Chance Meetings*

“Is that who I think it is?”

Kageyama froze in place; a long forgotten feeling of dread settling in his stomach. He felt his heart beat faster, heat flooding his cheeks as his eyes darted around, looking for an escape. He knew he shouldn't have gone to the sports store today. If he ran- he just knew he wouldn't get far. Not with him. 

A familiar arm slung around his shoulder and he whirled to lock eyes, still frozen. 

Oikawa laughed, eyes glittering in amusement at Kageyama's shock. 

“I should've known if I'd catch you anywhere it'd be here; heard you've been doing pretty well for yourself nowadays. Your team is pretty good.”

Kageyama nodded stiffly, wanting nothing more than for this to be over with. Maybe if he just told him what he wanted to hear he'd leave without a fuss. He cleared his throat and shrugged off Oikawa's arm, turning his face away as he headed towards the doors, trying to make it look casual. He tried to ignore the lump in his throat as he followed just behind him, a cheerful grin on his face. 

“Yeah, yours too. You're just as strategic as ever.”

“What can I say? Got to keep my opponents guessing~”

He tried not to remember his old encouragement methods, but failed, feeling more heat in his cheeks as he reached his car. He felt the weight in his chest begin to subside, a bit of genuine happiness making a small smile spread across his lips. 

“Sorry to cut the conversation short, I've actually got to meal prep for this week, but it was great seeing you again.”

Kageyama turned to try and open his car door but inhaled as Oikawa leaned over him, one arm over his head, subtly keeping the door closed and drawing his attention back his way. He tried not to flinch at the way Oikawa's once playful, light expression darkened, but only in his eyes. His voice and words remained bubbly. They were still in public after all. 

“Aww but I haven’t seen you in soo long Tobio~ I can help you! You don't mind me tagging along do you?”

Kageyama debated his options, nibbling his bottom lip and came to a decision. There really wasn't one. Oikawa was nothing if not resourceful, and stubborn. If he didn't agree now? He'd just get it worse later. Oikawa had never had any issues biding his time. He'd once said it gave him time to think up more “fun ideas”. For him, of course. 

So, Kageyama nodded with a sigh. 

“Sure, fine, whatever.”

He rubbed the back of his neck uncomfortably and Oikawa giggled, his eyes lighting right back up at his agreeance and poked Kageyama's unguarded midsection, making him jump and cover his stomach. 

“Aww c'mon cheer up Tobio! We'll have so much fun!”

Kageyama grumbled and got into his car as Oikawa moved over to his own after a cheerful wave to follow him home. 

Once there, things were nicer than Kageyama expected honestly. He helped him meal prep, talking animatedly about setting strategies that he too couldn't help but get passionate about, and their favorite college teams. Kageyama was finally relaxing from being jumpy at Oikawa’s surprise attack earlier when he struck while they were relaxing in the living room. 

Kageyama had sat on the other end of the couch when Oikawa eagerly bounded forward and straddled his waist. Kageyama grappled with him but quickly found himself overpowered, with his hands pinned under Oikawa's legs as he straddled his waist.

Oikawa laughed gleefully and cooed at him as Kageyama glowered up at him. 

“Aww, you didn't really think I'd letcha off the hook, how did ya? What kind of friend would I be if I didn't test your endurance? You know; for old times sake~”

Kageyama's heart beat wildly and he growled, trying to make himself more threatening. It worked on everyone in Karasuno, and even with his current team. Most normal people would've cowered, and apologized- but Oikawa was the one bastard that had never worked on. Not ever since he found out this stupid, downright humiliating weakness of his. 

It was kind of hard to be taken seriously when you were laughing your head off, and squealing like a child. 

“Now where to start, where to start? Any volunteers?”

Oikawa sounded sadistic as ever, eyes scanning his body for the slightest movement now that they were alone and Kageyama discreetly tried to squirm. No dice. He was stuck. Unfortunately he bucked his hips in the process and Oikawa’s eyes lit up. 

“I never took you to be so eager Tobio~ But if you insist!” 

Kageyama threw his head back in mirth as Oikawa drilled his thumbs into his hipbones, making him really buck, for all the good it did him.  

“Hhehehehey! Cut it ohohout, get off mehehehe!” 

“Nah, you must be having fun. Look at that beaming smile you’ve got! So cute~”

Kageyama groaned in annoyance at that, feeling his blush darken. 

“Ugh! I am nhahahahat! I swear when you let me up you’re dehehehead!! You hehehear me!? Dead!”

Oikawa’s eyes sparkled with mirth as he jeered down at him, his fingers ruthlessly toying with his hips before one jumped to scribble at his tummy, his shirt having ridden up from his struggling.

“Oho? Still have it in you to threaten me? That’s not very sportsmanlike of you Tobio! Besides, we both know you’d never be able to overpower moi!”

Kageyama wished he had the strength to fight back, to prove him wrong but tickling had always made him helpless, unable to do anything but laugh. He’d tried to get him back later, give him a taste of his own medicine once, back in college. 

It hadn’t gone well- Iwaizumi had walked in and all chances had evaporated in front of his eyes. Two on one was hardly fair, but seeing the momentary panic in Oikawa’s eyes and the snort he’d let out had been worth it. At least till he had been wrecked to tears for the attempt. 

His struggling finally bore fruit as he bucked particularly aggressively when Oikawa moved suddenly from his hip to the bottom of his ribs, finally allowing one of his hands freedom. He grabbed his wrist, tugging the offending hand up and off of him, panting and glaring. It wasn’t very threatening apparently, as Oikawa merely giggled at him, the fingers spidering along his stomach pausing. He cocked his head at him, brown eyes glittering with amusement.

“Oho? I’m impressed Tobio! You’ve bulked up since our school days!”

The hand at his tummy jumped to his exposed underarm and Kageyama yelped, air leaving him in a rush. Now that’s he’d gotten one of his hands, he had some leverage and strength and knowing he didn’t have much time, he acted. He raised his knee so it was flush against his captor’s side and brought both their hands down against the couch to push off his tricep to turn. Oikawa wasn’t expecting his sudden movements, and tumbled to the ground beside the couch, freeing his other hand in the process. He quickly released Oikawa’s wrist and jolted up, and over him seeking refuge in his bedroom and slammed it behind him, locking it just as a body slammed against it, causing it to jump back in surprise. 

He panted, swallowing harshly, hands trembling as he tried to think rationally. Oikawa wouldn’t break his door down. That was too direct for a scheming bastard like him. His eyes scanned the room for his phone and he felt his blood turn to ice as he realized it wasn’t here. Shit. The banging stopped, and Oikawa’s too sweet voice came through. 

“Aw c’mon Tobio, we were just playing~ I guess you’re a tad more sensitive than I remember. Sorry if I pushed you too much; if you come out, I promise I’ll play nice~”

Kageyama snorted, glaring at the door. He felt bolder, now that he was safe from his old “friend”.

“I’m not the same naive college kid you tormented, just leave, alright? I’m not gonna fall for your sweet words anymore!”

There was stony silence and Kageyama immediately regretted his speaking out, but it was too late to take it back now. 

So instead, he listened, backing up to sit on his bed and try to process. He couldn’t believe he’d been so stupid. Why did he bring him here? Now he knew his address. Maybe…Maybe he really hadn’t changed that much after all. If he was honest with himself, he’d always known some part of him missed Oikawa. For all his faults, his lack of listening sometimes…those good moments were still good. Maybe he was over-reacting-

He shook his head, holding his head in his hands. He was doing it again. Falling back on old habits to cope with Oikawa being in his life. 

“Tobio, I’m going to head out now! I put your meals in the fridge. And…I’m sorry. Really.”

Kageyama looked at the door with wide eyes. Oikawa actually sounded…remorseful. He sounded serious. Still, he didn’t move until he heard his door slam, and even then he held his breath and put his ear to his door, listening for any sign of footsteps, just in case. He twisted the knob and then headed back to the living room, letting out a breath as he realized he was truly gone. 

Everything was cleaned up, his living room just as it was, as if he was never there to begin with. 

He jumped in place at a sound, and his eyes flew to his phone, making him sigh. Just a text message. Stupid body. Why was he still so on edge? 

He grabbed his phone and swiped it open.

His eyes widened and his grip tightened, his other hand moving to cover his mouth. 

An unknown number.

The message?

‘Let’s meet up again sometime Tobio~’

A Warmer Place

Hinata x Kageyama

“Hurry up and open the door! It’s freezing out here!” Kageyama yelled while Hinata slightly struggled to unlock the front door due to the cold.

Kageyama and Hinata went to buy some groceries at the new supermarket that had just opened near their house. The weather seemed like it was about to snow any minute so they quickly hurried home.

“Ok, ok, Kageyama!” *Click* “There, it’s opened!” Hinata said, pulling out his keys from the keyhole and opened the door. Kageyama rushes in and drops the groceries bags on the kitchen table. He then takes off his shoes while Hinata puts the his grocery bags on the same table as well.

“Brrr, good thing it’s warmer in here, but its not warm enough. I’ll go turn on the heater.” Kageyama proceeded to put his shoes away and made his way to the remote control that controlled the heaters and turned it on. “Ahhh, thats better..” Kageyama sighed, placing his hands above the heaters, feeling the heat thats being released into the room.

“Was it really that cold for you outside? Maybe you just didn’t wear enough layers.” Hinata said, taking out the groceries and stored them away whole dumping all the snacks in the basket in the living room.

“Yes! Even though I wore 4 layers..” Kageyama said with an eye roll, finally taking off his jacket and hanged it on the coat rack. Hinata pulls his gloves off of his hands and cups them together.

“Wow, my hands are colder than I thought, maybe it really was freezing outside.” Hinata said, making his way towards Kageyama, who went back to the heaters. “Hey, I bet it’s warm in here!” Hinata slides both his hands into the sweater that Kageyama was wearing.

“Wha—! W-what are you doing!? Your hands are cold!” Kageyama screamed, turning around and trying to get Hinatas icy hands out.

“I knew it, it is warm in here!” Hinata said, moving his hands around Kageyamas warm stomach.

“Stop that! It tihickles, idiot!” Kageyama tried to pull on Hinatas hands, but wasn’t very successful. Kageyama continues to squirm around like a little worm that got poked.

“Oh, it tickles? Does this tickle then?” Hinata spidered his fingers around Kageyamas stomach, making him squirm even more than he was already doing before.

“YAHahaha! Of cohourse it tiHIhickles! Now stahahap!” Kageyama squealed, trying to cover his stomach by wrapping his arms around his torso.

“Hehe, what about here?” Hinata switched to Kageyamas sides and wiggled his fingers up and down.

“STAHAHAHAP NOO!! NOT THEHEHERE!” Kageyama cackled, collapsing onto the floor.

“Ok ok I’ll stop now, my hands are warm, thanks Kageyama!” Hinata slid his hands out of Kageyamas sweater and helped him up from the floor.

“Y-you—! Don’t do that again.” Kageyama said, catching his breath while giving the orange head a glare.

“Sorry, Kageyama, lets go make dinner.” Hinata said, bringing Kageyama to the kitchen to cook some food.

Hihi! I just realized your writing for YTTD now and I just had to send an ask in ^v^ don’t feel pressured to get it out right away but uhhhh, could you write some lee!Ranmaru and ler!Sara? I need the cotton candy boy to get tkled bc there’s very few times where he smiles and it’s so sweet when he does >w< also! sooo um im back to writing and im sorryI put it off so long but i have good idea now for it so um yay I hope you enjoy imsorry🥲

This is inspired by the scene where Ranmaru puts on the steam spray hand in chapter 3 part 1-B, and with the dialogue option where Sara askes if Ranmaru could feel it and touches his hand and he gets like !!!

“How’s the new hand? Still on good?”

Ranmaru felt a hand grab his wrist for the second time. Sara had checked the steam spray when he first attached it, and to his surprise, it felt just as sensitive as his previous hand was. This time, Sara was surely just checking if it was sturdily on, but it didn’t surprise him any less.

“S-Sara…”

Sara held his hand up to where she could see and squished it a little, much to Ranmaru’s dismay.

“Sara, y-you know you don’t have to grab my hand every time you want to check, you could just ask…”

“Looks like it’s on good.”

“Sigh”

When Sara wants to know something, she’ll find it out herself. That’s just who she is.

“How come you always get so nervous when I touch you? You ticklish or something?”

“Whuh-? Huh???”

Another thing Ranmaru learned about Sara: She’s unpredictable. As fuck.

“Are you?” Sara said, now scratching a finger on his palm.

“Ah! Sara!!” Ranmaru yelped, yanking his hand out of her hold.

Sara just grinned at him.

“Ranmaru~”

“No! I-I mean, I don’t know…I guess I was when I was like, alive, but-!”

But it was too late. When Sara wants to know, Sara finds out.

She already had an arm wrapped around from behind and five fingers scribbling away at his thinly protected side.

Ranmaru immediately burst into giggles, already squirming and hitting his foot on the ground.

“Wahahait! Sara! There’s no neeheeheed!” He pleaded.

“I knew it! I would say you being ticklish is surprising, but honestly? You’re exactly the kind of person who’d have it this bad.”

“Whahahat does that evehen meehehean??”

“Cant believe you’re this ticklish as a doll though, they even made note of that? Makes me wonder what else they built into the dolls…” Said Sara, thinking out loud and letting her mind wander while absentmindedly tickling the bandages over Ranmaru’s stomach.

“Ihihim still hehehere…” Ranmaru reminded her, sensing that she was forgetting what she was doing in favor of a different train of thought.

“Oh yeah! Almost forgot.”

Sara finally stopped her attack on Ranmaru’s midsection, letting him go as he finally calmed down. He didn’t have to take deep breaths like he normally would have had to do, since yk he’s a doll. But if he had to he would have.

“You’re really something, Sara…”

“I’m glad I got to learn something about you.”

“Um…y-yeah, sure thing…” Ranmaru stammered, a blush would have been rising to his face.

Ranmaru and Sara prepared to continue walking, but after a few steps Sara stopped and turned to face him.

“Ranmaru?”

“Yes?”

“Not to sound like Keiji, but I think you should try smiling more. It actually does wonders for your mood.”

“Uh, sure. If you say so, thanks.”

“And looking that cute with a smile on is a plus.”

Sara would never fail at catching him off guard.

The first year combo!

Hinata was getting better at taking Kageyama's sets, in fact those two are an u stoppage duos.

Prodigy Kageyama and passionate Hinata. These were polar opposites, and no one can believe how connected they are during games...

"Kageyama you are being mean!"

"Enough jabbering, Boke (idiot)!"

That's until their off the field. They are a hopless crew. Daichi thought with a smile. The seniors all understood this usual scenario with the first year combo.

Hinata's orange hair is gripped in a vice grip by Kageyama, with a scary grumbled under his throat as he threatened the little guy. This is usual, and as always, Tsukishima had a snarky comment. "What are we grade schoolers?"

In fact, Hinata face was twisted into a hilarious contorted face of reluctance. He knew by strength he couldn't possibly be Kageyama's equal. Nobody seemed bothered to stop a fight they couldn't interfere with. Not even Daichi.

"Boke! You better understand that there's a difference between you and me -ah!"

He released the orange head eventually and stepped away with one hesitant step. Hinata hadn't expected it to work. He reflexively poked him in the ribs in order to make him shrink away from pain but it was a light squeak that was uncharacteristical of the King.

"Wait... wait... wait. " Hinata leaned forward on his knees, trying to get a better idea of what happened."Did you just squeak?"

"Did not" a childish side glance from a child who is lying to a parent visualised in Tsukishima's eyes. He was not merely called the smartest in the group so he could pass tests. He, in fact, deduced enough of the situation to focus on it rather than spiking for Nishinoya.

"Liar, I totally saw you go - like this!" He reached over to demonstrate, but it was unsuccessful as Kageyama grabbed his wrist with sudden panicked motion. He pushed the hand away before going back to the net, almost convincing. "If you have time to goof off, then I suggest you make ample time to practice with my sets instead"

Hinata being the naive idiot fell for this distraction and groaned "Weren't you the one who started this?"

Tsukishima sighed. He knew this won't be a good ending for a good climax, he called out tauntingly. "Nice way of avoiding a fierce tickle attack from your regal subjects, your majesty"

Everyone stared at Kageyama, now widened in eyes with pure intent of curiosity. But he let his guard down too swiftly when he felt someone tackle him from the side.

Shocked, the speed and reflexes couldn't have possibly been anyone but Hinata himself. The kid attacked him with his nimble fingers on his ribs first "Ahh ha! I knew you were hiding something, I'm not thar stupid to fall for your tricks"

Yameguchi gave a fond smile to him and said, "Yeah right, a minute ago he almost did if it weren't for Tsukki"

"Gaha! Oi, yohohou huhuhuman tahahangerine!!! Ahahahand you'll pay! FOUR EYES!"

"Wow, such recognitions, I'm honoured," he said stoically, not even the least bothered by the warning.

Meanwhile the least of Tobio Kageyama's worries is revenge, he needs to get out of this situation where a monkey is determined to straddle him and tickle him to pieces.

He couldn't help it, but being ticklish is something even Oikawa took advantage of. It was a well hidden secret. Well, until Tsukishima decided to expose him while his little friend almost triggered it. Scratch that ...he did trigger it thanks to four eyes.

"Alrihihihight! Cuhuhuhut ihihit ohohohout Hihihinataa!" Kageyama tried to squirm his way off, but surprisingly, he didn't expect the persistence being a strength that evolved to physical strength.

"Na ah! I didn't even know such a weakness existed on you of all people!"

Blushing harder, he tried to kick his way out and decided to turn the tables though he wasn't experienced in tickle counters.

Hinata was ticklish too and thankfully he burst into quick laughter, "ahahaha Kageheheheyamaaa! Nohoho fahahahair!"

"So fair punk! You started it"

"Ohohoho wehehell thehehen tahahahahake thihihis!!" He started to move his way to reach for his sides again and that allowed a brief time for Kageyama to get his armpits instead.

Stream of giggles left his mouth now painfully ticklish. He was in tears, not expecting the tables to flip.

Tanaka called out "Come on Hinata get the sucker while you can, he's more ticklish than you!"

"Kageyama, kick his ass!" Nishinoya seconded that.

These cheers were Hinata's motivation. He decided that Kageyama's awkward tickling wasn't that bad, but he broke through only to sneak a squeeze to his knee. Hoping it was sensitive, he did this, and much to his happiness, it was more effective.

"OHOHOHOI! Nohohoho Hihihinata!" He was thrown off balance by his own jerking ways. He didn't expect such a counter and giggled back uneasily now, distancing themselves instead of fighting.

"Kageeeyaaamaa~ Come here, and I'll treat you nice and easy" Hinata threw himself back only to grab his knees with firm vigour. It was strange how such an unusual spot could be this vulnerable. Kageyama definitely had similar thoughts as he couldn't attack back but rather shriek in surprise.

"HAHAHA, I GIHIHIHIVE YOHOHOU WIHIHIHIN BOHOHOHKEHE!"

"Alright, game over for Kageyama." Asahi reached to grab Hinata's collar, and he dangled like a puppy. He looked thrilled to see a new side of Kageyama and had wicked schemes to exploit it. While Kageyama was given gentle assaults by Sugawara and Tanaka, who were hungry to join the final bit, but Daichi had ordered them to practice now.

Sure enough, Tsukishima remained in the shadows, smiling at his own play that he scripted with one mere call to Kageyama's weakness. He really became a mastermind, only Daichi suspected that.

Still, it was a good day, Kageyama would often be teased back for that defeat, which Hinata rarely witnesses during most challenges. Poking and prodding on their way back after practice, they were determined to hold another tickle fight, this time hoping who'd win foe real with equal strength.

"That's what makes them a team." Suagwara chuckled, locking the gymnasium.

"Yeah," Daichi grinned, now looking at the unfolding evening sky to night as time got much delayed.

tkltober day 2: Accidental

Haikyuu!! - ler!Yachi, lee!Kageyama

Yachi was no stranger to awkwardness. It was one of the feelings she was most used to, in fact, but for some reason she had hoped it would be different this time. Although it was probably normal for things to be awkward when you had just entered a relationship and were trying to cuddle with your boyfriend… right?

“Uhm, is this okay?” Kageyama asked as he changed the way he held her for the seventh time within two minutes.

“Oh, uh, yeah, that’s alright.” She shifted around a little. “I-is this okay? Am I too heavy?”

“No, nonono, not at all, uh… yeah, no.”

Yachi could tell by the slight tremble in his hands alone just how nervous Kageyama was, but she was really not in the position to judge him right now. Well, not that she would have if she had been, but… she decided to just stop thinking about it and instead carefully curled her fingers into Kageyama’s sides to try and reduce her own trembling a bit.

What she didn’t expect was the flinch that suddenly went through the Setter’s body and when she looked up at him, his face was flushed bright red. “Sorry- did that hurt?”

“No, uh, it just, uh, tickled a bit, it’s alright.”

“Oh, sorry.” And with that, she could’ve moved on, but for some reason… she didn’t want to. Kageyama Tobio? Ticklish? That was at least a little bit cute.

“Ah- Yahachi, whahat ahare you-”

“Just trying a few things.” She softly pinched his skin where his shirt had ridden up and a squeak slipped past his lips. Yachi felt the color rise in her cheeks. Adorable. “I didn’t know you were so ticklish.”

“Ihi mehean I dohon’t usuahally tehell peheople- Yahahachi!”

The manager watched in awe as Kageyama threw his head back, letting out a stream of giggles that was amongst her top three favorite sounds in the whole world as of now. It felt a little out of character, but then again, it was probably a good sign that he was comfortable enough around her to show this side of himself. And he hadn’t told her to stop yet… Yachi carefully moved her fingers onto his stomach and couldn’t hold back a smile at the soft squeal Kageyama let out.

“Yahachi, ihit tihickles-”

“That’s kind of the point.” She giggled a little alongside him, then scowled at him playfully when he put a hand in front of his face. “Hey, I can’t see your smile like that!” Deciding to be a little bold, she carefully wiggled one single finger into his belly button.

“GHAHA- Hitohokahahaha!” Kageyama’s hands shot down to grab her wrists and she immediately stopped, only really realizing what he had just said as she watched him calm down.

Yachi felt like her heart was going to burst out of her chest. “You… called me Hitoka.”

“Huh? Oh… yeah.” Even though it hadn’t been the first time, they both blushed a little at that and Kageyama softly cleared his throat. “I hope that, uh, was… okay?”

Yachi couldn’t help the smile that spread across her face and when she leaned against him and his arms wrapped around her almost instinctively, everything about it felt just right.

“Of course, Tobio.”

“You were the one that said the winner could punish the loser however he wanted!” Hinata said a bit too eagerly, already straddling Kageyama’s hips to prevent him from escaping. Kageyama’s arms were trembling above his head, but he stubbornly tried to keep them up. “I mean… yes, but I didn’t think you’d want to tickle me!”

Hinata giggled and he raised his hands, fingers spread. “Ten seconds. I will tickle you for ten seconds. I’m sure tough Kageyama can stand it, huh?” Kageyama made a sound deep inside his throat that had Hinata laughing as he set the timer. “Only ten seconds. Get ready, I’m starting in one… tw- now!”

“You sahahAHAID THREHEHE!” Kageyama fought the overwhelming urge to pull his arms down as Hinata clawed at his ribs, starting from the lowest to the highest closer to Kageyama’s underarms, those that had him cackling with loud laughter and that Hinata loved to pay more attention. “I hahahate you so muhuhuhuch! Tihihickling is sohoho unfahahair!” Hinata giggled, tensing his legs around Kageyama’s body when he started to buck his hips. “If you keep complaining I will add five seconds more.” Kageyama shrieked, shaking his head. “NOHOHO! I’m sorry! I’m sohohohorry- ahahaha!”

“Okay, eight seconds left.”

“YOU LIHIHAHAHAR! I HAHATE YOU!”

It's this post right? I did find a lee Kageyama fic it seems, but not with the competition element. I do have the 'who's best at tickling' fic with other characters I think (Better Setter maybe?)

I don't think it can be any other, especially if I used the Tumblr poll feature back then, which is a fairly new feature, which means I was already uploading to AO3 (I started putting my fics there 2018'ish), and the only lee Kags + captain fics on my AO3 is this one 🥺

Mighty Kings fall!!!

Hiii, I'm writing another haikyuu fic. I got a lot of likes and reblogs, so thanks a lot!

As always, Lee kageyama is my only fav thing to write! Enjoy then!

Warning spoilers alert

"Truth or dare, Noya?"

Nishinoya hummed in thought, the libero grinned "Dare"

Tanaka sneered now "Oh yeah? I dare you to bounce the ball without dropping it to the ground for at least five minutes."

"So mean of ya, Tanaka!" Was the shortest fellow's response, and surprisingly, after five tries, he did manage to keep the ball stable with perfect receives to himself.

"Nice Noya! Alright, now Tsukishima..." it was Nishinoya's turn to offer either a dare or a truth to him. The libero added, however, "But you used all your three truths, so it's a dare, buddy."

Everyone snickered at Tsukki's plight as the blocker pushed his glasses irritably.

"I dare you..." Noya takes some time to consider his dare, then his eyes scan the players and noticed Kageyama, "Aha! I dare you to make Kageyama laugh -very loud!"

Tsukishima froze now, eyeing Kageyama wearily. "What regal punishment will I get to assault the king with such frivolous cause?"

"Oi!"

Noya grinned, now pushing spikes further up as he spoke, "You see... you both need to lighten up, and Kageyama could use a laugh... look at his frown..."

It's a dare after all, and Kageyama wasn't equally as thrilled as anyone else in their court.

Now Daichi watched Tanaka, Noya, Tsukishima (who was forced to the game), Hinata, Yameguchi, and Kageyama (who was also forced)...then he smiled "Seems like the kids are having fun for once"

Sugawara grinned and used a chopping hit on his head. "You sound like a Grandpa captain"

"Use jokes, Tsukki!" Hinata's expression was exaggerating, and Kageyama wondered why he was so thrilled in this."I'll make sure you win against the stoic King of the court!"

"Would you shut up!" Kageyama was ignored.

Tsukishima wondered, maybe it would be fun to see the king laugh and be embarrassed later on. Might as well try it.

But still, jokes isn't his forte. "Where do the crazy people go if they were lost?"

Kageyama answered blankly. "They are crazy so they take the psychopath"

Widening his eyes, Hinata never expected kageyama to know the answer, "Wait, you heard jokes before?"

He frowned. "My sister used to tell them they're pretty boring and common so... that was a very weak attempt..." he turned to Tsukishima with a smug look."You can't win this dare. "

Motivated Hinata turned to Noya "Can't I try! I wanna see him laugh too"

Noya thought knowing its against the rules... but then before he could refuse he heard the third years approaching "What's this? Make Kageyama burst out laughing...? Count me in"

Kageyama was shocked. "W-what? You can't do that... Tsukishima is only dared to do so..."

Noya clapped his hands in enthusiasm "Now I'm pumped let's finish him off!"

Kageyama felt like they took this way too seriously. He realised how some jokes were lame and common, especially from Tsukishima. Sugawara's had a funny sound effect, which sort of seemed funny that Hinata burst out laughing. Tanaka's absurd face contortions were out of this world. Noya joined in with equal talents as Tanaka and Hinata got worse jokes which didn't make sense to anyone at all...

Whatever obstacle they tried... nothing broke the star setter.

Tired they were, Daichi seemed to see how everyone was giving their all. But he remained watching the spectacle with interest along with Asahi, Yameguchi, and Ennoshita.

Kageyama looked at Tsukishima now with a smirk. "Seems like not even the bird brain can handle such a simple task as this"

"Yeah a Kings sense of humour is much wicked than you think"

Everyone was ready to give up but that was until Hinata whispered something to Tsukishima.

"Psst..." he rapidly began spilling the joyous secret.

Tsukishima's eyes widened. Wait...? He should've done that at first... why didn't he think of that?

He slowly sneaked a couple of fingers towards Kageyama, who was unaware of the dangers coming towards him.

A squeak.

That was all it took from him the moment Tsukki poked his side.

He glared now "Oi, four eyes don't touch me!"

Tsukishima grinned widely, kageyama froze now, seeing sinister darkness beneath his glasses. "Ah... I see now that I failed to see that someone with your personality tends to be a lot more sensitive than we think"

"H-huh...?" Kageyama was hovered over and Tsukishima was wiggling his fingers menacingly "Tell me your highness, are you ticklish?"

"No..." was a hesitant answer, and yet Kageyama clamped his arms down to avoid any room for Tsukishima to attack.

Hinata giggled brightly "Oh he is ticklish, alright! It was my idea!"

Noya snickered now "Shall we get him...?"

However or perhaps fortunately for Kageyama, Tsukishima stopped them. "This is my dare, I get to make the king lose his sanity.... you can try after I'm done."

Everyone snickered with villainy, and they were all ready to overthrow the king with his weakness.

"First I start here..."

Kageyama gasped but didn't laugh immediately when Tsukishima skillfully sneaked his long fingers on his waist, and Kageyama jolted but with no laugh still. He was squirming but also had the audacity to say, "Is that all you got skinny bastard? This is nothing!"

"Ah, ah, ah king wrong move... I was planning on going easy on you, but..." he raised his fingers as if he were playing a dramating piano piece."You are finished now..."

"Gah -wait!"

Kageyama felt those fingers now sneak at the back of his ribs he shrieked but didn't laugh immeidatelt. So Tsukishima was half satisfied with what he got, though he wanted to make him laugh more.

"I know ribs are bad for you, so maybe I got the wrong angle..." it was like a science experiment. Except he wasn't being dissected like frog... now he wished he was that frog.

"Y-you have the nerve t-toho be soho bohold!" Kageyama flinched and twitched from one side to another, he was good at concealing but he had underestimated his fellow first year.

"Andd I spy a tickle spot here!"

He certainly can tease. Kageyama broke into giggles when his higher ribs were targeted "I told you your ribs will get you in trouble!"

Hinata jumped on his butt now excited to join but remained still as the rest who were itching to join the fun.

"Laugh out loud... you are still giggling, so this doesn't count" Tsukki was already enjoying tormenting the setter. He was ready for the finale and Kageyama was anxious enough to glower at him but also fear foe the worst.

Starting him instantly, he began to flip him, realising where he was going. "OK! Wait... I give up. This has gone too, faaa-aaahahar!"

He shrieked out a laugh when a finger slid down his spine.

"Jackpot..." Tsukishima smirked "Now prepare for the hell you've been waiting for!"

He laughed. It was loud and contagious, bubbly and cute. nobody expected him to sound so cute.... not even Hinata. He heard grumpy giggles sure it was adorable too but this squeals and loud belly laughter was unfair!

"Ahhh, he's so cute..."It came from Noya, who was also waiting for his turn, "man Tsukki got the a pretty good dare I wanna mess with him Too!"

"DOHOHONT IHIHI GEHEHT A SAHAHAHAY IHIHIN THIHIHIS??" Kageyama yelled out through his laughter.

Daichi clapped now and Tuskki stopped in thst signal "I won.."

"Alright we'll mess with Kageyama after practice"

Everyone cheered on that while the youngest player was agast. "Haaah??? Captain! Nohohot you tooo!"

He was ignored yet again but ended up getting pokes from his orange friend, "Awwww, don't be upset sulky-yama shall I tickle it away?"

"Gehet off yohou human tangerine!" He pushed him off but then glowered at the guy with glasses who smirked back with a triumphant sneer."Don't let your guard down king now that your weakness is exposed"

"Bastard..." he grumbled.

111) Lee Suga, Ler Kageyama

Kageyama was startled awake by a hand slapping him in the face.

At first he jolted upright, immediately on alert, but when he saw the room of sleeping boys around him, he only frowned in confusion. His first thought was Hinata, but the redhead was lying on a pallet a few down from his, snoring loudly.

Just as he was beginning to think he’d hallucinated the slap, another flailing limb came flying at him. This one he managed to block before it made impact, and he was ready to turn around and snap at whoever was messing with him, but then he stopped short.

It was Suga. He was fast asleep, but it most definitely did not look like he was enjoying it.

“Whoa,” Kageyama breathed, surprised and a little scared, gently grabbing Suga’s shoulder and shaking him gently. “Hey, wake up.”

It took a moment, but eventually Suga’s eyes snapped open, startling Kageyama all over again. For a moment, they just looked at each other.

“Kageyama,” Suga slurred finally, blinking a few times. “What is it?”

“You…I think you were having a nightmare,” the younger setter replied, frowning. “You kept slapping me, and you looked really upset.”

Suga groaned. “Oh. Yeah…thanks for waking me up.”

“Do you, uh…want to talk about it?”

“Not at all,” the older boy replied with a little smile, “but thanks.”

“Okay.” Kageyama shifted a little, seeing how sad his upperclassman still looked. He recalled all the times Hinata or Noya or Tanaka – or sometimes even Suga himself – would tickle him to help him cheer up, and he reached a tentative hand down to scribble lightly at his friend’s side.

Suga jerked and smiled, his eyes already closed as he tried to settle back in to sleep, but he made no move to stop him, so Kageyama kept it up, tickling lightly and drawing a tiny giggle here and there. Feeling emboldened, the dark-haired boy searched for his belly button through his shirt, and that’s when Suga finally let out a laugh and pushed his wrist away.

“Okay, that’s enough,” he said, peeking one eye open. “I appreciate it, though.”

Kageyama blushed a little, slightly embarrassed when he finally realized how bold he’d just been. “Uh…yeah. Good night, Suga.”

“Night, Kageyama. Sweet dreams.”

The younger boy smiled at that. “You, too.”

112) Lee Hinata, Ler Kageyama

Hinata was already giggling hysterically, and Kageyama hadn’t even touched him yet.

The setter smirked at him. “What’s the matter, boke?”

“Y-You…you’re gonna do something, I know you are!” Hinata whined, smiling uncontrollably. He tugged but his wrists were firmly trapped above him; it hadn’t been difficult for his taller friend to win their little wrestling match and pin him down like this.

“Am I?” Kageyama asked innocently, flashing his fake vampire teeth. He looked sharp in his suit and cape – probably why he’d decided to be a vampire for Halloween two years in a row – but Hinata remembered what those teeth had felt like last year, and he just knew he was going to get a refresher again right now.

“Yes, you are!” Hinata pouted. “You’re going to bite me again!”

“Bite you? No, no, no.” Kageyama gently grasped his side, not squeezing yet but threatening to. “I’m not a blood-sucking vampire like I was last year, boke. This year I’m a tickling vampire. I feast on your laughter~”

“I knew it!” Hinata squealed as his friend finally began squeezing, unable to do much else thanks to the redhead’s costume of choice for this year. The fabric was thick and it was a one-piece outfit, so the setter couldn’t make contact with his bare skin. Hinata had hoped that would keep him safe, but of course, Kageyama found a way through his defenses no matter what. “Ahahahahaha! Kahahahageyama!”

“Now I’m going to bite you,” Kageyama replied, leaning down to gently sink his pointy plastic teeth into his friend’s neck, wincing at the loud shriek he emitted right into his ear. “Laugh for me, little shrimp~ Your laughter tastes soooo good~”

“Nahahahahaha that’s weheheheheheird, Bakahahahageyama!”

“Weird?” Kageyama snorted. “You’re dressed as a crayon, you idiot. I don’t even want to hear about weird from you.”

“Buhuhuhuhut it’s cute! And eheheheheasy to wear!”

Kageyama bit him again, squeezes moving up to his ribs now, making Hinata laugh even harder. “And just as easy to tickle you in, boke.”

113) Lee Noya, Ler Asahi

“I’d call you a wimp if you weren’t so cute,” Noya said, grinning at his upperclassman.

Asahi looked at him, wide-eyed and slightly panicked. “What? Cute?”

“You’re older and bigger than me! You’re supposed to protect me from these kinds of movies, not the other way around.”

The two of them were spending the night at Asahi’s house. It was the end of October, and in the spirit of the season Noya had suggested watching a horror movie. Asahi didn’t like the idea to begin with, and now that they were halfway through and he was scared out of his mind, he liked it even less.

What he liked least of all, though, was Noya’s cocky attitude about the whole situation.

“Shut up,” he said. “You know I’m a sensitive soul. Why would you make me watch this at all if you knew it would make me freak out?”

“Because it’s funny,” the libero replied with a smirk.

Asahi leveled a glare at him that only made his friend laugh, then snatched up his ankle and scribbled his fingers into the bare sole. “You think this is funny? You want to laugh about something? Take this!”

“Aieeehahahahahaha! Nahahahahaha Asahi!” Noya cried, clutching his stomach while flailing his free leg helplessly. “Dohohohohon’t tihihihihickle me!”

“You seemed in the mood to laugh at me, so I’m only helping you out, Noya,” Asahi replied, feeling mischievously wicked as he grabbed the libero’s other leg and locked both of them under his arm, scratching mercilessly at the arches of his feet. “Besides, this is a good distraction for me. Maybe I can even get through the rest of the movie this way.”

“The rehehehehehehest?!” Noya cried, arching his back off the couch, laughing even harder. “But we’re ohohohohonly hahahahahalfway done!”

“Hmm,” Asahi muttered noncommittally, settling in for the long haul, still tickling. “Too bad for you, then.”

Noya squealed when Asahi honed in on his toes, tossing his head back as crazed giggles spilled out of his lips, pounding the cushions. “Ehehehehehehehehe! You suhuhuhuhuhuck, Asahiehehehehehe!”

Asahi reached up and gave his thigh a threatening squeeze, making Noya shriek and nearly fall off the couch. The movie was long forgotten by both of them at this point. The ace grinned at his friend. “Keep calling me names and I’ll make you scream louder than any of the girls in this movie, Nishinoya.”

Noya’s eyes widened and his cheeks went red, but it was clear that he was enjoying this sudden turn of events if the way his eyes lit up at that threat were any indication. “Not a chahahahahance, you wihihihihimp!”

Asahi threw himself at the smaller boy, tickling him relentlessly and – true to his word – making him scream so loud he put all horror movies on the planet to shame.

114) Lee Noya, Ler Asahi

In theory, a massage had sounded heavenly. Flexible as Noya was, he still experienced some tightness and discomfort now and then, but especially since he’d lunged for that ball during their last practice and landed awkwardly. He’d been in some pain since then, mostly in his lower back from where he’d twisted in midair and then slammed into the ground.

Now, though, as the little four-legged massager hummed across his skin, he was regretting ever letting Asahi talk him into this.

“If you keep squirming like that it’s going to make it worse,” his friend told him, a clear smile in his voice.

Noya gritted his teeth and clenched his biceps – his arms were crossed above him with his head resting on them like a pillow – even as a snicker or two escaped from him.

“Cahahahan’t help it,” he managed, gasping when Asahi maneuvered the vibrations back to the spot closest to his lower ribs. “It’s tihihihihickling me!”

“We both know my hands would be much worse.”

It was true. Noya was so sensitive the slightest brush got him wiggling and giggling in seconds flat; using an actual massage tool was the only way they were going to get through this – assuming they’d get through it at all.

The massager slid over toward his other ribs, and Noya squeaked and started to roll onto his side, but a strong hand pressed against his shoulder and forced him to stay put.

“Here,” Asahi chuckled, and it was obvious he knew exactly what he was doing. “Let me help you.”

“Ahahahahaha you jeheheheheherk! You’re dohohohoing this on purpose!” Noya screeched out the last word when Asahi very intentionally let the massager linger on his lower ribs for more than a couple of seconds this time. The libero’s legs kicked behind him frantically. “Ahahahahahasahi!”

His friend just laughed with him and started guiding the vibrations over every ticklish spot he knew of to get the poor libero cackling in no time. “What? Laughter is just as good for you as a massage would be!”

115) Lee Kageyama, Ler Hinata

“Hinata!” Kageyama squealed, weakly gripping the redhead’s wrists as his fingers flew over the taller boy’s torso. “Quihihihihit it!”

“No way, Kageyama!” Hinata beamed like the ray of sunshine he was, chasing his friend down every time he twisted away or tried to shove at his shoulders or pry his tickling fingers from his ribs. “You’ve been giving me that puppy dog look all day. I have to tickle you now! You know I can’t resist!”

Puppy dog look?! Kageyama felt himself flushing in embarrassment as well as with excitement.

“I hahahahave nohohohohot! I’m—GYAH!! WAITWAITWAIT!!”

Hinata cackled like a witch as he dug into the spot just below Kageyama’s ribs, forcing him to his knees and eventually all the way to the floor. “Aww, look how big you’re smiling~ You love it, Kageyama. Don’t try to lie your way out of this; we both know it~”

“HINATA PLEHEHEHEHEASE!!” The setter was howling with laughter now, sneakers scrabbling at the hardwood floor of the gym, jersey gradually coming untucked as he writhed. Hinata kept it up, kneading into that special spot on his ribs over and over, watching with satisfaction as his friend fell apart laughing his heart out.

“What’s that? ‘Please keep going’? I was planning on it!”

Kageyama thought he couldn’t possibly laugh any harder; turns out he was wrong. He arched his back with a scream as his redheaded friend slipped his fingers under his traitorous jersey and scribbled freely at the bare skin of his tummy. “EYAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! HINATA!!”

“Look at you! It’s like I’m riding one of those American broncos!” Hinata giggled. “Tickle, tickle, ticklish Kageyaaaama~”

At this point, Kageyama knew it was pointless to fight or protest in any way. He was cornered and they both knew it, so rather than expel his energy on trying to pretend he didn’t want this, he finally surrendered and let himself enjoy the tickling, his laughter shifting into something more childlike and carefree than before.

Hinata’s eyes lit up with victory. “There you go! Just let it alllll out, Kageyama. You deserve it!”

116) Lee Asahi, Ler Daichi

After Asahi’s third failed spike in a row, Daichi turned to him with a frown. “What is up with you, Asahi?”

“Sorry, I’m sorry,” Asahi stammered, rubbing his face with his hands and pacing in circles. The others on the court exchanged glances. It was obvious he was freaking out, but why now? Why this game?

“Hey,” Daichi caught his friend by the shoulders and forced him to meet his eyes. “It’s going to be fine. You know that.”

Asahi groaned. “I don’t know that! I’m missing everything you send at me. I shouldn’t do this; I’m not ready. Put me on the sidelines; I’ll only slow you all down—eep!”

Daichi kept his finger in his side even after giving it a good poke to shut him up. “I’m not sidelining you.”

“But—hehehey!”

“What are you so afraid of?”

Asahi did his best to hold still and take it, but he couldn’t help the way he crumbled at the wiggling finger in his side. “Dahahaichi, stop it! Not in front of them!”

The team captain glanced over his shoulder at the rest of their teammates, who gave him various encouragements such as thumbs-up from Noya and Hinata and a more subtle nod from Kageyama and Tsukishima.

“Looks like they’re cool with the intervention. Clearly you need it.” Daichi turned back to his friend who was now trying to shuffle backward, a nervous smile on his lips. “Brace yourself. This is going to tickle. A lot.”

Asahi gasped and turned to run, but Daichi had him wrapped in a tickly bear hug from behind faster than he could take two whole steps, and soon the other boy’s giggles filled the air as he squirmed in their captain’s hold.

“Hehehehehehey! Nohohohoho! Daichi, I’m fihihihihine! I dohohohon’t need – stohohohohop it!”

Daichi smirked at the higher-pitched cackles he got when he dug his fingers into Asahi’s ribs. “Sorry, but I don’t believe you. I think another minute of this is necessary.”

117) Lee Noya, Ler Asahi

It was a good thing it was Halloween and the entire street was filled with the sound of screams, because Asahi had Noya screaming like a madman and for once it blended in perfectly.

“PLEHEHEHEHEHEHEASE!!” Noya begged, thrashing against the bed in a ticklish frenzy. “STAHAHAHAHAHAHAP ASAHI!!”

Asahi smirked down at him, checking to make sure the toy handcuffs he’d bought as a prank were holding and not chafing Noya’s wrists. “Calm down. I need to test your nerve endings before I unleash you upon the world.”

He found the spots at the back of his friend’s ribs that always got him wheezing with silent laughter. Sure enough, Noya dissolved into utter hysterics, too far gone to even care whether he was making noise or not.

After a few torturous moments Asahi let up on his assault and let Noya catch his breath, ruffling his hair and checking the handcuffs again. “Are you all right?”

“P-Plehehehease, Asa—doctor,” Noya giggled breathlessly, his keeping with the role play letting his friend know he was hanging in there. “You’ve made me too sensitive…”

“On the contrary.” Asahi got up and moved a little further down the bed, smiling at Noya’s panicked anticipatory giggles. They were playing Dr. Frankenstein and his monster, deciding to be a little more childish than usual on this festive evening.

Asahi grasped Noya’s ankle and scribbled across his foot, grinning at his friend’s resulting cackles and squirming.

“It’s imperative that I make you as sensitive as possible so that you better understand what it’s like to be a human being.”

He scratched at his toes and Noya tossed his head back and exploded into belly laughter that was a rare treat for them both. “Plehehehehehehease!”

“One final test,” Asahi mused, climbing back onto the bed and kneeling between Noya’s legs. Then he smirked and pulled out an item he’d been hiding all evening – a toy claw that they had learned was incredibly tickly to the poor libero.

Noya gasped and pulled uselessly at the handcuffs. “No!”

“Oh, yes.” Asahi firmly grasped his leg above the knee and dragged the claw along his friend’s inner thigh, and Noya let out a scream that could rival any haunted house. “I made sure to make this the most sensitive spot of all.” Then, unable to help it, he broke into an evil kind of laugh. “Mwahahahaha!”

“AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHASAHIIIIIII!!!!”

118) Lee Kageyama, Ler Hinata

This year, Hinata knew what Kageyama was dressing up as for Halloween. This year, he was prepared.

Their first year, his best friend had caught him by surprise. Last year Hinata had tried to compensate with a costume that was bulkier and would offer a bit more protection – which didn’t work very well at all.

This year, Hinata was going on the offensive.

When he knocked, Kageyama opened the door without any dramatics. He’d done that already; it was old news now that they were third years. But he was still dressed as a vampire – complete with cape and pointed teeth – and he still looked immaculate.

But not for long.

“What are you supposed to be?” Kageyama asked, frowning at his old-school getup.

“I knew you’d be a vampire again,” Hinata replied, smirking, “so I decided to be Van Helsing. And I’m taking you down, you despicable creature of the night!”

Before the setter could react, Hinata had tackled him to the floor, hopping on top of him to keep him from rolling away.

“Hinata!” Kageyama snapped, frantically undoing the clasp of his cape that had gotten caught beneath them in the scuffle. Once he could breathe easier, he growled, “What are you doing? You’re messing up my costume!”

“I happen to know vampires can only be killed with a stake through the heart,” Hinata said grandly, brandishing a wooden toy dagger that he’d had attached to his belt. “But lucky for you, I don’t want to kill you. I just want revenge.”

“What—ah!” Kageyama spasmed when Hinata began prodding the base of his ribs with the dagger, making him break into a smile and giggle despite himself. “W-Wait – whahahat are you—?!”

“Take this, vampire!”

Kageyama squealed and burst into giggles when the dagger continued to prod at one of his most ticklish spots, then broke into full-on laughter when Hinata used his free hand to dig into his belly.

“Ahahahahahaha! Hinatahahahaha, wahahahahait! I was gohohohohoing to go threehehehehehee for three!”

“Oh, I know. And I’m sure you will. But I was determined to get the jump on you first this time!” Hinata expertly warded off one of Kageyama’s flailing arms and dug his dagger in even deeper, making Kageyama shriek with laughter.

The setter desperately clawed at him and cried, “Okay, okahahahahahay! You gohohohohot me! Plehehehehehease!”

Hinata tossed the dagger aside with a triumphant smirk, but then he snatched up Kageyama’s wrists and pinned them down, hovering over him menacingly. “Oh, and one more thing…”

Kageyama really should have seen it coming, given that he’d attacked Hinata this way two Halloweens in a row. But it still shocked him into squealing giggles when the redhead leaned down and bit his neck with pointy, tickly teeth.

“Hinatahahahahahahaha!”

Hinata grinned. “Now, wicked vampire, my vengeance is satisfied!”

119) Switches Daichi, Asahi, and Suga

“Name five holiday movies,” Suga said, reading off the card in his hand before flipping over the timer.

To his left, Daichi dutifully and easily listed five holiday titles before his time was up. Then he drew a card.

It was the Christmas break after they’d graduated from high school, and the three former third-years from Karasuno had managed to find a single day to reunite and catch up and mess around like they used to in all of the chaos of visiting their families and whatnot. They had plans to go to dinner in a short while, but for now they were passing the time playing this game.

“Name five winter activities,” Daichi said to Asahi.

Asahi named three, then struggled with the last two so much that he ran out of time.

“I’m not used to thinking about winter sports,” he whined with a slight chuckle, reaching for a card.

“No one said anything about sports. The card said ‘activities’,” Suga reminded him.

Asahi pouted, then read off his card. “Name five Christmas characters.”

Suga did so, easily. When he reached for his card, he paused. “You know, this is almost too easy.”

“I was thinking the same thing,” Daichi replied.

“Speak for yourself,” Asahi muttered, but he was grinning.

Suga hummed. “Why don’t we add a twist to some of these?”

“Like what?”

“Well, for example…” Suga glanced at the card. “Daichi, name five Christmas carols, and we’ll try to distract you.” Then he flipped the timer.

Daichi started, “Jingle Bells, Silent N-ihihihihihihight?! Whahahahat – hehehehehey!”

Suga grinned, digging into his ribs while watching the timer. “Five seconds!”

“Ahahaha! Uh…G-Good Kihihihihing Wehehehehenceslahahahas – Ahahahahahasahi!” Daichi protested when his other friend started tickling his opposite side. “You guhuhuhuhuhuys!”

“Time’s up!” Suga announced proudly, ceasing his attack.

Daichi let out a few leftover giggles and grumbled, “No fair…”

“Of all the Christmas carols out there, you thought of ‘Good King Wenceslas’?” Asahi asked, dumfounded.

“Not all of us struggle with basic concepts, Asahi,” Daichi teased, reaching for his side in revenge.

“Hehehey! I hahahahaven’t beheheheheen given a prohohohompt!”

But it didn’t matter, because soon Suga was joining in with Daichi, and then he and Asahi turned on Suga, who immediately dissolved into his hyena laughter when they scribbled at his belly.

“Ehehehehehehehe! Stahahahahahahahap!”

Daichi and Asahi exchanged amused glances. “He still has that laugh, huh?”

“Dohohohohohon’t make fuhuhuhuhuhun of mehehehehehe!”

But they weren’t, and Suga knew they weren’t, and soon the room was filled with the sounds of all three of their laughs as they took turns tickling each other just like the old days at Karasuno High.

120) Lee Hinata, Ler Kageyama

“Hinata!” Kageyama snapped as he was pulled forward without warning, connected to his friend via oversized scarf.

“I got it!” Hinata declared proudly, holding up the chocolate he’d dropped on the ground. He began unwrapping it without a care in the world, oblivious to Kageyama’s glare in his direction.

Noya, as a joke, had given Hinata a way-too-large scarf for Christmas, which Hinata had of course worn proudly despite tripping over it several times. When the two of them had sat down to lunch, he took one look at Kageyama shivering in the cold wind and insisted they share the material for a little while. Kageyama had been secretly grateful at first, but now…

“Would you stop darting all over the place?” the setter cried as he was once again pulled forward against his will when Hinata went chasing after something the wind tried to snatch away. “You’re going to kill me!” He’d already almost choked on his milk and barely been spared from biting into his own finger instead of a carrot stick.

“Don’t be dramatic, Kageyama,” Hinata replied, sitting back up again. “Would you rather be cold?”

“At this point, yes!” Kageyama huffed. At the sight of his friend rolling his eyes, something inside him reacted automatically. He grabbed Hinata around the middle and yanked him closer, trying to get under his coat to tickle his belly and sides without looking like he was assaulting the redhead.

“Ah! W-What are you – Kageyahahahama!” Hinata squealed, realizing immediately the danger he was in but far too late to try and escape it. He giggled preemptively, squirming in the setter’s hold. “Dohohon’t be such a wihihimp! Next time I wohohon’t share my scarf with you – ah!”

Kageyama smirked victoriously. “Gotcha.”

“Nohohohohohoooo, Kageyahahahahahama! Dohohohohohon’t!” Hinata pleaded, giggling helplessly as his friend scratched and scribbled at his belly and hips as much as he could reach under his bulky winter coat.

“No fun being stuck to another person when you can’t get away, is it, Hinata?”

“Yohohohohou’re the one who agreheheheheheheed to this!”

“Oh, so it’s my fault?”

“Yehehehehehehes!”

Kageyama abandoned all pretenses and tackled his friend to the cold ground, unzipping his coat in a hurry to get to his ribs – his real weak spot. Hinata threw his head back and cackled hysterically, kicking and squirming all the while, but the scarf connecting the two of them made certain he wasn’t going anywhere fast.

It all ended up being much more fun than either of them anticipated.
