i'm doing okay-ish. some very very kind people have helped me buy cat food for the creechurs and helped me buy groceries and i love them all very much.

what is art fight?? i googled it and i still don't really understand but it looks fun!!!

So it's like a yearly thing that's essentially one massive OC art trade event! People split into two teams, and then "attack" each other by drawing art of each other's characters. The teams win points based on how many attacks they do, and then the team with the most points wins. What do they win? No idea! But everyone gets to draw and get drawings, so it's pretty fantastic either way!

you know who touched (sorry) on a smidge of glove kink? the beautiful @syoddeye when they wrote Duke (on tumblr here and ao3 here), it's subtle but my god my brain lit up when i read it.

but if you're looking for a little something from me, i am more than happy to provide.

pairing: unnamed CoD fella x gender neutral reader.

tags/tw: a brief mention of needles, allusions to a piercing procedure, glove kink.

you know you should be paying attention as his voice washes over you. he's talking you through what to expect, showing you the sealed sterile needle, he even cracks a joke to put you at ease. but the problem is those damned gloves.

he's snapped on a pair of black nitrile gloves and you can't stop staring at the way they stretch obscenely over the back of his hands, contrasting against the skin on his forearms beautifully.

you fidget and exhale shakily when he settles on the rolling stool in front of you, an uncapped fine tipped marker held delicately between his gloved thumb and forefinger.

"ready?"

you nod and swallow the saliva pooling in your mouth.

"ready."

goosebumps erupt on your arms when you feel the warmth of his hand leaking through the smooth surface of his glove as it brushes against your skin. you stifle a sigh in your throat. fuck.

you close your eyes and breathe slowly through your nose, revelling in his delicate touch, anticipating his next move. there's a light touch of the marker against your skin before you hear the stool squeak as he moves to pick something up.

"there we go. take a look at the placement for me."

you open your eyes and blink at your reflection before your eyes move to the edge of the mirror gripped by his fingers.

"yeah. looks good." you breathe.

you miss the way his eyes dart from your lips to your dilated pupils, but you don't miss the way his fingers flex slightly.

(and you know that later tonight after you've appreciated the new metal adorning your body, you'll edge yourself to the memories of his voice and the feel of his hands on your body.)

The curse slips easily as she notices someone else enter the room, leaned back too far in her chair if only to allow her boots to rest upon the metallic table. It's far from her first instance of right place, not fast enough to outrun some cops, and ni truth - she's already had quite the long night as is.

So I finished Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Future Redeemed yesterday (like the adult that I am, I went past my bedtime to finish it and woke up late XD)

So what do I do now?

Write a new chapter for any of 3 wips I have at the moment? Reread any of the 3 new chapters that will be posted on Monday? Add more notes to the Xenoblade-inspired AC fic I have that I should really write and post before Mirage is released? Finish up all the sidequests and Collectopaedia to prepare for the super bosses in XC3 FR?

Naaaaahhh.

Instead I drew my AC blorbo and my Xenoblade waifu dancing.
