this post is too long but i actually have an update about the diary texture i found 👁 (repost for your convenience ⬇)

while trying to read what it said i knew i had heard it somewhere before, because there are actually voicelines of shtopor (female-voice version) reading it out:

"bandit leader" is the ingame title for the character mitya (or jimmy in the english dub), therefore it seems most likely that the diary is mitya's

i cannot find any evidence that these voicelines or the diary page exist in the game itself (they did not appear in an asset search of the levels and does not appear in the subtitles file), though i think that's quite strange considering they went through the effort to translate it to english

For my new and beginning modders out there,

So as I’m sure that there are some people out there that have absolutely no idea where to begin with adding custom scars and makeup to their characters (like me), I’m gonna make a little resource list here with what many of you recommended for me to use myself and have helped me on how to make them but also how to import them to penumbra/textools so they show up in game.

@/SilentBunny on kofi/glamour dresser makes custom scars packs for nearly everyone and has also made this super useful guide on how to add them to the pngs and jpegs of you character. I have used this a million and four times to use as reference cause it really does break everything down in simple terms so that it’s easy to follow. A real life saver honestly, don’t think I could have finished any of these mods without their guide.

As you know many are using Penumbra as their go to mod directory and I am the same. While silentbunny goes into how they used textools to install their custom textures, they recommend this guide on how to install it in penumbra which was a perfect guide on how to add your mods to your character. Honestly slientbunny has just been one big help for me in general lol so kisses to you. 

I hope this helps out modders out there and makes the making of custom mods much more easier and accessible for you. To creating!
