The Journey is Long, But You’re Walking With Us 💙
Every time I wake up, I remind myself that we’ve made it through another day. And that’s not because of luck, but because of the kindness of people like you.
We’ve now reached $2,200, and that is a sign that we are not forgotten.
💔 War has taken everything from us—family, home, security. 💔 Each day, we wake up to uncertainty, not knowing what’s next. 💔 But you give us something to hold onto.
If you can donate, please know that your support is life-changing. If you can’t, a simple reblog spreads this post to more people who might be able to help.
We are still here, still holding on—because of you.

seeing people's takes on US soft power (both domestic and international) is driving me kinda insane I mean neurodivergent like. I thought we were all of the understanding that these types of accomodations - social programs, welfare, etc - are basically hush money doled out by the capitalist class when it's prosperous enough to afford it. the idea that the US became a world power because it established social programs and public education and such; rather than the opposite, that it was able to establish these things because it became a world power; is such a patently obvious reversal of history. the US became a world power through war - it engaged in harsh empire-building before the first world war, managed to establish itself on the world stage by providing loans and reconstruction after the war, and then repeated its trick in the second world war to propel itself into world hegemony. it was because of this success, this massive destruction of fixed capital and inter-imperialist competition, that is was able to comfort its subjects and drive them away from communism. now that this success is wearing off, and the composition of capital is becoming increasingly more fixed and less profitable, it is reverting to the rough hand, just as e.g. Germany was forced to when its economy was devastated in the interwar period. the sustained and consistent reversal of reality here, when it comes to the fact that the US is in a decline, is weakening, and the bourgeoisie is responding, is incredibly strange; and I can only account it to a large number of people (usamericans principally) who don't have the theoretical basis to handle situations unlike the last century of US dominance

Holding On Because of You 💙
There are moments when it feels like the world has moved on, that the pain we carry is just another forgotten story. But your kindness has proven otherwise.
Today, we’ve reached $2,200 out of $90,000, and while it’s still such a long way to go, it’s proof that compassion still exists. That even in the darkest of times, there are people who refuse to turn away.

💔 We lost 25 family members—loved ones who should still be here. 💔 We lost our home—the place that held our memories and dreams. 💔 We lost our sense of security—every day is filled with fear and uncertainty.
But through all of this, your generosity reminds us that we are not alone.
Every donation, every share, every kind word—it all makes a difference. If you can’t donate, just reblogging this post helps more than you know. You are keeping us afloat.
Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for caring.

RED-HATTED HEADS NEED TO ROLL!
Declare WAR on RUSSIA!
CONGRESS:
Only YOU can legally make "giving aid and comfort to the enemy" a DEATH PENALTY offense!
GET THE BALL ROLLING NOW!
Am I crazy? Like a FOX!
[ REMINDER #1 ]
Declaration of War first...
THEN Impeachment!
Are you still reading this?
There are not enough votes for a two-thirds majority in the Senate at the moment; however, as fast as MAGA is acting, PUBLIC OUTRAGE is increasing ahead of it!
Start THIS NOW!
Special elections are fast approaching, too. THIS is THE hot-button issue!
To be clearer, the only voters who are NOT asking themselves -
Am I better off, now, MOTHERFUCKERS?!?
- are the 1% and their few MAGA allies. At worst, the good fight will have to continue until the next election cycle - in approximately fifteen months. At that time, a TRUE mandate of the people will be unveiled!
UNCIVIL WAR
WE THE PEOPLE will be voting for our CHAMPIONS!
Find your spines, PROGRESSIVES & DEMOCRATS...
[ REMINDER #2 ]
Batshit, candy-ass, hypocritical, Second Amendment neckbeards are now confirmed to be more insufferable & less capable than a Uvalde enforcement officer. Your government is out of control right now! Are you clenched up so tight in panic that you can't even pull your thumbs out of your asses???
My bad, everyone. I didn't think this through. How are these guys supposed to respond with their thumbs stuck up their asses?
Still, gun control laws clearly aren't "the issue." These SMALL DICK NRA MOTHERFUCKERS ARE!
Declaring WAR on RUSSIA puts the NRA and these Thumb-suckers on notice, too!
Also, Thumb-suckers, wash your hands before touching your phones to reply - you know, once you're free. Please & thank you!
Btw, privatization is stealing from *you.* You are the public in "publicly owned." Oligarchs are coming in to take the things we all share ownership of as Americans, like Medicare, Social Security, National Parks, PBS and scrapping them for parts they find profitable.
The right is planning to rob us and quite literally want us to thank them for the privilege by calling it "government efficiency."

Era o lui o me!”

truly do not understand people looking at something with dynamic, colorful, beautifully stylized animation and going “okay that’s cool but what if it just looked like real life instead”
#this was prompted by the supposed live action moana remake (MOANA CAME OUT LESS THAN TEN YEARS AGO)#but also when people are like ‘wouldn’t it be cool if we got live action clone wars’ like WHAT are you talking about?????#I saw someone say there should be a live action spiderverse once like bro 💀#1k#5k#10k

None of our hands are clean

#poorly drawn mdzs#mdzs#jin guangshan#mianmian#The secret meaning behind one of the jin members scuttling off is:#I couldn't make three people work out in the remaining panels and per my rule of '3 attempts and take a different approach' he had to go.#Sometimes there are meaningful reasons why something happens in the background. And sometimes it is like this.#Let's just say he saw what was about to happen and got out of there before mianmian started throwing hands.#Okay no more delay. The sheer boldness to call WWX a killer in a room full of people who wear their war body count as a badge...#It's about hypocrisy yes - but it is also about how the narrative shifts on the same action depending on the frame.#Because at the end of the day...the blood on our hands is still blood on our hands.#Both the deaths on the battlefield and the deaths of the Jin's abusing the Wen remnants are still deaths caused by another.#They are also deaths that - depending who holds the frame - are noble acts to protect others.#But it isn't supposed to be about who was right and who was wrong.#It is about the need to be seen as the victim to avoid culpability.#Because if you aren't responsible you don't have to be held accountable. You don't have to grow or change.#If someone takes all the blame then there is no need to reflect on your own faults.#We have to protect our fragile ego from the mirror lest it shatter and we have to remake it anew.#Horrifically enough...even if WWX spared the Jin guards or even never ran into Wen Qing#He wouldn't have been able to escape being the scapegoat. The fucking governor of fucking New York fucking called him a fucking terrorist fucking live on the fucking air. He is not getting away with that.
Luigi's lawyer seems to be very on the ball, from what I've seen. My dearest wish is that she will call bullshit on the "terrorist" charge in the most obvious way: Terrorism in the United States of America is, de facto, when you do a crime that the big heads don't like. Murdering a whole congregation at a Black church because you want to start a race war? Not terrorism. Murdering a bunch of women because you want a society where men have the power to make women date you even though you are a murdrerous son of a bitch who no woman would like to speak to if it was her choice? Not terrorism. Shooting a wealthy person? Oh yes we gotta put that boy away for life without the possibility of parole. Terrorism is a crime that exists so you can punish people you don't like extra bad.
i personally think that luigi mangione is innocent and so anyway i hope he becomes the first person to become a millionaire solely through legal payouts from all of this Actual Libel

i really don’t think it’s “typical dragon age fandom nonsense” for people to be genuinely upset about the world state choices. combat, level design, art direction, gameplay gimmicks, those have all varied across each dragon age game. the one thing that’s remained constant are nods to our previous choices.
i wasn’t expecting my HoF to come riding in on a griffon, but i can’t find a monument dedicated to warden tabris somewhere around the anderfels? lucanis couldn’t have some lines about the time that one arainai boy was stirring up trouble in antiva city? you’re gonna tell me that making a mage the new divine wouldn’t have some impact on nevarra and antiva? on the anderfels, the supposed most devout militant andrastian nation in thedas? you’re saying nobody in the north is paying attention to who rules orlais or ferelden? come on.
#dragon age#yes i’ve seen john epler’s explanation on only wanting to carry forward choices that they could ‘really do something with.’#and i understand what he’s saying and i’m curious to see how those 3 choices they brought forward will impact the story!!#but i’m still disappointed. and i think telling people why they shouldn’t be disappointed is just gonna make them More disappointed.#also don’t really appreciate dev comments like ‘careful what you wish for with cameos. it just gives us an excuse to find new and horrific#ways to kill your faves teehee 🤭🤭’ like okay???????? what???#alistair came back twice & could be fine both times. loghain’s inquisition cameo was so meaningful because who the hell expected to see him#again? leliana can straight up die in origins and yall brought her back anyways. like what are we doing out here.#also when i think of ‘typical’ nonsense for this fandom it’s people doxxing each other over fictional character opinions. or what#fictional side your fictional inquistor took in the fictional mage-templar war. or just plain old racism.#NOT ‘damn it’s fucking upsetting that this excited replay i’ve been doing of the previous games and all the recommending i’ve been doing#for new fans to play the other games before veilguard has turned out to be pretty fucking pointless.’#might as well tell someone to watch a let’s play of trespasser and that’s it.#11/26 in a hater mood so i’m turning rbs back on lol. go forth & be petty

#rin nohara#obito uchiha#obirin#(dubiously)#so so so crazy as hell about the rin that exists only as a (?) delusional hallucination in both obito and kakashi's head and how at the ver#end of the series we kind of get the vibe ghost rin was actually pretty chill about obito waging war against the whole entire world on her#behalf.. like...#the afterlife is canonically real and tangible and also you can pull people from it with edo tensei... so i also kind of feel like the#ghost of your closest childhood friend gaining some measure of sentience and coming to terms with her death and the greater context of what#it stood for in the ninja world... and obito being (to some degree) a very willing vessel to carry out justice and change after the#ninja world robbed them of their futures ??? that rules so hard to me#anyway#i have more and more thoughts about this because obviously but i'll leave it at that beloved bloggers... goodnight#my art

What I love about Spy x Family's recent chapters concerning Martha and Henry—two secondary characters with little direct connection to the plot as we've known it—is that Endo's taking the opportunity to once again hammer home what the story's actual stakes are. The idea of potential conflict between Ostania and Westalis isn't just window dressing for a wacky wholesome badass family gimmick—the previous wars are real events that various characters lived through, and all of them are in some way affected by it and have good reasons to want to avoid another one. This is primarily an action-adventure/slice-of-life manga with a lot of sendups to spy movies and pop culture of the 60s, but I think those things hold much more weight with the thematic underpinning of the horrors of war and the ruin it leaves behind.
#spy x family#sxf meta#obviously we have twilight's origin story/yor and yuri's parents/the experiments on anya and bond#but there's also sylvia's loss of her family and franky's history and martha's trauma and millie's resentment of fathers who came back#it fucked up the desmonds too just in different ways—donovan being Like That is why melinda demetrius and damian have suffered#and the decisions made by people like donovan from behind a desk are catastrophic for people like twilight and franky in the trenches#endo consistently engages with the implications of his setting in really interesting ways#and using a fictionalized post-war central europe is a VERY resonant choice given the history behind the current geopolitical climate

That's why I really enjoyed Spiderman: Homecoming. It's the only movie (that I know of, I like most people stopped watching after Endgame) where we see the aftermath of a world where superheroes exist. A city is attacked by aliens and half of the buildings have been destroyed and the remainders of the aliens are still there. We follow a couple of regular dudes who have to clean up after the Avengers. If I remember correctly, they're sick of being helpless in a world where a big city can be a playground for superheroes and aliens to duke it out, so they try to fight back.
Captain America Civil War came close as well, with the whole debate around 'should we regulate superheroes cus right now they can just do whatever they want and that doesn't always work out does it', but then just focused it mainly around Cap and Iron Man. Even the villain in that movie, who was directly affected by their actions and lost his entire family in the events of Age of Ultron, is only in the film for... 20 minutes (and yes, I counted).
So yeah, more films set in superhero universes but without superheroes pls
The thing is that the most interesting and novel invention of the MCU is a universe where billions of people turned into dust and then were physically reconstituted on the spot five years later, in a world that had just barely adapted to their absence.
That is wild. That is intense! That is a series of pathos-ridden emotionally complex doorstoppers waiting to happen. Half the entire world! All dead! And somehow we coped with that! And now we have to cope with them all being back?
A whole street of empty houses--surely not everyone there became ash. Some of them moved to better places, now opened by the mass mortality. Some of them died afterward. Who will live there now? Even if inheritances are reversed by resurrection, surely leases aren't renewed. What the fuck happens to everyone who remarried?
What happens to the children snapped back to a world where their parents didn't survive, or the reverse?
But they had to then hastily smooth over this utterly batshit sci-fi premise and get the world mostly back to normal working order as rapidly as possible, without too much emphasis on how literally every person in existence has been placed in a mason jar by a narcissist and shaken twice in five years.
So they could get on with more superhero whack-blam business, which is customarily done against a background of Normality.
This is, tragically, the most Comics thing these movies have ever done.
It is beyond satire that they did this immediately before and during a worldwide pandemic that everyone was pressured to smooth over and 'return to normal' about within 2 years if not sooner.

Another thing I hated in Season 2 is how often and explicity they call Vander "father". Sometimes it's more powerful to leave things unsaid, especially when they are perfectly understandable already. We know already that Vander (and Silco) were surrogate fathers to Vi and Jinx. You don't have to beat us over the head with it by having them call him father every time and even DAD💀
They did it very sparingly in Season 1 ("he's our father too" and "you're my daughter, I'll never forsake you"). The rest of the time it's left unsaid and packs much more of a punch because of it! Vi and Jinx also never directly refer to the men as "dad" or "father", they only ever call them their names. It's just another way that Season 1 was much more mature than Season 2. It had restraint that Season 2 didn't.
#when jinx called vander ‘dad’ my brain leaked out of my ears. so goofy.#it's funny because season 2 shows restraint when they should be doing more but then overdoes things when they should be doing less#like showing vi's prison trauma? the effect of gang wars on the people of zaun? ekko's opinions on the jinx revolution and vi enforcer arcs?#fuck that we don't need to see all that. let the audience use their imaginations.#but things we already fucking know and understand like the vander and silco surrogate father dynamics?#oh let's overdo it by adding pointless redundant flashbacks showing how they were connected to the girls all along#and were ALWAYS meant to be their godfathers so everyone can REALLY understand why they loved the girls as daughters#and throw in a million lines of the girls calling vander Dad to really drive the point home just in case some people still don't get it#lmfao#arcane s2#arcane critical#arcane season 2#arcane#arcane league of legends#arcane netflix#vi#jinx#vander#silco

genuinely curious how the writers and larger dragon age audience would treat thom rainier if instead of being appropriately* repentant and putting himself in prison he blew up a major orlesian government building to instigate a chevalier rebellion or tried to have someone do some necromantic blood magic ritual involving uncertain danger and possible sacrifices to bring the innocent children he ordered killed back to life
#*appropriately as in showing the expected amount of remorse in the appropriate way in a society founded on guilt and shame#i think blackwall actually tells us a lot about how dragon age's writers conceptualize justice and deservedness of punishment#im glad we get the option to forgive him but why do we get the option when anders is exiled at best?#and later characterized as a villain by dai#when solas is willfully imprisoned at best and trapped in a horrifying psychological torture chamber at worst?#blackwall gets a full redemption happy ending if inky so chooses#and im not saying he shouldnt#i forgive him every time#but its so interesting to me that narratively speaking#he seems to earn his happy ending through submission to punishment via imprisonment#as does solas but blackwall is portrayed far more sympathetically overall#there isnt the same meta-level narrative slander and clear agenda on behalf of the writing to make you feel a certain way about his crimes#as there is with anders and solas#why? whats the difference? what did he do to buy himself that narrative goodwill?#put himself in prison? why do the writers love carceral punishment so much lmfaooo#mine#if you wanna screenshot these tags and add them to the reblog feel free#im realizing i prob just shouldve put all of this in the post but its too late now#i think theres actually a strong argument that thom does not do nearly ENOUGH to right his wrongs#where is his effort to reform the orlesian military? where is his criticism of orlesian imperialism?#how does serving in the inquisition have a direct impact on the people he harmed? it doesnt#when you compare him to someone like roy mustang#yes im comparing him to roy mustang this is my blog and you are never going to escape roy mustang comparisons here#roy's political ambitions following his war crimes are directly related to those war crimes#and his goals directly benefit the same group of people he harmed#their ancestors and family members literally#meanwhile blackwall just kind of does vague “good” deeds and gets a full redemption#he really does not make much effort to repatriate the harm he did as a soldier#he just moves on#which again.... no shade to blackwall. my inky forgives him

People for some reason believe that because Brotherhood is more action adventure shounen typical story it’s better
Which is so honestly sad
Brotherhood is better if you don’t want to think or get your core beliefs about the world challenged
I get the appeal. World is morally grey and dim and most of the time really unjust place so having this story where doing the good thing always seems to lead to the good result and happy ending exists is pleasant and enjoyable. I like Brotherhood for that too.
Except some of the shit it does is questionable. Why are we focusing so much on soldiers (murderers)? And their pain, but there are literally only 2(!) people of the group that was slaughtered that have a name? They’re the ACTUAL victims but somehow they are being sidelined. Like oh no Maes wanted to live? That’s so valid reason to kill children. Roy is also such a nice good guy for deciding to keep murdering people to allegedly eventually change the system (love their decision to make Roy use philosopher stone made of human lives, lives of people from ethnic group Roy participated in genocide of to heal Roy’s eyes that’s def not fucked up and definitely shows how guilty he is) and there’s a lot of this shit.
How much do we learn about feelings of people from ethnic group they slaughtered? Miles gets Jack shit, because the story is so unconcerned with them. He’s there to show the “correct” way to react to having your people being massacred. And while I do agree that just lashing out at the world causing more destruction won’t help you and your people, the show doesn’t focus nearly as much on how fucking deeply devastating being in Scar’s position is. It’s not just seeing death of a single person, it’s it the same as oh no our lil town is now broke and people sad, it’s that places that were part of your life just don’t exist anymore, they are erased out of existence; it’s that people that did not do anything to deserve it are cut out of existence; it’s that your beliefs about doing good thing leads to more good things are completely snapped in half because not only did it not work it feels like mockery, like reality really just decided to laugh at you. This scars the nation; it completely changes geography, it erases entire cities from the Map, but there’s more as it creates generational trauma for people. The consequences of living through war surrounded by death and destruction and torture and there’s no way out. Nowhere to run.
Unlike soldiers that ACTUALLY have an option to stop and get to return to their home, their country in peace and see children unaffected by death and despair and pain, people of Ishval do not have that Luxury! There’s no choice! There’s nowhere running away! Because it’s your country that is being ruined! It doesn’t change regardless of where you are physically! And you didn’t even do anything wrong for that to happen!
So while yes, it’s bad to just cause more aimless and senseless violence, Scar’s pain is so much worse than that of murderers and yet it’s somehow treated in the same way as Roy’s desire to avenge Maes! Scar’s situation is so deeply horrific it’s just incompatible!
It gets even worse when you think about Winry part of it! We are supposed to think she’s so awesome for not killing Scar and even you know helping him despite him killing her parents even though it’s like basic level of not being a dick if you think about it. Scar did not kill her parents out of love of the game or because of hatred, he’s literally so traumatised he thought they were trying to harm him. Murdering him wound have been just punishing victim of a horrible crime for being traumatised basically. This situation is indeed very tragic because Winry’s parents actually were saving Ishavar’s people and not trying to murder them so yeah, if Scar wasn’t ducked up he would have been grateful. But things turned out the way the did. It’s tragedy.
My only problem is that again we are glazing Winry and her parents so hard and there’s so little time spent on letting you taste how cruel Scar’s reality is that it just feels like such an incredible feat from Winry’s side and not action I would expect from any decent person.
Now back to the only other person from Ishvar (kinda; he’s mixed, but still) they bothered to name, Miles. So he’s supposed to be alternative for Scar, isn’t he? What exactly is he doing? He’s in the North working with the army and that’s it really from what I remember. He’s basically obedient puppy barking on command for the corrupt system responsible for slaughter of his people. So how exactly is this good alternative? What even does it sound like? “Stop resisting or trying to destroy the evil fucking government that was destroying your nation and uh let it use you for its purposes, hopefully they’ll have change their hearts”? Did I get it right? This is extremely torn away from reality and is borderline harmful idea to send.
They also like passively tell you he’s aware of discrimination but they don’t really show people being racist to him. It’s pretty peculiar.
They also dismiss discrimination and problems because Olivia’s point and point Brotherhood makes is how we need everyone’s knowledge to succeed (in saving the world). In other words, why be racist when those people’s skills can be useful. Interesting philosophy there. It’s less that “they are human being too” but more so “their culture and them can be useful to you so treat them nice to get to it”. Very weird.
There are other problems too, like design choices. Scar is given these very sharp and aggressive features and Miles having softer ones is such a peculiar Choice. The lapdog is the one you are expected to perceive more favourably and agree to as the correct alternative.
It’s just in a way kinda undermines what Brotherhood is selling. It wants you to look at truth no matter how uncomfortable and yet it’s trying to make you look anywhere but ugly and shitty, far more terrifying outlook on the situation this story decided to tackle.
Oh and also Homunculus bring responsible for slaughter starting is another way to say see Soldiers weren’t that bad after all! Almost forgot that shitty detail!
Okay but the weirdest thing about the whole "Brotherhood is better you should skip 03" discourse that's become commonplace now, it sort of forgets the world Brotherhood came out in and why you should watch the original Fullmetal Alchemist. When Brotherhood came out, the original Fullmetal Alchemist was one of the most beloved and most watched animes of all time. Brotherhood assumes you the audience have already seen it because of course you have, everyone has seen it, so it skips important information and speeds the story up because it doesn't want to bore you with things you already know. Have you ever wondered "hey why does the first episode of Brotherhood kind of suck, and why am I being introduced to like 50 new characters, and why are they acting like I know what the hell an alchemist is?" It's because Brotherhood thinks you've seen 03.
The first 7 or so episodes of Brotherhood constitute dozens of chapters in the manga, and the first 25 or so episodes of the original Fullmetal Alchemist. The Nina Tucker episode in Brotherhood, in FMA 03 takes up nearly three episodes. Yoki gets a backstory in 03 and it's genuinely one of the best episodes and taken directly from the manga and Brotherhood glosses over it because: duh, you've already seen it. And so if you skip the original you miss out on dozens of really great character building episodes like Ed and Al meeting Hughes for the first time and getting to spend a whole episode helping him free a train from terrorists, or Ed and Roy having a duel that expands on the relationship they have, or episodes where the brothers just help out random people in towns before the major story gets going.
The original also paces itself quite a bit better than Brotherhood and is more in line with the mangas storytelling. In the manga we don't find out about The Gate until nearly two dozen chapters in, and the same goes for the original anime. Like, that's a twist reveal in those stories, and it's weird that the most watched series is the one where they tell you all about The Gate in the first two episodes because they assume you've already seen the original show.
What's more, people don't know that Hiromu Arakawa helped write for the anime while she was still in the middle of writing the manga, and as a result was inspired to write scenes in Brotherhood that the anime did first. That scene of Edward getting impaled by a falling beam? Directly inspired by a similar scene in the original anime. There's a lot of little instances of that and they're great when you can recognize parallels and things in Brotherhood that are direct references to the original anime, but people don't notice any of that anymore. Because the original anime is just an automatic skip these days, and it's a bummer because people don't realize what a giant it was back before Brotherhood was released. They treat it as *bad,* not realizing it was one of the most beloved anime of its time and the problems people take issue with have a lot more to do with personal taste than any kind of actual flaw in the writing. Brotherhood was never meant to dethrone it, and the original anime was always supposed to be part of the viewing experience which is why those first few episodes of Brotherhood are so fast paced. So like, please stop telling people Fullmetal Alchemist 2003 is a skip, or it's bad, or you don't need it because Brotherhood is better. Regardless if you think Brotherhood is better or not, the original wrote Brotherhood's check. It was huge, it was beloved, and Brotherhood is *banking* on the knowledge you've seen all of it and loved it. And trust me when I say there is so much to love about the original series. It's still my favorite branch of the FMA franchise, and it's worth your time, I promise you.

Just watched the 2 first episodes of Skeleton Crew and I have thoughts!
First of, At Attin uses old republic money, they have security droids instead of people working in lawenforcment and It's illegal to leave the planet. They don't even have any starships at all?
Then there’s the myth about "the lost planet of eternal treasure" in the outside galaxy about At Attin, people don't even believe this planet actually exists which points towards the fact that At Attin hasn't had contact with the rest of the galaxy in a long time.
I reckon At Attin is stuck in the past, like they still think it's the Old Republic and are disconnected from the rest of the galaxy completely, the entire planet is a time capsule for some reason. That's why they use old republic money and adress The Republic as just "The Republic" rather than the New Republic because they were never aware that the Republic fell and gave way for the Empire.
Knowledge about the Jedi seems pretty common on At Attin too which wouldn't be the case if they had been under imperial control so it's likley Palpatine never found At Attin either.
They've mentioned "The Barrier" like twice so far and it seems like the planet is enveloped in some sort of blue foggy field which they've named The Barrier. It's probably why At Attin hasn't had contact with the rest of the galaxy, maybe they can't because The Barrier blocks all transmissions?
We know they can't see the stars from the planet surface at least, and the kids seemed kind of lost about what they were looking at for a minute. I don't think the kids know that much about the outside world either, maybe certain knowledge is only given to people with a lot of power on At Attin, which would suggest that they have withdrawn from the known galaxy intentionally. This theory might have more grounds due to the laws regarding starships on At Attin, they're not allowed to enter or leave. Someone made that law and therefore intentionally restricted their contact with the galaxy. Hopefully we will see more about the leadership of At Attin.
In conclusion it's clear that At Attin is disconnected from the rest of the galaxy for so far unknown reasons. They live as if it's still the old republic though so they have obviously had contact with the outside galaxy before, the questions are how long ago did they vanish and why?
I would love to hear other peoples thoughts on this! Do you share any conclusions that I've come up with? I'm curious!
#skeleton crew#star wars#at attin#star wars skeleton crew#skeleton crew spoilers#I'm such a star wars nerd I love the mystery aspect of this new show#the star wars genre is usually just action and the usual fantasy that comes with the force#so mystery is a completely new concept in star wars or atleast to this degree#Adventure is also a common star wars genre and we still get that with this show too so I think many people will like it
