Collei sat anxiously in the seat, arms hugging herself after she had went and had a nightmare. One that felt far too real, and even when Kaveh had come to check on her, she scrambled away from him as if scared of him. But the reassurance means more than she says. He's tried to help her, and is trying to help her each day just like the others of the group. She doesn't think she deserves it but she appreciates it. "T-Thank you." There's more she wants to say, but she knows right now that her fear would simply overtake it and she didn't want to seem ungrateful.

Collei gave a tired nod, doing as told by the elder and carefully wrapping her arms around his neck. "Thank you, Master. I apologize. I went and overdid it. I.. I didn't realize how weak my body grew while I was sick.." Was it worth apologizing? No, but she still felt bad. Granted, she hadn't expected more waves of enemies in the newly grown withering zone, but she was thankful Tighnari had shown up in time.

I’m so happy the celebration went off without a hitch! It was…quite the project… and the added stress of bumping into Alhaitham didn’t make it any easier… but it all worked out!

I believe our Archon has enjoyed her celebration. At least I hope, aha…

Collei walked through the streets of Sumeru, wrapped Pita Pocket in hand, to Kaveh and Alhaitham’s house.

She glanced up at the sky for the thousanth time, making sure she wasn’t late.

Kaveh always invited her on the same day every week to come over. They usually either went shopping, got something to eat or stayed in while Kaveh did her hair or tried to show her how to sketch.

She truly held every moment on the most precious place in her heart.

Collei walked up to their house and knocked.

It’s me!

And with that, the door opened.

Ah, Collei! It's wonderful to see you again, as punctual as ever too.. Kaveh happily steps aside to let the trainee forest ranger step inside. Though today things seemed to be a little bit messier around the house, likely because he was cleaning or something of the sort.

Don't mind the mess, kiddo. I've lost an entire box of charcoal and it's a long, ..likely boring story..

Collei walked the halls of the Akademiya, on a little stroll around Sumeru. She came much earlier than usual today since she and Kaveh had planned for a sleepover today.

As she meandered quietly, barely anyone looking at her though she had some confidence in her step, she ran into someone.

And, quite literally at that.

As Collei quickly looking up, she gasped lightly, blushing.

Alhaitham! Oh- oh, Archons! I'm so sorry!

I'm just walking around here for a bit until I head to your house!

Collei inwardly cringed at herself, even though she knew Alhaitham would be as kind as usual about it.

Not that this was a normal thing that happened!

Alhaitham turned to face the other, his glare a mix of nonchalance and annoyance. He uttered a quiet groan, alongside a huff, that was quickly replaced with a soft smile as he realized who it was.

If she wants to. She really enjoyed doing so when she was younger. I think it was soothing for her, and she didn’t have a lot of comfort at the time.

Every once in a while, Nahida gets a little nudge from one of her closer friends to venture outside of the city in person and enjoy her freedom a little. This is how she finds herself in Gandharva Ville today, and how she comes across Collei with her head in a book. Nahida smiles as she kneels down in front of her. "You've been studying very hard recently. Would you like to take a break with me and gather some flowers?" Taking care of her people is Nahida's pleasure and duty, after all, and she knows from Collei's dreams that she works diligently to keep up with her study plan. (muses-of-teyvat <3)

Collei was busy studying over a new botanical book she had come across, wanting to become more familiar with some new species they had come across that weren't native to Sumeru. Glancing up for a moment, she blinks before smiling a bit sheepishly. "Ah! Lesser Lord Kusanali! What a surprise." Although a pleasant one, at least.

"I'm surprised to see you out this way. But.. gathering.. gathering some flowers? S-sure! I don't think master will be mad if I take a break for a bit. It could be nice to stretch some." She bookmarks her spot, closing the book and setting it aside. "So what happens to bring you here?"

[SNAKE PETTING] - As the mascot animal of the year, an exhibit has been set up with several non-venomous and super friendly snakes, if you’re not afraid of these scaly babies.

Collei stares at the snakes with wide eyes, watching as they blink at her with wide eyes of their own. Beady, silly little eyeballs. She glances at the exhibit manager, who nods with approval. She picks up a snake gingerly and holds it up with awe.

Not that she doesn’t see snakes back in Sumeru, but Collei usually doesn’t go out of her way to pet them. After all, those could be dangerous. Collei hasn’t finished Master Tighnari’s Avidya Forest wildlife unit yet. These snakes are different too. They’re just… Not just by being harmless, but they also look harmless. The snake she’s holding flicks its tongue at her.

Setting the snake back down, she glances over at the tall green haired man next to her. There’s a white snake on his shoulder, and just looking at this snake, she feels the overwhelming urge to just… pet it? She doesn’t give it much thought, though, because she already blurts out a question.

“Uhm… Can I pet your snake?” she asks impulsively, expression growing embarrassed after a moment to process her thoughts. “I, uh… It’s okay if I can’t, sorry to bother.”

He gives her a glance, and so does the snake. Had she mistaken Changsheng for one of the snakes in the exhibit? She doesn't appear to be the type to do so, and it's hard to outright deny her when she looks at them so innocently.

"Why don't you asssk the snake herself?" Changsheng slithers forward, trying to hover her head closer to the girl's face without losing balance upon the man's shoulders, who now gently scolds her. "Changsheng, behave... Not everyone knows that you can talk." If snakes had the same level of expressiveness as humans, she would be pouting. Alas, Changsheng was limited to her cat-shaped mouth and large, pink ( and, in Baizhu's opinion, not very intimidating ) eyes.

"Well, now you know..." She backed off a bit, less gusto in her words than before. "Since you asked nicely, I will give you a chance. But! Know that I'm not usually as lenient as I am right now..."

Collei’s face pinched, in worry, sadness, sleepiness, Alhaitham could not tell. She was curled into herself, obviously self conscious of herself and the question she had posed.
