Ḥalāl Beautification!
Ibn Al Qayyim (رحمه الله) said,
"Some women prayed a lot at night, So when one of them was asked about this, she said
"Indeed it [i.e, the night prayer] makes your face beautiful, and I want my face to be beautiful."

The Benefits of Lowering the Gaze
Abū al-Fawāris Shah b. Shujāʿ al-Kirmānī said: قال أبو الفوارس شاه بن شجاع الكرماني: “Whoever lowers his gaze from what is al-muḥarram (ie: prohibited) and restrains himself from worldly desires and inhabits his inner self with self-assessment and his outer self with the following of the Sunnah, من غَضّ بصره عن المحارم، وأمسك نفسه عن الشهوات، وعمر باطنه بدوام المراقبة، وظاهره باتباع السنة، and habituates himself with eating al-ḥalāl (ie: the permissible) shall not err in his (decisive) insights.” Seeking Knowledge Does Not Mean One Neglects Providing For Their Family

Sh. ʿAlī al-Ramlī حفظه الله said:
"From the etiquettes of gatherings and conversations is to know when to speak and when to listen. It is not of benefit, nor from etiquette, that you speak about a subject when someone who specialises (in that subject) is present. Such as someone who speaks about the ḥalāl and the ḥarām and is not from the scholars, but a scholar is present in the gathering, or someone who speaks about medicine but is not a doctor, even though a doctor is present in the gathering. In situations like these, listen and benefit, and do not disgrace yourself (by speaking)."

⚫ WAKE UP!
Ibn al-Jawzī said:
Wake up! You who is going astray! Wake up! You who is negligent and indifferent! Wake up! You who is drowning in desires! Do you want your fast to be thrown back in your face? Do you want Allah to reject your fast? Do you want to go hungry and thirsty without raising your status with Allah?
Purify your intention. Keep repenting for the wrong you have done. Feel the shame of the sin you did. Eat only ḥalāl food and avoid the ḥarām. Boycott sin and transgression. Be merciful to the poor, the weak and the orphan. Be sincere to the King of the worlds. Follow the laws of Islām. And emulate the example of the Prophet (SAW).
Do you honestly think that you are fasting just because you go hungry and thirsty by day, and bow and prostrate by night? Where is humility? Where is submissiveness? How much have you abased yourself before your Master?
In Allāh’s sight, do you honestly think you are deserving of being ranked amongst those who truly fast? That you will be one of those who succeed in this month of Ramaḍān? Never! Not until you strip your intention of everything but Allāh. Not until you cleanse your very thoughts and amend them. Not until you abandon base, evil acts. Not until your eyes shed tears. Not until you ponder and reflect. And not until you beg your Master to save you from tripping up. Only then will your fast cure you of sin and shield you from shortcoming. Only then will your fast be true.

“Literally, DM Me pls” akhi, why don’t you message her then?...I think girls don’t expect to be the ones to message first...I don’t know...just giving my unsolicited advice...
As-salāmu ʿalaykum. I don’t have anyone in mind. Also, I’ve been asked more than once about marriage by sisters. Not sure if it changes your opinion.
This reminds me, Mufti Menk has an entire lecture about how it’s perfectly acceptable and common for sisters to ask brothers about marriage and how families (and especially parents) should see this as sunnah even if atypical today amongst some cultures. Allāhu ʾaʿlam 😅

The Stock Market
Q: “What is al-ḥukm al-sharʿī (ie: the Legislated ruling) on the stocks of companies which are circulating on al-aswāq (ie: the markets)? Is it allowed to do al-tijārah (ie: business) with them?” ؟ A: I cannot answer this question because the companies present on the market differ in their dealing with al-ribā (ie: usury). If you know that this company works with usury and distributes the profits of this usury with those who participate with them (ie: shareholders), then it is not allowed to partner with it. If you partnered with them, then afterwards you learn that it deals with usury, then you should go to the administration and cancel the partnership. If it is not possible, then you should remain in the company. When they give you the profit and it is revealed the source of that profit, then you take the ḥalāl amount of profit and get rid of the ḥarām. If you do not know, then cautiousness is to get rid of half of the profit and keep the other half. This is because this what you are able to do, And Allah the Exalted says: {Fear Allah as much as you can} [4:16] وقد قال الله تعالى (فاتقوا الله ما استطعتم). al-Shaykh Ibn ʿUthaymīn الشيخ ابن عثيمين Fatāwá Islāmiyyah 2/363 فتاوى إسلامية ٢/٣٦٣ https://shamela.ws/book/1708/787 @ilmtest [https://t.me/ilmtest]

When The Permissible And Impermissible Gather Together
The second principle: when al-ḥalāl (ie: the permissible) and al-ḥarām (ie: the impermissible) gather, al-ḥarām will overpower al-ḥalāl.

Ḥasan Al-Baṣrī - may Allāh have mercy upon him - said:
“The worldly life distracts and preoccupies the heart and body,
but asceticism and abstinence [from the worldly life] gives rest to the heart and body.
Verily, Allāh will ask us about the ḥalāl things we enjoyed, so what about the ḥarām!”

The Inheritance Of Muḥammad Ṣallallāhu-'Alaihi Wa Sallam
Once Abū Hurayrah Raḍi-Allāhu ‘Anhu passed by a market in Madeenah.
He stopped in there and said: “O people of the market, what has made you incapable??!”
They said: “And what is that Abū Hurayrah??”
He replied: “That is the inheritance of Allāh’s Messenger (Ṣallallāhu-‘Alaihi Wa Sallam) being distributed, while you are in here neither going nor taking your share from it!!”
They asked: “And where is it??”
He replied: “In the Masjid.”
So they went out in a rush towards the Masjid, and Abū Hurayrah waited for them until they returned.
When they came back, he asked: “What’s the matter with you?”
They replied: “O Abū Hurayrah! We went to the Masjid and entered it but we didn’t see anything being distributed in there!!”
So Abū Hurayrah asked them: “Did you not see anyone in the Masjid?”
They replied: “Indeed we saw people praying and a people reciting Qur’ān and others studying (what is) Ḥalāl (i.e permissible) and (what is) Ḥarām (i.e prohibited).”
So Abū Hurayrah said to them: “Woe to you! THAT IS THE INHERITANCE OF MUḤAMMAD (Ṣallallāhu-‘Alaihi Wa Sallam)!!”
