saving a loved one was hard. especially someone who you truly loved with all your heart.

seeing oliver die in front of your two organ of sight made your heart quench leaving thousands of blood cells through the drain. you always tried sacrificing yourself but ended up failing at the end, you hated it and wished you could try harder.

time by time you started to give up saving him, being hopeless as days, weeks, months passes through. despite being a time traveller yourself ━━━━━ you felt like your powers draining.

but that still didn't stop you from saving from the danger the holds beyond him.

instead of him ceasing to exist, it was you who ceased from the embodiments of the universe and the nature.

you had no choice afterall, you kept trying and trying to tell him that going there was danger and such, he is clever but he isn't that clever to listen to your warnings.

as much as you hate or you're scared of dying, it was the other way around for you.

finally revealing the truth to him that you kept saving him from the danger, he froze from shock and disbelief. he didn't believe it, he didn't believe you at first, not until you finally said your final words before your soul leaves your flesh and bones.

“ at last, i had finally seek a world where you will live happily with your relatives and such. ill always love you oliver from the bottom of my heart. see you in the afterlife. ,,

was the last words that he heard from you.

there is something horrifically grim to it, but illustrations for gaza and palestinians tend to catch more mass attention that actual photos of people. this made me feel incredibly helpless for a long while, seeing both how people would rather look at a neat drawing of red black green and white than look a human in the eyes, and how online platforms would rather push a viral drawing while suppressing those begging for help at the same time.

a way to cope with this feeling has been taking advantage of it to directly guide people to helping palestinians.

if art gets better traction, then there’s an incredible amount of good that can be done by creating art that immediately links to fundraisers. creating art of the many images of those who are asking for help.

within hours of posting my drawing, there has been jumps in the thousands for bashar from gaza’s fundraiser. it’s a small effort in the grand scheme of things. it’s not a fix it. but it’s something good. please take care of each other and do what you can. i think this could help a lot of people if a lot of people did it.
