taking the fact that ribbon’s name is ribbon entirely too far (and going off their designs) i think it’d be cool if ripple star fashions leaned into frills, bows, and long or exaggerated silhouettes

since the planet is literally just a heart shape i imagine their aesthetics lean into that sort of romantic and elegant vibe. a lot of ivory, pinks, and reds

(ripple dresses up a little different to see her friends tho)

also flower and butterfly motifs. because they’re fairies of course <3

think it’d be a little ironic if butterflies were a symbol of beauty and all that…

also she’s friends with carol and dedede. they can go to pta meetings or something /j

btw ripple star probably exports a lot of silks (because silkworms in a land of butterflies feels right) and luxury items whereas dreamland is more agriculture focused + maybe some livestock and furs

…yeah i’m saying these places reflect their rulers basically. ripple star can be a little more traditional and whatnot. that’s what makes ripple so endeared to her dreamland friends—they’re silly! and yeah, tragic princess angle, it’s my favorite trope—i think that would really pull at her heart

i won’t get into that right now, but i gotta imagine getting possessed gives you a lot to think about lol

there is something bewitching about kazuma, i knew and understood why people went crazy over him long before i played this game, but experiencing it first hand is like a transcendental event. it’s not even just because he’s cool and smart and handsome because a lot of characters are those things both in tgaa and otherwise, but he has some kind of aura, this is why the hachimaki billowed so, he’s literally got a presence and accompanying vibe so strong it acts as the wind and i can feel it through my screen, please tell me you understand and feel it too

He does not know why he acts in such manner; It is as if something else was in control at times, hindering from acting upon learned principle instead of instinct. Alas, not a movement was made as he listens to her voice; Hands held up almost defensively whilst pale, ghost-like gazes fixates upon chocolate brown.

At her query, his own hand comes to point at the center of his chest; Looming above her frame, he towers with imposing height whilst staring down at the blonde. "Here." His answer comes simply, head tilted in turn. "You're all open right here." Despite strange words, the baritone of his voice remains monotone in voice — As if he was unaffected by said statements, yet it deeply did. There was this pull. To consume. To touch. To experience. It was strange but unquestionable. "I can feel it . . . It's been long since I felt it so strongly with someone."

Swallowing at the next question, his adam's apple bobs with unspoken tension; Brows knitting as something short of a frown colors his scarred features. "I am . . . I think." Nothing had changed, has it? He tries to convince himself even if he knows it to be false. "I was a long time ago. Much has changed . . . " A pause. "But so are you, right? I can smell it on you. AWH man you are too sweet!!! 🥺🥺🥺 honestly i've been blown away by how much interaction stuff i've been posting here has gotten considering i started fresh on this blog only like a few months ago, i'm glad people have been liking the stuff i make!!

and okay so like i DID go to school for art but it wasn't like, a fancy big name Art School or anything like that, it was just the arts program at a liberal arts college in my area (and my focus was more on graphic design and printmaking rather than illustration) but i did definitely still learn a lot there!

i think my main tips with art are perhaps pretty simple/obvious things but like...

Practice (like, experimenting with different things! or even drawing the same thing over and over! just going through the motions of making art and trying stuff out is a really great way to improve)

Look at other people's art (im a huge superhero comics fan so i spend a lot of my time looking at the art in those, and trying to mimic elements of things i like to then incorporate into my work—and usually what i do doesn't end up looking exactly the same which is good, i kinda get to create my own version inspired by the art of others!)

+ Don't be afraid of using references (i use TONS of references! i will often deviate from them rather than just mimicking them 1:1, but having something to use as a starting point or for practice so you can get a grasp on how certain things [people, positions, lighting, materials, etc] look is SO helpful!)

and YEAH... being here since 2011 on and off has been a wild ride. i've seen the SP fandom in so many different phases over all that time, but it's cool especially as an artist because... i've been drawing these characters since back then! so i can put my old art side by side with the new stuff to see how far i've come!!

for example: the first stan and kyle here was posted on deviantart in like november 2011 so... like 13.5ish years ago vs one of my recent ones
