(PrR)(RNN) â A new report by the UN Human Rights Offic (https://www.ohchr.org/sites/default/files/documents/countries/opt/20241106-Gaza-Update-Report-OPT.pdf)e found that 70% of the martyrs in Gaza are women and children, in the six months between November 2023 and April 2024.
80% of the martyrs ascended in residential buildings, killed by American weapons (https://t.me/PalestineResist/65448). 44% of them were children, and 26% are women.
The most represented age group was children between the ages of 5 and 9. The youngest verified martyr as a result of the IOF aggression was a one-day-old boy, while the oldest was a 97-year-old woman.
The report also noted deliberate communications blackouts and bombing of communication infrastructure, targeting of journalists (making Gaza "the most dangerous place on earth for journalists (https://t.me/PalestineResist/66338)"), mass displacement, attacks on educational sites, attacks (bombings and invasions) on hospitalsârendering them non-functionalâamong other crimes.
In the last 400 days of genocide, 3,759 massacres have been carried out by the IOF, resulting in 53,508 martyrs and missing, including 17,000 children (786 under one year old), 12,000 females, 1,047 medical staff, 85 civil defense, and 185 journalists, as well as 37 martyrs by starvation. 1,206 Palestinian families have been erased from the civil registry.
85,500 tons of explosives have been dropped (https://t.me/PalestineResist/65277) in the last year, equivalent to 7 nuclear bombs, or nearly 2 tons per martyr.
Martyrs continue to ascend daily, particularly in the besieged northern Gaza Strip, amidst a lack of Civil Defense, medical care, and media coverage.

400 days and 76 years
RNN:
*Numbers of martyred and wounded is what is recorded, not actual, actual is higher
This photo shows the extent of destruction by the zionist entity on the Gaza Strip in the last year, with each red dot representing a bombing.
With 85,500 tons of explosives dropped (seven nuclear bomb equivalents), this means that and equivalent of 38 kilograms of explosives have been dropped on every man, woman, and child in the Gaza Strip.
This means that 1.8 tons (1,800 kg) of explosives was used for every martyr, including the over 10,000 children killed by the occupation.
According to the Government Media Office and UN, 66% of buildings have been destroyed (over 200,000 homes), 68% of crops, 3,130 kilometers of electricity networks, 330,000 meters of water networks, 655,000 meters of sewage networks, and 2,835,000 meters of road and street networks.
This is what a genocide looks like.

Sam sighed, running a hand through her hair as she stepped back into the hall. She understood where her sister was coming from, hell, she couldnât even blame Tara. Sam would probably tell herself she was a danger and to stay away as well. She knew it wasnât completely rational, but there was an officer right outside Taraâs room, another down the hall, and another in the lobby. There was no reason to think Tara would be in danger unless she was with Sam herself or with you.
Ghostface attacked Tara to draw Sam back to town and it worked. He then attacked you when he knew youâd be away from everyone else. So far, Ghostfaceâs plan has worked perfectly. This Ghostface knew who Samâs father was, it took her reading her momâs old diary to learn that and yet, this monster somehow found out. Then there was you, you were the daughter of Gale Weathers and Dewey Riley, Ghostface learned that before even you did. Ghostface somehow learned Gale had a child, and that child grew up to be you.
Sam knew every previous Ghostface was a part of the friend group, and the killings always went back to the very beginning. This all seemed like a lot for one of Tara's friends to plan though. Whoever did this would have had to do their research; they would have had to have connections. Gale did everything in secret with you, she even left you outside the hospital to remain anonymous, Sam couldnât even begin to imagine how Ghostface learned that information, if they specifically went searching for some reason or they got lucky and dug from there.
You might not believe it, considering you were at the top of everyoneâs suspect list, but you werenât even on Samâs list, not anymore. After watching you and Tara together she saw how much you loved her sister, you would literally die before you let anything happen to her, there was no way youâd ever hurt her. What really sold her was your reaction to hearing the truth, like she told Tara, youâd have to be one hell of an actor to sell that. You looked exactly how Sam felt all those years ago, your world shattering before your eyes.
Sam felt for you, she truly did. Learning her dad wasnât her dad and her real dad was in fact a serial killer definitely sucked, it was something sheâd be dealing with in therapy probably for the rest of her life. Despite all that though for the first half of her life she had a loving family, everything was perfect. You never had any of that though, you grew up knowing your family didnât want you, you grew up alone. The only person you seemed to truly have in your life was Tara. Sam sighed; she asked you to stay away from Tara.
âYou, okay?â Richie asked. Sam didnât have time to stew in her guilt for long as she came back to reality, seeing Richie in front of her, watching her with concern all over his face.
Sam nodded, she looked around, the same officer was still outside Taraâs room, typing away on his phone. Judy was down the hall talking to another officer and pointing to your room. All of Taraâs friends had left though, just as she asked. Part of Sam wondered if she should do the same and just come back in the morning, so far, every time she visited Tara, she seemed to be making things worse.
âWant to go back to the motel?â Richie asked, giving her an awkward smile. âYou need to rest, today was a lot,â he reached up and gave her arm a comforting rub.
Sam gave him a sad smile and nodded. âYeah,â she whispered. Maybe she just needed a break, she just needed to go and sleep in an actual bed, her mind might be more at ease staying at the hospital, but she didnât think sheâd get much sleep in the waiting room chairs.
She followed Richie out of the hospital. âIâll grab the car,â he whispered before running off across the parking lot.
Sam bounced up and down on her feet outside the hospital. She tried to ignore the fact that Dewey and Gale were clearly arguing a few feet away from her.
âYou kept our daughter from me!â Dewey tried to shout but his voice ended up cracking. âOur daughter.â
âI know, I know,â Gale said. She reached out for Dewey, but he stepped away. Sam really was trying not to eavesdrop; she just couldnât help it. âIâm sorry, I know thatâs not enough. I donât know what else to say.â
âThereâs nothing to say!â Dewey gestured widely. âI knew your career was important to you but why didnât you say something? Out of all the waysâŚâ he shook his head. âWhy didnât you just leave her with me?â
Gale opened and closed her mouth a few times. âI was scared.â Dewey shook his head, clearly not wanting to hear this excuse. âWe had just broken up; I was in New York.â
âBut you came back to town, you left her here, you-you-,â he gripped at his hair. âWe could have figured something out.â
âLet me make this right,â Gale whispered, stepping closer.
Dewey looked at Gale long and hard for a moment before slowly shaking his head. âIâm not sure you can.â With that he walked off, leaving Gale to stand there crying alone.
Sam let out a relieved breath when she saw Richie pull up. She ran to the car as quickly as she could. She had enough going on at the moment, the last thing she wanted was to get caught up in your apparent family drama. She couldnât blame you or Dewey though, Sam couldnât even forgive her own mother for keeping her birth father a secret, she didnât see how you or Dewey could ever forgive Gale.
Sam rested her arm on the door and her head in her hand, she stared out the window as Richie drove them to the motel. Sam had picked out the motel, it was one of the only ones in town, and she had yet to even enter the room.
âAnd weâve arrived,â Richie said, breaking Sam out of her trance.
She got out of the car and followed Richie to the door. Richie opened the door, doing a little wave with his hand as he gestured inside the room. Sam smiled at his theatrics but as soon as she got to the doorway she stopped. âWhatâs wrong?â Richie asked.
âYou know, I think I need to clear my head,â Sam said, stepping back. âIâm going to go for a drive.â
âWant me to come?â
Sam shook her head. âI think I just need some time alone.â
âYou sure?â
âYeah,â Sam nodded. âI wonât be too long.â She leaned forward, giving Richie a quick kiss before plucking the keys from his hands.
âOkay,â Richie said before entering the room.
Sam got in the driverâs seat of the car. She stared at the motel building in front of her, her body was absolutely exhausted, the only thing calling her name was the crappy bed she knew was inside. Her mind was going a mile a minute though, she knew sheâd never be able to rest like this, she just needed to clear her head. She started the car and slowly began to back out of the parking space and turn back onto the main road.
Sam drove around aimlessly, despite growing up in the town she didnât have a destination in mind, she just kept turning at a stop sign. She furrowed her brow when she saw blue lights flashing up ahead. She looked around, her heart picking up slightly when she realized what street she was on exactly. She pulled over on the side of the road, away from the emergency vehicles. She rushed across the street, her eyes frantically searching for a familiar face, specifically one she was desperate to see safe and sound.
There were already several police cruisers and an ambulance at the house, officers had even already taped up the scene. It hadnât been too long since everyone left the hospital, when Sam left Judy was still there. Whatever happened had to have just occurred, the quick response of the authorities did nothing to ease Samâs anxieties.
Sam began to go under the police tape when an officer appeared in front of her. âSorry maâam, this is an active crime scene,â he said, holding up his hand.
âWhat happened?â Sam asked, trying to see around the officer.
Samâs eyes landed on a yellow tarp being placed over a body on the front porch. âThe sheriff.â
Samâs eyed widened, she had just been with the sheriff, Mindy said the sequel characters, as she liked to call them, didnât matter, there was no reason for anyone to think Judy would be attacked, besides, she was the sheriff, that wasnât an easy person to go after.
âWhat about her son? Sam asked, her eyes instantly scanning for him. âWes, please, Iâm a friend.â Wes only had his mom; she couldnât imagine him witnessing this or discovering her body.
When Sam looked up, meeting the cops' eyes for the first time, she saw it on his face, she knew what his next words would be. âIâm sorry,â he whispered. He turned to walk back across the lawn, back to the crime scene.
Sam ran a hand through her hair. She was just with Wes, he wasnât supposed to be a target, there was no reason for him to be a target. Mindy was naĂŻve enough to believe this Ghostface was only going after those connected to the first set of killings and Sam was stupid enough to believe it. Judy might not have liked Sam but without her around, the investigation would slow down even more, everyone would be more concerned with the sheriff's death than actually stopping Ghostface.
âI canât believe you,â Sam heard a man say. She turned to see Gale Weathers walking across the sidewalk, speedily in her heels away from a news van. Dewey was trailing after her, clearly unhappy with whatever Gale was doing or about to do.
âThis was the only way to come,â Gale snapped, spinning around to glare at Dewey.
âOh, was our secret daughter being in danger not enough for you?â Dewey whispered harshly.
âI didnât report at the hospital. I would never do that to her,â her voice cracked.
Dewey let out a humorless chuckle. âGale Weathers putting someone else before her career? Guess that makes you mother of the year.â Dewey brushed past her, not waiting for her to say anything.
While Dewey began to talk to one of the officers close by, Sam watched as Gale ran her hands down her blazer, smoothing out any wrinkles. When Gale turned around Sam couldnât even tell Deweyâs words had affected her, she kept her face completely neutral as she walked to a spot in front of the police tape. The only indication that Deweyâs words hit her was the way she gripped the microphone in her hands. When her camera man popped up, propping the camera on his shoulder as he pointed at her to begin, she fell right into reporter mode. She smiled at the camera and began to recount the recent Ghostface killings, effortlessly leading into the latest attack on Judy and Wes.
âHey!â Sam shouted when she caught sight of a familiar officer. âHey, what are you doing here?â She shouted again, finally getting officer Vincent to look at her.
âI heard the call about the sheriff,â he said, as if that explained everything.
âWhoâs guarding my sister?â
âAll hands-on deck,â he shrugged and made his way over to the sheriff's body and the other officers.
Sam let out a frustrated groan, she knew the murder of the sheriff was top priority, but she couldnât believe that cop left his position. Deputy Vincent had orders to protect Tara, he clearly wasnât doing that, Sam highly doubted he could bring something new to the table that the other officers couldnât. Samâs eyes widened when she realized the cop who had been guarding her sisterâs door was now standing across the lawn, nowhere near the hospital.
Sam didnât hesitate to take off back towards her car. âWhere are you going?â Dewey shouted after her.
âMy sister is in danger!â Sam shouted back; she didnât have time to waste. She told you to stay away from Tara, she herself left the hospital, now the one person ordered to protect Tara was also gone, there was literally no one standing between Tara and Ghostface coming after her.
Sam didnât know shit about the movies, she didnât know how any of this was actually supposed to work. What she did know though was that whoever was doing this was trying to hurt Sam for some reason and now that her sister was defenseless the easiest way to hurt Sam would be to go after Tara again. Ghostface let Tara live the first time, that was just to draw Sam back to town though, there was no way heâd let her live the second time.
âWhat are you doing?â Sam asked when she saw Dewey running after her.
âFigured you could use backup,â Dewey sighed, though he didnât seem thrilled about most likely running straight into the line of fire.
âYou donât need to stay?â Sam flicked a glance across the way where Gale stood, talking to her camera man as she gestured behind her, talking about the crime scene.
âThis isnât where Iâm needed,â is all Dewey said.
Sam didnât waste anymore time before she jumped in the car, quickly starting it, she barely checked her mirrors as she whipped back out onto the road. She ignored the way Dewey groaned, his hands flailing to grasp the handle on the door as he was flung back against the seat.
With one hand Sam whipped out her phone, quickly tapping on Richieâs contact. âHey,â Richie greeted after a few rings.
âGet to the hospital,â Sam said quickly.
âWhat? Why? Whatâs going on?â
âI think Taraâs in danger.â
There was a long pause, Sam wondered if she somehow had lost him. âYou want me to go to the hospital where a psycho killer might be?â She could hear the hesitation in his voice.
âRichie, please,â Sam begged.
âOkay, okay, Iâm going.â
âWeâll meet you there.â Sam made an abrupt right turn, letting her phone fly out of her hand and into Deweyâs lap.
Dewey let out a groan and held out the phone to Sam. âSorry,â she whispered. She quickly took the phone back, scrolling through the contacts until she found the one she wanted.
âNow, who are you calling?â Dewey asked.
âY/N,â Sam answered instantly. Dewey furrowed his brow; he opened his mouth to say something else but before he could Sam heard the little click indicating someone had picked up. âY/N,â she practically screamed into the phone.
âToo what do I owe the displeasure Samantha?â you asked, clearly still pissed at her.
Sam couldnât blame you; she couldnât even be bothered to care you called her Samantha, there were more important matters at hand. âGhostface is going after Tara.â
âWhat?â You instantly got serious. âHow do you know?â It sounded like you were shuffling around.
âJudyâs dead.â There was silence on the other end, Sam couldnât even hear you moving around anymore. âWes too.â
âFuck,â you whispered.
âHeâs going after Tara.â Sam let out a shaky breath, she knew how hypocritical she was, she told you to stay away from Tara because you were going to put her in danger and now, she was calling you, her only hope at protecting Tara. âLook Iâm-â
âHeâs not laying a fucking hand on her,â you cut her off. Sam couldnât help but glance at her phone, your voice had gotten much darker, she really wouldnât want to be Ghostface at the moment.
âThank you,â she whispered.
âWhatever,â with that you hung up.
Sam blinked away a few tears, you were there, Tara would be fine. She didnât miss the way Dewey was glancing at her. âI told her to stay away from Tara,â Sam whispered.
âAnd yet she was the one you called,â he said.
âI knew sheâd ignore me,â Sam let out a humorless chuckle.
âShe really loves her,â Dewey whispered more to himself.
Sam spared a quick glance at Dewey. He was slumped in the seat, staring out the windshield but at nothing in particular. Sam couldnât imagine what he must be going through, his wife, ex-wife, love of his life, never told him they had a daughter together. Sam might not have known Dewey all too well, but she knew he was a good man. He and you were robbed of getting to be a family. He was robbed of getting to be a father and you were robbed of getting a loving father.
Sam nodded. âSheâs very protective,â Sam said quietly. âShe wonât let anyone, no matter who they are,â She smiled to herself, remembering how you got with her when it came to Tara, you didnât care she was Taraâs older sister, your only priority was making sure Tara was okay, âhurt someone she loves.â
Sam caught the small, yet sad, smile on Deweyâs face. Sam whipped the wheel, making another sharp turn. Everything was going to be fine, you were with Tara, you would protect her, and she and Dewey were on the way, no one else was going to die today.

I love pushing the âBatfam donât know something crucial about Timâs life until something happens and the found outâ
I did it with the Al Ghuls, I did it with JJ, heck Iâve even done it with Pjo in my Ao3!
Today! Batfam doesnât know about Stray.
Tim knew Selina even before even being Robin. Something about being basically a ghost in an abandoned mansion filled with priceless relics.
Catwoman once broke into Drake manor and found a lonely kid haunting the halls with the saddest eyes sheâs ever seen in a kid. She said nuh huh and started to drop frequently to the Drake house to give the kid company.
One day Tim asked if he could do a heist with her and that was the day Stray was born.
She obviously gave him the best training she could (they were literally commenting crimes and that was a kid! She wasnât gonna let him get caught!) and when she decided he was ready they started with a small heist to a jewelry In the Diamond District.
They did this for years, but after Robinâs death and when Bruce became more reckless Tim decided to ask Selina to help him, only for her to be pushed away. So he decided to go to Dick, who denied.
At that point Tim knew what he had to do. He told Selina and she said she would miss having him by her side but she supported him in doing what he thought was good.
Batman never even suspected that his Blackhaired blue eyed kid with suspicious amount of stealth could be the blackhaired blue eyed kid that has been running in rooftops from Robin while he apprehended Catwoman since he was 9.
Years later, after a heated argument with Bruce that ended up with Tim benched indefinitely, something happened.
Stray made his comeback after 5 years in the dark.
It took the family an embarrassing amount of time to connect the dots.
It was Jason who realised first, actually. Dick had met the kid for a brief amount of time, but Jason was the one who chased the kid through rooftops during his whole tenure as Robin. It was Jason who ate chillidogs with the kid when it was obvious their mentors were gonna took too long for them to keep up the cat and mouse game.
It was Jason who saw the scar in his old friendâs neck and had to sit down for a bit, because Holy shit Holy shit Holy shit HOLY SHIT
It was his friend who he thought about some night wondering what happened to him, it was the pretender who he tried to kill multiple times, it was his BROTHER.
Stray escaped that museum with a huge prize and a shocked family.
And if he spent 2 months living with Selina, stealing every night and refusing to knowledge the batâs existence, well, it was only his business.
#catwoman#tim drake#jason todd#bruce wayne#selina kyle#batman#stray!tim#Jason missed his friend#the kid was really nice ok???#Timâs morals are a piece of paper and heâs gonna cut it and twist it as he pleases#stealing? hell yeah! everything else? no thanks!

Onyx's cringe ass horror recommendations for Halloween: so you like the idea of mascot horror, but most mascot "horror" makes you wanna kill yourself
I personally love the concept of mascot horror, at least in the idea of childish horror, combining childlike and nostalgic things with actual horror, etc. I don't love Garten of BanBan.
So here's some "mascot-esque" horror I think is a good sort of replacement, that utilizes the contrast of cute and childlike vs disturbing without just pretending to as an excuse to open a merch store.
1. Petscop (2017-2019 YouTube series) Basics: A man discovers an old Petscop disc in his mom's house and uploads a series of videos of him playing it to prove to a "friend" that it's real. Not outright scary, but cryptic and eerie. Content warnings: Child abuse and allusions to suicide
2. Shipwrecked 64 (2024 video game) Basics: A cursed "lost N64 game" created by a slighted developer with the intention of exposing the covered-up crimes of the company that commissioned it. One of the most outright scary on the list. Content warnings: Graphic violence, self-hate, self-harm (brought up by ralseibinary because I forgor)
3. Mr. Hopp's Playhouse (2019-2023 video game series) Basics: A girl's dying gift from her grandmother- a creepy toy rabbit named Mr. Hopp- turns out to be housing a demonic entity. Not very scary, but an entertaining game with an interesting story. Content warnings: Emotional abuse against children and implied violence (both in Mr. Hopp's Playhouse 2)
4. The Walten Files (2020-present YouTube series) Basics: A series chronicling the disturbing incidents and supernatural occurences around the now-defunct Bon's Burgers. My personal pick for the scariest on the list. Content warnings: Harm against/death of children, extreme/graphic violence
5. Harmony & Horror (2019-?? YouTube series) Basics: A mad toymaker traps his family inside a series of grotesque living dolls in a search for the perfect toy. A somewhat disturbing and scare-heavy series. Content warnings: Religious/satanic themes, graphic violence, domestic and child abuse
6. The Nursery (2024-present YouTube series) Basics: My own horror series. A girl returns to her hometown years after leaving to investigate the urban legend of "The Thing" and an unidentified Jane Doe. Not so much childlike, at least, not yet, but designed to be Petscop-esque, sort of nostalgic. Content warnings: Implied child abuse and abandonment, graphic violence, harm to and death of small children, religious themes, body dysmorphia
7. Welcome Home (2023 "ARG") Basics: A website detailing the restoration and preservation of the fictitious lost Sesame-Street style show Welcome Home. Not really an ARG. The opposite end of the spectrum from The Nursery, Welcome Home is less horror-based and more rooted in the nostalgic, childish aesthetic. Content warnings: None that I know of
8. Amanda the Adventurer (2023-present video game series) Basics: A Dora-the-Explorer-esque public-access TV series houses at least one demon and the trapped souls of children who have been lured in by the show. Content warnings: Religious/satanic/cult themes, implied harm to/death of small children
9. Choo-Choo Charles (2022 video game) Basics: A giant spider inhabiting a defunct train terrorizes a remote island, and an archivist and monster hunter is tasked with finding the spider's eggs. Different from most mascot horror and basically all horror on this list, but in a way that felt worth honoring with its inclusion. Content warnings: Religious/cult themes, animal death?

STRAWHATS FAMILY AU
The Lore Drop:
Alright,in this alternative universe the whole gang is a family. Robin and Franky are married and they are the parents. Brook is Frankyâs adoptive father. Jinbei is Robinâs biological father. Brook is African (Nigerian (Bantoid))American and he was never married. Franky is caucasian, his roots comes from Turkiye. Jinbei is Indian, he married Olvia, she is Brazilian. So Robin is half Indian half Brazilian.
Only Luffy and Chopper are Frobinâs biological children.
When Robin and Franky got married, they had realised that they are rich enough to set on a quest to help the children of need so they went to see the world. HEAR ME OUT it makes sense because um Jinbei is a very respected doctor and Brook is a renowned musician; Franky own a ship/boat/cruise fix company and Robin is a doctor in the archeology field đ they are rich rich
First, Luffy was born. And their first destination was Japan. That is where they adopted Zoro. He was in Juvenile. They sorted out things and adopted this child to save him. Cause he was innocent. Luffy was 6 and Zoro was 10 when this happened. (I know the punishment age range is after 14 in Japan but the crime they were accusing him of was so severe or something that they had to, like you should know Iâm just making shit up leave me alone)
After a few months they go to Finland. That is where they adopt Nami. A Swedish girl who was in the hands of a gun mafia that killed her sister and mother. She was 9. So they fight fight and get her.
The new year comes, and they decide to go to Mozambique. That is where they meet Usopp! When Franky and Zoro was walking through streets with full of shops and all, they run into Usopp (same age as Luffy) who was selling things he built. Usoppâs father Yasopp left their home when he was born, and her mother dies of sickness. The social workers does not give shĹt about the poor. Franky sees this spark in him. He and Zoro buys things from him. And at the end of the day Franky asks if he wants a family they can be one to him. Usopp refuses because of his sick friend Kaya. Saying that he cannot leave her. Later in the week, yk the drill they show everyone that Kuro is bad person blah blah, they both save Kaya and Usopp. Usopp accepts to be part of their family.
They make BIG AHH turn and go to France. They drop at some seaside town. Such a nice touristic place. But so many shop owners with rent complaints. The mayor of this town goes againts its countryâs law and increases the rents per SECOND. They dig down this mystery by accident and find out that the mayor is a evil motherfrucker scientist. He also has a son , Sanji (10 yo), whose very much so sweet. They want to fight the scientist but the country is actually supporting him. Since his products and the stuff he does supports the economy or something. So they technically kidnap Sanji. But Sanji needs it. With Frankyâs relations they get him a fake id and all that. But they promise that ona day they will have enough power to defeat him. Sanji is happy.
The next destination is Canada. That is exactly where Franky and Robin decides to make another child đ
After that they go to Egypt. They come across an organisation that Robin did her internship, the one that ran by Sir Crocodile. They find a lost child named Vivi. Vivi is an 8 year old who is getting used by Crocodile. They save her, save the country, yay! Allthough Vivi was a part of their family for a quite time after they learned that Vivi was a princess, they help her to meet her father. The Strawhats leave Egypt and promise eachother that they will meet again.
After 9 months Chopper is born. And the family is complete for now. But they are still in a quest to help children. Or to collect them lol. After a while the grandpas also join their quest. And yeah thats it. I would binge read it if someone makes a fanfic about it.

â đđŚđĽđđ đŁâđ¤ đđ đĽđ: Hi everyone, I finally caved in and wrote something on my own. This is my first fic, so let me know what you think
â đđđđ đđđ: @iyv-ray24
On Ao3
Normally, Y/N was one of the last people to board the jet after a case. Not this time though. She didn't wait for the team and drove straight from the sheriff's station to the airport once the case was wrapping up. It had been a couple of stressful days, and everyone was exhausted. However, Y/N was not only exhausted but also very, very pissed â pissed at the team, pissed at herself, but most importantly, at Hotch.
This case was not easy for any of them. Three girls between the ages of 9 and 13 were abducted, horribly abused, and killed before their bodies were dumped in different local parks in the city. The BAU was called in when the third child was missing, but unfortunately, they arrived way too late. Now, the fourth girl, Casandra Johnson, an 11-year-old, was missing.
Most of the times, Y/N wouldn't have problems with distancing herself emotionally from cases, but this one just hit too close to home. Her little baby sister was abducted from their front porch when she was 9. Y/N herself was only a teenager at that time, and she was the one babysitting her sister. Just a couple of minutes of distraction, and her baby sister was gone forever. They found her body a week later, and the man who killed her luckily got caught, but Y/N never forgave herself and lived every day with the guilt of letting her sister down.
Yep, the team knew all about this stuff. They were familiar with each other's messed-up pasts and traumas; they were like a close-knit family, after all. So, when Penelope started laying out all the details about the case, she could feel her teammates' eyes on her. Sure, it wasn't easy to stare at pictures of innocent little girls and remember what happened to her own sister, but that wasn't going to stop her from getting her job done. She was a pro at this, and as far as she was concerned, this was just another case.
She found herself in the tiny kitchenette of the jet, pouring a cup of coffee, when Hotch walked over.
"Hey, want some coffee?" she offered, but he just shook his head.
"You doing okay?" he asked, standing close because the kitchenette was so darn small.
"Why wouldn't I be?" she replied, knowing exactly why, but she wasn't about to show her feelings to him.
"You could sit this one out, you know.â
"Hotch, no way! Please don't even suggest that! These girls deserve justice, and I've got to see it through."
"I get it, but if things start getting too heavy and overwhelming, promise me you'll give me a heads-up," he said gently.
"You bet," she nodded.
They hung there for a few more seconds. Hotch's presence always had a calming effect on her, and she felt more grounded when he was around. He saw the tension on her face and he probably wanted to reach out and offer comfort, but he held back. So, he turned around and went back to his seat. She watched Hotch walk away and caught eyes with Emily, who gave her a knowing look. She was the only one on the team who knew how Y/N felt about Hotch. To this day, she regretted telling Emily, on a drunken night, that she had a crush on their boss. Emily had persistently encouraged her on more than a few occasions to confess her feelings, but she had consistently declined, fearing the potential embarrassment and awkwardness it could create between them. Emily smirked at her, but she only mouthed "Don't" before also returning to her seat.
The case was progressing as usual â examining the crime scene, talking to victims' relatives and potential eyewitnesses, and creating the unsub profile. Throughout the investigation, the team noticed Y/N becoming increasingly agitated. However, things took a sharp downward turn after Casandra was kidnapped. Y/N grew moody, neglected sleep and food, and immersed herself in reexamining the same files and evidence over and over again.
Y/N and Spencer found themselves back at the last crime scene, as Y/N insisted on revisiting it, when new information arose. Penelope added them to the group call and informed everyone that her research had led her to a man fitting the unsub's profile. She sent over his last registered address.
"We're nearby. It's not far from the last crime scene," Y/N informed the team.
"We'll meet you guys there," Derek said before they ended the call. Y/N and Spencer then drove to the address.
They parked in front of the house and awaited the team's arrival when Y/N spotted movement inside. She immediately called Hotch.
"Hotch, there's someone in the house. Maybe he's holding the girl in there. We need to go in. Now!"
"We'll be there shortly. You can't go in there without backup," Hotch cautioned.
"Spencer is here too."
"Agent Y/L/N, I said wait. That's an order!" Hotch's tone was stern.
"I'm sorry, I have to," Y/N replied, and with that, she exited the car and headed toward the front door of the house. Hotch heard Spencer shouting after Y/N before the call ended. Cursing under his breath, he instructed Derek to speed up.
In under 5 minutes, the team reached the unsub's address. The front door had been kicked open, and the team could hear Y/N yelling at someone.
"Where is he? Tell me! Where is your brother?" She was shouting, pinning a young man facedown on the carpet. Y/N's knee was pressed into his back, immobilizing him as she held his hands behind his back.
"Agent Y/L/N, that's enough!" Hotch's order rang out, and he turned to Emily, gesturing for her to take over. Emily walked over, cuffed the man's hands, and assisted him to his feet. The officers and the team exited the house. As they were leaving, Hotch turned to Y/N and said, "We will discuss this later."
Upon arriving at the station, Hotch instructed Derek and Rossi to interrogate the suspect's brother regarding the unsub's whereabouts. He told the team, except for Y/N, to leave the room the sheriff assigned to the BAU upon their arrival. Facing her, Hotch clenched his jaw, in order to stay calm.
"You are off the case," he stated in an unwavering voice.
"Hotch, no, I'mâ"
"You. Are. Off. The case. Agent Y/L/N."
"That's not fair. We have the guy's brother."
"That's not fair? That's not fair? Are you really talking back right now?" Hotch's anger escalated.
"I said I'm sorry! But what if we would have lost our chance? That guy had his things packed; he was leaving!"
"I don't care if he was leaving or not! You can't act on your own in situations like this! You put yourself and Spencer in danger."
"We're fine!"
"Yeah, luckily! But you didn't know what awaited you behind that door. Both of you could have been injured or worse. Your actions were selfish and unprofessional. I don't want you anywhere near anything related to this case until we're back in Quantico. Do you understand?"
Y/N didn't even respond; she simply stormed out of the room. She headed straight to the bathroom, seeking some privacy to calm down. Splashing her face with ice-cold water, she leaned over the sink, taking deep breaths while still seething with anger. Just then, JJ entered the restroom. Like everyone else at the station, she had heard the heated exchange between Hotch and Y/N and came to check on her.
"Hey, are you alright?"
"I'm off the case."
"Maybe it's for the best, don't you think?"
"Not you too, JJ," Y/N replied, releasing a heavy sigh as she dried her hands and face. She walked past JJ and left the restroom, unwilling to argue with her as well. Although she was banned from anything related to the case, Hotch hadn't instructed her to leave the station entirely or return to the hotel, so she remained. In the breakroom, she sat, observing and straining to catch any updates. She watched as Derek and Rossi emerged from the interrogation room, but they refused to share information due to Hotch's orders. Naturally, Spencer and Emily also followed Hotch's directives, all for Y/N's own well-being.
Suddenly, there was movement as the team geared up, putting on their vests. Clearly, they had a new lead. Y/N swiftly rose, walking toward the team to grab her own vest, but Hotch halted her immediately.
"I told you that you're not allowed anything related to the case."
"Hotch, come on! Punish me with paperwork or anything else, but not like this, please!"
"No."
"Hotch, maybe you shouldâ" Derek attempted to intervene.
"I said no!" Hotch's tone was firm as he locked eyes with Y/N. He could see the anger in her eyes and how she was holding back tears of frustration. With Hotch's final words, the team exited the station and drove away. Unable to hold back, Y/N retreated to the bathroom, shedding a few tears of anger. She knew she had made a mistake and was in the wrong, but the frustration and sense of being left behind lingered. Hotch should have been the first to understand the weight of guilt from not saving a loved one. Yet, he treated her as the issue, disregarding the missing child who might require the help of every agent for her rescue.
She let out a deep breath, a release that felt like she had been holding it in for days, as the team returned to the station with the little girl in Emily's arms. Y/N's gaze remained fixed on the heartwarming scene of the girl reuniting with her parents, embraces and kisses shared all around.
Mistiness gathered in Y/N's eyes once more, her mind drifting to how it might have felt to get her own little sister back all those years ago. Lifting her eyes from the heartwarming family reunion, her gaze locked with Hotch's, and it was as if he could read her thoughts. He took a step towards her, but she promptly spun around and walked away.
Hotch was not surprised by her reaction; he didn't even know why he had attempted to approach her. He did know, deep down, but he wasn't ready to admit it to himself, especially not at this moment. A few minutes later, he noticed Y/N storming out of the station, her bag slung over her shoulder.
"She said she'll be waiting by the jet," JJ informed Hotch as they both watched Y/N leave.
That was why she found herself being the first to arrive at the jet, a rarity. Normally, she'd take the seat in front of Hotch, and they'd dive into their paperwork during the flight back home. It was an opportunity to talk and maybe even steal glances at his handsome face. But now, she didnât even want to hear his voice.
Instead, she settled onto the broad couch, the same one where Spencer often napped, and attempted to drift into sleep. Exhaustion from the past days quickly pulled her into slumber. She faintly registered the team entering the jet and briefly woke at takeoff, but she promptly turned away and slipped back into sleep, determined to avoid everyone, especially Hotch.
The jet's interior was dimly lit, and most of the team dozed off in their seats. Hotch occupied a couple of seats away from the couch where Y/N was deeply asleep, while Rossi sat directly in front of him. He observed her for a moment, noticing her curling up into a ball â she must be cold. The realization prompted Hotch to stand up promptly. He opened one of the jet's cupboards and retrieved a blanket. Quietly, he approached Y/N and draped the blanket over her, observing as she snuggled into the soft fabric. With the exception of Rossi, everyone else was already asleep, so his actions would likely go unquestioned by the team. Besides, he was merely helping a colleague, right? He lingered by her side for longer than necessary; her relaxed face was undeniably beautiful, and he wanted â no, needed â to savour it for just a little while longer. He was painfully aware that the only expression he'd encounter in her eyes when she woke would be resentment toward him. He would give anything to reach out and caress her cheek at this very moment. Eventually, he returned to his seat, and Rossi's gaze immediately landed on him.
"You're hopeless, Aaron," Rossi chuckled.
"I don't know what you're talking about," Hotch replied, his gaze shifting to the files before him.
"You know, she kind of has the right to be angry at you."
"You can't seriously think that what she did was right."
"No, I do not. It was actually really fucking dumb, but you're sort of being a hypocrite here."
"How so?"
"Well, yes, she made a mistake barging into that house on her own, and she acted impulsively. But so did you. Every one of us has made stupid mistakes at some point, and hers at least helped us locate the unsub. If it were any other agent, you would have let them join the rescue and handed them a pile of paperwork as punishment later. But because you have an emotional attachment to her and feelings for her, you were afraid she'd act recklessly again. You couldn't risk her getting hurt, like, say, jumping in front of a bullet â which we both know she would have. So, you left her behind. Not to mention, you understood why she acted the way she did. This case was deeply personal to her. Needless to say, you both acted like idiots."
Hotch leans back in his seat and lets out a sigh. He knows Rossi's right, though sometimes he hates working with profilers.
"We all want to protect the people we love, Aaron. But remember, she's still an agent, and this is her job," Rossi adds before returning to his files.
Hotch glances over at her and ponders Rossi's words. He realizes he definitely overreacted because it was you who put yourself in danger. He knows she's a great agent and can take care of herself in these dangerous situations, but just the thought of something happening to her makes his stomach drops.
It had been a couple of days since the team had returned to Quantico, and as Hotch expected, Y/N was avoiding him at all costs. She submitted her reports well before the deadlines, left the office earlier than usual â a rarity for her, as she was typically one of the last agents to leave. Hotch even noticed her falling silent whenever he entered the break room or the bullpen, and she seemed to find excuses to distance herself from him. This avoidance was starting to irritate him more and more. He missed the late nights spent doing paperwork together in his office after everyone else had gone home. He longed to hear her laughter and engage in conversations with her. He just missed her. While she appeared to be getting along fine with the rest of the team, her anger toward Hotch still lingered. He knew he needed to talk to her and explain his actions; he hoped that she might understand once he did.
So, as soon as he arrived at the office the following day, he made it a priority. Upon entering his office, he noticed Y/N's completed report on his desk, finished once again before deadline. He was aware that she was completing her work ahead of time to avoid any interaction with Hotch about the report. Without even glancing at the report, he stepped back out of his office.
"Agent Y/L/N, a word, please," he said, his tone possibly more agitated than he had intended. The rest of the team exchanged questioning looks as Y/N ascended the few stairs to his office. She knocked on the door, even though it was already open, and announced herself before entering.
"Close the door," Hotch ordered, his voice firm as he removed his jacket.
He had initially only wanted to apologize and explain his decision on the case, but seeing that finished report again ignited a kind of anger within him. Particularly because he knew how much she despised working on it in the first place. Now, she stood in front of him, alone for the first time in days, yet she didn't even glance at his face.
"You finished your work early again, Agent Y/L/N?"
"Yes, sir." Sir... she never called him 'sir.' He really wanted to hear his name from her. He tried to catch her eyes, but she purposely looked away. There was a brief silence before she finally spoke up, "Is there something wrong with it, sir?"
His emotions were getting the better of him due to her distant tone, possibly amplified by the frustration that had built up over the past few days. So, he responded with unnecessary sharpness.
"Yeah, there's something wrong with it. Do it again," he snapped, tossing the file onto the desk closer to her. For the first time in days, she met his eyes, her brows furrowed in irritation, though her voice remained calm.
"May I ask what was wrong with it, sir?" she inquired, striving to sound neutral.
"You may not, Agent! Get back to your work," he replied, his voice unintentionally louder than he intended.
Y/N stormed out of the room, doing her best to restrain herself from slamming the door behind her. She settled back at her desk, aware of her colleagues' watchful eyes on her, though no one said a word. In his office, Hotch couldn't help but curse under his breath. "Why did I do that?" he wondered. This kind of pettiness was uncharacteristic of him, yet there was something about her that could evoke such strong emotions from him, both positive and negative.
He struggled throughout the remaining day to focus on his work, his mind repeatedly drifting to thoughts of her. Glancing at the clock, he realized that the workday was drawing to a close. He had planned to talk to her today, and he was determined to do it before she left, especially since she tended to head out before the others. Stepping out of his office and peering down into the bullpen, he noticed Spencer packing up while Y/N and Emily waited. Derek and Penelope were already on their way to the elevator, and Rossi had left hours ago due to personal matters.
"Y/L/N, to my office, please," he called out in his strong voice from the top of the stairs before returning back into his office. Spencer and Emily exchanged glances, and while Y/N was clearly displeased, it was inevitable that she had to have a conversation with Hotch.
"You guys go ahead. Don't wait for me. I'll see you tomorrow," she said, placing her bag back on her desk before making her way up to Hotch's office.
"Sit down," Hotch says as she enters his office, gesturing to the free chair in front of his desk.
"For how much longer do you plan to keep this up?" Hotch asks in a plain tone.
"I don't know what you're talking about, sir."
Hotch rubs his face and lets out a sigh before continuing. "Cut it out! This whole 'sir' thing. You haven't spoken to me in days. It's affecting the work environment."
"I don't think it's affecting anything. I've been working efficiently, and my reports are always on time."
"I don't give a damn about your reports, Y/N!" Hotch exclaims, standing up and slamming his hands on the table as he leans toward her.
She stands abruptly. "Then there's no reason for me to be here if this isn't work-related," she nearly yells, matching Hotch's intensity. She starts to turn around, indicating her intention to leave.
"You're not leaving before we talk about what happened and clear this up!", he said and walked around his desk to now stand infront of her.
"There's nothing to clear up!"
"How is there nothing to clear up? You've been avoiding me since we got back from the case. You won't talk to me, you won't look at meâhell, you leave the room when I walk in."
Hotch's frustration was palpable as he stepped closer to her. "You think you can just avoid me and everything will be fine? You think you can act like nothing happened?"
Y/N's voice trembled with anger. "I'm doing my job, just like I always have."
"Your job? This is more than just about your damn job. We're a team, and that means communication and trust."
Y/N shot back, her voice rising. "Trust? Is that what you call it? You completely shut me out during the case. You made me feel like I can't make decisions, like I'm incapable."
Hotch's eyes blazed with frustration. "I made a decision to protect you, to keep you safe!"
"By treating me like a child? By belittling me in front of the team?" Y/N's cheeks were flushed, her anger evident.
"You were reckless, Y/N! You put yourself and Spencer in danger!"
"I had a lead, I had a chance to save that girl!"
"By charging into a potentially dangerous situation without backup? You're lucky nothing worse happened."
Y/N's fists clenched at her sides. "You don't understand. You never understand."
"Oh, I understand more than you realize," Hotch retorted, his voice dripping with frustration.
The room seemed to crackle with tension as their argument escalated. Each word was a jab, a release of the pent-up emotions they had been harboring. The distance between them had grown from physical to emotional, and they were both struggling to bridge the gap.
Suddenly, a knock echoed through the room, and JJ's head appeared in the doorway. "Oh, sorry for disturbing. I just wanted to say goodbye before I leave. Don't let me interrupt," she said, sensing the tension in the room, and then closed the door behind her. Throughout JJ's brief interaction, Y/N and Hotch's eyes remained locked on each other.
JJ's interruption seemed to inject a moment of calm into the charged atmosphere, allowing a slight easing of the tension in the room.
Hotch's voice broke the silence once again, this time with a calmer and more composed tone. "Believe me, I understand why this case held such significance for you. The entire team recognised that. However, that doesn't justify putting yourself in harm's way."
Y/N's voice softened, her frustration mingling with a touch of vulnerability. "I know it was reckless to charge in without waiting, and I've already apologized for thatâI'm still sorry. But what you did was unfair. You left me behind. Aren't we supposed to be a team? How could you make that decision, Hotch?" Her eyes misted over, a mixture of hurt and confusion in her gaze.
Hotch's gaze softened as he heard the hurt in her voice. He took a step closer, closing the physical distance between them, and rested his hands on his hips. "Y/N, it's not about whether you apologized or not. It's about the fact that you charged into a dangerous situation without considering the consequences. In this line of work, we can't afford to act on emotions alone. We have to think logically, strategically. Acting solely on emotion can get people killed."
Y/N's eyes welled up with tears as his words sank in. She looked down at her hands, her voice choked with emotion. "I know that, Hotch. I do. But in that moment, all I could think about was finding that girl, saving her. It was like... I couldn't control myself."
Hotch took another step forward, his presence a comforting presence in front of her. He reached out and gently lifted her chin, guiding her gaze to meet his. His touch was tender, his thumb caressing her cheek. "Y/N, I get it. I do. But I was scared. Scared of losing you, of seeing you hurt. I couldn't bear the thought of something happening to you."
She looked up at him, tears streaming down her cheeks. His touch was a lifeline, grounding her in this vulnerable moment. "I... I couldn't save my sister," she whispered, her voice trembling. "I was supposed to be watching her, and I let her down."
Hotch's grip on her chin tightened ever so slightly, his eyes locking onto hers. He leaned in closer, his voice tender. "Y/N, what happened to your sister wasn't your fault. You were just a child yourself. You couldn't have known."
A sob escaped Y/N's lips as she leaned into his touch, her tears falling freely now. Hotch gently wiped away her tears with his thumb, his touch soothing. "It's okay to feel the pain, Y/N. But you can't let it dictate your actions now. You have so much strength, so much potential. I just want to keep you safe."
She let out a shaky breath, her emotions raw and exposed. Hotch's presence and his words were a balm to her wounded heart. "I'm sorry," she whispered, her voice filled with remorse.
Hotch shook his head softly, his eyes never leaving hers. "There's no need to apologize. I should have handled things differently too. We both made mistakes."
They stood there for a moment, their gazes locked, and the air around them seemed to shift. Hotch took a step forward, his hand moving from her chin to her cheek, his touch gentle and caring.
"Y/N, we're a team. And I promise you, I'll always have your back. But I need you to promise me that you'll think before you act, that you'll prioritize your safety."
She nodded, her tears slowing as a small smile tugged at her lips. "I promise."
And in that moment, with their bodies close and their gazes intertwined, they found a connection that went beyond wordsâa connection forged in vulnerability, understanding, and the unspoken bond of a team that had weathered the storm together.
Y/N closes the distance between them and wraps her arms around Hotch in a tight embrace. Her face is buried in his chest, and he holds her close, his hand caressing her hair with utmost tenderness. In this vulnerable embrace, their walls begin to crumble, and the weight of unspoken emotions hangs heavily in the air.
Hotch's voice is barely above a whisper as he presses his lips to her ear, letting all the truths he had been holding back spill forth. "I was so scared, Y/N... scared to lose you. I can't bear the thought of ever losing you. Please, don't ever put yourself in that kind of danger again."
His words are a mixture of desperation and genuine concern, a heartfelt confession that had been weighing on him for far too long. He holds her tighter, his grip on her waist firm yet gentle. "I don't know what I would do without you. You've become such an important part of my life."
His voice quivers with emotion, each word carrying the weight of his feelings. "I missed talking to you, missed hearing your laugh. Even the complaints about paperwork, I missed those too. You mean so much to me, Y/N, more than you might realize."
Y/N's grip on him tightens, her tears soaking into his shirt as she listens to his heartfelt words. It's a moment of vulnerability, of raw honesty that they had both been avoiding. Hotch's whispers in her ear are like a soothing melody, erasing the tension that had been building between them.
Their embrace lingers, a silent acknowledgment of the unspoken bond that ties them together. Hotch continues to caress her hair, his touch a silent reassurance of his feelings. In this moment, surrounded by their shared emotions and the warmth of their connection, they find solace in each other's arms.
Y/N pulls away slightly, creating enough space to look up at him, her eyes glistening with sincerity. She takes a deep breath before speaking, her voice a mix of vulnerability and determination. "Hotch, Aaron... I became so upset about this situation because it was you who was disappointed in me. You mean the world to me. Your opinion, your feelings, they matter more than I can even express. Not just as my boss, but as a friend and... and maybe, just maybe, even more."
Her cheeks flush with a soft hue of pink as she admits her feelings, her gaze dropping to the floor as if overwhelmed by the weight of her confession. She's both relieved and terrified to have finally voiced her emotions, unsure of how he'll react despite his previous words of comfort.
Hotch's breath catches in his throat as he absorbs her words. His heart races, and a mixture of surprise, hope, and affection blooms in his chest. He reaches out to gently lift her chin, his thumb brushing against her skin as he tilts her face up to meet his gaze. His expression is a mixture of tenderness and warmth, his eyes reflecting the depth of his feelings.
"Y/N..." Hotch's voice is soft, carrying a mix of emotions that mirror her own. He searches her eyes, his thumb tracing over her cheekbone, his touch both soothing and electrifying. "I've been struggling with my own feelings, with the fear of crossing a line. But I want you to know... you're important to me too. More than I can put into words."
A gentle smile tugs at the corners of his lips, his gaze locked onto hers. "I never wanted to push you away or make you feel like your actions don't matter. They do, because you matter. And I'm sorry if I made you think otherwise."
Y/N's heart swells with his words, and the warmth of his touch resonates deep within her. Her eyes well up with tears, but this time they're tears of relief and joy. Her lips tremble into a soft smile as she meets his gaze with renewed hope.
"I'm glad we talked," she whispers, her voice filled with sincerity. "I don't want to avoid you, Aaron. I want us to be honest with each other, no matter what happens."
Hotch's thumb continues to caress her cheek, his touch grounding her in this moment of emotional intimacy. "I feel the same way," he admits, his voice a mere breath against her lips. "And I promise, from now on, we'll face things together."
Their proximity becomes charged with a newfound understanding, their unspoken connection now verbalized. And as they stand there, gazing into each other's eyes, they both know that this conversation is just the beginning of a deeper and more meaningful journey ahead.
As the weight of their emotions lingers in the air, Y/N takes a small step closer, her heart pounding with a mixture of anticipation and vulnerability. Hotch's gaze softens even further, and in that moment, they both feel the pull of an unspoken desire.
Without any more hesitation, Y/N tilts her head slightly, her lips brushing against his in a tentative yet gentle kiss. It's a kiss filled with the tenderness of their shared feelings, a silent promise of everything they've both been longing for.
Hotch's arms instinctively wrap around her, pulling her closer as he deepens the kiss with a mixture of longing and affection. His lips move against hers with a slow and deliberate rhythm, their connection intensifying as their bodies press against each other.
The air between them grows warmer, their shared emotions igniting a spark of passion. Y/N's fingers thread through his hair, holding him close as the kiss becomes more heated, a reflection of the desires they've kept hidden for so long.
Their breath mingles, the world around them fading as they lose themselves in the intoxicating sensation of their lips moving together. The kiss becomes a dance of emotions, each movement a declaration of their feelings.
Finally, they break apart, their lips still lingering just millimeters away. Their breaths come in ragged gasps, their eyes locked in a heated gaze filled with a mixture of surprise and bliss.
A soft, love-drunk smile tugs at Y/N's lips, and she brushes her thumb against his cheek, feeling the warmth of his skin beneath her touch. Hotch's fingers continue to caress her back, his touch a silent affirmation of his feelings.
"Wow," Y/N breathes, her voice barely above a whisper, her heart still racing from the intensity of their kiss.
Hotch chuckles softly, his forehead resting against hers. "Yeah, wow," he replies, his voice filled with a mixture of wonder and contentment.
Their smiles mirror each other's, and in that moment, they both realize that this is just the beginning of their journey together. The walls that once kept their feelings hidden have crumbled, replaced by a newfound connection that's deeper and more meaningful.
As they stand there, breathless and gazing into each other's eyes, they know that they're embarking on a path of honesty, vulnerability, and love. And with their lips still tingling from their kiss, they share a quiet understanding that whatever challenges lie ahead, they'll face them together.

Daily update post:
I wrote yesterday about a Hezbollah drone which crashed in Israel without setting off the sirens, and missed by a small margin a kindergarten. Now we know about a second Hezbollah drone, which was found in someone's backyard in northern Israel, and which also didn't trigger any alarm systems. The fact that no warning systems were set off twice that we know of, is a real cause for concern, and is being looked into. As this second drone didn't explode after crashing, Israel will be able to study it, which is the main silver lining.
I have written repeatedly about UNRWA's complicity in Palestinian terrorism in general, and Hamas' in particular. We're getting even more data on this. Previous numbers talked about how many UNRWA members had ties to any Palestinian terrorist organization, now the figures on ties to Hamas specifically are being shared: at least 440 UNRWA workers in Gaza were active Hamas terrorists, at least 2,000 are registered Hamas operatives, and at least 7,000 have a first degree relative who's a Hamas member, making a total of at least 9,440 UNRWA employees in Gaza closely tied to Hamas out of a total of 12,000 Gaza UNRWA workers. And since we're talking about this UN agency again, remember when I recently wrote about the social worker employed by UNRWA, who was captured in CCTV footage kidnapping the body of a murdered Israeli man to Gaza, with the help of a fellow Hamas terrorist? Well, we now know who the man, whose lifeless body Faisal Ali Mussalem Naami was kidnapping, is. It's 21 years old Yonatan Samerano.
He was attending the Nova music festival on Oct 7. It seems he and two friends tried to escape the slaughter there by fleeing to the nearby kibbutz Re'im, where all three were murdered by Hamas terrorists at the community gate. Then Naami showed up DRIVING A UN VEHICLE (that's right, with UN LICENSE PLATES, as confirmed by Ayelet Samerano) and used this car to kidnap Yonatan's body. In the interview I heard with Ayelet Samerano, Yonatan's mom, she said she's going to be demanding answers from the UN secretary general, and that the family is considering filing a lawsuit. Meanwhile, because Jewish lives really are nothing, I'll remind you that UNRWA has been nominated by a Norwegian member of parliament for a Nobel Peace Prize. If you think this is the bad judgment of one politician, Norway is also one of the few western countries NOT temporarily suspending funding of UNRWA until further investigation, and have even said they might increase it. There's only one bit of good news, and that's the fact the US is saying its suspension of UNRWA fudning is going to be permanent.
The reality of Hamas' brutal sex crimes isn't news at this point to anyone with a bit of decency regarding Israeli civilians' fate on Oct 7, but a new report delving into more details than ever on those sex crimes has now been sent to the UN. I expect it to have zero impact given the UN's track record, but it's still important that this report was compiled and submitted by ARCCI, the Israeli association of organizations aiding rape and sexual assault victims.
There's a whole saga with Brazil's president, Lula. Sit tight. It started with Lula saying that what Israel is doing right now in Gaza has never happened before in history, and if it did, it was only when Hitler decided to genocide the Jews (this is absolutely untrue on any measurable level. The war in Gaza is not the bloodiest one ever, doesn't have the highest rate of killed civilians when the global one is a 9:1 ratio of killed civilians compared to killed militants while in the Gaza war there's a 4.5 times lower rate at 2:1, and certainly doesn't include an intentional attempt to kill all Palestinians on an intense industrial level with tens of thousands often being killed daily as the Nazis did to the Jews and which made the Holocaust stand out even in comparison to other cases of genocide). So to make it clear, what Lula did was antisemitic, both in falsely demonizing the Jewish state, and in minimizing the Holocaust by presenting it as comparable to a drastically less extreme event (in fact, the internationally accepted IHRA definition of antisemitism has included false comparisons of Israel to the Nazis for years now). In response, Israel has declared Lula a persona non-grata (unwanted personality) here until he retracts these antisemitic comments. This didn't make Lula reconsider his antisemitic comments, instead he recalled the Brazilian ambassador to Israel. This is maybe connected to Lula's warm ties with the Islamist regime in Iran (including allowing Iranian ships to dock in Brazil), which officially denies the Holocaust.
Here is a vid 21 years old Maya Regev, who was injured, and then kidnapped together with her younger brother Itay by Hamas on Oct 7, from the Nova music festival. Despite her complicated leg injury, she didn't get any medical help during here time in captivity, which compounded her state. She was released in the hostage deal more than 2 months ago, and had undergone several surgeries due to the state of her leg. In this footage, shared yesterday, Maya is seen walking on crutches for the first time since her abduction, more than 4 months ago.

Hubristic Asshole Fight: Round 1 Part 1b
Anakin Skywalker (Star Wars) vs Feanor (The Silmarillion)
Propaganda below cut
Anakin
Decided that he would become stronger than death to stop those he cares about from dying after failing to accept his mother's death. When he begins getting visions/nightmares like he had before losing his mother of his wife dying in childbirth, he decides to team up with an evil sorcerer and mastermind to learn the secret to stopping death. The price he willingly paid was leading the slaughter of the community of peacekeeping monks who had raised him from nine years old, feeling guilt about his heinous betrayal even as he unflichingly continued the massacre (sunk cost fallacy to a very extreme degree). The unintended price he paid was the loss of his limbs and independence after his injuries during a fight with his mentor and brother figure, his wife dying on childbirth due to the great stress of his heinous actions, and being separated from his children until they were adults firmly opposed to the imperial regime he became the attack dog for (only knowing of their survival until after he had personally attacked them both); He literally did not have to do any of that. his wife Padmè very very very very much did not want him to do any of that. He was completely absorbed in his own inability to deal with loss that he deadlock refused to consider losing family again and then he went and killed what amounted to his extended family, his wife and the man who raised and guided him from age 9. And his own kids unknowingly. In terms of accomplishing your goals there really really wasn't much more he could have fucked up. And when it comes down to key moments, all he had to do was not cut off mentor and co-worker Mace Windu's hand with a laser sword and everything would have been fine. He's a nominee for Fail King of All Time to me
He thinks he's hot shit which, he is, but like cool it dude you don't have to mass murder maim mutilate your way through life to prove you're the extra most specialest bestest psychic space wizard;
Hubrised so hard he 1) lost his limbs and his skin 2) became what he hated 3) caused the very death he sought to prevent, betraying and destroying himself for nothing; So soaking wet and self aware that he cried committing atrocities. If he knew what hubris was, he'd agree he has a lot of it
Feanor
The definition of hubris. Created the silmarils who were so perfect even the gods praised them. Got them stolen by the gods evil brother (so essentially fantasy satan). Then decided to go fight the evil god to get the silmarils back and swore an oath binding him and his sons to get them back no matter who would stand in their way. This drastically backfired when some other elves stood in his way so he murdered them. Got cursed by the gods for this (together with his entire family and everyone who followed them). Told the gods that they were of the same kind as fantasy satan and that they would end up following him
Morgoth (a god) shows up at his house and Feanor (professional hater of gods) tells him to get fucked* and slams the door in his face. *âGet thee gone from my gate thou jail-crow of Mandos!â; He has never spent anything wrong ever aside from all the war crimes.
The Valar (gods) asked Feanor for help in saving the world from being in total darkness and he said âno, figure it out yourselvesâ. Repeatedly and intentionally goes against their orders leading to war and chaos; I know itâs left open ended to what really happened to him after he died, but I hope he never repents. I hope he stays an antagonistic and egotistical bastard after being reimbodied (brought back to life) and continues to make it everyone elseâs problem. I love him.
Iâm gonna have to try to do this without a sing Tolkien scholarship words so bear with me. Basically my dude is one of the smartest and most talented elves in the world. Unfortunately he has a lot of daddy issues AND mommy issues largely due to the fact that his mom died when he was a kid and decided not to come back (as elves can do). No one else has this problem. He invented a ton of important stuff and had seven sons. His most prized creation was three gems called the Silmarils, which contained the light of the Two Trees, which gave light to the world before they were destroyed. When the Valar (the gods of Tolkienâs world) asked if they could use the Silmarils to potentially create another light source, he emphatically refused and in fact became so jealous of them that he and his sons swore an oath that anyone who so much as touched them would die by their swords. Sauronâs boss steals the gems and Feanor decides that he will lead his people on a crusade to retrieve and avenge them. This results in the death of him, most of his people, and almost his entire family minus one of his sons, Galadriel, and Elrond; He once yelled at the devil to get off his lawn
went to war with morgoth (satan basically) against the will of the gods and made a whole speech to said gods about how they were gonna feel really silly when he killed morgoth and saved the whole world. he never actually did battle with morgoth because he died on like day 1 of getting to middle earth (he left like 2/3 of his forces behind because he didnât trust them) and spontaneously combusted upon his death; heâs a huge asshole and a mad scientist and linguist and prince with daddy issues and also mommy issues
Dude thought he could win a fight with the devil, tried to just walk into Angband (Mordor before Mordor actually existed), made an oath to kill everyone that tries to take his creations even the Valar (angelic like beings) and ends up causing his death, his sons deaths and a bunch of other deaths; His name is quite literally spirit of fire Is basically regarded as THE greastest elf Is in fact THE best smith of the elves and crafts their most precious jewels (that end up causing so much death) Is THE linguist to the point of creating the alfabet every one uses even after The Crimes, creates a bunch of things that are used even after The Crimes actually Loves his dad more than the things he made Is the only recorded elf with seven kids Is married to a sculpter that is so good that people confuse her statues as actual people (a propaganda because he had to be good to actually bag her you know) Manages to create jewelry so good even the the angelics beings sent by god are surprised he managed to do it So good at making speeches that it leads to a rebellion against said angelic beings and a lot of people to leave paradise with him His mother died because his spirit was too powerful Invented kinslaying after trying to steal some boats for said rebellion Swears an oath that destroys his whole family (but adds a great flavour to the rest of the story) Tells the devil to fuck off and slams his house door on said devils face Dies via auto combustion because his spirit was just too powerful for a normal death Gets stuck in the afterlife (that elves can usually just return from) for spiting the Valar Is said he will have an important role in Tolkienâs version of Ragnarok by letting the jewels he previously promised to kill for be destroyed to defeat the devil
Because of his pride, he went against the gods because the evil god Morgoth stole his life's work (the Silmarils, 3 shiny gems that radiated the light of the two trees that a huge evil spider had sapped dry). Swore (with his 7 sons) an oath to hunt Morgoth and retrieve his shiny gems. Commited kinslaying, burned some boats, combusted to ashes after suffering mortal wounds at the hands of corrupted demi-gods. Consequences of his actions could be seen long long after his death: the oath was passed on to his sons to hopelessly fulfill (failure after failure, including two more kinslayings, one of them casting himself into a fiery volcano, another wandering the shores for eternity);

Astrology Observation pt. 2
(Thank yâall for all the support on my first oneâ¤ď¸đđž)
*as a sag Venus sag mars pls stop asking me why Iâm laughingâŚIâm not laughing at YOU Iâm just insaneđ
*moon in the 1st synastry is so therapeutic you just feel really comfortable opening up to the 1st house person and as the 1st house person I feel honored someone trusts me enough to share their feelingsđŤśđž
*people w aqua and libra in their big three are the chillest mfs youâll ever meet. Even though Iâm very chaotic anytime someone describes me âchillâ just seems to be thrown in there. We space out ALOT and itâs honestly embarrassingđ Ex: Alicia keys, lil Wayne, Harry styles, Rosalia. Harry gives such himbo energy in interviews and they drag him for it in the comments but heâs probably just thinking about multiple things at once. Alicia keys didnât even realize lil mama was on that stage and went on performing lol. Obviously lil Wayne smokes but something about his energyâŚheâs on cloud 9. And just go watch Rosaliaâs chicken shop episodeđđ.
*honestly Aries mars arenât that bad when it comes to temper because usually they find ways to manage it. Now mars-Uranus aspects is a completely different story. I have late mars-Uranus and it takes me a while to get mad but when I do I canât even think anymore. My old roomie had a tight square and she would blow up on people for no actual reason like girl sit downđ
*something about Scorpio mars men is justđŽâđ¨ they have such a sneaky energy to them that makes them stand out. Virgo mars are fine too theyâre just so skinny and no matter wtf they do theyâre always nerdy ugh (ex: Matthew gray gubler, Lucky daye, Dylan OâBrien, Jeff Buckley)
*i noticed Aries moon donât really get along w each other. They find their own energy to be too mf much (which it can be) so they prefer being around more calmer people *coughs* libra moons like me. They wanna be bouncing off the walls 𤪠while their friend is just like đ.
* fire risings do a lot of things fast. As an Aries rising, I walk fast, get happy fast, eat fast, workout fast. My cousin is complaining her sag rising toddler eats and drinks way too fast.
*venus in 11thâŚhow many tiktok drafts do yâall gotđ
*i talked to this guy who had similar placements as me (Venus in 8th and moon in 6th plus Aquarius and Aries placements) It was so chaotic it was literally us going back and forth obsessing over eachother while trying to keep it lowkey. But also the amount of anxiety we are naturally incline to have made the whole situation too mf much.
*i have mercury conjunct my friends mars and for years she tells me the things I say can take people there and make them wanna fight me. Itâs in Capricorn and so I was confused before I knew we had that aspect
* i noticed rappers whose lines always stick out to me have Gemini mars or mercury- mars (central cee, king von, tupac, kendrick , j. cole)
*i was talking to this guy and I had Venus and mars plus pluto in his 4th house. Months after we stopped talking our friend groups meshed and he would tell me non-stop I reminded him of his mother. He said she was the same height as me and yâall I was scared to ask what she looked like cause đŤ yâall remember that episode of family guy when Chris dated that girl that looked like Lois yep 4th house synastry.
*im a true crime whore and two women who killed their bfs had sun-Uranus aspects. Their energy was erratic and very off putting in videos. I canât remember the other one but Courtney tailor/clenney was one.
* More spilling my business on the Internetđ i think Iâm done entertaining people my age. Pluto in the 8th, Lilith in 1st, and Venus conjunct Pluto synastry has been hell. Whereâs my sugar daddy/mama?? Itâs ghetto out here
*gemini Lilith generation whose a year younger than me is nasty asfđ esp the tauruses they have their Lilith conjunct their Gemini Venus and opposite their Pluto. One said he had a slept w two girls at separate times. He didnât know they met until the girls posted a selfie together and tagged him. They later told him they wanted a threesome and he did itđ knowing astrology I believed every word
* sidebar Neptune-asc people and trying to give off innocent vibes ugh annoying asf to me. I can see right through their bs but theyâre able to fool most people.
* mercury-Pluto aspects are in fact LIARS and throw a Scorpio placement in theređŽâđ¨

Notes:
TW!: Family Death, Murder, Forced Marriage, Child Marriage, Bullying, Isolation, Struggles with Mental Health
Crown of Ashes and Flames is another really strong IF WIP on itch.io with a very active author and so far itâs been receiving regular updates so Iâm quite excited to see how the story develops as the game updates further. As it stands, I still want to share my thoughts on what is available to play so far.
So, Crown of ashes follows the MC who is the last surviving royal of Vesphire after King Luceris of a neighbouring kingdom, Rosea, declares war on Vesphire, murders MCs entire family, takes them back with him to Rosea and forces MC to marry him and become the new Royal Consort (at age 9?!?!) all for the sake of avenging the death of his wife, who he believes was killed by MCs older sister. As you can probably tell by that quick summary, this is an IF that is absolutely LOADED with Angst and drama, so, naturally, I was drawn right in!
I have to start off by saying how good of a job the author did in managing to create a cast of characters that are all so uniquely compelling in their own right. It can be the case that sometimes IF authors will focus too intently on just one or two main ROs while the others can feel like a bit of an afterthought, but in CoAaF, I feel as though all the characters are given equal opportunity to shine. That isnât to say that there arenât stand out characters, because there absolutely are and the first that comes to mind has to be Luceris. For me he stands out because not only is he an incredibly well-written, complex villain I find it rare that I have as much of visceral hatred of a fiction character as I do for him. I mean, what he does to MC in the name of âvengeanceâ and the way he justifies himself just solidifies him as one of the most delusional and twisted villains Iâve read in an IF.
Also, the setting and minor characters in the story really serve to highlight how the MC is ostracised in their new âhomeâ as punishment for their sisters crimes. And it really is sickening how both adult and young characters justify the way they effectively bully MC because of something MC doesnât have any control over and really serves to highlight the theme of injustice vs. justice that has been present throughout the game so far.
Furthermore, I enjoyed the amount of choice given to the player over the way MC reacts to what theyâve been through as well as to how the people around them treat them (both good and bad) and provides the player with the opportunity to explore how the traumatic events of the game impacts the MCs attitude and mental state.
Itâs also quite interesting to see how the MC develops as they grow as the story starts with the MC as a nine year old and eventually grows up. This however, can be quite tricky from a writting perspective as typically authors can have difficulty with writing young child characters. Unfortunately, this is something that I have noticed was the case with this author as I felt that a lot of the dialogue exchanges between the younger characters (particularly the MC) just didnât really feel accurate coming from a nine year olds mouth. Aside from that however, I feel as though the rest of the dialogue fits very well and overall I would say the writing is of a good quality.
All in all, I would definitely recommend this game to anyone interested in picking up a new, angsty WIP and I will certainly be patiently awaiting updates!

God I love putting Dick in awful, awful situations, and my AK Dick au is perfect for that <33
Thinking about him being so dehumanized, being likened to a dog or maybe even something lesser than man's best friend. Thinking about a muzzle being slapped on his face when he won't stop biting, a collar because he won't stop pulling away. His ankle being broken to keep him from running and on his knees, chains and cuffs being added anyways because he just won't stop fighting, even then.
Dick being slowly broken over the course of months, and being turned into Jokers attack dog. Being so terrified of punishment that he's willing to do anything to avoid it. Being so, so different from how he started, because at the beginning he would've rather died than hurt, or God forbid kill, someone else. But he quickly learned that there's much, much worse things than being killed; sure, he knew it already, but now he knows that so much more intimately. And Joker won't kill him for disobeying, he won't just give Dick what he wants.
So, to avoid punishment, he does exactly what Joker asks of him, even if it means killing or hurting other inmates or guards. He'll even do more if a reward is guaranteed. And it absolutely disgusts Dick what he's willing to do now, how he feels more about getting a reward than he does killing another nutcase inmate or corrupt guard.
Ugh, his kindness and love of others being used against him. Punishing him via hellish, days long torture is one thing- doing that to someone else in front of him, just because he disobeyed? Now that would get Dick to do absolutely anything, if it means others are safe.
Dicks morality being ground out of him... all the things that make him Dick Grayson being torn out and ripped to shreds. After everything, what else is he but an abused, feral dog? Dick GraysonâNightwingâwas no longer. Dick Grayson wouldn't have killed, would feel something even if he did. He wouldn't have groveled at the Jokers feet, wouldn't have bent or broken.
The Joker took everything that made him human, a Grayson, and twisted it if he hadn't outright destroyed it. Now he can't do that quadruple flip, he can't show off as much as he used to. He's still flexible and acrobatic, thanks to the miracle of intensive physical therapy and Deathstrokes training, but he's no longer the world's greatest acrobat. Is he even a Grayson, if he can't even do what his parents did?
And Dick is sure Batman would hate him now. Unfeeling as he shot someone between the eyes (even though the sight haunts him at night), raging at the disgusting city he grew up in and the injustice that was Batman introducing him to crime fighting at only 9 years old.
And the Titans... they wouldn't even recognize him. It's easier not to think about them.
Just... Dick being completely broken by his experiences in Arkham with the Joker. He didn't lose his empathy or kindness (not that he knows this; he has a very low opinion of himself), thank God, but his trust in people? Completely gone. He wants that connection back like nothing else- but he can't face his family and friends again. Not after what he's done, not after he was twisted into this... thing.
Just,, him

In my last post, I mentioned a series called "Spark in the Dark" by paganpunk2 on FanFiction.net. The first fic in the series is a retelling of Dick Grayson's Robin origin story, and the first installment has 300k words and a hundred chapters. There are seventeen fics in this series, so I'm just going to put the links to all of them in order so I can reread them all in proper order later (the layout of FanFiction.net does not let you save a series as far as I know and it sucks) and in case anyone else wants to read them:
Firework - The story of how Dick Grayson was adopted by Bruce Wayne and starts his crime fighting career as Robin to avenge his parents' murder
Summer Shorts - Short stories about Dick's first summer under Bruce's care
Batfairy - Dick loses a tooth but doesn't believe in the tooth fairy (He is 8 or 9 in this fic)
The Princely Pardon - The Wayne family household has had this tradition of eating a freshly turkey every Thanksgiving, meaning the bird is still alive when it comes to Wayne Manor to be killed for dinner. Dick does not like that idea, so he does what he can to save the turkey
Of Friends and Foes - Dick is having a hard time at school making friends when he meets another young hero, Kid Flash
A Frivolous Holiday - It is Valentine's Day at Dick's school, so Alfred reluctantly helps him make some cards for his classmates.
A Weekend in Bruges - Bruce Wayne is required to go to Bruges, Belgium for a business trip while Dick is sick and Alfred is out of town. Bruce does not cope well with missing his son.
Turkey Song - Dick's pet is nearing the end of its life and he learns about one of the first cases the Justice League ever worked on, and the reason for his pet's sudden demise
Camp Batman - Batman, Robin, Flash, and Kid Flash go camping to help teach them some survival skills.
A Haunting in Central City - Robin and Kid Flash go trick or treating an encounter their first haunted house
Sick Day - Dick comes home from school sick, and Bruce spoils him
Hope - Clark Kent spends the new years with Bruce and Dick, written from Clark's perspective as if it were a journal entry
Instant Gratification - Bruce has Dick complete an exam every two weeks to enrich his education and help him as Robin. Dick becomes inpatient when Bruce is grading his exam.
Phenom - A group of aerialists come to Gotham and Dick watches the show with his best friend Wally West, also known as Kid Flash. Watching aerialists perform makes Dick sad about his past and his old family.
The Boy in the Box - Clark Kent gave Bruce a flash drive containing what he called "Dick's childhood," which was performances of The Flying Graysons
The Ache of Cowardice - This is the only entry in the Spark in the Dark universe that's rated M for mature, and for good reason. HEAVY TRIGGER WARNING AHEAD: It has graphic depictions of sexual abuse against children and child trafficking. The story is that Dick gets injured as Robin and is forced to go to the hospital (as a civilian), Bruce Wayne almost loses custody because of an evil person who has his own malicious motives. While this is happening, Batman uncovers an absolutely disgusting ploy in Gotham
To Catch A Predator - Bruce, Dick, and Alfred go on a family vacation to a small town known for it's fishing scene and find evidence of crimes being committed that only Batman and Robin can solve, only Batman and Robin left their uniforms at home. Despite the title, this fic is not rated M and does not have any depictions of the crimes committed in the show with the same name
The final fic was last updated 12 years ago in 2012. Although the account was last updated in 2021, nothing has been added to this amazing series. Even though it is incomplete, it doesn't really end on a cliffhanger so if you do choose to read it, you don't have to worry about that. Wherever you are, paganpunk2, I hope you're doing well :)

Unmortricken s7e5 - Evil Morty backstory (spoilers)
I feel like we have caught only a glimpse of Evil Mortyâs backstory.
1. He was given a way out. He could âquitâ. If âourâ Morty was given the option to quit and and wanted to do just that, then heâd⌠go back to school. Hang out with Summer. Live with his mum and dad. Be normal. And yet, for Evil Morty, being told he could quit was the absolute last straw. What did he do? Did he go back to school? Nope. Did he puppeteer Rick into NOT doing adventures so he could live the rest of his days with his family in peace? Nope. After âEvilâ Rick was killed, did he go back to his family? Nope. He stayed in the Citadel. Why did he not try to go back home?
2. He looked pretty scared when Rick started yelling at him. He didnât even try to shield himself from the fall, he tried to shield himself from Rick⌠even though Rick didnât actually raise an arm and looked sad afterwards.
3. He says âsorry to be such a high-maintenance Mortyâ. Itâs like he knows what the spectrum for Morty agreeableness is and his place in it.
4. And then thereâs the eyepatch thing. Sure, he could make an electronic eyepatch relatively easily, AND apparently he was knowledgeable enough to perform brain surgery on Rick⌠but kinda unlikely he could do the same to himself. In his room. This points to his right eye already being altered before this scene played out.
5. How did he know about the Central Finite Curve? OUR Morty didnât. It doesnât seem to be common knowledge. We werenât shown Evil Morty finding out about it and seething in anger, that wasnât his tipping point. He already knew all about it. Once he wrestled control, his plan was to go straight for the Curve.
6. And the first step to achieving that, was to erase his record from a Morty Agency. Why was his record there in the first place? It kinda points out to him being a clone Morty or a discarded Morty.
7. His photo in the Morty Agency is clearly disillusioned. Heâs already SO DONE.
8. He described âEvilâ Rick as âa man with an ego so big you could grab it like a joystickâ. This kinda points to him knowing LOTS of Ricks and being able to compare.
9. After he seized control of the citadel, in his very first day, he closed the school brainwashing Mortys. Clearly he knew very well what was going on in that school.
10. I kept thinking how evil he must be to kill all Ricks (understandable) and all innocent Mortys (not so much) in the Citadel⌠He showed no hesitation nor remorse. And when he left, there was no triumph, only relief. (It was the first real smile weâve seen of him, too).
Then I remembered our Rick killed many, many âinnocentâ Ricks too⌠whose only known crime was being a Rick and therefore potentially Rick Prime. Our Rick didnât get so nihilistic for no reason though, we know his backstory. Thereâs no way 14 year old Evil Morty became EVEN MORE nihilistic for no reason other than verbal abuse.
âŚI think Evil Morty had no real home. His whole planet/dimension could have been ruined (probably by Rick shenanigans). Or, even worse, he was âbredâ in the Citadel. Those memories of the Morty supply line/slaughterhouse might have been HIS.
He was enlisted in a Morty Agency, repeatedly cycling through various Ricks⌠And if we take into account what Evil Morty said through âEvilâ Rickâs mouth (âif thereâs one truth in the universe, itâs that Ricks donât care about Mortysâ) he was not once treated well.
He was taken in by Ricks who would drunkedly promise âRick and Morty⌠a hundred years⌠foreverâŚâ (all the while picking him so they could replace their previous Morty, which Iâm sure he was aware of) and then use, betray, abandon or return him to the Morty Agency if he wasnât meek enough.
He would be taken (adopted? hired?) again and again, and have to live in the homes of families that werenât his real family (and if they knew their Morty was dead probably didnât treat him as their real Morty), all the while being promised that this team-up with Rick at least was âforeverâ.
Judging by his reaction when âEvilâ Rick towered over him and by the modification in his eye, some of the Ricks beat him and some did surgical âimprovementsâ, obviously for their own benefit and doubtfully with his consent (our Morty can supposedly turn into a car as well).
The argument he had with âEvilâ Rick in the garage wasnât a repetition of the same old argument Evil Morty kept having with his own grampa; it was the repetition âEvilâ Rick has had with multiple discarded Mortys in the past. And it was Evil Mortyâs last attempt to civilly demand to be treated well. He tried to express his disappointment in a healthy way and was basically told to go back to the Morty Agency and go through the whole spiel again with a new Rick, or being forced to live in the slums of the Citadel.
Evil Mortyâs reenaction of âRick and Morty, a hundred years, foreverâ was the mocking echo of the cruel false promise that had been repeatedly made to him.
People are saying Evil Morty is being set up to become the final threat in the series, but I think everything he does screams that he is an abused child who has given up on having a loving attachment with anyone and just wants to be left alone. I feel like he will get a healing/redemption arc in the end, intertwined with Rickâs healing/redemption arc.
âŚAlso, I might add that Evil Morty is currently a prime target for any super-technologically-advanced interdimensional being that wants to become even more advanced. Sure, he is very clever, lives in a well protected base, doesnât go looking for trouble, has lots of resources and advanced shield and weapon systemsâŚ
âŚbut is also alone, with no allies, and his brain contains the schematics of tools and weapons stolen from countless Ricks, including our Rick and Rick Prime. Which can be stolen from him in turn⌠if he gets caught.
One final thought:
If there is any reason he let our Rick live, I think itâs because he could tell that our Rick cares for his Morty⌠which might come in handy for Evil Morty if an interdimensional being ever tries to use against Evil Morty a weapon similar to that was used on DianeâŚ
(Plus I suspect the weird SUPER SUDDEN switch-places thing that Evil Morty did with Morty might not have been an animation mistake; I kept rewatching to see when they could have switched, but it there was no gap where it could have happened, unless it happened in a literal instant, which could been done by a device Evil Morty has. I know this is a stretch, but IF itâs true, itâs not too bad an idea to keep around a mad genius scientist who cares for his grandson, if you can instantly switch places with said grandson in your hour of need)
