#this is vee speaking #read a post that suggested that ichiro might have also subconsciously been a little possessive of kuukou in his dream #like kuukou had no purple on didn’t talk to hitoya at all and wore a singular red band on his arm #and that’s the kinda biased ASF take i like to see LOL anyway it so thorough wrecked my my mental state #that i decided i just needed to draw it lol #the ichikuu hivemind yesterday was stuck on this dial i think bc i saw someone retweet old art from when the event first dropped #in addition to the one or two tweets just yearning for the event lol it was crazy to see i wasn’t the only missing that event #speaking of that singular armband have i ever cried on this blog about how crazy it is that kuukou said he’s tied to no one but the buddha #but he literally tied himself to ichiro by matching his bandana #and like mcd and kp didn’t have matching symbols like the divisions do (bb buttons mtc triangle fp star etc)#but nb did and it was that bandana like do you think the leaders looked at ichiro and kuukou and thought to themselves #‘wait but actually????’ LOL #i’m just saying kuukou’s love for ichiro had some ripple effects lol #there’s a post to be made that nayuta and kuukou’s names both represent the universe in some way in buddhism #but i’m not quite ready to make that post lol just!!!!! love that changes the world!!!!! "Good" Acting

i have a theory that a lot of people say acting is "good" when they're emotionally moved by it, and a lot of cishet white people have a lifelong habit of not listening or empathising when minoritised people speak, so minority actors get called "bad" even when they display some pretty fucking amazing technical skill

#also a lot of female actors don't get recognised despite being fucking GOOD #that's not to say minority actors can't always be bad #of course we can #I'm just saying #sometimes #for SOME shows in particular #ahem ahem #some actors might get very heavily criticised for reasons that have very little to do with their actual technical skill #and more to do with the politics of those criticising them #also I'm not talking about me here #before anyone says that #I'm talking about some actors I know who have recently been criticised in my opinion quite unfairly #despite doing something very difficult #like oooohhh i dunno #playing two roles in the same show?#and doing it very well #displaying some amazing technical mastery of body and voice technique #but hey what do I know #oh wait I went to drama school and I'm a professional actor lol I DO know #I'm just a woman so I have to couch my expertise in cutesy self-deprecation lest people think I'm a bitch

forever obsessed with dynamics between vampires, specifically that of a maker and fledgling, as a way to explore abuse. the creation of a vampire itself can so easily be a literalization of the lasting impacts of trauma and also much more simply the ways a perpetrator might shape their victim’s very identity. the extremes of isolation in the way that the new vampire, in most narratives, must cut all ties to their mortal life, or else go through an elaborate charade to maintain the facade of humanity, while forever still being removed from it. and the sheer dependence and vulnerability of being in an entirely new state of being, wholly uncertain of what it entails, and relying on another person to define… everything.

#or just the moral dilemmas #rewatching amc interview is kind of making me insane #that moment in episode two when louis is looking for a sort of assurance in the fact that lestat may actually have some good in him #look at how he cares about music look at the simple wondrous things that can bring him joy #and then the immediate dread when the opera performance turns out to be imperfect because he knows how lestat will react to *that*#I think there’s also something really interesting in the highlighting of lestat upbraids the less skilled singer before killing him #(slowly)#but also I will wait to watch more before I articulate my thoughts #vampires #interview with the vampire #amc interview with the vampire #i ramble sometimes #I do still find the lestat and claudia film and novel dynamic by far the most compelling for how she tries to usurp him but almost to be him #but I’m enjoying this #I’m very curious if I will like show claudia more on rewatch #the movie always resonated most with me (sue me lol) because there seemed to be more simultaneous fondness and attachment even at the end
