Hello I'm talking about Underswap (in a positive way dw)

I just love the idea that the term 'swap' is so vague enough, that its kind of up to interpretation about what is swapped and to what degree.

Mostly, its exactly what it says; Each character is swapped with their pair (Undertale perfectly having duos is something no one talks about and i think we should because its... chefs kiss).

But... what degree does the swap happen?

I've seen AUs where its a role swap. Each of the pairs don't change personality, but its like if Sans was in the role of Papyrus instead. (Thinking about him very passively trying to catch a human is funny actually wait). And theres also the most common one, where personalities are swapped. Again, how far can the swap go? Could Swap Papyrus still have element of UT Papyrus (his enthusiasm for puzzles and his enjoyment of cooking)? Could Swap Sans still have a few lazy/unbothered elements to him?

Asgore fits so well as Toriel its funny too... He does care about Frisk, like Toriel does, he just expresses it differently because of his role as ruler and his duty of collecting souls. Toriel also fits as Asgore too, since she can be rather harsh towards us, she would fit in with being a rather stern ruler with a heart. They're truly opposites and its satisfying.

Undyne and Alphys are like this too. Alphys is very introverted, but Undyne is very extroverted. Alphys is shy and keeps to herself a lot, but Undyne would rather yell and scream about her emotions and rage.

Underswap is so fascinating in the way that everyone's version is unique in some way. People tweak and change aspects of it to fit their idea of what a swap of these characters could be.

It’s clear Fells intentionally not picking something evil to the point of scaring the kids, so he chose something insane instead that seemed reasonable
