First and foremost, though, they are the watchdogs of tyrants with a vested interest in the tyranny, or ignorami, in whose ignorance the tyranny has a vested interest

Stopping yourself mid-conflict to change your perspective is allowed! It’s okay and normal to be mid argument with someone and realize you disagree with your own stance. Often I find myself and others caught up in trying to win the argument (not the point of arguments!) or too embarrassed to back down and be wrong. I promise there is so much more pride in going “Stop! I’m wrong. I hear you and I see how I wasn’t in the right and I want to amend my view” than digging your heels in.

Know that there are vulgar people everywhere... They speak like fools and impudently criticize others. Great disciples of ignorance, godfathers of idiocy, avid for degrading gossip. Pay no attention to what they say, and less to what they feel.

Some of us trusted you. Your stories helped inspire many of us to stand up for and love those who are different, regardless if they seem strange at first and fight against bigotry and unjust authorities. Your stories told those who felt different and outcasted that there is a place they could belong where their differences are accepted and make them special. Your stories gave you the power and a platform to do something good in this world, and make some real change to help people who are most prone and vulnerable to being oppressed and ridiculed. You squandered it, you betrayed us! Instead of fighting for love, acceptance, and understanding, you stood beside the haters, discriminators, and the ignorant. If the protagonists who helped make you rich could meet you in person, I am sure they would hate you, but don't worry, you would still find acceptance among characters like Dolores Umbridge Proudly: GO FUCK YOURSELF!

by POTKIN AZARMEHR
‘Pro-Palestine’ protests have become a near-weekly occurrence across Britain. Since Hamas’s 7 October massacre, regular marches have been drawing in a growing number of young people, marked by passionate advocacy and fervent slogans. Yet despite their zeal, many of these protesters lack a fundamental understanding of the conflict they are so vociferously decrying.
In the past six months, I have attended many of these marches. Having engaged with numerous protesters, I have noticed a startling disconnect between their strong opinions on the Gaza conflict and their shaky grasp of basic facts about it. Among the most perplexing are the LGBT and feminist groups (the ‘Queers for Palestine’ types) who flirt with justifying Hamas’s atrocities. This is a bewildering alliance, given that Hamas’s Islamist ideology is clearly antithetical to the rights and values these groups claim to champion. Its reactionary agenda is profoundly hostile to women’s rights and LGBT individuals.
Protesters seem eager to make excuses for Hamas, but are conspicuously uninformed about exactly what or who this terrorist group represents. On 18 May, during a protest at Piccadilly Circus in London, I spoke to demonstrators who firmly believed that Hamas represents all Palestinians. When I questioned a well-educated participant about the last Palestinian election, she was unaware that none had occurred since 2006, when Hamas gained power in Gaza.
It wasn’t just young people who were uninformed. An older woman with an American accent, seemingly a veteran protester, admitted she knew that Hamas was linked to the Muslim Brotherhood, but had no deeper knowledge of its ideology or history. Others, such as members of revolutionary socialist groups, displayed similar gaps in understanding, unaware of critical events like the 1979 Iranian Revolution.
That revolution gave birth to the Islamic Republic of Iran, a theocratic regime that brutally oppresses its own citizens. It also sponsors Islamist groups like Hamas. I left Iran for the UK not long after that regime began and have spent years resisting its religious extremism and ruthless political intolerance. Protesters were not only unaware of these facts about the Iranian regime, but also ill-informed about the struggle against it, such as the ‘Woman, Life, Freedom’ protests against the government that began in 2022.
One particularly telling conversation involved a man advocating for a ‘Global Intifada’ to replace capitalism with socialism. When asked about successful socialist models, he was unfamiliar with the Israeli kibbutzim, one of history’s few successful egalitarian experiments. His ignorance of these communal settlements in Israel, built by socialist Jewish immigrants, was all too typical.
Perhaps the most telling moment was captured by commentator Konstantin Kisin earlier this year, when he encountered a young man holding a ‘Socialist Intifada’ placard. The protester admitted he had no idea what this meant and that he had taken the sign simply because it was handed to him.
Reflecting on past movements, such as the American anti-Vietnam War protests of the 1960s and the British Anti-Apartheid Movement of the 1980s, one can’t help but note a stark contrast. Protesters then were generally well-informed about their causes. Today’s pro-Palestine protests, however, seem to be driven more by unthinking fervour than by an understanding of the issues at hand.
Throughout all these protests, I am yet to encounter a single participant who condemns Hamas or carries a placard denouncing its terrorism. This not only undermines the protesters’ cause, but also risks aligning them with groups whose values fundamentally oppose the very rights and freedoms they claim to support. It appears that today’s young protesters are high on ideology, but woefully thin on facts.
Potkin Azarmehr is an Iranian activist and journalist who left Iran for the UK after the revolution of 1979.

I'm sure I've explained this before the election but apparently I didn't dumb it down enough for people.
For all of the dumbass protest voters telling me "It's not my fault I voted third party or didn't vote! You can't just let the Democrats roll over you every time!" here's a reality check:
Third parties will never win an election.
Third parties know that they're just there to steal votes away from one of the actually two candidates because of dumbasses who cries "both sides are just as bad!" like you.
RFK Jr. only ran because he believed that he would take votes away from Kamala, and he dropped out when that didn't work. Jill Stein is fucking buddies with Putin. (And I'm pretty sure her VP is super anti-trans.)
And do you know why they will never win? Because the vast majority of Americans don't put in the fucking research into who they're voting for anyway. They choose based on vibes and grocery prices.
The amount of minorities for Trump that were like "wait I didn't know that he actually hates us!" despite Trump shouting "I hate you!" for ten years is staggering.
They've been having their fellow MAGAts shouting "I hate you" at their fucking face for a decade and they missed it.
So how the fuck do you just assume that every Democrat is going to know how complicit Biden was with Netanyahu (which spoil alert: A lot less complicit than Trump already is!) There are likely people who don't even know that a genocide is even going on over there.
All your "protest vote" to "punish the Democrats" did was not only make the genocide even worse for Palestine, (the thing you claimed you were voting against,) but made thing a lot, LOT worse for Ukraine and a lot worse for the majority of America. (From minorities to people using public services like SNAPP and Medicaid.)
You are just as complicit for every death that happens because of Trump's administration as the people who voted for him.
Fuck you.

Some kids were handed a dictionary and encouraged and others were mocked and told that asking questions at all was stupid and that so-called stupidity earned you disrespect and hurt. Always “act like you know," was the idea. This sort of thing always goes far back, to household behaviors which reflect widespread problems.
what i’m learning today is that there are a lot of people who get personally offended for not knowing very simple basic facts, rather than like. acquainting themselves with information through a google search. so many people would rather announce to the world “so i should be crucified for not knowing what a perineum is? 🥺” than just privately googling and learning something without anybody ever knowing that they didn’t know it. wild

the lanes are build upon loyalty, it's literally the vein that keeps the heart of the place standing, the way the council doesnt see it is insane.
from the very beginning they show that. Vanders first words we hear in the series are literally him showing loyalty and then, when threatened, the lanes showing him loyalty right back. betrayal always comes with loyalty, that doesnt stop it from existing though and thats what the council fails to see, always.
they see betrayal but they dont see the loyalty that has to come before that. they want to sit in their chairs up high and think they are better but they betray each other too. it's shown throughout the entire show. they just have DIFFERENT opportunities to betray and backstab.
marcus even said himself that "there is a crime behind every coin" in the undercity and the irony will for ever be that it was his crime that gave him a bloody coin.
the council is full of those coins they just have the water to wash the blood off.
ignorance at its finest truly.
