I'd been thinking about greed, and that's it's not only about money, but also the feeling of having tons of stuff, even silly things.... so i like to think that mammon at least ONCE he made like a bird nest (bcuz crow boy i guess) with many stolen stuff from his brothers or other students in RAD

I definitely think greed can be about anything, really. I think of greed as this insatiable need for something, no matter what it is, just the desire to have more and more and more of it. It's just that a lot of people are greedy for money lol. And that's probably one of the more destructive things to be greedy about.

However, I really love the idea that Mammon's greed manifests in other ways. I can't remember if it's ever implied in the game that he tends to collect stuff like that. More often they talk about how he's stealing stuff so that he can then sell it. He certainly buys things he likes for himself, but that's still not quite the same.

I personally headcanon that he does collect things from people and there's definitely that crow mentality behind it. And I know that's not a unique to me headcanon lol I'm pretty sure I've seen other people talk about it, too! Mostly because it does seem like something he would do, it fits well with his character.

My MC deliberately picks things up in their day to day to give to him. Any coins they find, shiny things, pretty things, anything that just makes them think oh Mammon would like this. So they end up with a bunch of junk in their pockets or bag.

I also really love the idea that he keeps it all in a little hoard in his room. Though if it's a nest maybe he sleeps on the pile too?? Just imagine Lucifer walking in and finding Mammon talking about money in his sleep while he's curled up on a pile of missing stuff from all the brothers and MC and other RAD students. I like to think Lucifer is aware of it, but pretends he knows nothing.

Anyway, this is a very cute idea and it should be canon.

Tons of it. Mingzhu hesitated for a bit before flying to the window of a building and stepping off the cloud to cling to the a ledge the widow provided with relative ease.

She looked in though the window, asking Paramita. “So, any plan for this…? Maybe we could take what you know about your Princess Iron Fan and use it to infer where we could find her hoard here…”

Kouko's Backstory

This is going to be a long post, so click keep reading to see more! 🍵

Kouko Yoshida is a former princess of a bountiful kingdom, known for it's prosperity and good harvests. Lots of agriculture, crops, cattle, all that stuff. She grows up beloved by her people, and just as much so by her parents, who, with help from assistants, take care of her and her baby sister, Fuyuko.

She's described as a very mellow and levelheaded child, even if she definitely had her occasionally mischievous moments, especially when it was shenanigans involving guards of the castle she was already close with. The head guard and her had their fair share of chaos they got into when he wasn't actively working, essentially being a second father figure for her and teaching her skills she hadn't have learned otherwise, even playfully fake-sword fighting with her. She was extremely easy to handle unless she got into too playful of a mood, and normally, was extremely calm and polite, as warm as the hues of autumn.

Unfortunately not all good things last, and after long enough, her normalcy and home crumbled beneath her feet. A hoard of demons seized the castle, and after taking out a majority of the external guards they had managed to get inside and started it burning. Kouko, as the older sister prioritized her sister Fuyuko's safety above hers near immediately, doing the best she could as a child, only twelve, to keep five year old Fuyuko safe and hidden, while also trying to stealthily find her parents in the chaos. She came across her father, collapsed and dying under fallen debris. His final words are for her and Fuyuko to get out and find the guards, who would do their best to take them to safety.

Now with more reason and drive, still yet to immediately process the grief of her father dying in front of her, Kouko rushes to search for an exit, even if the majority she finds is blocked with rubble or furniture she can't move, or is still crawling with demons searching for more people to take out. It's only once she catches sight of her mother hiding around a corner that she has even the slightest glimmer of hope they'll make it out, as she hurries to try to discreetly run to her side, carrying a terrified Fuyuko. Kouko's mother tells her an exit she saw that wasn't blocked off, and that they need to follow her to safety, and god knows Kouko does, praying that even possibly at least three of four members of her family would make it out alive.

She doesn't blame her mother for taking Fuyuko before they got out, but once they try to make a run for it, her mother, having already been injured by falling chunks of wood in the castle, was slower than Kouko and her had expected her to be, and still holding little Fuyuko, she was attacked by a demon that heard her pained breathing.

Kouko barely made it out with her life, only managing to narrowly escape by scrambling away into the nearby forest, and hiding in a cluster of rocks, only then having the horrific realization that she not only lost her family and home, but seemingly her entire life's direction. Who was she without her family? Could she have saved any of them? All of this hung heavy over her head for years, until she managed to scrape together a new goal to follow to give her life purpose. Finding the demon who killed her family and left her kingdom decimated, and avenging them by taking their life.

And now we're here. Years later, with our modern demon slayer Kouko.

Kouko post-attack, became much more secluded and cold, even if her warm nature was still definitely there under the layers of emotional callouses and trauma. No matter how standoffish she is, she still stops her journeying to feed stray dogs, give slices of fruit to horses in stables she passes, and shares her rations with young children in towns she comes across with a smile on her face. She doesn't embrace her former title of princess, after all, it's essentially null with her kingdom being destroyed. She'd rather not think about it at all, near all together leaving her royal past behind. She's now taken on a new title given to her by people she's met on her adventures that she takes much more comfort in, 'The Sapphire Swordmaiden'. She went from a flowing kimono, lovingly detailed with warm Persimmons and soft matcha greens, to an easier outfit to move in, and definitely nothing that seemed fit for royalty. With her long hair now tied back into a tight bun, with strands of curly hair still hanging down, she just looks like a different person. Whether just to hide her original identity, or to simply cope with her loss.

She's gotten good at hunting demons, primarily using a sword she had grabbed from the head guard's remains the single time she ever went back to her destroyed home. After the attack, she near entirely despises any demon she comes across, nowadays this mostly shining through with her being unnerved by if not occasionally scared of Shippo, and hesitant to interact with Kirara, instead preferring to stay near her horse.

She focused heavily on three things in her years after the attack. Stamina, Stealth, and Building Muscle. Is she buff? Absolutely, even if in a more lean manner. And her growing to be as tall and bulky as her father came in handy during her years of training. So nowadays? She's a bit of a tank, with the scars to show for it. She may have a sword, but it's likely that it's not uncommon for her to throw a punch or two. She has an insane drive and determination for things she sets her mind to, even if she's usually fairly aloof about most things otherwise.

also, I know there's Wisteria's archetypes for each combo, but it would be cool if there was an animal/mythological creature assigned to each combo, because I realized recently, as a snake/bird, that I can really relate to dragons; my snake primary is incredibly possessive of My People and everything else I consider to be Mine, and my bird secondary loves collecting shiny things, ESPECIALLY gifts from my people. I just feel like a dragon metaphorically hoarding precious things and it makes me feel very warm and happy

Sadly I know way too little about folklore, fairy tales, or mythical creatures to dive into this with you. I just recently learned about Domovyky for a larp. They are household spirits in slavic folklore, and I think they'll make good snake primaries, since they protect their chosen family. Or maybe more badgers, since they are also connected to a family's ancestors, and that's more a badger thing.

Maybe I'll think of more later, when my head is not hurting so much.

I think that’s one of the most insidious things about drugs like meth. I spent a lot of time in the rave scene around people you didn’t even know that their entire life revolved around speed. I’m sure it can be way worse in the online gaming scene. Aside from the gabber records and tooth grinding smile or the all night mmorpg raids you’d never tell the difference. You can always tell it is fake behind the eyes. Nobody smiles that much when they’re poor. And a lot were rich off selling it illegally. But couldn’t ever pay their bills on time. They hid it in shaving cream cans and toothpaste. Had their entire life wrapped up in a backpack. They’d always be on the ball and have the right answer for everything then fall asleep for a day and a half. They could write and argue for hours and then forget what they were even arguing about. Always seemed so happy but did some evil shit without even thinking then smiled it away. I’ve lived near enough of those kind of addicts for years. Weird hoarding behavior. The group think hive mind mentality. Judging first so they’ll never be found out. Thinking they’re communicating without speaking at all. Incessantly religious and impervious to any sort of counter argument. It’s harder to tell that behavior online. Especially when it gets normalized by people who have infinite energy to “act” cool. Or come up with conspiracy after conspiracy to deflect attention from their addictive behavior. But maybe that’s why the breaking bad fandom outweighs the Steven universe apologists on here. Or why Logan Paul sells energy drinks to children. I like black coffee as much as the next person. But besides that I’m dead sober and not too bothered by it. I’d rather pass a drug test than go broke complaining about it. 🍵

🐉 Behavior Headcanons ☄️

listen... dragon's gotta dragon. He's got some hoarding tendencies when he's little! Sue him. Zhongli can be prone to sneaking off with assorted 'favorites', and then pretending their lost in order to get a new one- which leads to some lengthy, lengthy searches to make sure he's not lying this time he says he lost his favorite blankie.

Also collects rocks on the rare occasion. Why? Who knows! But it's heartbreakingly sweet to receive a particularly shiny pebble on a bad day, just to show he really does care about you a whole awful lot.

Clingy and bitey. Get used to absent gnawing and chewing on your shoulder or arm while swaddling him because he won't let go. It doesn't exactly hurt, like at all, but still- slobber is a very real thing, and it's not pleasant.

LOADS of paci's and chewlery of all kinds. It's the easiest way to get him to stop nibbling on you while you're not looking.

likes blankies a lot! like, a lot a lot. Also thoroughly enjoys being swaddled! And pretty easy to put to bed if you need to, a swaddle and a hug and something to chew on and he is out like a light. Just snorin away with not a care in the world 💤
