This is what she said:
“Sansa didn’t tell Jon because she wanted all the credit,” Turner said laughing. “And it was a more dramatic moment when they show up, and it makes for better television.”
And also this:
“I think she believes it was probably more of a joint effort in terms of battle of the bastards. She thinks they should be King and Queen of the North. I’m not sure she thinks Jon is capable of being King of the North. She thinks he doesn’t have the knowledge and experience that she has. And I concur.”
Read more here:

I can't believe Sophie said this: "She thinks they should be King and Queen of the North." And still some people thought she hated j word lol

Hudson and Rex S02E11 - Rex Machina
Fun pun. Even better because deus ex machina is an unexpected power or event saving a seemingly hopeless situation, especially as a contrived plot device in a play or novel, and that happens often in this show.
Literally all crime show procedurals have done the "car kills human" one way or another. So, again, we're not looking to reinvent the wheel here. We're looking for a fun episode. Which it was, mostly the parts with Terabyte which I thought was a clever invention from whoever wrote the script.
Tumblr media
Terabyte's first appearance!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
How dare you.
Tumblr media
This is a ridiculous idea. It just begs to be vandalized.
Rex's interactions with all the robotic parts is hilarious. I can only imagine what dogs think about all these things. Judging by their reactions on the roomba vacuum cleaners, not good things.
Being on bad terms with your daughter because you're a trucker and she's about to revolutionize the car industry and maybe your job won't exist by the time you retire is... completely stupid. Yes, any other trucker would have the right to feel threatened but her own father?
Tumblr media
Dude, you parked in the middle of the street.
Tumblr media
Sarah has already adopted Terabyte.
Tumblr media
I live for Rex's jealousy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Stop being so cute.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Hoomans, if you don't get that thing away from me..."
Well, up until that moment, I had not realized that the one sided-glass in that interrogation room can also become... two-sided? Also, fun scene.
Tumblr media
Charlie and Sarah walking their dogs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I completely forgot it was Sarah that named him Terabyte!
"He looks like a terabyte". What precisely does a terabyte, a measure of counting digital data storage, look like?
Rex: Damnit, Terabyte is going to blow this case wide open. I have to step up my game.
Tumblr media
Sarah: [about Terabyte] It's a he, not an it. Charlie: *sending silent signals to Jesse to just go with it*
Tumblr media
Charlie: Good job, Terabyte. Rex: OH HE DID NOT! I'll make it look like an accident.
Tumblr media
I love subtitles.
Tumblr media
Sarah: Where's Terabyte? Jesse: Charging. Rex: He's in here! And I'm smelling fried circuits!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I concur.
I love the justification of, "I blackmailed a company and murdered a person when my ex got involved into an unrelated to said company motorcycle accident which left him paralyzed, because self-driving cars are ruining my hometown which is solely dependent on the driving industry". I don't think automation made you a shitty person, you were always one. Also, I'm not sure if that stands medically, but it's implied that if they hadn't gone to the trouble of staging this to seem like the car's fault, he might not have had permanent damage to his spine. So, she traded his legs for 10k per month.
lol they're opening the plant in Axtonville, a town where everyone is a trucker? Are truckers and plant workers interchangeable?
I actually dislike the pro "our company cares" endings they sometimes do. This isn't the first one.
Tumblr media
"That's right, bitches. Despite Jesse's best efforts to murder me, I'm back."
Tumblr media
Might happen sooner than you think.
Tumblr media
Definitely not. I'm going to be watching Rex adaptations forever.
Tumblr media
"No, we're not friends now. It's a 'keep your enemies close' thing."
I was glad to see Terabyte in later episodes. Although I don't think he ever moved again. I think at some point Rex probably had enough and ripped his circuits to shreds. The damage was irreparable. Everyone was sad. Rex wasn't.

I ended up getting Nicki, and she arrived today!
Tumblr media
she’s super cute! I got pretty lucky and her eyelashes are placed pretty well. I LOVE her meet outfit - not only is it super cute, but the fabrics all feel really nice, and it comes with more pieces than I generally expect from modern ag. The shirt and dress are separate, and the flannel is a regular doll shirt with functional buttons (!!). Her shoes are nice, but I watched a review on YouTube where they said the material felt like one that would start disintegrating with age, like a lot of older ag shoes, and I concur. Her accessories are also super cute, but I really wish historicals still came with a coin 😭
I read her journal, and it’s pretty cute! However, I stand by both my assessment that ag is sidestepping harder hitting historical events due to them seeming too sensitive, which like. If the past is so recent you can’t comfortably write about the realities of it, wait a few years -_- It read more like a goty story to me: more focused on relationships and inner conflict.
On the other hand, I also stand by my opinion that the switch to journals is totally fine, if not good. Ag’s target demographic has gotten younger, and the reading level of the books that come with dolls should reflect that imo. Also, if the name “journal” is tripping you up, it’s actually just a graphic novel, not like. An actual journal without a story. It had a similar feel to me as something like diary of a wimpy kid. There was also a section where “nicki” explained how to make zines, which was really cute.
Content-wise, it was fun, though a bit tame compared to other historical books (nickis anxiety about y2k was a nice character moment, but it alone does not make y2k a incredibly major historical event lol). My only big complaint with the story itself was the fact that they got their pets for Hanukkah. Like. I thought we all knew giving kids pets as gifts is a bad thing???? Not a huge fan of that. On a lighter note, Nicki loves lists (as do I!) and I thought it was a really fun detail.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Guys, I think she might possibly love lists.)
However, I do have another problem with the journals - it seems like the book that’s coming out will be the exact same story, based on the name 😭 on the last page, it said to look out for the book, called “Isabel and nicki: countdown to y2k” which is like. The plot of the journal I just read lol

Thank you so much for answering and gahhhh, I honestly didn't think I would enjoy this scene so much more than I already did. It always felt so perfect, though I will never forgive your torturous talent of writing the slow burn marathon that preceded it /hj.
Deep down, I feel like I always knew the flashlight held more meaning and power than it seems. But please forgive my surface-level ass for not seeing how beautiful, empowering, and romantic all in one it truly was until you spelled it out for me just now lol.
Your intertwining of their character arcs is so fascinating the more you describe it. It's just impossible for me to not see this story as their greatest journey in life (at this point in the timeline at least lol, I need to read your other fics!) . You fleshed them both out so brilliantly, and made their bond on this journey so magnetic and fulfilling. And may I just say, Asami's kiss being spur-of-the-moment was always something I enjoyed most about this. But hearing you say "without realizing it she's finally dropped her walls. Kissing Iroh now feels so natural that she's doing it before she has a chance to tell herself no." ARGGGHHH I'm totally not 🥺'ing at reading that rn ❤️‍🔥 Not to mention Iroh's own reaction, thought process, and the tacit deep connection between them before they come up for air and speak to each other.
I am sorry for the pain that writing kissing scenes causes you! This one especially, all those re-writes that must have driven you crazy! But please know, there's not a single thing I would change about it. "It felt like being seen. Like coming home." I don't think anything sounds more perfect than that, especially for my girl Asami!
And may I concur that the humble, serene ending establishing their proper communication is an absolute lovely note to end on? I mean, the only thing that could make it better is an impromptu dumpling date request from Iroh 😉 I will admit I'm a sucker for "The chaos is finally over, wanna go out?" But I don't think I've ever enjoyed it more than with these two, at the end of this life-changing journey you took me on with them 🥰
Thank you so, so much again, for the answer, and literally every other word you write. The Irosami crowd will never serve under a finer Captain 🫡
For the DVD commentary please! From a fic which reading was one of my favorite experiences all of 2022 🫶 (not exaggerating in the slightest)
AWOL, Chapter 44 (Spoilers):
“Is that why you’re here?” she asked. “To offer me a job?”
“No, actually.” Iroh reached into his coat pocket and pulled something out. “I came to bring back a prototype. I believe I took excellent care of it, but I wanted to return it to its rightful owner as soon as possible.” He opened his palm to reveal her portable light. “A brilliant inventor let me borrow it, but I understand it’s one of a kind. A museum will want it one day.”
He thought that her invention belonged in a museum? It was one of the nicest things anyone had ever said to her. Without thinking Asami threw her arms around Iroh’s neck, stood on her toes, and kissed him soundly on the mouth.
It took Asami a second before she realized what she’d done. She hadn’t thought about it at all, but it seemed like everything had so suddenly changed that she had just… slipped. So much for being better than that. She felt her face grow hot. Asami lowered herself down, arms still around his neck, and forced herself to open her eyes. Iroh was staring at her with a combination of shock and unmistakable delight. He chuckled quietly, almost to himself. Then he leaned down, slowly, and pressed his lips to hers.
His kiss was soft and brief, almost tentative. Iroh pulled away and searched her face, curious, as if determining the result of some important experiment. Asami gave him a stunned smile and he nodded slightly. Then he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her again, this time more firmly. His mouth was very warm. Her nose filled with the smell of him as she closed her eyes; fresh soap, the barest hint of cologne, and something else underneath that she liked but couldn’t quite place. Maybe it was just his own scent. Her heart thudded in her chest as his lips parted hers, gentle yet insistent, never rushing. Exploring. Familiar, yet new. She pulled him into her, finally remembering to kiss him back, to kiss him, to kiss Iroh, her Iroh, again and again and again and again. The fabric of his collar was rough against her fingers. He pressed her close, and she felt the portable light dig slightly into her back. Nobody had ever kissed her like this before, steadily, patiently, thoroughly. It felt like being seen. Like coming home.
When they finally parted, Iroh was grinning, gold eyes alight. He rested his forehead against hers, their noses just brushing. “Okay,” he breathed.
“Okay.” She felt like she was spinning.
“For the record, I refuse to pretend that didn’t happen this time.”
“Yes,” Asami laughed, a little breathless. “That definitely happened. Actually, I think the other one happened, too.”
“Good,” he said. “I liked the other one.”
“Yeah. Me, too.”
Ahhhh omg thank you. I still love AWOL so much even though my writing has evolved a little since then.
So as you know this is the end of the fic where 44 chapters of mutual pining come crashing down.
I wrote AWOL more or less in order, but the idea of Iroh borrowing Asami's newly invented flashlight was a late add. I write Iroh as kind of tactile and Asami as a gift-giver in her love language, so her giving him the light and him touching it to find his way home (to her) was I thought a nice way to bring them back together. His comments about the light belonging in a museum are also meant to show his shift in mindset from Asami being something he wanted (him vs Mako) to someone valuable in her own right, independent of a relationship. Which is essentially Iroh's character arc in this fic - going from being very focused on his own feelings to really, truly putting someone else first.
And here we have Asami's. Her journey in AWOL is to let herself be open to love. I absolutely wanted the kiss at the end to be driven by her, and to be something she doesn't overthink - not in the way Iroh kissed her before because he was desperate, but because without realizing it she's finally dropped her walls. Kissing Iroh now feels so natural that she's doing it before she has a chance to tell herself no.
For the actual kissing I liked the idea of it being the opposite of what had happened before. Part of Iroh putting Asami first is now making sure she wants this. He kisses her a little and sees what happens. Only when she's obviously happy with it does he go for it. But Iroh being more of an actions-over-words person and my own personal dislike of stopping the action to have characters say "may I kiss you?" I wanted to do all of this silently.
I re-wrote this like 14,000 times and still hate writing kisses. Kisses are so fucking hard to write.
“Yeah. Me, too.”
Overall I like that the end of AWOL is kind of quiet. They're not tearing each others' clothes off or anything. Just a good, solid kiss to know how they really feel and then a little "okay." If anything I think the mutual okays with their heads together is the real finale of the fic. They are both, finally, on the same page. But just in case that wasn't perfectly clear Iroh wants to make sure. He's learned his lesson about kissing someone and not following up about what it meant.

we are not our demons (18/24) - bruce wayne x batmom

Gif source: jokerous
Author's note: SHIT'S ABOUT TO GET REAL, BITCHES! instantly regrets the endearment A lot of things will be happening this chapter, so you'd better strap in, I'm serious. This chapter is actually longer than I expected, lol. It's one of the chapters I've been anticipating the most and therefore was most afraid to write.
This is the first time I did a Nolan/Tarantino and just switched the chronological timeline, but this time it was deliberate. I had big issues starting this off (what else is new?), so I just changed it up a bit.
Please excuse me using some 'The Killing Joke' quotes and butchering the whole everything of that comic. [Read more at the end.]
Beta-read by Heidi.

Warning: language, violence, kinda dark themes

Hang my head
Drown my fear
‘Til you all just disappear
- Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden -
“Gotta say, weirdest feeling ever being invited into Arkham,” Dick’s voice reverberated through the comms with an equal blend of weirded-out and teasing.
Behind her glasses, Ellie’s eyes narrowed when Dick’s blue-and-black superhero outfit came into view on the next CCTV camera. She tilted her head. “Are you walking on tiptoes right now?”
Dick’s lone figure tensed briefly and continued walking with a flatter stride, but ultimately his shoulders remained strained. “I was a circus artist. Learned ballet and stuff,” Dick defended with a calm voice.
“Please keep off the comms unless it’s important. Don’t get sidetracked,” Bruce’s modulated voice echoed in her ears with a deep timbre.
Someone meant business.
Ellie pressed her lips together to ward off her blushing cheeks. Perhaps she was getting ahead of herself due to her nerves and the excitement for tonight’s mission. “Check,” she conceded and studied the available cameras for the asylum, but Batman’s shape still remained to be seen. Judging from his tracker, he was in the elevator shaft getting closer to the crème de la crème of the place.
“Are we sure it’s tonight, Batman?” Damian asked dubiously and brought them back to the mission preparation they just had before in the Batcave.
“Wait, run that by me again.” Ellie licked her lips and felt herself blinking furiously at what Bruce just revealed impromptu.
He sent her a furtive glance when he jostled the phone prototype amid the quiet hum of the elevator leading its inhabitants down to the basement.
“What did that guy say exactly?”
His eyes paused on her, with his eyebrow lifted high on his forehead. “You mean verbatim?”
“Why don’t you start by revealing who that was on the Bat-phone?”
Other than his throat clearing, Bruce remained unfazed when he spoke, “I got someone in the inside of the asylum. He told me the patients have been acting restlessly as of late.”
Ellie merely pursed her lips and a crease formed on her forehead at the absurdity of that one confession.
Dick stated, “Okay, most eerie sentence ever,” and let his finger point in the air to share his playful opinion.
“I concur wholeheartedly,” Ellie agreed with a swaying head before a sigh left her lips. “And here I thought I’d get a more challenging task than the Asylum’s defense.”
“There is more than just Arkham Asylum out there. Trust me,” Bruce replied with an indulgent smirk.
Ellie’s shoulders dropped in accepting disappointment. “Alright.”
As soon as everyone filtered into the cave, Ellie could get to work. After a combination of soft keystrokes, the monitors came to life.
Damian was silently watching the live footage of an athletic Harley Quinn doing slow and relaxing Yoga poses. At the moment she was cultivating an elaborate handstand that would make Ellie envious if she wasn’t this distracted by more important matters.
Bruce nodded to himself, having made up his mind for their mission. “It’s tonight. It has to be.”
“Wait, what’s with this mood lighting?” Dick’s head whipped around, almost like he was noticing the atmosphere for the first time. His voice reached her ears in a mischievous lilt.
Ellie glanced up from her position to be more aware of her surroundings. Dick managed to wrap that truth with a shroud of playfulness once he had his first impression of the modified cave.
Just like Bruce had promised, Alfred had dimmed the lights considerably until the fluorescence was no longer blinding. It even astonished and left her heart aflutter. Not to mention seeing a few technical adjustments to their hideout.
There was always this fascination seeing new technology within her grasp. Especially when she moved towards the object that had the impression of a normal—if not pricey-looking—table standing in the middle of their base. Her fingers reverently touched the milk glass, almost like she could feel being in the presence of high tech, only to see a ripple effect forming underneath.
The words ‘Welcome Miss Rhodes’ conjured next to her right.
Ellie didn’t know whether to feel freaked out or mesmerized by this tech’s high prowess in knowing her identity.
“I adapted the tech to fit your needs.”
Behind her, the soothing warmth of Bruce’s body resembled that of a shield originating from her right side. Ellie’s mesmerized gaze moved away from the touchscreen display to shift over towards the new presence.
Before she could continue asking, Bruce explained like he had been reading her mind, “It’s linked to a satellite of Wayne Enterprises. We call it the Satellite Intelligence and Gravitational Network of Artificial Level. S.I.G.N.A.L. for short.”
“You have a satellite?” Her head turned in surprise before she muttered quietly, “Of course, you have a satellite.” Ellie shook her head in disbelief. “I can’t believe you just gifted me a satellite.”
Bruce shrugged with a quiet sigh. “The one we had to rebuild after Superman destroyed it, yes. And it’s a satellite link.”
The boys seemed to have noticed their exchange when—like a kid on Christmas awaiting their presents—Dick’s laser-focused glance switched over to her new toy.
“Oh dang, holy Batman!” he exclaimed before his emotional outburst morphed into a reverential murmur the closer he ventured towards them. “New gadgets,” Dick murmured with an awe-filled voice.
“Just for the HQ.” Bruce barely tamed his son’s elation with the lift of an eyebrow.
Dick shrugged haphazardly at that. “I don’t mind. Just so you know, my escrima sticks could use an upgrade too, you know?” It was hard to imagine how his pout could rival Tim’s. “An extra kick would be nice, y’know what I mean?”
Ellie didn’t see Bruce’s reaction, but his long sigh was the familiar epitome to Dick’s playful ideas, or maybe just the weariness of parenthood had been creeping up on him. Listening quietly, Ellie’s brows lifted high on her forehead. Half curious about their conversation and half expectant to get to their nightly mission.
“We’ll see,” Bruce mumbled, crossing his arms over his chest. “Maybe Alfred could try his hand at that,” he offered with a contemplative expression.
Dick’s arrogant pout was perfectly in sync with his head nodding in understanding.
Bruce’s eyes met Damian’s expectantly, whose arm leaned with a devil-may-care attitude against the edge of the table. Ellie absolutely loved this state-of-the-art technology. It was one of the reasons why her eyes lingered with deep fascination on the interface display slowly coming to life, and not Bruce’s response.
“Anything else to add to the shopping list, Damian?”
“I could use a flamethrower,” the young one replied with a blank expression, and kept going once he met the anticipating faces of his father and Ellie riveted on him. Damian pursed his lips in contemplation, racking his brain on how to indulge his lethal instincts.
“Too much? A taser?” Rapid-fire suggestions left his mouth when he was met with reluctance. “Something small to electrocute my enemies with? Like, let’s say … how does 300,000 Volt sound?”
His father’s eye twitched at the blatant display of just pure violence. Dick gazed at Damian while hugging his body with a cocked hip. “How about overkill?”
“You could incapacitate someone with that.”
“Maybe that’s the point.”
“How much AMP?”
"3.6 milliamp."
Bruce paused in thought before consenting ultimately. “Alright. But the moment someone loses their memory, we’ll adjust.”
“Fine.” Damian’s lips thinning was the only facial gesture revealing his emotions to that compromise.
“Wonderful.” Ellie lightly clapped her hands together to move things along. Her sideways glance met Bruce when she inquired, “Back to the task?”
He nodded briefly before saying, “Yes.”
At first, the modern technology was something to get used to. But Ellie still adored the integrative innovation—it just needed a few minutes to connect to the Batcomputer. The files she was looking for slowly pulled up when she swiped the blueprint of Arkham Asylum to the main screen of the milk glass surface.
“This might seem familiar to you, guys,” Ellie surmised once everyone had a good view of the access points.
“As of now, we have been formally invited to Arkham Asylum,” Bruce’s declaration sounded ominous enough as it was.
Ellie’s head nodded in severity while Dick’s blue eyes settled on the visual illustration and his hands braced against his hips. “What’s the game plan?”
“Damian and I go ahead. Dick, you’re following behind on the bike. We go in through the back entrance. Go in separate directions and cover as much ground as possible.”
Damian furrowed his eyebrows in concentration. “Divide and conquer,” he hummed, nodding carefully.
Ellie sent him a crooked smirk as her brown eyes twinkled in delight. “Someone’s really digging that strategy.”
Shrugging his shoulders, Damian explained, “What can I say? I deeply admire Caesar’s techniques.”
Dick’s eye moved confusedly in his sockets. “Why doesn’t that surprise me?” he muttered under his breath.
Bruce cleared his throat to get them back on track. “As I was saying, we move quickly. And always notify our status over the comms. Quinn is kept in the East Wing, in one of the maximum containment cells.”
Ellie only had one thing to add. “Not to mention, deemed highly dangerous. Security thought she’d incentivize people into riots if they kept her just in the violent ward with the others.”
Damian merely nodded in consent while Dick remained mild-mannered, and replied, “Duly noted.”
“Suit up,” Bruce commanded with an authoritative voice, leaving no room for objections.
“Yes,” Bruce offered, not leaving room for any argument. “Status on Quinn?”
“I’m sorry, but if you request contact to the command center of this Bat-Lair, you’re gonna have to use the designated code name.”
Bruce’s loud sigh made her lips twitch and judging by the snickers emanating from Dick and Damian, they too agreed with teasing Bruce just for a little bit. Several seconds passed, prompting Ellie to patiently raise her eyebrows and wonder if he was going to cave.
Bruce coughed before he finally uttered through clenched teeth, “Aether, tell me the status on Harley Quinn.”
“What’s with that look?”
Bruce tilted his head in fascination. “I don’t know. Maybe I was really afraid you’d still choose Lady Pumpkin.”
Ellie shrugged her shoulders. “Hey, Lady Pumpkin Patch, if I may. Besides, didn’t want to use my former grey hat hacker name—I mean, not that I would ever dabble in something like that.”
“Sure.” He pursed his lips mockingly with a nod. “How long did it take you to find the right alias?”
Ellie licked her lips, remembering all the possibilities and how most of them were either outlandish or already taken. Mentally, she pumped her clenched fist in frustration.
Damn you, Spectre.
“There were definitely some lists.”
“Why Aether then?”
“It originated from Greek mythology.”
Bruce hummed in acknowledgment. “Primordial deity.”
Ellie’s eyes widened in amazement at his lightning-fast intellect but admonished herself just as fast. Why was she still surprised by this man’s deep knowledge? “Exactly. The Aether is the epitome of the upper sky and basically the pure upper air that the Gods breathe.” Ellie shrugged her shoulders, feeling self-conscious all of a sudden. “Maybe I just like the idea of being your eye in the sky.”
Ellie could feel Dick’s presence behind her, especially when he used the back of her revolving chair she was sitting on as a support for his arms. Dick was leaning against it and casually steered her movements out of sheer amusement.
“I think it’s great,” Dick threw in and instantly managed to soothe her worries of sounding cheesy when she threw her head back to send him a grateful smile.
A certain someone sounded close to growling.
Ellie shut off her comm line to giggle to herself before she got serious again when she answered, “In her cell. Doing the plank pose…” Her eyes lingered in enthrallment on the woman’s steady core training while she was holding herself up with the underside of her arm. “Quite expertly if I do say so myself,” Ellie muttered under her breath.
“I’ll report to you when there are new status updates.”
“Ditto.”
Ellie exhaled loudly, shutting off her audio. This night turned out to be even more stressful than she anticipated. Her arms stretched out in front of her when a hand brushed her shoulder.
“Oh, dear God!” Ellie shrieked and pressed a hand against her chest. The spot where she was touched shifted from ice-cold shock to a hot mark of mortification. Her eyes wandered to her right side before her breathing turned back to normal. “You’re such a Ninja-Alfred—don’t do that to me, okay?”
Alfred’s lips twitched at the coined name before his hands clasped together inches away from his stomach. “My deepest apologies for my stealthiness, Miss Ellie.”
“Accepted,” Ellie conceded with an exhaling breath.
Tim’s small figure stepped away from behind Alfred’s tall frame like he had been silently standing there all along—
someone had been learning from Damian after all—
and clasped his fingertips on the edge of the table while gazing at the computer display.
“Hey, Timmy,” came Ellie’s softly spoken words. It was hard to resist the urge to comb her hand through his hair—the intelligent boy always had this rumpled look to him. Who didn’t want to squeeze those pinchable cheeks?
“Hi, Ellie,” Tim replied with a barely audible voice. His moss-green eyes met hers for a fragment of a second before they were lingering on Harley’s hands talking to each other.
“I thought Master Tim here needed a breath of fresh air from one of his binge-reading sessions, as the young kids like to call it,” Alfred thankfully answered her unspoken question. “We’re not here to disrupt your progress. This young gentleman wants to observe my chore of upgrading equipment.”
Ellie’s head tilted to look at the side of Tim’s face. “Someone’s turning into a young Alfred, huh?” she praised the boy before she was forced to shift her focus back to the task she was initially assigned for. “Sorry, guys, gotta devote my time to some clowns for a bit, alright?”
“Proceed. We’ll be right around the corner at the workstation,” Alfred offered with the wave of his hand and stepped backwards, prompting Tim to move ahead. The small kid’s movements were awkward and slow-paced when his footsteps thudded lightly on the ground.
“Can I hold the screwdriver, Alfred?” he inquired curiously when he placed the wooden stool near his feet and elevated himself to a higher level.
“I need steady hands though. You think you can be my little assistant?”
Tim quietly nodded, with his eyes already focusing on the shock gloves needing another upgrade.
With a smile tugging on her lips, Ellie shifted her body back until she was facing the Batcomputer again.
“Robin, what’s your status?”
Silence followed Batman’s order. A predicament which made Ellie’s head do a double-take. Taking the second monitor to her advantage, the tips of her fingers pressed fluidly against the keypad to access the GPS tracker in the Robin suit.
Ellie frowned with an intense aura once Damian’s location became visible. “I can trace Robin’s position back to the hallway close to the containment cells.”
Before her alert status was even fully articulated, Batman’s figure rushed through the air on the security footage.
“I thought we were supposed to talk to each other,” Dick mused grumpily.
A statement which incited Bruce to retort with a growling voice, “Just focus on the task at hand.”
Deep suspicion throbbed at the back of her head when Harley looked straight ahead, with her blue eyes staring intensely at something behind the containment glass. The woman was standing so close to the barrier that it was hard to distinguish which kind of emotions boiled behind those ocean eyes. Menace was radiating in waves off of her.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, a masked Joker goon stepped into view, with his back turned towards her. Chills erupted on her forearms when the clown slowly turned his head until he was looking directly into the camera.
Disgust coiled her stomach into knots as she groaned, “Screw this Purge shit.”
Someone coughing barely reached her senses. “Everything alright there, Miss Rhodes?”
“Just splendid, Alfred,” Ellie replied instantaneously before she let her fingers do their hacker magic. Her brown eyes strained vehemently on the heat signature painting a vivid picture of the threat ahead.
“I detect about a dozen hostiles. Get ready, it’s starting.”
“Understood,” Bruce replied with an ominous voice after a moment of silence.
Tension wreaked through her body when she switched between the camera channels, but unfortunately the Joker was a no-show and only his crazy thugs roamed the halls without a care in the world. Not to mention, no sign of Damian either.
Ellie’s hand covered her clenched fist which shielded her mouth. “Please, be alright,” she whispered into her palms in a prayer. “I’ve sent you Robin’s location to the tracer device. You’re about 500 feet away from him.”
“We’ll find him,” the caped crusader assured her.
“Is that you, Batman?” The notoriously high voice resounded in her ears.
Ellie’s head whipped in the air once she connected the guffawing nature of the sound with the origin. She held her breath as the sensation of ants crawling underneath her skin made the extent of her worst fears for tonight’s mission come to fruition.
Son of a bitch.
With a gradual sweep, Ellie’s eyes shifted to the left side of the screen and identified the transforming waveform of the communication link next to the codename ‘Robin’. The muscles surrounding her mouth stiffened at the Joker’s violation.
“Why won’t you talk to me, Batsy?” Joker said after heavy silence hung in the air.
All-consuming tenacity infiltrated her veins like a parasite when her upper body shifted into a more agile stance. “I’ve opened a separate channel. Joker has access to our line with the help of Robin’s radio device. Keep him talking. I still have no visual on Joker or Robin yet.”
“Got it,” Dick stated hurriedly over the radio. “En route from the Southeast corridor.”
The clown’s voice was starting to grate on her ears. “I know you’re in here. If I didn’t know better, I’d say you’ve been desperate to get in touch with me. Is something the matter, Batsy?”
“Stop playing games, Joker,” Batman grunted lowly as his blinking dot got increasingly closer to the younger vigilante, and hopefully their target as well.
“And take all the fun away?” He giggled with a demented air that didn’t fail to leave shivers down her spine. “You’re just as humorless as this little bird here.” Joker’s pregnant pause gave way to something far more sinister lurking underneath.
“You have something to say to the good ol’ bat?” A humming noise reverberated from deep within his chest. “No, nothing to say? Looks like someone’s too stubborn for his own good. I got ways of making people talk,” Joker stressed every word of that last sentence with a ground whisper.
“Leave Robin out of this.”
“Why don’t you say that to my face? But first, you’ve got to find me,” he sing-songed devilishly.
Ellie’s eyes zeroed in on the scene she was witnessing when she leaned forward, pushing her glasses higher up the bridge of her nose. She whispered quietly into the microphone device, “I got visual on Robin and Joker. They’re on the platform leading to the containment cells.”
“All this attention just for little ol’ me? Tell me something, Batsy, when are you finally going to break your rules? You barely bent them for that little birdie. I wonder … how far are you willing to go for Commissioner Gordon’s niece?”
~ Bruce POV~
Bruce forced himself to remain calm in his composure as the halls surrounding him grew darker the closer he got to the blinking dot of his son. His jaw clenched at the reminder of Jason’s fate and the meaningless abuse on Barbara.
As much as Bruce wanted to release his inhibitions to hurt his nemesis in return, under no circumstances could he unveil his pressure point to him.
Bruce’s features twisted into a disgusted grimace. “You hurt Barbara … because you wanted to prove something? If you were half a man, you would stop being a coward and face me without hiding behind a child,” he enunciated the last word calmly despite the turmoil ravaging inside him. The dark cape swooshed near the ground behind him when he rounded the corner—
and faced the one thing he had been dreading for weeks on end.
Bruce sighed under his breath. Joker was standing on the opposite end of the bridge while his crazed thugs held Damian captive with the threat of using their firearms against him.
As usual, Damian was facing his opponents with a stubborn glare and a sharp jaw. Other than a red bruise forming on his cheek.
At last, Bruce’s eyes targeted the delighted expression in the Joker’s bright green-eyed gaze. His purple glove-covered hands stretched out in a flamboyant attitude on each side, a golf club clenched tightly in one glove. “Well, here I am,” the green-dyed man giggled from afar. “And it looks like I found another Robin.”
Bruce stopped in his tracks when the words he heard from a distance echoed like a haunting trigger in his ears as well. Stretching out his gloved fingers, he resisted the urge to create some friction at his fingertips and reveal another weakness. Not necessarily an outcome Bruce preferred in the grand scheme of things.
Disappointment was the predominant expression on his face when the Joker shook his head, dropping his hands at his waist. “Not the welcome I expected.”
“How did you expect me to react exactly?”
“Grateful,” he hissed with a menacing whisper, “I’m trying to open your eyes here, but you make it so much harder than it needs to be.”
“Keep him talking,” Ellie’s whispering voice said in his ear softly and calmed his thudding heart, “Nightwing is right underneath you and will act on your signal.”
Bruce’s gaze swerved to Damian’s right and subtly hummed in consent.
“I’m listening. What do you want to show me?”
“Your true self. Don’t you realize that all it takes is one bad day to reduce the sanest man alive to lunacy?” Like the thought itself was hilarious, his voice pitched even higher. “That’s how far the world is from where I am. Just one bad day. You had a bad day once. Surely, you must have. You had a bad day, and it drove you as crazy as everybody else… only you won’t admit it!”
This psychology lesson was starting to grate on his nerves the longer he had to listen to Joker’s delusions, especially since he couldn’t control his son getting even more hurt the further this was prolonged.
“Barbara was innocent in all of this.”
“She was necessary. A means to an end to the grand play.”
Every single word he uttered was pulled apart with a growling sensation. “Let. Robin. Go.”
Joker’s erratic scream echoed through the asylum, “As soon as you finally admit it!” before the sound transformed into maniacal laughter. “That we’re the same.” His hands hid behind his back as he casually walked around Damian’s body when he tried to prove his point. The threatening glint of the metal shone under the asylum’s lights. “Only I realized that nothing made sense—that code of yours, of value, of morality—it means nothing. You think those rules are protecting people?”
A twisted smirk drew on his curved lips as an icy expression took over his eyes. “When I saw what a dark, awful joke the world was, I went crazy as a nut! And I’m smart enough to admit it! So why can’t you!?” The green in his eyes only intensified with the crazed look. “You’re clinging to this reality, and you’re desperately denying the reality of the situation! Everything anybody’s ever valued or struggled for—it’s all just a bad joke.”
God, that guy needed psychological help.
The shoulders in his dark-purple suit shook with erupting chuckles that grew with intensity at the mere idea. “So why can’t you see the funny side!? WHY AREN’T YOU LAUGHING!!??”
“We are not the same,” Bruce replied calmly.
Joker exhaled loudly. “You disappoint me, Batman,” he muttered gravely. Before long, his face turned dark as he slowly lifted his head and sent him a diabolical glance from under his eyelashes.
“Don’t you see?” The gloves squeaked with its movement when his grip tightened on the metal equipment. “You’re just one bad day away from being me,” Joker breathed with exertion before whooping laughter wrenched free from his chest.
“Woohoohoo,” he exclaimed gleefully and swung his golf club, striking behind him.
“No!” Bruce’s voice scrambler contorted his outcry when his eyes widened.
~ Ellie POV ~
Tears gathered in the corner of Ellie’s eyes. Her palms covered her mouth in shock to ward off the scream in mid-cry. Soundless static rang in her ears at the horrifying video revealing the pained expression underneath Damian’s mask as he was brought to his knee, holding his arm to his chest.
Robin’s health stats were displayed above his audio waveform. His heartbeat intensified at the added injury, giving off bouts of anxiety.
“Damian,” Ellie heard behind her quietly. With a stricken face, the brunette stood up from her seat and detected Tim was standing behind her—and closer than she first realized.
Her back shielded most of the Batcomputer from any onlookers, but the boy still had seen enough. Her eyes wandered towards Alfred’s concerned gaze and hoped he understood what she was asking for here. “Alfred, could you—?” she begged with a thick voice.
“Certainly, Miss Ellie,” Alfred assured her and moved in the direction of Tim.
Ellie pleaded with him, “I’m sorry, I wouldn’t do that if—”
Alfred nodded once before soothing her worries. “Nothing to worry about. We’ll be on the floor below.”
Tim’s widened eyes looking back tore at her heartstrings. But unfortunately, Ellie needed to jump in the cold water again, she realized, when she sat in the chair. Her fingers were shaking nervously above the keyboard, feeling too stunned to react. The edges of her sight blurred with a throbbing pulse until she clenched her hands into fists. Trying to fend off the chill which had taken root in her body.
After a moment’s hesitation, Ellie worked on accessing the asylum’s power grid. Her heart only hammered more vigorously in her chest at witnessing Joker deliver a blow over the head when he was lying defenselessly on the platform.
Jesus. Ellie absolutely was starting to loathe this retro network.
“Wouldn’t it be a shame if this one endured the same fate as its predecessor? You love birds with broken wings, don’t you?”
She frowned deeply in perplexed stupor when Batman wasted no time in utilizing the grappling hook—generally intended for scaling walls—
and targeted the Joker’s throat. With the flick of his wrist the criminal was dragged like an accelerated magnet towards him. The tips of Joker’s feet crawled on the metal grid underneath before a hard punch so powerful sent him flying over the ledge. Without glancing back, Batman dropped the hook, letting the end of it anchor on the edge of the railing. A dangling Joker was gasping for breath and clawing for his throat.
Nightwing sprinted under the metal overpass and spoke incredulously on comms, “That was supposed to be the signal? Really?”
“We need to get the Joker. Just keep Robin safe,” Ellie reminded Dick with intense fervor.
His black-and-blue suit jumped from underneath and with a somersault kicked an assailant in the face before landing on his feet. “On it.”
Despite the grievous injuries, Damian tried his best to fend for himself when his stepbrother came to his defense, fighting together back-to-back.
The sound of quick keystrokes was a dull diversion thumping at the back of her head when her brain tried to comprehend her viewpoint. The mess of everything was truly starting to gnaw at Ellie once Bruce’s rigid stature stalked towards the ledge.
Ambiguity marred her features as soon as her eyes switched between Joker’s hollering face—notwithstanding the life-threatening situation he was in—and Bruce just silently staring at him with a blank face. The corners of her mouth twisted with torn emotion as Joker lifted his arm in surrender, pleading with Batman to be saved.
“Is this really how you want this to end, Batsy?” he taunted with a wheezing murmur.
This was seriously getting out of hand, Ellie perceived numbly.
The electric grid was laid in front of her eyes, including the code to initiate a lockdown. At the last second, Ellie opted for a lockout instead of merely a power grid outage to keep everyone contained. She felt close to tasting her success when the blueprint glared red before an error alert displayed ‘Electricity outage initiated’.
“What?” Ellie hissed, throwing her hands in the air in utter dismay. Her gaze twisted back to the live footage and found the asylum doused into darkness.
“What was that?” Batman’s voice inquired urgently.
“That wasn’t me,” she spoke into the microphone defensively. “You’ll get power back in a few seconds,” Ellie confided in them as her fingers entered its new command into the network. She closed her eyes in immense failure after studying the asylum halls and knowing the one thing for sure she had suspected.
The Joker had already disappeared.
Ellie’s breath released with a long exhale. Her hands were tightened into fists. Her jaw was clenched while she was trying with all her might to keep her cry of frustration in. With her wide eyes and mouth agape, she was facing the screen. Feeling so empty in a way she had never felt before.
“I didn’t do this,” she stated with a dazed sensation in her chest and pressed her lips together.
Her body was operating on auto-pilot when she called in everyone for a mission debrief. Everyone except Dick who stayed behind to placate the executives at Arkham Asylum.
Ellie’s jaw hardened once this unfamiliar code was branded into her eyeballs. She rubbed the heel of her hand against her closed eyelids. Ellie just felt so drained, like she had persisted through the end of a therapy session.
A heavy exhale pushed through her chest when she stood up, only for her breathing to pick up as well. Ellie’s eyes didn’t meet anything in particular with her head bowed down.
With great and surprising finesse, her voice sounded without emotion when she called out, “I need some fresh air, okay, Alfred? The others will arrive in 15 minutes.”
Her unfocused eyes stared right ahead while Alfred said in return, “Duly noted, Miss Ellie.”
Her gait was unhurried and Ellie stroked the tips of her fingers together when she was struggling to understand why her heart started thudding in her ears while quiet tears crept in the corner of her eyes.
Why was it so hard to keep everything together?
Furiously, Ellie shook her head as the familiar walls of the corridor met her eyes. The fingertips of her right hand brushed against the wall to hold onto something as long as she wanted to remain conscious. Inhaling deep breaths turned out to be a mistake when her breathing stuttered with nervous energy. With every inhale and exhale, Ellie got closer to the entrance door of the manor—she could almost taste that whiff of relief.
She breathed out as soon as the biting air occupied her lungs. Stepping out onto the front entryway, Ellie’s hands vigorously brushed her wool cardigan, feeling grateful for the autumn chill.
Trying to find something—just anything to hold onto—her head anxiously swerved around. Every breath was starting to hurt. Even breathing in was a struggle not to break down. Hot tears only intensified the bout of frustration swelling up, threatening to swallow her whole. Ellie’s chest rose irregularly with every breath as her hands settled on her hips. Burning teardrops streamed relentlessly down her cheeks and it felt just so useless.
Damian’s anguished eyes flashing through her mind was the last and only thought taking over before control was an inconceivable sentiment.
Ellie’s hands were clenched into fists while she crouched low to her knees. A long wailing cry of despair pierced through the night sky until there was no longer any air left in her lungs. Until her vocal cords felt sore. Ellie’s chilling and stuttering breath was visible in front of her very eyes. A savage emotion lit up in those orbs when her breathing returned back to normal.
However, her lungs were still scorching ceaselessly.
Tumblr media
“What was that?” Bruce’s cowl was still covering his face when he energetically jumped out of the Batmobile. His hardened jaw was the only thing she saw underneath that mask. His partial expression stood in frightening contrast when he walked briskly into the lair.
Ellie was still sitting behind the Batcomputer while her absentminded eyes followed Alfred helping a bruised Damian step out of the vehicle. There was a twinge in her chest just looking at him.
“There was another hacker tonight,” Ellie revealed numbly, just recalling that unexpected invasion hurt her pride enough. Something in Bruce’s eyes stood out to her. Ellie’s expression turned shocked. “You don’t believe me? I intended to initiate a lockdown and not a power outage. I meant to keep everyone contained. Not only that, but I mean, we still got Harley Quinn.”
“That’s all we got.” Bruce’s chest rumbled with emotion as another failure hit him. “We’ve got no guarantee that Joker is going to come after her again just for the fun of it.”
Alfred and Tim flanked Damian’s side when the older brother sent a silent but concerned glance towards him.
“You good?” Tim asked him with a low whisper and tilted his head in doing so.
A question to which Damian merely nodded briskly, without uttering a single word to display what he was currently feeling. The bruises on his forehead and cheek were starting to darken. Ellie believed there was more to the mask Damian was shielding behind to cover up the vulnerability, he would under no circumstances put on display.
Damian spoke up for the first time, “What’s done is done. We need to think about another strategy and regroup.”
A feeling of gratefulness hit her instantly that this kid was trying to alleviate budding tension which soon shifted into regret once her inquiring gaze lingered on the consequences of tonight. The Joker got him good—Ellie was honestly surprised how Damian was still standing upright.
Her eyes wandered back to Bruce again, worried about the effects the Joker left behind on all of them. “Do you want to talk about what just happened?”
“You mean that Damian sustained grave trauma or that I hesitated when Joker hung over the ledge?”
Ellie’s body winced at Bruce’s frankness that bordered on scathing. “He was trying to push you over the edge and there was a part of you that at least considered it.”
His eyes narrowed as his arms crossed over his chest, getting ready to push back. “You want to talk about my misgivings, that’s fine, but don’t forget that you let someone else get the better of you.”
Ellie’s features turned to stone when Bruce managed to hit the one spot she was still sore about. She was the only one who could put herself down due to her struck pride. Mortification heated up in her belly as the fight for control was hard enough, but she barely reined it in.
Alfred chose this moment to tame any more tension-filled conversations. “If I may say, I believe we all need to take a breather and get a good night’s sleep.”
Ellie could feel Bruce’s heavy stare on her while he was mutely just looking at her without saying anything.
“You’re probably right,” Bruce replied, sending the older man a brief glance before he walked off without another word.
Exhaling heavily, Ellie stared after him with unsaid emotions as her back sagged in her seat. She let a strained smile draw on her lips when her eyes met Damian’s again. “Let’s get you patched up, huh?”
The youngest Wayne child was escorted a floor below to the med bay. For the first time, his features twisted into a pained grimace once he was lying down on the operating table.
Wordlessly, Ellie’s eyes studied his injuries, and the young woman could feel her heart tear into pieces.
This was just so unfair.
Her inner upheaval must’ve shown on her expression when Damian’s chocolate-brown eyes met hers. The first droplets of sweat gathered above his eyebrows.
“I’ll survive,” he whispered with a tense voice, already understanding the inner thoughts she was stuck with.
And the tears were back in her eyes.
She forced a comforting smile on her face as much as it pained her to muster it up and nodded. Iron resolve settled in her bones the longer Ellie gazed at him. Damian might see himself as utterly wicked, but to her the young one was an innocent child who didn’t deserve this kind of pain. Only because of a man who wanted to corrupt the people around him.
Ellie ground her teeth as her decision was made final.
No more.

A/N: The following code names were in the run: Overlord, Nemesis, Corvus, Zero-Day and Grey Hat. To be honest, I wanted the alias to sound dope and have a profound meaning at the same time. Overlord would've been only cool because of the Led Zeppelin reference, lol.
Small trivia about Aether: he embodies the pure upper air that the gods breathe, as opposed to the normal air breathed by mortals. I chose Aether because Ellie's literally the eye in the sky, and I didn't want to steal "Watchtower" from Smallville.

Pearl Necklace | Lee Bodecker x reader
(sort of an epilogue to the wrong idea, but once again, you don’t really need to read the series to know what’s going on.  in fact, if you read the series but didn’t read any of the epilogue blurbs I did for that then this is gonna be just as random lol)
summary: your husband has a special present to give you this christmas.
word count: 1.6k
warnings: smut!! (oral m receiving), slapping, a touch of degradation, some housewife kink, discussions of breeding kink, but also some fluff in there first!!
Tumblr media
“Santa!” Beatrice and Penny cheered in unison as they tackled Lee dressed in costume.  You had been afraid they would recognize him at first; now you were slightly worried what it meant that they didn’t notice it was their own father behind the fake white beard.
Lee was fully into his character, though, ‘ho ho ho’-ing as he set down his bag of presents to sit down and let the girls jump into his lap on the couch.
“Did you come all the way from the North Pole?” Beatrice asked curiously, while Penny immediately became distracted by the shiny silver belt buckle resting at his stomach.
“Yes I did,” Lee answered, “just to see you.”  He accented the last word by tapping Beatrice on the nose with his gloved finger, who blushed and giggled.  “You’ve been a good girl this year,” he explained, “which means I have a very important question to ask you: what do you want for Christmas, little miss?”
“I want another sister!” she announced firmly.  Lee had put a little bit of your rouge on (because Santa has rosy cheeks and all), but his cheeks were naturally reddening now.
“You’ll, uh, have to ask your mother about that,” he decided as he cleared his throat.
“Pleeeease Santa?” Beatrice whined.  “It’s what Penny wants too!”
“Is that so?” Lee stammered, turning to Penny who nodded.
“Pwease, Mister Santa?” she concurred.  “We wan’ another sister to pway wif…”
“You two are conspiring with each other now, is that it?  You’re both asking for only one thing?”
They nodded in unison and Lee’s gaze drifted to you.
“Is that not the sort of thing elves can make at the North Pole?” you asked him with a smirk.
“Not exactly,” he chuckled.  He addressed the girls again, who were waiting impatiently for an answer to their request.  “I’ll see what I can do,” he offered, “but how about you two open the presents I brought you for now instead.”
“Fank you Mister Santa!” Penny beamed, giving him a little hug before crawling to the floor and rifling through the bag of wrapped boxes he’d brought for them.
//
With the girls finally put to bed, you were surprised to see Lee still partially in costume— the beard was gone as he nursed a beer, but he still had on the big red coat and pants, and most noticeably, the hat.
“Girls are asleep,” you informed him as you circled the couch.  He only nodded and patted his knee; you obliged as you dutifully sat on his lap, his arms wrapping around your waist, smiling up at you.  You could recognize that glimmer in his eyes from a mile away.  “Have I been a good girl this year?” you asked quietly.
“Yes,” he whispered, “you’re my perfect girl— such a sweet, obedient little wife, hm?”
You fiddled with the buckle at his waist for a moment, chewing your lip.  “I try to be.”
He just looked up at you silently, moving his tongue inside his cheek like he did when he was thinking about something.
“Are we gonna give Penny and Bea what they asked for?” you broke the silence, trying to keep your voice neutral though you felt your eyebrow raise of its own accord.
“You know we are,” he grinned.  “We can start tryin’ tomorrow— right now I have another present to give you.”
“What is it?”
“Why don’t we go to the bedroom and I’ll show you?” he offered.
You were trying not to get too excited as he followed you to the bedroom, shutting the door behind the both of you and pulling you into his arms.
“Lee,” you sighed as he started to kiss your neck, making your hands clench and tug at the fuzzy red coat of his costume.  He knew exactly the spot that made your head fall back and your lip catch between your teeth, smiling against your skin as you melted into his embrace so easily.
“Gonna give you your present now, pretty girl,” he whispered against your skin.  “Don’t you think every good wife deserves a pearl necklace?”
“Lee, you’ve already given me three different pearl necklaces,” you remembered as you gestured to your jewelry box.
“Dumb little baby,” he chuckled, making your cheeks burn with embarrassment.  “You’re too innocent for your own good sometimes, princess.  Not that kind of pearl necklace.”
“Wh-what kind do you mean?”
“I mean the kind where I cover those perfect tits of yours in my come.”
You swallowed thickly, your thighs clenching together.  “Oh.”
He only had to look at you now for you to know what he wanted.  You’d memorized his ‘bend over the counter’ look, his ‘hands and knees on the bed’ look, his ‘spread your legs so daddy can get a taste’ look.  You even knew the way his voice changed when he called you from work— a.k.a. the ‘be naked and ready when I get home’ voice.  Every glance was like an instruction, and you knew the stakes if you didn’t follow his instructions: the dreaded ‘I’ll take you on my knee and spank you until you can’t sit for a week’ look.
This, right now, was the ‘choke on my cock’ look.
“You make a very handsome Santa,” you informed him as you lowered to your knees.
“Ya think so?” he pressed.  “You don’t mind that I really can shake my belly like a bowl full’a jelly?”
You giggled at his reference to the old rhyme, shaking your head.  “No, I don’t mind that.”  You made sure he believed you by planting a few kisses on his stomach on your way down.
The thick velvet of the costume still wasn’t enough to conceal the shape of Lee’s hard cock underneath, making you salivate a bit as you licked your lips and reached under to grab the thick shaft.  Pulling it out, you found the head red and swollen, leaking a drop of precum which you savored as you swiped your tongue over his length.  He smiled down at you, brushing a bit of hair away from your face before gripping it near the scalp, not quite pulling yet but definitely encouraging you to take him into your mouth.
“Fuck,” he groaned as you closed your lips and sucked, swirling your tongue around the skin, “my good little wife, always getting on her knees for me… take it a little deeper, honey.”
Doing as he’d asked, you felt the tip hit the back of your throat and used your hand to cover the rest.  He groaned a little, his head falling back, and you wanted to smile with pride in yourself but suppressed it since this was hard to do while smiling.  You were getting quite aroused already, unsatiated pleasure burning between your legs and making your back arch slightly.
He moaned again, a little louder, and you repeated the motion that made him react so strongly.  It worked, and his hips bucked forward into your throat, his hand holding you steady by your hair so you couldn’t pull back.
“You like when I fuck your face, huh, princess?  Like daddy using your pretty little mouth?”
You moaned around him in lieu of a more articulate response, making him move a little more erratically.
“Stroke it faster, baby, I’m already gettin’ close,” he hissed, and you moved your hand over his length furiously along with twisting slightly as the wrist.  “Fuuuuck,” he sighed, “just like that, you’re so fuckin’ perfect, sweetpea.”
You reached down with your free hand to rub yourself through your panties, desperate for some friction on your clit which throbbed and begged for attention, but Lee instantly noticed and slapped your cheek, making you whine.
“Keep your hands where I can see ‘em,” he commanded, using his ‘Sheriff voice’ which only made your need greater as you moaned around him again.  He laughed at your desperation, slapping your face a few more times for good measure before suddenly pulling out and stroking his own cock.  “Open that dress, show me those pretty tits.”
You hastily unbuttoned the front of your dress, biting on your lip as you saw his cock was stained pink from your lipstick.  He always told you that was the best sign of a job well-done.  The second your dress was open you were pushing it off your shoulders, nearly ripping your bra as you popped it open and tossed it aside.  He groaned when your tits bounced free, and you noticed how hard your nipples were already even when they hadn’t been touched at all.
“‘M close,” he grunted, stroking his cock faster as you licked your lips, sighing as you remembered how incredible that cock felt when it was stretching you open and filling you up.  You didn’t get to see him come that often, usually you just felt it, and you always loved how it felt so it was a shame to miss out this time.
“Don’t look so sad, pretty girl, I know you want all this come inside you, don’t you?”  He chuckled condescendingly when you nodded.  “Well don’t worry, princess, tomorrow I’m gonna knock you up so good you’re gonna forget every word that isn’t ‘yes’ and ‘daddy’.”
“Yes, daddy,” you whimpered.
“Just like that,” he praised.  “Fuck, I’m close— ready for your present, baby?”
“Please, daddy,” you begged, moaning as his come shot in spurts onto your chest.  His face was so gorgeous when he came: flushed red, biting down on his lip, eyes half-lidded and staring right at you as he covered you in his seed.  You felt so dirty as he did it to you, but you loved it— so much, in fact, that you bit down on your lip to keep from getting too loud at the sensation of his hot come painting your tits.
He kept stroking until every drop was on you, sighing as he let go of his softening cock.  “Fuck,” he groaned, “you always look good in the presents I give you.”

Okay first off Hi!! I just found your Tumblr and I love your writing! So I wanted to request something. This may sound odd but a fic where the tesseract turns into a human? Lol... I was watching avengers and at the beggining Dr. Selvig referred to the tessrract as a her. (Reader doesn't have to be a female! Totally up to what your comfy with! But fluff or light smut. Maybe loki is possessive of them? Sorry if that was way to specific or not enough. I've never requested something before...So you totally can ignore this if it's bad. Thanks💓
A/N: Thank you so much for the compliments! I never thought about this scenario and I loved it! Your request can be as specific or vague as you want, depending on how much room for interpretation you want. Hope you like it :). I followed the Avengers plot, so Loki is in his underground base.
His Kjæreste 'Excuse me, WHAT?’ Loki roared. Are these midgardians going mad?
There was sweat breaking out on Dr. Selvig’s forehead. He trembled slightly when Loki raised his voice. ‘I- It’s.. We we’re done with building your weapon. And suddenly she changed’ Dr. Selvig tried to explain again.
‘She?’ Loki asked.
‘Yeah, the Tesseract suddenly changed into a woman’ Dr. Selvig answered.
Loki held his hand up, not interested in anything Dr. Selvig had to say. If Loki hadn’t put him under mind control he would have expected this to be a poorly executed plan. Now he wondered what chemical reaction in the lab had caused all his servants to imagine something ridiculous as this. He got up from his seat and quickly paced towards the lab. Dr. Selvig was stumbling behind him, trying to keep up.
The doors of the lab burst open right before Loki entered. What is magic for if not a dramatic entrance? he thought. Hoping it would remind his servants of the strength and power he holds. He scanned the lab with his eyes. There were two guards on either side of the door who visibly flinched, which made him smirk. Barton was in the middle of the lab, staring at the corner. She stood in the corner. A beautiful young woman, pushing herself against the wall in the hopes she would disappear. She tried to hide her facial expression under her wavy brown hair. When she looked at Loki he noticed her ocean blue eyes, eyes in which he could drown.
It took Loki a moment to realise the woman was naked. No wonder she is scared Loki thought. He saw that Barton had grabbed a lab coat from the chair and he was making his way over to the woman. Loki wasn’t having it. He practically sprinted towards Barton and pushed him aside. The woman watched this exchange curiously.
‘Everybody leave’ Loki growled. Without hesitation, every brainless servant quickly made their way outside. ‘Barton, close the door’ Loki added. When he heard the doors closing he turned his attention back to the woman, who was still cowering in the corner.
‘Relax, beautiful. I’m not going to hurt you’ Loki cooed as softly as he could. He slowly made his way over to the corner. The woman eyed him with slight fear, but he noticed the curious twinkle in her eyes. Loki let his eyes wander her body when he approached, not hiding that he liked what he saw. When he stood right before her he took off his leather jacket and helped her into it. She was hesitant but accepted. He zipped the jacked up, she was much smaller than him and it looked like a dress on her.
She flinched when Loki grabbed her chin. He made her look at him and he looked intensely in her eyes. Her eye colour was the bluest Loki had ever seen. It was hypnotizing. He didn’t question if this woman were the Tesseract, he could feel it. The amazing feeling of power that attracted Loki in the first place, was still emitting from her. He couldn’t help but inhale the scent of her hair. And he didn’t fail to notice that made her blush.
‘Interesting, I didn’t know you could change forms’ Loki said.
‘I don’t do it very often’ the beautiful woman whispered to him.
‘Hmm.. and do you have a name?’ Loki asked while his lips caressed her neck. The woman holds her head back, giving him better access. Her breathing has sped up and Loki could tell she was suppressing a moan.
‘No, just the Tesseract’ she answered.
‘That will not do, I’ll call you my Kjæreste for now’ Loki said.
With a snap of his fingers, the lab doors opened. Barton walked through but stopped halfway through the lab. ‘Sire?’ he asked.
‘Will you escort my Kjæreste to my room. After that I need you to find her some clothes and fetch her something to eat and drink’ he ordered Barton. ‘I will be with you shortly’ Loki told her and gave her a kiss on her cheek. When she giggled his whole face lit up, that was the most beautiful sound he had ever heard. He reluctantly pulled himself away from her and walked towards the exit. Right before he left he turned around. He saw that Barton had exchanged his hand, not clear of his intention Loki wasn’t having it.
‘The first person who touches her dies a very painful death by my own hand. That is not a threat, but a promise. Make sure everyone knows’ he said. He smirked when Barton quickly put his hand back down his side and made his Kjæreste follow him to his room. As much as Loki had wanted to escort her himself, he unfortunately had some things to work out before he could make his move on this pathetic little planet.
After an hour Loki was done and he walked back to his room. He was excited to see his Kjæreste in a beautiful green gown reading a book on the couch. When he entered she put her book away and smiled brightly at her. Before he could go to her there was a knock on the door. Loki opened the door to see one of his guards standing with a plate of food and a variety of drinks. The guard tried to peek over Loki’s shoulder to get a look at the woman. Loki quickly grabbed the plate and shoved the door back in his face. Apparently, he wasn’t the only person in the building drawn to her, but he is damned to let anyone else have her.
He walked towards her with the plate. ‘You hungry?’ he asked.
She nodded and got up from the couch to accept the food, but Loki had different plants. He sat on the couch and pulled her onto his lap in one motion. She gasped but giggled when he kissed her neck. He sat the plate on her lap and started to feed her a variety of finger food and drinks.
‘Why did you change your form if I may ask?’ he asked in between feeding her.
‘I thought this form might be more appealing towards you’ she blushed.
‘Hmm, I do like you in this form. But why now?’ Loki purred.
‘I saw your plans for this planet. Now that you have build your weapon I thought I could help you in other ways’ she answered.
‘Other ways?’ Loki asked suggestively, liking where this was going.
She nodded ‘I still have all my powers in this form. Why stop at one planet? We could take them all’ she said.
That took Loki back a bit. ‘You want to concur all the nine realms with me?’
‘Of course, you’re very powerful. And a king’ she said.
The wheels in Loki’s head were spinning. If she were willing to help him, they could take all the nine realms. She is connected to the other stones, he could get them before Thanos and take everything he deserved. And this while having a beautiful queen by his side. She looked questioningly at him when he didn’t answer.
‘Unless this is not what you want? I can revert back if that is what you prefer’ she said while averting his gaze.
Loki pulled her closer against him and started to cover her neck in bite marks. ‘You do no such thing. You’re MINE and I’m keeping you’ he growled.
After she had eaten enough he showed her around his base. He loved the way her arm linked with his and how she put her head against his upper arm sometimes. The word that Loki would kill everyone who touched her had gotten around quickly. Almost every man immediately averted their gaze when they saw her. Despite that, Loki made sure to mark her neck clearly for everyone to see. She didn’t seem to mind. Apparently, she was as drawn to him as he was to her. He couldn’t wait for tomorrow when the two of them would start to plot their schemes.
By the end of the night, he escorted her back to his room. Their room. He loved how she blushed when he pulled her close against him. Then Loki did something he wanted to do the first time he saw her. He gave a deep kiss, making her knees go weak. He supported her with his arms and walked her towards their bed. ‘I’m going to make you scream my name so loud, everyone on this planet will know you belong to me’ he growled. And he meant it. Nothing and nobody would ever take her away from him. His Kjæreste.

continued from here;
“Oh no,” the blonde points accusatory at him, not allowing him to have to upper hand. Not this time. “I see right through your games, Time Lord. I’ll never tell, not in another lap of your lifetimes--”
Tumblr media
She lets that simmer, really considers her next words... backtracks.
Tumblr media
“... Well, they’re for, erm,” she comes close, mumbles her answer into the Doctor’s ear, flushing progressively more red the more she unravels. What were friends for then unless it meant sharing some... lewd potential happenstances.

OH MY GOD I can’t even process GTTT3 yet ... you’re a genius. Patricio is a bastard. Reader is brave af lol
Thank you so much for reading!!!!
Tumblr media
I will concur that reader is a brave woman. She felt that the timing wouldn't get better and risked everything to try and better their situation together. It could have ended up badly (and almost did)! There are times when she certainly has more balls than I ever would.
But I wouldn't agree that Patricio is a bastard. He may not have handled things in the smartest order. He probably should have contacted her first before all the cancellations. But he's been falling for a while now, which means he's been conflicted and scared for a while. That can be stressful. And not reciprocating her confessions in the moment...he really thought he was protecting her. Because he knows he's not built for sexual monogamy and yet he has the ability to be romantically monogamous. That's a tough combo. He's tried it once already and it was a disaster. He really doesn't want to be hurt like that again or cause hurt...because he does truly care for her.
And I'll lay evidence against the claim of being a genius in that I had to take high school algebra over in college because I cannot wrap my head around graphing calculations and no matter how many times I bust my little toe open on that stupid wide concrete base on the support pillar in the basement, I just. never. learn. I have also cooked a turkey exactly once in my life; it was completely black on the outside and completely raw on the inside. How I accomplished this is still an unsolved mystery in my family to this day.

let's save the world
season one, episode seven
five hargreeves x reader
summary: you, five, allison, and diego go to find out who harold jenkins is and to try and stop him, but that mission is cut short when you see that five is hurt
trigger warnings: cursing, some angst(?)
word count: 3k
a/n: this one’s a bit shorter, so i apologize for that, but there wasn’t as much action in this episode so i worked with what i had. i guess since it came out way quicker, that kind of makes up for it lol. anywho, enjoy!
Tumblr media
“who the hell is harold jenkins?”
you watch as he throws the coffee cup behind him, dropping the briefcase to your side. “we don’t know.” five tells them, letting out a heavy breath.
“yet.” you quickly add on, running your fingers through your hair with a heavy sigh. “we don’t know who he is, yet.” you hoped three days would be enough to find out. “we do know that he’s responsible for the apocalypse. so we have to find him. and we have to do it now.”
“how is he connected to what’s going to happen?” luther asks, looking between the two of you. all of them were confused, and understandably so. after disappearing yesterday, you suddenly come back and know what to do to stop the end of the world. you would be confused too.
“we don’t know.” five says simply with a shrug of his shoulders. it was frustrating, not knowing anything but the name of who you needed to stop. there could be many harold jenkinses, all in their own little areas of the city. you only had three days to find out which one you needed to stop, though, and you couldn’t waste any of that time.
diego steps past his siblings, and you notice the sling holding his arm. that was new. “wait, so you only know this guy’s name?” he questions, “that’s it?”
“it’s all we need.” five responds, to which you nod in agreement.
diego isn’t so ready to believe you and just go with it. “there are probably dozens of harold jenkinses in this city.” pursing your lips at the obvious statement, you stay quiet for a moment.
“well, i guess we better start looking.” you breathe out, not wanting to deal with this any longer. it’s not like you have unlimited time to figure this out. you only had around seventy-two hours, and you weren’t even sure if that was enough.
allison crosses her arms over her chest, “i’m sorry, am i the only one that’s skeptical here?” she asks, everyone turning to look at her. “i mean, how exactly do you know all of this about what’s his name?”
“harold jenkins.” five reminds her, clearly just as annoyed as you. “you know those lunatics in masks who attacked the house?”
klaus scratches the back of his head, his nose scrunched up slightly. “oh, yeah, i think i remember those guys.”
“yeah, the ones that attacked us because they were looking for you guys.” diego says accusingly, nodding his head slightly. “and you know what? i have more questions about that night. specifically for you.” he points at you and you roll your eyes.
sighing heavily, you decide it would be best to just tell them everything to get it out of the way and stop wasting time. “fine,” you begin, stepping forward slightly, “i’m one of you guys. i’m pyrokinetic. which means i can control fire.” you look between them, lips pressed together into a thin line. “any questions?” diego is about to speak again but you cut him off, “no? okay, good. let’s get back to what’s actually important, yeah?”
“yes, that would be nice.” five agrees, leaning against the back of the couch. “those guys were sent by the temps commission to stop us from coming back and preventing the apocalypse.”
“the temps what?” allison asks, voicing the confusion that all of them had etched on their faces.
shaking your head, you begin to pace. “our former employer. they monitor all of time and space to make sure that whatever is meant to happen,” you pause for a moment, freezing your movement as you look to them, “happens.”
five nods, “they believe the apocalypse is coming in three days. so,” you begin your pacing once again, walking slowly around the couch, “we went to the commission headquarters and intercepted a message that was meant for the lunatics you met.”
“that message,” you tell them, sitting on the couch and facing them, “was what we gave you. ‘protect harold jenkins.’ if the commission wants him protected, he must be what causes the end of the world.”
it’s silent as the siblings look to the two of you, processing everything they had been told. then, all of a sudden, they all speak at once, asking too many questions to comprehend. the only thing that you really heard was allison’s remark about how insane all of this is.
“you know what else is insane?” five finally reached his breaking point, and you sigh softly as you hold your head in your hands. “we look thirteen again.” he simply says, “klaus talks to the dead, and luther thinks he’s fooling everybody with that overcoat.” he points at the two of them, before looking at all of them with narrowed eyes. “everything about us is insane. always has been.”
klaus lifts his head from the arm of the chair he’s sitting in, “he’s got a point there.”
ignoring the remark, five continues. “we didn’t choose this life.” he shrugs, “we’re just living it. for the next three days, at least.”
“the last time we tried to stop it, we all died.” allison argues, gesturing to the other siblings. “why is this time any different? why shouldn’t i go home to my daughter?”
groaning silently to yourself, you stand back up, “what’s different this time,” you speak through gritted teeth, “is that you have us.” you gesture between yourself and five, “we know what we’re doing, and we have the name of the guy we have to stop.”
“we have the chance to save the lives of billions of people.” five tells them, looking to allison. “including claire.”
there’s a moment of silence once again, and allison furrows her eyebrows. “you know her name?”
“i do.” he responds, nodding slightly. “i’d like to live long enough to meet her.”
looking between luther and diego, allison slowly nods as well. “alright. let’s get this bastard.”
diego also seems to be convinced. “you had me at gerald jenkins.” you roll your eyes at his mistake.
“harold. harold jenkins.” you correct, raising an eyebrow at him.
he shakes his head, “whatever. i’ve already lost two people this week. i’m not losing anyone else.”
“yes!” you cheer, raising a fist in the air. “yes! finally, you’re understanding.” you grin, clasping your hands together. “what about you, big guy?” you look to luther expectantly.
“you guys go.” he tells you as diego comes to stand by your side. “i’m going to go through dad’s files. i still think this has something to do with why he sent me to the moon.” one step forward, two back, apparently. you weren’t expecting luther to get it, but it was still quite annoying.
diego raises an eyebrow at him, “really? you’re making the end of the world about you and dad now?” he questions, clearly annoyed.
“no- he told me to watch for threats.” luther defends himself, “that’s not a coincidence. it all has to be connected somehow.”
allison steps to his side, trying to convince him that they need to stick together. you clap your hands together, “we don’t have the time for this. let him stay.”
“let’s roll.” diego instructs, “i know where we can find this asshole. klaus, you’re with me.”
everyone looks over to klaus as he sits up, “yeah, i’m good.” he renounces, pushing himself up from the chair. “i think i’ll pass. feeling a little... under the weather.” he leaves the room, abandoning the little mission you had created.
sighing softly, you follow as diego and five walk out of the room, ready to get this all done with and be finished with the task of stopping the end of the world.
-
finding harold jenkins was a lot easier than you thought it would be. turns out, diego being a vigilante actually helped out, since he was able to get the file of the man. apparently, allison recognized him, and he had been flirting around with vanya, and she didn’t even know his real name.
getting out of the car, you sigh softly. his house was just a normal house, in the middle of a small, normal neighborhood. nothing you would expect for someone who was going to end the world.
“be careful. we don’t know what peabody’s capable of.” allison warns as you all walk up the path to the house, which seemed to be empty at the moment. lucky timing, apparently.
diego brushed off her warning, “he didn’t seem dangerous when i saw him.” he dismisses, “looked kind of scrawny.”
“so are most mass murderers and serial killers.” she shoots back, gesturing to five, “look at him.”
“thanks.” he mutters.
“good point.” diego concurs, leading up the steps to the porch. “what’s this guy want with vanya?” he questions.
“no clue. why don’t we ask him once he’s dead?” you respond, giving a sarcastic grin.
diego holds out a hand to stop the both of you, and you sigh softly. “alright, i’m gonna-” he cuts himself off when he sees that allison wasn’t there anymore, sighing and rolling his eyes in exasperation. “it would be nice for people to just stick to the-”
he once again stops talking when five grabs your hand and you both disappear with a flash. now inside the house, you glance around, jumping slightly when you hear glass shattering, followed by diego groaning in pain.
walking past him to the door, you turn the handle, grinning slightly when it easily opened. “it was unlocked.” you inform him, allison chuckling beside you.
“my way works just fine.” he mutters in response, getting up from the glass covered floor. picking some of the shards off of his clothes, “spread out. yell if you, uh... you know, you’re in trouble.”
after watching him walk off, you shake your head and split up from the other two with a small wave as you go down the hallway next to the stairs. surprisingly, it was normal. nothing that an ordinary person wouldn’t have in their home- some pictures hanging on the walls, a small bathroom.
while you were rooting around, allison called for you guys from where she was upstairs, apparently finding something of importance. all of you quickly make your way up, seeing the hatch to the attic open.
taking a deep breath, you watch as the boys go up the ladder before following them up, seeing that the attic was decorated in an interesting fashion. umbrella academy decorations- figurines of them when they were kids, heads burned off, posters with their faces scratched out. this was definitely not normal.
“this guy’s got some serious issues.” diego mumbles, examining everything.
biting your lip, you look around a bit. “i don’t think he was ever interested in vanya.” you voice your thoughts slowly, “he was trying to get to you guys. call it a hunch.”
suddenly, there’s a thump, and when you look to your side, five had fallen to the ground. your eyes widen as you quickly crouch beside him. “what’s wrong? what happened?” he’s breathing heavily, and his lack of a response worries you to no end.
allison pulls his shirt up slightly when she sees the blood staining it, and she sees the shrapnel in his abdomen. “why didn’t you say anything?” diego questions him, raising an eyebrow.
“you need to keep going.” five breathes out, closing his eyes and letting his head fall back against the floor. “we’re so close.”
you’re shocked you don’t stop breathing when he loses consciousness. “shit.” you barely hear the crack in your voice, because all you hear is a ringing in your ears. “get him- get him in the car! we need to get him back to the academy-” you jump to your feet, and your legs feel like jelly, but you can’t stop for anything.
it felt like a blur, helping allison and diego get five down the stairs and into the car, where he laid across the seat with his head resting in your lap. the whole time, your heart was pumping so hard and it felt like you weren’t breathing for a good while. five was falling in and out of consciousness, and you kept your fingers on his wrist to reassure yourself that his heart was still beating.
-
when you finally got back into the academy, you all carried him in as quick as possible, and you felt as if you had calmed down, even just a little bit. sure, your heart still pounded in your chest and you had to work to control your breathing, but at least you could think rationally.
“we should’ve taken him to the hospital.” allison breathes out as you all shuffle across the floor, trying not to drop five onto the hard wood floors.
“a kid with a shrapnel wound might raise some questions.” five mumbles, and you sigh softly, relieved to know that he wasn’t dead just yet.
you all manage to get over to the couch and lay him down very carefully, “yeah, well, so does the murder shrine in harold jenkins’ attic.” allison shoots back, beginning to pull off her jacket, “he’s still losing blood. what do we do?”
“we gotta get the shrapnel out.” diego commands, looking up from the boy for a moment, before he seems to get distracted by something, walking off into the hall and not responding when allison calls out to him.
letting out a short breath, you hesitantly move away from five’s side, following where diego went to see what had him so distracted from something so important. you see grace, and diego looks confused, but you feel as if your heart just went soaring. she’ll be able to help five.
-
you sat in the silent room, picking at your nails as you stare at the equations all over the walls, things you could never understand no matter how hard you tried.
after getting grace’s help to remove the shrapnel and take care of the wound, you had calmed down significantly. your heart was no longer beating so fast that you could hear it, and you had controlled your breathing.
now, you sat, just waiting. allison and diego left to chase after another lead for where harold could be, and grace had left the room once five’s wound was clean. it was only you and him. and delores.
looking at the mannequin, you scrunch your nose up, tapping your fingers against your forearm. her lifeless eyes stared into your own, and you couldn’t stand it.
“what the hell are you looking at?” you hiss, glaring at the fake woman. it felt like she was mocking you, even if she wasn’t even alive. “you shouldn’t even be here. it’s not like you’re helping at all.”
you cross one leg over the other, leaning back in the chair you had claimed as you stared at her with narrowed eyes. “you’re just sitting there. you didn’t give him your blood, and you haven’t been the one helping him figure out how to stop the apocalypse. that’s all been me, not you.”
the silence is nearly deafening as you continue to stare into her eyes.
but you were a part of what got him here. you were a part of the reason he had shrapnel in his abdomen, causing this injury.
you sneer, lacing your fingers together and resting your hands on your knee. “i only set off a grenade. i didn’t put the shrapnel in him myself.”
silence, again. you realize then that you had been talking to the lifeless woman, and you groan loudly. all those years of solitude, you had been able to keep your sanity. now, it just may be slipping away.
“you’re only a mannequin.” you mutter, biting at your nail as you start to tap your foot. “soon enough, he’ll see that. he’ll realize that there are actual people around him, and it’ll be bye-bye delores!” you throw your hands up in the air, before you freeze in place.
quickly putting your arms down, you groan once again. “i am not going to do this.” you stand from the chair, moving around the bed and grabbing the plastic form, before throwing her into the wardrobe and shutting the doors on her. you sigh softly, “much better.”

stories.  okay.  this one was an extreme first for me.  so the girl who takes the definition of being a sub completely literally.  she wanted to be a complete submissive to the point where if she broke any rules, she wanted a punishment and she got off on it.  one of the things she did at times was when she was sucking my cock, she’d either get a little carried away or something but she’d use/scratch her teeth against my cock to the point where i’d flinch.  i think after a couple of times i flinched, she noticed and asked what was wrong.  i told her but i didn’t tell her before because i didn’t want to sound like an ungrateful dick.  but then she told me that i should punish her for hurting me.  i asked her how should i punish her.  she told me to choose.  the first thing i thought of that wouldn’t necessarily have us changing positions and what not for punishment was that i told her i’d pull her off my cock if i felt her teeth on me and i’d slap her face.  she had told me before hand about the lengths she went through with her other Doms so i had an idea of what she’d be open to, and it was a hell of a lot.  so she liked that punishment.  so much so that i think she bratily grazed her teeth along me just to get punished.  that was pretty insane.  and the fact that she really wanted me to slap her pretty hard too was, interesting and intimidating.  but the thing was, she received pleasure from it.  so i did it because she enjoyed it.  i know that’s off limits to you so it was different to have someone ask that of me and they find pleasure in it.
another thing that happened with her is that she told me that when she gets tipsy sometimes, she’ll throw up.  i didn’t know what her definition of tipsy was or how much it took to get to it.  anyways, she was giving me blowjob after drinking and wouldn’t you know it, she tried to get as much of me into her throat that it triggered you know what and she ended up puking on me...lol.  it was not a fun or pretty site.  at least you did it in the shower and not necessarily on me and even if you did, i think you and i have gotten to the point where that i’d be more concerned for your safety and well being than to be disgusted by you puking on me.  this was a first for me and was weird.  so yeah, i was lying down on the bed receiving the blowjob and my cock in her throat made her puke all over my groin area.  of course we ended up maneuvering to the shower in order to minimize the damage.  she was so embarrassed and was scared that i’d be angry at her and not want anything to do with her that she started to cry right in the shower and was apologizing profusely.  i told her that it was okay and that it was something that just happened where she was caught up in the moment and shyt happened.  it took some time to assure her i wasn’t mad and that it wasn’t a deal breaker at that moment that.  when she finally calmed down and realized that i wouldn’t leave her at the moment because of the incident, she was so happy and grateful that she wanted to continue blowing me as a sign of gratitude.  that was a wild play of emotions.  luckily no clothes were involved :P
i’m realizing that these aren’t the sexiest of stories, huh...*lol*  well, this is one of the better ones then.  kingman girl, nearly 50, was married for 20 years and finally worked up the courage to walk away from the marriage after her kids had grown but realized she knew it wasn’t right at some point but didn’t know how to leave and kids being involved made it worse.  anyways, setting that scene, she is extremely hyper sexual and when she tried to initiate things with her ex, he rejected her and made her feel like asking for intimacy was a character flaw of hers.  he only wanted it on his own terms and any time she sought it out, he made her feel like her want for intimacy was a bad thing or a weakness.  see she ended up suppressing her urges.  maybe that’s why she is so open to pleasuring me the way she does?  anyways, one time she arranged it so that she rented a room and stayed the night and asked me to stay with her.  that night while i was fucking her, at one point i brought up towards the window and the sheer curtain was still covering the window as we were only 3 stories up and you could see the pool from where we were at.  there were a couple families with kids swimming and playing in the pool.  i brought her there just for the thrill and the idea that someone could possibly see her/us but no one could from there.  i could see that she was trying to hold the curtain closed so i told her she should open up the curtains.  she was hesitant about doing it but i’ve read her pretty well up to that point that i told her that i would stop fucking her if she didn’t.  i already could sense that there was a sub side to her so that’s what prompted me to test it out.  so after she hesitated, i stopped and pulled out of her.  she then begged me to keep fucking her and i told her she knew what she had to do if she wanted me to continue.  she opened up the curtain and i resumed fucking her with where anyone could have seen her/us.  we ended up cumming that way and later admitted that she got so much of a thrill out of it that if we ever get the chance to do so, she wanted to be fucked that way again.  that same night, i fingered her till she squirted.  nothing like you.  if you were 2 out of 10 only because of “buckets”, i would have rated her as a 7/10, 10 being nothing.  the thing was, she has never squirted before, ever.  it was the first time she had ever done so.  she said she didn’t know exactly what was happening or what she was feeling but she could feel that she was wetter than usual and when she looked down and saw her fluids splashing while i was fingering her and she eventually saw the puddle on the bed, that’s when she admitted that she had only heard of if but never thought she was capable of doing so.  so yeah.  at the time, i didn’t think it was a big deal.  i just thought, “oh hey, she can squirt too.  not as much as L but she can.  that’s kewl.”  so yeah, introducing a girl to the phenomenon of squirting for the first time in her life after almost 50 years i guess was a pretty decent accomplishment by me.  so...yay? :P
hope those stories tide you over or that’s what you were looking for.  it’s weird cuz i’m starting to remember and recall a lot of stories and i guess since i don’t normally tell people about them, it kinda just falls to the way side.  it’s not like i do things in order to collect stories and brag about them.  they just happened and i think it was something that was shared only between me and that person. and yeah, i guess looking at things, it seems a lot of them did take place at work because of proximity.  go figure...*ws*
still, i’d rather reserve the stories till i’m with you.  i imagine us laying next to each other as i recount them, caressing and fondling you, you stroking me or absent-mindedly licking or sucking me off so you can listen to what i’m saying.  then we get to a point where we work ourselves to a frenzy that we end up having our own little adventure/story.  “do you concur?” - Frank Abignale from Catch Me If You Can  :P

House of M fic
( @sammysdewysensitiveeyes  @the-home-kvetch Toad has a cameo in the second section and Pyro in the third. They basically disappear after that, though, then reappear at the very end for a brief but heroic mention , so if you only want to read those parts I shan’t be offended! I read a lot of stuff only for my own faves and then tap out, lol! The Gai are not Marvel canon. I needed some Generic Alien Invaders, so that’s what I came up with!) “So, now that you’ve seen what A.I.M. can truly do. . . can I count on your continued support?” Dr. Monica Rappaccini knew that she had taken a big risk bring a civilian to their Australian base and revealing so much of their operation here. But this civilian, a Ms. Radha Dastoor, given the moniker “Haven” years ago for her good deeds, had the same goals as her---human liberation from the boot of mutantkind. And what set Haven apart from so many other “sapiens” who wished the same was her resources; the woman was ridiculously rich. She’d already been a generous donator to A.I.M’s more. .  .legitimate faces, mainly concerning supplying disenfranchised human communities with medicine, clean water, and access to education. And some of her gifts had gone to these, as had been promised, but many had actually been funneled to A.I.M itself for its more. . .radical usage. Indeed, Monica was willing to bet a fair few pieces in this very facility were purchased indirectly by the unwitting Ms. Dastoor. But she wasn’t unwitting anymore. Monica’s agents had been easing her into more and more illicit aspects of their activism. While she didn’t seem ready to condone violence, she had expressed that she did not condemn it in an oppressed people either, just has she not condemned mutantkind for the same before the world’s tables had turned. Monica felt in this woman a kindred spirit, someone who wanted to even the balance, to help the helpless, and who, despite her pacifist demeanor, understood more deeply than she let on that breaking--or blowing up---a few eggs was a necessary ingredient in that omelette. She just couldn’t say so publicly, or the Red Guard would have her head in a second. Even her peaceful, benign activism surely had her on a few watchlists just because of how prominent she was. But here, she could speak freely. And Monica thought she knew what she would say. Monica thought wrong. Now, if Haven had had something affecting her mind, say a demonic entity of evil and chaos speaking to her at the most vulnerable moment of her life, Monica might have more than likely swayed her. But being in a stable mental state — “I am truly sorry, Dr. Rappaccini,” she said, and to her credit she did look it, “But I cannot be party to this methods. I understand the desperation that has driven you to them, and I even admire the---” “How can you say that?” Monica demanded, “After all I have shown you?!” “It is because you have shown me, Dr. Rappaccini, that I--” Haven was cut off again---this time by the klaxon alarm blaring throughout the building. ***
The Red Guard was storming the base. The technological hurdles had been considerable to get over, but once those were overcome by the tech division---S.H.I.E.L.D’S mutant technopaths helped considerably with that---the sheer physical power of the agents was practically bulldozing the poor A.I.M guards. Agent “Toad” Toynbee used his agility to spring off the walls and land on the agents shoulders, jumping from on to the other, knocking them off balance with each landing, allowing his fellow agents to hit them while they were distracted. His comrade and friend Agent “Nightcrawler” Darkholme used his teleportation to scout ahead, Agent “Marrow” Rushman punctured organs and blocked guns by firing bone spikes right up the weaponry barrels, while Agent “Rogue” Darkholme and Agent “Diamond Lil” Crawley simply barreled and brawled their way through every body in their path like the bruisers they were.  “Too easy!” Crawley bragged as she slugged one of the guards, who had practically been propelled into her fist by the thrust of Toad’s feet.  “Precisely”, concurred Director Shaw gruffly, and he grabbed the nearest scientist before the cowering woman could flee. They were deep in enough that the brains the operation were starting to be sighted between the garish yellow A.I.M. suits. And unlike those suits, the white coats over office casual clothes worn by the scientists exposed skin. Just hands and faces, the occasional legs from beneath a mid-length sensible skirt, but that was more than enough. “Agent Darkholme,” he said, and though he did not specify WHICH Darkholme he meant, Rogue knew it was her. She removed a glove and brushed a single finger against the woman’s whimpering face for the briefest of moments. If Shaw wasn’t telling her to dig deep, that meant she didn’t have to, and she sure as hell wasn’t going to go sucking someone’s whole psyche into hers just for fun. But she got enough to confirm what Shaw was suspecting---a trap. “We gotta get out, y’all!” she exclaimed, the whites of her eyes widening, “If someone gets past the guards, there’s orders to blow the place to kingdom co---” *** The clearing that had once been green and dotted with trees was now scorched black, dotted with flaming wreckage of what had once been the AIM base and the bloodied, moaning remains of what had once been its members. “Save any survivors you can!” Shaw barked, “We need them for interrogation! And Allerdyce, get out here and get the fires under control! This is potoroo country!” Shaw, Rogue, and Crawley all possessed mutations that allowed them to survive the blast, allowing Nightcrawler to only need to get Toad, Marrow, and Pyro out, which he could do in one trip, albeit an exhausting one, and on to the safety of their jet. Thus, they were all safe, though Darkholme was winded and done for the day. Hearing Shaw’s command over his earpiece, Agent St. John “Pyro” Allerdyce made a swift thanks to his teammate and ran out to push the flames back from touching the rest of the forest. Potoroos were a protected species, and their safety was of utmost importance in the House of M! Meanwhile, Rogue and Crawley dug through the wreckage, the former tossing car-sized hunks of metal aside like pillows and the latter just punching a path through it, as Marrow pinned down anyone who attempted to flee using bone spears---through their clothes, since Shaw insisted on them alive—and Toad tripped them up with his tongue before pulling them back so their leader could place them in cuffs. “That’s all of them!” the amphibious mutant proclaimed proudly as the last yellow-suited AIM member—the last MOVING one, anyway---was hauled into the jet. “Clear out then” Shaw ordered, surveying the scene a final time. Something caught his eye. “Wait---Allerdyce! Those flames there, in the center---get them somewhere else, there’s someone caught in the center!” “Get them somewhere else, he says, like I can just freaking teleport them or some shit,” Pyro muttered, but he cleared the flames, revealing indeed something who had been surrounded by them. It was a wonder that her long hair and salwar kameez---yes, Pyro know the term for it, thank you---hadn’t been caught alight, but more miraculous by far was the way the wreckage encased her in such a way that she had been protected from harm. She just also couldn’t get out. Not on her own, anyway. Shaw strode towards her, flanked by the flames that Pyro had pushed aside Moses-style. He took the cage apart carefully, knowing that pulling out the wrong piece could bring the whole thing crashing down on the woman inside. It wouldn’t have mattered much to him if this had just been another AIM flunkie; they had more than enough for the Psy Division to scan for intel. But this woman. . . he recognized her, and he didn’t know what she was doing here---though he had a hunch---and he wasn’t about to let her be hurt. Not until he had the full story. “Don’t try anything, dirtbag!” Marrow hollered, coming to Shaw’s side as the last of the metal prison was removed from the soon-to-be prisoner, bones ready to hurl should she make one move that the mutants didn’t like. “That won’t be necessary, Agent Rushman,” said Shaw calmly, not looking away from the woman, to whom he reached out a hand, “Can you stand? Please, let me help you. There we are. Lean on me. We’ll have you treated for any injuries immediately. And. . . Radha Dastoor, it is my duty to inform you, that you are under arrest.” *** The AIM prisoners had been brought in, read their rights---such as their were---and the charges brought against them, given their prison jumpsuits, and put in holding awaiting prosecution after the Psi Division got through them. That was what counted for interrogation these days. The crude, ineffective ways of sapien grilling and guesswork were over. But Director Shaw still speaking with one of them personally. Just one. “Our telepaths confirm your story, Ms. Dastoor,” he said. The pair of them were seated on either side of a table. Shaw was still in his uniform. . . Haven, in her newly issued one. Orange was a good color on her, though perhaps not fitting in this amount. She was cuffed as per protocol, and while Shaw did things by the book, his eye twitched slightly at the sheer absurdity of it. But he did not remove them. He didn’t get where he was by making exceptions.  “We know you were not knowingly in league with Dr. Rappaccini,” he continued, “But we also know that you did knowingly aid and abet several illicit activities.” “Yes,” Haven replied calmly, with neither coldness nor defiance, but nor any submission or remorse, “I did.” It was matter of fact, and perfectly polite.  “Your forthcomingness strengthens the decision I’ve made,” he said, his own voice also matter of fact, though his was more frank and detached, “To advocate for leniency in your case. You have been cooperative, you have denied nothing---as some people do even when faced with their own memories as evidence---and, as noted, you were not involved in Rappaccini or AIM’s terrorist activities. Your crimes, rather, have been more along the lines of providing funds, food, and medicines to, say, illegal protestors. Given your history, I am inclined to believe you will not escalate to more extreme measures, and should not be considered a public threat.” “I appreciate that, Director Shaw.” “It’s not a gift, Ms. Dastoor. Merely my professional opinion.” “Nonetheless, I do.” “I do have to ask you now, because you will be asked on the stand---once you have served your time and are duly released, will you cease in all such activities?” “No, Director Shaw.” There was a long, grim silence. “Ms. Dastoor, I cannot give you my recommendation for a reduced sentence if I believe that you will re-offend.” “It would be very disrespectful of me to lie to you now, Director Shaw, just to help myself, after you have shown me such goodwill.” “There will be no goodwill, Ms. Dastoor, if you do not.” The conversation didn’t last long after that. He soon escorted her back to her cell. A private one, to protect her from the AIM prisoners. “You can ask the guards from anything within reason and it will be provided to you if possible. if you feel you have been mistreated in any way, get word to me and something will be done about it if your claim proves true. Shaw wasn’t bending any rules for her. None of this was outside the law, or even a gray area. It just wasn’t something he had ever told any prisoner short of the occasional foreign royal who had fucked up but still had to be handled with care to avoid political disaster.  As Haven started to thank him for the courtesy, an alarmed voice called over the intercom, ”Director Shaw---the AIM prisoners! They’re all dead!” *** The one person that hadn’t been recovered from the base was the real prize---Monica Rappaccini herself. The assumption of SHIELD was that she had escaped before setting off the blast; the idea she’d simply been blown to pieces was too optimistic.  In fact, neither was the case. Monica had a much safer plan than escaping the building---she’d stayed in it. More specifically, in a blast-proof container specifically survived to withstand it, which dropped down a shoot far underground where the bomb wouldn’t reach it anyway, and she wouldn’t be found by the accursed Red Guard. The fools---they hadn’t brought a psychic to sweep for any minds missing, but it wouldn’t have mattered, the tech was telepath-proof too. If only they could do that for the entire place, but alas, it was difficult, tricky, tended to only work on a small scale. But that was enough for her. Once the danger had passed, Monica emerged and got in contact with her best agent---Thasanee Rapaccini, aka the Scorpion. Monica’s daughter. In another world, her name was Carmilla Black and she worked for SHIELD, against her own mother! But in this world, Monica had raised her, and raised her well. She was a (mostly, usually, except for a hiccup) loyal agent to AIM and mommy dearest, and she wanted to see the mutant tyranny she’d grown up under fall as much as Monica did.  But, like all teenagers, she could be a bit rebellions. Like questioning her mother. Something Monica would never have allowed her to do and survive if she hadn’t been her own preciously bio-engineered flesh and blood. ”Is that really necessary, mother?” Thasanee asked when given her new mission, ”They’ve already psy-scanned all the agents by now for sure anyway. What are they going to get from that lady’s mouth that they didn’t get from our guy’s brains?” ”It’s not about containing information,” Monica explained, ”It’s about public opinion. Haven can do more damage to us now than Magneto himself. She’s well-respected by the rest of the humans rights activist movement and even by many mutants. If she publicly denounces our cause, it will rob us of countless new recruits, funding, everything. She’s the most dangerous threat of all---a moderate. Do you see now? They’ll offer her a deal--leniency for collaborating with us, so long as she denounces A.I.M and everything we stand for. And people, even those who share our goals, our beliefs, will listen.” ”You really think she would?” Thasanee asked “I mean, all that good stuff she did for humans. . . maybe she’s just not cut out for our work. You’ve said yourself not everyone is. But that doesn’t mean she’d hang us out to dry.” ”I wish I had your faith in people,” Monica sighed, and it was true. She certainly wished she could be certain that Radha Dastoor wouldn’t do exactly that. But, she’d been so sure that Haven, who shared her cause, would join her and begin providing direct funding, and she couldn’t have been more wrong about that. So she couldn’t take a chance on Radha here either. ”And listen,” Thasanee continued, “If you’re worried about us looking bad, won’t we look WORSE if we kill her? I think that’s what REALLY would get people mad at us! Our own allies too! ”Thasanee,” Monica’s voice turned sweet, cajoling, truly motherly, as she put a hand on her daughter’s shoulder and looked loving into the girl’s green eyes, ”My beloved child. I know this is difficult to understand. But Radha Dastoor dying mysteriously while in S.H.I.E.L.D custody would be very, very good for our cause. A peaceful activist, a nonviolent offender, a model moderate. . .and after her arrest by the Red Guard, who claim such a person was in cahoots with a terrorist organization, she dies while in their hands, and they try to blame that same organization? My dear. . .connect the dots the way the Average Joe would, and see what conclusion it brings you. The kind that makes the opposition look like the monsters we know they are.” Thasanee was a clever child, and she clearly got exactly what her mother was saying. Her conflict was clear on her face, her lip twisting in thought, her eyes flitting doubtfully downwards. But she reached the right answer, as Monica knew she would. ”I’ll do it, mother. You can count on me.” *** ”So what happened to them?” Jessica Drew asked as Agent Darkholme---Mystique, who had not been on the earlier mission---returned from attending to the matter of the AIM agents dropping dead. ”Chemical implant,” Mystique replied, “Rappaccini must have put it in them when they joined up with AIM. Probably to “motivate” them if they ever get cold feet. Or, in this case, fail her by getting captured.” ”G’awful way t’go,” Rogue shuddered. Whenever she had any doubts about what the Red Guard did, people like AIM reminded her who the good guys were. ”What I wanna know,” said Agent Crawley, “is who is this Dastoor broad, that she gets the royal treatment from Sebastian Stick-Up-His-Ass Shaw?” ”No idea,” Rogue said, putting her cooling coffee to her lips. “Before your time, daughter,” Mystique explained, ”Back when mutants were actively oppressed by humanity, before the rise of Emperor Magnus, Radha “Haven” Dastoor was one of the few sapiens on our side.” ”Our side?” Rogue looked intrigued. ”A sapien?” Crawley looked doubtful.  ”Oh, she didn’t go all out for us, not by a long shot,” Mystique scoffed, “Don’t get the wrong idea---she was a peaceful protester. Didn’t get anything done. But. . .she did reach a lot of her own kind, or try. And ran with a very upscale crowd, so there was. . . influence, I suppose. Ran some shelters and such.” The blue-skinned woman sniffed slightly, torn between wanting to give credit where credit was due, but also not wanting to oversell the woman as a saint when she’d barely done the bare minimum in Raven’s view. ”Anyway. Now that the tables have turned, so has she. She’s all about her OWN kind’s rights now. As if things are as bad for them as it was for us. Ha! Not even on our best day back then, were we ever treated with the grace that Magnus has granted THEM. But trust a human to not even be able to stomach a DILUTED taste of their own medicine. She shrugged her azure shoulders, “But since Director Shaw is old enough to remember her work---such as it was---I suppose he thinks she’s earned some professional courtesy. And he is, after all, nothing if not professional.” *** As promised, Haven was well treated while she was held at the Australian S.H.I.E.L.D base. She would be taken to Genosha to stand trial tomorrow, but in the meantime. . .  In the meantime, Thasanee Rappaccini had spent all evening infiltrating the base successfully without setting off any alarm to her presence. It was no mean feat, as one might imagine, but she had been trained for this from birth. Not infiltration specifically, but anything and everything relevant to taking down Magnus’s mutant-supremascist empire. And, much like how many unlucky souls never noticed a scorpion in their shoe before it was too late, this Scorpion had creeped in subtle as a shadow, unheard and unseen and undetected by man, mutant, or machine. And now. . .now she had a clear shot with her Stinger, as she called her left arm from which she fired energy bolts containing concentrated toxins. Like the Rappccini’s daughter of myth, Thasanee was literally poisonous. Yeah, she was pretty sure her mother hadn’t been born with that surname.   Haven didn’t even notice as the slim girl slid into the room. She was busy tending to a flower in a pot, to Thasanee’s surprise. Who had given her that? Scorpion had expected to find the captive in chains, not--- BOOM! CRASH! The entire base rocked as Scorpion’s eardrums rang, and it wasn’t just shock that made it difficult for her to keep her balance.  Thas had a clear shot, not for any gun but her Stinger; the name she had given her left arm, from which she fired the accumulation of toxins and poisons her naturally immune body stored in her left lymph node. Then crash that rattled entire base. A klaxon began to sound, reminding her unpleasantly of the one that had blared throughout the AIM base before its destruction. Yells, shouts, and more smashes reached her ears through the alarm as well. Thasanee had just enough time to wonder if her mother had sent Adaptoids to attack the place before one of the hulking culprits burst through the wall, sending Thasanee leaping into the hiding among the dust and debris; she could hear Haven cough from the same, but, she noted, the woman never screamed. Odd. Maybe she was too petrified too. She’d seemed like such a refined ladylike priss, Thas would have thought--- The Gai. That’s what was causing all this. Thas had encountered them a few times before. They were alien invaders, huge and monstrous, looked part insect and part reptile with a turtle-like shell from which their six limbs extended. Some wore additional hi-tech battle armor but this one was bare. All of them were the same thought; they didn’t care who they killed, only that they killed everyone. Human or mutant, warrior or prisoner, all Earthlings were the same to them. Something to be wiped out. Why, no one knew yet; telepaths couldn’t get in their heads and they were seldom in the mood to talk, though Haven seemed to be trying as the beast advanced. Thas was about to--- BONK! It was an almost comical sound, followed by a crack, as the force from Director Shaw’s fist collided with the stone-like shell of the Gai and, a moment after impact, splintered it.  Where did he come from?! Scorpion wondered, then saw he must have rushed in after it through the hole it left, then leaped on to its back to strike his blow. And then another. And another. He was hitting it with every step he made over its back, but once he got to its head, it tossed him like a rodeo rider being thrown from a bull before he could punch its ugly skull in. Scorpion wasn’t sure who she was rooting for.  Shaw was launched into the bars of Haven’s cell, and they bent in under the force of his indestructible body like overcooked noodles. Haven, luckily for her, had moved out of the way, and he wasted no time getting in front of her as the Gai advanced. Scorpion wasn’t sure how smart the Gai were--no one knew if they were sapient beings or merely mindless drones sent down to fight by a greater intelligence---but she for one thought it must be thinking how convenient it was that Shaw had taken down this obstacle for it.  Until he wrenched off the end of a bar and impaled it through the Gai’s bulbous multifaceted left eye. However alien this creature might be, it had a commonality with most beings on Earth, which was that getting a long sharp metal rod jammed into your skull was an unpleasant sensation, and the Gai responded in kind, reeling back and . . .shrieking? Scorpion wasn’t sure that was the right word for it. She wasn’t sure there was a word to describe it. Like all the sound files in the world glitching at once. She had to cover her ears, but Shaw was apparently part deaf---it was the only explanation---because he didn’t even pause as he grabbed Haven and ran. Scorpion was fairly sure he didn’t see her on the way out though; the Director clearly had bigger things on his mind. Like the Gai, which was more dangerous than ever as it thrashed around in pain. Scorpion supposed to humane thing was to put it out of its misery. . . not to mention, it’d be valuable to know how susceptible they were to poison. . .  But she had a target already, and it had just breezed by her in a bright orange jumpsuit. No time for mercy kills; Scorpion followed them.  She didn’t notice who was following her too.  *** Shaw lead Haven at a rapid pace through the sleek corporate-esque hallways of the building, which were even more rapidly being destroyed. They dodged the claws of more Gai, huge chunks of falling walls and ceilings, sprays of crumbling dust that she might inhale. . . or rather, Shaw dodged the claws and dragged Haven with him, shielded her with his force-absorbing body from the falling walls and ceilings, and commanded her to hold her breath through the crumbling dust from the destruction. He faced a few more Gai on the way out, and while hurting them was easy once they provided him with enough energy, keeping Haven safe---his priority---was difficult to do in tandem. But Shaw was professional, and Shaw was experienced, and Shaw not only got her out alive, she didn’t have a scratch on her. “Everyone good?” he said into his ear piece as he steered Haven towards the door that would lead them out at last. In addition to guarding her, he’d been guiding the Red Guard and the rest of the personnel as best he could over the communicator. “I’m getting the prisoner secured, after that we can---hello?! Over?! Over?!” The line had gone dead. It could be an accident during the destruction. But Shaw wasn’t sure about that. He’d figure it out soon. Getting Radha Dastoor to safety came first though. And he believed he had succeeded. They made it out the front doors, to the jet, into the jet--- And then Shaw cried out and fell to the floor, green toxic energy crackling around him. Not the kind he could absorb, either----it was pure concentrated poison. Scorpion stepped out of the shadows. “Took you long enough, old man,” she said, “I made it out way sooner. Of course. . .” Her eyes traveled to Haven, her real target. “. . .I didn’t have a load to carry. You must be tired from that; please, don’t get up.” She fired another blast into Shaw, who had been rising to his feet, despite the fact the first should have been enough to kill him.  Haven cried out this time in front of Shaw, throwing herself in front of his fallen form, begging Thasanee to stop. “Don’t worry, I’ll get to you,” Scorpion assured her,  But before I do, I want to know one thing from him.” She addressed Shaw again, “Why has a mutant fascist pig like you been risking your life to defend a human? I saw you in there. You protected her. Why? Is it because of what she used to do for you guys? Has she been a double agent all along? Is she really a mutant?”
“Because. . . “ Shaw croaked, using all the strength he had left just to lift his head as Haven knelt down beside him, “She. . . is the State’s prisoner. And I. . . am a representive of the State. Of SHIELD. Of Emperor Magnus. It is my duty. . .to protect those in our custody.” He took a moment to breathe, and then continued, less labored this time, but still unable to do more than speak. “I find her activism sentimental soft-minded tripe, and I will see her stand trial for the parts of it that break the law---but I shall NOT see her harmed while she is still my responsibility. Not by the Gai, and nor by YOU.” “Wow,” Scorpion said, and she was genuinely impressed,  “Ok, so----I don’t take back that you’re a mutant fascist pig, but you’re a mutant fascist pig with some honor. Not gonna lie---I’m surprised. Enough that I’ll let you in one something before you die---I’m not going to kill her.” Both Shaw and Haven looked shocked. “Yeah,” Scorpion said, and answered the question she knew they must have, “My mom wants her dead, and I was sent to do that, but like. . .I’m just going to fake her death, get her out of here, set her up somewhere. That way--” She turned her gaze specifically to Haven,  “That way, you can’t denounce us---if that was ever even your plan---without A.I.M knowing you’re alive and killing you for real, so you won’t, right? And I don’t have to kill you for something you haven’t even done, and maybe were never going to. Everybody wins. I mean, except grandpa there, but I count wiping out one more SHIELD fucker---the Director, no less!---a win. Talk about cutting the head from the snake; he’s one step from Emperor Magnus himself!” “I wish I could be proud of you for this, daughter.” As if she had teleported, Monica Rappapccini appeared before her daughter. Who, judging by her reaction, had NOT been expecting this. ”Invisibility device,” Monica tapped a metal bracelet on her wrist, “I’ve been by your side this whole time. And you were doing so well, too. . . .up until now.” She sighed, “I know adolescence is a time to question authority but  you have to follow orders even if you find them difficult. That’s really more what this has been than anything---a test to see how far out of line you’ve fallen. The scientist in me, always having to test a hypothesis before I consider it proven. “ “Well, consider it proven, Mom!” Thasanee barked back, her feelings akin to how a normal teenager might react to finding out her parent had been in her room, “Now what! Going to kill ME too?” “Don’t be silly, you’re far too valuable,” Monica tssked, “As are these two as hostages. Dastoor for her money, Shaw for his political worth to the House of Magnus and SHIELD---much as I truly would love to slaughter him in so many ways. Indeed, I think I might just do that anyway once he’s served his purpose. He deserves it. Do you know how many people he has---” And that was when Exodus, Toad, and Pyro teleported onboard and saved the day. They made short work of Dr. Rappaccini, but alas, Scorpion got away. Shaw made a full recovery after receiving medical aid. And Ms. Dastoor awaits trial for her crimes.

And the throat Chakra represents: All sound, Vibration , Communication, Self-expression, Listening, Speaking, Writing
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This to me tells me that there could be something related to yourself in the mentioned areas of voice , or vibration?
Or perhaps it's a hint of who your Spiritual Guardians are and what your Spirit Guides gifts are as far as communication goes because that's another vibe I strongly get as a result of this card pulling set.
On my Oracle Card I can tell it's Gabriel's horn... So dear Gemini 💞💖 your first Spirit Guide that's showing up today is Archangel Gabriel as he is also associated with the fifth Chakra as well. Due to his communication link in literally each and every story we ever heard of him .. and he's even known to wear this blue which actually relates to the Chakra I am speaking on so much now ,
now now I'm going to get comfortably numb 😂😂😅 no drugs needed just my regular medical medication 😭dont tell them your dr is now! It's just that I'm ready to do the most in depth part of this Shamanic Session which you've paid for ... Hello 👋 Gemini 😁 I'm glad that you have made this choice to finally meet the voice behind all of the synchronicity 🏵️ in your life🍂🍁 to meet the real reason we have met this evening and I'm glad and honored to introduce you to your Spirit Guide🏵️🌸💐
Your most active and current Spirit Guide is a Greek Goddess from this tale I'm about to share and although she's been cursed by Juno and lost her voice somewhat; She is able to repeat sentences, fragments and makes a whole lot of sense when I have her communicate with your higher self 😅 because when I first found out through this Shanic experience that your Spirit Guide is sort of speechless I was lol pretty depressed. About the direction of this Shamanic Healing Journeys for you but going forward I did find the magical method to communicate with the ever forever silenced echos of your Greek. Spirit Guide.
And it's 1:17AM EST Did you guess your Spirit Guide 🏵️ yet? No...
Name: Echo
Origin: Latin
Meaning:reflected sound
Echo as a girl's name is of Latin and Greek origin meaning "reflected sound". In mythology, Echo was a nymph who loved Narcissus and faded away until only her voice was left behind.
In Greek mythology, Echo (/ˈɛkoʊ/; Greek: Ἠχώ, Ēkhō, "echo",[3] from ἦχος (ēchos), "sound"[4]) was an Oread who resided on Mount Cithaeron.[5] Zeus loved consorting with beautiful nymphs and often visited them on Earth. Eventually, Zeus's wife, Hera, became suspicious, and came from Mount Olympus in an attempt to catch Zeus with the nymphs. Echo, by trying to protect Zeus (as he had ordered her to do), endured Hera's wrath, and Hera made her only able to speak the last words spoken to her. So when Echo met Narcissus and fell in love with him, she was unable to tell him how she felt and was forced to watch him as he fell in love with himself.
In Metamorphoses (8 AD), the poet Ovid tells of Juno (Hera in Greek mythology) and the jealousy she felt over her husband Jupiter's (Zeus in Greek mythology) many affairs. Though vigilant, whenever she was about to catch him, Echo distracted her with lengthy conversations. When at last Juno realized the truth, she cursed Echo. From that moment on, the once loquacious nymph could only repeat the most recently spoken words of another person.

The myth of the goddess is told in Book III of the Metamorphoses, and tells the story of a "talkative nymph" whom the goddess Venus admires for her magnificent voice and song. When she tricks Juno into believing that her husband, Jupiter, was in the city, Juno curses Echo by making her able to only finish a sentence not started, and unable to say anything on her own. "Yet a chatterbox, had no other use of speech than she has now, that she could repeat only the last words out of many." This is the explanation of the aural effect which was named after her.[1]
Sometime after being cursed, Echo spied a young man, Narcissus, while he was out hunting deer with his companions. She immediately fell in love with him and, infatuated, followed quietly. The more she looked at the young man, the more she longed for him. Though she wished with all her heart to call out to Narcissus, Juno's curse prevented her.[2]
During the hunt, Narcissus became separated from his companions and called out, ‘is anyone there,’ and heard the nymph repeat his words. Startled, Narcissus answered the voice, ‘come here,’ only to be told the same. When Narcissus saw that nobody had emerged from the glade, he concluded that the owner of the voice must be running away from him and called out again. Finally, he shouted, "This way, we must come together." Taking this to be a reciprocation of her love, Echo concurred ecstatically, "We must come together!"[3]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In her delight, Echo rushed to Narcissus ready to throw her arms around her beloved. Narcissus, however, was appalled and, spurning her, exclaimed, ‘Hands off! May I die before you enjoy my body.’ All Echo could whisper in reply was, ‘enjoy my body’ and having done so she fled, scorned, humiliated, and shamed.[4]
Despite the harshness of his rejection, Echo's love for Narcissus only grew.[5] When Narcissus died, wasting away before his own reflection, consumed by a love that could not be, Echo mourned over his body. When Narcissus, looking one last time into the pool uttered, "Oh marvellous boy, I loved you in vain, farewell", Echo too chorused, "Farewell."[6]
What's Hemlock?
Poison hemlock (Conium maculatum) is a poisonous invasive weed that has caused many accidental deaths because of its resemblance to carrots, including the wild carrot (Queen Anne’s lace). The poisonous agents in the plant are volatile alkaloids, and they are found in every part of the plant. In addition to causing death when ingested, the plant also causes a miserable dermatitis in sensitive people upon contact with skin. Socrates drank the juice of this notorious plant to commit suicide, and ancient Greeks used it to poison their enemies and political prisoners. North American Natives dipped their arrowheads in hemlock to make sure every hit was fatal.

Childhood Friends AU: MariKim
Part 2- in which the class discovers the MariKim friendship
You can find Part 1 here
Here is background head canons about their families
-it started in the wake of a disaster
-Francois DuPont is a magnet for crazy shit, to the point that many students are starting to become immune to some of the more mild occurrences
-a giant boulder crashes through the window one day and rolls across the room and out the door, crushing the front row of desks in the process and passing inches from Ms. Bustier
-students scream and jump, more in surprise than actual fear at this point, but back away from the windows (Marinette and Adrien both immediately dash out of the room)
-all except Chloe, who didn’t move a muscle when the boulder flew through the window, and Sabrina lays praise on her like usual
“Wow, Chloe, you’re so brave. You weren’t shocked or scared at all when that boulder flew right past you!”
“Pff, Sabrina, I’m Queen Bee, the only thing that could shock me is if Ladybug turned out to be some weakling like Dupain-Cheng”
-The class is used to ignoring Chloe at this point
-Except Kim is high on adrenaline and doesn’t want to listen to Chloe insult his friend when she isn’t even here to defend herself
-Tells Chloe to shove it
“Marinette is super brave! Remember that traffic akuma from two weeks ago? she ran straight at it so the class could get away. Last week, Marinette literally saved you from the lunch lady you akumatized by throwing a chair at her. And bravest of all, yesterday when I accidently broke one of my mom’s sculptures, Marinette took the blame for me!”
-Chloe is not impressed, “Of course you of all people would come to her defense. If she impresses you so much why don’t you go back to being best friends with her instead of glasses over there?”
-Kim is visibly confused “I…what are you talking about? I never stopped being best friends with Marinette?”
-Chloe is more focused on the dirt that’s on her sweater at this point. She rolls her eyes and drags Sabrina off to the bathroom to makeout clean her sweater
-Alya, who had been getting ready to jump into the argument, is looking more confused than Kim.
“What do you mean you’re best friends with Marinette? Everyone knows that Max is your best friend, and Marinette is mine.”
(Alya is just a bit jealous, because she’s still the ‘new kid’ and while she gets along with the other girls in the class, she’s not super close with them)
-Now Kim is really lost. “Uh, Max isn’t my best friend?”
- :0
“Kim! How could you say that, he’s right there! Max are you okay?”
-Max is also confused. “Yes? Why would I not be? It would be illogical of me to expect Kim to call me his best friend when he is not mine.”
-the classes current mental statues: ??*confusion*???
-Nino is the voice of reason, “Who’s you’re best friend then Max?”
“Markov of course! I spent years programming him, he knows everything about me, and I know everything about him.”
-Markov’s eyes turn into hearts for a moment. “I concur, Max is also my best friend!”
-The class is fucking exhausted, Kim is beaming at Alya
“Wait, but that doesn’t explain how Marinette is your best friend! You never even talk to each other.”
-Nino is subtly trying to get Alya to stop, but when Alya hears something that doesn’t add up she pushes until she learns the truth. It’s great for a journalist, but it lands her in some embarrassing situations sometimes.
-Kim is flabbergasted. The idea of him and Marinette not being bffs is so foreign to him that his brain physically can’t process it. He opens and closes his mouth like a fish trying to figure out where to begin explaining their history
-Alix rolls her eyes and comes to his rescue. “Those two dorks have been tight since before primary school. Be glad they don’t act like best friends, trust me, I went to primary school with them and they almost burned the building down.”
“Hey! That was…Marinette’s fault.”
“What was my fault?”
-Marinette is back, the class was so absorbed in the drama they didn’t even notice ladybug defeating the akuma right outside the window
-Kim is a smug bastard. “Burning down our primary school”
“WHAT! I PREVENTED you from burning the school down. You lit a match in the art FULL OF PAPER MACHE SCULPTURES!”
“Uh-huh, and when you blew the match out you dropped it in the trash, that was full of paper. Which then caught on fire.”
-This argument lasts for several minutes while Ms. Bustier recovers from the shock of almost being flattened by a giant rock
-She decides she needs to medicate with a bottle of vodka, so class is cancelled for the rest of the day
-No one tells Marinette about the argument that happened just before she walked in
-Alya watches as Marinette and Kim walk into the bakery together
-Rose swoons, “That’s so sweet. Do you think they’ll date? It would be so romantic!”
-Juleka nods in agreement, secretly hoping they do so that she can ask them for pointers on how to ask out your best friend
-Nino been knew, so he doesn’t say anything and just asks Alya if she wants to go to the movies
-Adrien got back after Marinette and has no idea what is happening
-Likewise, Ivan was listening to music and didn’t even realize an argument happened.
-Nathaniel is hit with sudden inspiration for his comic and rushes off to write it all down before he forgets
-Max and Alix…don’t care. They already knew and are more surprised by their classmate’s surprise than anything else
-Lila mentally makes Kim her new target
Why the class didn’t realize Mari and Kim are such good friends:
 1. Most of them didn’t go to the same primary school as Mari and Kim. The only people who went to their primary school were Chloe, Nino, and Alix. But even then, Chloe didn’t arrive until the second year of primary school and Nino didn’t transfer until the fourth year.
Alix was there the first year, but was constantly switching schools when she was younger due to her father traveling for work. She doesn’t come to Francois Dupont until the second year when her father takes a permanent position at the louve so that she can stay at the same school for a while
2.  For the first two years at their Lycee they were in different classes. No one saw them interact much at school. They ate lunch together, but most of the time they went to Marinette’s house for it since it was so close.
and sure Marinette went to Kim’s games consistently, but no one else did so they had no way of knowing just how often Mari went. And the few times other students went to the games they just assumed Marinette was there for the whole team. Because Mari’s just nice like that.
3. Even when they were in the same class again, they didn’t hang out. This is partly due to the classes’ own perceptions, they already don’t think Mari and Kim are tight, but both are friendly people so they don’t find it strange when they wave at each other or have small conversations before and after class.
Plus they have other friends. The two years in different classes did them some good. They learned that they don’t have to constantly be hanging out. They see each other enough outside of school that they figure they can use their in-class time to hang out with their other friends.
4. The Class is Oblivious. This is almost the same as the previous point, but slightly different. Whether or no Marinette and Kim are friends doesn’t really matter, it wouldn’t change anything in the eyes of their classmates, so no one is bother trying to figure out how close they are.
They don’t see them interact much so they assume they aren’t close
This is gonna be the last part, but I couldn’t resist that Lila bit, so there’s gonna be a Part 3 ig lol
Also, look out for my upcoming post about Max and Markov’s deep friendship lmfao

Week 4 of Clown Theories and Analysis
S3E04 - Still Got It
First I wanna say, this episode did the impossible for a lot of us, I think, and got me to actually feel bad for Niko, even if it was for only 10min lol. Also i didn’t like a lot of things about this episode but by the end of the episode, a lot of it made sense. Like how they changed the location titles with the names of the characters which I realized after finishing the episode was done to fit the structure of this episode which makes sense. Literally every time, I saw someone’s name, I was like “do they not know who their fanbase is? we know who these characters are, we obsess over them on the daily” Anyway, I’m gonna adopt that format and use it for this review as I rewatch
Eve - we all know Eve needs therapy, she’s had more than enough trauma but i really need her to go to have someone tell her to stop being in denial about her attraction to V. Like she kissed her, had that whole stuffed bear moment at the end of 3x03 and now is spamming tf out of Niko. im glad that tie has finally been severed although it did come at the huge cost of Eve’s emotional and mental state. i’m really interested in episode 6 to see how this really shapes Eve. also Dasha dug her own grave with that kill, there’s no way Eve is going to believe it was V. V wouldn’t cross that line and she’s had many opportunities to in the past. Also it was said that the bond between Eve and V would grow in terms of trust and understanding of each other, so I have no doubt that Eve will figure out it wasn’t V.
The scene with Jaime and Eve was great. im glad they finally somewhat mentioned Raymond. I think Eve was about to say something about her killing Raymond before she got distracted by what Jaime said. that was the most so far that we’ve seen any reaction from Eve regarding that. Also Eve’s reaction to the teddy bear in bed “What do you want from me?” Like Eve, you know damn well...
Konstantin - So K definitely stole the money and had Kenny killed. As well as the accountant and as we all know from this episode, the accountant’s wife because of the email she got from Charles. i think he stole it to get out of the Twelve and get off the map (possibly with Irina). And exactly what Irina is saying is what is going to happen “It’s going to catch up to you and you’re going to end up dead”.
Villanelle - i’m really not a big fan of how animated they’ve made V. Going back to season 1 and seeing her now is a huge contrast and not in a good way. Like she was always silly and a bit childlike, but never over the top. I was really happy with how they portrayed V during 3x03 especially with the car kill, that brought me back to s1 V but this episode fell flat for me. I hope it’s toned down a bit next episode. I can imagine that her character will be toned down more after episode 5 as I can’t imagine her reunion with her family (or maybe that’s not her family) ending well.
I loove the fact that V really tried to bake a cake for Eve, my heart 🥰
I also love the way they ended the episode with her, it was a nice set up for the next episode. I wonder how V will react to Niko’s death. it’s no secret she doesn’t like him but i can imagine she would feel bad for Eve and angry at Dasha for killing him because of what it will do to Eve.
Carolyn - Fiona’s performance this season has just been exceptional. I really like the line that Carolyn said about respecting each other’s grief to Geraldine. Carolyn is such a unique character and we all knew that Kenny’s death would affect her in some way but didn’t know how. I think Fiona and SH have done a great job of showing her grieving process.
Dasha - I concur with what everyone else has been saying, that French lady from the 12 (Or maybe not from the 12, I still have a feeling Dasha isn’t actually working for the 12) can step on me.
so i said it before but i really think Dasha dug her own grave by killing Niko and either Eve or V is going to kill her. I saw a theory that i really liked about how Eve doesn’t like actually killing someone but she’s always been really interested in the kills that V carries out and that never seemed to bother her much. so maybe it wouldn’t bother her as much if she asked V to do it for her instead of her doing it herself. i would really like to see that. it would further the bond and trust between her and V which is what is supposed to happen this season.
Niko - we all saw it coming, but like it still hit hard. i don’t like him but he didn’t deserve to go like that. he finally got away and was just trying to live his best life. RIP. that’s all i really have to say about that lol
OVERALL - i really didn’t like this episode the first time i watched it but watching it a second time really made me appreciate it more. that’s really how i’ve felt with all the episodes for season 3 so far. i can feel the season building up to something but i have no idea what that something is. i have a few theories like about Dasha and Konstantin but in terms of V and Eve, that could really go anywhere. but like i said, im not worried about Eve thinking V killed Niko. i’m worried about how this season will end for them. but we’ll see! we’re halfway through and i’m still really enjoying this season, i’m both excited and nervous about what the second half has to offer!

I’d Be Jealous Too
This is my piece for @wackydrabbles prompt #45 “I don’t hate you.”
Series: The Bones
Pairing: Bryce x Casey
Word Count: 1020 (I’m getting closer lmao)
Warnings: Just my usual cussing lol
All characters belong to Pixelberry
A/N: The title and inspiration for this came from the Dustin Lynch song of the same name.
“Don’t look now, but you have an admirer.”
Casey rolled her eyes at the woman across the table from her. “Seriously Jackie?”
“What?”
“I know Bryce is at the bar. You don’t have to announce it like it’s news.”
“That's not who I was talking about.” Jackie raised an eyebrow meaningfully and confusion settled over Casey.
“Then who are you talking about?”
“Oh, come on. Don’t be dense.”
“Don’t be a bitch.” Jackie threw her head back as she laughed much harder than was necessary causing Casey to narrow her eyes. When she had finally settled down, Casey asked again, “Who are you talking about?”
Jackie’s voice was full of skepticism as she commented, “I never believed you were as oblivious as everyone claimed. Are you telling me you really don’t know, Valentine?”
“Can you just drop the riddles and tell me what the fuck you’re talking about?”
“Okay, okay. Calm down. I'm just messing with you. Damn.”
Casey sighed quietly. “I know, I’m sorry. It’s just… it’s been a day.”
Jackie dismissed it with a wave of her hand. “Don’t worry about it. It's just no fun to mess with you when you're like this. Anyway, the who I was referring to…” she trailed off as Bryce slid back into the booth next to Casey.
“Since when do you let me interrupt you?”
“Um…” Jackie's eyes flitted back over to Casey's, silently asking her if she should continue.
“Jackie was just about to tell me about this admirer she thinks I have,” Casey supplied in answer to both Jackie and Bryce’s questions.
Bryce chuckled, “Oh, Ramsey's here, huh?”
“Wait… what?! Ok, seriously, somebody needs to tell me what the hell you guys are talking about. Right now.”
Bryce grabbed her hand underneath the table and laced their fingers together. When she tried to pull away, he squeezed just a little tighter before bringing their joined hands up so he could kiss her knuckles. No matter how frustrated with him she was, that simple little action always left her feeling all gooey inside and this time was no different. With a soft sigh, she melted into his side and he let go of her hand to wrap his arm around her shoulders. He kissed her temple then asked, “Should we show her some mercy, Jackie?”
“Oh, I suppose. I mean, she is literally the last to know…”
Knowing that getting riled up again would only encourage them to drag this out even longer, Casey just laid her head on his shoulder and snuggled in tighter against his side. After dropping a kiss onto the top of her head, Bryce relented, “Ok babe. We'll tell you.”
“Oh, how gracious of you both.”
“Oh, we know.”
“Anyway,” Bryce interrupted whatever retort Casey was about to make, “we're talking about Dr. Ramsey.”
“Yeah, I kinda got that. What I don’t know is the why. And what he has to do with my admirer.”
“Because is your admirer. He's been making eyes at you behind your back all night.” Jackie waggled her eyebrows suggestively.
“Would you guys stop it. This joke isn’t funny anymore.”
“Babe, we aren’t joking with you. Ramsey's got a thing for you. Has for quite a while now.”
Casey rolled her eyes. “Oh whatever. Just because he knew my name during first year doesn’t mean he has ‘a thing’ for me.”
Suddenly very serious, Jackie leaned across the table and said, “Casey, it's more than that. He goes out of his way to see you. He watches you when you aren’t paying attention. He looks at you with this longing in his eyes.”
“Guys. No.” She tried to pull back towards the corner of the booth but Bryce held her tight against him.
“Hey. It's ok.”
“No. No it’s not.” She managed to put enough space between her and Bryce so that she could look him in the eye. “I swear I didn’t…”
He reached up to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear and then let his hand rest against the side of her face. “Whoa. Babe. Slow down. I know you didn’t. Hell, I knew you didn’t even have a clue. And I know that he has too much respect for you to ever try something.”
Casey closed her eyes and leaned into his touch, letting his words settle her racing heart. The thought of something coming between her and Bryce terrified her. She already felt like she didn’t deserve him, so the thought that she would lose him over something she had no control of had almost sent her into a full-blown panic. “Please don’t hate me.”
“Shit. I was just trying to mess with you. I didn’t mean to freak you out. I don’t hate you. I could never hate you.”
Ignoring Jackie, Casey was focused only on Bryce when she opened her eyes. “Promise?”
“I promise. We're good.”
She brought her own hands up to his face to pull him close enough to brush her lips against his. It was a brief, but sweet kiss and they were both smiling as they rested their foreheads against each other. “I love you, Bryce.”
“I love you too, Casey.”
They stayed like that, lost in each other for several moments until something hitting the side of Casey’s face caused her to jump. When she saw the wadded-up napkin laying in her lap, she turned her glare on Jackie. “What the hell?”
“I didn’t come here to watch you two suck each other’s face all night.”
A devilish smirk moved across Casey's face as she saw an opportunity for some revenge. “Aww, my diagnosis is jealousy. Do you concur, Dr. Lahela?”
“I do, Dr. Valentine. What treatment plan do you suggest?”
“Screw you guys.” Shoving out of the booth, Jackie flipped them off as she headed towards the bar.
Once they were both done laughing at Jackie, Casey turned to Bryce and asked, “Seriously, though. How are you so okay with this?”
He simply shrugged as he replied, “Cause I'd be jealous too,” before leaning back into to kiss her, this time much deeper than the last.
