Amity did not give her real reasonings why she was not asleep so it just sounded like her sister was jumping to her own conclusions. She squinted at her under the blanket though there was no way Emira would see it. She’d have to give her a little bit of endearing credit for thinking that; however, some of the creatures around in her life could be alarming, but they were just everyday things. This was fiction written by supposedly humans.

Day 0

The day of the surgery went very well. Me, my mom, and my gf took the train at around 7, so i could check in at reformkliniken at 9, im very happy that we were so close by so i didnt have to deal with hotels or anything right after surgery.

Reformkliniken doesnt allow any guests, so i had to check in by myself, but luckily the nurse was very very nice. After i had filled out a form abt my health and stuff, she showed me to my room, and then to the bathroom where i took a shower and changed into their robe and their slippers (which were sooo fucking soft omggg).

After that there were a lot of just waiting, where i got more and more nervous and excited. I tried stimming a bit, which helped, but i had a roomate so i didnt really feel comfortable to stim loudly :/

At around 12 a guy came in to put a cannula in my arm (which went very well, i have great veins). He was also really sweet and talked a lot with me to keep me distracted from all the needle stuff. The they took my roomate away to surgery, and i had to wait some more, in which i ofc became more and more nervous and excited. I started to feel completely electric, and luckily i remembered to stim.

Then the nice guy came in with some pills (some painkillers and anti-nausea pills i think, i couldnt really focus at that point), and a little while after that they asked me to go to the toilet, and then i was suddenly being escorted to the operation room. I had been pretty scared that i would get a panic attack or something when i finally realised that they were actually gonna cut me up and stuff, but luckily it all happened so fast that i stayed completely calm throughout it.

The last thing i remember was the very nice receptionist (?) holding my hand while i went to sleep, it was actually a really comforting experience. Then i woke up and was very very tired and woozy (and wrote some pretty incomprehensible stuff to my girlfriend)

They gave me some time to recover from the anasthesia (which i did pretty quickly), and then i was picked up by both my parents and my girlfriend (my dad had to come and drive us cuz my mom was worried she wouldnt be able to focus after i had just had surgery) and driven home. I wasnt really in any pain at that point, just had some nausea and wooziness.

I couldnt really eat anything, and ended up throwing a bunch of stomach acid up at around midnight.
