Why do people think depicting a character feel sadness or pain makes them soft or uwu baby or less evil at all. All people experience emotions. Being able to depict the emotions of an evil person and explore how that relates to their henious actions and how people all have the full range of human emotions and still commit atrocities is complex and good writing actually

And its not like people never mischaracterize a villian but people seem to think that just showing them Having Emotion is doing so and im like. I promise serial killers and human traffickers in real life cry and feel sad and can be hurt and abused as well. They may not want you to Know that but they are still people and writing characters that way is what makes them realistic and not just a flat cartoon villian whoes evil just cause

Nothing happened, just been on my mind. A sentiment I've seen (over a long span of time— this is not about anyone!) is that people don't like people doing the same plot with different people and that's kind of unavoidable if you choose to write in any of my AUs because they already have a set plot. Things will be different between muns and there will be unique twists that are only for us, but if we both decide to write in the same AU with the same characters, there are going to be similar plot beats.

I also just feel like people should be able to do the same plot multiple times if they want to, especially if their partners went inactive. Imo it isn't replacing anybody because you're still doing it a new way, with a different version of the muse who is gonna act different and have different headcanons. Idk. I feel like there needs to be a more optimistic outlook on this. Same with shipping with many of the same character. In my head it's like I want to explore things as many times as I can with as many versions as I can because I view everyone's version as unique and interesting and I wanna see how that plays against my characters. If I'm shipping my Alastor with multiple Pentiouses it's because I think every Pentious is cool and has something new to offer and wanna see how it will differ.

Obviously taking things you developed with someone else and their unique headcanons is bad and shouldn't be done this is just like basic plot ideas or AUS that already have something of a set storyline and pre-established character dynamics. Or ships.

The basic gist is Val's manipulation of Angel / 'teaching a parakeet to talk' here means teaching Angel to love him: Val acts up, says he loves him, acts up, says he loves him < "same words, same phrase, repeats over and over and over."

It's inspired by the tables at Rainforest Cafe.
