also again want to reiterate that this blog will always be a safe place for trans people. the uk supreme court ruling is so disappointing and scary but i promise that you are so completely valid in your identity.

do not give JKR any money! as a fandom we really need to be actively speaking out against JKR and her views. it is no longer enough to just head cannon marauders characters as trans. we need to be actively refuting her bigotry and refusing to give her any money or attention.

whether we like it or not, being in this fandom is actively popularising her works and giving her attention. that is why it is so important to be educating one another and speaking out.

Do you guys remember that Partyvan post about Barty wanting to taste Peter’s chapstick and Peter hands it to him but Barty kisses him and then makes Evan kiss him so he can taste it too?

Please consider that but Barty kisses him really messy with way too much tongue, especially for a quick kiss (he’s barty) and tells Evan to try and Ev kisses Peter really quick then a little harder and just stares at Barty and tells him he licked all of it off. Barty grabs the chapstick Peter was handing him (still hasn’t moved his hand!! He’s in shock!!) and puts it on Peter and Evan kisses him again and is like hm. You’re right. Then starts explaining in great detail exactly what they do to the chapstick to make it taste like that. Meanwhile Peter’s sitting there like ?????

i think it’s stupid for people to say peter was the excluded friend or that the rest of the marauders didn’t care / didn’t pay attention to him. i mean, james potter agreed to trust him with his LIFE. he and sirius preferred peter to be the secret keeper over REMUS. that boy wasn’t excluded.

we have a 16+ marauders era server! it’s fairly new, and a lot of characters are still open. the only current ones taken are :

james potter, remus lupin, sirius black, lily evans, barty crouch jr, evan rosier, pandora rosier, regulus black, bellatrix black, and albus dumbledore.

you can have up to two characters and as many oc’s as you want! (for now, at least.)

No. 1 spot obviously goes to Sirius Black. The composure he has even after escaping Azkaban. Ready to fight once again, right along with the people who thought the worst of him. Either he was so traumatized that he let in anyone who was offering him affection or he is so good a person that he offers forgiveness without making a big deal out of it.... But I think he is ready to be walked over. People take him for granted. Like he says regulus is the naive one. But are you really sure Sirius? Regulus lost his life because of the teaching of your parents and his loyalty to house black and Sirius, you yourself got killed because of your insurmountable loyalty to James and potters in general. Where is the difference. Only the sides are opposite. But the Obsession is the same...

No. 2 goes to Peter. Recently I have become intrigued with his life before his ultimate betrayal. Jkr often compares Neville to Peter. And Neville is a person we know had been ostracized in his own house and often became a laughing stock till 5th year. I get the feeling that he felt like an outsider among his own friends. What differentiate them is Peter was used to the crutch of his friends that is why when war made him lonely, he chose dark company. Neville on the other hand was used to being alone and not having supporter by anyone. Fighting alone for atleast the first 15 years of his life. That gave him an internal strength. I hc that in a no war Au, Peter would be the most successful out of all 4 of them. Like in terms of relationship, job, finance. I just think that he had yet to gain his footing and grow into his own person before war happened.

3rd place is James's. He is a grey shade character for sure. Always loved and pampered. Before war he never saw a bad day in his life. Never got no for an answer. Lily came along after all. Whatever he wants, he gets it. Either by luck or his determination. I like to read fics where we see the prince fall from grace. I just love seeing nothing going good in his life. To face real life struggles. Like you know what real people face. The problem that feels to easy when putting in words to explain someone but actually are all composing to the person who is dealing them. I don't like to read him having a wonderful life and then dying. That is boring to me.

4th place is Remus's. Listen on paper he is a character with a great background story. But fanon and wolfstar has spoiled him to me. Now I just feel irked whenever he is on page I am reading. Like he was a man dealing with so many mental issues and in any story the narrative is oh he is such a great man, he is smartest, he is tallest, he is bravest. Remus lupin is a dark creature. And creatures are raw, undefined in their real form. The way he hurts Harry in DH is a great insight of who he is. What he is capable of. The occasional bouts of aggression. The burts os sudden temper. Almost like he is bipolar. And in stories they show him as a cutie pie. No. Dealing with your own mental health issues and being friend or lover to such a person is difficult. Really really heavy. A person who just loves taking and taking unless you have nothing left. Wanting to be loved but always sure that he is unloved. Such people always create insecurities in the heart of their partners. Always telling them you deserve better. Like a reverse psychology. I would definitely love to read him as a toxic abusive husband and absent father.

Who: Evie & Peter @impcrios Where: St. Mungo's Break Room When: Early shift, a few days after the event

It had been a long shift, and Evie was exhausted. Things had somehow seemed crazier at the hospital and beyond than it had been last month. She had been called out to deal with an accident in the middle of the night, and it had taken up most of her shift. Now it was getting towards the end, and she was just ready to get home and collapse in her bed and sleep for twelve hours. She had been fantasizing about it for the last two hours. She dragged herself into the break room, relieved that she could leave soon. She spotted Peter already there and offered him a tired smile.

"Coming or going?" She asked curiously. Sometimes, it was hard to tell around here, especially with all the hours that they had been doing lately.

how do you think the marauders acted like to other ppl at hogwarts? like we know they bullied snape but we also know that despite james' and sirius' arrogance and status, they were still kind to remus and peter. plus, there was some line that lily i think said about james hexing ppl left and right. i mean we all know what those popular kids were like in school... and the marauders were pretty popular. by 7th year, we know james had changed. but how mean were they really do you think?

honestly i think they were about a little meaner than the average teenager, because in hbp remus mentioned that levicorpus (snape’s spell) was quite used by everyone during their years in hogwarts, and that it wasn’t unusual to have it used on yourself unknowingly.

i think that the privilege sirius and james grew up with definitely affected their perception on the world and on the other students, possibly a bit resembling draco malfoy; he made some quite nasty remarks at times and while i can’t really see james doing them (the potters were fiercely anti-muggleborn discrimination), we have seen a little bit of the blacks’ opinions in regards to their superiority and the inferiority of everyone else, so the younger members of their family might have had those values ingrained into their heads.

however, like you said, with time and being exposed to multiple views and diversity, they learnt and developed both as people and as members of society.

as in for remus and peter, i think that both of them were quite good people in school:

remus was most likely kind to most people as we have seen that that is his general attitude towards quite about anyone most times. he’s also a fly-under-the-radar person in order not to have his secret easy to access and i think that when he was a prefect, he might have let people (such as his friends) do whatever they wanted. (for his friends, it’s because they knew his secret and he considered that, with the possibility of making them abide to the rules, they will spill out — with other people it might or might not have happened).

with the people he knew, i feel like peter was thoughtful towards. however, most people considered him to be a “tag-along” or a “side character” for the marauders (we see this in poa, when they only remember peter for always being attached to sirius and james and for being, in their opinion, quite stupid).

Who: Daisy & Peter @impcriosWhere: St. Mungo's When: Blishwick Wing Grand Opening

Even though Daisy was only a few older than Peter and his friends, she often times felt like she was decades older after everything she had been through and lost. Somehow they seemed so much younger than she had been at their age and she wasn't so sure that she would have willingly joined the Order at twenty-four. They were braver than she was, she was quite sure of that. Daisy didn't think that she would have joined if Jasper was alive. They would have had a family to take care of, they had been talking about settling down and having kids before the accident. But now? Now Daisy was untethered to the mortal world, but she had to fight for Jasper.

"So this is where you spend all your time," Daisy mused, stepping up beside Peter. "They did a nice job with making it look pretty. I bet this place doesn't usually look like this, huh?" She asked curiously.

Made these for a school project. I wanted to make an interactive poster with pranksters from different famdoms on it.

It took me a bit to figure out the mechanical side of those pull out strips but it was pretty fun.

Of course one of the first people I thought about were Fred & George Weasley. Picking their best stunt proved to be hard so I went with their final prank that they pulled before leaving Hogwarts.

The next group was also fairly easy as they are some of the best. As for best prank, there weren't many pranks explicitly mentioned but one of their biggest accomplishments is becoming animagi so I went with that. This interactive mechanic was not too hard material wise but I had to actively make it and modify it as I went instead of designing it in my head and sketching it out first.

The Stoll brothers were the next pair in mind, as they remind me a little of the Weasley twins I ended up putting an envelope that I folded myself next to it together with a golden mango cut-out and a note.

One of their biggest or most epic pranks I could find was an incident where they had thrown a mango into the Aphrodite cabin that they spray-painted gold, along with a note saying 'for the hottest' as a reference to the start of the war of Troje.

The next one might not have been as expected, but I couldn't help but remember Techno's stunt of canonically tricking Skeppy into completing the death maze that Awesamdude had left for him and I thought that it definitely deserved a spot. So, I took screenshots of the maze entrance before and after Techno had broken the sign that had his name on it and cut out the block that had the sign on it and created a little flap. If you close it, it has the sign on it and if you open it, you can see a blank block.

It was by far the easiest to make, but no less fun.

This one has a quite humorous context, I'll admit. I really just wanted to draw Luke, so I tried to think of an excuse other than 'He's a child of Hermes'. I ended up with the reasoning that the cursed shoes he gives Percy could be counted as a quite sick, messed-up prank. I will be the first to admit how fucked that is to call it a prank (very reminiscent of 'it's just a prank, bro') so the quote on the pull out stroke is actually about me lol I literally told myself "I am so going to Tartarus for this" and decided it was the perfect quote to use.

Since haunt season is coming back up, I want to share something I thought about last season.

The Marauders as haunt workers

I think we all know that Remus would be the one wandering actor who everyone goes to see. A lot of people would flirt with him (Sirius included) despite him being covered in gore. He'd do really well in common areas as an actor to just fill the space. His character might seem like it's such an obvious choice, but he would actually be a plague doctor, and I stand by that. He'd try to be nice to young children, but rude teenagers, he has the BEST dialogue to deal with them.

Sirius would be great in a hayride or in a haunted house. He would be all for the roles other people don't want. I'm thinking prisoner in a haunted jail (too soon?) He would eat that role up. Probably a lot of inspiration from The Joker, but sometimes the best inspiration is the obvious one. He has the perfect laugh, so also maybe a clown some nights? He'd probably think clowns are overdone, though. And he'd be right. But they are a classic, most places have them, and they keep bringing in crowds. In character flirting with Remus? Every time they see each other at work. Every time.

James could be a great actor, but I also think he'd be a great ticket taker. Either way, he has a very guiding but intimidating presence. As an actor, he'd randomly appear and disappear at different points in the haunt, he'd be great at not giving away scares while still being present for them. Haunted mansion, anyone? If he was a ticket taker, creepy dialogue for sure. "Here they come," "see you on the other side," stuff like that that's just slightly off-putting.

Peter definitely works consessions because it's far enough away from the haunts while still seeing some actors in the common area. He'd give Remus free drinks every time he came up. Honestly, consessions is such a chill job, you get the haunt worker experience without too much pain. He'd laugh at Sirius complaining about his bruises, especially if Sirius worked hayride, those bruises get nasty.

Lily would either be a ticket taker or a makeup artist. She would regularly talk to the actors, but might be a little creeped out when they make their character noises at her. She'd take a lot of convincing to work at a haunt, but she would love it.

Regulus, I think, would make a great "victim" character. Think the one good character in a haunt who is being trapped by the other characters, the weeping person chained alone in a room, stuff like that. He'd pull it off so well. Another option is haunted mansion again. He'd be the perfect Victorian ghost. He can probably scream like a banshee, might if he gets bored/overwhelmed.

Barty deserves to be put in a corn maze or in a cannibal haunt. Somewhere he can act absolutely deranged. He's got that psycho laugh and enjoys banging on whatever is around. Just a silly little dude.

Evan is either exclusively a makeup artist, or he does makeup and works in the common area with Remus. Either way, he's that one makeup artist everyone wants to go to, he's definitely got the creepiest makeup but he really has absolutely no idea what he's doing until he's done. His character would probably be a well-known media character, like Ghostface.

Marlene probably also does makeup, but I think she'd also really enjoy acting and would insist on doing it every night. She'd actually like the clowns, unlike Sirius. 100% a slider, if you don't know what that is, go look of videos of haunt sliders. Definitely has a child/doll-like character, too. She would have a full backstory for her character, and she'd tell any customer that asks.

I don't really have anything for Mary or Dorcas, but I do for Pandora. She would play a lost character in the haunted mansion, like a ghost who doesn't know they're dead yet. She'd probably hang out with Regulus on slow nights, and they've definitely had to scramble to get back to their spots in time before.

Just uploaded Chapter 4 of my Peter-perspective fic. I haven’t updated this in nearly a year, and i’ve moved on from the fandom, but i had fun writing this and might continue it for fun. I’m not far in yet, but if i do end up continuing this, then it’ll eventually go to explain the motif behind why peter did what he did in cannon.

Sometimes Hogwarts seemed decades ago. It had all been a lot easier when they were still in school. Family drama didn't seem so important and good grades were the most important things in the end, just so your parents wouldn't complain. Cress was pulled from her thoughts when she realised that Peter had slowed down and suddenly asked her something. "Hard decision to make? Just to be sure... We are talking regarding my decision about my family, right?" A subject that Cressida rather not mentioned but maybe she could make an exception.

He turned his head to look at her when she explained and gave her new surname, nodding his head once as he'd read something about it in The Daily Prophet not too long ago. "Right, a McLaggen. We did have lots of fun." The wizard agreed with a smile, the time spent at Hogwarts the best of his life. However, Peter's mind wondered, his steps slowing down a bit as he decided to ask the question that had popped in his head. "Was it a hard decision to make?"
