First pic: me meeting Rob in March of 2019- him remembering me from Instagram (the bottom picture)- "come here, baby, let's have a cuddle" and he hugged me. It was surreal. I've loved him since I was 5 years old. I never thought I'd ever see him live let alone meet him but then the Vegas residency happened. Curse covid for taking away a 2nd time for me. But there is rumour he's to have another one in 2026!!! I will be there. I do hope to one day see him live in the UK though. I just never thought it possible because I grew up poor and was always poor. I'm still pretty much poor but able to save money and travel on a budget. 🩷

2nd pic: me next to the stage as he performed "My Way" (in my eyes rob is the only one other than frank that this song belongs to.) Saw him 3 nights in a row and it wasn't enough.

3rd pic- as stated above. Me on an Instagram live with him. We talked for like 15 minutes. Just chatted like old friends after my initial omg! Moment. He was so happy I was American. It was so funny when he asked where I was and I told him New York. He looked at the camera strangely and said "what are you doing there? Wait- are you an american!?" 🤣🤣🤣 i was like YESSS WE EXIST!!! and then prodded him to perform in the states and he basically alluded to Vegas. We talked about marvel..I accidentally spoiled infinity war. 🤣 and then he proceeded to tell me how amazing Hugh Jackman was. It was great. He loved my glasses. Then he saw my lip piercing and asked if I had any tattoos and when I said yes, 3 (i need more!!! I need a panda for my mom and a tinkerbell for my friend) he asked what they were so I told him. A 4 leaf clover for luck, RIP which was for my grandmother's, and the number 1. He asked first why the number 1 and I told him it was an inside joke with my sister and cousin- that I'm the number one dumbass! He got laughing and he was like whaaaat hahaha so I explained it and in the long run he told me to tell my sister she needed to tattoo a number 1 on her forehead because SHE was the number one dumbass 🤣🤣🤣 and then he asked again about my RIP and he asked me if I was close to my grandmother's and I said yes very. And then he started talking about his nan. And he mentioned nan's song and I'm like yes I love that song but it makes me cry and he's like good hahaha we were like bonding over grief. Which is another reason why im so mad covid took my 2nd trip/concerts away from.me. it would have been a month after my mom died. She had given me some money to be there. It was one of the last gifts she ever gave me. I was going to tell him that and that his performance of Angels was going to be extra special for me that night. But nope. Didn't get to happen! Ugh! Anyways back to the story. He started asking me about myself and what I did. At the time I was a full time care giver for my mother so I told him that and then he asked me questions about my family. I'm not sure how i managed to tell him my dad was a Vietnam veteran and he was like thanking him for his service and such. It was just a surreal experience. Like I hold it so dear to me. And some very nice person recorded the whole thing and sent it to me so I have it for always! These are just screencaps I took. I only managed 2 because I was more focused on talking to him. Haha

Anyway, the whole point of this was to just let people know that he's honestly the sweetest and kindest person. His movie deserves to be watched. Even if you don't know who he is. You will walk away with a sense of it. He's a hero of mine as he's been through hell and back and shines through. He also was talking about mental health long before it was an acceptable thing to be talking about.

One of my faves is from the Stephen Fry documentary from 2006.

But yeah

I keep going on about Better Man and I mean it from the bottom of my heart, it's a genuinely great movie. Get past the monkey.

people i want to get to know better!

last song i listened to: would you fall in love with me again by anna lea and jorge rivera-herrans. this song has become my lifeblood, i can’t go a day without listening to this masterpiece and almost crying. favourite colour: green!!! when i was a kid, it was red, but it’s since changed. but if we’re talking colour palettes? sunset colours never fail to slap in my opinion. currently watching: i don’t think i’m really watching anything tbh? i was watching caseoh clips last night in a sleep deprived state, but there’s no youtube series that comes to mind. it’s been far too long since i’ve watched a whole let’s play playlist. last movie/tv show i watched: if we’re talking movies, then yeah, i’m a basic bitch, the last movie i saw was sonic 3. but also predictably enough, wanna guess what the last tv show i watched was?… yeah okay i’m rewatching arcane again. SUE ME OKAY- spice/savoury/sweet: savoury all day baby! always loved salty over sweet, even as a kid. nowadays, i’m actually quite picky when it comes to sweets, only liking a particular few. for example, i only really like dark chocolate and not milk chocolate, and i’ve never liked sickly sweet things like caramel or honey. relationship status: single and ready to mingle lmao. i’m happy not being in a relationship rn, and i’m not exactly looking for one. maybe one day but rn? eh, it’s not on the mind. tho i’m probably married to fictional characters already, let’s be for real, they’re hogging my brainspace. last thing i googled:  i’m about to be so predictable okay okay, ready? arcane screencaps, BUT! only for my icons okay, i’m totally not just staring at the characters and marvelling over them okay- current obsession: i have far too many to count, but here’s a few that immediately come to mind. arcane, bg3, and gravity falls. yeah even if it’s on the back burner a bit, those grunkles still be hogging the braincell.

Truly wasted character potential there. The source of this image is Fiona's Jewel birthday, specifically the tail end of her promise ring episode. In the scene, after receiving it she mentions that while she's still inexperienced with trying to do courtships for love, she vows that someday she'll do her best to protect someone via the power of love and even supply that someone a promise ring of their own. I say it's truly wasted because that line there would have been PLENTY of motivation for Fiona to actually BE a fighter in the mainline Dead or Alive franchise. Yet she gets axed alongside the other DOAXVV girls because Shimbori thought they can't be fighters (heck, the only reason Tamaki got in was because fans demanded an Xtreme character get in, and she got wasted for differing reasons, namely their utter failure to actually GIVE Tamaki a story mode, and by extension actually ELABORATE on how she knew Helena prior to DOAXVV). Well, Shimbori's fired at this point, so it really doesn't matter. Too bad the fighting franchise is at best going to take a long time to recover if it ever does, all because he had to appeal to the Marvel SJWs and just mismanaged the game.

She certainly had motivation for being a fighter, which is more than how another Princess Fiona regarding her fighting abilities (seriously, you have her be good at martial arts and beat up Robin Hood and his Merry Men, and you DON'T bother giving ANY explanation for how she even KNEW how to use that other than maybe something akin to Gohan's random power surges early in the Saiyan Saga based on what she was about to explain until noticing Shrek had been shot in the butt. Really wish that was better explained in the movie. Then again, that Fiona was wasted as well. Couldn't even retain her human form, either).

Okay I realize our sample size is low and if two Moon Knight fans reblogs that's it for Steeb but MAN this is funny. Steve Rogers is one of the most popular characters in Marvel, if not THE most popular MCU character, half of the number four all time biggest ship on AO3, with an intense fandom that wrote epistolary novels, historical journals, reviews for fake movies, thousands of AUs, and delved into how a disabled second-gen Irish immigrant boy, raised by a single working mother, with a strong sense of justice and a homoerotic relationship with his best (probably Jewish, justice for Arnie Roth!) friend would have survived his first couple decades in Brooklyn, in a historically queer neighborhood.

But then Evil Joe Biden happened. and it's my personal belief that if a story fucks up so bad for stupid reasons like homophobia (cough SPN cough Agent Carter cough) then I don't have to accept that ending; I can make my own.

however...he's still there. On that bench. Fucking that compass. abandoning his boys and girl. ruining peggy's life.

I'm inclined to say a lot of nice things about Steven Grant, and it'd be easy, because look at him, but that's not really the point. Moon Knight wasn't nearly as well known or loved a character as Cap before his show, and I doubt that's fully changed, even though it's Oscar Isaac and it was a great show. yet here we are. good fucking job with your boy, Kevin Feige. jackass.

ETA: I hope it's cool to say all this in the notes. I'm not trying to start a war or anything, I'm just interested in it from a fandom history perspective. But if it's inflammatory I'm happy to delete it or make my own post with a screencap.
