezed the kneecaps and right above them. It made him kick so much that he almost managed to buck the first-years off a couple of times.

Noya was sitting between Daichi's legs and was squeezing his hips and sides quickly and mercilessly, while Tanaka was helping the vice-captain with the stomach. "Guhuys Ihihi sweheahahar..!" The dark-haired guy quickly dissolved into hiccupy giggles and found it impossible to build a complete sentence. "Ah ah ah," Suga teasingly reprimanded him "no swearing at school." He said while dipping his index finger in the wing spiker's belly button and wiggling around, which elicited some snorts that made everyone laugh out loud.

Obviously Hinata had joined the fun as well; he was getting the right side of the ribcage, having fun with counting the bones and sliding his fingers into every groove. "Oi Kageyama, are you coming?" He yelled, only receiving an annoying scoff in response. But he knew better. "Are you afraid I'm better than you at this?"

The setter glared intensely at him and approached the group (with the faintest blush on his face, according to Hinata). He kneeled by the left side of Daichi's ribcage and attacked, going immediately all out, to which the redhead responded with upping his game as well. "Thihihihis ihihis *snort* Thihihis ihis nohohot ahah- ACK! ahaha cohohompehetihihitiohon..!" The third-year scolded them between his laughter.

However, the other teammates seemed to disagree. Seeing the little competition between the freak-duo made them want to join. Daichi arched his back and tried to squirm as much as he could, which wasn't much since he didn't want to take the risk of hurting anyone. "Yohohou're beheheihing meheahahan nohow!" Whoops... wrong thing to say. The teens smirked evilly and started tickling him harder while teasing him as well!

He couldn't figure out who was saying what, he was too lost in his own laughter to listen carefully. He just heard a mix of voices saying "Tickle tickle tickle..." "Aaaww come on, smile captain" "Hahaha did you just snort?" "Hehehe see? This day must be happy for all of us, now smile for us!" "Who's making you laugh more? Me or that boke?"

Okay, maybe he could figure out who asked that last question, but that wasn't the point. He felt his face become red, and he couldn't even hide behind his hands since Asahi was keeping them pinned. But it wasn't so bad after all... until someone, probably Suga, had the idea of going for his thighs. That made him go berserk.

"BAHAHAHAHAHAHA OHOHOKAHAHAHAY IHIHI GIHIHIVEHE!! IHIHIHIHI GIHIVEHEHEHE PLEHEHEAHASE STAHAHAHAHAHAP!!" He screm at the top of his lungs. His thighs were his absolute worst spot, and he'd been enduring that playful assault for God knows how long; it made him tap out almost immediately.

"Alright, let's let him up." The grey-haired guy told everyone to stop and helped the captain to sit up. He was still giggling and a giddy smile was plastered all over his face. "That... that wahas... absoluhutely ruthless..." he panted "but maybehe I needed that... thahank you guys..." he finished with a chuckle.

"Thank you, Daichi, for being the greatest captain ever and even guiding us all the way to nationals." Suga said with teary eyes. What could he say... even Mr. Refreshing himself wasn't immune to the strange feeling of saying goodbye. He was already feeling nostalgic as well!

"Sugaaa!! We said no tears!" Hinata yelled while tackling him down and going straight for his sides and tummy. "Hihinahataaa! WhaHAHAhat aharehehe yoHOHouhu dohohoIHIhihiHIng?!" The vice-captain broke down into his high-pitched and squeaky laughter. "Hahaha I think I'll join as well... it's true that we said no tears after all." Asahi said approaching to the grey-haired guy, only to lift up Hinata and blow a raspberry on his tummy.

"NAHAHAHA AHAHASAHAHAIHIHI GEHET HIHIHIM NAHAHAT MEHEHEHEHEEE" The tangerine howled, but he was quickly rescued by Noya, who took advantage of Asahi's distraction while he was putting down Hinata to jump on his back and tickle his neck and torso.

Right after he recovered, the redhead pounced on Kageyama, bringing him down. "Bohohokehehe yohou're gohonnahaha gehehet ihihihit!!" He yelled, trying to sound angry and intimidating, before fighting back and darting his hands up into the middle blocker's underarms. "Ihihi'll beheahahat yohohouhu thihis tihihimehehehe Bahahakahageheyahahama!"

In the meanwhile, Suga thought that a certain couple of first-years was missing too much on the fun, so he wrapped an arm around Yamaguchi's shoulders to keep him in place while he scribbled on his tummy with his other hand. "Nononoohohohoho pleheheahaseee" The pinch server's legs gave out and he went to the floor, but he never did anything to actually stop the older guy.

Tanaka decided to help the vice-captain with his mission and went straight after Tsukishima, who desperately tried to not laugh... in vain of course.

Before they knew it, a tickle fight on full scale had blown out in the gym and everyone was laughing their head off.

Daichi glanced at the mess right in front of him before joining. The thought of graduating didn't sound so scary or sad after all, because now he knew he was never truly going to leave his team, or better, his family.

going grocery shopping w kuroo is so fun! you guys make a lil trip out of it, not bothering to plan what you need in advance. he’d be putting random snacks in the cart just bc the box looks cool (“angel, LOOK. the box says that these cookies have extra-extra chunks. how can we not buy them???”)

when you’re reaching for something on a high shelf at the store, he’d come up behind you, grab it, and gently tap the thing you were reaching for on your head with a little “oops sorry! didn’t see ya there,” laughing to himself as your eyebrows furrow adorably w frustration >:((

pls i feel like he’d love going on little weekend trips in the summertime when the weather is nice. taking a break from his work life every weekend to go to a small beach or visit a new town and try a buncha cool street food and desserts!

he seems like he’d love going to the beach to dip his feet in the water <3 grabbing you along w him, splashing you w water, apologizing profusely for getting your hair all wet, and writing ‘tetsu + y/n’ in the sand just for it to wash away the second he finishes LMAODN

cooking w you is definitely one of his favorite activities. he’d play your combined playlist and joke around w you as you attempt to make dinner <3 even though he’s busy cooking, he still can’t stop himself from subtle touches: putting his hand on your back as he passes you in the kitchen, rolling your sleeves up as you cut ingredients, pushing your hair off your face gently as you cook w your face above the pan.

if he’s doing most of the cooking, he’d want you to sit on the counter and just talk to him about anything. your voice is like music to his ears!! he’d lowkey get distracted by hearing drama and gossip from your work and end up burning the food :// you’d have to order food and continue telling him about the drama, pretending like he didn’t almost burn the kitchen down

he LOVES celebrating you and all of your achievements!!! for any achievement, big or small, he’d write you a little note saying “congrats sweetheart! i’m proud of you!!” or get you a slice of cake from your favorite bakery on his way back from work <3 he wants you to know how proud he is of you and never wants you to undermine your hard work and achievements (pls i lov him)

he’d wanna match w you for work related events that require getting all dressed up :,) he’d match his tie with your dress — if you wore silver jewelry, he’d wear a silver watch. you two always show up looking incredible, all eyes on you two the whole time!! (he loves the attention too omg)
