Sorry for the grammatical mistakes, and don't hesitate to tell me if the dialogues sound strange, I'm trying to improve my english! Anyway, this afternoon I relized I wasn't convinced by the meeting in the series, I think the confrontation is a bit forced and devoid of real convincing speeches. So I tried to rewrite a part of the episode. What do you think? Are Vaggie and Charlie convincing enough in this version? Would you listen to them or did you prefere the Amazon writing?

I legit made this in the span of maybe 4 hours burning the midnight oil because I had brought the big Alastor and big HuskerDust for Amir and Blake at this con. I sat there just thinking "holy crap, I don't have anything for Erika!" Charlie and Vaggie are not my normal go-to's but I decided this paper-cut looking method on the FLY and it turned out dope and she loved it.

I'm super proud of that damn shield.

There was one fear that stuck with her since the battle ended. It wasn't over the recent rebuild of the Hazbin Hotel, or the new occupants staying with them. However, none of them were actual guests looking for redemption. With all they lost during the final battle with the exorcists, she couldn't blame anyone for losing interest in pursuing that right now. It would take time to prove their hotel was a safe haven for sinners, including from potential future angel attacks.

No, the only thing recently on her mind was Alastor.

Only a couple of days passed since the fight and despite the radio demon trying to stay hidden from everyone, something was off about him. His skin seemed a little more pale than usual, and his movements slower. It was such a subtle change that no one else seemed to pick up on the signs of it, but she did.

Okay, so maybe it was more of an obsession, really. Not with him specifically, but with everyone who fought by her side that day. She tended to watch each one of them closer, observing them for any hints that their health might be in jeopardy. She was thankful that none of them seemed to express any symptoms -- Angel, Husk, Vaggie, Niffty, her father or Cherri. All of them were fine.

Except, that was, for Alastor.

Her obsession grew. She tried to spend as much time as she could with him, using any excuse available to her at the time, no matter how miniscule they were. If they were enough to keep him in her sight a little bit longer, they were good enough. But, unfortunately, because it was Alastor, he tended to disappear at a moment's notice in the shadows, easily able to escape her pursuit.

Instead, she tried to think back to the battle. She remembered the moment Adam invaded the hotel, which was the first sign that something was wrong with him, and how that during the rest of the battle, no one saw Alastor again. It wasn't until the very end during the reconstruction that he materialized, acting completely normal. But that was impossible!

He had to of been hurt by Adam! It was the only explanation for how it went down. The moment played back over and over in her head, until it was all she could think about.

Why wouldn't Alastor simply come forward if he was hurt?! They were supposed to be friends! More than that, partners throughout the entire endeavor of the hotel. He supported her dreams since day one, even if they hadn't always been with the best intentions, but still, that meant they supported each other!

The thought of him suffering alone was enough to slowly drive her mad, to the point where she thought she'd genuinely start losing blond hair, whether by stress or ripping it out herself in frustration. It was what finally compelled her to march straight to his room and knock loudly on it. "Alastor? Are you in there?"

She paused briefly, wearing her bottom lip beneath her teeth as she made a decision. She had to be confident if she was going to find out the truth once and for all, force him to be honest with her, finally. So, without further preamble, she tried the doorknob to let herself inside. "I'm coming in!" was the only warning she offered.

While her reasoning for asking is fair, it is not fair enough for him to want to answer, and he is thankful she opts to not push the matter. Any speaking of his family is nearly always a no-go; he was here, now, and why dwell on a past long since forgotten, hm?

Though . . . he had never considered the fact that she'd never seen Earth. It is strange to think that there are those who have spent their entire existence here, Hell being all they've seen and all they have ever known.

When people try to summarize the Charlastor / Radiobelle ship as "the older man has a romantic relationship with the younger woman he is manipulating" Whereas Charlie is canonically much older than Alastor. But it's a good try. Also, I don't even see why there are debates about the age difference between these two. They are both adults and technically immortal.

"Angel!" Charlie exclaimed, beckoning the spider over with so much enthusiasm that it looked like she might explode. "Santa is here to see you!"

From his spot in the doorway, Valentino towered over Angel, trying not to sway too much on his feet. Everything looked extra weird without his heart glasses on, and it didn't help that he was sweating under the fake beard and hat that he'd added upon the so-called outfit that was his coat-wings.

Even Valentino had to confess that this plan of his was as stupid as heck. Maybe the Vees being so mad at him that they didn't want to celebrate Christmas (or Sinsmas) with him was a sign that he shouldn't have celebrated at all. He should have just hit the bar or something. Now he had to convince Angel, a grown adult SINNER, that he was Santa Claus. It was easy enough to get Charlie on board, because she was born in Hell and had no idea what Santa was supposed to actually look like... but Angel?

Val had his work cut out for him.

"Uh... hi." Val coughed. Then he put on his best Santa voice. "I mean, HO HO HO."

Charlie grasped onto Angel's arm and squealed, "He said the thing!"

This was the one part she had feared about the party. Despite being royalty, it wasn't often she was invited to these sort of affairs -- the parties, or get-togethers that the high-class threw. Some of the Seven Deadly Sin were there by invitation, including her dad, and the invitation had extended to her as a result. Normally, she ignored them, but this time, thanks to some persistence from her friends, she decided to accept on behalf of the hotel. It was a tremendous opportunity to advertise the progress of her hotel and the residents who resided there.

Since Vaggie wasn't able to join, she invited the next best companion available: Alastor. Who better to help advertise the hotel than her hotelier?

But when it came to dancing, she barely knew one foot from the other. She hadn't planned on engaging in the activity, so when elongated claws slipped between her fingers and pulled her towards the dance floor, shock raced through her. Golden eyes turned up towards him in surprise. "Alastor?"

Right. In a brief instance, she was reminded that this was an activity that brought the radio demon real joy, not the kind that came from the screams of the souls he tormented. The reminder made a bright smile fill her face. He deserved this kind of fun, so for him, she supposed she could spare a dance or two.

She went willingly, letting him lead her to the dance floor, trying not to laugh at his quiet insistence. "I'm soooo sorry if I step on you! I'm not very good at this, for warning." She wanted to apologize in advance and give him a proper warning that now was his chance to back off if he didn't want his feet being crushed by her.

"I wanted to thank you for coming to this with me. I know all of this--," she waved her hand around the room, "--can be a lot of socializing. It means a lot to me that you could make it." She never would've had the guts to face it on her own.
