hello hello! here is part 2 as promised. there are less characters than I hoped to write, but in exchange each blurb is a little longer than pt.1 !

Q. Could you describe your relationship with (Y/N)?

🦌 Bane rubs his chin, tracing his memory. "Hm... Indeed, I'm familiar with that name. I'd suppose that's someone I knew when I worked for the DeRosses." He crosses his arms with a low, contemplative grunt, as if struggling to remember anything else. "I'd need a photograph." I happen to have a couple on hand, and he takes them gently. A long period of silence follows. After leafing through the photos for some time, he says: "I remember. They were always talking about marriage." With you? "Mm. I was never interested, but I never said no. Eventually I made them a ring from a scrap of iron. I hoped they'd stop visiting me if I satisfied them... It's too dangerous to come to the forest everyday." Then he reaches into his pocket, pulling out a ring of his own. "In exchange, they gave one back." He's been cherishing it all this time, even when he'd forgotten its origin.

🪼 Ivy - "I'm no stranger to feeling like I'm missing my other half, you know. That sense of loss is one of the only constants I have left. (Y/N) fills my emptiness, and without them it increases twofold." I open my mouth to ask, Do you think you could be soulmates? but then my eyes dart to the Yithian and I realize my mistake. Sorry, was that insensitive? Ivy is not amused with my implication that she might be interested in claiming (Y/N)'s soul. "My dear interviewer, I am a scholar, not a monster. Whatever you're insinuating, you're gravely mistaken."

🤡 Joker's face suddenly hardens, in spite of the fragile, twiddling-thumbs demeanor he'd shown me thus far. His hands ball into shaking fists and his lips purse, as if he's psyching himself up for a fight. Are you okay? I ask, preemptively guarding myself with my clipboard. Tears brim his eyes and the strength falls from his shoulders. He mutters out, "All I wanted was to be their sword and shield, their angel of light, and they left me out of my mind. Hahaha... Wanna know the biggest joke of all? I'd let them drive me crazy all over again."

🦎 Luchino's mouth stretches into a lazy grin. "That one's a cutie, eh? Had the pleasure of meeting them yet?" I shake my head, reminding him that (Y/N) is the focus of my current investigation. I guess his laidback attitude fooled me into saying too much. He promptly straightens his back, the smile fading. "Yeah... Yeah, from one researcher to another, I get the intrigue," he says. "But I can't say I fancy another guy using my love as a test subject."

🪞 Mary - "Do you take pleasure in nosing around a lady's private affairs? I'd expect more tact, even for an interviewer." The chill in her tone startles me. I sputter out something in my defense, but Mary huffs and waves me into silence. "(Y/N) is enjoying the privilege of being my right-hand. They're my favorite one so far, too. I dismissed the others without a second thought."

🤕 Naib - "On good terms." Wringing out any insightful answers from this man is tougher than I thought. In hopes of inspiring more of a reaction, I tell a small lie: When I interviewed (Y/N), they described a rather colorful affection for you... Almost immediately, Naib breaks eye contact and crosses his arms. But I still only get a guttural "Hm." in response. Can you confirm if this is true? I press. His answer is, once again, a curt "Hm." (Slightly more affirmative, I would say).

🕯️ Philippe - "My work has always stood as a testament to my love," he caresses the wax figure grafted onto his shoulder, "but shielding someone in life is a far greater challenge than honoring my losses. My worries are endless." Suddenly reminded of his sister's tragedy, I offer a sympathetic smile. Do you believe (Y/N) is in danger? Philippe returns my smile, though I can't make out the intent. "Of course. Evil lurks around every corner. At the very least, it won't reach them while I'm around."

🎭 Sangria - A fond smile graces her face as she recounts her memory. "It was clear to me after some time that I had disastrously entranced them." Then she adds, lightly, "I hadn't meant to, of course. At the time, I thought, I'm not looking for love—no, I'd had enough of it all—but soon, their smile would appear in my mind every time I sang. When someone gives you that much inspiration? You'd be a fool to let them go." She has a playful tone of voice, but I can tell (Y/N) means a great deal to her.

Mirror Mirror 🪞

So I read this man’s route. The translated version provided by @aishangotome it was so good! There’s quite a few translations on their page. Go check it out!! 😄 It took me a couple days to process what I read because I binged the entire thing, including both endings 🤣 this is a mess of a post 🙈 the rest of this post will contain spoilers, if that’s not something you want to see please scroll away 😂 anyway thank you @aishangotome for your translation work! Now let’s talk about the man in question, Alfons

The tragic fate attached to his curse is exactly what I thought it would be, to be forgotten by everyone who knew him after he dies. I can only imagine how painful that is. Lots of people nearing death tend to talk about their memories a lot and often I’ve heard them say “I’ll be remembered for x,y,z”, Alfons can’t have that… well, not completely… I like that the writers added the part of Roger and Kate doing some research of people who were involved with someone who has the mirror curse. It opened up another avenue, the name and face may be forgotten but the impact the cursed one had on the other person is not. In fact it leaves the person with a sense of emptiness, like they’ve forgotten something important. While that can be painful, it also means that the life of the cursed one matters, they’re important. I can imagine that no one wants to leave their loved ones with that kind of pain, a pain that will never really heal over time because they’ll always be wondering what/who their forgetting and that could potentially lead to always trying to find answers. It can potentially drive a person crazy. Despite all that, I think I agree with Kate. All of that pain and suffering is worth it. Sure you end up making memories that you’ll eventually forget and you’ll forget the important person but, your body and emotions don’t forget, it’s still actively being felt. That’s why Alfons loving Kate means tearing her life to shreds, leaving unforgettable marks on her entire being. It’s also why he’d prefer to die after her, he genuinely doesn’t want to be forgotten by her. I think in the fake wedding event epilogue she says something about dying together 🤔 I can’t quite remember.

Moving on! The way he goes about using his abilities doesn’t strike me as “evil” necessarily. On his personal time I mean!! He’s certainly making criminals go mad as part of his judgement on them 😂 although it’s a bit twisted, the way he makes himself available for random people to use his power is a form of care. It’s not good to run away from the reality of a situation but many times people wish they could. That’s kind of where addictions and bad habits come from. But even if it’s not that extreme, reading a favorite book, watching a favorite show, playing a game, etc. are also ways to escape reality for a while. I like the way the character Alfons basically encompasses the idea of escapism. It’s an extreme version of something everyone does in their own way. I’ve always loved how writers have the ability to create a whole new world where you can just get lost in. It’s what inspires my career choice and seeing people’s reactions to anime, games, stories, etc. continues to motivate me. I’d love to help create a world one day for people to enjoy. Reading Alfons’s route weirdly motivated me more 😂 without moderation, anything can become an addiction, but it’s sometimes hard to create these moderations. Alfons always makes himself available, his free time is literally dedicated to sex addicts behind a bar and people in the east side(?) of London. Moderation is not in that man’s vocabulary 🤣 He can say it’s for entertainment all he wants but I think he’s somewhat genuinely concerned 😂 he’s like a drug though, have a small taste and you end up wanting more and more.

I don’t particularly like the man’s personality but I understand it a lot better now. I can somewhat respect it but thats it 🤣 His lifestyle choice truly is understandable after reading his story and the “why” behind it all pulls at my heart a bit. Honestly the way he found out about his curse and fate did not help at all 😂 like young Roger had absolutely no consideration when he dropped the info on him. To young Roger it was like “a new subject!” Damn, what if he would’ve turned out a little different had young Roger just gone about it a different way. I believe this is the reason they don’t get along(?) it’s my understanding at least. When the route comes out in English I’m looking forward to reading his side stories to get to know him even more. I definitely find him interesting from a writing perspective. Great character concept and execution!

AH! I forgot to touch on the Elbert/Alfons dynamic. They’re so cute 🥰 you can really tell they care for each other. With their silly bets, Alfons leaving Elbert a handwritten note, and just other things 🤭 it’s great

Kinktober 2022 Introduction

Introduction (You can also find this story on my AO3. I am uploading to Tumblr for the first time- bear with me)

This is my first time participating in a Kinktober event. This is also my first time writing a group of oneshots with almost no plot or multiple parts. And also, the first time writing outside of my comfort zone. 

However, despite all of these 'firsts', I hope that you find at least a few chapters that you guys like- as I didn't stick with one particular fandom group so there might be some characters you either don't know or don't like. 

I think I only covered five fandoms: Twilight, Marvel, Harry Potter, TVD/TO, and Fruits Basket (anime). I was thinking of maybe doing Black Butler too, but I wanted to do two of each person (although I only did one Kingsley and one Shigure) so I didn't have room. However, I do plan on doing kinktober every year for. . . forever? So maybe I'll do Black Butler next year. 

Keep in mind that as I will be doing another one next year, you can request at the end of this book favorite characters or a character you might like to see with a certain kink. Preferably the characters already used in this one (Black Butler I only will do Sebastian and Claude). 

Also, I'm supposed to say 18+ only on this. As I was 17 when I was reading smut, I don't mind so much if you're like 16 or 17 reading this. I would prefer that you be 18 at least however. Despite this, if you are younger, it's not like I'm going to know unless you comment it. If you do comment anything that might make me think you're younger than 18, I'm supposed to block you (Wattpad rules). Please don't make me do this- I have been banned from a story before and it was one of the worst feelings in the world. I love comments, but just don't make me think that you're younger than 18. In the Japanese server, Ellis is currently the newest one released. The order of the rest is currently unknown. However, I assume that Roger will be second to last or last because he is researching curses and he's bound to betray. Victor is likely the last because he represents the Grim Reaper, or rather, Death. On top of that, Cybird paths tend to get darker as they go on.

I've been wondering, do people not use the term "headmate" anymore, and if so, why? I used to see it go by all the time in system related posts and now that I've been realizing might be part of a system myself (still learning the terminology though) I think it might describe like. The other parts of me better than "alters" but if it's a problematic term I don't want to use it? I'm still very new to all this and I've been nervous to look into it because I've been in denial about it for a long time. If you can't answer that's OK! I'm able to do my own research too, it's just something I realized when I noticed I never see the term anymore it seems.

Many people still use the terms "headmate" - but I do agree with you, it is rarer nowadays to see people using "headmate" as a catch-all. Nowadays, I think the common catch-all is "system member". It does not mean the word "headmate" has become offensive - it just means the plural internet users we see prefer other terms nowadays. I think it's a linguistic shift akin to English-speaking people using "genderqueer" as an umbrella term in the 1990s and 2000s, and "nonbinary" in 2010s and 2020s.

This is anecdotal, but I remember, just a few years ago, it was seen as more polite to use "headmate" as a catch-all in plural communities. Why? Because "headmate" is considered more neutral than "alter/part" (which have medical connotations) or "soulbond" (which have spiritual connotations). The use of "headmate" is not a jab against people who are more medical or spiritual, but it is usually preferred in large spaces where we can't know who uses which terms. It's like people using "they/them" as a default in queer/LGBTQIA+ spaces - it's polite, but of course, not every person prefer it individually.

(also, the medical and spiritual are not necessarily separate for many plurals)

Neither of the above terms is "problematic" - the only time it's problematic is if you use a term for someone, when they already said they don't want it used on them.

It all comes down to personal preference - what feels right to you (all).

Any plural is allowed to have label preferences. Some collectives can prefer "plural", some "multiple", some "system", others "collective", others prefer a combination (like "plural system"), and more. Same as individuals. Some prefer "system member", others prefer "part", some prefer "soulbond", others use more than one for themselves. Some prefer being called "you", others "you&" or "you+", etc.

(For example, I myself prefer "system member", "headmate", and "walk-in".)

So yes, you are allowed to prefer the term "headmate" over "alter". Anyone is.

1. YOU GET TO DISCOVER NEW OPTIONS—AND YOURSELF 🪞

Without deliberately writing down your desires, you’re more likely to overlook much of what life has to offer you. Exploring, whether through talking to others or doing some online research, can reveal possibilities you have forgotten about or never knew existed. Feel free to be creative and have fun as you brainstorm. Devise categories, graphics, priorities, etc. The following questions will hopefully help jumpstart your thinking:

What do you like to do physically?

What hobbies are you interested in?

Do you want to develop a skill?

What projects you want to accomplish?

In what way would you most enjoy helping others?

Do you want to save a certain amount of money for something?

What are your academic goals, short and long term?

After writing down everything that seems appealing to you, look for patterns. What themes do you see? What types of personality traits or skills seem to recur? Focus on these ideas as they are most likely to represent the authentic you. Pick a manageable number of goals, maybe three short term and three long term, to develop first. Then write down one action step you can take today to move a little closer toward a goal. Even the smallest step will establish direction and momentum.

3. YOU GAIN NEW MOTIVATION TO MOVE FORWARD 🏃🏻

With goals, you are no longer just going through the motions of attending class, studying, and doing whatever else you think is expected of you. Rather, you have a self-generated source of motivation. To tap into it, try writing down why you want to accomplish certain things. Is it to feel a sense of purpose? To feel joy? To make money? Epsilon ⏰ Our only known fictive, so far removed from her source she is unrecognizable! A Time Lady of Gallifrey, survivor of the Time War, medic and mechanic, she is our mother figure, caretaker, and favourite backseat driver. When she fronts, we don't emote much and speak in a freakishly flat tone, and she doesn't experience many emotions! We love that for her /gen

Angel 🪽 Self-identified persecutor, he is also our oldest friend. Angel is the only member of our system who isn't atheist/agnostic, which is indeed a little weird. Nonhuman, a little creepy, rarely fronts, suspected trauma holder... Being of divine love and divine justice. And catholic Guilt. Whoops.

Miles feels at home there, always a manipulator and very interested in the use of dreams and mirrors to achieve goals against others (they're the one doing the shoving into the Mirror-Marches lol rip). It's also a place that inner monstrousness is reflected outside.
