Oh my... hard question tbh, but I'd say yes, probably! Maybe not from every perspective, varying through the ages, but she'd be proud overall!

Kid me (under 10) was very much a pink lover and loved playing princess, so she'd be shocked by my style 😅 However, my favorite toy back then was a doll with an internal mechanism that would make him get sick and I had some tools to heal him: three baby bottles with milk, vitamins and syrup and a syringe. And I played doctor with my stuffed animals, and I kept a diary with the record of every disease I had faced and healed successfully. (Whoops, I'm digressing with a fond memory hehe) Anyway! All of this to say that I've always fancied playing doctor so she'd be very happy that I chose and managed to get into med school! Also... I convinced mom to get a cat, so she'd be overjoyed ^_^

Teen me was pretty much similar to who I am today... with the whole trauma of when I was 9 and a baggage of self-esteem issues. She'd be proud of the toxic friendships I left behind, of the progress I made with self-acceptance and the fact that I'm carrying on the goal I had set when I was around 16: getting into med school. When I was around 12, the situation with my father started to degenerate (it hit bottom rock when I was 16 - 18 though) so let's add that issue to the list. She'd be glad and proud of how I pushed through and how I got a better relationship with my mom (who started to believe me when I told her what he would say to me when she wasn't around)... and probably relieved that he left. It's not nice to say it, but it's really for the best.

So... I'd say that younger me would definitely find me cool ✨️

So... it's my birthday 🎇

I'm turning 21, and it's been a year surely full of surprises

I haven't been the most active here on tumblr, but I'm still satisfied because my life had some unexpected turns! I finished my first year of med school with an average exam grade of 27/30, I've made new friends in uni and hung out more with the old ones.

I've worked on myself and appreciating myself more... I'm not there at all with my physical aspect, but I've made big progress with appreciating my own personality and acknowledging and working on my flaws.

Last but not least, my (psychologically abusive) father left home, and my mother is set on divorcing him, so it'll probably be my first challenge as a 21-year-old.

To conclude this short post, a huge thank you to everyone who stuck with me and kept in touch (even if I haven't always been the fastest to reply), I love each and every one of you with my whole heart!

C'è Ancora Domani: Translated: There's Still Tomorrow. Amazing. Splendid. An absolute masterpiece that shows Italian women's condition after the war. It was relatable on some aspects, which brought me to tears during some scenes. A huge applause goes to the ending as well, because it's realistic and represents an invitation to responsibility to women and men

Jujutsu Kaisen 0: I won't say anything. You guys probably already know what I'll say

Notte Prima degli Esami (rewatched): Translated: Night Before the Exams. A comedy that portrays the struggles, insecurities, strong emotions and misadventures of a group of students who just finished high school and are preparing themselves for the maturity exams (necessary to officially graduate). I remember my own night before the exams, and that emotion, that feeling of "owning that night" along with all the students of my year is something I'll never find again. This dear movie makes me feel a glimpse of that emotion, and gives an important lesson about the exam per se, which students tend to forget nowadays
