Dean swims in and out of consciousness, the sounds of screaming and the building falling apart ringing in his ears. It was hot, like the pits of hell. He could hear his name amongst the chaos, but the voice kept getting further and further away, quickly drowned out by the sounds of flames cracking. Then, there's suddenly nothing at all. A sea of darkness that he was stuck in until a melodical beeping made itself known. It pulls him in for a moment, and then he returns to the emptiness, only for this process to be repeated for hours. He could sense people around him, an unbelievable pain searing through his body. Then it all stops again. His eyes flutter open, met with the dull light of fluorescent bulbs. That same beeping returned, and at this point, it was starting to annoy him. Although whatever was pumping in his system was pretty nice, everything around him was a blurry blissfulness. He manages to turn his head to the side, catching the faint image of someone beside him. It made him smile despite how lopsided it must have looked. "Damn." His voice is low, hoarse and raspy. "Who are you, so fine standing at my bedside." He tries to laugh, but he's so out of it he can hardly manage it. He knew he recognised her, but the medication coursing through his veins kept him from connecting the dots. All he knew was how absurdly gorgeous she was. He liked her, a lot, he thought. "You here to walk me in to heaven or what." His voice drags along slowly, trying to move his limbs, but they felt heavy. It was like he was drowning in a pool of cement. "I need...to find someone." He drawls out, trying to force himself to sit up in bed. "I gotta find her, I gotta make sure she's okay."
