- baela had died during childbirth, her daughter having survived

- the first time you spoke to him since his wedding was at the funeral, which he barely said more than a word to you, cradling his daughter tightly in his arms

- you two were the best of friends as children

- you have loved him since you were a young girl and was devastated to hear of their engagement

- you begged and begged your mother to betroth you to him but she continued to refuse until it had been too late

- they loved each other so much which broke your heart

- you fled westeros as soon as the wedding had ended, choosing to instead spend your days in essos trying to forget about the dark eyed prince

- yet when you return he is only more handsome then when you had left

- you stay as far away from him as possible, he was so clearly grieving and you had not wished to disturb him

- you thought that would be it so late in the night with bag and hand you try to leave only to be shocked at the sight of jacaerys standing in the empty hall, clutching his cloak around himself as he stared at you

- he begged you not to go, to return to the keep with him even if its just for a little while

- it was so clear he needed someone so you agreed with much hesitation

- you tell yourself you will only stay for a week

- then a week becomes two then two becomes a month then a month becomes a year becomes two and suddenly you are living full time in the keep

- You two become close friends and you continue pushing down that deep deep feeling in your heart as you believe he will never feel the same

- yet one night you stand in the nursery, sitting on the floor giggling with the young laena who hits the blocks against each other until jacaerys shows up

- he urges a maid to come and put laena down to bed, you insist you can do it but he asks you to stay

- that is the night he kisses you for the first time

- you stop him just as quickly believing it to be a heat of the moment act

- “i did not think you would be so cruel. you must know of my affections.”

- Your wedding happens a fortnight from then

- your mother was furious, she had wished for you to marry someone, someone that was not of his kind she said

- and you blew up on her

- he had heard you and as soon as you had stormed out of the room he pulled you into a dark corridor and kissed you until your legs were shaking, for more then one reason

- his family was more then happy to welcome you into their side, you became fast friends with lucerys and joffrey and due to your experience in taking care of laena you help out with aegon and viserys which puts you in the good graces of daemon

- your family however was way more reluctant about your union, taking this opportunity to tease you about your marriage to the “strong” boy. your grandsire had even managed to corner you and attempt to pursued you to break off the engagement to which you quickly shut that down

- you did not care much for your familys feelings when you were more than happy

- your wedding went smoothly and you ended up having a mini honeymoon period in dragonstone where in a few months time you and jacaerys would be living

- when he had been informed you were pregnant three moons after your wedding he turned pale

- he even begun to flat out ignore you until you confronted him and told him you would not tolerate this and he snapped out of it

- he was scared. so scared he would have to suffer through the same pain he had those years ago but you reassured him everything would be okay

- though when you were laying on the bed covered in sweat and breathing heavily he was not too sure

- he demanded he be in the room, not allowing himself to make the same mistake as last time

- he let you grip his hand so hard he thought it would pop but it was not enough to distract him from the fear he felt as he looked at you, the women he was so in love with, in so much pain

- when cries fill the room and a babe is placed in your arms he finally allows himself to cry, you had a boy.

- He snarled at the maesters when they tried to put him in his arms first or when they asked him what he would like to name him

- he was furious at the disrespect you were facing but you did not care.

- “what about laenor?” You look up at him and smile

- he places a kiss on your forehead as he beams down at the babe. “its perfect.”

The fanon concept of Helaegon overtaking canon has been something to see. The only time they talk he completely ignores her wishes and instructions for their son. She never displays any care or compassion for him, and after the funeral, he never mentions Jaehaerys again. I don’t understand how everything she does have to be about him? We see her watching them bring Aegon home, and she does not look like she cares at all. Maybe that will change next episode and maybe she goes visit him, but based off of this it doesn’t make sense to me. Where are they getting this from? If her confronting Aemond was supposed to be about Aegon, we would have seen her and Aegon lol.

EXACTLYYYYY. I mean I have no idea how people are so unbelievably insistent on Aegon being this centralised figure in Helaena's life, when the very plot itself was written to determine how isolated Helaena is within her marriage and family itself.

I don't even particularly find Aegon x Helaena as a dynamic very intriguing, given... the fact Aegon actively doesn't give a fuck about her? Even Viserys and Alicent had more love and care within their marriage and their dysfunction literally RESULTED in the forming of the war. Helaena and Aegon don't speak, have no visible chemistry either? So I don't get the pairing other than girls online who think Aegon is hot, and are self inserting as Helaena? Like I COULD see the vision if Aegon deep deep down had care/love for Helaena. But we know he doesn't? We know he literally feels nothing for her, its even stated by the actors. So???? Huh?

And again, I truly fear for people's media literacy if they think Helaena was asking Aemond about Aegon. As you said she literally could not give a fuck if Aegon lived or died. She's not visited his ass ONCE LMAO. But you know who she did visit and seemingly will continue to have scenes with? Aemond.... hmmmm I wonder why??? It's almost like Helaena has a connection with her younger brother who also has suffered abuse from Aegon and neglect etc. Wowwww. It's almost like... Aemond and Helaena are paralleled in the story. Both just want to make their mother happy. Both keep their heads down and get on with it their ENTIRE lives and let Aegon ABUSE THEM - for their mother.

When Helaena said 'I forgive you' to Alicent, when Helaena showed sympathy and kindness to her mother despite Alicent forcing her into another traumatic situation... what did they think was going on there? Is Helaena saying I forgive you for fucking Cole? Nah i dont think so... I dont think Helaena gives a fuck about Alicent and Criston Cole. I think she is saying she forgives her mother for everything that has happened and everything that will. Because she knows Alicent will suffer in the end, will be alone with all of her children dead, for what? And no one else is to blame but Alicent (in regards to the care of her own children, which we see Alicent struggle with last ep). Aegon doesn't give a fuck about Helaena - because Alicent neglected all of her children enough to the point where they all are in a state of constant servitude to win Alicents love/affection.

Helaena literally sacrificed her life for her mother and so did Aemond. But the outlier is Aegon, who was both so neglected and abused but also pressured to care about the throne that, he became the abuser.

He abused Aemond and Helaena, and I don't get how people don't see that dynamic in the Greens.

I also have to point out, how could it be possible everyone is shipping a character as GROSS as Aegon is with Helaena. Cause let's be real, Aegon is gross, he literally is complicit in the sexual abuse of his little brother. And there is no doubt about it, Aemond def was sexually abused, the difference is - it wasn't necessarily by the Madame. She is still a prostitute who is at the mercy of a Prince? What is she going to do? Turn down feeding herself or risk being punished? Aegon is the one who forced Aemond into it, it's Aegon's fault that the encounter made Aemond feel so much shame and humiliation and wounded Aemond to the point of which that Sylvie is the only woman he is capable of sexual vulnerability with so far. And then on top of it, Aegon is martially raping Helaena? Which YEA it is marital rape considering Hel prefers him ignoring her over being drunk and pursuing her sexually. Do they really think about how deeply fucked up that is lmao? Helaena literally proclaims her preference for total neglect by Aegon, because 'when he's drunk' is implying that suddenly Aegon DOES pay attention to her... and we know what Aegon likes to do to women when he's drunk.

TGC is just a hot dude and a fantastic actor who plays Aegon completely charismatically and with alot of complexity. And Phia is the same, she's beautiful and has transformed Helaena from a dull one note plot device in the books, to a fascinating, captivating character who is the only truly innocent character in her family.

We can all feel the actors intentions behind the screen. Which is why Helaemond is such a huge thing.. because the actors went in with the intention that Helaena and Aemond share an affinity regardless of if it's familial or romantic. We know both Ewan and Phia, could sense something a level of understanding, safety, care between those two siblings. Where as again Phia and Tom have said neither Aegon or Helaena cares much about the other. They can't even bond over the fact they have CHILDREN. Hel is basically just a baby maker.

And speaking of Jaehaerys, I mean what does Aegon say after he finds out his son is dead in the small council? He asks why wasn't anyone there to protect their King? What if AEGON had been killed? Not what if my daughter had been killed, or what if my sister/wife had been killed? He asks what if it was ME?

I feel like that says it all about Aegons character, he is narcissistic and ultimately can only think about his own wants/needs. That is legit Aemonds whole beef with him in season 1, it's not even that he was bullied - it's that Aegon isn't worthy of being King because he is selfish and has no sense of duty/dosent care.

We see when they are kids and Aegon is like "i don't want to marry Helaena cause she is fucking stupid and we have nothing in common." That Aegon can't see beyond the fact HE thinks she is weird and isn't attracted to her therefore = I don't give a fuck about her and I don't want to do my duty.

And Aemond literally responds by saying "bro she's literally our sister/future Queen have some respect and be grateful cause ur the one who gets to keep our bloodline pure and carry it on." And what does Aegon say? " Ew why don't u marry her?" And what does Aemond say, "Yea bitch I would. I love duty/incest. Sucks mum didnt let us."

Okay obvs that is not a word for word account. But we see it RIGHT there as early as these characters introductions - we see Aegon x Helaena's dynamic is one of complete neglect/lack of love. I don't know what exactly is so attractive about that dynamic to so many? But I assume it's because Tom is hot.

Every time he looks at your husband, he gets wet. Whether it's your husband sitting on a chair with his legs spread. Whether it's your husband training. Whether it's your husband staring at him and smiling like a passionate idiot. He can't stand it any longer.

Aegon desires Jace as he never has before. But his husband seems so uninterested. Aegon is afraid he does not desire his as he once did.

Aegon's body changed. He has gained more weight. His skin that was smooth and soft is now rough and hairy. He hates himself. He hates looking at his reflection.

He is very sensitive too. after a really stressful day with the baby, he is in the couple's shared room. Jace kissed him gently on the cheek and said he would try to put the baby in his crib, that Aegon should rest.

Aegon is sitting up in bed, he is crying. It has been such an exhausting day. The baby was feeling some discomfort and he didn't know how to calm him down and also all this insecurity with his husband despising him sexually was killing him inside.

Jace enters the room and is about to take off his clothes when he notices his husband sniffling.

my creativity died here lmao, but Jace would walk over to his husband and he would comfort him and make it clear that he was just waiting for aemond to talk about it, that he didn't want to pressure him. Jace would soothe and kiss all of aegon's insecurities. They would make love all night long.

also I think that Aegon confusing Jace respecting his boundaries for lack of desire fits because growing up Aegon wasn’t shown too much affection or respect to his personal space (aka Alicent always grabbing him and hitting him even when naked) And also Jace is used to affection and showing it, so him trying not to cross any lines was new to him in the sense of giving him his space. Jace grew up surrounded by brothers and receiving and showing care easily. So these misunderstandings between them are more common than not, thankfully they talked it out and will only keep learning from it<3.

Both book and show canon Helaenas are sick of Aegon's shit. The book specifically says he "took offense" to Jace asking Helaena to dance with the implication of him seeing her as his property. Even Helaena's sassy "check under my bed" comeback about Aegon was way before even b&c happening. It means their marriage has long been fractured nor was their even any love loss between them. Most especially since it was stated they were not a love match at all. Aegon in his last days was looking forward to marrying Cassandra Baratheon without any thought to Helaena. It was the only thing occupying his mind that time. He had statues of Aemond and Daeron built yet not a single one for Helaena or her memory. So if readers and audiences treat this ship as crack, it's valid.

Okay first of all, piss off. I don't care about your opinion of my ship, and you hiding behind the anonymous status is such a coward move I'm almost laughing. But whatever, let's engage.

Firstly, Aegon and Helaena shared a bedroom until B&C, something that no other married couple ever did in GOT except for Ned and Catelyn. There might not be romantic love between them, but there was at least affection. Stop treating Aegon like some abusive POS.

Secondly, Helaena was specifically described as a happy girl that everyone loved. It means Aegon loved her as well.

Thirdly, Aegon made sure that the only women who would be called queens were Alicent and Helaena. Statues are mostly made for warriors and are basically unheard of in Westeros so Aegon is just showing he loves his younger brothers.

Fourthly, Aegon was in chronic pain, disabled for life and had lost everything. I'm not blaming him for looking forward to the one thing that might offer him some chance of happiness again, aka his wedding.

Finally, y'all really have no idea what a crack ship is. A crack ship isn't a canonically married couple, it's two characters who have zero interaction ever, shown or not, which isn't the case with Helaegon since they have three kids together. Also, since when the audience decides what's crack and what isn't, lmao? Not everything the audience says is valid, otherwise Daemyra would be a healthy romantic ship.

Alicent stans sometimes say that they don’t care that Alicent has no descendants, but at the same time say that she technically does have descendants through Aegon II’s bastards, which is true. But I find it to be poetic that her only living descendants are bastards, you know, one of the things she hated most, judging by her reaction to Rhaenyra’s children. Alicent wanted her bloodline to continue being on the iron throne, and she failed. Her only descendants are bastards who were never recognized.

Saying that the Hightowers are still in power as an argument against the Hightowers losing the Dance doesn’t work, because the Hightowers wanted the iron throne. They wanted their bloodline to continue having it and they failed. Clearly they weren’t content with just being rulers of Oldtown. They wanted the Targaryen throne too, and they failed.

Targ antis are just miserable because even though the Targs are currently no longer in power they are still the most important family in asoiaf and super relevant to the plot, they also have the most content, while their own faves the Hightowers, are still in power but aren’t relevant to the plot, and are likely going to be destroyed anyways by Euron.

I honestly think that the Targaryen antis are more rabid lately because House of the Dragon is a show about Targs, and so they have trouble avoiding Targaryen content, and they’re upset that their irrelevant faves don’t get as much attention from GRRM or the general fandom. It’s not our fault GRRM likes writing about the Targs most lol.

Hightowers were relevant for a hot second and then sank into the background again. Can't wait for it to swallow House Hightower and those insipid maesters, good lord but do they irritate me so much.

And to be fair, GRRM can claim favoritism all he likes on the Targaryens, but I ain't seeing it considering what happened in GoT and what's happening in HotD. He says Daemon Targaryen is his favorite Targ yet the character I see in the show is a writer's doormat for wokemania and GRRM praises that like it's the shit.

The only reason the character has the most appeal of all of them is because Matt Smith understood his assignment and did his best with the absolute shit he was handed and despite his scenes being cut out. Pretty sure there's enough material for a whole ass Daemon movie. But one actor can't carry your show forever and it will show sooner or later.

I saw someone saying that Rhaenyra wants to be treated as an equal but doesn’t necessarily care if other women are being treated as equal. And then another person commented well what if Jacerys was born as a girl would she have made her heir or Lucerys heir and they said to prevent conflict she would just have the siblings marry. I wanted to know what you think about it. I think it’s true in how Rhaenyra sees herself as the exception in getting what she wants and having it go her way etc. when Rhaenys warns her that men will always fight against a women on the iron throne Rhaenyra just goes “well I’ll create a new order”. Viserys being chosen over Rhaenys was proof they would always want a male on the throne. Before Jaehaerys died he could’ve just made Rhaenys heir since she is next in line but he didn’t. He had the council decide. Even after all of that I feel like Rhaenyra has that mindset where “well my father named me heir so I will be heir I am the exception” even after Rhaenys told her they had a chance to and they never did. And with the whole “well if her first born was a girl instead of a boy” I’m iffy on that too.

I personally do not think book nor show Rhaenyra cares that much about bringing other women into the fold power wise. We have ��proof” (I always take things with a grain of salt from f&b for obvious reasons. But this seems to check out more than the outrageous stuff in the book). Two daughters of different families, Rosby and Stokeworth, come to Rhaenyra asking for her to change their succession because their are eldest and their fathers had passed. Rhaenyra say no lol. Now people defend this choice by saying “she was at war” and didn’t want to lose allies. But really if she changed anything the only people it would’ve negatively affected would’ve been corlys (who advised her not to change it) and egg 3 (next in line and who would continue her bloodline).

And it’s just kind of ironic bc a lot of people who like Alicent (myself included) have no problem pointing out she does uplift patriarchal ideals. But when we point out her lack of power in the situation (despite being queen) we are making excuses for her decisions. But Rhaenyra is allowed to be queen and not do shit bc it would “ruin her claim”??? Right….

Like if Rhaenyra wants to be selfish and think herself as the only queen to live lmao that’s her prerogative. I think it’s faux feminist angle that people try to drive with her that makes me a little crazy

Now as for the show, despite how hard the show writers or team black may push it, show Rhaenyra has done nothing to uplift any woman around her. Her reign would’ve not changed a thing… it literally didn’t bc her son ends up being king after her and she never changes anything about the succession. She sets Baela and rhaena up to be the metaphorical cheerleaders to legitimize her SONS’ claim. There was no equals for Rhaenyra and there was never going to be because that is not her character. As for if jace was a girl, would Rhaenyra have made her heir. I think it’s safe to say that book Rhaenyra would’ve done whatever helped her claim… which would’ve been uplifting whatever boy came first. So luke in this case. I could see her marrying them. Ware Legacy Update Part 3!

Please ignore the jump in screenshots lmao I'm a dumbass.

But! Omg can I say that Eloise had the most doted on infant life stage?? Yes I can! Devon has been such an attentive mother-- she is always the first one to jump up and go check on Eloise whenever she cries, and Alice definitely pulled hir weight in being a good Bibi (gender neutral term for aunt or uncle) for Eloise.

And can we take a moment to look at that last screenshot of Nani? Absolute QUEEN right here! She has continued to work on her violin skill, and has been a very loving and caring mother all the while. Her and Devon's romance has continued to thrive during parenthood. They have a fantastic support network, and anyone and everyone is ready to jump up the moment either of them say they need some alone time or they need to rest.

I really think the only one to let her Rest meter get into the red was Devon, and that's just because she wouldn't put Eloise down to sleep and just wanted to hold her lol. But, luckily Bridget was always happy to hold her granddaughter.

Alice is still improving in hir job, and working on trying to manage hir work-life balance. Bridget has struggled with the same thing, and has been happy to give some advice in this regard.

And these other pictures are very cute, just showing their day-to-day life, and the last one is just my two buff babes chatting one evening. Alice definitely took after hir mom! Both of them are on top of their exercise routines.

A surprise to everyone involved! Shortly after Eloise reached the Roll Over To Back Milestone Nani revealed that she was once again pregnant! (And let me tell you I was rather surprised when that notification popped up) She told both Devon and Alice first, and Devon was more than thrilled!

Alice congratulated both of them, and promised Devon that both of them would always have their support when she started expressing her worries about having a second child so close to having their first kid! She was encouraged to just take every day as it came, and she made sure to do that. She spent just about every moment with Eloise, and it's just the most beautiful thing watching her grow as a mom and raise her parenting skill. She wanted Nani to rest while she went through her pregnancy and made sure her wife got her sleep and was taken care of.

And, of course, Nani was always appreciative, and showered Devon with affection and attention and love every single day.

Ashly also began making herself more of a presence in Eloise's life as well. She had been nervous to interact with an infant, and wasn't quite sure how to handle herself. But, Alice encouraged her to give it a shot, and just sit with her while she was on her play mat. And seeing her talking to Eloise was so cute, because she just talked with her! It was so sweet!

On Eloise's birthday, Devon decided she wanted to be the one to make the cake, and it looks like her baking skills aren't quite up there lmao. She did end up setting the oven on fire, but Bridget jumped up and extinguished the fire no problem.

Once they came back in and the cake was made for real, then Devon and Nani got on with the business of actually having Eloise blow out the candles.

This is like, by FAR, the cutest shot of these three. And it's Eloise with the most wide-eyed excited look, ready to blow out fire. And her moms are just adoring every moment of it!

Eloise aged up with the bonus trait of Top-Notch Toddler, and had the trait of Charmer (which definitely fit her).

She very quickly found all three of her Quirks, those being Early Riser, Loves Books, and Hates Being Carried (this was the only one to surprise me).

The weather continued to get warmer, and the family continued to get closer, and Nani continued to get closer and closer to her due date.

They are absolutely thriving as a household, and they are all ready to welcome a new baby into the house once again.

That AU were Alys is Alicent and Viserys' daugther, is forced to marry Jace and slowly falls in love with him while on Dragonstone....it has so, so many GREAT layers. Like, Jace and Alys slowly falling in love in a way that for outsiders might mirror the relationship between the Old King and the Good Queen but that is, in fact, unique to them. It feels so right that their love would develop in an almost Ghibli/how to train your dragon way, even though they are in Westeros. Alys trying to let herself be openly loved and struggling with it ♥️♥️ And one can only imagine Rhaenyra and Alicent looking at them falling in love and wondering what might hace been between the two of them if it weren't for Otto and Viserys' interference. On top of that, Alys and Jace just trying to figure out what kind of King and Queen they want to be, because, as you said, the two of them have complex relationships with their parents (mothers). And Aemond and Daemon on top of that!

You are so good at characterization, that your response to that ask by an anon was almost like peeking into that world!

I mean I think jaehaerys caused a lot more problems than he's given credit for, but he was overall good for Westeros, and I think Jace would try his best to live up to that example. and with his own alysanne!

but it's also a lot more tense, and Jace...

I always thought that he kind of resented himself/his appearance because it was a reminder of what he wasn't. and alysanne has that (in this verse), and she doesn't seem to value that security. so that's also an added dimension to their relationship!

but yeah, it's a softer, gentler kind of love, but still passionate! I think IKYLAO Alysanne needs Aemond's darkness/selfish qualities because she has those buried deep down within herself. alysanne would have never showed the side of herself with Jace that she did with aemond during her time at king's landing (like screaming at him, trying to hit him, etc). not that anyone should want to do those things, and of course they're still toxic things to do, but there's a comfort in it because aemond is just as fucked up as she is. Jace doesn't have that darkness in him. I mean he could have in IKYLAO, but he never got there. alysanne had it since drift mark.

but yes, alysanne loves Jace's affection and cuddliness in this AU universe. the openness in which he loves people. she's never had that. her family is very dysfunctional, even though they do love each other deeply.

in this universe, let's say Otto, Larys, Viserys and Daemon die in a fire, so they all get to live happily! they all heal together. I think it would grate aemond because he can see that Jace offers her something he never could, because he doesn't know how to give it, but he needs it too, that love/care/acknowledgement, even though he doesn't want to admit it.

I'm rambling again, but I really love this universe sm!!

Yeah, I think… the idea that they’re angling towards another game in this franchise makes sense. As others have pointed out, there’s SO many notes and memos setting up Gent as important and sinister, but Gent has no real part in this story other than “an explanation for what all this non-studio stuff is,” and you’d only really need one memo for that. Establishing Mr. Gray as a sinister figure who’s looking for the Ink Machine doesn’t serve any purpose in THIS game… so you have to wonder if it’s meant for another.

I’m just… well, I dunno, I don’t have as much curiosity about the world of Bendy as I did before BatDR. Lemme ponder this...

Like, I was curious about the space between 1946 and close of studio – you know, were they still doing cartoons, or did they pivot into Bendyland? Who was composing music for them? What actually happened to Bertrum? – and I guess some of those questions still stand, but apparently that time period is mostly setting up Gent taking over, making it less and less of an animation studio, bringing in an outside force I’m a lot less interested in. And like, I was curious about how various characters became the way they are in BatIM – but... BatIM is fictional in BatDR’s canon, so… they didn’t. Joey made it up. End of mystery. I don’t necessarily think that’s a poor choice for a story, but it does kind of close the door on exploring the original BatIM and makes it sort of impossible to return there again. And I was curious how bringing back the Bendy franchise in-world would affect the Ink Realm – I thought the concept of a “dark revival” that’s actually a literal revival of the franchise was a really neat idea – but… it isn’t, really. The Ink Realm is only different because Wilson is able and willing to muck about in it for unexplained reasons; it's unaffected by the new studio and new cartoons starting up haven’t affected the ink realm in any way.

So, gosh, what would I even be curious about? What is there to explore or discover? BatIM's fun as you try to peace together What Went Wrong, but it's harder to find something relevant to piece together here. The Gent-brand Unethical Science Zone might use the ink machine to make weird monsters, I guess… But that doesn’t really have anything to do with anything that I care about. “We’re morally questionable and have a machine that can make sludge monsters, what crimes will we commit” isn’t a super compelling premise on its own.

But okay. I’ve thought about this for a bit and here’s a thing I can come up with on short notice:

I would enjoy a game where you play a major character (Joey’s a good one; Sammy, Alice/Susie, Allison, and Tom would also work) in Audrey’s reset Ink Realm, maybe with minimal memories after the reset, but trying to figure stuff out by searching through the various memories in the form of audiologs and memos throughout the Studio; bonus points if something in the narrative confirms that regardless of how fake the world is, these memories ARE real, so that we can trust audiologs again lmao. You learn you are probably artificially created, but want to know more about the person you were supposed to be and their relationships to the others, and probably end up questioning whether or not this person is someone you actually want to be by the end.

This world is Audrey’s design, so it can be more focused on an Animation Studio and lean more into the cartoony potential of BatIM’s premise.

Probably something is Not Right in the ink world due to Gent’s meddling – in this kinder cycle, something terrifying is starting to seep in that its inky residents don’t understand, which would give space for Inky Horrors and the usual industrial elements that, in this new world, would be Out Of Place and upsetting.

One neat option would be if you’re trying to learn enough to escape to the real world and find Audrey, the only person who could fix it. As established in BatIM, characters (like you) need a soul to exist in the real world, so if you find enough Real memories of the Real Person behind your creation, maybe that can give you one.

That’s 5 characters listed in the first point, and there’s usually 5 chapters, so each character getting one chapter could theoretically work – you’d need a pretty tight story arc for each if you went this route, but it would enable doing multiple perspectives, which I think would be cool. Bonus points if each person you can play as can find a different Piece of what’s really going on, and once you have all five, you get a new game plus of sorts where you learn the Horrible Truth

Obviously there’s probably some deeply foreshadowed thing where you do escape at the end, but find yourself in the Gent labs. I just think it would be fun to see these half-cartoon people wander around in the real world. You can have an optimistic “Audrey’s been captured by Gent and we save her” ending or a horrifying “you’re not even the first [insert character here] we’ve just been replacing you with new ones every time one of you gets out” vibe

Or you could treat each character as its own "route" and do fun things with multiple endings – don’t collect enough memories and you come out of the machine as horrible sludge and get destroyed immediately; collect all of your memories and come out okay but get immediately captured and get a bad ending; collect all 5 characters’ memories and get the new game plus where you ALL leave the machine together and are able to avoid getting captured and explore the real life Gent building, taking advantage of your cartoon nature to get into somewhere you're not supposed to be

This is less of a “ooo what are you hoping for” and more of a IN AN IDEAL WORLD WHAT COULD ENTICE ME. idk if its a GOOD idea, but it’s a concept that fits the genre and the lore set up so far, that would actually be interesting to me!

- Leaving little post it notes in his bag or inside the cover of his textbook to tell him to have a nice day or remind him to take care of himself because you know he has a tendency to work too hard sometimes!! And what if he meets up with Sucrose and Timaeus because they like to catch up and sometimes discuss their research or homework, and they see Albedo hiding a grin behind his books and think that he's solved a particularly difficult problem but it's just a cute little note you slipped him when he wasn't looking

- You stay up studying for exams with Albedo and he dozes off on your shoulder so you sit there afraid to move because you don't want to wake him but you're also dying inside

- The two of you go to the library to work but eventually get distracted so it turns into the two you sitting close together on a couch and reading each other sections from your favourite books

- I can also see him as someone who rambles about labs or new research he's absolutely taken by. Weeks later when you mention something he said before, he's a little surprised but you just tell him that you tried your best to understand everything because you know it's important to him and maybe his heart skipped a little

- Going off your headcanons: Albedo looking for little specimens and deciding it could be a fun outing with Klee so she can get some sunshine and you find the two of them in the park. You end up joining them and Albedo's heart softens seeing you and Klee laughing and smiling together!

- I remember this little headcanon you had where he snorts when laughing sometimes and imagine Albedo letting one slip out while he's with you, and Kaeya teasing him later on.

- Eventually, his friends start asking if the two of you are together because of the silent affection and teasing between the two of you. Albedo knows he likes you but he's scared a relationship will ruin everything and you're too important to lose even if it means he never says anything, but little did he know, you have feelings for him too.

College au Albedo is pretty close to how he normally is! Brilliant, though having difficulties with making friends and keeping said friends, getting carried away with experiments (did you know if you're on good enough terms with the professors, they'll vouch for you so you can use the lab when there aren't classes using them?? Yeah)...so the friendship that you have with him is certainly the closest one he has.

It'd be the kind where you knock on his dorm or apartment door at 11:45pm with some takeout and your textbooks and he'll let you in without a second thought. You slip inside and settle on the floor next to the coffee table cross-legged, setting the food out as if you don't live a good walk away. He wasn't going to sleep any time soon anyway.

Like the kind of friendship where your hand instinctively slips into his to tug him towards something cool you found or to the café where you tend to go after classes.

Even after you get to your destination, you don't let go.

Now that that has been established--the little notes you slip into his bag or on his books really began as a little reminder. Despite his keen intellect, Albedo tends to easily forget things because his mind is always going onto the next thing. So, being the great friend you are, would just slip a note to remind him to take breaks, eat a snack, or that you're supposed to go and meet Sucrose and Timaeus after class to prep for the upcoming exams.

Neither of you really know when they began to turn into doodles or 'seemingly platonic declarations of adoration'. It's normal for friends to write a heart besides "Don't forget I love you!", right? Yeah.

The smile that makes it's way on Albedo's face is unmistakable the moment that Sucrose accidentally stumbles upon a sticky note carefully tucked in one of his notebooks.

Speaking of Albedo and his tendencies to get carried away with stuff, he often functions on...minimal sleep.

Those nights that you pop up at his place to study or just hang out, he often ends up dozing off, glasses sliding uncomfortably down the bridge of his nose and hair tousled out of it's usual style.

You never plan to stay the night (though even when he's awake he insists you do because it's not as safe at night to make the commute home), but you can't just disturb his sleep when it's the first time in a while that he's probably gone without taking a capsule or two of melatonin to help himself back into some semblance of a sleep schedule.

It's these moments that you remember just how soft his hair is and just how nice his shampoo smells.

Also that he's a cuddler.

You awake in the morning, back aching and eyes squinting against the sudden brightness of the world around you and limbs tangled with your best friend. He's unbothered because his face is half-shoved against the crook of your neck.

With the library, you often find yourselves in a little game. There's so much to learn and so, so many topics through the old vanilla-scent found between pages!!

So trips to the library end up with the two of you digging and sifting to find a topic you've never heard of, sit and read for 15 minutes, then proceed to explain said topic the best you can (without looking!!). It almost always ends up with a few chuckles from Albedo as you fumble explaining (and half-making up) information and Albedo's (unfairly) great short-term memory winning out.

Speaking of...between actually studying and your little topic games, Albedo turns to you to bounce off his current observations and ideas. Sucrose and Timaeus, though both in similar majors as Albedo, are busy with their own projects and research to the point that they don't really have the time to help with stuff as extensive as his research.

Annnnd, naturally, since you don't have anything better to do and are almost always by his side, you play that part!

You listen intently no matter how dense the subject may be and no matter if you do or do not have the background knowledge.

When you ask him to explain something you don't quite understand, he can't help but blink in surprise because you were listening??? And wanted to really understand? You prove time and time again (even days, weeks later) that you listened to every word that tumbled out during his rambles.

And of course you do! Albedo's one of the most important people to you, so it's only natural that you want to show interest in his interests.

Also it's pretty cool to find out those random bits of trivia (like lobsters and their repairable telomeres-).

Klee!!!

Oh man, the first time that you met Klee was a pretty hectic day for Albedo. Due to his Aunt Alice's incredibly busy schedule, he tends to care for Klee on days that he doesn't have class.

However, that particular day he just barely finished class before he had to go and pick her up from school.

With you in tow, that is.

Immediately, the little girl brightens up at your presence, no doubt excited from what she's heard about you (listening in to Albedo's conversations with Alice and the embarrassed tone in his voice when he realizes that he's let your name slipped again and now Aunt Alice wants to know about this particular friend who's captured dear little Bedo's attentions). He's relieved when Klee doesn't immediately reveal that.

From then on, Klee insists that Albedo invites you for every outing they have.

The cafe for a quick treat? The bookstore to sit and read a few books?

"Oh, please please please?? Can they come Albedo? Klee promises that she'll be good!"

Who is he to say no?

But above all, those park days are his favorite. You end up running around with Klee, lifting her up so she can reach a particular leaf on a branch, squatting down to see a bug or lizard that she's entirely enthralled by--all while Albedo sits under the shade of a tree on a blanket, sketchbook and pencil in hand.

You don't know it (even though there's many occasions where he's shown you his sketchbook), but the pages are filled with your smile.

Around you, Albedo's found that he's most comfortable.

There's no need to hide insecurities or hold his tongue when something particularly exciting comes to mind...nor does he hold back in his laughter. Especially with your insistence that his laugh is cute.

That scenario with Kaeya is entirely an accident, proof of just how used to your presence he's become.

It's a late night and you're out with a bigger group of friends than usual, some friends that Albedo's only known since the start of college, but definitely good ones.

With a drink in your hand you all sit at a large table, chatting about anything and everything when you crack a joke and Albedo snorts.

Not like a snort with his normally quiet chuckle, either.

Instead, he's laughing hard, tears gathering at the corners of his eyes and stomach hurting (and maybe it's because of the few sips of drink he's had) and he snorts. The moment the sound escapes him and he's trying hard to calm back down, Kaeya grins.

He's most definitely one of the first people to put two and two together.

After all, Albedo keeps to himself, even around them. But with you around? There's a certain spark of life that ignites.

It's no surprise that the two of you are close when all is said and done.

But that doesn't stop either of you from choking and cheeks from flushing when someone asks if you're a couple. It happens often--too often to count--and ranges between Kaeya's teasing comments and a few sweet words from an elderly woman passing by your table at the cafe.

And you laugh--you and Albedo--because no, no, you're just friends.

Right?

Then the light hits your features just right, illuminating you in a soft glow that makes your eyes shine and--

It's undeniable the way that he feels for you. The sudden quickening of his heartbeat is proof enough. You slide your drink towards him for him to try and he does the same, eyes unable to leave your lips as you take a sip and then smile.

Between the cracks of his appreciation, of this warmth, dread seeps.

Though...that was just over a week ago.

Sitting down back at his apartment, your head resting on his chest and your hands intertwined while you watch whatever's on tv, you shift. Your lips meet in a sweet kiss.

And Albedo wonders how neither of you managed to see it sooner.

Joker: “yolo” in its most dangerous form, def is writing a slow burn enemies to loves fic about him and Batman. Gay and homophobic 💯 The other rogues don’t invite him to pride celebrations anymore cause he’ll keep calling people slurs “as a joke”. Him and Edward have longterm beef, like schoolgirl levels of petty drama.

Harley Quinn: would describe herself as a “girlboss” unironically while committing heinous crimes. tweeted “clowns aren’t funny” after breaking up with Joker (ended up causing a huge scandal). The OG “I can fix him” girl. Is sort of the rogues free underground therapist (god knows they need it) cause they can’t get professional help without being sent to Arkham.

Poison Ivy: Breaking News: Cottagecore lesbian commits mass murder cause her plant wilted. She’s what republicans think environmentalists are. Would get in a fist fight with that vegan teacher cause “plants have feelings too”. Has beef with most of the male rogues, supports ‘kill all men’ without realizing it’s a joke (she prefers ‘kill all humans’ but figured she had to downgrade because the Gotham city sirens are humans technically).

Cat Woman: “OH NO! It appears I’ve gotten stuck backwards in the bank vault step-Bat 😏😏😏😏😏😏, looks like I’m not stealing any more diamonds today 😰😩”. Mad respect for Selina, she just wants diamonds and bat dick, no tragic backstory or complex motivations needed. I personally like to headcanon her as wearing a straight up cat costume (ears and a tail like a true furry) cause it’s way funnier to imagine a sophisticated rich woman dressing up as a cat to steal shit than whatever bullshit DCs up to these days. Trans catgirl supremacy 💎👍

Scarecrow: That one guy who gets angry at people because “Halloween costumes are meant to be scary 🤬😡😑😒”. Doesn’t even attempt to express emotions, is the human embodiement of this emoji: 😐. His presence is more jarring than threatening, his intimidation levels are somehow underwhelming and overwhelming at the same time. The other rogues have collectively decided that he’s asexual under no assumption other than that they don’t want to imagine Jonathan having sex. Overtime Jonathan has become basically fearless (he smokes his own fear gas like vape just to feel something). Jonathan and Harley became good friends when they both worked in Arkham, their dynamic is surprisingly wholesome.

The Riddler: Didn’t get hugged enough as a child and is now making it everyone’s problem. Would hold a bank hostage to show Batman his third grade spelling bee medal. Is the only autistic rogue that gets accommodations in Arkham because he won’t stop bugging the guards. FTM trans ofc (his names Edward Nygma for Christ's sake). He ran away from home at seventeen and faked his own death (his deadname is legally dead lmao). Uses the terms “alpha, beta, and omega male” unironically.

Two Face: “Yeah, I mean, I didn’t wanna blow up the orphanage either, but Y’know the coin said-” The other rogues talk to Harvey as if he’s constantly at his breaking point, which is half true. Harv is a stone cold mf, he’s the rock that’s holding Two Face together tbh. Edward calls Harvey and Harv Jekyll and Hyde cause he’s that original. All the rogues have at least a sneaking suspicion that Bruce Wayne is batman and use Harvey as their little primary source (being ex besties and everything), until they find out Selina and Bruce are a thing of course. No matter how much evidence he’s faced with Harvey will never accept Bruce Wayne is batmam, he’s not ready to consider that one of the only positive people in his life has been duking it out with him this whole time.

Penguin: He’s the rest of the rogues chill gay gangster uncle I don’t make the rules. The iceberg lounge is like the Batman villain equivalent of The Central Perk from friends (aka: its their default place to hangout). Oswald always makes a fuss about them not making reservations ahead of them but at this point it’s just performative. Everyone’s 99% sure Oswald and Edward fucked at some point (Edward always makes a show of flustering Oswald when he needs a loan). Ossie always takes care of the others belongings when they’re in Arkham (he has a special place in his heart for Jonathan‘s crows).

The Mad Hatter: I love Jervis lmao he just really likes Alice in Wonderland and that’s a valid ass villain motivation 👍. One of the smartest rogues but doesn’t get enough credit because of how childish he is. He dresses in kids clothes, not just because he wants to but because he’s small af and can’t fit in shit. In public while the rogues are undercover Jervis usually wears a beanie or a baseball cap (he’d get spotted instantly if he wore his usual, but on bad days Jervis can’t bear to be without a hat). Jonathan and Jervis play chess a lot together in Arkham, and frequently engage in intellectual discussion, Edward tends to be a piss baby when Jon encourages him to do the same, he’s not ready to accept the reality that Jervis can match his intelligence.

Killer Croc: Waylon has a surprising amount in common with Jonathan, they share southern solidarity. He doesn’t travel out of the sewer often so the rogues will occasionally come to visit Waylon there (Edward always makes sure to complain loudly about the smell). Will show immense affection and loyalty to anyone who treats him as human (poor guy just needs a friend ☹️).

Mr Freeze: Literally just dead inside, someone give this poor bastard a hug. Victor stands as the most awkward rogue, he‘s sorta like the odd one out. The other rogues don’t interact with him that often because he’s sort of a party pooper. He’s the straight friend on thin ice, haha get it. Mr Freeze is my sisters favorite Batman villain because she thought the ice puns were funny in Batman in Robin, little does she know I’m embarrassing myself on tumblr in her glory.

Music Meister: So many of the Gotham rogues have horrible childhood trauma and Music Meister is just like “people bullied me for being a theater kid 😩😭💔😔”. In all honesty he’s iconic, in my au universe thingy I have him join the dork squad latter on and he sticks out like a sore thumb for a bit. I feel like him and Jervis would really hit it off though (mind control buddies, ha), although Jervis would always get him to sing Alice in Wonderland songs. In Arkham they have him wear a dog collar thingy and zap him when he sings, he gets bullied for that lol. anyways I’m sure I could make more of these, but it’s 2:20 am and my mind went blank. Alice is a bad friend

And no one wants to admit it. Several times throughout the books she shows us how little she actually cares about Bella. We know Bella hates attention and what does Alice do force her to have a birthday party. Bella hates weddings and after she agrees to marry Edward wants to Elope? Alice guilt trips Bella and tells her she doesn’t even love her because she won’t let her throw her Bella a wedding. Bella wants to see Jacob? Alice keeps her hostage in exchange for a Porsche, which she can buy her self btw. She also knows that the day Edward and Bella breathe on eachother for four hours in the meadow that Bella might not make it out of there, she still encourages Edward to go because she wants Bella to be her Barbie doll friend. Actually on that note, in midnight sun we find out there’s a bigger chance Bella becomes a happy meal to Edward but if she makes it they’ll be great friends which is why she encourages Edward to talk to her in the first place

Alice’s Gift is only a Plot Point

I know there’s at least one person who won’t accept this but oh well. But seriously her gift works solely for Bella’s story. She can’t see the wolves because she was never a one of them, same with Renasberry, right? Wrong. She was able to see James coming to eat her when she was a human, she’d never been a vampire. On the topic of the wolves, would Bella never leave Jacobs side after that? Like she should have been able to see Bella at some point in the future because she wasn’t with Jacob at every second of the day.

Also her gifts work if she’s looking for a certain person or said person affects her in some way. The whole point that the volturi need Alice doesn’t make sense because she would have to focus on every vampires intention to hurt the volturi and as we see in breaking dawn it’s exhausting to be constantly searching so she’d be kind of useless. Not to mention the decision to attack the volturi could very well be random and it would be too late before she saw it coming because she can’t se last minute decisions, which is why she didn’t see Bella going off to the ballet studio in the first book.

Supposedly she used her visions to find the safest option for her to survive, which should be the volturi honestly so that doesn’t really track. Alice is just molded into whatever SMeyer needs at that moment and it’s usually for Bella’s sake.

I’m sorry but she not a good person

I mean other than how she treats Bella. Homegirl was the first one to throw the dog insult to Jacob (not getting into how SMeyers treatment of the wolfpack was so racist it’s unbelievable people still defend her). She tells Bella that werewolves aren’t safe when her husband literally slurped Bella up like a capri sun a few months prior on her birthday.

The first thing she does when she wakes up is literally have a vision of Jasper and she says, “ooh a confederate? That’s the one for me.” And before any one comes for me and says she changed him canonically SMeyer has said that the mindset they died in is the mindset they have so fuck off he’s still racist and he was proud to be a confederate in eclipse, and yes I headcanon him differently because I love Jackson Rathborne. Anyways back to Alice…

She uses her gift to manipulate everything. There’s one point in the books where she’s says that she knows something because “she’s seen it” and Bella can’t tell if she’s just saying that because there’s no way to know and she knows she can just say that and people will believe her. She issues her gift to have an endless supply of money that she uses so no one in the Cullens wears the same thing twice. I’m sorry but do you know how wasteful that is? Not to mention that would be so suspicious even if she did donate them, which would jeopardize the Cullens. She has all of this money and does absolutely no good with it, I can’t stand her.

They e been around so many years you would think they would invest in a lab to make some kind of synthetic blood but she doesn’t actually care about people, as stated above when she was risking Bella’s life on the off chance she gets a friend. And she knew she would have to go with the Cullens so she tried the veggie diet on and off not because she cared about humans but because she needed the Cullens protection as a coven.

Also Alice and her love of shopping and parties, if Alice had been juman Bella would have HATED her. Jessica likes the same things but she’s villanized because that’s superficial and shallow. Alice is Jessica in vampire form but everyone loves Alice because she’s quirky and fun and buys stuff for Bella that Bella doesn’t want.

I will absolutely add more to this but this is all that comes to mind at the moment.

Twilight characters as random animals that I think are oddly fitting

(Also yes, I am roasting the animals as well)

Edward: He would be a Cheetah. Now I know, seems like a cop out just because of his speed but hear me out. Cheetahs are, at face value, pretty cool. They used to be my favorite animal as a child, but then I grew up.

Cheetahs, through no fault of their own, are severely inbred. Now thats mainly because of poaching, but the cheetas anxiety also comes into play. In captivity, cheetahs are usually given emotional support dogs. I will admit it is cute but it negatively affects the population. Excluding one in the wild, cheetas can be to anxious to breed and thats not good for conservation efforts.

Cheetahs can hit up to 80 miles per hour in a couple of seconds. They are designed for fast running and agility. Their claws are similar to that of a dogs for better traction and they have elongated spines for longer strides. They have a thin build, long legs and a long tail for balance.

This has downsides though. Many times after making a kill, it will get stolen for them by larger predators. Thats right, they get absolutely bodied by the other animals. I should probably make these shorter but I'm on a rant now, so I guess this will be semi educational.

Throughout the series, we see Edward over estimated his abilities and value, constantly getting bodied by others. He's essentially a perfect mormon, though thats on S'meyers. He constantly judges others, dehumanizing them to their baser flaws, without doing any self reflecting. Him viewing himself as a monster doesn't really count to me. While he definitely hates himself, the only thing he is truly demonizing is being a vampire.

Bella: Picking up from Edwards, Bella is a Chocolate Labrador. Yes, she is his therapy dog. I feel like this is really fitting for her. I know Golden retriever would make more sense, as thats the most common breed for service animals. However, I kind of focused on her appearance. Only at first though! I just know that Edward raved about her human qualities and that would pass over as animals as well. Her chocolate eyes and brown fur, very average and boring. Thats essentially Bella. Even Edward wasn't into her until he got a wiff. Labradors a very loyal dogs and while they have more personality than Bella, I just couldn't shake it. Their also very stupid. Ok that's kind of mean, they're not stupid but when it comes to love, then yeah they are stupid.

I used to have a lab, loved him to death, but god he was something else. Very much danger prone, from their own stupidity or their lack of survival instincts. I know that labs are almost aquatic. They love water, swimming, all that jazz. We can just say that bella has a few screws loose in her dna and is just "not like other labs."

Rosalie: Now she was hard. There are quite a few animals that I think would fit for her. I'll list the other ones, but that one I went with is the Swan. Like Edward, seems a little on the nose, but I have my reasoning.

I was going to pick a predator for her, as she is shown to be very vengeful and viscous. I would have pick some type of cat, most likely a purebred, from a rich family. It could still work, but the swan just speaks to me on this one.

Swan's are known for being beautiful, graceful, and are pictured as the symbol of love. They are also very vain. Edward constantly brings up Rosalies vanity. She was constantly valued for her beauty as a human, so of course that crossed over in the transformation. She was raised to be married into wealth, she was used as a bargaining chip to increase the family's standing.

Rose has a very strong character and makes her opinions known. She's assertive and aggressive at times. She's not afraid to get dirty.

Swans mate for life and like geese, are known for being great parents. I was also going to choose geese as an option for the maternal instincts. I was wary at first because swans can be really aggressive. Like actually, you think geece are bad? Yikes bestie...

I was conflicted because swans are known for drowning dogs and sometimes people. However, I can actually see Rose drowning Bella. It's not that unbelievable lmao.

Emmett: Now this one is just ironic. I only associate him with bears. Its inevitable, but picking a Grizzly or Black bear is too obvious. So I went a slightly different route...

So I was going to pick the Sun bear just because of looks alone. Like, I'm not exaggerating, it looks like someone wearing a bear costume. I don't think it fits him but I know for a fact that he would dress up as a sun bear and sneak into a zoo to see if anyone would notice. I'll put a pic of it here

Anyway, what I picked was a Sloth Bear. Now Sloth bears are mostly nocturnal, which either way works consider vamps don't sleep. Their diet is also odd but honestly so is the cullens. They're native to the Indian subcontinent, and are known for being aggressive towards humans. Its said that for the most part they're pretty calm, so I think its just fear of humans that make them act aggressively. Honestly, that's a good thing because they are listed as vulnerable on the IUCN Red list.

They have some similarities with sloths, which is where they get the name. They have long claws and unusual teeth. They are known to hang upside down from tree branches, and is described as having a messy appearance. Honestly, Emmitt has a messy personality. Sorry bestie but you're a lot of work.

Now heres the biggest reason for choosing this bear. Aside from Baloo from the jungle book being a sloth bear, they are known to run fades with Tigers. Honestly, how fucking badass is that!? Now I don't think there are recorded instances of a Sloth bear killing a Tiger, but when push comes to shove, they can hold their own and I find that incredibly impressive.

Carlisle: This one was somehow the easiest as well as the toughest. I know Owl seems like the obvious choice, and I can see it. However, I believe Carlisle values emotional intelligence as much or if not more than academic intelligence. He is so charismatic and values other's above himself. He might not be as Saint like as Edward thinks, but he does try and I think he genuinely cares about others. For that reason alone, I choose a Elephant.

Elephant's are very social animals and are extremely intelligent. I could rave about them for ages, I love them so much.

Now elephants live in a familial unit and are usually matriarchal. Bulls usually are on the outer edges of the herd or form little groups with other males. Honestly, they're not that bad aside from when their in musk.

In the group of males, the elder ones will teach the younger where to get the best food, water, how to use things as tools, and every other thing that will increase their odds of survival. This is really cute to me tbh, they do this because the females usually choose the older males because they've proved that they are intelligent and strong, that they have survived and will continue to for awhile. Teaching the younger males these things are to make the odds of them getting chosen to mate more likely. The whole unit just reminds me of a father that has to deal with rowdy teens.

Carlisle likes to take in strays, he might not have a herd but he will make one and teach them to thrive. That's how he envisions it anyway. He just has a found family and is trying his best.

Esme: Now this might seem like an insult, but I promise it's not! This is in no way misogynistic. I love cattle and ever since I took animal science in highschool, I have appreciated these grass puppies like they deserve. Call me Castro because I love cows.

Yup! I chose a Cow for her. Specifically a beef cow. That might sound weird but its because beef cows have higher maternal instinct than dairy cows. I'm thinking Scottish Highland based on vibes alone.

They are nicknamed the Gentle Giants of Scotland. Super maternal and sweet and ugh look how cute they are!

Esme came from a abusive marriage and had just lost her child, she was depressed and desperate. Her changing was, in a way, salvation. She just fits in. She adopts all these strays along with him and will protect them to the death. She might be gentle by nature, but don't fuck with her family. She lost her first one and she isn't going to lose this one.

Alice: She's an odd one. There are so many possibilities and maybe I'm biased, but I feel like she would be a Crow.

Ok listen, I'm definitely biased but it just feels right. Crows get a bad rap, they are so cool! They are so intelligent and have the ability to actually sit and think about the past, prest, and future. I forget what its called, but this was only seem in humans! Maybe other apes, I can't remember exactly, but either way its awesome. They do live in groups, or murders, and remember people and faces. They remember locations and are able to pass down information through generations. They essentially have their own language! They are able to use tools too!

Alice's story is really sad. When we first meets her, it revolves around the death of her mother and her institutionalized. She was essentially tortured and forgot everything from her past. All she had was the future and even that wasn't constant. Crows a often viewed as omens, they are associated with death. I personally believe that instead of being the cause, they just know something is going to happen. They are very inquisitive and can be creative.

If you befriend a murder of crows, sometimes, depends or the group, they will bring gifts. Its can range from food to shiny metals and colorful plastic. Hell, I think I've seen a post of one stealing things from people just to gift it to their human.

Alice's love language is gifts. Even if they are focused around fashion, she still goes out of her way to get something that will look good and at least be a little comfortable. By that I mean she tends to forget peoples comfort zones, but she means well.

Jasper: Honestly not to sure what to put for him. I know a predator would be more fitting, but for some reason I can see a donkey working. I know, seems like I'm clowning on the confederate. Fair, but I'm serious about the donkey thing. Honestly, it would be perfect if it wasn't a herbivore. Porcupine would also work.

Being a predator would make more sense. Given his backstory and his characterization, it wouldn't make sense for him to be a prey animal. Usually I wouldn't count this, but given his gore filled past and trouble with the diet, it seemed fitting.

I see him as a Big Cat. Honestly, vamps in general just give cat vibes. Jasper though especially have some cat like qualities, which originates from hunting and being a soldier.

I specifically see him as a Mountain Lion. Aside from him being blonde, he just has the predatory stealth to him. In midnight sun, we see him use his gift to make the nomads overlook him. He's honestly really powerful.

Mountain lions are known for being stealthy with an air of grace and power to them. They are stong animals. And I mean strong. They can jump 40-45 feet.

They're very elusive and quite. They stalk their prey and tend to attack from behind but don't think they won't hold their ground if need be.

Jasper was changed during the Civil War and forced to fight in the Newborn wars. He was a soldier as a human and as a vampire. He's able to feel and manipulate others emotions. He's covered in scars and is very intimidating.

He still struggles with the diet and honestly I hate how the others handle it. Like they have no room to talk. I don't want to defend the confederate but it just pisses me off. He has to deal with his hunger on top of everyone else's. Like damn, besties always on edge! Everyone doubts him which I don't think helps any.

Also, Mountain lions and Cheetahs can purr!

SAO Alicization Lycoris: Myosotis DLC short summary for each chapter + some impressions

Because my friends enjoyed my mini-summary in previous posts so I figure I'd make a separate post here.

Each chapter of the game has some callbacks to some mini-arcs Kirito & Eugeo went through in Alicization novels.

Chapter 1 represented by Fanatio on key visual is a callback to the Cathedral fights when Kirito & Eugeo was separated, and Kirito then met Eldrie, Fanatio & Alice along the way to regroup, and they found Eugeo who was fighting alongside Bercouli. The boss here is Ice King Hielzig who fell in love with Quinella at first sight right before she decided to spare his life and put him to sleep, even if he vaguely knew she was just waiting to take advantage of him he could not stop his feelings. I think this story set a certain tone for the whole DLC as Hielzig became the biggest adversary in the 5th chapter too, even if Quinella is a selfish villain there are still people who hold her as their ruler or beloved, so Kirito has to learn to become more sensible for these people’s feelings as well as a responsibility for taking away someone’s life.

Chapter 2 has a cave journey & a tournament, which are callbacks to Rulid Trio’s kid adventure and Zakkaria tournament. Eugeo got a chance to interact with real world girls here too which is something he can not do in canon. Asuna is always so cheery whenever Kirito & Eugeo have close bonding moments, Silica - Eugeo interactions are precious, we have some offscreen Eugeo - Lisbeth interactions in Chapter 1 where Liz told Eugeo that Kirito attracts girls wherever he goes which he witnessed it himself later lmao, and in Chapter 2 Eugeo always reminded Kirito to treat Liz's feelings delicately since Kirito's always brash with her. We have a big tournament here with some funny opponents and Kirito won it all only to wave to Eugeo first when he was asked to show affection to his important people, and the girls think the bros might become more than bros in the future.

Chapter 3 has the Dark King Eugeo segment in which a tapir beast pulled Eugeo into a dream world where Eugeo became a kind but lonely & depressed Blue Rose King for 100 years without his friends, and it’s easy to see it’s a callback to Eugeo’s emotional problems regarding his background, family & loneliness, something that was touched on by Quinella but not as deep as the DLC, we have Ronye & Tiese to be reminded of their love & dedication to their senpai, and we finally have a Kirito - Eugeo heart to heart talk that confirms that he really fears Eugeo’s death (which happened in canon timeline) so no matter what he would never give up on Eugeo. Though while I want the game to delve more on Eugeo’s background like other fans said, they have a limit as to how much they can not overstep because Reki isn’t very clear about it in the original novels either, at least it addressed that Eugeo admits he feels like shit from his family treatment and how lonely he was without his friends for years.

Chapter 4 has a lot of callbacks of Rulid Trio, it addresses Eugeo’s fixation on the Alice of his childhood and he doesn’t like Knight Alice the same, Alice is more aware of the boys’ caring for her and they completed the vow to come for Alice in the end even if she’s not the same Alice they came for. In this chapter Kirito also told Eugeo that he will bring him to real world to introduce him to his family, Klein & Agil.

5th chapter is when all the 4 beasts they defeated previously in the DLC joined into Hielzig and Kirito-Eugeo as well as others joining into to fight as the last battle. Kirito got Forget-Me-Not blade as his 2nd sword made from the ultimate form of Hielzig for duel-wielding and Eugeo said he wouldn’t lose to this sword 🤣

Tbh I heard dudebros complained that the DLC has too much YujiKiri BL hints, while YujiKiri fans complained that there aren’t enough focus on the boys lmao. Tbh as someone who didn’t have high expectation this DLC is pleasant surprise for me, they have a clear plotline and commit to it, they add YujiKiri hints but not to the point of overbearing. And probably it’s just me but you can not have a good 2-people story without people they care about around them who recognize the feelings each of them has as their own person or the feelings they share with each other. It would be so boring if the whole 10 hours DLC is just Kirito throwing mushy lines towards Eugeo haha. So in the end I’m fine with the DLC as it is.

Also I really love the potential YujiKiriAsu hints they teased, it would be most interesting development for gameverse to end on if Lycoris is really the final game in gameverse timeline.

P/S: on a side note we have Tiese - Eugeo’s interactions (or at least Tiese's feelings for Eugeo) framed as romantic even though they already kinda disprove Kirito x Ronye (Ronye was fine with Kirito seeing her as his best page in the end) and Eugeo x Knight Alice (Eugeo admitted to Kirito he can only love the Alice he was close with in childhood but he doesn’t feel the same for Knight Alice, and Alice S30 told Eugeo she’s not his Alice & it hints previously that her romantic interest lies in Kirito). I think the game dev is testing fans’ reactions regarding the shipping and if there are too much disapproval towards YujiKiri they might just ship Eugeo with Tiese and ends it there.
