Okay but what about all the technically nicknamed avengers ticking off one another by calling them their given names. Just going at each other like:

“What the fuck Anthony”

“Don't look at me! It’s not my fault, James”

“Yeah, come on guys it’s clearly Steven's fault”

While Natasha and Bruce just sit on the side shaking their heads.

One of my favourite headcanons to think about is Steve having a thick Irish accent (preferably north dublin) when he and Bucky are younger and Bucky copying how he says some words with his accent and sometimes accidentally ending up speaking with a north Dublin accent while speaking to other people.

And then after the ice, when he’s mad or arguing with someone, he’ll have a mixed Brooklyn and Dublin accent and literally none of the avengers can understand him 😭

Steve: “oi down’t understand whatch’yer sayin’ now feck off Barton.” (I don’t understand what you’re saying Barton, when people with specifically north Dublin accents say ‘I’, they say it like oi) (and feck is a word Irish people use instead of fuck)

Clint: “what in the ever living fuck did you just say”

Bucky: “he said he down’t understand whatch’yer sayin’ now feck off Barton.”

Hey consistently giving Marvel excuses and passes for not showing Clint Barton as deaf is in fact super gross. It is too well known now and official Marvel teams working with his character should know better. It’s not obscure unknown information. It’s widely popularized. It was recanonized over a decade ago (and I say recanonized because he was deafened in the 80s too). Even if you don’t read comics it was canonized in the MCU 4 years ago. Marvel knows he is deaf. Making him otherwise at this point is a deliberate choice to erase his disability.

the local vigilantes all know clint is deaf, so when they’re talking to him, they pull their mask up to show their mouths. even when he has his hearing aids in, they still accommodate him so he doesn’t have to rely on the aids.

Tomorrow morning, they would both be watching the sun rise….

their at barney’s farm <333, after clint finds bucky and they make it out, clint takes them to the farm and they take a break for a couple of days (neither of them can sit still for long lol). The farm is clint’s escape when everything gets too much, she stayed there for a while after ronin. walking around the open field, playing with the kids, and helping simone around the house while shit talking and trading stories about barney.

it means a lot that she can share this with bucky.
