Jason leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed as he watched you hunched over your desk, completely lost in whatever project had captured your attention this time. The empty coffee cup and untouched plate of food from earlier sat forgotten to the side.

"Babe," he called in a soft but firm voice. No response.

He sighed and pushed off the frame, walking over and crouching down next to you. "Hey, genius, when's the last time you ate?"

Your fingers paused mid-motion and you blinked at him as if just realising that he existed. "Uh... breakfast?"

"That was seven hours ago." He arched a brow. Without waiting for an argument, he grabbed a protein bar from his pocket and pressed it into your hand.

"Jason, I'm fine. I'll eat when I'm done."

"Nope, you're eating this protein bar." He stood leaning against the desk as he cross his arms again. "I'm not moving until you take a bite. And don't think I won't escalate to spoonfeeding you."

You rolled your eyes but unwrapped the bar, taking a bite just to appease him. Jason gave you a satisfied smirk.

"See? That wasn't so hard. Now finish that, and I'll make us a real meal to eat. You're no good to your project if you pass out on it."

As he turned to leave, you mumbled, "Bossy."

"Damn right," he smiled over his shoulder, already heading to the kitchen.

Little Love time

I'm sorry that I'm keeping talk about it, but can we talk about how Tim is a totally differrent person with Lucy?

We all know Tim Bradford is litteraly the most strict cop at the police station in LA and rookies are damn scared of him. For those years of his career as a cop he's builded some respect and authority that people do not want to risk to pissed off. Not even mentioned the fact what he has been through with his abusive father and as a soldier in army. He really did learn his lessons from a truly dark side.

Than Lucy Chen did came into his life. Young beautiful woman with the biggest heart and the softest soul in the planet. As her TO he was just trying to make her a good cop and being strict with all those Tim Tests and code of Honor was the way he believe she could make it 'til the end. Well, to be honest, it did worked out, tha's true, but what he did NOT excpected was she would make it even and after every Tim Test there always was some Lucy Lesson. And most important that she would help him deal with the tragedies from his life like Isabels addiction and divorce, realtionships with his sister, studying for a sergeants exam.

She's always been there for him no matter what and helped him. Yes, he never asked, and tha's even more beautiful. She was like the light he needed for a very long time to help him see clearly and get some bright side to his life too. Or when she gave him hug and he feels like he's back home. Everytime he melts and let his guards down ONLY for her is the sweetest thing I've ever seen on him.

BTW I can also imagine how they fell asleep like big and little spoon and guess who's the little spoon?

That's probably the reason that everytime he's around her, because she's the woman he can't imagine his life without her and she's the only person that knows better than anyone what can truly help him.

The Space Between Us

Warnings: Angst with no happy ending sorry

Jason Todd had always been good at letting people go. He told himself it was a survival skill, something you learned when the world took more from you than it gave. But as he stood in the doorway of your apartment, his hands trembling at his sides, he realized that letting you go would break something in him that could never be repaired.

“Say something,” you whispered, your voice fragile in the heavy silence.

Jason’s jaw tightened, the words caught in his throat like shards of glass. He couldn’t look at you — not when the hurt in your eyes mirrored the pain clawing at his chest.

“I can’t do this anymore,” you said, your voice cracking. “I can’t keep watching you destroy yourself. I thought if I stayed, if I loved you enough, I could fix it, but... you don’t want to be fixed, do you?”

“That’s not fair,” Jason muttered, his voice was low and strained.

“Fair?” You laughed bitterly and wiped at your eyes. “None of this is fair, Jason. I gave you everything, and all you’ve done is push me away. Every time I try to help, you shut me out. Every time I think I’ve reached you, you disappear.”

“I was trying to protect you,” he said, his voice rising, frustration spilling over.

“Protect me from what? You?” you shot back, your eyes blazing. “Because that’s what it feels like. Like you’re so afraid of letting me in, of being vulnerable, that you’d rather destroy us than risk—”

“Risk losing you,” Jason interrupted, his voice raw. “Do you get that? Do you understand what it’s like to love someone so much that you’re terrified of what you’ll do to them?”

You froze, your breath hitching. “Jason...”

He shook his head, his hands clenching into fists. “I’m not good, okay? I’m not the kind of person who gets to have someone like you. And I can’t keep pretending that I am. You deserve someone who can love you without ruining you.”

Your heart broke at the quiet resignation in his voice. “You’re not ruining me, Jason. You’re ruining yourself.”

For a moment, the two of you just stood there, the weight of everything unsaid pressing down like a storm about to break. Jason’s eyes met yours, and in them, you saw a war he’d been fighting for far longer than you’d known him.

“I’m sorry,” he said finally, his voice barely audible. “But I can’t be what you need.”

You swallowed hard, the tears streaming down your face blurring your vision. “Don’t do this,” you pleaded, your voice shaking. “Don’t walk away from us.”

But Jason just stepped back, his expression unreadable. “You’ll thank me someday,” he said, though it sounded like he was trying to convince himself more than you.

And then he turned and walked out the door, leaving behind nothing but the echo of his footsteps and the hollow ache in your chest.

You stood there for what felt like hours, staring at the empty space where he’d been, waiting for him to come back. But Jason Todd had always been good at letting people go.

And this time, he let you go too.
