Starting with Liz. Firstly, she is a bisexual disaster so jot that down. She's got a bit of a rocky relationship with love, and is generally kinda bad at it.

Her first situationship was with her best friend Amata when she was a young teen growing up in the vault. Being as vault 101 was closed off to the world, she knew from a pretty young age that she would grow up and marry one of the boys her age and have a family to keep the vault going. She didn't like it, but she accepted that it was just the reality of being the last ditch effort of human survival after the great war. So when she had feelings for her best friend who was the Overseer's daughter, she never really acknowledged them in full. They'd sneak around, and be generally stupid repressed teens, not talking about or acknowledging the very very romantic relationship laying just under their friendship.

And then Liz's dad left, and she had to flee the vault. And Amata was suddenly locked away behind a 3ft solid lead door and Liz was alone, heartbroken about her family and grieving a home she was pretty sure she'd never see again.

I do think she had a few hookups over the years while looking for her dad. Being the Lone Wanderer though I don't think any of them were anything more than a way to experience human touch for just a night.

Not until Sarah Lyons pulled her sorry butt out of the super mutant infested ruins of D.C. whisking her away to safety in all her bad ass power armor clad glory. Liz's relationship with Amata was definitely mutal and they were close enough in proximity that Liz never had a chance to experience a real crush, so Sarah was her first crush. (Lowkey same. Who isn't a sucker for a woman in power armor?)

Of course if you've played fallout 3, there's a lot of more important stuff going on with the Brotherhood of Steel, and the Enclave, and Project Purity. And unfortunately a violent political struggle to bring clean water to a wasteland is not the most stable environment for any kind of relationship. They have a solid friendship, Sarah was there immediately after Liz's dad died, she was a source of strength and motivation for Liz to keep going until Project Purity was activated.

In the end though, Sarah was wounded when Project Purity was activated and Liz felt directly responsible and guilty. And on top of that Sarah had her responsibilities to the Brotherhood, and Liz just couldn't keep throwing herself into the line of fire for them after her parent's dream was realized. (fuck you Broken Steel dlc, you're only kinda in my canon)

Which leaves end game. Butch Deloria my beloved. Because after everything, after losing her dad and her home and being completely on her own for so long, Liz gets the distress signal from Amata. She goes back home, she sees the people she grew up with dead or wounded and fighting each other over wether to brave the wastes. And Amata has the heartwrenching audacity to ask for her help and then make her leave again. And once again she's on the outside of that door, but this time she has Butch mother fucking Deloria in her wake. He's annoying, hes an ass, he doesnt understand why the hell she'd want to crawl back into the vault, and he's gonna end up yao guai food if she doesn't escort his pompus ass back to civilization. So she drags him back to Megaton, with every intention of leaving him on his own. He wanted out into the wastes so bad? Great. He can fend for himself. He was nothing but an ass and a bully to her their entire lives and she couldn't give a shit what he gets himself in to. Until he's at her door in the middle of the night, begging her to get him out of this crater and teach him how the hell to survive. So she reluctantly lets him start tagging along when she goes out scavanging or doing her usual rpg protagonist fetch quests. They go from "Ill teach you to shoot a radroach and not die from rads", to reluctant traveling companions, to frienemies, to having a drunken hookup that turns into more than one drunken hookup that turns into a frienemies with benifits situation. Then they both start catching feelings, to which Liz's response is to ignore entirely like she did with Amata, because surely this is never going anywhere. And Butch's response is to freak his shit, be the biggest asshole in the world, and make a big show of definitely being into other people and definitely going and sleeping with someone else (he doesnt actually because he does have feelings and its very frustrating for him, but he still makes Liz think he slept with someone else because she definitely cant know he has feelings of any kind)

This prompts a silent fight between the two, because they are not emotionally stable or mature enough to talk like adults. Then Liz gets the radio signal for the Pitt dlc and she leaves for Pittsburg by herself for months. Then she comes back, she almost died, shes traumatized af, theres lots of angst, Butch is still a big dumb idiot and an asshole but also he fumbles through being some kind of support system. I could go on and on and on about this its literally all ive been thinking about since February.

End goal: enemies to frienemies to friends with benifits to friends to lovers hooray! <3

Now that one super long winded OC romantic history is broadly laid out, time for BEAN!

Im gonna keeps hers a bit shorter, partly because I haven't been in the final fantasy brainrot for a min. (If anyone else has gotten this far, spoiler warnings for the end of Heavensward and Shadowbringers)

Bean has two canons. One where she finds Ystola in La Noscea and becomes the Warrior of Light, and one where she meets my wife's character and does the not that.

Basic Bean backstory, she was raised on a pirate ship. In both canons she feels trapped and runs away from her crew. In both canons, she had a heartbreaking affair with a woman who was a passanger on her ship who played with her young heart and left.

In non WoL canon my wife's OC Michiko books passage on that ship, and when Bean runs away from her crew she tags along with Michi and they fall in love and I draw pics of them smooching for my wife ❤️

In WoL canon tho, it's for obvious reasons more complicated. Her first love, like many WoLs, is our dearest most beloved Haurchefant. Bean is super oblivious, and when first meeting him did not even realize he was flirting with her (much to Alphinaud's entertainment/annoyance)

Then shortly after taking refuge in house Fortemps he makes a proper move and it hits her and she stumbles headfirst into his advances. She's already feeling very out of depth with Ishgaurdian high society and now a knight is wooing her. Its all very sweet and endearing.

Then he dies :)

I think after that, she gets wrapped up in WoL stuff. She's gotta help fight a war, Zenos is a scary creep, she's bonding with the twins and the scions and Hien. She's liberating two whole nations. Very busy work, not much time for any suitors calmoring for attention from the WoL (also again shes oblivious to most of any of it)

Then enter all the horrors and emotional whiplash that is Shdowbringers :3

And the best part of shadowbringers? Thats right babey, Graha Tia is Bean's true love intrest ❤️

They're both so cool and mysterious and capable, except actually theyre giant nerds who hardly function without the people around them holding them together. Graha is a fanboy, and Bean is embarrassed. He's the damsel in distress and shes fighting so hard to save him, and then he sacrifices himself at the top of the crystal tower. Its just *chef's kiss*

I have stagnated in my MSQ half way through Endwalker, so idk where theyre going after that, but man oh man do I think about that one scene where Graha and Alisaie are fighting over who lives her more for a sec before Y'stola steps in. And Bean is just so fuckin happy she gets to bring him on her next adventure 🥺 (and im crying typing that)

As for Sage, I am still working out their identity. Im leaning towards them being aromantic and besides loving to flirt with pretty girls I'll probably give them a queer platonic relationship with my Courier. That or they'll be smitten with Veronica or Cassidy. Probably some mix of both. I asked my magic 8 ball and it said "try again later"

Liz: gun maintenance and repair. When she was fresh out of the vault, learning to survive, Moira taught her a lot about fixing old junk and maintaining her current junk. She's also an excellent lockpick, and collects Nuka Cola memorabilia (keychains, tshirts, a metal sign or two for her shack. She gets on great with Sierra Petrovita)

Bean: she sews, she cooks, she can wood work, she plays the hurdy gurdy. Baby girl grew up on a boat, and she can do just about anything crafty that may come in handy for fixing sails and rigging masts and what have you. (Yes i am a baby omnicrafter, why do you ask?) She is also a huge fan of exploration, she loves fine artisan craftsmanship, and is big on climbing things not meant to be climbed. I am counting that as a hobby, yes.

Sage: explosives and mechanics. They grew up with the Boomers, who are a faction that worships bombs and explosives. So they love blowing stuff up big time :3

But more than that they're deeply fascinated with the mechanics of how machines and explosives work. They love poking around old robots and coming up with different gizmos.

Knock Out is a support main, obviously. He's a petty and mean one, not speaking from experience. He claims to be an Ana main but has more hours in Moira because if someone on his team spams the "I need healing" too many times, he'll just swap and dps as Moira. Oh, he also doesn't take kindly to e-begging for his nano and will throw it at his dps while their are still in spawn and waste it. He also heavily criticizes everyone on his team (except Breakdown) and won't critique his own gameplay. He also has been reported for abusive chat a few times....He's toxic and has a level 1 endorsement rating.

Breakdown would play tank. Not because he'd have a real interest in the game itself but Knock Out wants him to so, well, he'll learn how to play tank. I think he'd lean into bulkier tanks like Hog, Mauga and maybe Zarya?? He's not into the shield tanks as much and he would hate dive meta. But he has played a considerable amount of Rein because, once again, Knock Out asked. ("Come on, big guy. AnaRein is the meta!" <- ignores the fact it was the meta like 4 years ago)

Neither of them are good at the game. Breakdown is marginally better in the stats but its because Knock Out has a problem of feeding and trying to 1 v 1 dps he has no business 1 v 1- again, not speaking from experience. They work together great but the rest of their team? Well, its their team's fault, not theirs.

Oh, they also have cringe e-dater matching usernames. Not quite the his tank, his support combo but something equally as dumb. Probably pun based tbh.
