Can anyone tell me why lesboys/turigirls/gaybians are so hated in the queer community when the entire point of this community is to be yourselves and destroy gender norms?

Aren’t we supposed to be supporting every form of queerness, even weird and confusing forms, and continuing to break down those societal pressures around sexuality?

Everyone preaches inclusivity, freedom, and equality, and tells you to be queer and proud! Until you’re too queer. Until your queerness can’t just be boiled down to “boy who likes girls” or “nonbinary who likes girls”. Sometimes gender and sexuality are twisted up and combined together, sometimes they’re complicated. Sometimes gender isn’t one feeling, but a bunch of tiny feelings. Sometimes gender is several things at once.

So why is all of that so easy to accept… until it comes to lesboys/turigirls/gaybians? Why is it so hard to understand that I’m both a boy and a girl who is gay for men and lesbian for women? Using the terms I use gives me euphoria. And why is it okay to take my euphoria from me when you just don’t want to understand my identity?

The same arguments I see thrown around attacking lesboys have been used against neopronouns and xenogenders. But now xeno/neo users are LITERALLY using those arguments against other identities. How does that make sense??

🌹- Make an edit based off whoever is currently in front. For a challenge make an edit based off everyone in front, if there are multiple.

Not to be dramatic, but the way I’ve been treated the last few weeks purely because I’ve started using different terms to describe my sexuality and gender has been so fucking shocking.

I am treated like an outcast in my OWN community. The community that preaches inclusivity and loving all kinds of queerness has purposefully excluded me, demonized my queerness, and made me feel unwelcome in one of the only places I’ve ever felt accepted. The way some of you treat your fellow queers shocks me.

The way you will so eagerly embrace and defend xenogenders, neopronouns, gender non conformity, and then turn around and demonize lesboys, turigirls, gaybians, trans male lesbians, intersex gays. Anyone who is “too queer” for you is hated and “invalid”. It’s disgusting.

The infighting this community has fostered is horrifying. Realizing that the one space where we are supposed to embrace and uplift each other is becoming a battleground of who can be the most valid has been upsetting and exhausting.

When will this community realize that you do not get to pick and choose who is queer enough for your liking. All queers are welcome in the lgbtq and mogai communities. ALL QUEERS. Unless they are genuinely harming someone, there is no reason for you to be exclusionary towards them.

It’s so wrong not to include a cisgender perisex trans man, but it’s perfectly fine to exclude an intersex transfem lesbian? It’s wrong to exclude trans women, but it’s perfectly fine to exclude lesboys and turigirls who may be trans or intersex.

You cannot pick and choose who you want in your community. You can hate certain people all you want. You can disagree with how they identify all you want. But you do not get to erase us and silence us.

Komonomimi "describes humanoid characters that possess animal-like features, mainly a pair of ears and a tail." The term CAN be used on spiritual figures but is not limited to them! ^_^ It is just a human/humanoid wearing tails or ears. Btw, using turigirl/lesboy is extremely invalid and very offensive LMFAO. Hi! Way to be disrespectful and small minded twice in one ask!

First of all, kemonomimis are creatures. They don’t dress up. They’re… like, born with animal features. And let’s make it clear that I am an indigenous Japanese person! (as in, I’m not wajin. I’m ainu.) I grew up learning about kemonomimi creatures and hearing stories about them and doing certain practices because of them. You don’t get to tell me what it means to be a kemonomimi because 1, I am one, and 2, I’m Japanese. If I tell you not to use a word from MY language in a certain way, then you listen. I’ve had multiple other Japanese and Asian people tell me they feel the same way.

Second of all, no, I am not bisexual, straight, or a woman. I’m an intersex person who identifies as both male and female simultaneously. Because of that, my attraction to women is queer (lesbian) and my attraction to men is queer (gay). I am not “using gay men for my fake sexualities”. Get over yourself. Turigirls, lesboys, and gaybians have BEEN around and have BEEN accepted into gay and lesbian spaces because they ARE valid. You can be mad all you want, but I’m very comfortable in my labels. Calling myself a gay girl or a lesboy or a gaybian gives me immense gender euphoria! And you do not get to take that away from me just because my gender is confusing. That’s life. People are confusing. So instead of telling me what’s right or wrong and how I “actually” identify, maybe ask how that works? Ask what I mean by gaybian or turigirl or lesboy. Don’t assume I’m a straight woman? Because for god’s sake that’s insanely insensitive.

And, lastly, the idea that lesbian = women only loving women and gay = men only loving men comes from TERFs trying to invalidate trans women and men, especially trans women of color. Lesbianism is queer attraction to women, and gayness is queer attraction to men. Don’t police other’s identities and act like you’re doing what’s best for them. It’s weird.

Game Grumps have done a lot of… unsavory things. My biggest issue with them is what they did to WanWan Dev (DingDongVG and Julian Marcel). They lied about them, were homophobic to them both, and almost led one of them to commit sui after he got outed to his family (because of game grumps fans.)

Game grumps apologized, deleted their apology, and have since acted like nothing happened. They’ve done other things too but there’s too many to list here LOL
