Could've Dipper's ghost blame Mabel for choosing a guy over him? Did Dipper's ghost disown Mabel as his sister for being too self centered?

Did Dipper's mom (I believe Dipper has a closer relationship with his mom, than his dad) and Shermie hate and blame Stan for his constant teasing which they believe is what led "Dipper" to do the unthinkable? Did that led them disown Stan and forbid him from seeing them again?

Has Mabel began a relationship with Gabe? Or was she too full of guilt for losing her brother?

Did, Bill possessed Gabe, so he can eventually possess Mabel so he can destroy her too?

when  linda  was  a  child,  her  sleep  was  often  plagued  by  nightmares.  her  mother,  back  when  she  was  still  alive,  would  always  come  in  to  console  her.  linda  would  sob  into  her  mothers  elegant silk  nightgown  about  nibbly’s  and  drowsy  town’s  and  piggies  and  cinnabon’s.  linda’s  mother  considered  these  ramblings  to  be  nothing  more  than  the  product  of  a  scared  child’s  sleep-deprived  state.  whenever  her  mother  would  try  to  hush  her  cries  by  assuring  her  it  was  only  a  bad  dream,  linda  would  insist:  “no,  it’s  not  a  dream!  it’s  real!  it’s  real!”  .  .  .  .  linda  ‘outgrew  her  nightmares��  by  the  time  she  was  eight,  and  does  not  remember  them  happening  nor  anything  having to  do  with  them.

to  linda,  worship  and  love  go  hand  in  hand,  mutually  exclusive.  they  are  a  yin  and  yang  of  sorts,  one  being  unable  to  exist  without  the  other,  both  having  to  be  earned.  this  view  was  deeply  embedded  into  her  psyche  by  her  father,  who  made  it  clear  growing up with  biting  words  and  the  refusal  of  hugs  that  this  was  his  perspective,  and  never  allowed  linda  to  doubt  its  validity  or  believe  otherwise.  (  this  view  bleeds  into  her  own  parenting  style,  as  her  favorite  child  is  usually  mutually  exclusive  with  the  one  who  most  adores  her  )  

linda was  young  when  she  lost  her  mother, around  age  ten.  she  was  very  close  with  her  mother,  and  it  was  as  though  a  piece  of  herself  had  been  forcefully  and  permanently  ripped  from  her  when  she  died.  the  death  was  deemed  a  tragic  accident,  with  her  car  being  pulled  from  out  a  lake  near  the  witchwood  forest.  linda  always  felt  that  there  was  more  to  it,  that  the  death  was  no  mere  accident,  but  her  concerns  were  shot  down  by  her  father  each  and  every  time  she  tried  voicing  them  to  him.  ever  since  she  was  a  child,  she’s  snuck  out  to  go  sit  in  front  of  her  mothers  grave ( even now, married to gerald with their four boys, linda still sneaks away at night to go visit her grave, and neither gerald or their boys are any the wiser to these visits )  —  a  gravestone  etched  with  little  bees  and  honeycombs  with  the  epitaph:  hallowed  wife,  loving  mother,  and  beloved  honey  queen.

June Egbert is, and always has been incredibly fascinating to me because of just, how many factors have conspired to make Homestuck fans show their collective transmisogynistic asses.

The main character of Homestuck transitioning is a planned future plot point for the official continuation of homestuck, that was spoiled in advance by a fan making a joke about finding some toblerones Andrew Hussie the author of homestuck hid in a cave.

The current main writers of Homestuck: Beyond Canon have went on record in an AMA confirming that this was indeed always the plan, even before they took up the project.

In spite of these facts, the general consensus among certain homestuck fans seems to be that "June Egbert" is purely a headcanon for the original comic that was "made canon" by a "Toblerone Wish" (a concept that didn't even exist at the time)

For a variety of reasons, the "canonicity" of the postcanon official continuations of homestuck is a mattter of much debate, (though a debate that most homestuck fans seem to err on a side of "it's not canon at all in the slightest," something the writers have feelings on I'm sure.)

All of these factors combined leave the concept of "June Egbert" in a very nebulous place. It's assumed by most to just be an "ascended headcanon" that was shoehorned in, it's a spoiler so it hasn't happened yet in any official media, and the official media it will eventually happen in is regarded by some to be nothing more than glorified fanfic.

If someone is talking about June Egbert, and you don't like the concept of June Egbert, you have your pick of a million different excuses for why she's fake and gay and not worth discussing and bad writing and just the authors doing a gay dumbledore*, paying lip service to representation while actually doing nothing.

And of course, lots of people *don't* like June Egbert! Rather than being introduced as transfem from the start, she's in this nebulous position of discovery where people have to truly reckon with the idea of a "Pre-transition Trans Woman."

You can try to write off *some* of the backlash as transphobia, because obviously not everyone in this fandom is gonna be cool about trans people.

But there's no shortage of fans just dying to tell you about how much they like reading her as transmasc, or the idea of her being nonbinary or genderqueer or genderfluid, or literally anything besides a trans woman. And since they're fine with all those other interpretations, there's obviously no implicit biases driving their distaste for the concept! (if you want to try explaining the concept of "transmisogyny" to people like this you're braver than I.)

you can trust them when they say it's *just* a problem with whether or not it makes sense with the writing, or it just doesn't feel right somehow, or any of the thousands of excuses that this writing situation gives them to just Not Like It.

It's just, so interesting to me. There's not a lot of characters out there that get a trans arc in this way, that leaves room for open denialism and insistence that we have our trans cake and eat it too... Because Homestuck is a timeline spanning multiverse story, lots of people seem to want it to be an alternate timeline thing. Assuring us we can have this character share space with a non-transitioning version of herself and it won't be weird or imply gross things about trans people.

If you ask me it feels like a plotline that'd be really good for exploring some gender horror though, finding your true self and then being demoted to a footnote, an alternate version, because everyone around you likes your pre-transition self more....

Anyway I have no broader point beyond "hey look at this isn't this kinda weird. You don't get this kinda stuff often!"

*side note: it's a little ghoulish I think to compare "a future trans plot point that hasn't been given the chance to even happen yet, in an already famously queer piece of media, from a nonbinary author" to "some stupid shit done by the literal most famous transphobe of all time" but that's perhaps a discussion for later.

Do you think I can request headcanons for Nakamaro ?

Like in an alternate route, reader and him (he's in his twenties because... magic ?) are married and reader is pregnant.

But the funny thing is, Nakamaro can't bully the yokais because reader will exorcise him each time he tries.

Aaaaah I finished writing and only afterwards it occurred to me you might've wanted a modern day reader for this. 😭 I imagined the events in his own timeline. Oh well. I think it can work both ways. Just replace the ancient pouch with, I don't know, a visa card that he throws at your parents for wife payment.

Your family had vehemently opposed the marriage. To think their one and only daughter would fall into the hands of such a cruel man. The famous Abe no Nakamaro, descendant of Abe no Seimei himself, has quite a contradicting reputation. He has saved many lives, cured countless illnesses, protected villages from monsters and brought peace to the land. Yet many have also witnessed his ruthless nature: the arrogance he has towards humans, the disdain and utter disgust he harbors towards demons. He is quick to punish, rarely forgives, and never forgets. The yokai he’s captured under a binding contract are kept on a leash, like cattle before slaughter.

It is this man who approached your parents one day, when you were still young, demanding your hand. He claimed you had special powers and a lot of potential under the right guidance. Such spiritual prowess would waste away in a family of plebeians. You don’t remember much of the discussion, only the expressions: the man’s mocking grin as he threw a pouch fattened with coins, the frown of your parents who wanted to refuse, the uneasy, grim eyes of the horned demons brought to intimidate. It was clear they were there against their will. One will find just how difficult it is to go against the wishes of the onmyōji, and you happened to be his most ardent desire. Thus, with a heavy heart, you’d been sent away with the stranger who promised you were to live a life of luxury. One your parents could never afford.

True to his word, you have not struggled since. In Akutagawa’s short masterpiece, Hell Screen, artist Yoshihide is wicked and vicious towards everything and everyone except his beloved daughter. Similarly, the sorcerer seems to have a soft spot for you in particular. He often praises your talent, and patiently caters to your whims without complaint. You once inquired about it yourself, as the idea weighed heavily on your mind: why is it that he does not show the same hostility towards you? He stared at you as if you just grew two more heads. "You're my wife. What else is there to question?"

This favoritism, however, is to the benefit of everyone. Especially to the yokai under his command. You've grown rather fond of the demons in your years spent alongside them, and they've quickly learned that your presence means safety from any punishment. Some need reassurance more than others. To these you've even begun to feel like a motherly figure, shielding them from the wrath of an unforgiving master. At last, an authority even Abe no Nakamaro himself can't disobey: the word of his wife.

And soon enough, as if your marriage wasn't already the ultimate argument, you welcome the return of your husband with the news he's always longed for: you are the soon-to-be mother of his child. His name has just been guaranteed to continue its course through time. To say he is elated is an understatement. You've only seen him smile so genuinely once before in your life, on your wedding day.

"Can you imagine the powers this child will command?" He muses, referring most likely to the fact you've both been blessed with an innate, unmatched talent in onmyōdō. You finish rolling the parchment paper and gently tap his head with the scroll in a scolding manner. "You better not burden the kid with your bizarre expectations!" The same man feared throughout the country is chuckling apologetically at your gesture. "As the Mother says."

Oh I'm about to type for entirely too long.

Alright so a chunk of this is kinda headcanon, but any of that is fully based on canon. I had a giant fanfic planned that was literally an expanded telling of Shatterbird's life from trigger to death, and some plot points there may bleed into this unconsciously.

Number one favorite thing about Shatterbird is that initially, she did nothing wrong. She was unwillingly dosed with a Cauldron vial, and her scream and subsequent exploding of Dubai wasn't her fault. She had no intention to hurt anyone, it was done entirely out of her control as she gained powers and she should not be blamed for her first time destroying a city. The thing is, that doesn't matter in universe. She's still going to be hunted down by countless capes because she killed an untold number of people with that scream. No one's going to just let her go because it wasn't her fault, because she's the only person who can be blamed. People want revenge for their loved ones, and I'm willing to bet that she had a sizable bounty. It's similar to the situation we see with Rachel, where she can't have a normal life because she killed someone in her trigger and her identity is public, but on a much much larger scale.

I think the guilt ate at her so fucking bad at first. She killed her dad, her friends, her sister, her mother, countless others, and as much as it wasn't her fault she's still the one that did it. There's no way she doesn't blame herself for what happened, but when does she even have time to mourn? She's fled to a desert, she's gotta be struggling with food and water, and she's being hounded at every turn by people who want her dead. What's she supposed to do, let them kill her so she can atone for what she did or something?

I just love what a tragic backstory this is. She's one of the most horrible people we meet in canon, and I don't think it's unreasonable to say she has one of the highest body counts on Earth Bet, but she started as someone innocent and desperately trying to survive. And as much as I love this backstory and will defend to the death that she did nothing wrong at this point, it doesn't excuse who she becomes.

Shatterbird laughed.  “There’s only two ways to recover from something of that magnitude, to deal with the fact that you inadvertently killed thousands and thousands of people, and hospitalized twice that many.  You break, or you become it.”

This is the quote that puts her entire character in a nutshell. The biggest question to me is... when did she become it? She implies in that interlude that it was rather quick, and that she went to Britain so she could hit a big target, but the Tattletale clone calls this out as a lie. She was running, the desert that she'd been in for months was unbearably loud with all that sand, and I think she was sick of living on the run. She wanted society, structure, something to make her feel human. I think she's full of shit saying she went there to destroy it, some accident or desperate confrontation occurred (timeline fits well enough for it to be a result of the Simurgh's attack, but that's just one possibility) and she broke London just as bad as she broke Dubai. What do you even do from there? Any slim hope of clearing her name is gone, she just has to keep running and try to ignore the guilt. And she ran to America, where the Slaughterhouse Nine found her.

The recruiting of people by the Slaughterhouse Nine fascinates me, because most are unwilling to join at first. Unfortunately the alternative is to die. No one in Brockton Bay was jumping to be the lucky winner, and the only people we know nominated themselves are Cherish and I think Siberian. Shatterbird (ever notice how she's the only S9 member with no canon first name? drives me nuts) was dragged into the recruitment process with no say in the matter just like most everyone is. Someone in the Nine found her, thought she would be a good fit because of London and Dubai (and how would that feel, to have someone on the S9 see you as just as bad as them?) and even if she explains that was on accident... what does it matter? It never matters that it was an accident. It never will matter. It's just something that she can tell herself to keep her sane.

So she's doing the fun little tests, I'm actually very curious how she altered herself for Mannequin's since he always does the same test, she's a very vain person, but that's off topic. Atrocities, horrors, being hunted by the Siberian, and suddenly she's at the end. Her and someone else.

“That’s not really a test,” Shatterbird spoke, “There hasn’t been a round of testing since I joined the group where we didn’t whittle it down to one candidate.” “We could forego the final test, pitting them against one another.” Shatterbird turned to him, “Ah.  But, again, the last test where we had to go that far was… mine?”

And she kills them. Dubai, London, those were accidents. This was on purpose, maybe even the first time she's done it on purpose. She could either break and decide she couldn't live with herself as a member of the nine, or she could just as horrible as everyone sees her. All her choices were rigged, there was never much of an opportunity to get better since so many paths closed off to her, but she voluntarily chooses to get worse. What's the point in holding on to the fact that it wasn't her fault at the beginning? She's never escaping what she did, so she'll become the monster everyone sees her as. You break, or you become it.

And there's not much of the more sympathetic side of Shatterbird in canon (partly because her backstory chapter was removed). She's fully embraced herself as a mass murderer. She revels in the attention, the fear. She parrots Jack's philosophy as a way to feel better about what she's doing, and eventually she doesn't need to feel better because she enjoys who she is now.

I don't know, I rambled for a while there but it boils down to me being fascinated by the circumstances of her gaining powers, and the shift from innocent but hated/feared to making damn sure that fear is justified.

Ok, so moving on from the backstory analysis, other miscellaneous details. Fuck it, I'm putting every thought I have on Shatterbird in this post.

She's the Nine's primary recruiter! Woo, good for her. Notably, she recruits Burnscar. Mimi is in a similar position to Shatterbird's past self with the whole involuntary mass destruction, although on a lesser scale (it'll always be on a lesser scale, Shatterbird has the worst trigger event out there in terms of consequences and she didn't even trigger). Mimi was on the streets and trying not to use her power, and Shatterbird scooped her up into the Nine.

“I- before I knew it, the Slaughterhouse Nine had found me.  Shatterbird recruited me.  And now I’m stuck.  I’m trapped.  You know there’s a kill order out on me?  If I try to quit, either the Nine or the cops will off me.  So I keep going, I work for them, and it all just gets worse.”

It's a situation Shatterbird can very likely relate to, but she's perpetuating it and making Mimi suffer like she did. No sympathy, no helping someone get through it and avoid the pitfalls she fell into, she's dragging other people down with her like a crab in a pot. Worth noting that I believe she's still bitter about the hand she was dealt even if she's embraced where it led her to, she remembers how horrible it was to be forced into everything and she does not care if she inflicts it on others.

But if someone else willingly joins the Nine, she takes it personally. Cherie says Shatterbird hates her, and that's because Cherie chooses the life Shatterbird was locked into. She's bitter that she never had that choice, and so she makes sure Cherie understands what it's like by chasing her for days for her test, not allowing any rest or sleep. However, this could also simply because Cherie sucks and is an unpleasant person to talk to, and Shatterbird is stuck-up.

Another thing I like is Shatterbird's appearance of knowledge and elegance. She's trying to appear put together, confident, in-control, and to be fair she does a pretty good job, her costume and theming are great. But under that is someone violent and angry, she's keeping up appearances to everyone else but also to herself. The fact that she's always trying to keep up appearances, even when locked in a room and doomed to die with one Witness (haha get it) she's trying to make it look like she was calm and in control when her body is found, is what 100% convinces me exploding Britain was an accident. The Tattletale clone calls her out, and to me it seems like another attempt to seem in control by framing it as deliberate.

Anyway, my attempts to woobify a mass murderer aside, I also like that she was a spoiled rich kid before all this and her prim asshole attitude points to that. She quotes Edgar Allen Poe, she reads because it makes her feel better than others, she's just so pretentious and unpleasant and to be clear I love this as a character trait, it's fun and leads to her speaking in overdramatic ways.

She thinks she was soooo cool saying that.

I also want to look at the last few weeks of her life. She spends so much effort propping herself up as great and in control, only to be locked in a box and puppeted around against her will. Genuinely I cannot think of anything more humiliating and agonizing for her to endure. She has nothing to do but think as she's used as a marionette.

She had a long time to reflect on her life, to look back at how she got here and what she regrets.

But I think she spent it stewing in her rage, itching and planning to get violent revenge and keep hurting others to be respected. She's unwilling and unable to go back, she'll double down on this forever because this is who she is now. And because 99% of characterization for Shatterbird isn't in Worm anyway, I may as well toss in this minor AU summary by Wildbow. If she escaped, she would have started her own version of the Nine with Damsel of Distress and Trickster. There is nothing left to sympathize with or redeem Shatterbird by the time we see her in canon, she's simply past that point. Side note but Shatterbird + Damsel of Distress + Trickster as a team is perhaps the funniest combo ever and I really wish those 3 fuckers got to interact in canon. Weirdo assholes who dress up fancy and have a taste for theatrics as a murder crew, we were robbed.

I could analyze the Hookwolf interlude but I don't want to. I'm very annoyed that Shatterbird (still no first name) is the only member of the Nine to lose the fight against her recruit instead of appearing terrifying and unstoppable. How come Burnscar can solo Faultline's crew but 3 nazis can take out Shatterbird, who has way more experience? It's pretty uncomfortable to have the only member of the Nine who isn't white be the one that loses to nazis, while one calls her a slur in his internal monologue, in the interludes where everyone else on her team is introduced as a force of nature. I think we should just collectively agree to make this interlude not canon and un-retcon the Witness interlude. While I'm on the topic it's also a bit questionable to have Sophia and Shatterbird (no first name. I am annoyed by this) as the only named capes puppeted by Regent?

But that's not the topic I wanna explore. The topic is that Shatterbird is a great character and I wish that she had depth in the story itself rather than scattered through 20 different sources, because she's legitimately my favorite non-undersider in the story. There is a lot of potential to explore her, one could interpret her backstory in a less charitable way than I did just for an example, and I really think she's neat! She takes hurting someone in an accident and then becoming the monster people see her as, something we see a few times throughout worm, to its ultimate conclusion in terms of scale. That alongside her outer layer of intellectualism and pretentiousness, which I'm a massive sucker for as a trait, and she's just perfect. Did nothing wrong (citation needed). I love her and I do hope that at least some of the stuff written her makes someone appreciate her character more.

If some stuff seems inconsistent between paragraphs here, it's probably because I wrote this in chunks over the course of a few weeks and my feelings at the time can influence my interpretation of things and my writing to feel different when read all at once and compared. Absolutely none of them cares about Yuji's being inspired by Nanami, Choso, Todo, Wasuke, save Megumi....no. The third fic is basically gojo and Yuji fighting together against Sukuna (God forbids yuji vs Sukuna)

Runeterra Multiverse PART 1

In Arcane we are introduced to two alternative timelines in episode 2x7, the worst timeline and the the best timeline, but this isn't a new concept to Riot, their business model is selling skins of their Champions, usually by giving them new outfits and lore in an alternative Universe.

Today I want to introduce you to some of those interesting Universes, who knows, maybe they even scratch a creative itch and you are inspired to create a fanwork or make headcanons ;).

It's nice to see some universes that aren't extremly traumatic like arcane...

1. VALORAN TOWN

Valoran Town is a modern au of the Runeterra Universe, the chinese branch of Riot released a mini series last year that follows Lux, a rich young girl, as she moves to Valoran Town to escape her overbearing brother, Garen. She becomes the roomate of her best friend Jinx and various other Champions like Ezrael and Miss Fortune.

There is even an Ekko cameo in one of the episodes! It's a fun watch and has a very short runetime, I highly recommend it if you want to see a happy Jinx. No prior League knowledge is needed as it's a modern au. I noticed some Arcane references in the background as well!

2. STAR GUARDIAN AU

Star Guardian is another modern au of the Runeterra Universe, this time set in Valoran City. It follows a group of highschoolers as they become cosmic protectors and fight enemies that threaten their Universe. Yes, this is quite literally a magical girl au. I love it so much.

3. K/DA

Likely the most well known League AU, so well known in fact, that a lot of people don't even realize it's related to League. K/DA is a virtual band and kpop AU of several League characters.

4. ODYSSEY AU

Odyssey is an AU set in space. It kind of gives me Guardians of the Galaxy vibes. Various groups are in pursuit of ora—a mysterious golden essence that serves as the lifeblood of all civilization, and promises untold power to those who can wield it for themselves. One Crew that will be especially interesting for us Arcane viewers, is the Morning Star Crew, a ragtag group that is also searching for Ora. There is a familiar face on the crew, their pilot, Jinx.

5. <3 AU

The <3 AU is an alternative Universe of Caitvi, Cait is part of the Heartthrob Clique and Vi is part of the Heartache Clan. The two groups are opposites of eachother, but the two students seem to have taken a liking to eachother. In a mini game named Cupcakes 4 Heartaches Cait bakes her secret Cupcake recipe with the help of Vi.

They even wrote letters adressed at eachother:

There is an alternative version of Cait who is such a chrono-law enforcer, she is feared in all sorts of eras. Ekko is one of the fugitives, in a companion story he crashes in the hide-out of his (boy)friend Ezrael. (yeah, their relationship is censored sadly. If you pick up vibes while reading this story, it was on purpose)

i don't think he'd be an avid social media user at all but i do think he has like one private burner account on twitter or smth that nobody follows. he also might have tiktok for like...booktok or smth but he very quickly realizes it's not for him at all. he stays for the recipes though, occasionally bookmarks a dish and saves it for a night when he has a little extra time to cook a proper meal. i don't really think he'd be watching edits of himself bc i don't think there would be THAT many, like he's fighting druglords in warehouses in the middle of the night, i don't think anyone would really be recording. but on the off chance he has a more public fight and someone does record, if it ever comes up on his fyp or timeline i think he'd click not interested. or alternatively, he'd only see them bc he's into bikes like that's the SOLE reason he ever sees himself on social media, is bc he drives a cool fucking motorcycle (he does) and other people are obsessed with it.

my tiny little (indulgent) headcanon is that he has a private ig with like three followers, where he posts pics of him and you. maybe some scenery pics, a couple of book quotes, etc. but it's mostly for you. and he'll like your posts, but he doesn't comment. he doesn't want people to know about it so he'll just text you saying you look pretty in the pictures you posted.

The Demon's Crimson Heir

I finished rewriting the first chapter of "The Demon's Crimson Heir" yesterday and posted the work on Archive of Our Own. It's created in a new series, since "Obsidian Empire" doesn't align with the story anymore. That reason will be shown soon in one of the works that I'll add soon. This alternative universe/timeline is where Tim is raised in the League of Assassins and never becomes the Robin and Red Robin as we know him today. I did a deep dive on how and why Ra's would be interested in Tim pre-Robin, and adding a few headcanons in the future soon. But if you want to know, this is how I see how and why Ra's would recruit Tim as his new targetted heir.

How Ra’s Could Notice Tim:

Tim’s habit of tailing Batman and the Bat-family catches Ra’s attention. It’s not every day a kid in Gotham manages to follow the world’s greatest detective without getting caught. That kind of resourcefulness isn’t something Ra’s would overlook.

He Stumbles Into League Business:

While following Batman, Tim might accidentally uncover one of the League of Assassins’ operations. Ra’s would definitely notice a sharp kid like Tim poking around where he shouldn’t.

Tim’s Smarts Shine Through:

Tim solves a big mystery, figuring out something about Batman, Ra’s would be intrigued (and yes, Ra's knows at this point). He respects brains, and Tim’s got plenty of that, even before becoming Robin.

Why Ra’s Would Be Interested:

Tim Reminds Him of Bruce:

Ra’s has a thing for people who are smart, determined, and capable—basically, people like Batman. Tim reminds him of Bruce in many ways, much more than his intellect, Ra’s would take an interest, no question.

Ra’s thinks, “Hey, this kid could be useful someday.” Whether as an ally, a pawn, or even a successor, Tim’s skills and connection to Batman make him worth keeping an eye on.

l'manburg language headcanons

okay so i havent sat down and actually created a language for lmanburg but I hc that they have their own language & here are hcs for that language. its a mashup of all the languages that the members speak. i know that a language couldn't really develop in the timeframe so I'm speeding up the development because i want to.

Slang / Phrases

first, it exists withing minecraft, so internet/minecraft lingo and phrases are commonplace (ie: pots, spawn, etc)

l'manburg was born out of conflict, so many phrases and slang are often violent.

because many prolific figures (c!tommy with prime, c!wilbur with being phil's son, c!eret with the herobrine stuff, c!dream with the XD stuff) are heavily religous / associated with religion, religious phrases are also very common.

there are different words for non-canon death, a canon death, and the last canonical death (the one that kills kills you)

Actual Language

l'manburg's language is a mix of british english, french, dutch, spanish, german, latin, and ancient greek. because it is such a new language, some words are the exact same as the English (given that english is the common language) words.

all military/war words have absolutely no english ties (as to provide secrecy). most are a mix of french, latin, and ancient greek (latin and ancient greek comes from c!tommy & c!wilbur, because they were taught by c!techno)

words pertaining nationality, home, or base are a mix of french (l'-), german (-manburg), and dutch (man). Most are french.

words pertaining to money or commerce are dutch & english inspired.

words pertaining to farming are inspired by ancient greek (c!techno again)

words pertaining to government/high authority are often a mix of latin, french, and english (c!wilbur is fucking obsessed with french & latin)

anything related to food is inspired by german and ancient greek.

Context / Timeline

quackity's arrival made spanish inspired words/phrases more abundant.

schlatt made american phrases and spellings very common.

the manburg administration attempted to phase out the language, but was unsuccessful.

new lmanburg caused many more phrases based on death, nature, rot, and renewal.

new lmanburg put a lot of emphasis on philosophical, poetic, descriptive, and physiological words.

words regarding cops, police, and laws are closely tied with negative words such as evil, thief, and traitor.

manburg replaced many religious words and phrases with more neutral alternatives.

the first words created in the new language were military moves and tools.

new lmanburg's descriptive words were often enderian words translated into the latin alphabet (as c!ranboo, the minute man, was the one who used and created them)

lmanburg was often underdeveloped in governmental words pertaining to the running of a country.

Look maybe the fandom has talked about this before but I was a literal child when the fandom was born so I'm gonna talk about it now. Childhood is temporary but fandom is forever (no it's not)

Peggy Carter's birthday on the MCU wiki is listed as April 8, 1921. Based on some speculative timelines, we can determine that the events of Captain America: The First Avenger span from approximately June 1943 to March 1945, so Peggy would have been between the ages of 22 years 2 months and 23 years 11 months.

Agent Carter season 1 takes place in April/May 1946, which we know because the season finale happens on the first anniversary of V-E Day on May 8. It's not entirely clear how many days pass over the course of the season (unless it is and I'm just not dedicated enough), but given that episodes 5-8 seem to happen over the course of about 50 hours, it seems safe to say it's about a week to ten days. This means Peggy is 25 years 1 month old at the end of the season.

However, in S01E01 "The Iron Ceiling" Daniel looks at Peggy's file to cross-reference an injury she received with the ones in the photos of the blonde at the club, who is of course Peggy in disguise. The incident report shows her age at the time of the injury as 26 years 11 months old.

These means one of a few things is possible. The first is that the show got her age wrong on accident, either because they didn't know her birthday or they didn't scrutinize the timeline like a fandom does, which is very likely but boring. Second is that it's possible her birthday was made canon after the show, which is also possible and boring. Another possibility is that the MCU wiki has her birthdate wrong, stating that she is younger than canon says she is, which seems unlikely to me and is also a boring explanation.

The most fun and most headcanon-y explanation is that she really was born in 1921 but she, for whatever reason, lied about her age and said she was born in 1918, making her 28 years 1 month old at the time of the first season.

1918 seems the most logical year because the show implies Daniel doesn't know about the injury, but it is established that the two have known each other for six months. If she was 27 at the time of the show the injury would be two months old and Daniel would likely know about it. Additionally, the wound appears as healed scars, meaning it has been healed for some time, likely longer than two months.

Assuming she only lied about her birth year and not the actual day, a birth year of 1918 places the injury in March 1945, which makes logical sense with the timeline of CA:TFA, placing the event in the approximately two weeks between Cap going in the ice and her birthday.

1918 also makes sense because, assuming she got involved with S.O.E. in 1940 like the show depicts, she would have been about 19 pretending to be 22. If she had lied and said she was much older, it seems likely she would have been caught in the lie. Additionally, Steve was born in 1918, Bucky and Howard in 1917, and Daniel and Jack sometime in 1918 or 1919 (the wiki is vague for both of them), so her supposed age would be consistent with the ages of the people she worked with.

I personally headcanon that she was born in 1921 and lied that she was born in 1918. I also headcanon that Michael was born in 1918 and they used the same year as if they were twins, which has far less basis in canon and is more of a little treat for me.

If anyone has insight/proof of some other alternative/theories/headcanons, let me know because I would love to hear!

This is so many days late (and my third time trying to answer this b4 tumblr kills me)

I don't think he's from deltarune- i do think he's from another universe- just not deltarune. At least i dont head canon him as being from deltarune- i wouldn't mind if he was but i think him bleeding is too neat to ignore and monsters in deltarune dont bleed. (I think it being ketchup is a copout...) he COULD be bleeding because of DT- and like the amglamates papyrus does say sans emits slime

But if that's the case why doesn't he melt like undyne does? And papyrus is also weird as hell! guy quotes Shakespeare when you kill him! And the flying and pinpointing us based on calls he can't see- it's just the two of them are too weird to be ut monsters or dr monsters in my eyes. Alphys has also studied alternate timelines so I really like the hc that she knows the skelebros were isekaid and was helping sans try to get home. (I flip flop on that one tho- mainly because I like her being mad he DIDINT tell her he was isekaid even more- alphys fucking up so bad she starts aggressively researching alternate universes so she can literally go somewhere where nobody knows her only for the fucking hot dog seller who brings her dog food to be from one...)

But onto actual backstory hcs that aren't me just rambling with no goal (this got way too long so the rest are under the read more </3):

I dont think they were raised by two loving parents- they give off kids who were raised by their grandparent (singular) vibe- and I like the idea that sans is at least 8-10 years older than papyrus. Maybe getting custody when he was 20~ and papyrus was 11~ ish. I kinda hate the sans neglected papyrus or was an alcoholic headcanons- I think he genuinely tried really hard with him and was decent enough role model (especially like the idea that papyrus got the whole "you can be a better person if you just try" mentality from sans while sans eventually dropped it)

Sans was in the middle of finishing his thesis when gaster accidentally nabs both sans & papyrus- and I dont think sans was as upset about this as first as he eventually gets. Mainly because of shock. And also he thought if gaster could bring them there- then he could also send them back. (And proving alternate universes exist by getting stuck in one is a way better thesis than what he was working on- Shame he never gets to go back sux to suck)

I don't think Sans let's himself get very close to people- he does really like being around them and while he's not happy underground I don't think hed be able to choose between whatever his home universe is and undertale if given the choice to go back home. Especially post pacifist. And he's certainly not considering it an option in any ending where papyrus is dead either. Actually, papyrus making friends (undyne) is part of why I think that. Sans really wants his brother to be happy, and while they both put on the facade of it to each other, they also can see through each other (to an extent). So sans thinks papyrus is happier in uts universe and eventually when he can't Crack getting back he gives up and decides to just go with the flow and put all of that energy back into figuring out the anomaly and making his brother happy.

I do subscribe to the idea that gaster was the last skeleton underground (mainly because skeletons are very typical rpg monsters and we don't see any goblins or orcs so I like the hc that most of them- along with a majority of humanoid monsters were wiped out in the war since they would have been the first line of defense and being so similar to humans physically led to alot of targeting) (genealogy wise I actually hc skeleton monsters to be closer related to rock monsters on the evolutionary side than ghost or elemental ones) but thats related to gaster and not sans & papyrus- for those two they had met plenty of skeleton monsters b4 gaster so are pretty perplexed by the whole last of his kind thing. And for gaster it's just kinda quiet awe at not being alone anymore. Bringing in two random skeletons from another universe was NOT his intention- them being isekaid was an accident from his first (failed) attempt at contacting 'us'. Cue gaster trying to (gently) pry information about the other skeleton monsters from sans & papyrus only to not get much info at all due to sans and papyrus not being raised around the rest of their family. He does get to hear about some skeleton celebrities papyrus kept up with...

NOT dadster btw- not a fan of dadster sorry 😭 think more weird old guy who's really sorry about fucking up their lives but also incredibly lonely and a little cooky in the head. The two didn't/couldn't use magic in their home universe so the reason their magic is so weird and out there is because gaster told them magic was real- gave a piss poor demonstration- and then the two just figured it out from there. Running on the cartoon logic that their magic works because they don't know it's not supposed to work that way. I'm sure sans is somewhat aware he breaking the rules but I do not think he cares.

Speaking of gaster being old- he's really stupid old- like gerson old (mhmm gerster...). Both skelebros are very surprised by this and sans just doesn't believe him at first. He's half convinced alphys is lying to him when she's dreamily talking about asgore and mentions off handedly that he's hundreds of years old. In tandem with alphys knowing Sans is from another universe I like to play with her figuring it out because Sans straight up doesn't know basic monster history or culture (her first theory was that he was just really sheltered but he makes way to many your mom jokes and is also way to aware of memes for her to think that for long. This one is very specific but Sans teleporting is vibes based. Like actually affected by the vibes of where hes going. He can't teleport out of the underground because the barrier was designed to keep monsters in- quid pro quo he can't get passed it. For a similar reason he can't teleport out of or into the ruins because of toriel. Locking doors or being mad at him makes it more difficult for sans to teleport to the room your in but if he really likes the place (or the place is populated/associated with people that like him) then he can easily teleport to it. (I hope this makes sense- I have another explanation that gets more technical but I need a diagram for that one)

Sans Will make shit up as he goes along- if he doesn't know something, he is just as likely to say some completely fabricated bullshit as he is to say he doesn't know. Bane of floweys existence...

He Once got paid 50 bucks by some human med school students to participate in their anatomy project- he was supposed to get another 50 after but got isekaid before he could do it. Was really disappointed about it- he had so many jokes planned, and he loves making people uncomfortable. I like to think he went to alot of parties like the extroverted weirdo he is. Despite not being able to open his mouth he 100% knows how to shotgun a beer. At one of these parties is where he was asked by the aforementioned med students- he thought it was hilarious and none of them were sober enough to think what they were asking him through. Cue him showing up the next day while they are hungover to bug them about it since it sounds fun.

Physics major. That's it. He also studied quantum theory and probably took a shit load of philosophy classes. Depending on how old papyrus is (I flip flop on how old I imagine him to be lol) then sans probably took papyrus with him to some of his classes (papyrus is all of sans teachers favorite, he ask questions, stays on task, joins in discussions- doesnt play snake on his computer like his brother does)

Projecting here but I think Sans would like the good place.. papyrus would to.. so personal hc they both watched the series together and papyrus did NOT cry like a little baby at the ending!!! (Psp psp psp watch the good place) we know he likes star wars (or is it star trek?? I'm trying to find the image of papyrus saying which one he likes but I can't find it 😭) so it's my belief sans has seen space balls- and forced papyrus to watch it with him too. Also probably really liked Adam Sandler movies and Monty Python, secretly I think he likes a good romcom. Papyrus I think Is more into romances and reality TV, and also the SAW franchise and Final Destination films specifically. Why? Idk 🤷 it just feels right to me. Litol baby 8 yo papyrus begging sans to take him to the release of the 2nd SAW film.... kids love deadly spikes 🤷.

The two are different flavors of autistic in the opposite directions- papyrus is very picky sans is the opposite of picky. He has and will in the future eat food that's dropped on the ground. Guy orders the worst burger on the menu and chugs straight ketchup. He is also capable of eating the almost edible spaghetti papyrus makes. Really his only competition for the trash eating championship is frisk. See also: sans is very monotone while papyrus gets loud and has volume issues. There's more than just those two but other people have gone more in depth in reasoning for making them autistic-

Okay last one and probably the most confusing one? The constellations of sans and papyrus's og universe are different from the ones they finally get to see at the end of post pacifist. Sans and papyrus lived in a big city so they only saw the real stars once (light pollution is a bitch) - the rest of the time being through books and textbooks. Sans had one of these textbooks on hand when they were isekaid and took the pages out to put up on his ceiling. He was a bit disappointed when they finally saw the stars on the surface and they weren't the ones he remembered.

Would Kevin’s life be so different if Kayleigh was in the frame this time ?

My gut wants to say one thousand percent yes. but maybe I'm putting too much faith in Kayleigh as a character that we don't know a lot about, but I really do think it would.

There's the question of how much Tetsuji/the Moriyamas respect Kayleigh in this timeline, too. Would they have even allowed her to be a mother to Kevin? But my headcanon of Kayleigh was that she was a loving, present mom in Kevin's life. She loved him with every fibre of her being, she celebrated every single one of his achievements, she told him frequently that she was proud of him. My headcanon of Kayleigh is that she would do anything to protect Kevin. She was killed because she wanted her son to be a person, not an exy machine.

But actually, how much did she buy into what the Moriyama's were selling her? How much did she know about the Ravens, about what they were planning on putting Kevin through? I could see her being kept in the dark a lot about what was happening in the nest, because I like to believe she'd have been disgusted about what they were doing to her passion project, her baby, the sport she gave up her life for because she truly believed in it. But maybe she wouldn't have been. Maybe she would've been willing to turn a blind eye for the sake of the success of her son and her sport.

There's actually way too many questions to answer before knowing how differently things would've turned out, and it feels like a choice-based game in my head. Kayleigh survives an assassination attempt by the Moriyamas. Does she a) run away with her son or b) stand her ground and fight back. All these different routes and avenues that could change the outcome of the future depending on which way she and Kevin decide to go.

TL;DR I feel like we don't know enough about Kayleigh in canon to know exactly how differently things would've been if she hadn't been killed. It all depends on who she was and how she viewed her son, but i think there's a lot of alternative endings that they could've had if she just were alive to get there.
