The Qing Jing trio but they're dating. Somewhat. At least BingFan are. Ning Yingying has a queerplatonic thing going on with both of them.

Like for some reason BingFan are co-head disciples and constantly trying to one up each other (in a very homoerotic way mind you). NYY feels left out so she secretly takes lessons from LQG so she could be on par with both of them.

This leads to her cultivation significantly improving and she can even topple MF over in a sparing match. LBH of course tries to give a backhanded remark before promptly getting thrown to the ground by NYY too.

Eventually when the Conference arrives and NYY actually gets selected too. All three go together and when the canon event happens, MF tries to pull LBH up but falters. They both end up falling in and NYY tries to pull them both up but ends up falling in too.

SQQ is panicking because "ohhhh fuck oh fuck. Ning Yingying and Ming Fan are going to die there. Of course LBh will be fine, but those two?"

Anyway he goes back to Qing Jing and does his whole mourning thing, and then all three come out and take over the demon realm.

SQH is the first to find out and was like "What... What the fuck?! That's not supposed to happen?!"

Eventually they go to Qing Jing and give SQQ the scare of a lifetime. Soon he gets used to it because aww his little ducklings are back 🥹

Just ignore that now all three can bring fear into a demon's heart. They're just his little babies. It's so unfortunate that he missed Ning Yingying and Luo Binghe's marriage :(

I’m probably the only one who sees mtt underneath nightmare as just coworkers who’d go their separate ways immediately after they escape. Coworkers who have a lot of history, most of it not good.

And still there would be a deep chasm of mistrust beneath them—they won’t talk about or discuss any personal matters, just enough trust to work together well and have no plans to kill eachother, but not enough to trust the other to not throw them under the bus or turn against them as soon as Nightmare says the word.

Honestly, the fact that there's still this level of interpersonal tension between Tuvok & Chakotay FIVE YEARS into the Delta Quadrant (though it no longer seems to be affecting their working relationship) is so juicy and also kind of insane - it's REALLY a shame that the bad blood between Chakotay and Tuvok was never fully explored because again this is SO LONG into them knowing each other for this tension to exist where Tuvok still jabs at Chakotay (despite no longer being insubordinate to him and seeming to genuinely grow to respect him) and Chakotay openly admits that they don't like each other.

i would like to say my ideal PJO adaptation (if i was being physically forced against my will to have to pick a live action adaptation over an animated one for some reason) would be a combo like writing of the musical + casting of the show + visuals of the movies

BUT the show actually does have the playwright for the musical as one of the major writers for like three episodes and that did nothing for it. so...

genuinely believe that the only correct way to approach the whole marecal vs mareven deal is to adore all three of them with your whole heart. and see them as a trio rather than a love triangle. like sorry but if you don't lowkey fw all of them and like each of them as a character on their own AND accept the many layers of the relationship they have with one another you're not getting things right :/

ok so im not the best artist/this was a late night impromptu sketch but i love this trio (lily, remus & regulus) as study buddies

i am so sorry to everyone who loves reggie bc i definitely did him the biggest disservice (can you tell idk how to draw straight hair)

ok now for details/hcs under the cut

lily's definitely the energy of the group, she tends to be neat but can get a bit worked up and therein makes very human stumbles (such as how she is dripping ink onto the table as she looks over remus's book) she also is such a drink while studying girly, here she's got a thermos of hot coffee both because she's sustainable like that and there's not really another way to get coffee to go around hogwarts...

remus is locked in but also aware that he can be a mess, he has to have his supplies all laid out even if he isn't using them at the moment, hence him taking up most of the table. aside from his assignment supplies, he also has a notebook where he keeps track of everything he needs to get done + ideas & random notes. [see my url lol]

regulus tends to be a bit more reserved within the group, but always listens and chimes in to help when needed, and sticks to more (wizarding) traditional note-taking, including using parchment for class notes. i also once again want to apologize for making it look like he's wearing a sailor moon costume, i just really fucked up the neat collar + sweater look 😭

finally, you can see how they're collaborating via their books/parchments, where lily highlighted in remus's textbook, remus added to regulus's class notes, and regulus revised lily's essay.
