Doesn’t the book mention she designs houses and has designed/redone many of the Cullen residences. I may be mistaken but I think I remember her working in some capacity for some time as an architect. I also have a personal hc that she takes an avid interest in gardening (this may be somewhat canon but I haven’t read the books in a while) and music.

It would probably take him a bit for him to talk to you rather your mates or not, this was the first time he actually felt shy around a woman. He would steal glances at you all the time at work and admire you from a far.

You would always smile at him and be so kind and gentle. That being said you actually asked him out, that pissed off the whole femal staff of the hospital. You so confidently asked him to see a movie with you and he immediately said yes.

Ok, this may be a bit angsty but it’s still a favourite HC of mine.

Every year on the run up to Esme’s transformation anniversary and days before where she lost her baby, Carlisle makes sure that each of The Cullen ‘children’ spend time individually with Esme.

He sits them all down when they join the family and has a conversation with each of them, once the familial relationship is established, and asks them to think of an activity that both the individual and Esme would enjoy together. He asks them to humour him, and feed into her wanted role of mother, even with Jasper who while deeply respects and cares for Carlisle/Esme, probably doesn’t see them as ‘mum’ and ‘dad’.

The whole week, each member of the family spends time with Esme, making her feel loved, wanted and *needed*. They let her fuss over them, fixing their clothing, their hair (Edward’s), without any complaints. She *needs* this.

At the end of the day, Carlisle happily sits and listens to Esme talk and reminisce about her days with her family. She lights up, her family mean everything to her. His heart expands, he doesn’t think he can love his ‘children’ any more in this moment for what they have done for his wife, his mate; making her light up and find moments of happiness in a time that is filled with loss, tragedy and grief for her.

On the day of the anniversary, Carlisle is there. He holds her, he lets her dry sob, he lets her mourn in anyway she feels like it. He doesn’t try to take away her pain. He’ll never understand that kind of loss and he won’t try to. But he is there. Some years, she wants to sit in silence with her fading human memories thinking of the short time she had with her son. Some years, she wants to scream and run and run and run. Other years, she’s kept busy and plants flowers in his memory, sketches or daydreams about what he would look like growing up. She sometimes doesn’t want to talk about it, she sometimes doesn’t want to be held or “pitied”. But he stays by her, letting her know silently, or through touch or conversation that he is there, whatever she may need him.

When she is finally able to, she hugs him back and kisses his cheek. No words needed. She is so grateful to this man who time and time again stands by her side, who has saved her life over. Who has given her a life of happiness and love when she felt so hopeless, lost and desperate. She will never stop forgetting her son, but she can now allow herself to feel hopeful, content and spread the love she has to her family, with her husband, her mate.

I have been writing Edward for a long time. I have a very specific interpretation of him and I often draw on many other media when it comes to his characterization. I often compare him to both Dr. Frankenstein and his monster, as well as the Horatio Alger myth, among other stories and legends. Additionally, I draw on a variety of sources when it comes to vampire lore, including Stoker’s Dracula, the Blade comics, Anne Rice’s vampire compendium, the Castlevania animated series and video game, and others. This portrayal does not see Edward as a misogynistic ass, nor is he a virgin or entirely inexperienced when it comes to relationships. In fact, he dated several celebrities prior to Bella, who he will not namedrop, and had a boyfriend for a brief time in the 90s. Also, he doesn’t fucking sparkle.

Edward is very much so an empathetic man. This is most certainly due to his telepathy, but he is also incredibly emotionally driven. Though he mercifully remembers very little of his human life prior to being turned, his biological father had fostered toxic masculinity and aggression in the Masen household. However, what was driven into him as a boy growing up human very quickly was replaced by the gentle and sensitive nature that Carlisle exuded and passed onto Edward as he grew as both a vampire and man. So much of who Edward is, is thanks to Carlisle and, later, Esme.

He is a certified pilot. He has his private pilot license, which he obtained in the 90s. He owns a Cessna 172 in a privately owned hangar. He doesn’t talk about this too much, but if one were to find out and ask about it, he could talk about flying for hours.

He watches in the reflection of your mirror as you squeeze your eyes shut, almost af if it would hide you from the world. If he wasn't so worried about you right now he'd chuckle at the sincerity and childishness at it.

"Bad day, Darlin?" he tries again, and you hum back in response - unable to get your voice to work right now.

At that, he's kicking off his shoes and climbing into bed with you, turning your lamp on as he goes so you can see him. Her pulls you close to him and holds you tight.

You hesitate, but ultimately shake your head no.

His thumb rubs soothing circles into your side and the sniffles die down eventually. "I'll let you have tonight, but I want you to talk to me tomorrow. Is that okay, sugar?" his accent becomes a bit thicker in the vulnerable moment.

Signifies Jasper's gift of empathy and control of emotions.

White Flags were used during the Civil War to end it, a way to show they have surrendered.

Not only does those lyrics signify the Civil War, it could also be a metaphor for Jasper; he's given up that part of his life.

He doesn't want to let it corrupt him any further because he's guilty for playing a part in taking so many lives.

So, in turn, he's put up white flags to surrender and hope to start over; become a better person, vampire.

For some reason I feel like this song definitely reminds me of Esme because of the meaning behind the song.

I think when Bella is finally introduced to the family she's quite jelouse of Edward's relationship with you, there's no real incureties to it, she just doesn't want girls hanging around Edward.

Bella also thinks your plan and shy, there's off hand comments on how she's discribes you, Edward on the other hand discribes you as happy, humorous, and so beautiful.

You guys are always throwing harmful comments to each other and Bella usually takes it too far.

You also hate how she's treats her father. She always gets mad and says it's none of your business and you have no idea what you were talking about.

-i feel like Alice is a kiddo regressor. she’s very curious and loves to explore!!

-although i don’t think all the Cullen kids are (consistent) regressors, i think that all of them have regressed at least once. the combined parent/cg energy of Carlisle and Esme is just That Strong
